Amaterasu Shizu

Age: 14

Personality: If you ask anyone what they think of Amaterasu… there’s a few words you would likely get to hear. Blunt, sarcastic and an all around tomboy, this girl is more suited born as a male rather than a female. But dear god up there must have a made a mishap when he preparing her gender. There’s no delicate bone in this girl’s system.

She’s quick witted with slight temper to boot. Slight, just because years of karate training finally toned it down. The girl’s patient, born with an analytical mind pray she doesn’t use it against the person who peeks her ire. But hidden underneath the tough persona she erected is a kind child, chivalrous to an extent she hates seeing people being bullied or abuse and wont hesitate to defend a person from someone.

Bio:Amaterasu Shizu, born and raised in a middle class family in the district of Kokoro at first glance anyone would have thought she was just a regular kid growing in the suburbs. But I digress, there’s a secret her parents never bothered to tell her until it came knocking on their doors in the form of their in laws. Turns out, both of her parents were heirs of wealthy clans. Her father being the heir of the Shizu Corporation whiles her mother…

Well she’s the heir of an infamous Yakuza family. So imagine the child’s shock when the truth finally came out. She was stunned at first, refusing to believe that her ordinary life just came to an end. She was wrong at that… she managed to strike a deal with her grandparents that she would make sure no one found out who she really is and still managed to get her lessons done.

Not easy task right? But for her ordinary life she was willing to wager it…

She thought it was going to be an easy win… that was until she found an injured cat one night on her way home. She couldn’t leave the poor dear to die so she did what a kind child like her would do…she took the cat home, bandaged it up and waited for it to wake up while thinking how she was going to beg her parents to let the cat stay.

Again she thought it was going to be easy…

But fate loved proving her wrong when she woke up the next day… to a small boy in his teens. The cat was nowhere to be found, instead of the cat the boy took its place.

So begins...

Amaterasu Shizu

Kuso…

A bad time for the rain to start falling, who knew it was going to rain today the weather report earlier the day said it was going to be sunny all day… Yeah Amaterasu scoffed at it. This was the last time she believes those airheads on TV. Nothing go ever came from those so called weathermen and their predictions when clearly mother nature wanted to prove them wrong.

And prove them wrong she did…

The rain storm right now proved it as much. A curse swore from the child’s lips as she ran through the red light. A large beep came from the running truck, it barely caught her as the driver swore. “Crazy kids!” The man yelled.

“Well you’re not getting soaked his bub!” She yelled back in an equally irate tone. The rain plus being soaked isnt doing wonders for her already short fused of a temper. Did she actually look like she cared? The girl quickly shook off the thought before it really did register in her mind. Best not to think of something she was sure was going to break her delicate sanity. It had been delicate ever since…the little revelation that landed her in her current predicament. She sighed softly, looking down at her clothes to see that it was no use trying to save it from the rain. It was already soaked, half an hour to one wont change the fact that she was going to get a scolding from dear mother when she comes home.
Oh joy…

She refrained from rolling her eyes at her own musings, she walked up down the sidewalk brushing past the late night goers as they do hurried home to avoid the weather. Turning to the right, she ducked into an alley. She figured taking a shortcut wont harm her chances, besides… The girl fingered the hidden switch blade on the holsters hidden under her skirt. Thank god for her mother’s side of the family… they’re paranoid asses.

But good paranoid asses to be blunt,

She held her thoughts back yet again as she neared one of the turn ways and then…

Flashed, a shadow darted past her. Her instincts placed both of her hands on her side preparing for an attack. But then there was nothing… that couldn’t have been the wind… she deterred. Narrowing her eyes at the direction where it disappeared too. And hell that was no cat or any animal either. Amaterasu couldn’t decide… but staying here did her no good. So she continued on…. That was until she spotted a downed figure by the wall. At first the girl thought it was garbage but as she got nearer she saw that it was…an injured cat.

“Well now…” The girl stood there in slight surprised. The next thought that came was that the creature was dead but that soon disappeared when her sharp eyes caught it’s chest moving weakly. Still alive… but not for long….

