Jace Beleren

"I'm not powerful. You're just weak."

0 · 224 views · located in Present Day Earth

a character in “Stacked Deck”, originally authored by SkyeBreaker, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Picture: Image

Name: Jace Beleren

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Hair: Blue with silver streaks at the roots.

Eyes: Piercing, ice blue eyes that glow when his powers are being used.

Height: 6'3"

Weight: 150lbs

Appearance: Jace always wears a black body suit underneath all of his clothes. With light plates attached, the body suit provides minimal protection but allows for great mobility. Over the bodysuit, is a long sleeved top with runes etched into it and heavy pants. He wears heavy gloves that cover the diamond scar on the back of his hands. He rarely goes without his cape and hood, which provide an air of mystery to him. Heavy boots finish the appearance. Otherwise, anything underneath the clothes is unknown.

Position: Ace of Diamonds.

Powers: A prodigy at a young age, Jace mastered the art of hydrokinesis at the age of 13. He was admitted into the suit of diamonds a year later. As he fought and went up the ranks from the two of diamonds, once he was the ten of diamonds he learned the art of cryokinesis due to its similarities to hydrokinesis. He learned and mastered the art from the Ace of Diamonds at that time. Learning faster than his master expected, Jace fought and killed his master and as such became the new Ace of Diamonds at the age of 21. Not much is known of Jace's powers due to his secrecy. No one within or outside his Suit knows if he has mastered any other powers.

Personality: With a cold demeanor, Jace is highly respected by his Suit and his peers. Everyone knows of his rise to power so they don't cross him. Jace is a big fan of secrecy and confidentiality so any missions his Suit performs is usually unknown by the others. With that much secrecy within a faction, it seems that the Diamonds may be hiding something very important from the others.

Bio: Jace is intelligent beyond compare and he knows it. He isn't egotistical but can be condescending to those he disapproves. He expects everyone to try to the limits of their abilities and anything less is rarely tolerated. Jace grew up alone as an orphan and no siblings and as such is a very independent leader and fighter. He was trained only in martial arts and is competent in sword fighting but chooses to fight hand to hand or at a distance with his powers.

So begins...

Jace Beleren

The room was freezing. It was exactly 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Like everything else in his life, Jace liked to keep things perfect and the same way every time. He took in a breath and let it out slowly. As he did, the huge blocks of ice around him shifted a few feet away from him. Meditation was a ritual the he made sure to practice everyday no matter the circumstance. But before long, the incessant buzzing of the intercom ruined his concentration and the blocks of ice cracked with a resounding boom that echoed throughout the room.

"What?" he said.

"Your agent is here," replied the voice on the other line. Jace had sent out a probe a few weeks ago to the Cove. He knew the outsider population there was getting bigger with every passing month and with a bigger outside population meant a bigger chance for rebellion. At the rate of his own plans, Jace knew that the last thing he needed was a rebellion on his hands when stage one for the domination of the human race went into effect.

"Fine. I'll be out in a minute." he replied coldly. He relaxed his mind and his muscles as the room gradually warmed up from the heaters. He walked out into the main living area. With a wave of his hand, Jace dried his clothes. Pressing a button on the main wall console the door opened up and he let the agent in.

"Start talking."

Jace Beleren

After half an hour of conversing with his agent, Jace learned that some of the residents in the Cove were getting restless. There seemed to be more crime in the main city as the "Outsiders" were ransacking stores and stealing from SUITs that worked hard for their goods. It seemed that rebellion was becoming an inevitable event and Jace decided to postpone plans to instigate reasons for nearby countries to attack the Hierarchy. He knew that with rebellion building up that he needed to get the entire Hierarchy's forces in order. Once the agent left, Jace takes his cape and dons his hood and begins walking towards the living area that he knew many faces liked to gather during down time in the Spire. As he walked down the staircase, Jace began thinking of different ways to try and crush rebellion before it could begin.

"A large patrol platoon could easily arrest anybody they meet in the Cove. We could either execute the hooligans or keep them contained in a facility. For any rebels who may pose an actual threat we could simply keep assassin squads in reserve to take these targets out. But the act of rebellion itself would cause the movement to gain followers quickly. There must be some way to eliminate the threat without the people becoming aware. I can leave the Kings and Queens for that. Surely, they can't be totally devoid of strategy."

