Description

Image
Name: Aurora Mae Laurn
Age: Nineteen
Gender: Female
Eye color: Light Green
Hair color: Light Brown
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 115
Appearance: Aurora stands around five foot seven, and is curvacious in figure. She has very pale skin, with light green eyes, and short brown hair. She always carries a pair of handguns around with her, as manipulating the gravity around the bullets is quite easy, but her main weapon is a large scythe. Her clothes are often light colored, and often revealing in nature.

Personality: Aurora's personality seems to vary from time to time. She seems to be a very good person, kind hearted, sweet, cares about others but she is also painfully stubborn, hard headed, rebellious, and wont take advice or orders from anyone. She doesn't care about what people think of her, and she will not like to what others say she should do, nor does she care about rules or authority. Mind you, she is still sensitive to other people's feelings, is a protective person, and very posessive of those she cares about, but she isn't too sensitive herself, neither emotionally or physically. She's actually extremely rugged. Aurora is someone who jumps into situations often without thinking, sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. Because of this, people often call her brave, but then others call her idiotic and stupid. Aurora has a photographic memory, and remembers everything from even when she was a young child, so she often seems bored when she's in class. She is often impatient, when she really wants something or when she doesn't have much interest in what's going on around her, she is only patient with people she cares about. Aurora can be really awkward and touchy feely at times, and treats people like she has known them forever at first approach - though sometimes depending on the person, she may treat them like trash. When it comes to relationships she's really reserved and secretive, but if she truely cares about a person she makes her world revolve around them. Aurora is quite rebellious, and if she doesn't agree with something, she is going to fight it, she easily starts fights with people and she will never admit she's wrong.

Unlike many of the hierarchy, that wants to kill and dominate, taking over and claiming to be superior - she doesn't want to kill anyone or force anything. But that isn't to say that she wont. While the idea of the suits ruling isn't completely absurd, the power abuse is. She believes that all people should be treated fairly, and the suits should just act as fair enforcers. The way she sees it, she isn't afraid to fight the other suits, to prove her point - she just really doesn't want to. Unfortunately, she is very loyal and protective of her own, and treats them like family, she loves them dearly. So if threatened, things would change. However, she's relatively sure the ace wont see her ways.

Suit: Spade; Jack
Power: Aurora has the ability to manipulate gravity at will, this may be the gravity around her, or the gravity affecting herself. She can make people fly across the room at will, or she can make them fall to the ground and unable to move. She can also take the effects of gravity and make anyone including herself...float as if in space. When combining multiple effects on gravity, she can cause immense physical pain to people. Gravity can be manipulated in many ways however.
Bio: Aurora's childhood is one that made her the person she is today. It has taught her kindness, modesty, and how to see the world from other people's eyes. She grew up in a family which didn't have money, in which barely got by with anything to eat on the table. She was the oldest of four, having two little sisters and one little brother, and she would be left to raise them at a young age. Originally, they were raised by their father, who tried to work very hard to provide them with anything that he could - their mother however, died after giving birth to the youngest child. Before so, she was quite a sickly woman, whom tried to take care of her children at home as much as she could but it wasn't enough to get anyone by. This was when Aurora stepped up as the motherly figure, taking care of her siblings and eventually her mother. Her powers manifested themselves when she was young, and she didn't really make much of them, but her parents, neither afraid nor completely sure what was going on, told her it was a gift she needed to learn to control - for herself and for the safety of those around her. And this was true. At the age of six she could walk into a room and stuff would start floating around, or when she was angry someone would be glued to the floor in pain. As the years went by she learned to control this - but as the years went by her family started to fall apart.

Aurora's mother died after the youngest child, her father was killed by an Ace of the suits, till this day Aurora doesn't know why, and a child was left to raise more children. She had been taught about the hierarchy, and she had been told one day that she might become a part of it, but she had hated that hierarchy that killed her father and it wasn't her focus at the time. She went through troubles no child should at her age, and had to watch her youngest sister die, being unable to care for an illness she got properly. Till this day, she blames herself. As she got older she became part of the hierarchy, one of which she was never fond of. The ace of her suit was someone she completely detested, as she believes she's a horrible human being, while she is protective of her own, she doesn't agree with how they look at things. She is often the person to start arguments amongst them because of this and would be the first person, not to listen to anything she's told.

