History:
It is not often that an Asian-origin family was able to have a position and influence much in the States, but it seemed that Aiden was lucky enough to be born in such a family, living in the fame and the admiration of people ever since a young age. His father, Christian Liu (50) was the CEO of one of the most prestigious company in the States and his mother was Chang Mei Feng (40), one of the most veteran actress in China who has successfully becoming a famous Hollywood star during her early 30s, who has managed to won several awards for the blockbusters that featured her. Both of them are considered as ones of the most non-American influential people. They got married and had two sons, which are Aiden and his older brother, Darien Liu. Despite being busy with their schedules and meetings, they never forget to save times for their sons instead of leaving their care in the hands of nannies. This is one of the most important aspects that has helped both Aiden and Darien to earned their success. Aiden got along well with his brother and they always overcome whatever problems they had in life together. Both of his parents are independent people who has earned their success by their own hands, and they wanted their children to follow their paths. Which is why, they've learnt to do things by themselves and standing on their own feet at the age of 15.

Aiden began to developed his talents for singing and piano since he was 12 and although he didn't take after his parents, they accepted it and allowed his talents to be nourished with the hope that one day he will be successful like them. Encouraged thanks to this, Aiden has always tried his best and nurtured what he is good at and eventually, becoming who he is today. He attended a prestigious school in McKinley in high school alongside his brother and both of them had always been been popular at school. While Darien keeps on having a cool image, Aiden sticks to his usual gentle and soft sides and they've went through the years of high school in the admiration, in which they usually receives love letters and presents and has their own fanclubs. This is also the time when Aiden also taken up acting and was personally taught by his mother. And eventually, the years at high school passed.

After graduation, Aiden's brother enrolled in NYU and earned a four-year degree and now he owns a high position in their father company. Aiden decided that it is time for him not rely much on his parents' fame, which is why he enrolled AMDA for three years and started his own career on his second year. After graduating college, he was invited to starred in a blockbuster which later has received positive reviews from the critics and was ranked as second on the list of highest box office movies last year. After this success, the name Aiden Chang is well-known by many people and this is the point that his career began to rise to the top level. He began to started at the music industry a few months later by composing several songs, which later had became hits for some of the top singers of the States and release his first album. His album is has sold a lot of copies and held high ranks on Billboard. Now, Aiden has finally able to got out from his parents' shadow and was able to create a name for his own in both music and movies industries. Recently, he is working in the studio for the release of his second album in the end of the year and filming for the music video of his title song and has just finished filming for one of the newest project of Hollywood which will be premiered next year.

Secret(s):
Aiden is currently dating with a male actor, whose name was Krystian Aldenhart, one of the trending actors in Hollywood and also his childhood friend.

Positive Traits:
Gentle | Kind | Hard-working | Determinate | Independent

Character Flaws:
Sucks at lying | Sensitive | Easily-flustered | Over-caring

Personality:
Ever since he was small, Aiden has always been a kind and gentle person. He cares a lot for the others, especially people who are closed to him, his family and his fans. Aiden hardly ever loses his temper and is often seen with a gentle smile on his face. This is what makes other people attracted to him. Although he can be quite shy at times, he really likes to make new friends, mostly during when he's collaborating with stars and other famous people. All of these, combine with his appearance, make people having the impression of a feminine young man when they first met him. However, also because of this, some of the more masculine men might not like him, but that didn't bother him much.

Because Aiden has learnt to do things by himself at quite a young age, he wants to get out of his family's shadow to show the world of what he is capable of. Which is why, though doesn't really look like it, Aiden is an independent man. He has his own ideals, but it doesn't mean that he'd just do whatever he wanted to do without thinking about it twice. Although Aiden is someone who's willing to listen to the others' opinions and advice, he's not easily influenced as he looked. He prefers to do simple, daily things all by himself and will only asked for help if he really needs to. Aiden is perfectly capable of taking care of himself and the others without relying much on anyone.

Another aspect that his closed friend can see from him is that he is very hard-working. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if you caught him practicing since early hours until late night, especially when he's about to release a new song or about to take part in a film. This is one of the many aspects that has helped him build up his own career, but not to the point of a work-aholic though, mind you. Aiden is someone who knows when to immerse in his own fantasies, and when to stick to the reality. Appearing like a dreamboy as he would, he is actually quite a realistic person himself. He also shows determination in every steps that he has made and will make in his life. Once he has set his eyes on a goal, he will never stop until it is achieved.

Aiden sucks at lying and concealing his own emotions is not something that he good at. He has always been an honest person, but sometimes he can gets too honest than he needs to, which can leads him to says somethings that he'll regret later. When being forced to lie, people can easily read him by the ways he acts when he isn't honest about something. Which is why his friends will not often share their secrets with him although he has never do so. He is also quite sensitive and can be quite emotional sometimes. At first, whenever he receives criticism, he gets upset quite easily. He can still get hurt if anyone said or do somethings which he doesn't like, but Aiden can control his emotions better now than before.

Due to his softness, Aiden can easily get flustered, especially when his lover is around. He couldn't speak a word and his face turns all red whenever someone, regardless of men or women, trying to flirt on him or something like that. If he makes just a slight mistake when doing something, he'll also feel really embarrassing and will need a couple of minutes to calm himself down. Whereas he is being independent himself, sometimes Aiden can be a bit over-caring with the others, thinking that he's trying his best to help them even when they didn't need to, which can leads to annoyance. But hopefully, not many people can really be mad with him for long, though!

After touching down in LA, Ariana left Owen, citing business meetings in Burbank as the reason for why she wasn't heading directly back to his house with him. In truth, she did have to stop by the office for a few minutes, but it definitely wasn't for as long as she had suggested it was to Owen. She didn't feel bad for doing so. She had spent the last week and most of the past two months side-by-side with him and honestly needed some space. That was especially true since she agreed to spend the next eight weeks at his home. It would have been a much easier decision had her parents not scheduled construction work on their own Beverly Hills home. Then, at least she would have been able to spend a few nights a week at her own house. She supposed that she could always come up with some emergency that called her to the New York apartment or Miami house, maybe even their chateau in the south of France. At the same time, a part of her was excited for the summer. Her attraction to Owen had been growing, and even if she wasn't as committed to a long term relationship with him as he was to her, he was fun to pass the time with. He was a trophy boyfriend in the very least.

"Babe? I'm waiting outside, come get me," Ariana said to Owen through the blue tooth speaker in her car. She had opted to drive herself to Owen's house for no reason besides that she wanted to have access to her car over the next few days. Rather than park it with the rows of guest cars, Ariana pulled past that area and down the driveway to the Collins' garage. She typed in the pass code that Owen had shared with her months ago and one of the doors pulled upwards, revealing an empty space inside. She left the white car inside and as she waited for Owen to meet her on the front walkway, she slipped her phone out of her clutch to text Aiden and Carson.

To: Aiden Chang
Hey Aiden! Are you at Owen's already? I just showed up, hope I see you :)!!