“Poor thing…” The girl murmured softly in pity as she gently took off her black school blazer before wrapping it around the wounded animal. As gently as she could, she lifted it up in her arms while making sure she didn’t jostle up the wounds. “If you can hang on for awhile… I promise I’ll get you fixed up…” She murmured to it as if it could talk back. That’s just silly though, everyone knows animals cant talk. Without further hesitation, she ran the rest of the way home.

He was pretty much dead, after suffering such a beating, he was certain he would die. When the other left he wondered why. Why would they leave when they had gone so far as to chase him down? It didn’t make any sense. He was only very slightly conscious, able to feel, but too weak to open his eyes. When another presence approached him, he thought that the other had returned to get him. Though, this presence felt different.

“Poor thing…”

A voice said near him, probably owned by the presence he could sense. Suddenly something fell over him, cloth. It was slightly wet, but then again so was he. The pain was too much. He had gone numb as he was lifted in the cloth. It smelled nice though, very nice. It reminded him of something but he couldn’t think of what that something was. The cloth however felt nice, and as a warmth came he knew he was being held, and held with care. Perhaps this person wasn’t bad, they certainly felt nice, nurturing even.

“If you can hang on for awhile… I promise I’ll get you fixed up…”

The person spoke again. He could detect in the voice that the speaker was female. He wanted to respond but the pain was too much, he couldn’t will himself to speak. He was so exhausted. He just wanted to sleep. He could feel more movement, a slight jostling. The person, his saviour must be running. He wanted to say thank you, or repay the person in some way. In fact he vowed he would. In the safety of the girls arms, he finally gave way to sleep.

How she wished the ground wasn’t soaked enough so she could run faster… instead of having to be careful in case she slips and drop the wounded cargo she held in her hands. The small cat stirred weakly in her arms. It was weak, the girl barely felt the movement and to be blunt she thought the cat’s nine lives were already running out.
She hoped it was still a full nine… but after this night,

It probably went down to eight or seven, or who knows if this is the first life threatening injury the poor thing suffered. As she ran into the raining night she looked down at the bundle she held in her arms. A cat… its black fur soaked with both its blood and the rain. It’s so hurt that the girl wondered if it was still alive.

Of course it was, she reasoned mentally. There was still a light movement on its chest meaning it was still breathing. But for now… the girl knew she needed to get the poor thing medical attention. It wouldn’t be long before she reached her modest two story home in the depths of this small subdivision. Skidding into a turn on another street she could see the familiar rooftop and attic where a small balcony window stood. That was her room, she was near. The lights were out meaning her parents still werent home from work.

One problem down… the girl mentally checked out of her mental list. But she still had a few more… she moved the bundle slightly in her arms to fish out the keys from her pocket then rammed it down the keyhole before she rushed inside and out of the rain.
Sweet relief… she flicked on the switch in the darkened hallway as she slipped out of her shoes. Water dripped from her soaked clothes and into the wooden floor but the girl barely gave heed how her mother will react with something messing with her good polished floor. She’ll grab a rag later…

“Okay, okay… how to fix up a cat again?...” She mused out to herself. Truth be told, she never had experiences with pets before except for a small chick she once took home. But that was… five years ago? Who knew it was one of those white leg horns, AKA thirty days old chickens.

But were getting off topic here.

Bolting to her room, Amaterasu gently placed the soaked bundle on her bed before running back out to get the first aid kit. How she wished she brought the creature to her friend’s place… her friend’s mother’s was a vet meaning they could help the creature more than she could ever do… But it was too late, she wasn’t about to run back into the pouring rain just to go one station away to their house.

Hell no.

So the cat would have to suffice with her helping it…

“Okay let’s see… Sweet Buddha… how the heck beat this poor thing into and inch of its life?!” The child failed to control the gasp that came from her after examining its injuries. The poor thing could have died… she dried then cleaned the poor thing as best as she could before she disinfected the wounds then bandaging them cleaned.

There…the young red head did the best that she could, now it was this cat’s battle…

It was very comfortable in the girl’s arms. He knew this even as he slept. Most of all he knew he was safe. Almost as if he could tell what was happening even though his body was unconscious. A strange sixth sense he guessed. It wasn’t something odd to have for someone like him. He continued to sleep as the girl got home and began manoeuvring through it. The light didn’t bother him, and he continued to sleep soundly.

