The Elder Scrolls V:Skyrim Roleplay

The Plot

The Civil War between the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Empire is tearing the snow-covered land of Skyirm apart. With the Dragonborn mysteriously disappearing after defeating Alduin the World-Eater, Skyrim is left without a hero to save the day. The Stormcloak Rebellion is desperate for heroes to come and aid them in their cause. Regardless of their race, heroes from all around Skyrim are requested to join the battle and save their home-land. It is time for you to take the future in your own hands and save Skyrim from the corrupted Empire.

Important Facts

  • The Dragonborn has disappeared, therefore there will be no character in this roleplay that is able to use the Thu'um, sans Ulfric Stormcloak who will be an NPC.
  • This will follow an altered Civil War Questline. I will be giving out missions and such using Ulfric Stormcloak and Galmar Stone-Fist NPCs, however how the quest is completed is completely up to you as the roleplayer.
  • Your characters have the freedom to be from any faction or place you want. However, they cannot be the leader of the faction. Why? For the simple reason that (although we don't do that in the game) leaders should stay put and lead their people. So no Listeners of the Dark Brotherhood or Arch-Mages, however Adept/Master Mages, Thieves and Assasins are in.
  • If you think that you can equip your characters with Daedric Armour or some rare weapon at the very start or the roleplay, you're mistaken. I don't want over-powered characters who are hidden under Ebony Armour right at the start. You will have the chances to gain rare weapons and armour as the roleplay progresses. Same goes for improving weapons at the forge - unless your character is specifically a Blacksmith who spent years learning how to improve weapons and armour, then you're not going to have weapons that are improved to Legendary. That is, unless you spend a post or two at the forge, learning the trade :)
  • You have to be familiar with Skyrim in order to join this roleplay (obviously). Knowledge of Dawnguard is not needed, due to it not being part of the roleplay. I don't own it yet due to being a PC player, so no Dawnguard or any of the new weapons/armour from it.
  • Daedric Prince Champions: I've decided that no roleplayer will be one at the start, however we can make it a bigger part of the plot or decide who gets who in the OOC when the roleplay gets into the swing of things and do little spin-off posts at some point where the characters will be able to get the artefacts.
  • You might want to note that if you choose to be a race different from Nord, you will be accepted into the Stormcloaks, but it may take longer for you to "prove yourself" so to say to the NPCs - especially your character is an elf.

Characters

I only want a small group of roleplayers, therefore I will only be accepting 5 characters. I do take reservations (post in OOC if you wish to reserve) and those last 48 hours, however even if you reserved, if there is something wrong with the character sheet, I may reject it. I will give you a reason why though and tell you what you could improve in order to get accepted.

Toggle Rules

  1. No Mary-Sue characters, god-modding, or anything of that sort. It ruins the roleplay completely. Also, keep your character in-character. If you write in your bio that they have personal space issues and don't like touching other people, don't make them give out hugs to everyone.
  2. Keep this lore-friendly. No modern technology or slang. If you play Skyrim, you know about how they speak and what the do and don't have.
  3. If you want to play with the big boys, act like one. Basically: respect other roleplayers. Don't take OOC drama into IC content. Also, if you have a problem with someone, keep it to PMs.
  4. Romance is allowed, however it will not be the main part of this roleplay and anything past PG-13 should be taken to PMs. This is a roleplay about saving a land from the Empire, not about your character falling in love.
  5. Don't be ridiculous with your characters. By that I mean don't make them thirteen year old lust-filled war machines. Keep it real.
  6. Use proper grammar and spelling. I understand if you have the odd typo or two, but try to proof-read your work and for goodness' sake, use paragraphs and punctuation! We went to school for a reason, I understand if English is not your first language, because I'm in that situation, but I'm doing just fine. If you don't at least try to use grammar and spelling, then you're getting kicked out.
  7. No one-liners. For the love of everything, put some effort into your posts. I don't expect essays but it's difficult to work with one-liners.
  8. To show that you have read the rules, post 'Roleplayed by (your username)' somewhere in your character application, please.
  9. Try to post often. If you can, post every day, but if you can't (I know some people can't) then please make it at least every two-three days. Also, if you are to be absent for a longer amount of time (holiday, swamped with homework) then post in the OOC so we know that you aren't dead. Also, if you need to abandon the roleplay for whatever reason, either send me a PM or post in the OOC.
  10. If you have any problems or questions, just ask. I don't bite and at the GM I am here to help. Whatever the problem, I can help to sort it out.