With his thought done, he realized he had reached his destination, though the opening to the living area seemed to be in a different place than what he remembered. Looking down at his feet he saw dust and chunks of wall lying about and deduced that Ogar had come by this area. Walking through the rough opening Jace spoke in a clear and cold manner, interrupting any conversation that was happening.

"It seems that everyone here is enjoying themselves during their down time." he paused for a moment as the room dropped several degrees in temperature upon his entrance. "I'd like to talk to everyone about something that would seem to encompass us all." Jace took the opportunity of his sudden entrance to look at each individual in the eyes with his own from under his hood. As he looked at every person he stopped and made sure his eyes gave off a piercing cold aura as well as a smidgen of respect, thanking each person silently for their years of service to the Hierarchy.

Ogar chuckled as the Ace of Clubs sat in his lap. He really enjoyed their time together. Kintry was the type of person he could really relate to. While the other members of the Hierachy tended to be glum and serious all the time, Kintry knew how to kick back and have a great time. He was convinced that the clubs were the 'fun' suit. While every one seemed to concern themselves with rebellions and hostile take overs, Ogar would rather abuse his power as king as much as he can. He had no fears that anyone would attempt to overthrow him, he'd squash anybody who tried. And if eliminating the human race was what everyone wanted, he'd mow them over in his sleep. In the mean time, he didn't want to burden his mind with such trivial matters. It was party time all the time.

"Anything new Ogar-kiva? You know, if you want, we could have a contest later to see who can break the most walls." Kintry asked him.

"Brilliant idea!" Ogar shouted, much louder than usual. "You have the best ideas."

But it seemed like it would have to wait as the conversation shifted elsewhere.

"I for one think we should get more windows. Windows are good, right Ogar-kiva?"

"Ogar prefers walls." Ogar answered. "Windows are no challenge for Ogar. They shatter very easily. But if you want windows, I can make you windows. Just tell me where and I'll bring down the wall...Then tell someone else to put in a window."

Ogar laughed at this, though he had no idea why. Perhaps it was the company putting him in a giggly mood. But his mood was quickly dampened as Rose began to speak down to a 10 of spades.

"You should learn how to speak in front of the Suits."

Ogar was enraged, and he showed it as he yelled. "Hey! Don't yell at her! She can speak however she chooses to speak! Ogar says we are all friends here."

The next thing Ogar knew, things got very cold. Ogar knew exactly what that meant. "It seems that everyone here is enjoying themselves during their down time." Ogar turned to see Jace. His temper suddenly became very somber. Even Ogar knew to behave himself around this particular Ace. He was even slightly afraid. "I'd like to talk to everyone about something that would seem to encompass us all." As Ogar looked at Jace, he could see Jace turning to face every individual in the room. When Jace's eyes came to him, Ogar nodded ever so slightly, to indicate that he had his full and undivided attention.

Pandora felt the chill and the new pulse before she saw the person. She looked up and saw Jace, the ever-somber Ace of Diamonds. He looked tense, as if there were something urgent that had come up. His words proved her correct.

"It seems that everyone here is enjoying themselves during their down time." He paused here."I'd like to talk to everyone about something that would seem to encompass us all."

Pandora met his gaze evenly and crossed her arms, adopting her usual pose when there was an important matter, especially one concerning the Hierarchy and its integrity, that had surfaced. She blinked her hazel eyes once, then raised an eyebrow, eyes and ears tuned to him, anticipating his announcement. Pandora allowed herself the luxury of curiosity. She wondered what could be so urgent, and how it affected the Hierarchy.

Lawrence gave a small wave back at Kintry as she entered and waved to him, then she went over and plopped into Ogars lap. He laughed silently to himself. He always thought Kintry had one of the most interesting personalities out of all the people that lived in the Spire. It was much easier to stay entertained when she was around and she never failed to get rid of his boredom. Not too long after Kintry entered the King of Spades came strolling in and leaned himself against the wall, engadging in a friendly conversation with Kintry about where he was leaning. Just then he heard the familiar voice of the 10 of spades as she entered the room, showing off her ability a little before taking a seat and bursting out that she was bored.