He stirred lightly when the warmth of her body left him, indicating he was placed down. It wasn’t enough however to wake him up. He was much too weak. How he wished he could see who his saviour was. He would surely repay her as best as he could, cat’s promise, which, in his homeland was a very strong thing indeed. It was right up there with a magical contract. Yes, those things existed. Some people were just too blind to see it.

He could feel a slight tinge of pain as his body was touched. However, he didn’t react to it. He knew that the person was helping him though. He lay still as the girl cleaned his wounds and bandaged him up. Slowly the pain began to subside. He knew he needed to put himself fully to sleep in order to heal properly. In fact, his body would heal faster than most cats. Since the pain was gone, he could finally relax and allow his mind to shut off. He welcomed the rest and began to breathe normally.
...
There was no sound from him for the rest of the night. Depending on where the girl had put him when she went to sleep he would wake in the same place. However, at the crack of dawn there was a slight change. As the sun crept into the girl’s window and crossed over the cat’s body, it transformed. The small form got larger. Fur turned into skin. Tan coloured hair appeared upon the head of the creature, and the feline features turned into that of a sleeping boy.

All that remained to show that this boy was the cat from before were the two furry black ears, perched on top of the boy’s head and the black tail that curled around his form as he slept. The bandages that the girl had placed on him the night before adjusted to fit the new form as if they were put on the boy in the first place. He breathed softly as the dawn continued into morning, and would sleep until woken by the girl.

It was morning, but still early. The sun was shining, causing the air to evaporate any signs of the previous night’s rain. People were getting ready for their day, some few moving about the streets outside Amaterasu’s house. It was a cloud free day that wasn’t too hot. The birds chirped happily as they began feeding their young.

As the girl grumbled and awoke, there was no noise from the neko except quiet even breaths. Her parents would be awake and getting ready for work downstairs as any others would have at that time. The tan-haired neko boy slept soundly, as the bed gently moved when the girl turned. Well that was until she spoke.

“What.The.Hell?”

Although it wasn’t particularly loud, it was enough for the large cat ears to hear. They twitched slightly and the boy shifted. “Ny…nn” He yawned very cat-like. His blue eyes opened and blinked twice, as the red haired girl came into view. He didn’t see that she was in shock at first, still half asleep himself. He shook his head and pushed himself up slowly. Was this the girl who had helped him? If it was he would do anything for her. The pain in his body was entirely gone, he smiled slightly and said.

“Nn.. Hello M-“

He abruptly stopped midsentence. As he focused he could see the expression the girl wore. He wondered at what she could be so shocked about. He couldn’t place a paw on it. It confused him. He sat there staring at her with his eyes wide and curious. If she were to scream he would cringe, if she were to push him he would topple off the bed tangled in the blankets. Whatever she chose to do, her mother would be coming up the stairs to get her soon. Though the neko didn’t realize it, he had turned into a boy overnight and that would cause quite the predicament if he wasn’t hidden.

Well…this was one hell of a predicament she found herself in. Even in her shock state she still heard the rushed footsteps of her mother going up the stairs to wake her up. They knew the girl is never an early riser, frankly she didn’t know herself why she woke up so early in the morning…

Actually, it was quite a good thing, it gives her the time to come up with a plan on how to get herself out of this predicament. The thought of pushing him off came to mind, then her conscience practically screamed at her that he was injured and that she shouldn’t do something that rash. Scream, that was another but that would alert her parents’ attention…
So that left her with one alternative, shut up and think, and that’s what she did exactly she tried to think.

“Amaterasu! Wake up lazy bones time for breakfast!” Her mother called from outside her door.

Her voice snapped her into action, gently grabbing the boy’s hand she whispered on his ear. “Stay quiet, don’t make a sound and stay inside the bathroom till mom is gone.” She whispered hastily, she then pulled him into her bathroom. Shutting the door she then rushed towards the main door.

Time to act…

She hoped.