She was nicer to Aiden than she was to most people, but in her defensive, it was hard to not be nice to him. He was always friendly and caring and sometimes even brought out a softer side in her.

To: Carson
Where's my favorite philanthropist?

To: Alexandra
Your favorite sister is here ;)

When she spotted Owen headed towards her in the outfit she had recommended, she squealed and stepped towards him. "I missed you," she whispered into his ear before pulling him in for a gentle kiss. She held the position for a moment, running her hand through his tussled hair before stepping back. Her eyes met his and she was satisfied with how captivated he seemed. It almost made her feel bad about sleeping with one of her coworkers/exes last week when they were in London. Almost.

As they headed towards the house, she slipped her hand into his. "Is everyone here already?" she inquired. She had spotted her parents' BMW among the sea of cars so she knew that they were there, but was more interested in the kids their age. Her brother and sister were probably at the top of that list, but she was also prepared to see Tinashé too.

Wednesday, July 1st | 3:30 PM | Beverly Hills, CA | Aiden's penthouse

Aiden has just merely returned to his own luxurious penthouse in Bev Hills after the movie premiere. It's not like that he's really thrilled with premieres like this now. You can say that he has pretty... well, got used to them. Somehow he missed the feeling of excitement and privileged when attending his first few movie premieres when his career began. But still, this is his job and he got to build up a nice image in his audiences. Aiden didn't get to play the main character this time, but he was satisfied that he has really did his best and put his all in this movie, like he always do with his works. From what he observed during the premiere, everyone seemed to show quite a positive expressions so Aiden secretly wishes that this one will be a success, especially when Aiden got to play a character who was a rebellious teen. This is not a the first time he played a role who was so out of character to him, but he was a bit nervous like the first time, actually. Although it was quite relieving when he found out that he was working with Mr. White, Jamie's father, someone whom he always admired.

Aiden is actually quite excited and is looking forward to the next two months with his friends. All of his belongings had already been moved and now he was about to head for the recording studio for his upcoming album which was predicted to released at the end of this year, though he needs to get back to his penthouse first because a certain someone who was really really special was waiting for him.

Upon entering the penthouse, Aiden couldn't be more happier to see that his lover, Krystian, was sitting on the couch while reading a magazine and waiting for him. Aiden's smiles light-heartedly and then gave the taller man and hug from the back. "Hey, missed me?" He said with a sweet voice as he gave him a kiss on his cheek. It's been a week since they got to meet each other due to their schedules so they gotta find opportunities when they're free and weren't bothered by paparazzi alike to be close to each other. Things have been going like that since they began to date last year.

"Can't you tell? I almost could have thought I'd went to the premiere and brought you home." Krystian smiled back as he ruffled his fingers through the soft locks of Aiden's hair.

"Well, I figured." Aiden said playfully as he went to sat next to his lover, "so, what do you wanted to do now, hmm?"

Krystian then turned to his lover with a teasing hint in his eyes, "You know, I've been kept hungry for the last whole week so of course there's nothing I'd wanted more than a dose full of my oh-so-adorable Aiden..." The taller man closed his magazine and throw it on the table as he pinned Aiden onto the couch, "So, in the mood?"

Aiden sighed as he felt himself being pinned against his couch. It was true that Aiden has always been carefree and innocent, but he wasn't so much of a virgin. When it comes to these things, he was far from innocent though and he can get turned on quite easily. Somethings that he wouldn't want people to know. As much as he wanted to be close with his lover right now, he still got things to do. "I'll have to be at the studio half an hour later so maybe next time. Don't wanna turn you off too, but we're celebrities after all, right?" He said as he gently pushed Krystian away before sitting up himself.

"Bummer." Krystian sighed as he leaned against the couch then shrugged. "Well, don't worry though. Look on the bright side, you're not going to be utterly busy like we're now so I'll make you return double later." He said with a teasingly voice and a smirk. But Aiden just chuckled, "Then good luck holding back until then."

And then, the two of them sat back and talked for a while before it's time for Aiden to go. They'd be saying goodbye for now. Both of them left Aiden's penthouse and parted into different directions. Although both of them are lovers now, things are pretty much the same like when they're still friends. But they both know how influential they're now and their relationship gotta stay in the dark or else a lot would happened.

Wednesday, July 1st | 6:05 PM | Beverly Hills, CA | Departed from ADR Trailer to the Collins' mansion

After finishing what he got to do at the studio, Aiden notices that it's a bit late at the party now so he better get moving for now. He can notices a few paparazzi was hiding in the corner near the studio. Sighing, he was so tired of them. Don't they have anything else to do rather than keep following him around? But that's the price for being famous, he guessed so he better acted normally for now. He stretched his arm and yawned. Finally he got a chance to relax now. It was then that he received a text from Ariana. Smiling, he texted back and sent some new messages for the others too.

To: Ariana
Just finished work and now on the way there. I was a bit late already, didn't I? :(

To: Jamie
Hey, r u there yet? I'm on my way now. Hope to see u there :)

To: Rose
Hey Rosie, Aiden's here. Have you been there yet? See you there, kay? <3

To: Oliver
Wassup, bro? Been there yet? xD

To: Chris
Hey, Chris :) Arrived, no? Hope to see ya there

He tucked his phone back to his pocket and fixed his sunglasses a bit before getting on his Audi A5 Cabriolet, headed for the Collins' house. I guess I'm late... A while later, he finally arrived and already saw that a sea full of cars were already there. Aiden found an empty spot and parked his car. Got off the vehicle, he made his way to the door. If Aiden remembers correctly then he will be the oldest one of the kids, though not by appearance. His parents might already be here too. Stepping through the door, Aiden felt a pinch of excitement lighten up in his stomach. It's been a while since he has ever has a chance to be with a whole group consists of the children of the most influential in the U.S.

Upon entering, he went to find his parents first and greeted them as they introduced them to a certain people. Aiden tried to be as nice as he could. He always wanted his parents to be proud of him. After a while, he excused them and went to find his friends and saw that pretty much everyone was here, except for Rose and Jamie. He walks up to them and greeted with yet another friendly smile, "Hi guys."

How her expression lighted up at the sight of her friend. A sudden change, with not a trace of her earlier look of distaste at having seen Owen’s message. ”Casual dress code? What are we, cavemen?” There was no doubt that Colette had received the memo for the dress code. The pompous comment was hardly an exaggeration for her.

Instantly, the two friends were acting as if they have not seen each other for ages, when in fact it was mere weeks before Colette had visited Shay in Paris. Shay’s arm looped around hers, and the sound of Colette’s laughter rang through the estate. ”I would not mind hide-and-seek at the spa.” The brunette raised her hand as to pluck a pink macaron off of a silver platter. ”So long you have something fruity. The New Yorkers do not know how to make a Sangria to save their life. As she complained, for about the fifth time since her arrival the day before, about the Upper East Side’s incompetence in making beach cocktails, the faint vibration in her purse reminded her of the phone’s presence.

