Introduction

The lights were dim in the crowded sanctuary, small sounds of chattering coming from the audience rested on the pillars. They talked about beliefs, debating upon the ways of Ocopite in a very conversational, never barbaric, manner. If they were to scream and shout among each other, their god would find it disgraceful and, of course, 'unclean'.

Every person in the room was in cloaks which covered their form, not exposing anything but their faces, neck, and hair. They came in a small variety of colors. It varied from black to gray. People sat in certain groups based off of age. The children and teenagers were in a color of pure black, as black as the devil's soul. The adults wore a black as well, although it was a lighter shade and just a bit off from a dark smoky color. The elders all wore a light shade of gray, almost blending into their aged skin. And why were they dressed this way? Well, it was to represent their depravity. Children were the most sinful with no sense of direction, being 'unclean' and unpurified. The adults wore a lighter shade of black because in time they had become a bit cleaner, however they still carried some of their sinful nature. The elders were in gray to say they were the most clean, but they still carried a small portion of their wickedness.

As soon as light footsteps were heard, the crowd instantly became hushed, eyes shifting to the altar. A woman decked out in off-white stood, her arms spreading out as the fabric at the end of her sleeves swooped down, making it appear like wings. "My children," she said with ease, her gray eyes sparkling with passion. "I welcome you today for 'The Cleansing'. Let loose the sinners." Two people completely clothed in silky ebony robes. "Disrobe," the woman said kindly, handing each of them an atramentous towel.

Each slid off their robes and wrapped their nude skin in the towels. She grabbed some ink and dipped her fingers in, drawing what could only be transmutation circles on their backs."By the power of Ocopite, I claim these souls shall be cleansed!" Gray-colored sparks flew around from the alchemic reaction, the woman named Corliss twisting and mending their souls as they shrieked in agony. Soon after, they fell to the ground, no pulse in their hearts.

Corliss bent down to each, checking the pulse and breathing that had just stopped. "Ocopite has claimed these vile souls unworthy…"

Once his automail was broken, Edward again had to return to his mechanic, dragging Alphonse along with him.

This being said, they were unable to get any infommation from Colonel Mustang. In a small town in the desert region of Amestris named Angkor, many deaths have been occuring. After a woman named Corliss Milborrow moved there soon before, teaching the ways of the god Ocopite. Many people who enter her chapel never get out alive. According to the Colonel's sources,

Running out of options on how to deal with the issue, Roy Mustang questions sending the Elric brothers down themselves. However, their time is growing limited, and Roy Mustang is a very busy man. He has a lot more issues to deal with. But he can't let these deaths go on. So far, he has know lead but is getting information from a man whom he sent undercover to report back to him. But when he stops hearing from this man, how is he supposed to get his information?

1.~No text talk~ I really hate text talk. It is rather hard to understand, mind you. If you are going to RolePlay in this forum, it should be written in story form. Third person, to be exact. Like "he/she/him/her/it/etc"

2.~Put all OOC comments in a different format~ As long as they actually look different from what you're typing during your general RolePlaying, I'm alright with it. Italics I may have a problem with, only because they could look like a character's thoughts. Other than that, there's parenthesis, brackets, these things: {}, front and back slashes, and even bold.

3.~Keep an open mind~ If a character is not accepted right away, don't go and rant about it, just fix the character without complaint. If you need help with it then there will be a certain place where you can get advice and talk to others about adjusting certain traits about your character.

4.~Be respectful~ Obviously, if a person is RolePlaying on this forum, they have been accepted through a moderator and have a given the right to be on this forum. You have to be able to handle that. If someone has a Mary Sue character or something, I will call them out. Please respect the moderators as well. We have our reasons for doing as we do. Do not go against it or anything. We are not here to rule the forum, only to keep it going along successfully.

5.~Do not go on the RP without being accepted~ This should be a given... Just wait until your character is actually accepted before you begin roleplaying, because you may have to make some adjustments. Please just be patient if it takes a day or two. Some of us may have to do some major thinking with all the things going on in whatever and we may have to think your character through really thoroughly. Adding OOC drama about your character not being accepted is unnecessary.