“Yeah yeah mom…!” She called back, faking a sleepy voice as if she just woke up. “Is everything alright? I heard running in there.” Her mother called back. Ah crud, cursed her mother’s sensitive ears. “Yeah!” She quickly replied. “Just fell off the bed that’s all, I’ll eat later mom I still want to sleep, it’s a Saturday for goodness sake!” She added with a light grumble. Thank the heavens for drama class. It really is saving her ass. A frown came from her mother’s face before the woman simply shrugged it off.
“Fine kid, but breakfast is on the table if you want, I’ll just place yours in the microwave.” And with that the footsteps fading back down stairs. With baited breathe the girl waited till the steps vanished before she dared open the bathroom door.

The cat boy blinked as the girl’s expression changed rapidly. She must have been trying to think of what to do. He hadn’t thought of it before, perhaps the girl’s parents wouldn’t like the idea of an animal in the house. Maybe the girl had forgotten that she had cared for him the night before. In his current state he still thought he was a cat, merely staring up at his “owner” curiously. He had no idea he had turned into a human, well for the most part. Suddenly a voice interrupted his thoughts.

“Amaterasu! Wake up lazy bones time for breakfast!”

He turned his head towards the door his ears twitching. The voice was distant but sounded as if it were getting closer. It hit him, that it was her mother, as soon as she grabbed onto him. She whispered to him, which distracted him from the idea of figuring out that it was a hand she grabbed and not a paw.

“Stay quiet, don’t make a sound and stay inside the bathroom till mom is gone.”

Quickly he was pulled and shut into a dark room. He panicked automatically and tried to get out. It was his nature to be afraid of dark spaces. As well as, he had other reasons he didn’t want to be in the room. Since she shut the door he fell back hitting the cold floor with his bottom. He went to speak but caught himself before he could make a noise. Meowing now would be bad, especially if her mother didn’t want pets. He remained on the floor not knowing what to do and strained his ears to listen outside.

He didn’t however want to eaves drop. It would be such a rude thing to do when the girl had given so much. When the door opened it felt like ages had passed. His ears were pressed against his head, in fear of the dark place and he sat very cat-like upon the floor. He was on his knees with his arms in front of him and hands placed on the ground. His black tail curled around his frame, as light from her room flooded in. He stayed like that for a moment before he realized that she had opened the door.

Reacting instinctively he jumped towards the light which was outside the room. However, he missed one thing. Amaterasu was standing there, and he was not as small as he thought. With the force of his jump he knocked her backwards, with him landing above her. Strangely enough, he still thought he was a cat.

He was so happy to be free he hadn’t really noticed he had knocked the girl over. It was when she yelped that he opened his eyes and saw her below him. She was lying on the ground and apparently in pain. He didn’t move, but blinked repeatedly. Her head was turned away as she groaned in pain and he frowned, wishing there was a way he could help her.

And then her eyes snapped to his, for a fraction of a second he could see the reflection of a tan -haired boy in her irises. Hey, that kinda looks like- Oh I get it... he thought as it finally dawned on him what he looked like, and what he no longer was. The girl yelped again and he jumped back as she scooted away from him. Her face was bright red, almost matching the tone of her hair. He was overcome with guilt. He must have been the one who hurt her. Yes, the purr~fect way to repay someone, knock them to the ground, Wonderful Kataro. Just wonderful, He shook his head and realized she was looking at him.

“W-Who’re you and what happened to the injured---“

The girl stuttered. He would have opened his mouth to respond but she cut off her sentence and eyed him. The look caused him to look down at himself as well. Bandages were around his arms and another over his chest. There was another on his left leg, but he couldn’t see it at the moment. He wore a simple orange vest and orange shorts to match the vest. The vest was open revealing the bandages wrapped there. He blinked in surprise, one because he hadn’t been human in so long, and two he had no idea where his blue shirt was. He glanced up again and realized the girl was trying to speak again.

“Okay… what happened to the cat?”

Her voice was still a little shaky but much calmer. He waited for a moment, unsure if he could still speak. “I..I..kat” he responded and pointed at himself to justify his claim. He paused for a second as he tested the words in his head. He wanted to thank her, and well now he could. He grinned and stated.

“Thank you for helping me! Master!”

Master?...

She probably didn’t hear it right? Her mind tried reeling in the facts and his comment. She tried absorbing the details that made sense and the details that her mind simply cannot process because of the sheer insanity in it.
One that there a neko in her presence, which last time she checked only exists in mangas and animes. And two… that the cat she rescued actually just called her master. Yes… the master wasn’t her imagination as much as she tried to look at every angle, his words were there.