Wind blew the snow through Valunstrad, the oldest section of Windhelm. The bitter air of the snow-covered land of Skyrim reddened the cheeks of the guard stood outside of majestic Place of the Kings. The strong Nord men had a natural resistance to cold, however even the toughest of them were chilled to the bone by the snow storm.

It was the twentieth of Frostfall and the throne room in the Palace of the Kings was cold, quiet and mournful. Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak had just received the news that a dozen of his troops were captured by the Imperials in The Rift. They were in difficult times, the war was getting more heated with every moment. Day after day, his Stormcloak soldiers fight for their beliefs – many times they bring back victories to be re-told in mead halls, however failures happen. Failures that bring mourning to the soldiers' families and cut the numbers from his army.

“My Jarl,” Ulfric looked up to see Galmar Stone-Fist, his most trusted man, second in command and housecarl.

“We need people, Galmar.” Ulfric told the man.

Galmar nodded, grunting. “We need the Dragonborn.”

Ulfric sighed, resting his head on his hands as he sat on the throne. “The Dragonborn is no more, my friend. What we need are True Sons and Daughters of Skyrim, people who do not abandon their country in need.”

“Where will we find soldiers like that, My Jarl?”

Ulfric grunted, sitting back in his throne. “We don't, my friend. Men and women like that come to us.” He said. “We just have to wait for them.”

~*~

When Rexia finally reached Windhelm, she was tired, frozen to the bone and her leather armour was in shreds. On the way from Riften to Windhelm, she was attacked by a group of Frostbite Spiders from which she barely made it out alive and her armour was torn apart by the vicious beasts. Then a snow storm surprised her about two hours away from Kynesgrove and it ended up taking her nearly five to reach the village.

Relief showed on her dark, battered face when the guards let her through the gates. She travelled by foot for the entire journey so all she wanted was to get some rest. The guards said that she could get some food and a bed at Candlehearth Hall which was just in front of the gates. However before she could do that, she needed to get her armour repaired.

After ten minutes of asking around and getting directions, Rexia reached the local blacksmith. He was a Nord, named Oengul War-Anvil who worked with his assistant Hermir Strong-Heart. He seemed like a good, honest man and his assistant was definitely... spirited—she was singing praises for the Jarl of Windhelm to everyone that would listen.

“Hello?” Rexia tapped the blacksmith on the shoulder. He turned to her with a grunt. “I need to get my armour fixed.”

“I can see that, lass. By the Nine, what did you do to get it in that state?” Oengul said to her, examining one of the leather bracers that now resembled leather
strips rather than a sturdy piece of light armour.

“I got ambushed by Frostbite spiders.” Rexia said simply. “How much will it cost?”

“I'm sorry lass, but it will be cheaper for you to buy new armour. There is not much that can be done for most of this. A while set will cost you 240 septims.” The blacksmith said to her.

Sighing in annoyance, Rexia took out her money. She hated spending money, she preferred to steal whatever she needed. However it was a necessity, she needed new armour pretty quick and she didn't have time to have a stroll through the city to see if anyone was hiding away some decent light armour in their chests. She handed Oengul the gold. “I'll just get it for you. I have some leather armour somewhere around here.”

A while later, Rexia was in Candlehearth Hall getting something to eat. She was dressed in some loose-fitting clothes with her new armour back in the room she rented out for the night. The cook placed some Venison Stew and Spiced Wine before her and Rexia gladly dug in. Tomorrow, she would go and see about joining the Stormcloaks, however today was time for rest. Her whole body was aching from the journey and losing her favourite armour didn't put her in a good mood either.

Talen-Shei could hardly see a thing through the wild blizzard that tore through the forests of Eastmarch, how by the Nine did the local Nords cope with this weather. Skyrim was nothing like Talen-Shei's homeland of Black Marsh, Skyrim's vast, coniferous forests were nothing like the warm, wet swamps of Black Marsh. However, a job was a job, and Talen-Shei needed the money. He urged his weary horse forward, a horse he had stolen from a highwayman who had made the mistake of trying to rob Talen-Shei. As Talen-Shei usually did with his victims, he carved a picture of a snake into the highwayman's forehead. He was beginning to wonder if he might become immobile due to the cold, cold-blooded creatures like him were ill-suited to to frigid blizzards of Skyrim.