From: Chris
HEY the green mushroom shirt is a classic. Don't hate coco

”Oh my God, he’s going to do it.” The fearful prediction was soon proven to be reality as she raised her gaze from her phone, toward the familiar figure that was making his way toward them. In that instant, she even forgave him for using the name “Coco”. Her brother calls her by a stripper name, her sister a dog breed, tells a lot about each of their characters. ”One of these days, I will sue you for your criminal sense of fashion.” The accusing tone was hardly serious, but at the comment about her twin, the sudden drop in her smile was blatantly obvious. Two months. ”I’ll get the candles, you get the holy water.” If only she could play everything off as a joke in front of her sister. And if only a banishing spell or something of the like can repel evil spirits like her.

”And aren't you looking... bright today,” Amazing how quickly a smile can be plastered onto the bitter expression that was there merely a second earlier. Though of all, she had seen him most recently. ”And you look as scrubby as always.” The returned hug was complete with an expressive raise of her brow toward Shay. The look of ‘I know something that you don’t’ was always there in the presence of those two, but the second she released him, the playful look was gone.

”Hey guys,” The voice sent chills down her back. What was that Shay was saying earlier about heading in? The smile on her lips was strained, refusing to even turn to acknowledge the one that had was closing in on the distance between him and the group. The pair of high-heeled steps that followed was also far too familiar. Speak of the devil. ”What was that about hide-and-seek?” She had lowered her voice to a level that only the girl beside her should hear. The other faint ”Hi guys” was hardly acknowledged as Colette turned her head to greet the incoming trio. Of course the first time she had to see them was for them to be together. ”That’s adorable.” The brunette nearly hissed through her smile. ”I’m going to go vomit now.”

Alexa followed Chris through her house and smiled at his dramatic detour from the room his parents were in. She didn't want to see her's either, so she didn't complain when they circled the room and ended up at the grand stairwell in the front foyer. They weren't the only people present in the entrance room, however. Her sister Tinashé and his sister Colette were present as well. Alexandra wasn't in the mood to socialize with her sister. She knew she was being a drama queen about the whole thing, but especially since Chris hadn't denied the claim that they were sleeping together, she was still annoyed. Tinashé had some nerve to agree with her dad that she not go to Europe just because she wanted to sleep with Chris uninterrupted. Presents were probably the best way to win Alexa over though, so even as she rolled her eyes at her sister's remark, she couldn't stop herself from smiling faintly. "Nick Jonas doesn't compare to the boys I got to hang out with while you were gone anyway." Or more accurately, boy, and as if on cue, he walked in. Carson Koch. The most perfect creature to ever walk the Earth and best first-time she could have imagined. She didn't even notice Oliver walking beside him as the twenty-three year old came in, hugged Colette and Shay, and greeted her and Chris. Her 'hello' wasn't as enthusiastic as she would have wanted but she knew it was just Carson trying to keep their relationship on the down-low.

"Let me have some?" she had stepped towards Tinashé, gently pulling the glass from her sister's hand before waiting for any approval. Suddenly, she didn't feel the need to wait to indulge in alcohol anymore. If she wanted to get enough courage to talk to Carson seriously tonight, she was going to need some liquid courage. She was ready to turn around and follow the group to wherever they were going with drink in hand when the front door open again, this time by Owen and Ariana. She quickly thrust the drink back into her sister's hands out of instinct more than actual fear. She didn't really care if Owen saw her drinking since she disregarded his wishes all of the time without a second thought.

"Too late," she smirked at Shay, who she knew was trying to avoid confronting Ariana for as long as possible. Unlike maybe everyone else in the room, Alexa wasn't on bad terms with Ariana. In fact, with her own sister's disappearance, she had gotten fairly close with Owen's girlfriend. She knew that she and Tinashé had a rough past but if it was okay for Owen to sleep with the girl, she didn't see how it could be that bad for her to just hang out with her. Besides, Tinashé had ditched her. It wasn't like she was getting the "sister of the year" award either. Still, her relationship with Ariana wasn't as strong as her's could be with Shay and regardless of how buddy-buddy she could act with Ari, she had no real alliance with her. "Hi Ari," she smiled as she pranced over to hug the girl. "Oooh, I love your shoes. Where did you get them?"Okay, so maybe she didn't care that much about Ariana as she did about bothering Tinashé still. But at least Owen couldn't complain about her having a bad attitude when, according to the cold air that had come in with the pair, few of the others were pleased to see them.

Owen was little help in preparing her for who she would be dealing with upon arrival. Although she appeared to be cool and collected, she was caught off guard when she stepped inside to find Colette, Chris, Alexandra, Tinashé, Carson and Oliver standing right in the foyer. She had expected to at least have a few minutes to prepare herself before speaking with them and she definitely hadn't thought that she would be dealing with all of them at once. 'There's no time like the present,' she reminded herself as she pasted on a smile and studied each of them. She didn't spend much time looking over Carson, Oliver or Chris. They were all easy to deal with. "It's so nice to see you, Carson!" she exclaimed, her smile turning a bit more flirtatious as she wrapped her arms around him. When she pulled away, she offered a wave to Oliver and then embraced her younger brother, who was taller than her even with heels on, in a hug. "Christopher, I thought Mom threw that shirt out," she said disapprovingly once she had released him and studied his attire. If there was one thing that she and Colette could agree on, it was that Christopher needed a wardrobe makeover.

Her eyes lingered longer on her twin sister who she had to admit, looked nice. Like Ariana, Colette knew that one could never be overdressed for an event and her fashion-obsessed sister never failed to impress clothing-wise. It wasn't much of an enviable talent, as they could all afford to hire stylists to do that for them, but since it was the only talent she thought her sister had, she would let her think it was important. The girl needed something to live for. "You look cute, Collie," she said sweetly, although she was sure her sister would be able to hear the condescending undertone that she possessed. Despite them only being minutes apart in age, Ariana always treated Colette like she was younger and less able than she was. Even if she wasn't that much younger, she definitely did feel wiser that Colette in every other aspect.

Her gaze turned to Tinashé and she genuinely did have the intentions of saying hi to the girl when Alexandra spoke up. Her attention was redirected to the younger girl and her smile became more genuine when she complimented her shoes. "These old things? I actually found them in Collie's closet." She glanced over at her sister again, "Hope you don't mind that I'm borrowing them." The fact that they generally wore the same clothing sizes was one of the perks of being a twin. Even if her sister did object to her wearing them, it wasn't like she was actually going to take them off. She made a mental note to tell Alexa that she needed to lose the heavy makeup later on, but for now, she kept quiet.

Now that Ariana had sufficiently interrupted her introductions, she didn't think it was necessary to go back to Tinashé. She was sure that the girl was still offended over the things she had done to her when they were children and Ariana certainly wasn't going to apologize. It was probably better that there first interactions weren't in front of the rest of the group, especially with Owen standing next to her. She had done a good job of keeping up her good girl reputation around him and if anyone could send that crashing down, it was Tinashé.