And believe me when I said she examined every angle of it. There was no way she was hearing things… as much as she wanted to believe it was a fluke, the look on his face quickly dismissed the notion. Okay… she tried to reel in her thoughts on the matter. So… from what she gathered he was the cat. But… something poked at her mind, dragging it back to think. Hazel orbs stared at the cat boy in deep contemplation. She has a few choices here, kick him back outside and forget this ever happened or… hear his story and actually be the unsung hero.

If she goes for the first her conscience would forever weep if she goes for the second… well either way the work that’s going to be involve would be ginormous. Staring at the orange clad humanized cat she blinked, trying to make sense of it all like a perfectly civilized person. “Okay…so you’re the cat?” She asked, pointing towards him. “And you just called me master right?” She added, the same hazel eyes watched him. From the outside she maintained a calmed, curious look on the inside however…

Is a storm rampaging, dozens of mini Amaterasus rushed around filing everything. Everywhere, it was sheer chaos. She moved her lips to speak but her stomach beat her to it as it growled in displeasure. She blushed again, oh yeah… now that the girl remembered, she hadnt eaten dinner or breakfast. “Okay… my head is spinning and I want food, I’ll boggle my mind on it when I can think straight.” Grumbled Amaterasu, standing up she looked back at him. What does cats like again? “Uhm… do you eat omelets?” She asked again. “And for the record I’m not your master.”

….He didn’t even know what the heck an omelet was, Amaterasu nearly, and I do mean nearly had she not stopped her herself took a double step back and stare at him in disbelief. Every living human being ate it now in modern times. He didn’t know back in the old days, but certainly now in this modern age. She shook off the thought. Now, now… she berated herself mentally. The boy wasn’t a regular human.

Hell she didn’t even know his diet or if he’s allergic to something. The girl was taking a serious gamble here… on the other side she just wanted to grab some fish and feed him that. Cat’s like fish right? Mentally checking her mind for the information she nodded to herself. Right, cats love fish as they had been taught in preschool. “It’s basically egg with some vegetables sometimes bacon or ham or cheese on it.” She explained then paused when the boy wobbled on his legs.

Typical… the weakness hadnt surprised her. After being that injured she was rather shocked he could move now. “Hmm…” She murmured. Walking closer to him she gently supported him towards the bed. “Okay, sit here and don’t move too much. You’re probably still weak and recovering so don’t strain yourself. I’ll bring breakfast up and I’ll try to look for some leftover tuna from last night.” At least she hoped her mother did cook tuna like she said she would.

It’s hard to say really, sometimes her mother’s mind changes when she thinks of something else. Which is why… the young girl was already thinking of a backup plan just in case… She looked back at him then walked towards the door disappearing down stairs to look for food.

Downstairs was a picture of silence, the place cleaned just as her neat freak of a mother always does when she sees a speck of dirt. By now both of her parents left for their specific jobs—The thought paused in her mind when she saw a note stuck on the large mirror.

Well now, this she didn’t expect, plucking the note she skimmed through the contents only for her eyebrow to twitch.

’Gone for a five day business meeting, spare credit card is on the safe call if you need anything’

Love

Mom and dad’

Oh how typical…

At least she had the house to herself for awhile… gives her time to think of what to do with the neko. Crossing over to their modest kitchen she opened the fridge. Fish fish fish… Amaterasu silently muse. There on a pink Tupperware was it. Baked tuna smothered in yakitori sauce. Yum…

Taking it out she popped it in the microwave then prepared her own breakfast. What if he didn’t like it? A worried thought entered her mind. What if he couldn’t eat it? There goes another one. Well as she stated before this is a gamble. After everything was said and done, she placed the food in a tray then went back to her bedroom.

She seemed surprised by his lack of knowledge on the subject of omelettes. She had mentioned being hungry so he assumed it was food. However, he hadn’t had much else except fish in his life. That didn’t mean he wasn’t curious. Oh, he was curious. It was in his cat-like nature. She seemed to have paused for a moment while thinking before replying.