Unexpectedly Rose stood up and calmly, but clearly with an irritated pinch to her voice, told the girl to learn how to speak around the suits. He felt a tinge of pity for the 10 of spades, but then again he couldn't help but wonder if the girl would argue back. Of course, Ogar instantly spoke up in his loud, dinosaur voice telling the Queen of Spades to let her speak however she wants. Though, he did understand a little at why Rose made a comment. Her and the girl were both spades and Rose was superior to Meira by far.

Then suddenly the room when silent and the temperature dropped slightly. And he makes his grand entrance.. He thought to himself, his smile fading a little but not vanishing completely.

"I'd like to talk to everyone about something that would seem to encompass us all."

As Jace's eyes passed over his own, his smile went flat. Whatever it was he wanted to talk about wasn't going to be pointless, but he didn't feel like sitting around listening to the mans flat voice. He reached up and gently nudged his glasses back up against his face with his index finger, then let out a small yawn. He went back to the position he was in before with his elbows resting on the back of the couch, though this time both his hands were lazily sloped over the cushion. He looked over at Jace, his smile returning as he tilted his head slightly. "What's up Ice man?" He said casually.

While heading to her place she called home, Gwen had realized she had an airhead moment and was actually lost. It took a long time for her to remember how to get to her room, but unfortunately, she took some wrong turns. There were some other SUITs that looked her oddly. It doesn't help the fact that she is wearing a yellow canary sundress and cute flower hairpins to reveal her emerald eyes and porcelain skin, while everyone else tends to wear clothes that were very drab and try to hide themselves with hats or hoods. She could have very easily asked where she was located, but this place intrigued her because she has never really been in the entire place before. This was the first time in a long time that Gwen might get in trouble for something, but that wasn't what she was thinking about at the moment.

She suddenly felt very cold as she got closer down to what seemed to be a place where people are conversing. Her first thought was to run, but then everyone hushed down to listen to someone. The voice gave a dark and, literally, chilling feeling. Gwen's heart began to race as she edged closer to a place where she felt like she shouldn't be. Her thoughts were fighting back and forth between running and moving closer. Eavesdropping is such a terrible thing to do, but her instincts were to listen. Her demeanor turned determined as she moved lower to the ground and crept closer. She made sure not to be seen by anyone at an archway of the room in someway, which made her about a few feet away.

"Keh," Meira spat unconcernedly, not even bothering to look at the Ace as she scolded her. "Do you want your allies to be a bunch of spineless cowards who grovel when you enter the room, or do you want us to have some backbone? Because if it's the first, then I don't give a damn, and if it's the second, then stop naggin' me." As she spoke, she opened up her hand, then manipulated the distance between a nice looking muffin she'd spotted in the kitchen and the palm of her hand, making it zero. Immediately, the muffin appeared, and she chowed down to her heart's content, not really seeming to care that there were other people in the room, if the loud gobbling noises she made were any indication.

Just then, however, the Ace of Diamonds appeared, formal as always. Meira looked up. Normally, the appearance of one of the head honchos of the organization wouldn't really attract much of her attention. However, his words caught her focus immediately.

"Whur ih-ih?" Meira asked, her voice muffled by a bite of chocolate chip muffin. Swallowing, she asked again. "What is it? Is it something to do?"

The light filtered through the large window, falling softly on light blue covers. Under the covers, a figure was peacefully sleeping, the sheets completely covering the figure's face. Every once in a while, a soft sigh would come from under the covers, but there were no other sounds.

Bam, bambam bam bam bam bam... BOOM CRASH.

The figure suddenly sat up, the covers flying off of her face. "What in the.." Flynn growled, "...Ogar." The glint in her eye seemed to bear an almost murderous intent. Suddenly she sighed, her face slowly relaxing as she flopped back, pulling the covers back over her face. She tossed and turned for several minutes, stubbornly trying to fall back asleep, though she knew that it would be impossible now.

Finally, she gave up, violently threw the covers off and stomped across the room. She quickly got dressed in her usual garb, and stomped out of the room, slamming the door behind her. She stomped down to the living room, where she was sure he would be by now. She walked in to see him sitting on a couch, the Ace of Clubs, Kintry, sitting on his lap. She stormed over to them, her face clearly angry.