After Aiden slipped inside behind them, she waved at him too but didn't want to stick around to chat right now. She needed a martini ASAP and since she felt like her entrance was sufficient, there was no better time to leave than now. "Come, let's get something to drink," she said, tugging Owen's hand.

Tinashé couldn't even allow herself to giggle at Colette and Chris' greetings to one another, nor could she really give Alexandra's ever present attitude much attention like the girl typically wanted. As soon as Owen called to the group and the sound of heels accompanying him filled her ears, she knew they had not moved fast enough and mentally cursed the entire group. She even pressed herself a bit closer to Colette, remaining as discreet as possible because Lexi had given her a look that had Shay two seconds from slapping her like one of her parents should have done five years ago. Taking a sip of her Mai Tai, she finally allowed her eyes to drift towards the one person she didn't want to see: Ariana Rockefeller.

In the past, that name sent chills to her spine and cold, hard fear to her chest and made it hard for her to breathe. She had always felt frozen in the hallways of Buckley when Ariana and her followers would call to her in the halls, the tiny hairs at the back of her neck standing upright as if they could somehow catch the jabs and harsh criticism from girls who probably still wet their bed if some of the rumors had said anything. Tinashé started with Ariana's shoes. Or, Colette's shoes now that she remembered them. "You wore them better, btw," she whispered very quietly to her best friend. Her eyes drifted further upwards, to the tasteful attire Ariana was sporting. While Shay had never been frumpy in her appearance growing up, the constant and sickening admiration Buckley kids showered Ariana with always made her feel bland and unattractive in the former Queen Bee's presence. Ariana's hair and jewelry? On point, as always. Other than Chris, it seemed the Rockefellers were always going to be attuned to the latest trends and fashions. Finally, Tinashé's gaze finally met Ariana after the girl acknowledged Alexandra.

And all she could do was smile, even when Ariana could say nothing.

Now, when looking upon her worst tormentor and the one person who doubted her the most, Tinashé couldn't - for the life of her - remember why she cared so much about Ariana Rockefeller. She couldn't remember why it was that Ariana had been so sought after and looked at like some sort of goddess - some symbol of perfection that could never be attained or even allowed to be close to. She couldn't remember how she could have possibly stood for so long against the biting words and hits, even if Ariana herself had never raised a hand but allowed her posse to do so. Instead of the fear and the anxiety, all she could feel was a chill that had not been present before. It tightened and coiled deep within her, squeezing at something inside of her in such a painful grip that she ended up having to drink some more of the alcohol in her hand in an attempt to alleviate the uncomfortable feeling. It wasn't the hurt from the many nights she came home crying only for her mother to turn the other cheek. It wasn't the many lyrics she had written out on papers that would never see the light of day because if they did, it could tarnish the Rockefeller name and she could never do that to two people who made her Buckley years bearable. And it wasn't the fear that clawed its way up her throat every time she had once wanted to say something at Ariana that could hurt - that could make her feel something other than the unwanted and truly unfounded resentment she seemed to have had for Tinashé.

It was rage.

Unadulterated and unchecked rage that was slowly eating away at the carefully constructed layer of her sanity, forcing her to link back up with Colette in fear that if she did not have someone who could ground her, she'd finally do the one thing she had been wanting to do since she was thirteen and acquired her black belt in taekwondo: whoop Ariana's ass. The smile she gave Ariana was not welcoming. It was not warm and kind like the one she would give Jamie, Aiden, Oliver, and anyone who wasn't Ariana. It wasn't the truly endearing smile reserved for her family and best friends. No, it was cold and seemed to spread over her heart-shaped face with an ease reminiscent to the bitches of Buckley and every mean girl that ever existed. It spoke volumes and try as she might, the only change she could make was when it slipped into a small smirk just as a familiar face popped behind Ariana.

"Hey, Aiden," she said smoothly, the lilt in her naturally soft voice edgier than normal. She wasn't composed like Colette and the others. Years of shoving down her hurt left her not as skilled in that department and she needed to be as far from Ariana as possible. She pulled at Colette, muttering to her, "Project hide-and-seek starting now," she said and unlike Ariana, she didn't' feel like announcing that she was leaving. She pulled her best friend with her further into the house and away from their group of friends and blended in with the various guests until they were near some models and a few actors from the film. "Sorry...I-I-I just..." It was rare for Tinashé to show that she was affected by one person, a sort of shield she had managed to put up between herself and the outside world so that they could never see that vulnerability again. However, Colette was one of the few people she allowed such a privilege and she downed the rest of her alcohol. That action shouldn't have given her as much relief as it did. "It's been so long since I saw her face to face. I wasn't exactly...ready." She shot her bestie an apologetic look before pulling out her phone.

"Hey Aiden, nice to see you." Aiden's arrival was a good opportunity for Owen to pretend he wasn't paying attention to the way that Ariana was interacting with everyone else. He shook his friend's hand and gave him a friendly smile but was soon forced to return his attention to the others.

Owen knew that there was no way that Shay and Ariana being back in the same room together after so long was going to go seamlessly, but for the circumstances, he didn't think it went that poorly. Neither had verbally acknowledged her which was probably better than them trying to sort their problems out right now, or pretending like they had no issues and acting like friends. He had picked up on his sister's peculiar facial expression, mostly because he was watching her closely in case she came up with some nasty comment or tried to shred Ari to pieces right in front of them. Ariana had probably purposely left Tinashé out of her greetings though, so he guessed that the look was justified. No, he knew the look was justified. Even if he hadn't known Tinashé during most of the bullying, the stories had been relayed back to him by her mother and his father. Ariana had made her life a living hell and it was not only wrong, but ignorant, for her to think that she could just suddenly let go of those feelings. Owen knew that, and he was a good enough brother to not expect Tinashé to do so. At the same time, he needed her to be open to at least talking with Ariana about it. If she gave his girlfriend a chance to apologize, maybe they could start over, or just be on civil terms while they all lived together. There may not have been much benefit in a friendship for either of the girls but it took less than five minutes for him to realize that there was no way that he could spend a summer with the two of them hating each other. Their house was big, but not big enough for the two to ignore each other forever.

As Ariana tugged him inside, Tinashé and Colette had turned to walk down the opposite side of the hallway. He wanted to call out to them and tell them that Ariana would join and he'd meet them with drinks in a few minutes, but he refrained. It was too much of a dream, of wishful thinking. Besides, he wasn't sure if Colette and her sister were on decent terms either. The girls fought often, but he had never seen it in more than a sisterly-bickering manner. The way she had ignored his text earlier hinted that maybe she even had a problem with him. Owen had no idea what he could have done to a girl that he considered to be a close friend, but imagined that maybe she was siding with Tinashé in him being wrong for dating her mortal enemy.

