Ellen Rhodes

"I'll show those people... how it feels to be murdered inside."

Description

Picture: Image
Image
Name: Ellen Rhodes
Age: 20 years old
Gender: Female
Eye color: A bit dark red
Hair color: A bit less dark than her eyes, but red, and not pink, as confused with at least once.
Height: 5'7"
Weight: about 132 Ibs
Appearance: Most of the time, while doing her job, she wears a scarlet dress with a bow, and a cape which is generally to show her superiority over the other Humans which aren't suit. In fights, she wears a dark-red armor-like shirt on top of those. Her weapon is a blade gun, which works as a long-range weapon and a short-range weapon as one. She sheaths it like a sword on her back, making it look like a sword.
Personality: Ellen is usually a kind person, one who is easy to be liked being around (even when not using her powers). However, when dealing with normal Humans (non-suits), she appears to change a bit, and becomes a bit cold. She is quite self-centered... ... in her default mind anyway, wanting to show her superiority over non-suits, especially some specific non-suits. She doesn't like to force her opinion on anyone, as she has that kind of power as her ability. She doesn't see suits outside of the Hierarchy a threat, until they come to oppose the Hierarchy willingly.
She likes strawberries, polite people, and having friends even in the Hierarchy (to make up for the former friends she had in school, which she now hates) , but dislikes being stressed out by another person, stubborn people, and non-suits of course.
Suit: Queen of Hearts
Power: Ellen has the ability to mind-control anyone whom she knows in face, and is in a reasonable distance from her. That also includes her own mind, for a change from the usual mind-control, and can be used in ways like commanding herself to go all-out in combat, give her best in training, study well, and things like that. She could also hypnotize someone into thinking that he's dead from a distance, and then kill him for real, or even worse - making him fight his allies thinking that they are his enemies. Those were the uses of the ability she was able to figure out until now.
Bio: Until she was 15, Ellen Rhodes was a normal human, not even knowing of her strange power she was given. She had friends like a normal human, she went to a normal school, all was normal for her. However, that ended when her ability woke up from its slumber. Everyone started to dislike her, or act cold while around her. Once, she decided to use her power to make one of her once-friends talk, only to discover that she was actually a hated suit among humans. That was when she decided to move to the Hierarchy. That time, she didn't have full control over her power, and every screwup would lead to more trouble. In the Hierarchy, she was giving her best, with the ability's help or without it, to become stronger and to succeed as a suit. So happened that with time, she ranked herself up the ladder, until she became a Jack at the age of 19, having mastered her ability about that time. From that time, she started wearing the cape. She disliked non-suits as much as they disliked her, however the former queen of hearts was almost the same mind with the deceased human founders of the Heirarchy, so she decided to murder her. Telepathy had nothing against control over the mind of both sides, even though the former queen could see it coming. 'Get it into your head - Those humans will never like us, so there is NO reason why we should like them. I'm not forcing you, as it's too late for you. I'll show those people... how it feels to be murdered inside.' .

It was morning in the Spire. Ellen was still in bed, dreaming lucidly as she wanted. What she dreamed of she wouldn't tell anyone when she gets up... but it was a nice dream... for her. What the queen of hearts didn't notice, was that she was oversleeping. That day might have been special for her, as she normally wouldn't have such a deep sleep regularly. It must have been a good dream. When she woke up, it was a complete surprise for her, especially when she saw the time. "W-What the hell?! How did I sleep like that?!" She said out loud from surprise, quickly getting out of her bed, and switching to her normal attire of the day. At least she thought no one could hear her saying that. While her dream was probably her 'best ever' , that day was absolutely not.

'Well, in hope that today won't continue that way...' Ellen thought, took a deep breath to adjust to her personality everyone knows, and opened the door to her room after checking all is fine about her appearance. She took the stairs too, feeling the 'suit kind of magic' in the air as usual as she walked. Ellen got used to seeing that kind of power at work, but it was still better than the 'false' first 15 years of her life, or so she thought. When she got into close to the end of the staircase, she saw that some blond girl was eavesdropping on the room. Being the kind person she was, she didn't 'turn her in for excecution' , but instead let her notice her first, and turn her face to whoever was coming. Should the girl run away, she wouldn't chase her; However should she choose to pull the gun and aim at her, Ellen will command her to put it away and get out without it. So was the queen of hearts everyone knew - a kind and calm queen. Ellen kept smiling at the sight calmly, and with her arms crossed though. 'Maybe this day isn't so bad after all...' She thought to herself.

