Trinity

"Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises."

0 · 377 views · located in Nila

a character in “Stars of Arina”, as played by peachyme123

Description

Trinity
"Be careful with your words, human. I can hold quite the grudge."

Image
Age:
Unknown
"I don't know... probably as old as the stone itself, I suppose..."

Gender:
Male
"It's rather insulting you had to ask in the first place."

Position:
Dragon of Destiny
"Of course, I wouldn't have a position in regards to human terms."

Kingdom:
Resides in the Nila Kingdom
"Here I have my peace; no other places have escaped mortal touch."

Family:
None
"Family? I was created for the benefit of a rock. Therefore the thought of having any sort of
blood relation is truly laughable."

Who is your Master:
TBA
"I have resisted meeting my current charge in person, merely watching from afar, but the whispers of Death have reached mine ears... I must go soon."

Side:
Oh he definitely wants them dead for sure.
"Ultimately I am at the mercy of my stone. All things must lead to that."

Scars/Birthmarks:
Trinity obviously has red insignia under his eyes, marking him as a noble dragon by birth. However, as he was created to protect the stone, that is simply the kind of dragon he was born to be, and holds no political power whatsoever. Unbeknownst to all but himself, are similar markings on his lower abdomen, upper arm, back of the neck, and lower thighs.
"An unfortunate reminder I do not truly belong to myself."

Tattoos/Piercings:
Nope.
"Why would I disrespect my body in such a way?"

Personality:
Trinity's pride is his main defining trait. Pride in his appearance, pride in his race, pride in himself. But how can he take pride in anything about himself if he does not truly belong to himself? How can he claim to be above the human heap if he exists for the benefit of another? Even mortals can make their own decisions freely, can live their lives as the choose, to a certain extent. Though Trinity answers to no king, he is under a tighter rule than any human would ever be without the influence of a stone. Around his Master, Trinity behaves as the bitter, broken being he is. Trinity views his life as something expendable and worthless, and behaves as such. However, upon opening up, Trinity is actually a character full of a malicious sort of vitality, prone to over-exaggeration and teasing.

Because of his prideful nature, Trinity is a prickly sort of person who won't take insult from others or himself. He loathes humans, and as such will never fully take on his human form (preferring his draconic appearance) even though he rarely is fully dragon either. Trinity is a stickler for tradition, and will follow customs to the bitter end. You can tell he's stubborn, and extremely loyal if loyalty is won over.
Because Trinity hates everything and everyone, he will do his best to make things miserable for all parties involved. He demands the outrageous, throws tantrums, drinks like there's no tomorrow, scorns all, and will refuse to assist his Master in any way until it becomes a life and death issue.

Trinity has a very nasty personality. For all of his cute quirks, he's not someone to be trifled with.

Bio:
"Bio. Latin root for life. Guess what? I don't have one."

Image

Talent/Skills:
<Can hold down alcohol better than anyone.
<Is masterful when it comes to court intrigue.
<Trinity's fighting style is brutal, elegant, and decisive all in the same sweep, much like the lightning he is affilated with.
<Trinity's a speedy sucker, but his strength is what set's him apart from other dragons.

Weapons:
Has a sword, but is never seen using it.
"My body itself is a weapon."

Loves/Likes:
+Flowers
+Nature in general
+Basking in the sun
+Most animals
+Freedom
+Clean air
+Reading

Hates/Dislikes:
-Humans
-The rock
-His Master
-Other dragons
-Humans
-Alcohol
-Things that kill mindlessly
-Anything unintelligent
-Coarse language
-Loud noises
-Having to do actual work

Wish/Desire:
That he had been born among his own kind, that he could own himself.

Fears:
*People making him give up what little he has left.
*Becoming emotionally involved.
*Being rejected by "real" dragons.
*Stinkbugs.

Weakness:
<Is never motivated to do anything, ever.
<Is only average with a sword.
<The stripes are rather sensitive.
<EXTREMELY vulnerable in regards to things he cares about.

Crush:
TBA
"Hahaha."

