She pulled out a ten dollar bill and walked over to the removal van handing it to the men with a smile " Thanks a lot guys, you've been a great help I didn't think my bed would fit up those stairs but you got it up there. Treat yourself to a nice beer when you get back." She laughed softly and headed back in picking up the box and walking into her new home.
It was very spacious and everything was working, no work was needed which she was grateful as Athena didn't have a handy bone in her body creative arts and crafty yes, but replace a water pipe and fix a fuse box? Nope. Her brother Arturo on the other hand was very handy.
She headed into her office a large area with a large bookshelf opening out to French double doors into her large garden that backed onto a inviting forest. Smiling to herself she unpacked rather quickly, her inquisitive nature wanting to explore already as well as finding some spots for inspiration for art and writing.
He grabbed her camera and headed out the doors walking slowly into the town pausing to take pictures of signs and buildings causing some rather strange looks from the locals. She stopped at a bookstore and smiled stepping inside, it was beautiful sort of old and antique looking like it had been her for many years. Her slender fingers ran over the book spines picking out a book on the history of the town and local landmarks and a book about local myths and legends. Walking up to the counter she looked around she didn't see anyone when she came in.
" hello? Anyone there?" she called tucking a peice of hair from her head behind her ear a nervous habit now a natural quirk of hers. She ran her fingers over the glass countertop and gazed at the rare books.