After about another hour of riding, Talen-Shei finally reached his destination, Windhelm. He dismounted his horse, he didn't bother leaving it at the stables, he didn't need it anymore. It ran off, Akatosh knew where to. He walked past a few guards who guarded the gate, the one wearing an open-faced helmet glowered at him as if he were Tullius himself. Talen-Shei was half inclined to drive his dagger through the bigot's throat, but he could hardly get a job fighting for the Stormcloaks if he killed off his allies. Silently cutting the string that attached his coin purse to his belt and stealing it was good enough.

Once inside the city, Talen-Shei decided he should find some warmth and food before he lost all mobility completely. There was a nearby inn, Candlehearth Hall that seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

Talen-Shei pulled down his hood as he entered, allowing the warmth of the inn to seep into his weary bones. The inn was filled with mostly Nords, but there were a few Dunmer and a Redguard woman as well. He sat himself down at one of the tables after buying a pint of ale and a large bowl of stew. Once he finished, he was going to straight to strike out a deal with Galmar Stone-Fist.

Morgana rode down the road, she hadn't lost the imperials yet, she made her grey horse stop. She turned her around and summoned fire magic. The 2 imperial soldiers rode up, they held their swords, they were going to execute her without a fair trial. "You chose the wrong criminal." She aimed her flames at one of them, he dropped from his horse, his armour had been set alight. Morgana watched as the other jumped down to help his friend. She turned her horse back around and kicked, the grey horse started to gallop towards the city wall.

As she neared a bridge leading to the city of Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak and his soldiers, one of the guards approached her, a torch in hand, "Who goes there?" He called to her as her horse slowed to a walk. "Isolde Nirol, I wish to join the Stormcloaks." She called, not attempting to hide her Imperial accent. The guard begins to laugh, "An Imperial? Fighting for the Stormcloaks?" He managed to say through her laughter. "I suggest you don't turn me away. I'm a valuable asset to any army." She told him, he then lead her horse to the stables and helped her down. "We won't turn any brothers or sisters away." Morgana nodded to him before wrapping her furs around herself warmer and continued into the city. She was greeted by Candlehearth Hall and walked in instantly.

She was hit by the warmth and smell of foods and wine. Morgana sniffed it in, "I already like this inn." She climbed the stairs and sat, a waiting someone to bring her some wine and warm food. She noticed a Redguard woman and nodded to her as a greeting, then she noticed an Argonian but he had his back to her. "Some food, wine and a few hours of sleep. Ulfric can wait." She said to herself.

Dayolin walked to the the city gates. The bandits who asked him to pay a fee were so rude, they got blood on his shoes. They took a fireball but he quickly restored it with a rabbits soul. The gates were as large as ever though they were guarded especially heavily. "What do you want Dunmer?" The guard asked. "I just want to speak to Ulfric...or one of his war ministers. I have a proposition that may bring them a victory." The guard let him in.

The Nords always hated his kind, Talos knows why. The people all around him glared, at him. Surly the Nords would be happy to see a Dunmer mage? Of course not, none of them were open minded to new ideas. Dayolin still casually walked into the inn in the center of town. Walking in he headed straight to the innkeeper for a drink. "Four bottles of Black Briar mead." He looked at the other Nords in the inn. "Make that five." He placed down 125 septims before sitting at a table. Looking around the inn he saw three who were certainly not any local. A Redguard, an Argonian, and an Imperial. Drinking alone was, well of course, lonely and certainly these people were traveling alone.

"Imperial." he addressed the black haired woman. "How be it in Skyrim so far from your home? How about a drink, you look stressed?" Dayolin asked as he pushed of bottle of the expensive mead to the other side of the table.

Morgana looked at the Dunmer, he seemed to be inviting her over. Morgana stood and approached him, she sat across from him. Looking at the bottle and spinning it with her finger. "I'm Isolde Nirol, you are?" She introduced herself."And where do you think my home is?" She asked, scratching her neck. She took a sip of the mead and hid her distaste for the bitter. 'Would have much preferred Alto Wine, but Beggars can't be choosers.' She thought silently to herself.

Rexia looked up from her half-finished meal to see a strange array of people in the inn with her. The few times that she was in Windhelm before, Candlehearth Hall was dominated by Nords. To see an imperial, an argonian and believe it or not but an elf too, was unusual by anyone's standard. Being the curious little thief that she was, Rexia decided to investigate them. And what better way was to do that than striking a conversation?