"Hello, Kintry,"she said, slightly nodding before her full attention and anger were focused on Ogar. "Ogar! Is it so important to do your little "exercises," she said in a low, dangerous voice, "not to mention your obnoxious wall-crashing, so blasted early! You have no consideration for others do you, you over-sized cretin!"

Suddenly, Flynn felt a cold prescence enter the room, which could only be one person. She whirled to see Jace, the Ace of diamonds, come in.

"I'd like to talk to everyone about something that would seem to encompass us all."

She crossed her arms, leaning against the wall as she waited for him to proceed, listening to the other assorted comments in the room.

Kintry smiled, chuckling quietly to herself. She poked Ogar in the leg muscle, watching her own index finger barely make any indention. Her head then shot up as Flynn stormed violently into the room. The fem immediately sat up from her lounging position on her muscle mattress, tilting her head to the side. A small smile flitted across her lips, her eyes closing as she waved to the Queen of her division. The smile soon vanished as she started to yell at her Ogar-kiva. "Now, now, Flynn. You shouldn't yell at him. It's almost noon anyway, you should have been up earlier and taking care of stuff. Though, I can't really blame you. I like sleep too!" Her head bobbed up and down happily, agreeing with her own-self. "But really, don't blame poor Ogar, he can't help himself but to-"

However, Kintry was soon cut off as the temperature in the room dropped visibly, and a huge grin spread across her face as the Ace of Diamonds, Jace, entered. Unlike everyone else in the room, the girl immediately jumped out of Ogar's lap nimbly, running towards the boy full speed while yelling: "JACCEEEE!!!!" A few steps before impact, however, her entire form shifted. Her height and width shrunk visibly, soft, white fur spreading across her body as she turned into that of a skinny white cat. A loud purr erupted from her throat, and she landed right on the guy's shoe before entwining herself between his legs. Her face literally looked like a smile, even in feline form.

Her tail was erect and the tip twitching ever so slightly as she made a figure eight between his legs before pausing. And then she sunk her teeth straight into his leg. Softly, of course. It was a love bite: how most felines show their affection. She then jumped away from him before he tried to impale her with ice or something, shifting back and plopping back on her haunches, smiling up at him, a smirk entwining between it. Kintry's head then tilted, and she looked up at him, placing her finger on her lips. "By the way, we have an eavesdropper." She nodded brightly, raising her hand and pointing with her thumb towards the door. "Feline sense of smell, y'know? Thought you might like to know. Flynn dear, you should go get me some food! I'm bloody starvinnggg~" She added an opera-like tone to her last word, but only faintly.

Once again, she shifted into a white house-cat, scurrying over to Meira and springing off her back legs, sailing through the air and snatching the half-eaten muffin right out of her hand, landing once more on the ground, swerving and darting back under Jace, sitting down between his legs and dropping the muffin on her outstretched front paws, digging into her almost-well-earned prize. It was too easy to get, really.

"Sorry, pal, but this is mine!" The teleporter cried as the cat/Ace leaped forward, her intended goal obvious. At the last moment, the Spade kicked off the floor, pushing her chair back and throwing the muffin across the room, toward the open door. As the chair struck the wall, she continued her rather over-the-top reaction by warping distance to bring the chair crashing down from the ceiling, dropping back into its original position from before she had entered in her usual dramatic manner. However, when it re-appeared, she was not sitting in it. Instead, she strode through the door at that very same instant, catching the still-airborne muffin as she did so and gobbling the rest of it up.

"So, what is it? Please tell me it's something fun!"

Jace Beleren

Jace watched as Kintry decided to greet him with in an extremely loud and obnoxious way before she turned into a white cat and played around his legs before biting his leg. He watched as Kintry gracefully leaped into the air in an attempt to steal Meira's breakfast. Meira, deciding to react to the Ace's actions, tosses the muffin across the room before teleporting to retrieve it and finish the rest. As soon as Meira and Kintry finished fighting over the muffin, Jace decided to take action. Lifting his cape to reveal a simple waterskin, he pulls open the cork and, with a wave of his hand, lets the water run out and gather within his palm in the shape of a sphere. With a casual toss over his shoulder and a flick of his fingers, the ball flew towards Ogar's makeshift entrance. Expanding quickly, the ball formed a clear shape to cover the opening. Closing his hand into a fist, the shape froze into ice.

