Personality: Depression is a nagging feeling of wrong that eats away at a person until there is nothing left. People can yell at you until they are blue in the face to get up and do something, but nothing seems worth doing. Everyday one wakes up and sees the world a little grayer until it is devoid of all color and happiness. Slowly you get the dragging feeling that you are bringing down others with you and that is when you take your life.

Alexander has been struggling with depression for months now and things don't seem to be getting better for him. He's been retreating more and more into himself and his music over the last few months that most of his friends have slowly drifted away from him as many people do when they realize that a friend is depressed. He finds him self reading more and more about death as time goes on and has found him self latching on to famous dark figures like Kurt Cobain, Edgar Allan Poe, and Vincent van Gogh. Many people would misunderstand what those people mean to him, they aren't symbols of death to him, but people who tried their best to live with depression and people who managed to channel their thoughts into art that outlived them by hundreds of years.

Even with all of his pain he still tries to be nice to the people around him.
Relationships:
-The Responsible One: "He's everything that I'm not and everything that I don't want to be, but he's a good man with a kind heart and that is something that very few people in the world can claim"
-The Smart One: "I don't get her. She seems to be a smart girl and independent to boot, but she won't shut up about the perfect boy. I don't get that at all. (Chloë) and I aren't perfect, but that doesn't sour the deal much for me.
-The Jerk: "He's an asshole with no respect for the people around him. He can't keep it in his pants, but in the end it's not all his fault. Our parents can't seem to understand that he is different from (Chord) they aren't the same damn people and the folks don't seem to get that. I can understand why that'd piss him off."
-The Screw Up: "She's... well... she's a girl. I honestly don't know her too well. She seems nice, if a little clumsy when it comes to life and she's done some pretty stupid stuff while behind the wheel."
-The Wild One: He's just like (Tom), but worse in every way. He's a wanna be playboy that can't keep it in his pants, but unlike (Tom) he can never find a place to put the proverbial "it". He's 16, but finds the lowest brow comedy funnier than anything else."
-The Quiet One: "She's the only person that doesn't make me feel pressured or insecure. I feel safe when I'm with her and I don't really know why. Maybe, it's her smile or quiet demeanor. I really don't know, but I do know that she makes my world just a little brighter."
-The Little One: "She should be spoiled rotten, but while she certainly is spoiled she isn't very rotten. We aren't much alike, but that isn't a bad thing now is it?

So begins...

Alexander's alarm clock screeched on causing him to grit his teeth while he fumbled around looking for the off button in his relativity darkly lit room. He found it and switched it off before sitting up in his bed and slumping up against the nearby wall.

"Today isn't going to be a good day" Alexander mumbled as he looked down at his hands, studying them as if they were something more than hands. Something with some answers.

He sat like that for minutes thinking of very little, trying to prod him self into going downstairs. "What's the point, it's not like anyone wants to see me anyways," Alexander brooded. His face fell into his hands, which were now tucked between his knees. Leaving him in a pathetic looking position.

He stayed like that for several more minutes, but out of fear of some unknowing person entering his room and seeing him like that, he straightened up and stood out of his bed. He walked one foot after the other towards his nearby closet. Inside was an acoustic guitar, his favorite. By all accounts a learners guitar called a Seagull S6, but Alexander had grown accustomed to it's feel and resonance. Inside the well kept guitar was his small stash of weed, a small pipe, and a shitty zippo lighter.

He removed them from their luxuries case and quickly stuffed the prepared weed into the the pipe, lit up, and took several long puffs. The smoke burned his throat, but he was used to that by now. He took one last puff then put the pipe away.

He then walked over to his bathroom, each step easier than the last as his cloud began to lift, temporarily. He took a warm shower, sure to scrub his hair to get any smell of weed out, not that it hangs around for too long anyways. He brushed his teeth thoroughly and complimented that with some mouth wash.

He dressed himself in some ripped jeans, an unbuttoned red and white flannel shirt, and a multicolored t-shirt that read "Jimi Hendrix Experience- Are You Experienced" with the band on the front in a fish eyed picture giving it a surreal look and the words of the album in a psychedelic font that screamed the late 60's. Alexander loved the shirt and loved the band. Songs like "Hey Joe" and "Purple Haze" captured Alexander's imagination in a way that very few albums can.

He left his room and made his way down to the kitchen. That was the early morning meeting place for most families. He didn't participate much, but he figured that's where everyone would be. By now the weed was starting to hit him a bit more and he felt like he was on a cloud.

He entered through the kitchen door into an agitated environment. He looked over at Sarah who looked miffed and for her that was incredibly strange. Jack had that look on his face that told Alexander that it was his doing. He was good at finding buttons on even people that didn't have very many like Sarah. He walked in past Jack towards Jason and Sarah who were busy making Breakfast. He slid a hand over onto Sarah's unoccupied palm and gave it a quick squeeze whilst also giving her a peck on the cheek. He then jumped up onto the counter nearest to her that wasn't being used for cooking and gave Jack a quick glare while he mouthed, "You're an asshole" to him.