"Hey Argonian, what brings you to Windhelm?" She asked, moving to sit with him as soon as she finished her meal. She took her wine with her, which was still half-full, but ordered some mead for the two of them nonetheless."It's strange to see your kind around these parts, no offence meant."

While Talen-Shei was eating a Dunmer and an Imperial also entered the dining hall. What an odd display of diversity for a Stormcloak city, the most racist one in the whole of Skyrim no less.

It wasn't soon before he had unwelcome company. The Redguard woman came and sat at the other side of the table, bringing a bottle of wine with her. He hoped the conversation wouldn't have to last long, he had important business to attend to.

"Hey Argonian, what brings you to Windhelm? It's strange to see your kind around these parts, no offence meant."
"I'm here on business." Talen-Shei replied, "Galmar Stone-Fist wants someone other than a blundering idiot with a warhammer in the Stormcloak ranks, so he hired me."
He took a swig from his pint before speaking again. This woman didn't seem to mind the fact he was an Argonian, that was certainly a start.
"Redguards aren't particularly common around here either, what brings you to Windhelm?"

Rexia took a swing of her wine and grinned. "Aye, we're not exactly from around here, it's far too cold. I was born and raised in Whiterun myself, only my grandparents had the pleasure of living in the Hammerfell warmth." She replied. "I'm here on business too, to join the Stormcloaks. I hope that I'm not a blundering idiot as you said, but I certainly don't weild a warhammer - to heavy, not dicrete enough." Rexia smiled.

The Argonian seemed nice enough, if not a bit sarcastic. Although living in the Thieves Guild with Vex and Tonilia certainly made her immune against the latter. "I never caught your name, Argonian. I'm Rexia." She said to him.

"Aye, we're not exactly from around here, it's far too cold. I was born and raised in Whiterun myself, only my grandparents had the pleasure of living in the Hammerfell warmth."
Talen-Shei almost told her about his past in Black Marsh, but he stopped himself. He was The Serpent now, Talen-Shei had died in Cyrodiil.
"I was born in Morrowind." Talen-Shei lied, giving no hints that he was telling untruths, "It's not particularly warm there, but it's no way near as bad as Skyrim."

"I'm here on business too, to join the Stormcloaks. I hope that I'm not a blundering idiot as you said, but I certainly don't weild a warhammer - to heavy, not discrete enough."
"Ulfric must be getting desperate." Talen-Shei remarked, if Ulfric was desperate enough to accept large numbers of non-Nords, perhaps he could extort more money from Ulfric, "His 'Skryim for the Nords' policy seems to be failing. Good thing too, otherwise I might have had to find work with the Imperials, and where would that leave him?"

"I never caught your name, Argonian. I'm Rexia."
"T-" Talen-Shei stopped himself, he couldn't let her know who he really was, "Just call me The Serpent. I no longer have a need for a name."

The wind slapped against Feylon's cheeks. He left Whiterun a day ago and his progress towards Windhelm had been slow uncomfortable. He had traveled a great distance since leaving Valenwood almost 2 months ago and now his body grew weary of travelling. Staying no longer than a night in some of the inns he passed through. Now all he wanted was a few days respite from the cold weather that had battered his body since arriving in the Northern province of Tamriel. Now weary from his travels he stood before the gate of the rebel city.

Two guards watched him as he approached. His fur cloak wrapped tightly around him desperately trying to retain what heat his body had left. Shivering he came to a stop at the gate before the two guardsmen. "What business does an elf seek in Windhelm?" snapped one of the guards. Shuddering he opened his mouth. "I seek shelter for the night and audience with Ulfric." The guards let out a howl of laughter as Feylon's face reddened with anger. "What makes you think Jarl Ulfric will have audience with an elf? What if you are an imperial spy? Perhaps we would be doing him a favour by killing you now". Feylon winced as the words reached him. Placing a hand on the hilt of his sword he shouted back to the guards. "You fools, I am not your enemy. Dare you turn down support for your cause? I stand here willing to join you and you speak as if you would not have me?" The guards looked at each other puzzled. A moment later they stepped aside and let Feylon proceed. However not without suspicious gazes.

Once he entered through the gates warmth filled his body. Sheltered from the harsh winds outside the walls he felt a little bit of heat seeping through his skin. It would be enough to to keep him from freezing to death but he needed more. He headed for the inn that stood in front of him. Pushing the door open an air of heat brushed across his cold face. Every bit of his body stung as the warm air battled with his freezing cold skin. Now he noticed the looks on the faces of the regular patrons. Disgust and hatred had filled them. He moved silently through the crowd as they mumbled words of hate and placed himself on a seat as far away from the Nords as possible.