"Now that our room is relatively sealed from any eavesdroppers. Lawrence, I much prefer my name over 'Ice Man.' Glad to see you could join us Edei. Flynn please calm yourself. Meira a little respect please. Kintry, refrain from being so childish. Its unbecoming of an Ace. And Thank you Ogar." He bends over to pick up the white feline by the scruff on her neck from between his legs. "If you want a muffin so bad, Ogar made the kitchen easy access with the holes he so graciously created. But you can get that later once I have left." Jace said, before putting the feline back on the ground.

"As I was saying, our wonderful neighbors residing at the Cove are beginning to get a little rowdy and it would be unbecoming of us to ignore the crimes that are plaguing the wonderful citizens of the Hierarchy. I suggest a course of action to keep the residents of the Cove under control. Since we all have a say in how things work, I would like everyone's input on how to handle such a situation. And no Ogar, I will not let you run around the Cove, destroying everything that happens upon your rampant path."

Seeing the group enjoy the antics provided by Meira and Kintry stirred a long lost feeling within Jace's heart. It took him a few moments to realize what it was but, like the perfection-driven man he was, he knew that emotions could unravel a man's mind and forced the emotion back into the depths.

Kintry immediately returned to her human form, her eyes blazing like fires at Meira. "Please, dear. Yes, show some respect. I'd suggest you get me a new muffin before I tear you limb from limb in a most gruesome way." She looked up at Jace, smiling innocently up at him. "I don't act childish. I need food, you know. Besides, I was just excited to see my Jace-kiva." She smirked up at him, but it was a cute 'I don't mean you any harm, but seriously, give me some food' kind of look. She then glared back at the 10, vicious fangs suddenly growing from her canines before reverting to normal. "By any matter, I'd suggest you watch your hands next time Meira." A vicious gleam rose to her eyes, then she just giggled, trotting back over to Ogar and shifting into a black feline, hopping onto his thigh. Though flames were flickering across the tips of her fur, she made sure not to burn her precious King. "I use many forms, and I can mix and match, but I require food. Jace, not to be rude or anything of the likes, we must make this meeting short and to the point." Her voice was silky and a bit raspy in cat form, but still relatively the same.

"I suggest that we send someone out as a watcher then report back to us. We should be able to find the 'rat's nest' of most thieves. Otherwise, it'll be simple from there. I'd volunteer most graciously, but I'm too hungry to think that far ahead. I agree with Dmitri, however. Our thoughts are mostly similar."

Lawrence laughed at the harmless bickering of the others in the room. It was rather interesting to see Kintry and Meira fight over the muffin. In the end, Meira came out as the champion. She is quite the stubborn girl. He thought to himself as he stood there with his elbows resting on the back of the couch and his usual smiling expression/ He found it even more interesting to watch Kintry rub against Jace's ankles like she really was just a kitten. It would figure she'd be the first to act so friendly towards the Ace of Diamonds. Soon the bustling settled down after Jace covered the area where supposedly their eavesdropper was peeking through and began to speaking, Lawrence making a little half-chuckle as Jace told him that he proffered his real name over Ice Man.

Another half-chuckle after hearing the comment about Ogar. He stayed silent as a few others added in their opinions on what they should do about the Cove being rowdy. It wasn't really a new situation. This happened often but he never expected Jace to actually car what was going on. After hearing Kintry's idea about the watcher he straightened up, placing one of his hands in his pajama pants pocket and slightly raising the other in he air. "I'll do it. Sounds like fun and besides it would be easy for me to get close and check it out. All I gotta do is change my appearance and I can do that easily with an illusion." He said, shrugging. "Course that's up to all you guys." He said with a friendly smile as he looked at Jace, though directed the offer towards everyone else in the room. Then he noticed the Queen of Hearts enter the room, looking like she was sorry for being late. "Oh, good morning Ellen." he said to the fellow Heart. "We were just discussing the recent happenings at the Cove is all. Did you sleep well?" he asked politely, figuring she had overslept.

"But Ogar likes destroying." Ogar moped. "If Ogar can't destroy, how about a public execution? We set an example for all the people to follow by killing any random person we find. Then after the person's dead, we say 'Don't let it happen again.' That'll teach them."

