"I've been betrayed before. And you are not about to do it to me, too."

0 · 207 views · located in Teenage Love

a character in “Summer Love”, as played by ZoeyAutopsyx

Description

Image
Name: Kellan Aleksander Ivanov
Nickname(s): Kelly
Birthday/Age: Came into this world on November 27th, and is currently eighteen years of age.
Appearance: Kelly is a rather thin guy, and stands at about 5'12, so he is fairly tall. He is pale in skin tone, the type of pale that suggests he is anemic and under-fed. His hair is considered 'scene', the color being jet-black. His bangs cover up his emotionless, brown eyes most of the time, and he has several piercings, including: size 12 gauges in both of his ears, snakebites, and a septum piercing. His style mostly consists of skinny jeans, band shirts, and his two gun necklaces, as well as his cross necklace, both things that he has recieved from Brandon. The red Vans on his feet are his signature trade mark, and it is easy to recognize him since he wears them every day of his existance. Kelly's style is considered "Rocker", and he intends to keep it that way.
Personality: Kelly is what people consider to be a "Damaged Child." From a young age, he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, but his life has been anything but stable since the diagnosis. With his anger issues, Kelly pushes away anyone who attempts to help him. It is rare that a day passes without him having severe mood changes. Kelly is an extreme introvert, and in fact spends most of his time in his apartment. The only times he goes out are during the night, and when he has to make a drug deal. He does not like giving anyone chances, because he knows it will end up with people betraying him. He sees society as two things: Evil and Selfish. He feels most comfortable when it's just him, Brandon, a bottle of Daniels, and all the drugs he could take in one night. To simply put it, Kelly is one of the most fucked up, unreliable, unstable people you will meet. That is, if you even get a chance to talk to him.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Likes/:
  • Smoking blunts or cigarettes
  • Staying up for as long as possible
  • Jack Daniels
  • Being in control
  • The Night
Dislikes:

Background: Kellan was born and raised in California, and has lived with his Dad his whole life. His mom died young so he doesn't remember her, and his Dad has been in and out of jail his whole life, so Kelly has been a ward of the state several times. Kelly himself has been convicted of several felonies, and has been to juvy more than once. He started experimenting with drugs as early as 8th grade, and the only person who he has ever considered a friend is Brandon. Not only this, Kelly dropped out of school his Junior year, and does not intend on doing anything school-related ever again. Because of his mental illness, he does burn himself as well as cut, and dehydrate himself constantly, because of his hate for water.

So begins...

Brandon -

As soon as he pulled away from Camden, he heard her say those two beautiful French words, then watched as she blacked out, slumped into his arms. "Shit," he cursed quietly, although there was no reason for the lowered volume. Picking her up the right away, he made his way to his room, then gently set her down on his bed, brushing strands of her hair out of her face with one of his hands, then kissed her forehead gently before looking at her once more. "Everything's fine, it's gonna be just fine," he whispered, taking a hold of one of her hands and sitting next to her, watching as her chest moved up and down.

Then there were two distinct knocks at the door, two knocks that said he was here. Letting go of her hand, Brandon leaned down once more and kissed Camden's cheek sweetly before walking out, closing the door to his room and looking ahead, ready to face what came next.

Kellan -

After knocking on the door twice, Kelly waited. He sensed someone coming closer from the other side, then put on his best smile when Brandon opened the door. "Evening, my dear," Kelly purred.

"Kelly. Pleasure," Brandon replied, but the tone in his voice suggested that the visit was anything but that. Kelly looked him up and down, then walked in casually, shoving both of his hands in his back pockets.

"Had fun tonight?" he asked, and watched as Brandon shrugged.

"Not really."

"I see you met someone."

"What's it to you?" Brandon questioned, and Kelly thought he heard aggravation in his voice. Losing the smile he had planted on his face the whole time, Kelly looked at Brandon, flipping the hair out of his eyes for once so Brandon could get the full effect of his stare.

"Listen, you told me to come over tonight. YOU told me to bring the damn entertainment. Well, I brought it, so why are you dumping your pants?" Kelly pressed on, crossing his arms over his shoulders. Brandon returned his gaze equally, then looked in the direction of his room. Instantly, Kelly got the idea and smirked. "Oh..I see...you have a girlfriend now so you're too good for me. Well, I don't intend on leaving...you know that, Brandon."