"The Imperial City. Must be nice this time of year, though I haven't gone there for many years." Dayolin told her. Looking around the bar he spotted the Argonian and Redguard speaking to each other as well as a Bosmer. He was siting away from the Nords of coarse, maybe he was a mead drinker to. "Bosmer" He said across the room. "Why not have a drink over hear with a fellow elf?"

"I didn't" Dayolin sighed. "My name is Dayolin. As for that question the answer is simple. Magic. The only reason that the Aldmeri Dominion had defeated the Empire. One mage that specializes in the school of Destruction magic is easily worth 20 nord or imperial soldiers. Also if that mage is injured he can simply be healed by himself or another mage that specializes in the school of Restoration. If the army runs out of infantry mages who specialize in the school of Conjuration will simply summon more infantry to serve as fodder for the other mages. Ulfric is desperate only because he, like many nords, don't like the thought of using magic. The Bosmer obviously has no magical talent as I guess I am the only mage in the room. If Ulfric had at least 20 more mages he would win the war and may even be able to take it to the offensive so Skyrim can gain more territory. His pride is the only thing that stops him from doing so. I guess he thinks it would make them like the Thalmor." Dayolin finished speaking to take a drink of mead.

"Also the Empire can't get enough from the Mages Guild ever since the necromancers warred with it. Most soldiers have a problem with necromancy but I see no problem with it." He looked at his mead as he continued to drink.

Rexia nodded slowly. "The Serpent? I heard about you." She said. "Nothing good and it came from the mouths of drunken travellers, but I heard some stories."

Rexia took a drink of her wine, finishing it off. It was strange, she was comfortable enough to be talking to this stranger who would soon, quite possibly, be her comrade. She didn't like comrades - she worked alone. However it seemed that The Serpent was someone who shared her views - that it's best to be working alone. She couldn't imagine a man like him to be a people person.

"How do you know I'm not a mage?" She looked around, making sure no one was listening in. "I may even be a necromancer." She took another sip of the mead. "Heh. I don't know about that. The blades I summon are pretty nice." He said jokingly. "So tell me. If you were necromancer, what type would you be?" That was always what it came down to. If he ever met one that created black soul gems he would gladly strike them down without hesitation. The Empire made it illegal for a reason and who knows what happened to the souls once they were in Soul Cairn. Dayolin looked outside the window. The snow was like all snow, being here means that he was eventually going to spill imperial blood on.

"The Serpent? I heard about you. Nothing good and it came from the mouths of drunken travellers, but I heard some stories."
"You don't tend to make many friends when you make a living killing their loved ones." Talen-Shei replied as he finished his pint, "All I require is that people give me the respect I deserve. People who cross me don't tend to live long."

Once Talen-Shei finished his stew, he stood up and pushed his chair under.
"I must be going now." He told Rexia, "I have business to attend to."

Talen-Shei once again had to step into the bitter cold of Eastmarch, a cold he didn't want to have to bear for long. He hoped the Palace of the Kings would be as warm as the inn. The Palace of the Kings was to the north, and not particularly far away.

As he expected, Talen-Shei did not receive a warm welcome as he approached the palace. The guards standing in front of the large, steel doors both drew their weapons, a mace and a battleaxe. Talen-Shei knew they wouldn't listen to reason unless they were helpless, so he hurled a throwing knife at the mace, splitting through the handle, making it unusable. He then leaped at the guard with the axe and slammed his foot down on his right wrist, causing his to drop his axe and clutch his wrist in pain. Talen-Shei kicked his axe away, leaving both guards helpless.
"Stone-Fist was right, the Stormcloaks really are in need of specialists." Talen-Shei sighed as he removed a scroll from his cloak, opened it and showed it to the helpless guards, "I have a personal invitation from Galmar Stone-Fist. Ready to let me in now?"
Without waiting for an answer, he barged past and into the palace.

The hall was relatively empty, Ulfric wasn't in the room, and neither was Galmar. Only a man in a red shirt and a fuzzy hat.
"Galmar Stone-Fist, the Serpent has arrived!" Talen-Shei called out and waited for Galmar to present himself.

Rexia shrugged of The Serpent's exit. She was tired anyway. It was time to turn in for the night, she has to get up early tomorrow morning to meet with Galmar Stone-Fist. Paying for her meal, Rexia went to her room and almost immediately sleep claimed her worn body.

