When group that had a dispute with Obsidian entered, and when conflict broke out ā No need for lightsabers wasā¦as Ashara said, though they tried to use such elegant weapon, meant for a far different times and surely not fitting for a club.
She took on one with bare hands, one that almost went down easily ā with an elbow landing at his back of the head. Sadly he managed to stand, and he had to take out lightsaber, just like the one that Cruze fought with. Force made a short work of his lightsaber, sliding it out of his handsā¦and dismantling.
Then she force choked him lightly, and muttered.
āIām so not in the mood for killing today, youāre lucky.ā Is what Sith heard before losing consciousness, his body slumped onto the ground.
āSweet dreams, and letās hope we wonāt meet againā¦ā
Later Phora listened to what Obsidian and Ashara had to say, that she let him go off hook so easily surprised herā¦in a good way.
āArenāt you generous todayā¦ā She had to mutter.
OOC - Cruze you forgot about yourself in post ^^.
āActually Jaleeā¦I am old.ā She grinned.
Koren was not like the other hard nosed, stuck ups in the order and respected other beings regardless of race. He didn't know why Jalee didn't like him, but he would not respond aggressively with her unless necessary. She would either warm to him in time or she wouldn't. Koren would only get aggressive with her if she crossed a line with him. Ashara quickly brought them to order, explained her plan and moved them on to their destination. The lower levels were the unlawful side of the Corucant most people never say or even thought about. If crime was the most rampant anywhere it was here, right under the noses of the Jedi and Senate. Koren despised what went on down here but there was not much he could do about it for now. That said he had his own secret base of operations down here, built off the books with his own funds and located on level 47. Besides his residence at Republica 500, FOB 47 was just a place for Koren to practice his experiments away from the eyes of his peers.
He took great lengths to hide it from everyone but his inner circle. It was created as safe house in case things with Ashara went too far to be redeemed and Koren needed to go into hiding for any reason. Funny enough, Koren had established an operations outpost for their order just twenty levels above as a cover for his. Mostly it was used to test new droids in secrete was the cover reason for it's existence.
Upon their arrival it didn't take long to find The Cave and Master Obsidian, whom had been waiting for them. Koren had never had any trouble with master Obsidian, in fact the two worked quite nicely, when he wasn't drunk off his behind. Koren did have to admit for someone drunk his use of the force to sober himself up was impressive. Koren listened to Ashara give Obsidian a firm lecture on the state of his life and his apprentice.
āAshara does have a point master Obsidian. As a fellow college and a friend I am concerned with your mental and physical health. As you know I help train the apprentices of other masters, yours is among them and he has expressed concern for you. I would be remiss as his teacher and your friend if I didn't come to help you.ā Koren said. āI would be willing to aid you in your recovery if you would be willing to try. Sometimes the journey to recovery is best walked with a companion by your side.ā he added. But before he could recover men in black robes came marching in demanding his head for not paying them back credits he owed. It didn't take long for them to be outed as old sith, one whom Ashara knew very well. Right as he took out his communication device intending to radio in her whereabouts, he couldn't move his fingers. Fear stuck his as he couldn't move. "I had expected you to have gotten stronger." Ashara said. "My friends will take care of your subordinates and I don't think they need lightsabers to accomplish that."
As Cruze, Phora and Jalee went to work Koren stayed by Ashara as two of them moved to attack Ashara, "Only two, how disappointing." Koren said as he used the force to grasp the two men, lifted them up into the air and tossed them out of a door into the back alley of the building where no one would see them, "Even more so. Though perhaps I can get at least a little bit of a challenge out of them." Koren said as he walked calmly after them, taking his two lightsabers and attaching them together. Outside the two sith met him in kind with their sabers drawn and more than eager to run him through. Koren activated his double bladed lightsaber and the battle commenced. Much to his discontentment his opponents were well trained, but hardly at the level Koren desired. So was the case he was holding back and giving them a handicap just to prolong the duel. Koren could have handled them blinded and with his bare fists and still wouldn't have even a quarter of the challenge he was looking for. After an even six minutes of playing with his new friends Koren became board and swiftly disarmed them and used force lightning to render them unconscious.