'BE-'

Alex did an extra sit up to turn off her alarm, being reminded of the time. She'd been up since 5am, studying at first to be sure that she didn't lose any knowledge that she had worked far to hard to obtain, then doing her daily morning work out. Alex didn't really care about her fitness, but liked the routine of it all. The toned stomach was just a perk. She always set an alarm, but not to wake up. She was always up at 5am, but instead to order the end of her work out and to remind her to get breakfast. Afterall, it is the most important meal of the day and she couldn't afford to miss it, it would ruin her routine.

She wasn't surprised when her parents and Mr and Mrs Kennedy decided to leave despite what had gone on. She knew that they should have stayed, that's what parents did, right? Sacrificed things when their children needed them, but she also knew that saying anything would only make them feel that they've earned it even more. Don't get her wrong, she loved them and thought they were good parents but they often got stuck in the "rich thing", obsessed with reputation.

Still dressed in her sports bra and three quarter-length joggers, she elegantly walked down the stairs. Without slowing her pace, she pulled her long hair from it's messy bun and let it fall down her back. Swiftly putting the band around her wrist, she walked into the kitchen and paused in the doorway. There she found Jack, Sarah, Ella and Alexander. She smiled at the sight, loving her family to pieces.

"Smells delicious, guys." She complimented, announcing her presence.

Sarah smiled at Alexander, "Good morning," she said softly, and she began searching through the cabinets for bagels until she finally found some, and she put a bagel on a plate, giving it to Ella, "Want something to drink with that? Milk? Orange juice?" she asked softly with a slight smile.

She walked back to the food she was cooking, which was now finished, and she grabbed six plates out of the cabinet, putting two strips of bacon on each plate, and two pancakes as well. She buttered the pancakes and poured maple syrup on them.

Sarah looked at Alexander with a small smile, admiring the charming boy, whom everyone else seemed to think was so weird.

Sure, Alexander had his quirks, but didn't everyone? Sarah believed quirks were what made everyone who they are, and nobody should be ashamed of him/herself.

Sarah admired Alexander's unique taste in music, and his extraordianary musical talent. Everything about him was like a light that illuminated her heart.

He was one of the very few things that made her happy. Sarah wasn't happy very often, due to her depression and social anxiety.

Sarah entwined her fingers with his, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

She smiled at Alexandra as she complimented the devine smell of the breakfast, but she remained silent.

"Without bed hair too!" Jason said flashing his youngest sister a smile at how she came into the kitchen announcing that she was awake.

Jason was sorely tempted to force Ella to eat what Sarah was cooking just because she was cooking it. If it had just been him, he wouldn't have minded, but Sarah was trying to be nice, and he felt like just looking at her work and saying she didn't like that stuff was throwing it in her face, but whatever he was going to say was cut off by Sarah giving her a bagel and offering to get her a drink. It was probably for the best as Jason forcing Ella to eat it would probably have made Ella complain more which would have made Sarah felt bad.

He half turned from the stove and pointed his mighty spatula at his youngest sister, "Make sure you eat all of it Ella, you are getting way too skinny. Guys don't like seeing the ribs unless they are covered in barbecue sauce," he teased, "There is some cream cheese in the fridge," he said turning back around to flip over some of the scrambled eggs to keep them from burning.

Jason eyed Alexander as he came into the kitchen and gave Sarah a kiss on the cheek. It was a good call, if he had tried to make out with his younger sister in front of him, he would be walking around a spatula stuck a foot deep inside his rear for the rest of the summer. He may make Sarah happy, but Jason would be damned before he sat there and watched some guy make moves on his sister, boyfriend or not. The fact that he didn't compliment Sarah on her cooking or hard work made a small frown make its way across his face. He didn't care how shy the boy was, he should have said something.

Luckily, the next person into the kitchen changed that. Jason turned his head and flashed Alexandra a grateful smile, "Thank you, it is all Sarah though. I am just her Robin," he paused looking down at his jeans, "I left my tights in the wash."

Gliding around Sarah after uttering a quick, hot skillet behind you, he started to scoop some of the scrambled eggs onto the plates as she placed the other food on them even buttering the pancakes for them.

Sarah smiled, and she handed a plate to Alexander, and she grabbed one, handing it to Alexandra, and grabbed one for herself, "Thanks again for helping, Jason," she said to him, and she sat beside Ella at the island.

She ate her food quietly, the amazing taste of the pancakes making her taste buds dance with delight. She smiled softly, and she glanced around the kitchen, breathing in the smell of the breakfast, the scent making her mouth water as she continued to eat silently.

Sarah glanced around at everyone, not knowing what to do. She was used to listening to everyone's conversations as she thought her own opinions rather than actually voicing them, thinking that nobody cared what she had to say.

She would let out a small laugh when someone said something that amused her, but nobody was as social as usual, so she had no opinions to think to herself, nor did she have a reason to laugh, even slightly.

Her gaze landed on Alexander, and she sent him a small smile, and decided to stare at him, taking in his appearance. She had noticed something a bit off about him, though. He was acting a bit different than usual. Something was definitely up, but she wasn't sure exactly what, however, she wanted to find out exactly what was going on with him.