...

Galmar Stone-Fist looked up from the map of Skyrim when he heard his name being called out. He followed it to the source of the noise - an Argonian. The Serpent. Galmar regretted that his army was not enough to fight the Imperials and he had to hire men in order to win it, however it was necessary. If it meant that those damn Thalmor and the Imperial bastards were kicked out of Skyrim, he would do it.

"The Serpent." Galmar said to the Argonian. "Before you join the Stormcloaks, I need to test your abilities. I have heard stories telling of them, but I need to test them out personally. Go to Bleakcoast Cave in the hold of Winterhold. There is a book there, 'Battle of Sancre Tol' that you will have to bring back to prove yourself. It is said that the cave is inhabited by four Frost Trolls, so bring another person who wishes to become a Stormcloak with you, if you wish." Galmar explained. "I trust that it's enough information, I'll be awaiting your return, Serpent."

It is said that the cave is inhabited by four Frost Trolls, so bring another person who wishes to become a Stormcloak with you, if you wish."
Four frost trolls?! Was this man trying to mock him? He had slain important, heavily guarded, political figures, powerful warriors, influential drug lords, and got away with it. Well, apart from that Synod. Now he was being asked to stab a few trolls! At least it would be easy. Maybe he could take that Redguard he met earlier, Rexia. She was warm blooded, she didn't suffer so much from the cold as he did, he might need help on the journey. The roads of Skyrim weren't exactly welcoming and in. If he didn't wrap up warm enough, he could lose all mobility in his body. He didn't like the thought of having to travel with a companion, but it was better than dropping into the snow and dying there.
"I'll leave in the morning." Talen-Shei replied, "I'll be taking someone else as well, there's a Redguard who wants to join your cause. From what I can tell, she's more like me than the rest of your troops. I'll return soon with your book."
With that, Talen-Shei turned and left the hall, ready to take on his assignment in the morning.

After an argument with the innkeeper at Candlehearth Hall, Talen-Shei finally managed to acquire a room. If he hadn't had the written invitation from Stone-Fist, he would have had to sleep in the Argonian Assemblage. He would have to wake up early tomorrow morning if he was to get Rexia's assistance. If he woke up second, she would likely go off somewhere on her own. Sleep claimed his weary body quickly as he fell onto the bed and dozed off.

Talen-Shei awoke rather early, the sun wasn't very high in the sky, so it couldn't be any later than six in the morning. He quickly pulled on his cloak and left his room, he presumed Rexia hadn't left yet, so he sat by the entrance and waited for her.

Morgana raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I don't quite understand your question." She looked back at him. "You're a conjurer? Interesting." She then felt the sleep grip her and she yawned. "Oh, I do apologise." She blinked and looked at the Dunmer. "I may have to call it a night. Goodnight." She told him as she rose from her seat and rented a room. The Nord didn't want to let an Imperial have it but Morgana was paying more than the asking price for the room. Once in the room, Morgana shut the door and stripped down to her undergarments and climbed into the bed, pulling the furs over her body.

Feylon felt all the tension in his body surge downwards as he relaxed on the chair. It had been a long time since he had the pleasure of a comfortable chair rather than the floor of his tent. He let his pack drop the the floor giving off a load thump. He was now as relaxed as he could be in a city filled with racist and hateful Nords. He had to always be alert for his kind was not taken too kindly in these parts. He knew in himself that if the Imperials had not done his family wrong he would be fighting for the Empire against these fools. Now however he had an oath to fill. He promised revenge for his plight and he was going to get it one way or another. For now, that meant keeping his head low and bearing the hate.

He heard then, the call of another elf a few tables away from him. He looked towards the band of people that clustered themselves around the table. At first he was weary. He had no idea who these people were. He decided against sitting with them with a small reply. "I have to decline your invitation dear elf. I have nigh enough time to dally around for the evening. I must take my leave now and setup camp outside the walls before it grows too dark for me to see." With that Feylon nodded and left the inn.

He headed straight out the gates and towards a clearing across the bridge. He set down his gear and hastily constructed his tiny 1 man tent and unfolded his bedroll. Not having enough money for anything was making his journey a lot tougher. At least he would get used to the freezing cold temperatures. If they didn't kill him first.