Relationship Status:
Eternally single.

Other:
oHas dimples.
oHums when content.
oA snuggler.
oSocially awkward around small children.
oGets embarrassed easily.
oLightning strikes when angered, static electricity is an always.

So begins...

-FOUR DAYS AGO-

He was going to throw up.

It was inevitable, really. He refused to do the task that was set before him, and he did not want to. Such side effects were to be expected.

Why should he give up his comfortable domain in the clouds? His natural state of existence, after all, was in the air. Why must he bind himself with the flesh and blood of the mundane? He was a dragon; an ethereal, prideful creature which owed allegiance to no man. The nature of the dragon is to transcend all things humane, to exist in a sort of trance-like state of being that all sentient forces of nature were also meant to take place in.

Perhaps it was because he wasn’t a dragon. Not truly, anyways.

Admittedly, Trinity was like a dragon in every single way except for one. He wasn’t born a dragon, he was simply created to be one. But except for that, Trinity partook in all other things that were considered “dragon”.

He resided in Nila, the most dragon-friendly out of the lot of them.

He lived not in a storm, but as the storm, as only as lightning dragon was capable of doing so. He was one with nature; his rolling scales twisted and turned with the shifting heavens, lightning struck wherever he chose to descend upon the earthly plane, he was-

-definitely going to throw up now.

Trinity dropped from the sky like anvil, the sinuous twists and turns of his serpentine body straining futilely for flight, unable to keep itself airborne under the sudden onslaught of nausea. The dragon’s rather large form plummeted into the surrounding forests, skidding for the better part of a mile and uprooting a lengthy track of trees in its wake. Trinity managed to escape any form of road-burn thanks to the protective effects of his scaly armor, but suffered some bruising (he had been rather high up) and was regrettably even more nauseous than he had been previously, if that was possible.

Perhaps he was going to die.

The speculation had merit, after all. He refused to do the divine (was that the word for it?) duty he was created for, and as such it wouldn’t be unreasonable to suggest that he could just as easily be un-created in the event of rebellion.

But that would be too merciful. It was more likely that the rock would simply force him into protecting it and it’s Holder from whatever forces were plotting them harm. In fact, as Trinity found his dragon form slowly melting away into one much more feeble, that was probably what it was doing at that very moment.

A human-esque figure was now sprawled in the center of trench where a dragon had laid only seconds ago. While Trinity was rather mortified by the forced transformation, at least there was some comfort in the fact that his pain had faded with his dragon-self. For now, he was fine, but that was sure to change if he didn’t start paying heed to the call of the Destiny Stone.

Grumbling to himself, the golden-eyed “human” clawed his way out of the furrow, forcing himself to drag his feet in which the direction the rock pulled him.

Kira couldn't help laughing, as she headed toward her room. As she reached the door, her laughter turned into nothing but bitter tears. Entering her room Kira leans against the know closed door, sliding to the ground. Kira took in her surrounds...her room. It always had more...more lavish clothes that choked her when worn... precious gemstones and jewelry that was always to heavy...and exotic treasures that never seemed to fit her. If you were to look on the outside you would say Kira had everything she could possible want...but if you looked on the inside you would realize how...empty...Kira feels when she looks at all these things. She doesn't want this, she doesn't want any of this...she feels like a butterfly trapped in a net. This Net was suffocating her, until it completely killed her. Just like her life...no matter were she runs to, she can never escape...never. Kira hugged her knees to her chest and buried her head between them. Staying there until she wakes up from this nightmare.

A soft light hit Kira's eyes from the direction of her bed, she noticed that she had received another gem. This time it was the color of a rainbow...it was so beautiful...so filthy...just like Kira. Kira wanted to puke...Kira was going to puke. Standing in rage, Kira grips the rainbow gem off her bed, and mashes it to the ground, specie of glass shatter everywhere.

She felt a sharp pain coming from her feet. Kira looked down to see that her feet were cut up by the glass, blood was dripping from the open wounds. Tears fell down her cheeks, as she laughed at herself,"How pathetic I am".