Looking at them Koren snarled as he deactivated his saber, āHardly a challenge, not even worth the effort.ā He said as he detached the two sabers and replaced them on his belt. A sound behind him caught his attention and Koren turned around to look for it. He felt another force presence, another sith perhaps? Swiftly he closed in on the target whom had trapped themselves at the far end and found not a sith but a girl. She was young, no more than fifteen and covered in dirty rags Koren hesitated to call clothes. It was apparent she was one of the downtrodden whom lived on this level, āWell well, what do we have here?ā He asked. āPlease, please, don't hurt me! ā She cried as she pressed herself into the wall, as if trying to phase through it. āNo, I won't do that. However, since you just saw what happened I can't just let you go can I?ā Koren said as he reached out for her, āNo!ā Suddenly Koren felt himself being thrown back as a blast of raw force knocked him down.
Koren was in shock, he had felt the force in her but he didn't think such a powerful attack would come from one untrained in the force. The blast had only thrown him because he had his guard down but Koren knew from experiencing it she had great potential, āM'Lord!ā A female voice called out as several of his Handmaidens, whom had remained hidden, revealed themselves, weapons drawn and pointed at the girl, āI..I..I'd sorry! Please, it was an accident!ā The girl stuttered in an attempt to avoid further punishment. But Koren only held interest in the girl, it was the first time in a long while since he had take such an interest in a force sensitive. āOh that was no accident little one, not at all.ā Said as he stood and walked slowly towards her. The girl shivered in terror, putting her hands up as if to shield herself from a beating. But Koren just stopped in front of her and used one finger to gentle turn her face towards him, āYou just so happened to be in the right place, at the right time.ā He said before waving her hand across her face.
Her eyes fluttered closed as he used the force to put her to sleep and she collapsed into his arms, āTake her back to the 'residence', accommodate her, but do not let her leave. Perhaps the force has given both of us a second chance.ā He said, āAnd gather up the sith, take them to the lab. They'll prove useful for the 'experiment'.ā Koren said. āAs you command M'lord.ā The handmaidens said as they took the girl and the sith as he went back inside, his mood much lighter than before.
"Now now... I would really want to kill you right now, since you decided to pull your saber out when it was a gentleman's fight." Cruze said as he pushed the man back down with his leg, with the red lightsaber a couple inches from the sith's neck. "But, I don't exactly call the shots." Cruze slid his own saber back into it's holster, but keeping the red one where it was. Cruze looked up at Ashara, waiting to see what she would want him to do. Kill or spare. Cruze preferred to always kill, less competition and there wont be a liability. But occasionally he would be ordered to let people live, to send a message. Plus he knew Koren did experiments on most captives they took.
During all of this, Cruze noticed Koren get pushed back by a wave of force, but noticed it came from a girl and Koren had her taken back, along with the other defeated men. "Don't have too much fun there."
Cruze had fought an enemy and had him at his mercy. He looked at her for guidance as if she was to decide where to let him live or let Cruze kill him. "Do as you see fit. The enemy is at your mercy not mine. If it were up to me, a simple spare or kill is too easy. Killing them quickly relieves them and sparing them does too. Some people you can turn by sparing them, while others will only seek revenge and sparing them causes you further troubles." Ashara said to Cruze.
As he stepping back from standing over the man, Cruze could almost feel as if someone was trying to get a read on him. He quickly brushed it off, either Koren was trying to read his alignment as he did with most other force users, or Ashara was doing roughly the same for personal reasons. Cruze never considered himself balanced, he had hate and anger in him sometimes. He had only let it take control of him once, when the last of his old crew was killed and he went to the front door of the Androsa Corporation.
Cruze pushed rubbed his hand through his hair and sighed. āWell, whatās next? I think I remember mentioning a spy of some sort. Hopefully we can have more fun.ā Cruze said he looked around at the others. "Will Master Obsidian be joining us, or heading back to recover?"