Brandon didn't say anything for a while, and the next time he looked at Kelly, he was two steps away from him. "Kelly, I really don't feel like doing this tonight, just go home," Brandon started, but Kelly shut him up by gripping his jaw a little too forcefully, and forcing him to look into his eyes.

"Listen, Brandon. You're not ruining what we have. You are not about to leave me for some girl you just met less than twelve hours ago. Clear? Good. I'll go home. But I'll be back." With that being said, Kelly released his hold on Brandon, then stormed out, slamming the door behind him and leaving nothing but quiet.

Kellan -

After about ten minutes of waiting, Kelly finally found the strength to fully sit up. "Why the FUCK won't you text me back, you fucking douche bag," he screamed at nothing, knowing that it wouldn't do him any good. Dragging himself out of his room and into the hall, Kelly stumbled as he stood up, then finally found his balance, even though he had to lean against the wall for support. He realized he was sweating and that his face was still hot. "What the fuck, this is ridiculous," he started saying over and over, shaking his head and walking slowly to the living room, where he laid down on the couch. His vision was blurry at the edges, but he quickly got used to it.

Brandon -

Brandon felt the heat rise in his cheeks when Camden told him she loved him. Looking down at the ground, he bit his lip slightly, then looked back up at her. "I love you, too." He glanced at the time on his phone then looked back up at her. "Oh, and if you really think you can practice today, then you should...but I don't want you to do any further damage to your ribs." A worried expression crossed his face as he said this, but was soon replaced by a half-smile. "Wanna go out in the city? I think we should drop by Kelly's house. Maybe he really is in trouble. Who knows. I don't wanna risk anything."

He quickly grabbed the keys to his car off the coffee table, then shoved them in his back pocket which also contained his phone.

Brandon -

As Brandon walked to the door, he knocked twice, much like Kelly would knock on his door on a regular basis. He then realized that Kelly, being as dumb as he is, never locked his door. Grasping the doorknob, he twisted it and pushed it open. Walking in, he noticed that no lights were on in the house. "KELLY, where the fuck are you," he hollered while still holding into Camden's hand. Turning to her, he muttered, "This is some sort of joke, I'm telling you..."

Kellan -

Hearing Brandon's voice call out in the hall, Kelly looked up from the hardwood floor. "I'm in the living room, darling," he replied in a nonchalant voice, then rested his head back down onto the floor. He watched as Brandon ran in, then his vision once again turned black for a couple moments. As Brandon picked him up off the floor and sat him up, Kelly coughed.

"What the FUCK did you do?!" Brandon exclaimed, and it was easy to detect the worried look in his brown eyes. Kelly laughed at the question, but soon stopped when he was short of breath. He felt Brandon laying him back down onto the cold floor, brush the hair out of his eyes, then watched as he left the room. Turning his head sideways, Kelly noticed Brandon's girlfriend in the hall.

"Oh, it's YOU," was all he said before closing his eyes. When Brandon returned, he was carrying a bottle of water and a cold washcloth. Setting the items on the ground, he picked Kelly up and laid him on the couch, then put the washcloth over his forehead.

"Now you need to drink this," Brandon said, opening the water bottle and lifting Kelly's head up in the crook of his arm. Despite his hatered for water, he allowed Brandon to hold the bottle up to his lips, and as soon as he felt the liquid go down his throat, Kelly felt ten times better. By the time he was finished, Kelly realized that he drank almost the entire bottle. "You're suffering from dehydration....you weren't gonna die," Brandon sighed. "I know you hate water, but honestly, Kelly...don't do this to me."

Kelly didn't say anything for the longest time, just stared into Brandon's brown eyes.

Brandon -

"He's fine...he is gonna be just fine," Brandon replied, both to Camden and to Kelly to re-assure him. Brushing more hair out of Kelly's face, Brandon then took the washcloth off his forehead to feel the skin. It was getting better, at least at the moment. Running into the kitchen, he wet the washcloth again, then brought it back, setting it back where it was on Kelly's forehead. "Listen, finish the rest of this water and then drink another one if you must. You can't rely on alcohol to quench your thirst," Brandon said.

He heard Kelly laugh, or at least attempt to laugh. "Okay, okay, I will, Kotlov."

"I'm not kidding," Brandon warned.

"Neither am I."