“It’s basically egg with some vegetables sometimes bacon or ham or cheese on it.”

Now all those words were confusing. In the same way they were very intriguing. He tried following after her again but the wobbling and pain was making it hard for him. He glared down at his bandages, again wondering what happened to his shirt. He greatly disliked his chest showing.

“Hmm…” She murmured. He looked back up at her as she walked closer to him and gently helped him. She brought him over to her bed as he looked at her with large confused eyes. [b]
“Okay, sit here and don’t move too much. You’re probably still weak and recovering so don’t strain yourself. I’ll bring breakfast up and I’ll try to look for some leftover tuna from last night.”

He was taken by her kindness, and obeyed automatically as if he were her pet. He plopped right down onto the comfortable covers on her bed. At the mention of tuna his ears perked up. “Tu...Tuna nyan!” now that was a word he knew and knew. He tried to jump back up excitedly, but fell back over with a ploof of the bed covers.

When he managed his way out of the sheets he saw she was gone and his ears drooped. Sitting on her bed he looked around at the room. It was new to him, but still very comfortable. She didn’t seem to be the “very girly” type, which was a relief. He didn’t much like frilly girly things, and shuddered at the thought of them. Swinging his legs back and forth, carefully, he thought about how he would thank her. He still had to do something amazing.

She was nice, he liked that. She had helped him when she could have left him behind. She saved his life, therefore the price must be equal a life for a life. So, why not give her his life? Hmmm now that was an idea but how. His ears twitched as he thought. He tugged on the vest flipping the zipper around his finger a few times. Hmm. He tilted his head and waved his tail, thinking about how he had greeted her before.

Maybe.... no, no that idea was silly idea. Right? Hearing her footsteps in the hallway, he jumped to alert and dropped the end of his vest. He grinned in excitement as soon as she entered. His mouth watered as he could smell the fishie smell. Ah~ It was always so breath taking. He loved fishies so much. The second he saw her come into view he stood up to run to her.

“Mast-“ He was cut off as he suddenly toppled over his feet and rolled on the ground, bumping into everything on the way.

Still… that confused look in his eyes.

That look alone was enough of a sign for the girl that he clearly didn’t know what she was talking about. Sweet lord… for someone who doesn’t even know what an omelet is, or the simple terms for the other basic food… she began to wonder just which parallel dimension did this cat come from?

So many questions swirled in her mind and none of them got any answers they wanted. She hadnt even asked the cat who clearly, even has trouble speaking. Oh boy… not only did she maybe have to teach the cat but she might have to teach him to speak as well?!

Amaterasu…was no patient teacher. That’s her downfall, she just wasn’t patient enough to teach. She knew it already as her teachers had stated before she needs to learn more patience. But heh, now it’s kicking her in the ass. As soon as the girl got to her room, the neko rushed up to her in one quick move. So fast, that her body froze, then… when he was a mere centimeter her body acted, placing the tray on a nearby surface she prepared herself to be hit.

Only… nothing came, hesitantly she opened her eye then… blinked when she saw the cat boy rolling on the ground. Well… what was she supposed to do? The girl watched in slight amusement then figuring she should help him place a foot out to stop him rolling over the place. “Uhm… as interesting as it is on rolling on the carpeted floor I might have to disagree.” She smirked. A tang of nervousness and maybe confusion still glimmered in her eyes.

She was still confused, a slightly worried on how she should handle this hell by all means she should be running around like a mindless chicken. But this time…she’ll take the civilized manner. “Besides here I thought you were hungry…” The girl left out a soft chuckle. Walking back to where she left the tray she picked it up then walked towards him. She placed the plate of tuna in front of him as well as a class of juice and a pair of chopsticks to eat it with. This at least she hoped the boy could use utensils. The thought remained. She kept an eye out on him as she proceeded to nibble on her omelet.

Gosh he felt like such a fool, tripping over himself and rolling on the floor the second she entered the room. What was he some kind of excited school girl? The problem with his momentum was that it was hard to stop once he started rolling. He was nearly thankful when her foot touched the ground in front of him causing the slightly painful “ride” to stop.