In a rather rare occasion, the second child of the Kennedy family had not come home at the crack of dawn. The fact that she was currently under probation might be given credit for that, though only by someone who does not know Lyla very well. Being grounded has never done much to stamp out the behaviors her parents disapprove of --it simply makes her more cunning in going about them. Her reason for staying put last night had been because she expected to have much more freedom as soon as her parents left with the Whites for Europe, nannies and Jason be damned. So she played the part of the remorseful daughter, perhaps unconvincingly, until they had gone. Her parents had left very early this morning [or was it very late last night?], and that marked the true beginning of Lyla's summer. A summer partying with friends on the beach, playing around with whoever caught her eye, and hooking up with Jack.

That last one was something that she really did have to keep quiet, the rest of her plans being the sorts of things her elder brother had to realize was inevitable, regardless of how he tried to stop it. Her no-strings-attached deal with Jack, however, was something that Jason would no doubt put his all into crushing. Believe it or not, Lyla wanted to enjoy her summer with as few hitches as possible. Of course, that never seemed to go as planned, given that her idea of enjoying the summer was less than pleasing to her parents.

Despite having gone to sleep relatively early last night, Lyla will still be one of the last of the group to rise. The early bird saying has never had much pull to her, that much has been made clear by her sleeping habits. They, at least, are something that have been constant throughout her life. Even at 10, she could sleep through an afternoon and still seem sluggish when she woke up.

Still, the bear cannot slumber forever, and her room is placed in such a way so that the smell of cooking eggs and bacon drifts into the air. If there is one thing that can wake up Lyla without fail, it is the smell of breakfast. Another remnant of her younger days would be a love for breakfast. Given her way, Lyla would probably have breakfast food for every meal of the day without hesitation. On some occasions, she does just that.

Placing food before getting ready, the blonde rises from bed and does little more than brush her hair before going downstairs. A plain white T-shirt and pajama pants printed with Barbara Gordon, in all of her red-headed, ass-kicking glory, patterns is her wardrobe this morning. Following her nose, and by some extent her stomach, Lyla finds her way into the kitchen, which already has almost all of the Kennedy-White kids in it.

"I hope those eggs are up for grabs," she comments, the words warped somewhat by a yawn. Without waiting for an answer, she gets down a plate and walks to the skillet, preparing to help herself.

Alex laughed at Jason's Robin joke, rolling her eyes slightly out of amusement. She smiled gratefully at Sarah, taking the plate that had been offered.

"Tomorrow I'll cook breakfast." She reassured, knowing that Sarah couldn't cook every morning. She went to the fridge, reading the note her mother had left, not really caring. She loved her mother to pieces, but the message behind her note was more "don't taint our reputation whilst we're gone, we have two girls coming to make sure we're not ruined when we get back." And, being responsible, she had nothing to worry about. After having poured herself a glass of milk she went back to the fridge in order to return the milk. She then made her way to the island, sitting down with the others. Something in the air was off, it seemed like no one was in a social mood. Well, besides her. She was always ready to cheer people up or listen to what they had to say.

"So, what's everyone planning to do today?" She asked, her eyes bright with enthusiasm. Alex loved to ask people about their day, taking a deep interest. She wasn't stalker-ish or anything, she just liked to know how things were going with her loved ones. And even if the feelings may not be returned, she did love the Kennedy kids as though they were her siblings.

Alexander thanked Sarah for the food. He wasn't very hungry, but he figured he'd eat a few bites because Sarah made it.

Alexandra had asked a question, but Alexander hadn't listened very attentively. Something about today, he didn't really know nor care what she had said though.

After a few bites Alexander put down his plate. His stomach wasn't really up for food, most of the time breakfast was his most hated meal of the day. It just seemed so forced to him. It just wasn't his thing.

Alexander shrugged and took the plate over to the trash, not wanting to leave it out and forget it was there. The trash was empty and clean, Alexander dirtied it by brushing off the eggs and bacon into it. He then placed his dish in the sink and jumped back up to the spot he was in.

He began to study his hands again, this time more because he was high than anything else. Everything always seemed new to him when he was high. More significant somehow. He began to trace the scars on his wrist from where he had cut him self a few months ago. A lot of people do it, but Alexander didn't get any kind of satisfaction or vindication from it so he had stopped before it became too noticeable or too big of a problem.

He gave up looking at his hand after what felt like and hour, but was probably more like a few seconds. And looked over at Sarah. Specifically her lips and what he'd like to do to them, but he wasn't about to try anything while Jason was in punching distance.

Sarah glanced at Alexander, feeling his eyes on her, and she realized he wasn't staring at her, he was staring at her lips. She felt her cheeks heat up, and she looked down at the ground. it wasn't just him looking at her lips that made her blush, it was the way he looked at them. Like he was imagining kissing her or something of the sort.

They had kissed multiple times before, but Sarah felt as if everyone else in the room would notice the way he was looking at her.

Sarah cleared her throat, and she smiled at Jason, "So, what are you planning on doing today, Jay?" she asked him softly, trying to get her mind off of Alex's gaze on her mouth.

"I was planning on cooking this morning anyways, plus, it is not like I could just sit down and not help you," Jason said waving off the thanks. It wasn't really something that should have been thanked over, any person should have offered to help if they planned on eating some of it.

