Introduction
Deseo is full of various landscapes and histories.
It is a world that still has much to discover. Magic, is a common thing and is broken up into six vary distinct practices.
There is dark magic, which is not as ill thought of as it sounds. It deals with necromancy and the like. Some are still getting used to seeing it performed openly, but it is a practice that is becoming more popular with time.
Light magic is a highly thought of sub field of the mystic arts. Healing practices are popular among those who study this field.
Earth magic can either be one of the most helpful fields or the most devastating. Responsible for animal taming, forest growing ,and the occasional earth quake this magic effects all things around it.
There is also fire magic, which can be quite destructive if not kept in check. It can ward off evil or destroy whole civilizations.
Water magic users tend to have a knack for the mental arts. Anything from breathing underwater to controlling an adversary's thoughts fall under this area of magic.
The last is air magic, these magicians tend to mix martial arts in with their training, using their magic to increase speed and acrobatics, even the occasional experienced flier.
There are so many more skills and sub fields of magic under these practices that it would take libraries to explain them all. Mages come in all shapes and sizes. (This means feel free to create new ones!)
Another very common thing among the people of Deseo is the legends that are passed down through the generations of people. One very particular legend is well known through the entire land. “The Stone of Desires” is the most sought after item in the history of Deseo. People have looked for it for generations. Legend has it that a man by the name of Solar Night found an artifact left by the gods. With it he created magic. He hid it away, knowing of its great power and potential for destruction, for this stone was capable of much more than creating magic. It granted its owner one wish. He died before ever disclosing its location. Many adventurers have sought after this legendary stone. Many have died in the quest, but none have come back successful. It can not be scried or found by magic. Despite the fact no one has been successful, it has not stopped hundreds of mages, both young and old, from looking for the device. Perhaps even the gods are unaware of its hiding place.

She trudged on, travelling light as she always did. The only weight on her shoulders was the task ahead, the only baggage she carried was her secrets. The wet snow made travel difficult. She had been travelling all day. Her feet complained louder than she would have liked. Her will wanted to continue on, her mortal body however, fought her as her internal alarm forced her to slow her pace. She saw a nice flat spot up the trail a ways. She made it right as her legs were threatening to collapse. A small over-hanging made a good shelter from the falling snow. She removed her boots an d rubbed her aching feet a while as she watched the sun continue to set. Wadding her cloak into a pillow, she laid back and watched as the stars started to come out one by one. Her stomach growled in protest, she patted it as if to comfort it. She was only a day from civilization and food. She tired to ignore her body's multiple complaints and drift off to sleep. It wasn't long till drowsiness took over and her breathing evened out into a deep sleep.
Fire burned everything. Screams filled the air with terror. It came from everywhere, making it impossible to tell where the screams were coming from. She cried as the warm pain overtook her, consumed everything she had loved, everything that had ever held any importance to her. Red filled her vision, so much red. It continued to grow till there was nothing but black.
Screaming awoke Zara. In her drowsy state, she didn't realize that the screams were erupting from her own mouth. She clutched her hip as the pain subsided. It was morning now, although the sun was not quite up. She could tell by the birds cheerful chirping. She would never be able to fall back asleep now. So disregarding her body's various groans, she re-donned her boots and cloak, then continued up the mountain.
The trip down the other side was somewhat easier now that she did not have to fight against gravity as well. Everything continued uneventful as she traversed down the hill side. The town of Sadar was now within sight.

He stepped out from the ancient doorway of the library. It expanded behind him, a great wooden structure built against the rough mountainside. Upon the Blademaster's back he carried a bag safely securing the tome. The wind whipped against the mountainside, pulling against the grasses and shrubs clinging on yet only a whisper twisted his cloak. His magic effortlessly keeping it at bay as his feet found their way against the rough twisting path down. In time he walked through the foothills towards the town of Sadar.