With that quick exchange, Brandon stood up, looking down at Kelly. "Where's your phone?" He waited for Kelly to give him an answer, but instead he just pointed in the direction of his room. Brandon got the idea, then walked the short distance to Kelly's room, and saw his cellphone on the hardwood floor. A couple feet away, he saw a shattered Daniel's bottle, as well as drops of blood outlining the floor. God fucking damn, Kelly... Grabbing the phone, he walked back into the living room, then handed it to Kelly. "Listen, if you need ANYTHING, you call me. Don't do something else stupid. I can't have your death hanging over my head, Kelly."

He gave Kelly one final gaze before he walked back to Camden, taking her hand and leading her out the door, down the stairs, and all the way outside without saying a word.

Kellan -

Kellan listened to everything Brandon had said to him, not bothering to put up an argument. Even if he had the energy to do so, he wouldn't have said anything. After Brandon walked out with the girl, Kellan sat up, holding on to the washcloth so it wouldn't fall off his forehead. He then reached for the water bottle, twisting the cap off and bringing it to his lips. In a matter of seconds, he had finished the remaining water.

"Why did you have to leave..." he then asked, looking down at the ground. He didn't expect an answer, but the silence in the room still made his heart ache.

(That is so sad, yet powerful.<3)

Kellan -

An hour of constant water drinking and power napping had left Kellan feeling better than he previously did. Getting up off the couch, he removed the wet washcloth that Brandon had placed on his forehead. He stretched his arms and torso, then grabbed his phone and stuffed it into his back pocket. His face didn't feel completely hot anymore, but it was still warmer than what was considered normal.

After grabbing another drink of water, Kelly walked out the door and into the hall, then down the stairs. He wasn't going to be cooped up in his apartment all damn day. When he got outside, the heat from the sun seemed to radiate into his pores. "This is why I don't fucking go out during the day," he grumbled to himself, beginning to walk down the street in the direction of the beach.

Brandon -

"Hmmm...here, how about this," Brandon said as he pulled Camden in the direction of the water. Facing her, he held the camera with his right hand so that he could catch the ocean waves in the background. "Bite your lip while smiling slightly..you know, kinda look down at the ground in a shy manner while I hold your face. I think this would look great in Black and White," he mused, chuckling softly.

Brandon -

"Trust me, after they get put into black and white and we change the lighting a little, they will be PERFECT," Brandon said, taking one of Camden's hands while gazing down at her. "Like you. I think I have found my offical photography partner. This day is just getting better and better," he winked at her, then leaned down and kissed her cheek gently. He was going to say something else until he saw someone walking down the sidewalk out of the corner of his eyes. Without even thinking, he knew it was Kelly.

"Oh, GREAT," he muttered, grasping Camden's hand tighter and turning around, facing the water.

Kellan -

It was easy to spot Brandon and his girlfriend on the beach, fooling around with a camera. Too easy, Kelly thought to himself, walking at a steady pace. Shoving his hands in his jeans pockets, he decided he would keep on walking and not disturb them...at least for now. I can't win my Brandon with HER being around, his mind said. And it was right. He would need to be two steps ahead of them.

Brandon -

Turning back around when he thought it would be safe, Brandon caught sight of Kellan walking away. "What a fucking freak," he cursed under his breath, then looked back at Camden, hearing her say something about not being perfect.

Smirking, he hugged her. "Ahh, but it is your imperfections that make you perfect in my eyes," he mused, then took the camera away from her. "Here, be a model again and go stand on those rocks, right where the waves hit perfectly. Just extend your arms towards the sky and scream anything you want. Feel free. I'm thinking this could be an amazing shot," he smiled.

Kellan -

Kelly walked at a steady pace, not turning back until he reached the abandoned building where most of his drug dreals went on. He remembered when it used to be an antique store, up until the owner got shot and two weeks later, the place was history. Walking around the back, he kicked the door open, then walked in to find his friend, Jamie, was already there.

"Haven't seen you in a while, Ivanov. Where's your lover?" she asked nonchalantly. Kellan rolled his eyes, then glared at her.

"Not here."

"Hmm," she thought, then shrugged. "Shit happens."

Kellan -

Already getting fed up with Jamie's attitude, Kellan glared at her, balling up his fists. "I don't have time for this bullshit. I need to borrow your knife."

Not looking away from his eyes, Jamie gave him an odd look, resting both of her hands on her petite waist. "What are you talking about."

"You know exactly what the fuck I am talking about."