Not a whole lot was said before the term 'eavesdropper' came within earshot. "Oh no... I knew this was a bad idea", Gwen thought to herself. "Maybe since I didn't hear much, it'll be alright if I leave now... I don't want to get in trouble," she kept thinking as she came up from her crouch slowly. She started back away carefully, trying not to bring any attention to herself. Once she thought she was safe, the blonde one turned around to start heading back and try to get back home. It was in fact a very long day. However, her green eyes had suddenly saw a woman dressed in what looked like deep crimson as well as a cape. The surprise of this person had given her a 'deer in the headlights' look, so to speak. Her legs were stuck in one place for a long time, not sure of what to do.

"I-I'm sorry. I wasn't sure what I was doing," she blurted out quickly and quietly. As she said that, Gwen had quickly tried to pass the woman to just get on with her life and pretend this never happened. Unfortunately, the worst thing happened. She tripped on the flowing fabric that the woman was wearing and just as quickly hit the ground. The lanky girl was mortified. Of course she was notoriously clumsy, but this was a terrible time to have happen. She had no idea what her power or status was, Gwen just wanted to get the hell out of this horrible situation. "I'm so sorry," was all she could think of to say. The blond was very sincere and was just scared out of her mind. She quickly got up and attempted to speed walk away from the area and hope no one else see and hopefully have the redheaded one to just have a good sense of humor and forget about this.

The redhead didn't really have a 'good' sense of humor right in the morning, but she was sure amused at what was going on. The blond turned out to be rather clumsy, and in the cute way, at least from Ellen's perspective. The crimson-colored queen had to hold herself from laughing while she saw what the poor eavesdropper was doing in front of her. All that was funny, however, something bothered Ellen just a bit. 'Do I really look that scary...?' She thought to herself, which was true enough. She didn't want to become scary at all; She didn't want to scare the life out of people, and let people be afraid of her like god. She wanted people to see her as a person of composure and royalty, but she never wanted to be seen as scary. At the end, the only thing which the redhead say before that eavesdropper went away, and calmly at that, was: "Be careful not to get yourself into things like this." .

After that little incident, the door to the living room was open, from everyone rushing to catch the eavesdropper the queen of hearts just sent away... with an advice. Ellen entered the room, prepared for the worst. Oversleeping wasn't a habit to take at all, and she would probably get scolded by the rest of the faces and maybe the aces who were there. "I apologize for being late. I see you were having a meeting, talking about reports and sending people... Can someone inform me of what were you discussing...?" The queen asked. She was greatly embarassed, for not only she overselpt that morning, she also missed a meeting, where subjects were being discussed over.

Lawrence laughed at the harmless bickering of the others in the room. It was rather interesting to see Kintry and Meira fight over the muffin. In the end, Meira came out as the champion. She is quite the stubborn girl. He thought to himself as he stood there with his elbows resting on the back of the couch and his usual smiling expression/ He found it even more interesting to watch Kintry rub against Jace's ankles like she really was just a kitten. It would figure she'd be the first to act so friendly towards the Ace of Diamonds. Soon the bustling settled down after Jace covered the area where supposedly their eavesdropper was peeking through and began to speaking, Lawrence making a little half-chuckle as Jace told him that he proffered his real name over Ice Man.

"As I was saying, our wonderful neighbors residing at the Cove are beginning to get a little rowdy and it would be unbecoming of us to ignore the crimes that are plaguing the wonderful citizens of the Hierarchy. I suggest a course of action to keep the residents of the Cove under control. Since we all have a say in how things work, I would like everyone's input on how to handle such a situation. And no Ogar, I will not let you run around the Cove, destroying everything that happens upon your rampant path."