He looked on seeing the inn, smiling moving toward it. He watched, as the visiters left the inn looking around, then moved toward there next location. He walked a few more steps getting towards the inn taking two final steps. He finally got to the door placing his hand on the handle, and gently pushing the door open. Atlas was greet'd upon arrival by the own him safe. "Hello sir, are you looking for a room to stay. We have afew that is open." Atlas smiled looking toward the own nobody would have beable to see Atlas's smile sense the collar covers half his face. "Yes Sir, If you'd be most kind. How Much?." Atlas asked. The owner Answer'd, and Atlas pay'd the price for the room. The owner would call one of the ladys that worked in the back to show him his room. Once she show'd him, he smiled giving a slight head bow toward. Then turned around placing his hand on the doors handle, and opening it. He slowly takes a step walking through the door, and closing it behind him.
Once in the room he walked over toward the window placing his hand out, and clicked one of the latchs to open the window. The window would open outwards, and stay. He moved placing his forarms on the edge leaning out looking around feeling the breeze hit his face. "Ahh, what a wonderful day this is." Altas said talking to himself.

The cold had beaten Kai though. She moved closer to the animal she traveled with, stealing some of it's body heat. Kai looked around the town. It was simple, and small. Very similar to her own. She had been here previously with her Grandmother, but that had been a few years back. Kai had thought she remembered where the Inn was. The Inn doubled as a small tavern and restaurant. Kai's stomach was not very large, but it required food often.
A strange looking man stared as Kai passed. The man made her uneasy and desperately want to reach for her wand. She feared even greater what he would do had he known her abilities. She fought the urge and moved more swiftly towards the inn. Kai kissed Xannah on the forehead before she placed a rune of protection on the panther while no one was looking. Xannah could take care of her self, but Kai wanted to know when she was in danger.
Leaving Xannah behind, she entered the Inn. It was warm and welcoming unlike the harsh winter outside. Kai hung her hat and fur coat on the hooks but the door and went to order.

“Draco Dawn's daughter,”
“She was there when he died,”
“What do you think she is after?”
“What happened? I heard she was such a sweet girl,”
The whispers followed her like a plague. Head down, eyes on her feet, she walked toward the Inn. It was always the best place for information, especially the kind she needed. She slunked in the doors, stealthily, quietly, doing her very best not to be noticed. She took a table in the corner and listened hard to the busy conversations around her.
“Can you believe it! Four more deaths In Gilly-Ford last week. That is over ten deaths in this are in a month, I’m starting to think they're related.” The conversation was interesting, but not what she was looking for.
“There was another sighting of those strange creatures over in Noman. They say their burning, smouldering wherever they go, leaving a trail of fire and ash.” She smiled, but again, not what she needed. She shifted her focus again. A bar-main came over to her table.
“What can I get for you lass?” she asked with a smile. Zara dropped a few coins on the table.
“Is that enough for a hot meal and a drink?” Zara asked. The maid scooped up the coins.
“I'll see what I can do. “ and with that she was off.
“...studying the stone of desires” That was it! Damn it all, she had been distracted by her stomach. The conversation was happening at a table not far from her. She made her way over to the table.
“I don't mean to be rude,” She gave them her best seductive smile, “but I happened to over hear something about the stone of desires,” The man looked her over steadily, he was deciding if she was beautiful or terrifying, with that sweet smile he decided the latter.
“What's it to you lass?” he asked.
“I just like a good story is all.”
“It's not much of a story darling, just some old coot over in Brookinghiem, apparently he's been studying the damned thing. A load of crock if you ask me. That old wise tale has been the down fall to many a good man. It's a wild goose chase.” Zara let the man ramble on. She knew it wasn't a wise tale. And for her sake, It couldn't be. She thanked the man for his story, went back to her table and and decided to leave that night after a good meal and a nap in a bed.