After a minute of thinking, Jamie laughed her musical laugh. "Okay. Fair enough." Taking out a studded pocket knife and tossing it in Kelly's direction, she pointed at him with her free hand. "Better give it back, though."

Kelly smirked. "Don't worry about it." With those final words, he walked out of the abandoned store, not once looking back.

Brandon -

After Brandon had taken the picture, Camden ran back up to him and started kissing him. Wrapping his arms around her, he raised his eyebrows as she said she had something to show him. When he pulled away from her lips again, he smirked. "What is it?"

(Hah, I have that picture on my Facebook! :D)

Brandon -

Brandon knew he had kissed Camden for at least two minutes. He pulled away slowly, giving her air to breathe, but still held on to her waist with both of his hands. "Well, after that ugly episode, what should we do? The day is young..." His left hand found it's way up her back, and he smirked down at her, biting his lip.

He had hoped quietly that he wasn't making Camden feel uncomfortable, because in his past he had managed to make a few girls walk away from him by becoming too "touchy-touchy", or so they said.

Kellan -

Walking down the street the way he had came, it took all of Kellan's will power not to turn back around to give Brandon and Camden another piece of his mind. The little bitch actually had the balls to tell HIM, to get off her property. "Ahh, but payback's a BITCH," Kelly muttered to himself, clutching the knife he had retrieved from Jamie in his right hand. He wasn't exactly sure what he would have done with it, either way. Stab Camden? Okay, then what. Stab Brandon--NO!

He couldn't do that. He wouldn't do that. His heart, or what was left of it, would not allow it. But it is a last resort... his mind echoed, against his will.

Ignoring that thought, he made his way back to the abandoned building where he had met up with Jamie. Walking through the doors, sure as Hell, she was still there, sitting on what used to be a check out conter. "How'd that one go? Got your boy back?" she asked in her nonchalant voice.

"Obviously not," Kelly spat out, tossing the knife on the floor in her general direction.

"You think I'm pickin that up?" Jamie asked, looking at him through her make-up caked eyes and popping a bubble with her gum.

"Either you do it or it stays there."

Kellan -

Jamie glared at Kellan, and sneered at his comment, but she said nothing more. The bitch was smart enough not to test his patience. "Listen, I need Brandon, Jamie. I KNOW HIM. You think she can give him what he wants? You think she can keep up with him? She can never do what I do for him," he rambled on, beginning to pace back and fourth in front of the counter while Jamie just watched him.

"Listen, do you maybe only want Brandon because he's someone else's--"

"HE IS NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!" Kelly exploded before Jamie could finish, then watched her as she jumped back, shocked by his outburst.

"OKAY, I'm sorry!" she retorted, frowning as he began pacing again.

Brandon -

"You've gotta be kidding me, right, Camden?! Of course I would care if he hurt you! You're my entire world, why wouldn't I care?!" Brandon asked her, shocked. He then shifted his weight on his right arm as he sat up, looking down at her. "Please stop crying," he frowned, wiping her tears away gently. "I wish I could say something to make you feel better...like he won't come, or he won't hurt any of us...but I have no way of knowing this. And I feel guilty for even pursuing you, because look at what I am bringing into your life. I wish I was like other normal guys who can just sweep you off your feet, Camden..." he sighed.

Kellan -

"You should be sorry, you dumb cunt," Kellan growled at Jamie, who just sat there and continued to take in his insults without saying a word. He finally stopped pacing and sat next to Jamie on the counter, looking towards the door which he had came in. He noticed her moving back from the corner of his eye, and his lips turned upwards into what could be said to be a smirk. "Are you scared of me?" He asked quietly, turning so that he was facing her.

"No..." she trailed off, but it was obvious how big of a lie that was. Kellan's smirk then got wider, and he reached out to grab Jamie's face with his left hand.

"You know, it really won't help lying to me."

"OKAY! So maybe I am lying! What the FUCK does it matter to you--" before Jamie could finish speaking, Kelly squeezed her jaw even tighter, then flung out his arm in a wild fashion sending Jamie spiraling towards the floor with a big thud.

"Don't EVER yell at me."

A quiet 'okay' was the only response he got.

Brandon sat up as Camden woke up, then nodded to her statement. "I know. I just wish I was tired," he sighed, unsure of whether to get up or stay where he was.
The flashback which he had just come out of was still in his mind. That kiss. The meaning behind it.