Jason moved out of the way for Lyla to get to her eggs easier without worrying about her elbowing him in the hip by accident. He was, honestly, a little surprised to see her up so early, "Help yourself, Lyla, and good morning to you too," he said watching her scoop large amounts of eggs onto her plate. It was comforting to see some things about his sister was still the way he remembered it. He could still remember leaving plates of omelets, eggs and bacons, hash browns and the like in the microwave for her when she did decide to finally rouse from bed. How anyone could sleep so late had always baffled him.

He leaned back against the sink, he would eat his breakfast after they had finished theirs. Jason wasn't sure why, but he preferred to eat after everyone else was done, it was probably why he would eat bits and part of whatever he was cooking as he cooked. The atmosphere was a little tense, but it probably would be for the first week or so. Jason quirked an eyebrow at Alex saying she would be cooking tomorrows breakfast, "Does that mean I have dinner duties?"

Jason almost wondered what the nannies were supposed to do besides watch the little ones if they were already dividing up the cooking duty. Perhaps it was his parents way of trying to give him more free time instead of running back and forth in the house like a mother hen?

"Or being the key word," Jason said glancing at Sarah and Alexander. They were certainty not going to be hanging out in any bedroom together. Not unless Alexander was willing to let Jason preform some quick scissor surgery for insurance. The way the kid was looking at his hands was... disconcerting. If Sarah started to do the same things, then he and Alexander were going to have words. Many of them.

Sarah's question snapped Jason back to the present, "I will probably stay around the house today. Get.." he paused checking the note again, "Taylor and Madison used to what is going on. Keep an eye on some people, maybe watch the Lake House if Alex wants to join?" He asked glancing over to his best friend if she was interested in watching yet another 'chick flick'.

Sarah nodded, and she shrugged, "Well, you and Alexandra have fun, I guess," she stood up, taking her plate to the sink, and she walked to Alexander, "Hey, want to hang out or something?" she asked him quietly, smiling slightly.

Sarah wanted to spend her summer with Alexander, obviously, so of course she would ask him to hang out. She was hoping to listen to him play guitar for her or something. She loved listening to him play music.

She leaned in, pecking his cheek, and she mumbled, "You could play your guitar for me," she smiled, pulling away from him slightly, so she could look at him.

Sarah loved being able to kiss him any time she wanted. It was one of the many perks of being Alexander White's girlfriend. She never understood why other girls didn't find him appealing, because she found him quite irresistible.

She loves everything about him, and other girls just point out his flaws, but in order to love someone, you have to love everything about them, flaws and all.

Sarah would tell the world loud and proud that she did indeed love Alexander, if only she wasn't too shy, that is.

Alexander smiled as he looked into Sarah's eyes and replied, "Sure, I'd love to hang out with you, or something." He hopped down from the counter, took her by the hand and began heading towards his room. He figured the weed smell may still be lingering around, but he honestly figured that Sarah would have no idea to what the smell was, plus the strand he smokes is very sweet smelling unlike most strands making it hard for even some potheads to detect as pot.

He did have a song to play for her too. It's kind of romantic he figured. Though also not really considering Where did you sleep last night is about a wife cheating on her husband then him killing her, but hey it certainly sounds romantic.

His only problem though was that he doubted that Jason would leave them alone for more than five minutes or even let them go at all. Let's just get to the door. Alexander muttered to himself half way to the hallway.

Jack rolled his eyes at Sarah's comeback and would have replied if Jason hadn't walked in. It wasn't like he was scared of anything that Jason could do to him, but he didn't want to start any drama just yet. It was still early and besides that, Jack did sometimes feel guilty about making comments about his sisters right in front of him. If she ever did that about Alexandra, Jack wouldn't hesitate to punch him in the face.

He quickly finished off his Pop Tart and headed to the fridge to find something else to eat. After grabbing a bottle of water and an apple, Ella entered, much peppier than she had been the previous night. She had spent the previous night whining about their parents leaving which was a stark contrast between the mini-party girl that he'd witnessed before. It was obvious to Jack, and probably everyone, that behind Ella's wannabe popular side was still a young girl who was just a child. He wasn't surprised, really. She was still young and even though she was a little old for some of her behaviors, she had been the baby of her family, and in some ways, his too.

A moment after Sarah got a bagel, Alexandra entered. He enjoyed his twin sister's company but soon enough, she was chatting it up with Jason and at that, Jack wanted nothing to do with her for the moment. They discussed watching some lame chick flick and who would cook the meals for the rest of the day. For a second, Jack considered making a comment about how Jason was probably a queer but again, he didn't want to make an ill-willed comment so early on. He'd save that one for later.

Just as he finished off his apple and water, Lyla entered. Jack smiled as she entered and filled a plate with food but before he could get up to talk to her, Sarah kissed Alexander on the cheek and began to whisper something to him. "Damn Jason, your sister's taking my brother to first base. I've got to say, I never thought I'd see this day come," he remarked with a smirk as he tossed the apple core into the trash. "Come hang out on the beach when you're done eating?" Jack asked with a grin as he turned his attention to Lyla.