It felt like hours untill he came to the town of Sadar, but he stayed at the forrest line. He was a strong oppenent but he was jus a mere man and could not take entire town alone. He sat upon his steed and leaned forward, lifting his right hand it began to glow and tiny orbs began to flow out and enter the ground. The earth erutped around him as sixteen skeleton warriors awaiting his orders.
" Find me the one who knows where th Stone lays hidden" he said with a rough and cold voice that would send shivers down a kings spine.
The Skeleton warriors turned around and raced in to the Town of Sadar, as they enetered the towns people screamed in terror as they saw the demonic warriors be going in and out house tearing people from their homes. Two of he skeletons made it in to the hotel and walked to a man who spoke of the stone and grabbed him and started dragging him out of the in.

When she reached the stables a black head roughly the size of her torso jutted out of the first stall and brushed against her chest.
"A pleasure to see you as well Jubilee." She went about feeding and grooming and allowed her mind to search for reasons for the newcomers, and was able to come up with only one reason. They were after the stone. An outcry from the town sent Ruya running to the barn entrance, when she saw the problem a shrill whistle brought Jubilee to her side, swinging up without bothering about tack she pushed her mount toward the inn bringing her chakrams in a smooth arch aimed for the demonic warriors dragging the man.
They'd flushed out who she needed to talk to.

Veter scowled and flexed the muscles in his left hand, looking at the scar burned into the skin. Killing him was harder then people though, and when the time came Veter was certain he'd go down kicking and screaming. After all, he wanted that stone more just as much (if not more) then another. And, if it killed him, he was going to get it.

She would arrive several moments later to find a few skeletons dragging what seemed to be an innocent man away from the inn, there was already a woman seeming intent on engaging the skeletons as well. A few words would be uttered under her breath and her halberd's blade would ignite into a holy flame, with that she leaped forward towards the skeletons, bringing the holy blade crashing down on them, one at a time, calling out to the nearby woman. "You wanna help me out here?"

A small pouch that hung on the inside of her boot kept a few herbs, which she used to make her own tea with the hot water. Kai watched the people about the inn. A woman whom had just entered seemed to acquire much attention from the locals. She listened into the rumors and smiled. . .they were saying somethings about the stone, and the woman's father, and his death, and her change in attitude. This is the kind of person I'm going to need to help me.she thought with much excitement.
Kai walked up to the woman, not wanting the others in the tavern to catch onto Kai's plans, She made up a story, and prayed the woman would go along with it, just so they could get away from all the people to have a conversation. "There you are!" Kai placed a hand on her shoulder. "This way, I want to show you how big Xannah has gotten!" Kai lead the woman out of the inn, on her way out she tossed a few coins on the table and grabbed her stuff by the door.

There were no surprises as to the terror they inflicted upon the townsfolk, although their existence begged a reason. Of all places Sadar seemed an unlikely place for curses to summon the dead. The work of a necromancer was undoubted, although the intention of such mage escaped Abyss. He shifted his command of magic, his vision restored to normal as his steady pace spread more land beneath him. The air magics brought him down to the town quickly as the scenario unfolded. The skeleton minions crashed through dwellings and stores, seemingly searching. As the blademaster neared the town upon his enchanted footsteps a pair of fleshless emerged from the frequented inn, dragging a man from the shelter. Obvious they had found what their master searched for although the retrieval was becoming a larger deal as a number of individuals began to assault the undead. Abyss did not join this number, the squabble seemed to be of no importance to him and thus he had no need to interfere. Yet the silent warrior would not leave the village molested by strange forces. His greatest nemesis was mystery as it was with the other warrior scholars of his order. He kept his stride strong, and passed through the open battlefield, drawing the blade upon his back as he approached the forest edge from which the skeletons first emerged.

He cut the head off before sending a boot through its ribcage. Hopefully that would keep it down. Looking around, he lunged at a skeleton hanging around the edges of the fight. Veter moved quickly, sticking both daggers into the thing's skull before giving it a kick towards a building. Now that the things were noticing him, Veter realized he was going to have to be more careful. He looked at one of the women, one holding a huge... Thing. Veter wasn't exactly sure what it was, but it looked like an ax with a spike on one end.
"I suppose I can help," he said calmly, like they weren't in the middle of a fight.