“Uhm… as interesting as it is on rolling on the carpeted floor I might have to disagree.” The girl said. He really needed to stop thinking of her as The Girl. She obviously has a name. He looked up and saw her smirking. He sat up dizzily making sure not to make a fool of himself in the process what kind of neko he would be if he did that.

Humans were honoured people in his home land, all the other nekojin he knew would kill to be in his place. Maybe it was destined seeing as how he was the one who looked most human, where the others had more fur covering their bodies or were entirely animalistic like a werecat. He himself was rare. She was speaking again as she went to get a tray he had missed her putting down. Oooooh it smelled sooo good. His stomach churned in excitement, he almost drooled.

“Besides here I thought you were hungry…” The girl left out a soft chuckle. She said as she placed a plate of tuna in front of him and a few other tools he knew not of. He found them curious but, the fish was distracting. He let out a sound of appreciation before leaning over the plate and sniffing at it.

“Ah!~ Thank-Nyan!” The aroma was heavenly. Oh sweet mother of tuna, it really is tuna! It was like a dream come true for him. The human girl had done so much for him, and now she rewarded him with tuna.

He knew what he would do then, what he would give to her, he could feel his familiar power surging within him. Yes, He was almost healed. Once he was he’d be able to properly thank her. But meanwhile there was tuna on his plate. Sweet, amazing, lovely tuna. It took all of him not to gobble it up right there. That would be rude however, and he wouldn’t be rude to her, not his new master, Yup, that was the plan. As he watched her he quickly learned how to eat with the chop sticks and grinned thinking of how happy she would be once he told her, that he had chosen her. Ah~ It’s been so long since I had one. A Master!.

Amaterasu Shizu

Cute,

Just so adorably cute, what else is the girl supposed to say while watching a cat-human boy tumbling around in her room? At least he didn’t slam into her desk. That laptop she has was not cheap and cost her a year worth of allowance just to get it. It was all worth it for the child…

Her gaming habits poked for a bit then vanished into the chasm that is her mind. A light chuckle popped from the child. “And here I thought cats were quick on their feet.” She commented, an air of humor and maybe a tad bit of amusement. As she ate her meal she couldn’t help but look back at the cat. So she was right… Amaterasu sighed internally. He loved tuna, and the other ingredients in it weren’t making him sick.

That’s a good sign right?

Damn… she made a note to get a book about cats from the library later in the day. “Sure no problem, just gonna have to figure out what else you like.” She chuckled softly, oh yeah… another thought popped in her head. She needed to shop for groceries later in the day as well. “Remind me to get more tuna later then…” she mused out, not really caring if the guy heard her or not. Popping in another fork full of the omelet she watched him eat. “By the way…” She paused, not really sure how she should proceed with this.

Everything was just so… freaky, yeah that’s it. The girl ran a hand through her red silky locks. She’s never been in a situation one would only see out of the manga. And here she was, stuck in that situation. “Name’s are in order right? I’m Amaterasu, just call me Ame for short and don’t you dare call me Asu.” She said with a light smirk.

Now it was the boy’s turn to do the introductions. He at least could speak, so that meant the language barrier got chopped down a bit… A bit, which is a good thing for the young red-head as she did not have the patients to merit to be a teacher.

“And here I thought cats were quick on their feet.” the girl commented almost like she could laugh. Kataro would have flushed with embarrassment if it wasn’t for the delicious tuna he was eating. It tasted a bit different, seeing as how it was covered in some sort of sauce. However, he enjoyed it all the same.

“Sure no problem, just gonna have to figure out what else you like.” She replied to his thanks with a soft chuckle. He observed her eat the omelette and wondered if he would like it much. Since, it didn’t have fish in it. “Remind me to get more tuna later then…” The girl added. He grinned into his fish, so she was inviting him to stay. At least, that’s how he took it,. All the more the reason for him to give her the gift he wanted to.

“By the way…” She started. He looked up his ears, twitching once at the sound of her voice. He liked it, she had a nice voice. It was unlike his previous masters. She paused and started to run her fingers through her hair. He gave her his full attention, waiting for her to speak.
Now, all he really needed was her name. Then he could seal the deal, and make the contract with her. Oh, he was soo exicted.