His phone ringing was what brought him back to reality. Reaching into his pocket, he took out the black iPhone, then pressed talk and put it up to his ear. "Hello, Kelly."

"Hello, Brandon." The voice on the other end sounded strained, quiet. Brandon was not used to Kelly calling him by his first name, it had always been 'Kotlov' from the beginning.

"What do you want?" Brandon asked, exhausted.

"To talk to you."

"We are talking."

"In person."

The next few mintues were spent in quiet, Brandon unsure of what to say and Kelly waiting for the answer. "...Okay, fine. I'll talk to you in person. But please, Kelly, no bullshit. You're killing me."

"You don't think you're killing me, babe? You don't think I'm hurt beyond belief?"

"Just stop the over-dramatic speech, I'll meet you in thirty. I'll text you the location." And with that being said, Brandon hung up the phone.

Brandon -

Watching as Camden ran to look the for the pocket knife, Brandon ran a hand through his hair and exhaled. His nerves were through the roof, and he was beginning to suffer the symptoms of withdrawal. Trying to look past the headache that was beginning to pound through his temples, he looked up again to find Camden come back, wearing his sweatshirt. "Why the hell do you need that...? It's hot as hell..."

He shook his head as she handed him a red pocket knife, then looked down at it, swinging it from hand to hand to feel the weight. It would do, at least in this situation. But could you really use it if it came down to it...could you hurt Kelly? Ignoring the question his mind had asked, he looked back down at Camden. Something wasn't right, but Brandon didn't have the time to think about it. Hugging Camden one final time, he made his way to the door, then walked out, shutting it with a single thud.

Kellan -

Upon recieving Brandon's text message, Kellan smirked down at his phone. Thankfully, he was already at their place of meeting. With Jamie gone, Kellan had the whole place to himself, it would be just him and Brandon. Hopping off the counter, Kelly looked from the window back down to his phone. What exactly would he even say? What WAS there to say? He hoped silently that the words would just come by themselves when Brandon arrived. Whipping out a cigarette from his pack followed by his lighter, Kelly muttered to himself "Such bullshit....this shouldn't even be happening right now..."

It took several tries for him to light it before he took a drag, then blew the smoke out in the air above him. Then, Brandon walked in, closing the door behind him and looking at Kelly. "Hello..."

"Hey, babe," Kelly responded quietly, twisting the cigarette between his index finger and thumb like Brandon often did himself. He bit his lip and watched as Brandon stepped closer to him, then sat on the counter where Kelly previously sat.

"What the hell's happening, Kelly."

"I don't know, you tell me. You're the one walking around with a new girlfriend, not even telling me shit. I thought we were in this together, but NO, instead you do this to me?" Kelly exclaimed, turning to he was looking at Brandon directly. "I just want you back by my side--"

"Why, so you can treat me like DIRT? You don't think I don't remember the shit you did?" Brandon replied, his face impossibe to read.

"I know you remember...but I want to make it up to you..." Kelly purred, then stepped closer to Brandon and set both his hands on either side of the counter top so that Brandon wouldn't jump off. Reaching up and closing the space between them, Kelly kissed Brandon, hard.

Brandon -

Before Brandon could reply to Kelly's statement, he felt Kelly's lips on his. For that moment, all he felt was Kelly; all he knew was Kelly. As Kelly kept kissing him, Brandon didn't exactly register what was occuring. Maybe he thought that it wasn't happening at all. Maybe this was all some dream that he would soon wake up from. Bringing his hands up, Brandon cupped Kelly's beautiful face and pulled away from him, resting his forehead against the other boy's and closing his eyes.

"I can't let you go..." Kelly said quietly. "Brandon, I'd rather DIE than be without you. What am I supposed to do without you? Please tell me."

Brandon waited a long time before answering his genius answer. "....I don't know."

"Of course," Kelly laughed a weak laugh, then cupped Brandon's face into his hands, gazing up at him and biting his lip. "You have my heart. Do you KNOW how much that heart has been through? It's been dropped, shattered, thrown around, beaten, danced on...and yet somehow it still beats...for you."

It was Brandon's turn to be stunned. In all the years he had known Kellan, through the good and the bad, he had never heard him speak like this. Not once. "I--"

"Don't say anything, babe...just enjoy the silence..."