Aurora Mae Laurn

The world was in fact a cruel place, or it had become one. The strong would believe they had the right to control the weak, and the weak would hate them for it. The unfortunate souls who dared have their own opinion, were constant targets and always would be. Those who couldn't fend for themselves only got kicked when they were down, and the downward spiral would continue from there, if they continued to live at all. If the roles were switched what would they think? If the weak became strong, and the strong and powerful became weak and powerless. If the next day was never guaranteed. Life could be simple yet it had to be so complicated, there was no middle ground for anyone, or perhaps everyone had to see the world in black and white and not in color. No body wanted to show that sympathy, no body wanted to be that person to say what they were doing or what was going to happen was wrong. The world needed to governed, no the world needed to be ruled. But why did it need to happen in this way? Maybe if one had the life that the others were living before hand, they could understand. Maybe, but it didn't seem likely.

Delicate hands were placed upon the glass, around them, many fingerprints as if having been done many times before. The girl in whom they belonged, slowly pressed her face against it, breathing gently leaving a fogged up area by her lips. Her eyes, full of melancholy, looked down at the street below. People, the unfortunate souls who fought for their lives so she called it, were beneath her. A woman begged for food, another was so bold as to steal some, and this was a daily occurrence. It was painful to watch, and easy to relate to. How could they live so comfortably, when those around them were barely living. It made her sick to her stomach, causing her to walk away from the window. Her white satin dress flow behind her, a dress short enough to be a long shirt. The sleeves were semi transparent and long, ruffed at the bottom, and the bottom of the dress was slightly ruffled itself. The top was tight fitting, the girl's long legs and womanly figure clearly apparent.

Aurora walked through the room, heading to the lower level, or rather something similar to a living area. The spire was a boring place, and she always felt like it was a prison, one in which her thoughts were rarely heard by superiors. Fortunately for her, that wasn't relevant, Aurora didn't even listen to the Ace majority of the time. Stubborn and rebellious, if she didn't agree she didn't do it, if she didn't like it she would let you know, and if it wasn't right you were in for a fight. However, Aurora did have a sense of loyalty to her fellow spades, she thought of them as family. A messed up family, however her thoughts on the ace varied from the others. Aurora's bare feet finally made their way to the bottom of the stairs, around her, she saw several people in the living area. One of them a fellow spade. "Hello everyone." she said politely, smiling. While she didn't like the view on things most had, they were people, not neccessarily bad people, so they should be treated with respect.

The Ace of Spades looked out on the vast city, and beyond into the relative drabness known as the Cove. She sipped the red wine she held in her hand as her hazel eyes scanned the cityscape. Eyes never leaving the scene outdoors, Pandora raised the cigarette to her lips and inhaled. As she exhaled, she felt, rather than heard, a small beating. The unmistakable rhythm of a pulse. She froze, the cigarette halfway from her mouth. A rat's pulse. She recognized it from her childhood, when she'd practice using her abilities on pests that ran about. Pandora's head swiveled in the direction of the pulse. Sure enough, there was a rat scuttling about near the corner. She turned back to the window, and brought her cigarette back to her lips. A squeal. A spatter. She didn't need to look to know that the corner was painted with the creature's blood.

Taking a small device from her pocket, Pandora pressed the button and spoke. "Vincent. Come here," she said primly and put the small device away. Minutes later, a knock on the door. "Enter," she called. In walked a sheepish looking young man. He looked on edge, as he should.

"Vincent, what is that," she said, motioning to the rat carcass in the corner. She heard a muffled "Mother of God!" from the young man. She cleared her throat and turned to the door. "I want you and this mess gone by the time I return." She didn't bother giving him a time frame; he'd get it done all the faster.

Leaving her glass on the counter and putting out her cigarette in the ashtray by the door, Pandora left her room and began descending down to a lower level, where the general living area resided. As she descended, she heard the familiar voice of the Jack of Spades, Aurora, greet the other three Hierarchy members. Pandora maneuvered around her and stood by the wall next to the stairs. She rubbed her temple, bothered by the incident upstairs, and greeted the four herself. "Good morning, all."