“Name’s are in order right? I’m Amaterasu, just call me Ame for short and don’t you dare call me Asu.” He couldn’t believe it, he had just been wondering what her name was and she had answered merely seconds after. It was, just like magic! He grinned and bowed his head in understanding. He tested the name a few times in his head not wanting to mispronounce it in his coming spell.

He pushed the plate aside and sat in front of her on his knees. With a finger he lightly traced a seemingly invisible circle, although to those magical like him, it would appear to be made of light. Once he was done he wrote the kanji for Amaterasu on her end and then his own name, Kataro on the other.

When he was done he looked up and gave her a large grin. “Kataro Nyow!” he said and lifted up his hand from the circle. Only one more thing was needed, a sign of affection. Ame had given much affection to him, so he needed to return it. “Nice ta meet chu Master Ame! nyan!~” . Placing one hand in the middle of the circle and leaning over it, to place the other on her cheek he brushed his face against it in a very cat like manner. The room lit up and the contract was complete. Kataro backed up and grinned again.

“I will do whatever Master wishes Nyan!~”

Amaterasu Shizu

This just couldn’t get any weirder… She tried to reason with the best of her logics. It cant get any worse than having to face a neko of all thing eating right beside her. But really Amaterasu didn’t mind. That’s the main reason she’s so relax right now. She twirled the chopstick in her hand the in one quick move plucked a bit of mushroom from her plate.

From the looks of it, the cat… really is innocent to all things human. She smiled softly, she didn’t know why but she found it adorable. No, she shook of the thought furiously. Bad girl, she needed to think of her dilemma here. Her parents didn’t even know she brought a guy into her room much less a half cat half human one. Before her mind had a chance to wonder around Kataro finally spoke in a bright, exited voice.

She watched curiously as the cat boy moved his hands to something she couldn’t even see, she squinted her eyes, only for something white and blurry to past by her sight.

The…. She blinked in disbelief, it must be a trick of the light. Yeah that was it. She reassured herself and after calming down a bit proceeded to look back at the cat boy. “Kataro-kun nice to meet you then—“ The words died down on her throat when a bright flash of light blinded her. “KYAH!” yelped the child in surprise, she dropped the plate she had on her carpet as she proceeded to shield her ears.

“Nice ta meet chu Master Ame! nyan!~”

The voice spoke again, hesitantly she opened her eyes to see the cat boy standing above her. Her eyes were wide with surprise, stunned froze her body as she tried to find the voice to speak. Bluntly she didn’t know what the heck happened here, she barely heard the boy call her his master. Her mind tried to make sense of all of this, but it just couldn’t… none of the logical explanations she has worked on this matter. So in a sense the girl was stumped. “W-What happened?” She stuttered the surprise clear on her voice since she didn’t bother to hide it.

Like most humans would react Ame did the same. It was no surprise to Kataro. She, after all probably had nothing to do with magic before. It all made him grin slightly, revealing his cat-like teeth as he laughed lightly with glee. He loved it, being what he was. He especially loved when he had a master to help out, although, his previous ones weren’t that good.

Kataro was a genie of sorts, but in the same way, also not. He could grant wishes, but there was no limit, and he didn’t live in a lamp. He could grant any wish there was. It made him quite the powerful ally. There was only one limitation… Ame’s eyes were wide in shock and Kataro knelt so as to try and calm her.

It was all a normal reaction to first being exposed to magic. She seemed to be trying to make sense of it all, and Kataro let the light about them die and fade out, bringing them back to the normalcy of her room. “W-What happened?” She stuttered. The look she had was soo cute, Kataro couldn’t stand it. His new Master was quite adorable. He grinned and settled himself down in front of her to explain calmly.

“Magic happened Master nyan!~” he exclaimed. ”In exchange for your kindness, Kat-ar-o has decided to help you! Kat-ar-o can grant wishes you see! Anything nyaa, anything in the world nyan!” He grinned again with his ears pointing up straight and tail waving in the air. He hoped it was not too hard for her to accept, and he hoped he had explained it well enough. For, if she were to reject him after the contract the consequences would be severe for him. It was a thing all feared and was worse than just objection itself.

He placed his hands together further adding. ”Isn’t there anything you always wanted to do nya? Someone you want to meet or missed and wanted to see nyan? I can grant you anything you see!”