Will yawned as he sat up in his bed. He looked at the clock, reading ten thirty he flopped back down. It was way too early to get up. Then he started to smell something. Something delicious! Sarah! Will quickly jumped out of bed. He couldn't be more excited to spend the summer with his best friend. Sure he wouldn't mind being more, but she was with his freaky stoner brother. Still there were plenty of girls in the sea and sarah was a good friend, and that was all.

Will went into his bathroom and quickly ran some water through his bed head hair and brushed his teeth. Then he threw on a tee and some basketball shorts that he grabbed off the floor. Sure it had only been two days but his room was already a disaster area. Will didn't mind though, that was just the way he lived. Will got to his door and stopped, taking a deep breath. He couldn't let the others see how excited he was, he had to be cool, like his older brother jack.

Will opened his door and at a hurried pace walked down the long hall to the kitchen. Will always chose the farthest room from everything, it made him feel like he was alone sometimes. He hurried hoping to catch sarah. Thats when Sarah rounded the corner and Will instantly lit up, his smile reaching from ear to ear. "Morning Sarah."

Then Alexander rounded the corner behind her, and Will's mood crashed through the floor and halfway to china. "Oh...I see youre busy...We'll hang out later?" Will asked as he ignored his stoner brother. Honest he didn't really have any problem with him. In fact Will was a little jealous at Alexander's guitar skills, but jack hated him, so Will didn't like him either. Will entered the kitchen and instantly made way for the bacon. "Good morning everybody! Who wants to go dirtbiking?" he questioned as he shoved three pieces of bacon into his mouth.

Alexander brushed past Will a bit nervously after he and Sarah had their small exchange. The pair walked towards his room at a leisurely pace. Alexander had never liked hallways. His physiologist called it a minor case of agoraphobia, but Alexander wasn't really afraid of other open spaces or unfamiliar places, just hallways. But he guessed that's where the "minor" comes from.

By the time they arrived at his doorway he had almost completely zoned out and almost slammed into his own door. He shook his head and entered in to the smelly room. He crossed in and quickly opened his window wanting to get some air flow going in the place. "Well, I just took the time to learn this song. It's originally a really old folk song, like early 1900's old," Alexander explained as he made his way to his closet with the acoustic guitar, completely forgetting that within the guitar's sound hole was a bag of weed and a pipe filled with weed.

He took the guitar by the neck and flipped it end to end into his hand making a loud clang as the small pipe and bag fell between the high and low E strings respectively. "Fuck." Alexander muttered, quickly kicking the smoking tool back into his closet, missing the bag of weed and closing the door leaving the bag of weed visible if one got close.

Alexander quickly covered the distance between him self and her and sat her and him down on the bed.

"My girl, my girl, don't lie to me..." Alexander began.

Sarah noticed how Alexander brushed past Will rather nervously, but she didn't make a comment about it. She didn't usually make comments when a lot of people were around. She only ever talked when it was just her and one or two other people besides her. She didn't like talking much in large crowds, it made her nervous.

Soon, her and Alexander had gotten to his room, and she heard a loud clang as something hit the floor, and Alexander was suddenly behaving oddly. He quickly kicked something into his cloest, and he closed the door, rather hurriedly. However, Sarah didn't say anything about it, since she wanted to hear him sing to her, so she would just ask him about the whole kicking-things-into-the-closet thing later.

Sarah smiled at him as he sat down with her on the bed, and her smile brightened as he began to sing and play his guitar, and she got lost in the music. She loved the kind of music Alexander played and listened to. Before shestarted hanging out with him, she had no idea that the kind of music exsisted, but she instantly took a liking to it, and she liked it even more when he played the songs for her.

Sarah completely missed the true meaning of the song, thinking it was actually just about a man being in love with a woman, which made it all the more special to Sarah. Alexander was singing a song to her, and she thought it was about being in love with a girl, and the fact that he was singing that kind of song to her made her feel amazing.

She stared into his soft, beautiful eyes as he sang and played his guitar, and she smiled softly, admiring the amazing boy. Any girl would be lucky to have a guy like Alexander. A guy who sings to his girlfriend, openly shows his feelings for her, and just the amazing personality of Alex was enough to make Sarah fall head over heels for the boy. She loved how he played his guitar and sang for her, how he seemed to spend more time with her than anyone else. But she figured that was mainly because everyone thought he was 'weird', which he wasn't.

Alexander was just Alexander. He was himself, and being yourself isn't weird. People think Sarah is weird, too, just because she is quiet, and she would rather read a book or study for a test than go to a high school party, but that wasn't her being weird, it was just Sarah Kennedy. That's how she is now. Sure, she used to be a fun upbeat girl, kind of like Ella is, and she still has that upbeat side, somewhere under her depressed, quiet side.

So, just like Sarah, Alexander is only being himself. But everyone over-looks the real him, only seeing an outcast with an unusual music taste. But they never notice the sweet guy he actually is. They don't know the Alexander Sarah fell in love with. But maybe that's because they never give him a chance to be himself, they never give him a chance to even be their friend, because they are too caught up in their "social reputation".

Sarah was broken out of her thoughts as the last note of the song played, and she smiled at Alexander softly, "That was beautiful, Alex," she spoke softly, her smile still dancing on her lips as she stared at him.