Kellan -

It shouldn't have been a surpise that Brandon's girlfriend would walk in at a time like this. It occurs in just about every Romantic Tragedy ever written. Backing away from Brandon, Kelly looked at Camden. She was wearing his hoodie. Rolling his eyes, he backed away and sat on the counter about half a foot away from Brandon. He wasn't going to say anything, at least not to her.

Brandon -

As soon as he heard Camden's voice intrude over the silence, Brandon looked over at the door to find her standing there, still wearing his sweat shirt. She looked ghostly pale, the kind of pale that suggests one would be anemic. Pulling away from Kelly, he hopped off the counter and kept his gaze on her. "Camden, what did you do...why are you pale...why are you wearing that--" Stopping in mid sentence, Brandon suddenly understood everything. Balling up his fists, he looked down at the ground, his mind becoming a jumble of different emotions.

Brandon didn't take his eyes off the ground for about five full minutes, and by the time he did, he realized Camden had left. Looking around, he let out a breath and looked at Kelly, who just shrugged as if he had no idea what was even happening. And truth be told, he didn't. He didn't know about Camden's cutting problem. "I thought she would stop."

"What? Being annoying?"

"NO, cutting herself," Brandon snapped, then sent Kelly an apolagetic look. "I guess some things never change."

"Yeah, like my love for you," Kellan replied smoothly. Brandon hated how well his words fit into that statement. WHY did they fit so perfectly, as if it was all a big puzzle that was yet to be completed? Sinking down to the ground, Brandon sat with his back against the counter, looking up at nothing.

"Yeah. Like that..."

Brandon -

By the time Camden finished speaking, Brandon had nothing left to say. He couldn't even look at her, or at Kelly. The headache that was beginning to form before he had arrived at the abandoned building was pounding full blast through his head by now, and he was thankful for the lack of light in the room. He noticed Kelly hop off the counter from the corner of his eye, and looked up to see him cross his arms over his chest. "Who's it going to be, Brandon?"

Brandon couldn't exactly say that the question caught him off-guard. In fact, he was expecting such a question from Kelly. It was a fair question, after all. But it wasn't a fair one. Brandon had made his choice a while ago. Standing up and walking over to Camden, he tilted her face up so that she was looking into his brown set of eyes. "Camden...you've got to stop hurting yourself...please realize that you're enough...you're more than enough. I can't give you my love and my heart if you're just going to bleed it out through self-inflicted wounds," he breathed, then leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"You've got to be kidding me," Kelly scoffed, then angrily made his way towards the door, looking back at Brandon as his hand twisted the door knob. "You're seriously going to pick some bitch over me. HONESTLY. After all I've given you? I'll be back." With those words being said, Kellan walked out, slamming the door as hard as he could behind him.

Kellan -

As soon as Kelly walked out of the damned abandoned building, he began to run, where ever his legs would lead him. But soon after about five minutes of running, or so he estimated, his lungs began to give out on him, and he had to stop just to catch his breath. Cupping both his hands over his mouth, he coughed about three times before leaning over. He closed his eyes, trying to reason through every breath he took, which stung his lungs and his ribcage. He then chose to sat down against a stone wall, which didn't do much, but at least this way he didn't have to waste energy standing up.

"I love you, Brandon, I FUCKING LOVE YOU, and this is what you do to me?! This is what you make of my heart?!" he started yelling up at the sky, not caring who could possibly walk by and mistake him for a psycho. Or maybe he was Psycho and they were right to think so.

Brandon -

As Camden spoke to him, Brandon looked away from her gaze, feeling his eyes start to burn from the tears that desperately wanted to fall. Blinking twice, he began pacing around, then took out the pocket knife that Camden had given him and set it down on the counter where Kelly had previously sat. "...I can't hurt him. I can't even think about hurting him. Camden, tell me, how do I forget about him? How can I forget about someone that's been part of my life for so long? If something happens to him and that was the last thing I said to him, I could never forgive my self for it," he choked out the last words, the tears finally winning.

"...I feel so torn apart. I can't watch you hurt yourself...I just can't," he said quietly when he trusted his voice again, then looked down at the floor. "He fucking stole my heart," Brandon said, then angrily pounded his fist on the counter top. "I can't be with him or without him. What kind of a fucked up situation is this."