After the the imperial left Dayolin was alone. The Bosmer rejected his offer, instead choosing to be a loner. What was there to do? Dayolin had not been tired as the training from the Blades broke the habit of long sleeps out of him. He looked through his side bags to see how many soul gems he had left. Two common and one greater. Might as well finish that scroll that he had been working on, then head outside the walls to find an animal soul to replenish his amount of gems.

Walking through the woods he saw torch light. Odd, who could be traveling at this time of night. Still in the bushes he saw them. Thalmor Justiciars. They apparently had no idea he was there, but he would never pass up a chance to kill a Justiciar. Once they passed within three quarters distance of himself he tossed a fireball at the leading Justiciar. They scattered with what looked like the leader lying face first in the snow. The others scattered to the trees still not knowing where their attack was. Dayolin took out a scroll that contained a more powerful summoning. In a moment he summoned a Draugr Scourge Lord in his line of sight behind the trees. Dayolin commanded it to attack the Justiciar to his opposite side. While it fought the Thalmor, losing by the looks of it though buying time none the least, Dayolin threw a chain lightning bolt at the Justiciar at his right flank. It hit both of them but the enemy threw an ice spike that nearly drilled through his head. He returned the Thalmor's spell with an ice spear that killed on impact. Quickly he drank a a low grade magica potion before focusing on the last one. Then it hit. The last Thalmor killed his Drauger and threw a lightning bolt at Dayolin's side. He shot an ice spike at his deeply injured foe, killing him when it hit.

The lightning caused some bleeding and drained much of the little magica that he had left. Dayolin searched through the bodies only to find one weak healing potion. He drank it greedily, but it did little for the wound. Plopping on the ground he felt pissed that he only had enough magica to close the wound. This would not have happened if he took more potions with him. He would survive for now, the wound posed no threat as long as he didn't push himself too far. The battle most likely cause commotion to any on the out side of the wall. He was close to the walls so maybe somebody would hear him if he cried for help. "Help! Somebody! Help!" It hurt intensely to speak in such a loud voice. He hoped somebody would come soon.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Hey, I'm not going to be here for 2 weeks but I'm gonna try and get some internet while I'm away, I'll be back August 23rd, I'll make a post now though

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

So Dayolin's just sitting outside the walls now. Trying to heal, but got to admit if your not the dragonborn the Thalmor are so OP when you fight them.

So what happened to the posting?

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

I've sent Talen-Shei to a cave with Frost Trolls as his first mission. However, everyone will get sent to different places - some may go alone or in pairs, depending on what you wish :)

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

I'm glad to see people's posts :)
And we have two elves, an argonian, redguard and and imperial.
I'm shocked that no one picked a Nord, however it just makes things more interesting :D

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Nope, conor's an elf too.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

I'm the the only elf here. This may get interesting...

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

ToasterLover245 wrote:Right everyone! The first post is up.

Awesome :D

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Right everyone! The first post is up.
Have fun with this roleplay :)

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Yes it is going ahead, I'm just doing touch-ups to the first post. One person backed out, but I have someone with a character ready so expect this to start within the next day or so :)

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

So is this still going ahead>

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Information to Roleplayers: Almost everyone has sent in their character by now - we're waiting for one person. After their character gets approved, I'll write the first post and get that up.
Everyone will start off in the same place - going to Windhelm to join the Stormcloaks. The first posts will be like an introduction to set the scene. As soon as the characters reach the Palace of the Kings, Galmar Stone-Fist will give out the first mission which will be to 'test' you guys - like in the actual game. But I might be doing things differently, so don't expect me to get you to kill an Ice Wraith. I might, but I might not - it will be surprise.

I would appreciate it if you guys could post in the appropriate place (I made all the holds) when the roleplay starts. It wil just make things easier to manage - especially later on when I'm going to send people in different places.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Damnit, just missed out. Ah well, I'll follow this roleplay anyway, looks good!

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Arlathina - yeah, unfortunately all places are reserved. If you like, I can inform you if anyone decided to back out and a place frees up.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Awww... It appears that I showed up just a bit too late. How unfortunate. :( This looked like a really good roleplay.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Flexar - by adding you we have a full house :) I'll be waiting for your character application.

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Don't suppose I could reserve a character as well, could I?

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

I like to reserve a character too please!

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

ThornGood and Conor, your characters are reserved :)

Re: Stormcloaks: Fighting For Freedom

Huzzah a Skyrim roleplay!!! This is good :D Would I perhaps be able to reserve myself a character? :)