Alexander took a heavy breath as the guitar hummed after the last E minor was strummed. He immediately began to criticize his technique. His voice was flat at the end and he had missed a beat when going into the interlude after the 3rd verse. He had only preformed the song twice before, but he felt as though that should have been enough to get it perfect for Sarah. He precariously placed the guitar on the side of his bed then ran his hands through his hair, which was his usual way of showing dissatisfaction with the way he had played.

After a few moments with his hands in his hair he looked over at Sarah and saw her smiling. Not much got him feeling better after messing up a part of a song besides playing it over again and her smile. Her smile was something else. It made him want to smile so he did, at first a meek smile like her's, but it quickly grew into a more heartfelt one growing practically from ear to ear. It looked goofy as hell, but Alexander didn't much care. He doubted she cared either.

Alexander noticed a strand of her hair falling down from behind her ear. His hand moved forward to brush it out of the way, but halfway there he hesitated. For some reason something always stopped him from moving forward with her. He'd always blamed it on their shared awkwardness and inexperience to just about everything. But, now he wondered if it was something else.

He didn't really put his trust in her and he felt like that always showed through to her. It's not that Alexander didn't trust her, he just hid things from her and everyone else. Alexander gave her hand a quick squeeze then stood and walked across the room and picked up the bag of weed. He then opened up the closet and took out the pipe.

Alexander then lethargically made his way back over to the bed with the drugs in his hand. He held them out so that she could clearly see what they were. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this stuff earlier. I just thought you'd be kinda ashamed of me, considering that you don't really like this kind of stuff." Alexander said to her. He wasn't sure how she would react, but he just wanted to let her know what was up. "Oh, that weird smell is this." Alexander said shaking the dime of weed. "Sorry..." he said again looking down towards his lap.

Sarah looked at the drugs in his hand, then glanced at him again. She smiled at him, "It's okay, Alexander, I don't mind," she told him honestly, and she lifted his chin with her hand, gently, and she pecked his lips.

"Don't think that I'm ashamed of you for smoking weed, Alex. I love you either way," she smiled brightly at him. Sarah meant every word she said.

She wasn't ashamed of him, and sure she didn't have a liking for drugs, but that didn't mean she'd be ashamed of him for doing them. And she wasn't going to encourage him to smoke the weed, but she definitely wasn't going to tell him to just stop.

Sarah would support him no matter what he does. Alexander is the one thing that lightens her up inside, and she isn't afraid to talk when she's with him.

"I don't want you to smoke weed, but I'm not going to tell you to stop either. Don't be sorry, please," she told him with a reassuring smile.

Sarah had wondered what it was like to smoke something, do drugs, or drink alcohol, but that didn't necessarily mean she would drink or do drugs, but it was something she wouldn't mind trying, of course she'd never tell anyone that.

"Sure you could help with dinner," Jason said flashing his friend a large smile, "Every great man needs an assistant. How can I be expected to remember my own schedules?" He teased. He was thankful that she offered to help as Jason didn't expect much in the way of help form the others as they were all quite willing to ride on the coattails of the others. The White business would be in good hands if they left it to Alex instead of the screw up that was Jack.

Busy talking to Alex he missed Alexander trying to flee to his room with Sarah, but Jack, being the rodent he was, was quick to jump on it suggest his sister was going to be making out with his little brother who wasn't worth her time. Jason thought she was more in love with the idea of love then with the boy. Someone didn't love everything about someone, that is called being blind, love is knowing their faults but loving them despite their faults, not loving their faults to. One was being blind while the other was seeing the other person for who they were. Still his sister was young, so she would figure it out sooner or later.

Jack's comment was not appreciated, "If he thinks about second base, I will make sure he can never go to third base with anyone," Jason said dismissively, but his voice held an edge as he was more then willing to harm Alexander, even physically mutilate him, if it meant keeping his middle sister safe. Any of his other sisters, and he would already be moving to kick their door in and inform them that in this house they will always have the door open when together, but Sarah was not his other two sisters. He trusted her, but he didn't trust Alexander, so he would be going over there soon enough to inform them about his door policy.

"Are you blind or just illiterate," Jason said pointing at the note on the fridge, "Lyla isn't going anywhere until Madison and Taylor get here. She has to tell them where she wants to go, you are not getting her into any more trouble," he spoke as if Lyla wasn't even there, but it didn't matter, she wasn't going anywhere until the nannies got here. Then it was up to them to try and keep her in line while he did his best to help. He had to admit, he knew he wouldn't be able to just let them do the majority of the work, but a part of him was also glad that he didn't have to spend his entire summer looking after Lyla. She needed to grow up someday, and while he wasn't sure if it was this Summer or even in this decade, all he could do was try to keep her from doing something colossally stupid until then. He still could not believe she drank and drove. Jason had always assured his parents that she wouldn't do that. That she knew better then that. Looks like he was proven wrong. Again.

Jason opened his mouth to confront Jack on if he wanted to start all this already when Ella walked getting eggs. Having missed her scrapping off her Bagel, he was filled with a mixture of surprise and elation that she was finally eating. Young teen girls and never eating all their food or picking at it, he would never understand it.