Lawrence looked up from Rose at the sound of a loud crashing noise. Looks like big man is at it again.. He thought to himself, expecting him to burst into the living area at any moment. Of course, he was correct. Ogar ran into the living area shouting about how they all loved him. He kept his usual smile as he picked his elbows up off the back of the couch and gave a friendly wave. "Of course we do Ogar." He said. "But you know, paying for repairs on the walls all the time can get a bit boring and don't you pity the ones who need to fix it even a little bit?" He said in a friendly manner as a tall woman with short hair also entered the room, greeting them with a 'good morning'. He hadn't really had the chance to talk to her very often so he didn't remember her name, but he did know she was part of the Spades. "Good morning." He said, his voice ever so pleasant.

He had came down here to quench the boredom he had from sitting in the library for hours, but wasn't finding much luck. Still, it was better than nothing. After all, things good eventually get interesting. He felt his stomach make a small croaking noise and realized he hadn't had any breakfast yet. Aw..but the kitchen is so far awaayyy... He thought to himself, although the kitchen really wasn't that far from the living area. The walk down here had been enough for him and he felt like going back to his room and falling asleep. Perhaps a cup of coffee would fix that. He had planned to have some in the library but forgot after getting too comfortable lying on the cushion before.

As he pondered through his thoughts on whether or not he should go to the kitchen anyway, he heard a familiar voice greeting the four of them. He let out a small chuckle. "Well, if it isn't the Ace of Spades herself. You look a little irritated? Did something happen this morning? Perhaps you found out those new underwear you recently bought were too small for you after all?" He joked with a cheerful voice. Happy to finally have something to entertain him with.

There was a small thunk resounding within a sealed off room. Two figures were each running against each other, back and forth, the thunk always there. Sweat glistened off of each one's forehead and arms, and each held something in their hands. Kintry laughed cheerfully, swatting at the tennis ball again. "Oh come now, it isn't as much fun if you don't try! How am I ever supposed to get better if you don't get better!?" The girl crossed her arms after swinging once more, a playful pout along her lips.

The other person just remained silent, continuing to hit the ball back to Kintry herself. With one final swoop, the Ace struck the ball down, having it hit the ground before the other could dive and make a save. "Good game." She smirked, and then walked over to the other person, her arms behind her head. The fem's hand reached out, and the other person disappeared.

"Hmm, shower, and then lets go see what's up downstairs!" She raced to the shower, meanwhile, something was clicking and scraping against the floors as the figure ran along. She soon came to the bathroom, a bright smile on her face. The girl then stepped in, turning the shower faucet to the left. Kintry's entire form then shifted into that of a mouse, and the water hit her very gently. She then began to clean herself with her fur, only taking about a minute before returning back to normal and turning the faucet off. She replaced her clothing, then jumped out of the room, racing towards the stairs. She smirked, that same girl reappearing. "Race ya to the next floor!" And then the two raced downwards.

"I win!" She announced laughingly, knowingly. The form disappeared for the last time, and she stepped off of the steps. The blue-eyed girl glanced about herself before walking at a brisk pace towards one of the doors, taking in the sounds of the others. Not to mention the wreckage from her dear king of clubs. She smiled brightly with a small chuckle, entering into the room.

"But you know, paying for repairs on the walls all the time can get a bit boring and don't you pity the ones who need to fix it even a little bit?" Ogar was greeted by the ace of hearts.

Ogar lightly chuckled at the question as he sauntered past him. "Of course not." He answered, demonstrating once more that he has no grasp on the concept of an indoor voice. "If it wasn't for me, they wouldn't have jobs. Ogar's boosting the economy!"

Ogar moved to a couch on the far wall, and fell onto it, causing the couch to sink. He chuckled some more as he kicked out his feet and laid back in the sofa. He had no idea how exhausted he had been.

Ogar's good mood persisted, even as more and more of the Hierarchy entered the room. As each one entered and greeted the inhabitants of the room, Ogar returned their greetings with one of his own. "Ogar is pleased to see you!"

At last, the Ace of Clubs had entered, and Ogar altered his greeting. "Kintry! Ogar's especially pleased to see you!" He said, still maintaining his cocky grin. Ogar had a special kinship with fellow clubs, as he assumed most everybody had. "Come sit by Ogar!" Ogar knew that this being an Ace, she was technically Ogar's superior, but Ogar refused to acknowledge this and insisted on treating her as an equal.