The next thing he knew, a black kitten with flames jumped into his lap. "Awww. That's the cutest and coolest thing ever." Kintry began complaining about food. "They've got breakfast in the kitchen. If you want, I can smash down another wall and get you there."

Shortly after, the Queen of Hearts entered after having overslept. It didn't bother Ogar, such as the eavesdropper outside didn't bother him. As much as he didn't care about obeying a bunch of rules and instead doing whatever pleases him, he believed everyone else should have that right. If someone wanted to eavesdrop, let them eavesdrop. If someone wanted to sleep in til whatever, let them. It's just silly to obsess over trying to please everyone else.

"Meh. Relax, Fluffy. There are more muffins where this one came from," Meira said offhandedly, fishing her free hand out of her pocket where it dwelt habitually and snapping her fingers in a presentatory manner as she finished devouring her own breakfast. Spontaneously, yet another chocolate chip-laden pastry fell from the ceiling, plopping down on the head of the Ace who was trying to threaten the generally fearless and battle hungry 10 in the terrifying form of a housecat. Meira wasn't exactly scared.

"Crimes in the Cove? Huh. The way I see it, it might just be easier if we waited just a little longer. Whatever it is petty thieves have done to piss you big names off, it must have been pretty brazen. If we delay a bit, then they'll think we just don't care. They'll try something even more stupid, and once they're out in the open, we can surround them and beat 'em down. Once their comrades get word that the forces of the Spire trashed their pals, they'll think twice before they do anything else contrary to your interests. That way, you get your criminals dead, Ogar and I get to crack some heads, and everyone is satisfied," The brash 10 proposed, grinning as she once more placed her hands in her pockets, kicking back against the wall in an entirely too carefree manner.

"Besides," Meira added. "A head-to-head battle is much more fun than sneaking and skulking about anyway. Wouldn't you say?"

Lawrence gave a brief nod at Ellen after she told him that she had slept well. He walked around to the side of the couch and, tired of standing, plopped himself onto the floor and crossed his legs. Everyone seemed to be inputting there own ideas and opinions about the situation, but Lawrence himself hadn't really felt like getting too deep into the problem. It wasn't in his best interest as to what did and did not happen at the cove, but he was and Ace all the same, so he didn't have much of a choice but to participate. His smile faded a little as Meira spoke up once again, this time speaking a little out of line. He figured one of the other suits would speak up about her behavior eventually. Technically all this girl was was a mere number and hardly had any right to input her opinion on what the final decision would be about the conflict at hand. Though he didn't really like the comment about thieves pissing of the 'big names', as what she had referred the suits to, but he didn't care all that much about they way she was acting. One of them would get angry at her eventually. Rose had already told Meira to speak properly around them, of course that didn't seem to help much. If anyone was going to scold the 10 of spades it would be either Pandora or Jace, most likely Jace would be the first to become the most irritated, but he wasn't placing bets. Although the girl did have a point about leaving the problem be for now, they couldn't just brush it off and assume those living at the cove would act so stupidly. He wasn't doubting their capability of keeping the rebelliousness under control, but he knew it wasn't safe to assume everyone at the cove was some idiot that doesn't know any better. He leaned his back against the side of the sofa and crossed his arms over his chest as he watched this little conflict unfold.

Lawrece let out a small chuckle and closed his eyes for a moment as he sat there beside the couch. All of this planning and thinking is giving me a headache. He thought to himself, then opened his eyes and looked at the floor in front of him. This is starting to get boring. I haven't even eaten breakfast yet, not to mention I've been up for hours. Though, I guess that would be my fault. I wonder how serious this business with the cove really is that it got Jace to call a meeting. Still, all of the suits aren't even here and we have a little 10 in the room with us. Lawrence let out a sigh and picked himself up off the floor. Sticking his right hand in his pajama pants pocket, he gave a small wave to Jace. "This i interesting and all..but I personally don't find it all that important for me to be here if I don't really care." He said with a smile, then turned and made his way back into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, he opened up the cupboard and pulled out a coffee cup, thankful someone had already gotten the coffee machine running. He poured himself a glass then, taking out a bag of sugar from the refrigerator, began to scoop some of the sweet powder into his cup. After scooping out the sugar multiple times and adding about nine scoops into his cup, he put the bag back in the refrigerator and twirled the black liquid around in his cup using his telekinesis. Honestly, to go this far because of a little rebelliousness in the cove, I don't get it. He thought to himself, taking a sip of the overly-sweet coffee, then coming back out into the living room and leaning his back against the wall closest to the kitchen. If Jace has some better reason to do something about the cove, he might as well spit it out already. Otherwise there is absolutely no point in me being here. I wouldn't mind going out for a bit. The library here is nice and all but I prefer antique stores. He took another drink of his coffee, listening as Rose finally main her input.