Jensara continued to swing the long shafted weapon about, the light magic enveloping her weapon dissolving the bones of the skeletons as it came into contact. The numbers of skeletons grew, as did the number of people fighting them. "Keep pushing them back! We need to find the source!" She continued to cleave through the skeletons with her superior reach, making sure to move towards where the skeletons seemed to be coming from.

Veter nodded at the woman, her magic dissolving the skeletons as her weapon touched them. It was something he hadn't seen before, but he wasn't about to let himself get distracted. The number of skeletons seemed to increase. Concentrating, Veter kicked away one skeleton before shoving a group into a wall with a strong blast of wind, their bones shattering between the wind and stone. He ducked as a skeleton lunged at him, stabbing it in the spine and pulling his hand out with another kick. Some magic-users didn't like getting down and dirty in fights, but Veter loved it.

"You are coming wth me" he said the the an who had spoke of the stone. He bent down and grabbed the man by the back of the shirt and pulled him up and stuck the man across the hose and infront of him. Grabbing his massive sword he looked at those who sought to disrupt his plans. " you get in my way again and I will kll you where you stand and raise your bodies up again to have you kill your familys". Turning his horse around he kicked in to the horse and the demonic steed took off in flight towards the forrest where he could take cover and get the information he wanted.

Ruya hissed in frustration being unable to get between the necromancer and the man that was clearly his target. His warning made her smile.
"Nothing like a threat to make things fun." The animal beneath her lunged almost without prompting, huge strides devouring the ground between the two steeds.

As the rider swept the prisoner upon his horse and wheeled to return to the forest Abyss in turn made his move. Stretching out his focus he summoned the magic into him as he darted into the shadow of the conifers, hidden. He held his katana ready, awaiting the other to reach the forest edge. The steady thud of the demonic hooves grew in his ears as well as the unmistakable sound of pursuers. In a movement he was removed from his hiding place and facing down the charging warrior. Not a flicker of fear showed in his eyes as the thundering beat threatened to crush him. Swifter then a panther he leaped forward, clearing the dark magic beast and arced towards the rider, bringing Pyrava sweeping across with strength enough to send the necromancer flying if it made contact.

Veter raised an eyebrow and sat back to watch. This wasn't his fight... Not yet. After all, why look for the stone when you could just follow someone to it? He looked at the woman with the halberd.
"What's your name?" He asked. Admittedly he was struggling to keep his voice level. It felt strange to act like a normal person, to ask questions....

[/i] “This way, I want to show you how big Xannah has gotten!”[/i] She began to lead Zara out of the inn. She followed, but cautiously. Once they were out of ear shot, she turned on the girl.
“Who are you? What do you want with me?” She asked, holding her blood stone encrusted dagger to the girl's throat. She was going to give this girl a chance, and if she proved a threat she would end her here and now. Nothing could stand in her way. She had abandoned all her sentimental feelings long ago.
Suddenly the commotion sounded from the town around her, giving this stranger one last glare, she sheathed her dagger in the side of her boot. Something more important was afoot.
“We will speak later,” She told the girl. It was command, not a promise. With those words said she turned to explore the landscape around her. She didn't get involved, these townspeople were not her concern. As long as the skeletons caused her no harm she would not get in their way. She watched as their master left.
"You get in my way again and I will kill you where you stand and raise your bodies up again to have you kill your families". The man rode off with the villager who had told her about the old man in Brookinghiem. This she could not stand for. She clutched her hip in pain as she summoned one of her ashen-moore beasts. He landed in the middle of the town, as the people around her screamed in terror at the winged beast's flesh, burning and smouldering. She mounted her monstrosity and looked at the girl who had taken her out of the inn.
“Unfortunately, other things have take precedence to our conversation, maybe we will meet again.” And with that she embraced the warmth of the flaming creature and clicked its sides as she took flight. Wind blew her cloak back, exposing her china like skin and pale white hair, she looked like a monstrosity herself. She flew as fast as the beast would take her toward Brookinghiem, ignoring the grumbling in her still aching belly.