Koren tossed the saber back to Cruze, using the force to give it a boost, āPerhaps if I had earned it, but as they say to the victor go the spoils.ā Koren said just as Cruze noticed his new prospect, āDon't have too much fun there.ā Koren humped, fun for him would have been either spending time in his archives, dueling or joining master Obsidian at one of the clubs just to watch the dancers. With just a dismissal wave to Cruze Koren turned in time to see Ashara looking at him. Through the force he could feel intrigue and something else he couldn't describe. Her eyes looking upon his new prospect his handmaidens were taking away told him exactly the source if her emotions. Koren had been putting off training a new apprentice since his last had betrayed him. Belexus had been his apprentice back when the Grey Knights had been at their peek. But even with his separate philosophy from the New Sith Koren had been unable to keep Belexus from believing they were all no better than true sith.
After the skirmish at Kashyyyk Belexus had vanished from the Order. Koren had informed Ashara that Belexus had been a Jedi spy and after inquiring as to his fate Koren let her know he had taken care of Belexus personally. Oh he was very much alive, that he did not hide from anyone. But as to what Koren had done to him, no one in the order knew. āI take betrayal very harshly Ashara,ā He had told her when she inquired, āHe may no longer be my apprentice but he is still useful in....other aspects. Trust me when I say the less you know the better.ā Koren had said to her.
Considering he conducted test on captured enemies Ashara had heeded his advice and not asked any questions.....yet. If the knowledge of the test he was conducting were made know to the rest of the New Sith, much less any force based organization, quite a lot of people would suddenly be very cautious of him.
Because the things Koren was researching would make him very dangerous if he went down the wrong path.
Ashara knew perfectly that she wasn't a good person, but she wasn't that bad as a Sith either. Many by her age had at least massacred a town before. But she had killed maybe a couple hundred, most during the war with the Jedi and the Old Sith.
Cruze had mentioned the next mission and Ashara said: "Yes, the Jedi spy. I prefer to capture him or her. Killing them is only necessary if they put up too much resistence. Then afterwards we can finally enjoy the night."
Koren got a new apprentice, someone who might be interesting, and surely someone she should avoid for the time being. About this particular incident, how this girl happened to be here in a right place as he said, only one thing angered herā¦he intended to kill her orignally.
Then there wasā¦
Cruze - Phora never understood him, he seemed to be emotional, and yet his control of emotions wasā¦admirable, it is something sheās envious of. Nonetheless itās fascinating how easily Cruze induces pain to oneās he kills, and never lets anger take control of him.
And lastlyā¦
Phora couldnāt believe what was said, here she was worried about how Ashara was losing everything to dark side, and yet she still commits good deeds as she said...
Except that didn't make sense ā life taken, cannot be given back by good deeds.
āAnnoyingā¦ā She muttered.
Of all people, she almost forgot about...
Jalee - the one she likes most, maybe for how simple minded she is, or maybe because of her humor.
Considering all of it, now Phora understands why Rholdun leftā¦
Cruze zoned in and out of what Ashara was saying. Cruze had heard many stories about what Ashara had done. He beliefed some of them, others he didnāt know if they were true or not but he didnāt really want to find out. Everyone has their secrets, everyone has their regrets. Plus Cruze didnāt really care, he cared if his allies were strong and could carry their own, and what he had seen, they can. Also he cared that they wouldnāt betray him. Much like Koren had said, Cruze does not appreciate betrayal, he once shot a crew member out the airlock for just trying to skim a couple credits from one of their missions.
āAnnoyingā¦ā Cruze heard Phora mutter under her breathe. He was the closest to her, so he wasnāt sure if Ashara or Koren had also heard. āCareful there hun.ā He whispered to her, as much as they didnāt see eye to eye, Cruze didnāt want her pissing off Ashara. Cruze looked back towards Ashara. āAh yeah, it would be annoying if the spy would resist, but a little fun you got to admit.ā Cruze said, he may or may not have been trying to cover up Phoraās mutter. āSo shall we go then?ā
"Anyways we need to get going before the spy ends up disappearing on us." She continued. "Is everyone ready? Are all assailants dealt with?"
āYeah I do, life taken, cannot be given back by good deeds. Thatās my issue, I simply canāt understand your behavior.ā She sighed, no matter how confusing it was to her, at least Ashara tried to do something to lighten weight that she carries on shouldersā¦and now Phora canāt help but realize how old she sounds without speaking it outloud.
āStill, letās just leave it for later, now spy happens to be our main concern.ā