He followed Ariana into the most populated room in the house. The servers were beginning to fill banquet-sized tables with different steaming dishes and since today's party was on the casual-side, it was a buffet-styled meal rather than a sit-down one. A passing cocktail waitress offered the pair martinis and although Owen declined the offer for himself, he did take a Manhattan off of the tray for Ariana, and swiftly handed it to her. He hoped having a drink in-hand would put her in a better mood for his next question. "Hey, do you think you can try talking to Shay tonight? I know whatever happened between you two was years ago, but I think she might still be upset about it." He tried to tread carefully, not because he was scared of Ari, but because he didn't want to give her the wrong idea. He didn't want her to go to Tinashé and act like he had given some sob story about how she was still a broken little girl because of the years of bullying. At the same time, he wanted her to realize that Tinashé was his sister and even if he had never brought it up, he hadn't forgotten how poorly she treated her either.

Rose was very late.

She was almost never late for anything, but after going on the tour with her best friend Shay, she was dead-tired. When she had returned to her house in the early morning hours, Rose could only remember crashing in her room. As she drove to the Collins' house, no, mansion, Rose was only now fully awake. She was about 10 minutes from the actual house, but its looming presence could already be felt, and the top was poking through the trees and buildings surrounding it.

Her car was the only flashy thing she owned. Rose hated driving, since her parents had died in a crash, but Shay had insisted on her learning- right after she'd gotten her own license. She only drove herself because she couldn't trust a chauffeur. At least she had a cool car. The only reason Rose was even bringing it was because she might need to get away from the madness. And madness there would be. She knew that some of the girls hated each other with a passion, especially Shay and Ari. While Rose didn't know what it was to have enemies, she could always sense the high tensions between the two. Pulling out her phone when she felt it vibrate, Rose read quick texts from both Aiden and Shay.

From: Shay
Did you go home or stay here?

From: Aiden
Hey Rosie, Aiden's here. Have you been there yet? See you there, kay? <3

The little text heart at the end of Aiden's message made her heart do a little dance. She had had a crush on Aiden for... well, for as long as she could remember. She knew that he only thought of her as a sister, and tried to keep her feelings down. After all, she did have all of her friends to look out for. Even though Rose constantly had problems with putting everyone before herself, she was always supportive of anything her friends did or needed, sacrificing her own time in a heartbeat. She was too nice to say no.

Pulling into the driveway of the Collins' mansion, Rose checked her phone again. Another text from Shay had popped up.

From: Shay
Rosie: Pleaze tell me ur on ur way?

Rose sighed. If she could guess, Shay was probably trying not to claw out Ari's throat. Being on the tour with Owen had been fun, but she could feel the complicated emotions for Ari's boyfriend stewing in her best friend. Noticing that the text was also to Jamie, Rose's eyebrow rose. Her sister was usually on time, but her wallflower tendencies might have held her back from the huge party. Shrugging, she texted back Aiden and Shay.

To: Shay
Sorry Shay. I went home after the tour because I was tired, but I'm back now.

To: Aiden
Hey Aiden! I'm here too. I was there last night, but I went home after.

Rose smiled as she sent the texts. Her meticulous grammar was apparent even in her texts. Walking up the steep driveway, she was glad she'd worn flats. High heels would be torture to walk with up this driveway. A valet took the car after Rose got her bags out. Carrying the two suitcases into the house, she spotted tons of people she didn't know. Her father's movie, of course. Handing her suitcases to one of the staff, Rose maneuvered the long hallways down into the game room. She assumed that was where everyone was gathered, and she found herself correct as she entered the packed room.

"Hello everyone." Rose's soft voice didn't usually make a dent in the conversation, but with the charged emotions she could feel, at least a few of her friends would be grateful for her appearance.

"Uh, no, I forgot. They're in the trunk now." Oliver was caught off guard by Carson breaking the silence in the car. He had been lost in his own thoughts, mostly worrying himself over how the summer would go. Even though Carson lived in his own apartment now, Oliver had spent a few years living in the same house as his stepbrother and wasn't worried about doing so again this summer. He saw Jamie, his best friend, almost every day too, so there were no reservations with her. He and Rose were friendly, mostly due to his connection with Jamie, and he was friends with Shay, Aiden and Owen as well. His relationship with Colette was definitely weaker since no matter how many times they had seen each other, she was always calling him by the wrong name and clearly didn't find him to be of much use to her. They were different, and Oliver was okay with where they stood. At least he preferred it to how he interacted with Ariana, who found out about his blog almost a year ago, and since then, he's tried to avoid her like the plague.

Lastly was Alexandra, Owen and Tinashé's sister. When he moved to LA and started attending Buckley, Alexa was the first girl he ever developed a real crush on. She was popular, came from a world-renowned family, and had the rebellious attitude that he could never muster in himself. She was cool, and he began to idolize her. It probably didn't come across as a big deal to most people since Oliver has made it clear that he's more than willing to get with any girl in the friend group, thanks to his futile yet relentless attempts of seducing the girls. However, his crush on Alexa is more than just corny pickup lines. Her presence makes his heart race and his sentences become jumbled messes. She's totally out of his league and nearly everyone's told him that, but he hasn't given up. What better opportunity to woo her than this summer when he's literally going to be living a few doors down from her?

As exciting as it was, it also put Oliver into a panic. He had spent all morning attempting to work out in the gym in his family's home. He wasn't very physically fit, something that he readily admitted, and after only a few minutes of weight training, he realized that he was probably a permanent lost cause in that department. Instead, he opted to use an exercise bike and swam a few laps in their pool. Following a long shower, he spent the rest of the day packing and over thinking every possible scenario that could go down over the summer. In the midst of it all, he forgot to bring his bags over to the Collins and by the time he remembered, Carson was already calling him down to the car.

Oliver made no attempt to keep up with Carson after he got out of the car as he had to haul his two suitcases inside with him. When he made it through the doors, he found the foyer to be more occupied than he would have guessed. After a few minutes, everyone besides Jamie had showed up, but just as quickly as it filled, it began to empty out. He didn't have time to greet Tinashé or Colette before they separated and disappeared down the hall, or Owen and Ariana who entered the dining area. That left him with Carson, Alexandra, Chris, Aiden and Rose, all of whom he was sure would be going off to do their own thing soon anyway. If Alexa hadn't been so focused on Carson, Oliver would have said hello, but he used that as an excuse for himself to not have to approach her yet. "I'm going to go put my stuff upstairs," he said to no one in particular as he picked up the bags again. He was sure that some of the house staff would have taken care of it, but it was another excuse for him to avoid interaction with Alexa yet, and one that he would gladly take. Besides, his best friend wasn't here yet and if anyone was worse with socializing than him, it was her.

To: Jamie
What's your excuse for missing another party this time???