She looked at herself in the mirror, and for split second she saw...Her face. Kira smiled at the mirror,"Is this what you felt Mother? Every single day being trapped in this prison. Is this why you left me alone"?

She felt Eva glow,"Go ahead...Laugh...Tell me to just change my Destiny... Take away something". Kira laughed and rubbed her tired eyes, she couldn't believe herself. She was lashing out at a stone, this is an all time low. But...it doesn't matter anymore does it. What else could she do? She was a trapped butterfly, unable to fly.

Kira smiled sadly at her reflection. The sun beamed through her window, shining brightly on Kira. Kira smiled at the sun,"Are you trying to cheer me up"? As if in response to her statement, the sun shone even brighter on her. Kira looked toward her door, and smiled. "I'm already in trouble, so it isn't going to change anything if I go outside now". Kira gripped one of her sashes from her newly bought dress, and tied it around the door. "Now no one can come in".

Kira walked to the window, and was about too jump out of it, though realized she was in her formal dress. Kira quickly changed into a loose short-sleeved white shirt, and some jeans.

"Much Better". Kira couldn't stand those hard to move clothes, it always cuts off her blood flow.

Once dressed and ready to go, Kira jumps out the window, ignoring the fact her feet were still bleeding, and that it was the second floor. She landed on the grass, wincing in pain as he feet throbbed. Though she quickly ignored this fact and headed toward the forest.

Kira had been walking for a while, She was tired and her feet started to burn. Kira found a lake near for, and sat down at the edge of the pond. She dipped her hand inside playing around in the water. "How innocent...". Kira looked at the water, and all its purity. It was the exact opposite of her...it was pure. Kira started to remember the song her Mother use to sing, and smiled.

"I still remember the world
From the eyes of a child
Slowly those feelings
Were clouded by what I know now

Where has my heart gone?
An uneven trade for the real world
Oh, I, I want to go back to
Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all

I still remember the sun
Always warm up my back
Somehow it seems colder now

Where has my heart gone?
Trapped in the eyes of a stranger
I want to go back to
Believe in everything

Lesu, Rex admirabilis
Et triumphator nobilis
Dulcedo ineffabilis
Totus desiderabilis

Where has my heart gone?
An uneven trade for the real world
Oh, I, I want to go back to
Believing in everything

Oh, where, where has my heart gone?
Trapped in the eyes of a stranger
Oh, I, I want to go back to
Believing in everything

I still remember".

After days of walking, the good news was that the rock was near. Trinity would thank the heavens for his draconic endurance (otherwise his feet would be little more than bloody stumps at this point), if not for that fact that he was fairly certain he should be directing his gratitude a little more... downwards. No sort of god he knew would condemn him to this sort of servitude.

On the other hand, the bad news was that the rock was near. While this also meant Trinity could stop his mindless trudge soon, the last thing he wanted was to be the one sealing his freedom’s letter of execution. But there he was, dragging himself through the forest, metaphorically walking it up Hangman’s Hill.

Trinity knew that when he saw the Holder it would all be over. Any last dredges of hostility would be crushed, and he would call her, ‘Master’. And while that wouldn’t stop him from his own little forms of rebellion, any and all intentions to physically harm his captor would vanish like dust in the wind. In fact, he’d have to start dealing with the... urges.

The dragon finally reached a break in the treeline, literally cursing every religious entity he could think of at the moment, trying not to pay attention to his surroundings. Trinity marched, one foot in front of the other, but still remained as graceful as ever to people who didn’t know him.

He knew she was there by the water. He would’ve known even if she had been silent, but no, for some reason his Ma- the human wretch was filling the air with a harmonic melody.

Damn her.

Trinity was, to his internal horror, becoming lulled by the human’s notes. Despite himself, he was becoming more relaxed, his stride loosening as he stepped forward. Trinity, not sure how much more he could take before doing something questionable, heaved a small breath of relief when she finally shut her mouth.