Another half-chuckle after hearing the comment about Ogar. He stayed silent as a few others added in their opinions on what they should do about the Cove being rowdy. It wasn't really a new situation. This happened often but he never expected Jace to actually car what was going on. After hearing Kintry's idea about the watcher he straightened up, placing one of his hands in his pajama pants pocket and slightly raising the other in he air. "I'll do it. Sounds like fun and besides it would be easy for me to get close and check it out. All I gotta do is change my appearance and I can do that easily with an illusion." He said, shrugging. "Course that's up to all you guys." He said with a friendly smile as he looked at Jace, though directed the offer towards everyone else in the room. Then he noticed the Queen of Hearts enter the room, looking like she was sorry for being late. "Oh, good morning Ellen." he said to the fellow Heart. "We were just discussing the recent happenings at the Cove is all. Did you sleep well?" he asked politely, figuring she had overslept.

"But Ogar likes destroying." Ogar moped. "If Ogar can't destroy, how about a public execution? We set an example for all the people to follow by killing any random person we find. Then after the person's dead, we say 'Don't let it happen again.' That'll teach them."

The next thing he knew, a black kitten with flames jumped into his lap. "Awww. That's the cutest and coolest thing ever." Kintry began complaining about food. "They've got breakfast in the kitchen. If you want, I can smash down another wall and get you there."

Shortly after, the Queen of Hearts entered after having overslept. It didn't bother Ogar, such as the eavesdropper outside didn't bother him. As much as he didn't care about obeying a bunch of rules and instead doing whatever pleases him, he believed everyone else should have that right. If someone wanted to eavesdrop, let them eavesdrop. If someone wanted to sleep in til whatever, let them. It's just silly to obsess over trying to please everyone else.

Ellen had a clue what was being talked about, but since she wasn't in the meeting directly when the problem was being adressed, she was half in the subject. It was better than nothing, still. About her suit's ace, well, he knew her just like any mind-reader would, even though it wasn't his ability at all. Such was the Ace of Hearts, 'an amazing fellow', or so she thought of him. Even though oversleeping was not really a habit of hers... yet, Lawrence the Ace quickly placed the mark on it by asking 'Did you sleep well?'. "Oh, I slept well... good morning to you too." Responded Ellen, following by "You know, I met our little eavesdropper. Given by the look on her face and all the apologies when she saw me, she probably just took the wrong turn." , with a shrug and a little smile on her face. "I'll remember her face just in case she decides to return." She concluded the eavesdropper incident with that, having seen the eavesdropper herself.

As she saw the living room, it was just another day... with Ogar eager to destroy anything even if it was the whole spire, Kintry shapeshifting into whichever form she wanted, Lawrence seeming the most normal person there... as normal as a suit and ace can be. It was another morning. "The cove... well, I would suggest first to identify who is causing the problems, and then think what to do with the troublemakers. We can give the troublemakers the honor to be Ogar's playmates. What do you say?" The queen of hearts stated her opinion, without even knowing what exactly is the trouble. She came from a line of thought which said that 'If something isn't allright within the Hierarchy, there must be some kind of problem, and someone causing it'.

Lawrence let out a sigh as Meira began to go on about the reason she was a 10. In a way he agreed with her, though he still wasn't very fond of her sarcastic tone. They hadn't always been so high up. Once they were all just simple little numbers as well. He didn't know about the other aces, but it had been more work than he bargained for to get into such a high rank. He would've stayed a jack if he hadn't been the first on the list to take over after the last Ace of Hearts died. It hadn't really been his intention but he took the offer anyway, seeing it as a free ticket to have the choice to do whatever he wanted. We were all numbers too at a time. He thought to himself, though didn't say anything out loud as he lifted his cup and let the soggy sugar and the last bit of coffee slip into his mouth, moving the sugar around on his tongue for a moment before swallowing it.

He let out a sigh and watched the girl vanish from the room after passing around what seemed like a few insults. "Geeze, she sure makes me feel like an old man. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." He mumbled then smiled as he turned his attention back to the other suits in the room. "Then again, apart from The Hulk and Cat Woman, you all look pretty grumpy today." He joked. The empty coffee cup floated away from his hand and he gently let it glide across to the room and placed it on the coffee table in front of the couch in the center of the room. "So, how bout we get this meeting over with." He said, then let his eyes focus on Jace. "What is it exactly that's got you all worked up huh?" he asked, his smile still on his face but his light green eyes were clearly serious.