A p p l y i n g

When applying for a character (canon or original) follow the layout which is given to you and include an example in the same box as the personality. Remember to write the example underneath the personality, but in the same box. Look at an application under "characters" for an example.

R o l e p l a y i n g

7.~Each person is allowed three characters total~ A person may have three characters. This means you may have three canon characters, one OC and two canons, two OC's and one canon, or three OC's. Just try to make sure the number of canon characters and the number of OC characters are proportionate.

8.~Please no god modding~ Do not control another one's character and if there is a fight going on, give the character a chance to dodge. If you were to say something like: He/ She aimed a fist in his/ her direction, it would be perfectly fine! Just make sure no one is taking advantage of the situation. I know, the good guys always win, yadda, yadda, but that doesn't quite seem to be the trend in FMA... The point: Don't control others' character(s)

9.~Try to make posts at least 100 words~ Just try the best you can. 100 isn't hard. If you're in a fight scene or something, then I understand if it's a bit harder to get up to 100, but do your best!
10.~Cursing is OKAY, just don't go overboard with it~... I think we all know in Fullmetal Alchemist, they may mutter a quick "damn it" or "bastard" every now and then. Well, almost every episode, but hey. Just don't be annoying with it. If your character is dropping the F-bomb every other word, that could just start a few things.

11.~Try to avoid sex topics~... It is a T/ PG-13 rated forum so a tad bit of hinting at them is okay but other than that, I don't think this should be used much. Mention of it is okay as well. I'm pretty sure we all know the colonel sleeps with about five women a night anyway.

12.~Keep in character~ If you don't know the character well enough to do that, well first off you probably wouldn't get the character in the first place, but honestly, think about the way your character acts and reacts in certain situations. Use quotes from the anime/ manga if you need to.

13.~No yaoi~ This goes with the staying in character thing. I mean, it's okay to fantasize, but let's be reasonable. Ed and Roy are the straightest guys ever... They're not even on a first name basis… It's 'FullMetal' and 'Colonel'.... Sorry, I just don't understand that pairing… But honestly, please no yaoi. 13. ~Do not kill off another's character~ How fun could it really be if one person were to kill off a character due to hatred for the character, or perhaps out of envy... No, not Envy, but envy. If a character needs to be killed off, we should discuss as a whole and if the person does not want their character to be dead, we will

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

Yes, of course. It's based on the first series, because I have not read the manga yet... Heh heh...

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

Something I wonder if if this is based around the manga/Brotherhood or the original anime. I need to know because depending on which one changes lots of stuff. No spoilers for anyone but to let you know. When the anime was being made the writer said they wanted it doen differently to the manga. Thus there are some major changes.

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

Kinda like how Tucker performed alchemy on his daughter and dog.

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

*raises hand* Every time you transmute humans, don't you have to pay a toll at the gate to the truth guy? So how does this Corliss person do human transmutation on the unclean people's souls continuously?

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

Alright, well, there is woman named Corliss Wilborrow who is a preist who preeches the ways of the god "Ocopite" and promising all that she will assist them into the "Kingdom of Radiant Shadows" which is the heaven for those who worship Ocopite. However, the woman is insane and takes those who are considered "unholy" to be "cleansed" in the chapel. The woman then uses alchemy on their souls, and the victim then dies. She also seems to be linked with the homunculi which then interests the military.

Roy Mustang is trying to find a way to stop the deaths without having to contact the Elric brothers (who are in Resembool), but he already has so many cases on his plate, and will probably end up giving them the case anyway. Does that clear it up, or do you need more information? If so, what do you need to know?

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

This seems interesting but the intro is a little short can you give a little more back story? Otherwise i have no idea how to construct my character and where he should be from.

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

What character do you have in mind?

Re: [OOC] Story of the Stones

I would like to join this, but do you have a specific character skeleton I can follow?