"I agree with Rose myself." he said, looking up from his cup. "We might as well not go about making a big deal out of it unless it's actually necessary. That will only anger the people in the cove more. Wouldn't you think taking a more resolved approach would be better? Going around using force all the time will just make us look reckless." His usual faint smile turned into a considerate, half smile and he slightly raised his eyebrow. "Also, as much fun as it is to toy with a few annoying minds now and then, today I just don't feel like breaking any bones, ya' know?" He said, taking another drink of his coffee, then frowning as he looked down into the cup to see that it was almost empty and the sugar that hadn't dissolved was piled at the bottom of the cup. Crap...I really don't want to walk all the way back into the kitchen and poor another one. This sucks..

Lawrence let out a sigh as Meira began to go on about the reason she was a 10. In a way he agreed with her, though he still wasn't very fond of her sarcastic tone. They hadn't always been so high up. Once they were all just simple little numbers as well. He didn't know about the other aces, but it had been more work than he bargained for to get into such a high rank. He would've stayed a jack if he hadn't been the first on the list to take over after the last Ace of Hearts died. It hadn't really been his intention but he took the offer anyway, seeing it as a free ticket to have the choice to do whatever he wanted. We were all numbers too at a time. He thought to himself, though didn't say anything out loud as he lifted his cup and let the soggy sugar and the last bit of coffee slip into his mouth, moving the sugar around on his tongue for a moment before swallowing it.

He let out a sigh and watched the girl vanish from the room after passing around what seemed like a few insults. "Geeze, she sure makes me feel like an old man. Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." He mumbled then smiled as he turned his attention back to the other suits in the room. "Then again, apart from The Hulk and Cat Woman, you all look pretty grumpy today." He joked. The empty coffee cup floated away from his hand and he gently let it glide across to the room and placed it on the coffee table in front of the couch in the center of the room. "So, how bout we get this meeting over with." He said, then let his eyes focus on Jace. "What is it exactly that's got you all worked up huh?" he asked, his smile still on his face but his light green eyes were clearly serious.

Kintry's lips upturned in a very bright and cheerful smirk as the ten left. "Geeze, finally." She then turned to Jace, a pleading look in her eyes. "Can I pleaaaaseee kill her, pretty please Jace?" She then turned back to Ogar as he began to speak, her head nodding ever so softly. She then patted him reassuringly, that same cheerful smile on her face. "Ah, I agree with you Ogar, however, like as mentioned, there are some tactical errors. However! I'm sure it'll be easy to find you some smashing to do in any case!!" She giggled warmly, her whole demeanor screaming 'innocent yet devilishly sadistic child'. The girl tilted her head, her hair falling off of her shoulders and drifting lazily down, hanging in the air. She then shrugged, turning to Rose.

"Rose-Kiva, I'm sure that with the combined forces of the upper hierarchy, it would be so simple to wipe them all out! Please don't underestimate the power of the Aces!" The girl was obviously playful, having absolutely no crossness whatsoever. "I mean, I'd need a whole BLOODY lot of food, but still!" Kintry spread her arms out wide as she emphasized 'lot', her head tilting back for the same reason. She then shrugged, giggling ever so softly. She smiled at Dmitri, but a smirk soon entwined on her lips as well. She quickly got up, settled back on the couch and having discarded her now-empty marshmallow bag, she turned into an owl, swept down over to him and plucked his hat right off of his head by the rim and dip in the design. Landing a couple feet away from him, the girl returned back to normal, placing the hat on her own head with a sweet and all-too-innocent smile. She then flashed him a wink, sticking out her tongue. Her features practically screamed 'if you want your hat back, you'll have to come get it~'. Just for good measure, the Ace placed one hand on the top, making sure he couldn't just use telekinesis to grab it off. That was cheating.