Between Shay's physical jab and Colette's verbal one, Carson was grinning by the time that Owen and Ariana walked in the door. Unlike both girls, he was happy to see the pair. Owen was his best friend, and while being in the same room as him and Lexi made the guilt churn in his stomach, he tried to ignore it. What happened, happened and as long since Lexi had managed to keep quiet about it up until now, he hoped she could do the same for the rest of eternity. What Owen didn't know wouldn't hurt him and just as likely, wouldn't hurt Carson. He was friends with Ari too, and probably one of the few people who was happy to see the pair unite a year ago. Although he was homeschooled and didn't attend Buckley with the rest of the crew, everyone knew that Ariana was the girl that every guy wanted to not only sleep with, but date. She was that untouchable prize that you dreamed about throughout your awkward teen years so he couldn't blame Owen for seizing the fantasy now that he had the chance.

He stepped forward and returned Ari's hug but was somewhat relieved when she and Owen left the room. Besides Alexandra, it was clear that he really was one of the few people happy to see them together. Since he knew Shay so well, the way that she kept her mouth shut and pulled Colette away from the group spoke volumes to him. He knew that Ariana had caught her off guard, even if she hadn't spoken directly to her. Colette was clearly put off by her presence too, but he guessed that after literally growing up with the former queen bee, Colette was more used to Ari than anyone else. If anyone could combat the girl's poor vibes, it would be the one who shared her DNA.

In the moment after Owen, Ariana, Colette and Tinashé disappeared, Carson lingered in the foyer. Should he chase after the two girls, or follow his best friend and girlfriend into the dining room to socialize? Aiden and Rose had walked in amid the chaos, so as he considered the options, he gave them both a distracted half-wave. Oliver struggled to pull his bags upstairs and in hesitant decision, Carson turned to follow the path that Colette and Shay had taken. "I'm going to go see what the girls are doing," he explained mostly to Aiden and Rose, although Alexa and Chris were still present. He could hang out with Chris any day without things being awkward, but even though no one knew about his night with Alexa, he was going to make an effort to limit his time with her.

The two girls had done a good job at distancing themselves from the group, since it took a few minutes and a few minor conversations with acquaintances before he caught up to them. "Really? You two are going to try to ditch me this early on in the summer? Not cool, not cool." Shay's expression alone showed that she wasn't in a great mood anymore but he hoped he could lighten the mood.

His warning of Ariana's arrival couldn't have come sooner, because moments later, the devil herself was walking through the front door behind Owen. Chris couldn't imagine a pair of people who could bring the mood of a room down more quickly. They were like real life Dementors and he knew that his feelings towards them weren't even as bad as some of the others. Alexa wouldn't be happy to see her controlling, fun police brother, and he and Colette had similar feelings towards their sister. Tinashé didn't seem to hate Owen as much as Alexa did, but her resentment for Ariana probably rivaled Colette's. It was strong and noticeable. Maybe not to most people since she didn't verbally object to being near Ari in that moment, but he caught a glimpse of her frozen smile and knew that she wasn't happy. He didn't blame her, either, but even with Ariana's snide remark about his shirt, he didn't hate her as much as the others. She was his mother in a twenty-year-younger form. They had the same condescending tone, the same judgmental look and the same belief that if things weren't done in their traditional and favored way, that they were being done incorrectly.

"Nope, she hasn't gotten her hands on this one yet," he replied casually to her insult on his shirt. Colette had nagged him about it once today - and tens of times in the past - so it didn't bother him slightly. His sister had already moved on to greeting the others by the time he responded, so he gladly shifted backwards. Luckily for him and all of them, she didn't stay in the room too long and just as quickly as she came in, she was leading Owen out to get drinks. As he glanced around to examine the damage, it was apparent that Colette's lifetime exposure to Ariana didn't do much to ever prepare her for their sister's high and mighty persona. She probably fared better than Shay though, who was pulling Colette away before he had a chance to join them.

That left him with Carson, who almost immediately fled after the girls, Oliver, who was walking upstairs and who Chris honestly couldn't have cared less about, Alexandra, Aiden, and now Rose. "Hey Rose," he said once he heard her voice. He honestly wasn't sure how long she had been standing there. The girl could be so quiet that her presence sometimes went unnoticed. At the sight of her, he realized that Jamie was the only person he hadn't seen so far today. "Where's Jamie?" He wasn't very close with the blonde but after seeing her recently, had found something about her to be attractive. To this day, he still had no idea what that was. She was nearly the opposite of the type of girl he usually went for, and their personalities were strikingly different. So much so that he rarely had anything to talk about with her, but when she was around, he always found her unadorned commentary to be amusing. For someone who seemed to lack interest in conversations and socializing, she seemed to pick up on a lot of things that he, someone so involved in the conversations, never would notice.

Rose made her way through her friends, a few waving or saying hello. "Hello, Chris!" She grinned as he greeted her. She was about to stick around for friendly conversation when her phone pinged again. She read the relieved message from her best friend, and quickly apologized before dashing off. "Jamie? I don't know. Gotta run, though. Sorry! See ya later, Chris! Duty calls- well, Shay calls, that is."

She made her way to the first dining hall, passing through a few others on the way and occasionally taking a small appetizer. When she reached the first dining hall, she waved and hurried over. Carson had made his appearance while she was coming, and the three of them were hanging out. She heard Shay and Carson bickering good-naturedly over bowling, and as he took some food as well, Rose was relieved to see she wasn't the only hungry one. "I'm here. Is the world ending?" She smiled, nudging Shay. "Long time no see. Like, fifteen whole hours."

Rose had left pretty early in the morning, around three, and had been sleeping until recently. She'd loved being on tour, with the exception of the crowded, screaming stadiums. However, there was no way on heaven and earth that she wouldn't support Shay on tour. Sometimes, her obsession with supporting people definitely got in the way of her health.

Jamie never ran late. Never. She was good with schedules and keeping herself organized, so when she left the White home almost an hour after Rose did, it was intentional. She was putting off her departure for as long as possible because she wasn't mentally ready to spend eight weeks with ten other people, no matter how long she had known most of them. Jamie wasn't a social butterfly and her lack of excitement towards spending the summer at The Collins residence didn't stem from anything more than that. Besides Alexa's ever-present attitude and Ariana and Colette's unnecessary comments, Jamie had no other reason to want to avoid the friend group. She had spent the day considering whether to pretend to be sick and give herself at least a few days of the relaxing summer she longed for, but decided against it. With her luck, Rose, being the overly-kind girl she was, would insist on staying home too and she didn't want to ruin her sister's summer as well.

As she sat in the back of a town car, she responded to a text she had received from Oliver ten minutes earlier. Her response was meant to be sarcastic and with Oliver being her best friend, he would catch on. Traffic in Los Angeles was always bad, but when she lived a twenty-minute drive, at most, from The Collins Family, it wasn't the most valid excuse. She also noticed messages from Shay and Aiden, and unlike Oliver's, which she had purposely waited to respond to, she had genuinely forgotten to answer them.