"Sorry Ella," Jason said, "Lyla can't take you shopping, she isn't allowed to drive. Grounded again," he said deciding to leave the details on why she couldn't drive out of it. Lyla was her hero and while he thought that was a terrible decision, he wasn't about to pull down Lyla like that in front of Ella, "And they didn't say goodbye to me either, sorry... If you want, you can try to call them."

Will had come in just then saying hello to which Jason gave an absentminded wave in his direction busy with talking to Ella. He couldn't go dirt biking because he had to stick around the house today that and just lounging on the couch with Alex sounded right for the day.

"Good morning, Will!" She greeted her younger brother, flashing him a bright smile. Even she knew that she was way to enthusiatic in the morning, but oh well, a bit of cheer couldn't hurt anyone.

She had just put her now clean and dry dishes away when she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. Pulling it out, she raised her eyebrows at the unknown number but soon understood.

'Hi guys! It's Taylor Stone. Your parents asked me to text you to let you know that Madison and I are on our way. We should be there in an hour or so :)!'

Alex quickly saved the number into her phone and replied back.

'Hi, this is Alexandra. Have a nice trip and I shall see you then, can't wait to meet you!'

Waiting for Jason to finish speaking to Ella, she announced the news that she knew they'd all love - note the sarcasm.

"Ok, guys, I just got a text from one of the babysitters. They'll be here in an hour!" Alexandra was genuinely excited to meet the two women, glad that her parents hadn't tasked Jason and her to watch over everyone.

She then skipped out of the kitchen, not caring to listen to them complain about the babysitters. Heading to her room to change from her workout outfit, she climbed the stairs. Passing Alexander's room, she smelt something funny and paused. Peeking in, what she saw made her face red with anger. Weed.

She barged in, her once happy mood gone.

"ALEXANDER! SARAH! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! THAT BETTER NOT BE WHAT I THINK IT IS!" She demanded, shouting the house down.

Sarah's eyes widened, and she fell off the bed due to being startled. She quickly stood up and glared at Alexandra, "We weren't going to smoke it," she told her quickly, and she had no idea what to do.

So, she ran passed Alexandra, and she went downstairs, going straight to Will, who just happened to be downstairs.

"Your sister is going to kill me," Sarah whispered to him, and she stood behind him, attempting to hide herself behind his larger body, "You better protect me, or you're dead," she smirked.

Sarah was always herself around Will. The fun, bubbly version of herself she had been before three years ago. Will was her best friend then, and he still was now, so she was still the same as she's always been around him. She threatened him playfully, and she joked around with him, and she laughed her head off when she was with him.

She watched the stairs, afraid Alexandra would come down, and she held Will's shoulders under her hands firmly, making sure he wouldn't go anywhere.

Will rolled his eyes at the news about the baby sitters. Great, just what he needed, two old hags telling him what to do. He lived by his own rules, no one told him what to do...except for Alexandra and Jack, but no one else. He was about to head out to get his dirt bike when he decided he might as well have a bit more bacon. Oh and some Orange juice. And he guessed that some eggs wouldn't hurt either.

Will finished fixing his plate and was about to head over to the island when he was startled by Alexandra's loud yelling. It startled him so much that he nearly dropped his plate and juice. He set all of the food down "What is going on?" that's when Sarah came in, she ran behind him and told him that his sister was going to kill her. "What are you doing hiding behind me then?! I don't want to die too!" he was about to get behind her and cower like she was doing, only a bit more comically since he was larger than she was. but then she placed her hands on his shoulders and he suddenly felt very protective.

Will waited patiently for his sister, who apparently had gone super saiyan, and he chuckled at that thought. Now she could finally be Jason's twin sister instead of Jack's. Her dream come true.

To Jack, Jason's tough guy persona was almost laughable. He was a nice guy who was on top of his sister about eating a balanced meal one minute, and the next he was talking about hurting his brother. Although Jack and Alexander didn't get along, Jason's threats towards his brother bothered him. If anyone was going to pick on or beat up Alexander, it was going to be him, not Jason. "I dare you to touch him, dude. It'd be just one more reason for me to knock you out," he muttered. Jack and Jason had never actually gotten into a physical fight, although they'd gotten pretty close to it several times. Alexandra was usually the one to push them apart and sometimes, Jack felt bad about putting her in that situation. At the same time though, he was kind of offended that she would continue to be friends with such an asshole.

"They've been dating for a year, I sure as hell hope that they've done more than just make out..." Jackson really wasn't sure about what his brother and Sarah did, and for the most part, he didn't want to know. He would have a little bit of respect for Alexander if he had managed to do more than just have a 13-year-old kiss with his girlfriend, but he honestly couldn't say whether or not he had. They were practically the opposite of being close and Jack made a mental note to get Will to find out details about Sarah and Alexander's relationship later on.

Jason made another snide remark about Jack inviting Lyla to the beach despite her parents stating that she wasn't allowed to go anywhere. "I'm honestly not surprised that you're going into the law business. You've been the fun police for the last what...? Ten years? Our parents are on a plane headed to the other side of the fucking world. I'm pretty sure they're not going to know if she goes to the beach for like, an hour," he remarked, standing up from his seat. Normally, Jackson like to push Jason's buttons and make him seem like the asshole, but he was actually starting to annoy him. Things weren't going to be as easy as he thought with Jason, the stick-in-the-mud, around.