Brandon -

Brandon didn't realize Camden had left until he heard the door slam closed, leaving him alone in the building with nothing but silence to fill the air. Looking around, he chose to follow her out, then ran down the street, trying to catch up to her. Eventually, both Kellan and Camden came into sight, and Brandon slowed down to a walk just as she tossed his hoodie to him and began walking again. He was going to yell after her. He was going to catch up to her. But looking down at Kellan then, his heart tightened itself into a little ball. Walking over to him and closing the remaining feet that stood between them, Brandon sat down next to him against the wall, throwing his hoodie to the side.

"Kelly..." He didn't look up. Brandon frowned and tried again. "Kelly, talk to me." Looking over, he realized Kelly had his eyes closed, his head leaning upwards while it was resting against the wall.

"I'm tired, Brandon," he replied quietly, beginning to sound child-like, which sent Brandon into panic mode.

"What do you mean?! KELLY, look at me" Brandon exclaimed, pulling Kelly down in his lap and cupping his face into his hands. "WHAT'S WRONG?!"

"I haven't slept in three days, geez, calm down," Kelly retorted sleepily, which immediately took ten thousand pounds off of Brandon's shoulders.

"Oh..." was all he said as he watched Kelly fall asleep, right there in his arms.

As Kelly was sleeping, Brandon looked down to examine his features, then remembered how long it had been since he really stared at Kelly. He had forgotten how beautiful he really was, with his full lips, jet black hair, his piercings...for once, he showed no signs of purple bags under his eyes, indicating that he hasn't had any recent overdoses. He looked at peace, his chest moving up and down with every breath he took. Running his fingertips through Kelly's hair, Brandon then stared out at nothing, once again listening to the silence. Thinking of the future now would have been as good of a time as any, but he couldn't see the future, a day from now or even an hour from now. It was like a winding road, and he would let his heart do the driving through it.

But what the hell's your heart telling you...? his mind questioned. Laughing to himself, he shook his head. The heart and mind could never settle on one thing. More flashbacks flooded into Brandon's mind, of just a year ago when he had made a list of everything he loved about Kellan.

His laugh. The way he scrunches his nose when he's thinking. His smart comments about life. The way he bites his lip when he's confused, which is all the time. His hugs. His kisses. Thinking about it now, he realized how cheesy it had been. But it helped him realize a lot that night. As he looked from the sky to the street, Brandon noticed a person walking up, then soon came to figure out that it was Camden. He didn't say anything as he watched her pick up something off the ground, probably her phone, then listened as she made a phone call to what seemed to be a cab company.

Should he have said something? Who knows. What was there to say, though? He had let her down. But then again, he had also let Kelly down. Either way he would have gone, he would have ended up damaging someone in the end. "WHY does it have to be like this," he burst out, biting his lip.

Brandon nodded to himself as Camden spoke of Kelly being in love with him, it was nothing new. Yet all he could do was listen as she talked, he didn't know how to interupt or say something to make her feel better. He was never the type to try to perk people up in their time of sadness...but this sadness was caused by him. She then spoke of her parent's house, and Brandon's eyes instantly shot up at her. "I know you can't honestly go back there. It's hell for you, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out, Camden," he sighed.

As her cab pulled up, Brandon frowned as she said the words "Bye Kotlov." For some reason, those words did not sound right coming out of her mouth, calling him by his last name which he was so used to. It was always 'Brandon' with her...

He jumped when she bolted back out of the cab car and ran away. "What the f--" he began saying, then stood up, setting Kelly against the wall. Thoug he was still asleep, his body sat upright the right way. Walking over to Camden, he looked down at her. "I bet you think I am the biggest douche bag, Camden...I know you can never understand this situation, because you're not in my shoes...but what would you do...? HE," Brandon stopped, gesturing to Kelly a couple feet away, "Is NEVER going to let me go. I should have realized this so much sooner and not have been in denial..."

"In denial about the fact that Kelly will magically forget about me and let me live my life. But you know what? Things never change," Brandon replied to Camden, throwing his hands up in the air. As she spoke her next words and held out her wrists, Brandon looked down at them out of instinct, but instantly wished he never did. The sight was absolutely horrid, her newest and deepest cut was an ugly, deep red color. He turned his head immediately, and muttered, "Please don't show me that," before resting his head in his hands.

How could someone do that to themselves, knowing all the consequences--OH SHUT UP, who the fuck are YOU to talk, Brandon, his mind began screaming at him. Your drugs are no different than her cutting. Don't be a hypocrite. Hesitantly turning back to her, he saw that she was already walking away again, into the store they were standing in front of. Standing outside for a couple of moments, he wasn't sure of what to do, so he walked in after her, and began speaking again.