To: Oliver McKagan
LA traffic

To: Tinashé
Sorry, just saw this. I just got here

To: Aiden Chang
Sorry, just saw this. I just got here

She was dropped in front of the house and had her bags brought over the day before, so she walked in empty-handed and went mostly unnoticed. Rather than make her way into the dining hall that seemed to be heavily populated, or seek out her parents and mingle, she headed straight upstairs. Her hope was that she could avoid seeing anyone, find the room that had been chosen for her, and unpack the bags that had been brought over in peace. It was soon apparent that that wouldn't be the case, as she stumbled into her least and most favorite people conversing. Alexandra and Oliver were certainly an unusual pair to be seen chatting together and her brows immediately furrowed at the sight. Not only did she dislike Alexa, but she liked Oliver more than she would admit to herself, and somewhere deep down, there was a part of her that felt like Alexa was breaching her territory. "Wow, did they let you out of rehab early or something?" she remarked with half a smirk as she stepped towards the pair. Jamie normally kept quiet unless someone came for her, but it was inevitable when it came to her interactions with the brunette. At least this time she'd be the one getting the first dig in.

His unexpected and unwanted interaction with Alexa didn't go as poorly as he expected but he wasn't in the clear just yet. After Ariana advised him of Owen's whereabouts, he exited the kitchen in the opposite direction that Alexa had left in. He and Owen hadn't spoken since he arrived a couple of hours earlier and especially with the lingering guilt related to Alexa, he felt it necessary to catch up with his best friend. The large dining room was just a short walk away but it only took one text message to stop Carson dead in his tracks.

From: Shay
Not feeling the bowling tonite. Kinda trying to not vomit after knowing u felt my sister

Alexa couldn't keep her fucking mouth shut. Could he blame her? Did he really expect that teenager to keep such a secret to herself forever? Probably not, but he wasn't ready for it to get out now. What might have startled him more than anything was when he realized that he was more upset with Shay knowing than Owen. All along, he was convinced that the worst of his problems from this would stem from Owen's reaction to it all. He had slept with his best friend's sister. Sisters alone were generally off-limits, but Alexa was his little sister too. She was like a little sister to him as well, which freaked him out just as much. What he had done was unacceptable and unarguably would ruin his friendship with Owen. So why was he more preoccupied with how Shay was reacting?

Instead of seeking Owen out to either make sure that he hadn't heard about what happened, or to attempt to convince him that it was a lie, he was texting Shay in a frenzy. He wasn't sure how he was going to explain it to her, but her lack of response was driving him crazy. He was scared at how nervous he was about losing Shay as a friend, especially since he knew that he hadn't just betrayed her by taking her sister's virginity. He felt like he had almost cheated on her. That couldn't be right though. Tinashé might have been one of his best friends, but she wasn't his girlfriend. She never would be, and certainly not now since she was clearly disgusted with him.

To: Shay
8:51 PM
I can explain
8:54 PM.
Can we please talk in person?
8:57 PM
I know it sounds bad and I'm not denying that I really fucked up. But can you just hear me out?
9:04 PM
Come on
9:11 PM
Can you at least answer me
9:24 PM
Please Shay. Just let me explain
10:08 PM
Look Shay I'm sorry. Ik that what happened is inexcusable but I swear to god that it was a mistake. You know me. You know I wouldn't sleep with Alexandra unless I was out of my mind and that's exactly what happened that night. I drank way too fucking much and honestly have no recollection of what happened that night. I wish I could take it back and I did everything I could to keep it from getting out bc I wanted to pretend that it never happened. Idk how it happened. It was fucked up to do to you and Owen i get that but plz just realize that it isn't something that i would ever do in my right mind. I can't stand you ignoring me. Can you just talk to me in person?

After reading Shay's text earlier, he had left the main house and spent the rest of the party poolside. Aside from their backyard lighting system, it was dark out, but he had perched himself on a chair and didn't have the desire to go back inside if Shay wasn't going to answer him. For all he knew, Owen was searching for him, ready to knock him out, which was all the more reason to stay on his own. He must have been out there for at least an hour or an hour and a half before he finally trudged back in. Luckily, the house more empty than it had when he had left, and he spent a few minutes wandering idly, hoping that his phone would ping with a response from Shay. By chance, he crossed paths with Aiden in one of the hallways.

"Hey Aiden, good to see you." Although he hadn't had a chance to talk to Aiden much earlier and did want to catch up with him, he was too preoccupied to put too much attention into it. "Have you seen Colette or Shay lately?" He figured that wherever Shay was, Colette was sure to be close by. Maybe he could try talking to her, if Shay still wouldn't respond to him.

If Aiden had answered him, Carson wasn't paying attention enough to hear it. Just as he finished asking his question to Aiden, his phone buzzed and she sighed audibly at the sight of Tinashé's name. He frantically slid his finger across the screen to unlock it before reading her text which simply stated that she wasn't going to tell Owen. It was certainly a good thing but it didn't leave him feeling any less uneasy. He wanted to talk to her and explain himself. He needed to know that she wasn't mad at him. "Uh, never mind. Colette just texted me back. I'll see you around, man." It was a lie, but just a white one. He only claimed that he had been texting Colette because he didn't want Aiden to know that he was looking for Shay so frantically. Their conversation was short and ended abruptly, something that Carson would probably feel bad about later on, but for now, he was way too preoccupied with the situation at hand.

Since Shay's response hadn't answered any of his inquiries about talking in person, he decided to call her instead. She had to be somewhere in the house but with its sheer size, it could take him an hour or more to find her. As he expected, no one answered the call but just as it went to voice mail, his phone pinged with another text. This time, it had the answer he was looking for. She was in the theater and without wasting a moment, Carson was on his way there too. He was almost on the opposite side of the estate but with his probably alarming rapid pace, it took him only five minutes to reach the theater doors.

He stepped inside silently and hovered in the doorway for a good minute. Shay was sitting on one of the couches with her back to him and a glass of wine in hand. She wasn't crying, she didn't seem to be shaking with rage, and she wasn't with Colette or Rose. All three of those probably would have been deterrents for him, especially with how nervous he already was.

He cleared his throat and stepped inside. "Hey." He was still a couple of feet away from her but wanted to make his presence known before he got too close. His intention behind that was so he wouldn't startle her, but maybe also so that if she snapped at him, he'd have time to run. He was a foot taller than her and nearly one hundred pounds heavier, but according to Owen, her years of taekwondo training made her pretty fierce. Carson didn't doubt it and definitely wasn't going to test it out tonight.

A movie was playing on the large screen and he almost felt like he was intruding as he carefully positioned himself on the other side of the couch. He wasn't sure what to say, since he had tried to explain himself via text, or where to start, so he figured that he should just get to the point. "You know I don't like Alexa like that." At this point, he wasn't even trying to apologize for sleeping with her sister since he felt like that was what he was going to have to do to Owen. With Shay, he felt like he needed to justify that he didn't like her sister as much as her.

