Introduction
Perhaps the only notable landmark of our fishing community are the Docks, which lead directly into Lake Michigan. It's ironic how water - the essence of life, is all that separates us between this forsaken inferno and safety.
Before things escalated to this point, we referred to it as the "Infection." Somewhere uptown, a group of vicious and unprovoked murders occurred overnight that shook the foundations of our, usually, quaint and quiet township - Bayside. Bayside is a relatively suburb and fishing community on the outskirts of Chicago. It houses about 80,000 people in an area approximately 50 square miles. This was about 4 days ago and now all of uptown is desecrated and infested. The rioting, looting, violence and killings soon coalesced in the uptown area and began to spread to other parts of the city. Strangely enough, the murders kept growing in number and the police force was sent out, but unable to deal with such an ordeal. It's been 3 days since anybody has seen or heard the police force.
There are no survivors uptown, but the few that managed to escape are now holed up in various strongholds throughout the downtown area of Bayside.
We hear them clawing at the doors and trying to get in. I periodically pinch myself just in case the first ten pinches didn't wake me up. What exactly are they? Zombies? That seems too...horror movie-esque to be a fit description. I don't know the name of the person I'm with, but I look across the room and this person looks equally terrified. There's strength in numbers and sometime yesterday, while running through the streets, our gaze met and, without words, we knew what we had to do.
There's a way out of this store, but is there any point? Where are we going to run to? Nowhere is safe.
I'm sure everyone is equally bored of the typical Zombie Apocalypse RP where everything down to the storyline is exactly the same as the previous one. I'm not promising anything revolutionary, but I am promising a few key differences which will force you to rethink the way in which you RP this, often times, cliché genre.
First of all:
-No guns.
-Average Joes and Janes only. No cops,no ex-military men, no wizard or warlocks.
-This RP will heavily rely on the Map. Depending on how the RP shapes out, certain areas will be accessible and others will be off-limits (unless you have a death wish.)
-Realism-heavy.
-Nobody starts off together/in a group. If you want to ally yourself with someone in the RP, you must work for it.
-Characters will actually die for once (at my discretion, of course.)

Day 2,
Nobody knows how it all started and I'm not sure anybody gives a shit. All I know is that I'm still alive...

It looks like the fog is coming in from the docks...