"I'm heading out to surf," he said to Will, who had entered the room a moment before, asking if anyone wanted to go dirt biking. "Come if you feel like it."

Jack was already on his way out of the kitchen when Alexandra announced that the nannies were on his way, but he allowed her to pass him on his way up the stairs as he checked his text messages. As he reached the top of the stairs, she was shouting about something that Alexander and Sarah were doing and only a second later, Sarah bounded down the stairs with a frightened expression on her face. The first thing that came to Jack's mind was that the two had finally had sex, but as he approached the room, he saw a dime bag of weed and knew that was the real culprit.

In a quick and strangely unusual move for Jack, he slipped past Alexandra and grabbed the small bag from his brother's hands. "I've been looking for this - must've packed it with your shit instead of mine. My bad," he said casually as he slipped the bag into his pocket and turned to Alexandra. "Chill Alex... it's just a little weed and judging by your reaction, you should be the one smoking it, not me," he continued with a smirk. "Don't make a big deal about it though, I don't need to give your B-F-F another reason to be a dick to me," he finished, glancing down towards the stairs. He had a feeling that Jason would either be questioning Sarah about why Alexandra was screaming or coming up to investigate himself. Although Jack would never normally take the blame for anything to save Alexander, it would be less of a shocker if he was the one to have the weed and besides that, if Jason found out that Alexander was smoking, he wouldn't let Sarah near him, making it even harder for him to throw a party. As long as everyone was getting along, he figured that he could probably persuade each of them to go along with it, and then Jason would have to agree, or at least not bitch so much about it.

"One more reason for you to back down and continue living your 'life'," Jason counted just as easily. Every time they almost got into a fight, Alex always broke it up, and while Jason was more then willing to beat down Jack as maybe some pain would give him time to rethink his life, he wasn't willing to hurt Alex like that. Still, even as children, he couldn't remember a time they truly got into a physical fight. It usually was Jack prowling around trying to taunt Jason, Jason firing back, they about to get into a fight and something or someone breaking it up. A part of him wanted to get the fight going and over with.

Law school. He had yet to tell anyone about that yet, and he sure as hell wasn't about to tell Jack a thing, "Someone had to do it. Perhaps if you put on your big boy pants, someone would trust you," Jason said, still leaning against the sink. How in the world Jack thought him being responsible was an insult he never understood. It was like calling someone too smart, it wasn't really an insult in any way.

He had kept quite content to watch Sarah and Will joke and play with each other. It had been a while since he last saw her act so carefree like she had back then. While he didn't dislike Will, he as afraid he would turn out like his brother, but he was more comfortable around Will as he understood Will on some level, he did not understand Alexander at all. The word weed did catch his attention as Will, in his infinite wisdom, had nearly yelled it.

"Weed, Sarah?" Jason asked crossing his arms looking at her to see what she would say.

Although Ella was used to spending summers with The White's, it did get overwhelming sometimes to listen to so many people at once. At home, it was usually just her, Lyla and Sarah, and with Sarah being so quiet and Lyla preferring to hang out with her friends, things were usually pretty low key. Her mother would come home around dinner time and her there were days when Ella would go to bed before her father even got home. Jason had spent the past few years at school so she really only saw him on holiday breaks, leaving Ella to spend most of her time with a nanny or watching TV and occupying herself. Now, the amount of people that she was living with had doubled and while she loved having people to talk to, it also meant that there would be more arguments.

It was only the first day and her brother and Jack were already being mean to each other, and Ella was aware of the friction between Lyla and Alexandra, and even Lyla and Sarah as well. She could be a brat at times herself, but she didn't have any ongoing feuds with any of the others and Ella guessed that it was because she was so young. Even though she was only two years younger than Sarah and Alexander, she sometimes felt like they were a lot older and that she didn't really have a set place. Once Alexander and Sarah started dating, they moved up from being part of the "little kids" with her, and into the "older kids" group. Ella wasn't extremely close with either of them, especially Alexander, so it wasn't a huge deal, but she kind of felt left out with having no one her age to hang out with. She did have Lyla though, and recently, that was enough for Ella to be happy with.

Jason explained to her that Lyla wasn't able to take her shopping because she was grounded, but Ella turned to Lyla, hoping that her sister would give her a different answer. Being grounded hadn't stopped Lyla from doing what she wanted to do in the past and Jack seemed to be right. Her parents were far away and would never know if Lyla broke the rules. It seemed to make sense to Ella, even though she knew that it was wrong to go against her parents' wishes.

Ella hadn't noticed that Alexander and Sarah had left the room until Sarah came running down the stairs and straight to William. She watched as the two joked around, tickling and jumping on top of each other before Will had Sarah pinned to the floor, looking like he was about to spit on her. "You guys are gross," she scoffed.

In all of the commotion, Ella figured that it would be a good time to dump her plate without Jason noticing that she had wasted yet another plateful of food without eating more than a bite, so she quickly emptied it into the trash and dropped the dish into the sink, knowing that someone would take care of washing it later.