"I don't even know what things will be like by this time tomorrow. Everything seems like a million miles away. Maybe things won't change, maybe they will. I don't even know what to expect."

Brandon frowned as he listened to Camden apologize, and simply shook his head. "You have NO reason to apologize for anything right now, Camden..." was all he said before she walked out again. Instead of following her right away, Brandon stood there for a couple of moments. His mind was completely and utterly useless at this point, as he tried thinking, nothing came out. No ideas, no suggestions, no plans, no anything. He then thought of Kelly out there alone, against the wall, sound asleep.

"OH SHIT," he then suddenly burst out, and got a disapproving glance from the lady working behind the counter of the ice cream shop. Shaking his head, he ran out the door and the short way to where Kelly was. Sure enough, he was still there, just the way he left him. For some reason, Brandon imagined him getting mugged out there. But Kelly would have probably slept through the whole thing. The thought made him bust out laughing, but he quickly regained himself. Looking back the way he came, he saw Camden still sitting there. "You're so lucky you're asleep right now, Kelly...not a care in the world for you," he muttered, looking back down at Kelly's sleeping body.

Making his way back to Camden, he stood in front of her, looking down at her sititng self. "You know what's gonna happen now if I go with him...? He's gonna pull me back into a life of drugs...I can't have that, Camden. And you know what? Eventually, that's going to kill me. Why would I go back to that when I have you sitting here, hurting...I can't forget about you. I can't let you go. You make me feel ALIVE. And yet I feel so bad that I am doing this to you. I didn't lie about ANYTHING that I said to you over these past few days. Not one thing I said to you was a lie." Getting down on his knees so he was looking up at her, Brandon continued. "It can't end this way. There is a fine line between love and lust, and I think that Kellan is lusting for me. But you..." he trailed off, not knowing how to end it.

Brandon -

Keeping his eyes on Jamie, Brandon had no idea what to say to her. He felt the familiar sting of guilt take a stab at his heart, for he was the one who had introduced Jamie to Kellan years and years go. He supposed that it wasn't fair to blame himself for Kellan's actions, because it's not like Brandon was the one who made Kelly hurt her. Biting his lip, he looked down at Jamie's arms and saw more bruises, probably from the fall she had on the way down to the floor. "Jamie, I can't change what Kellan did...but I am sorry. You don't deserve that."

Jamie simply nodded at that statement, looking up at him and biting her lip. There was something she was not telling Brandon. But he didn't have time to ask, becasue Camden then came back and said she had to go. "What is she doing?" Jamie asked, and Brandon's gaze followed Camden. She was simply walking away. Looking back towards Kellan, who was still sleeping, Brandon sighed. "How long has he been like that...?" Jamie whispered.

"A while," Brandon replied back quietly, then looked at Jamie for a long time. "...You like him, don't you..."

Jamie's reaction wasn't one of surprise, but the question did catch her slightly off guard. "...Yeah...but it doesn't matter. He's in love with you--"

"And I'm in love with Camden," Brandon interupted her.

Brandon -

Jamie simply nodded at Brandon's statement, and he was glad that she didn't try and put up an argument. He was not up for discussing anything other than what to do from this point on. Looking back, he noticed that Camden had walked off out of sight. "What the fuck, where she hell did she go?!" he exclaimed, looking back at Jamie, who simply shrugged her shoulders.

"I have no clue."

"You're useless right now," he shook her head at her, then began walking the direction in which Camden had gone, but he didn't get very far, because he then noticed that Kellan was waking up. "Shit," he muttered to himself, then ran over to him and grasped his face in both of his hands. "You okay?"

Kellan simply nodded at the question, then opened his sleepy eyes to look at Brandon. "How long was I out, babe..." he trailed off the question, looking out at nothing. Brandon sighed and chewed on his bottom lip, his heart squeezing at the word 'babe'.

"Not long," he replied, knowing it was a stupid answer, then looked back towards Jamie, who was already walking away from the whole scene. It was probably better that Kellan did not see her, at least not again after the incident. Brandon knew that there was no way in hell that Kellan liked her. The facts were stacked up against it, why would he push someone whom he would possibly care for. Life wasn't that easy.