The draconic being stopped, then, a good six feet away from his target. Now it was time to say something.

“Wench.” Ah, what an excellent opener.

“Look at me, but hold your tongue.” It was best to give the illusion he was in charge right from the get-go. Suddenly keenly aware of his aristocratic dress and appearance, Trinity plucked a painted fan from one of his sleeves, opening it with a snap and lazily fanning his face as he peered haughtily over it to take in his new... Master.

Hm.

Reluctantly, Trinity had to admit her appearance wasn’t displeasing. Her looks were warm and welcoming, full of gentle curves and soft colors. Her expression on the other hand, betrayed a sort of distance that he couldn’t quite place.

Hm, indeed.

The steady fanning came to halt. “Though it’s much to my reluctance, it would appear that we have... business to take care of, human.”

Trinity shut the wooden instrument with a clean flick of his wrist, proceeding to use it to point towards the place he knew the rock was hidden on her person. “You.” He stated, looking her straight in the eye, internally demanding she lower her gaze in the face of his.

“Are the Holder of Destiny.” If he cared about her safety he probably wouldn’t have said that out loud. But needless to say, Trinity most certainly did not, so he continued, withdrawing the fan to rest it against his chin.

Thunder rumbled in the distance. “But do you know who I am, human?”

“Wench.” Ah, what an excellent opener. At this moment Kira didn't know what to do. Should she run... No, he would probably catch her. Maybe jump in the water... but that would be stupid since it would only slow her down, instead of him. Kira automatically scooted back, she didn't enjoy this at all. Now on her feet she quickly sat back down, wincing in pain. The memory of the shattered glass cutting her feet, came back to her. She softly sighed and sat back down paying close attention to the...Man.

Master. More in wonderment then fear, Kira stared at the "human". He was dressed in clothing you would know an aristocratic to wear, and his appearance... It seemed somewhat human, though it wasn't. Kira gazed at him with disbelief, yet with...amazement sort of say. He looked as if he was a celestial being...which he probably was now that Kira thought of it.

The steady fanning came to halt. “Though it’s much to my reluctance, it would appear that we have... business to take care of, human.” Her eyes grew wide in disbelief. What? Kira couldn't comprehend anything at the moment this...Celestial being was announcing that they had matters to attend. Not once in her life has she met anyone like him. Kira wanted to just get up and leave, but she knew that would be...rude, so she stayed and listened.

Trinity shut the wooden instrument with a clean flick of his wrist, proceeding to use it to point towards the place he knew the rock was hidden on her person. “You.” He stated, looking her straight in the eye, internally demanding she lower her gaze in the face of his.

“Are the Holder of Destiny.” If he cared about her safety he probably wouldn't have said that out loud. But needless to say, Trinity most certainly did not, so he continued, withdrawing the fan to rest it against his chin.
It took a moment for Kira to hear what he had said. Holder of Destiny. What does he mean by that? She stared up at him with a confused look on her face. She wished to ask,but thought wise she shouldn't. He seemed...irate at the moment...probably at her. Kira glanced down and saw that his feet were bleeding. Kira stole a peek at his face to see the uncomfortable look in his eyes. It sent...pain to her...Kira wished she could do something.

Thunder rumbled in the distance. “But do you know who I am, human?” She jumped at the sudden clap of thunder, which made her laugh. Kira saw that he was know glaring at her, so quietly she looked down laughing. She spoke softly and with respect,"I'm sorry...It's just that I have never been...well scared before. So this is all new to me". Kira was always treated badly by others, but what he was doing...it was different. Unlike all the others they would talk to her almost as if they were giving her a sense of... falseness. But with him...he talked and treated her as if she was... at the very least something. He wasn't kissing up to her.

She saw again the pained expression on his face, and spoke gently,"Um...I'm sorry that I haven't answered your question sooner. To be honest, I can see that your not...from here. But I do not know who you are. Yet I do know that...your in some kind of pain",she glanced as his bleeding feet. "If it isn't rude...would you let me mend them"? Her eyes were filled with pain for him.