Wednesday, July 1st | 10:30 PM | Beverly Hills, CA | Collins' mansion

It was such a long and fun night for Aiden and he really did enjoy it. However, throughout the party, he hasn't got much chances to interact with the others as anytime he tried to he'd be blocked off by film reviewers or some other celebrities. Aiden has always been a socializing person which is why he really feels the need to keep those people's companies. After all, his career plays an important part in his life and he gotta do pretty much anything he can so that can continue to become more successful than he already had. To young celebrities like him, it's important to leave a good image in the ones who are the top stars not just in the States but also having their names known throughout the world. Works can be tiring, but the results are very promising. Aiden knows he still has a long way to go if he wants to have a perfect stand in the entertainment industry, which is why he always tried his best everyday, knowing that he still has his friends, his family and especially his lover behind to support and aid him in every step that he has made, is making and will make in the future.

After the party has been over and the guests have returned back to their homes, the rest of the kids also retreated back to their room and rest for the day now until another big break tomorrow. Just thinking about it makes Aiden felt excited already. Although he didn't show, he's looking forward to spend the day with the other boys and girls. He's still the oldest of them after all. Aiden has had a bath and now he's rolling on his king-size bed, trying to put himself to sleep. But, yeah, he still hasn't got used to the atmosphere around here yet so he couldn't possibly sleep. It was still quite early anyway. Sometimes he don't gotta sleep until 5:30 AM, anyway.

Aiden reached for his phone at his bedpost and began to text Krystian for a while. Thinking that he should find something else to do before he can get himself to sleep, so Aiden rises from his bed and went out of the room. The only thing that he could do right now probably is to wander around the house a bit. It's impossible to reach and find every room that this mansion could offer so he figures that he could at least go to some nice places like the kitchen or the main hall.

As he was walking on the halls, he was thinking that most of them had rested for the night now, or maybe the girls are having some nightly girl talks, which is why he was a bit surprise when he happened to came across with some one. It was Carson. It was rather... strange that a person can seems to be quite a rush at night like this. When Carson was approaching him, Aiden just brushed his hand through his hair and smiled light-heartedly, "Oh, hi Carson. I didn't think that I'd be able to see you here at the time like this."

Carson asked Aiden if he was happened to see Shay or Colette earlier. This makes Aiden think back to earlier. He did catch a glimpse of Shay somewhere in the halls. Though before he could answer, Carson's phone rang and he said it was a text message from Colette. The younger man replied him in a rather rushy manner. Perhaps somethings had happened between them? This raises a bit of curiosity in Aiden, though he's definitely not someone who likes to peek his nose into others' business. "Well... okay, I'll see you around. Have a nice evening, Carson." Aiden, still with his innocent smile, replied as the younger man quickly headed with a different direction with him.

Aiden then walked his way to the kitchen. Having a look around, Aiden nodded to himself. It was quite a nice and cozy place though. Perhaps he should get up a bit early tomorrow to bake some cupcakes or something for the others. He's always been cooking things for Krystian though he has never made anything for his friends so hopefully they'll like his cooking.

Walking away from the kitchen, Aiden found himself in the main hall. He hasn't came across with anyone else. And next to the stairs was a medium-sized piano. It was a big mansion after all so it is no surprise that you can manage to find a piano even if its owner wasn't someone who can play it. It might just stood there for the purpose of decoration, Aiden presumes. Suddenly, he felt that he wanted to play some piece of music. Hopefully that's no one gonna mind.

With that thought, Aiden walked to the piano and sat down. His fingers trailed through the frets as his eyes examined the piano more careful. Pressing some frets at first, his hands began to play a song. He once met a Japanese DJ who composes this song and found his work to be beautiful. Though this song only consists of repeating melodies, it was quite hard to master and it took Aiden a month to be able to play it by piano fluently. As his hands gracefully moved through the frets as Aiden was really into the melodies. He closed his eyes and enjoys every note that came from the piano. Although, only for a short moment, Aiden could imagine that he was playing on a stage, wearing a formal suit with thousands of spectator watching him. As the song goes on, his fingers trailed and played the final notes as Aiden bring it to a swift, yet graceful end, bringing him back to the reality that he was just sitting in the Collins' mansion's hall.

After making sure that her hair was pulled back just loosely enough to not get in her way and be somewhat stylish enough to make it through the day, Tinashé headed into one of the home's many kitchens only to be surprised at seeing Jamie. Despite her best intentions yesterday, she had not been able to speak to directly or even see the blonde. Granted, it probably had something to do with Jamie having never left her room for the summer. Still, Shay didn't know that and genuinely felt a hint of remorse at leaving the party early without at least saying hello to Jamie. Owen being upset that she abandoned him? She could give zero fucks? An actually intelligent individual whom Shay liked to sit and talk with? That was someone she could feel bad about. She smiled a bit for the one of many summer roommates she was bound to interact with now that they were all together. "Hey, Jamie. Sorry about not saying hi last night," Shay said as she stepped into the spacious area. She loved the kitchen and there were a good number of times when she was on tour that she ended up cooking for everyone in her bus because she hated the idea of fast food or stopping at some restaurant. Her eyes ran over the kitchen pensively before she hummed. The smell of waffles, only the start of what the kitchen staff would do since she and Lex typically weren't always up at this time, filled the air. "Making more food and a few drinks if you want anything." Shay turned to the fridge to at least make a few drinks when a few of the kitchen staff came back, inventory in their hands.

"Good morning, Miss Kachingwe. Miss White." Shay offered them the same smile she bestowed upon Jamie. "Morning, fellas." Hans, one of her favorite chefs to work with, smirked at her as she pulled out some strawberries and a few other ingredients. "I'm guessing you need assistance with breakfast?" Shay beamed. "Yeah, if you could get started on the mimosas and maybe some refresher drinks, that would be great. Ooh, and if Charmaine could go back to making waffles in case anyone else wants them, that would be awesome. Oooh, and also, get someone to send a mimosa to my sister. She's in my room and is probably gonna want one. Everyone else could take a break for the rest of the morning." And no one argued and went about heeding her warning. Whenever Tinashé decided to take over the kitchen, it meant that she needed to be in the kitchen. The staff had learned some time ago that trying to thwart her only left them getting plates and the like thrown at them, and Pierce begged for that not to happen again. Smirking at the memory, Shay pulled out her phone again so that she could send some text messages before setting it down on one of the counters. It was probably a shame that Shay didn't include Ariana in that mass text, but she also didn't talk to the eldest Rockefeller. She didn't have her number, so she needed to send Owen a message about his girl.

To: Owen, Aiden, Lex, Chris, Rose, Oliver
Making breakfast if any1 has a preference.

To: Owen
Also, if u expect me 2 b nice 2 ur girl, I'd advise u send her ass 2 come get food.

Leaving the drinks and waffles to the other two chefs, Tinashé was set to get her other ingredients when a lone figure stood in her way. Shay didn't even move at that, only taking in her friend's classy yet still somewhat disgruntled appearance. She could tell Colette had not had a good night whereas Shay, despite everything that occurred, slept pretty comfortably. "Well, damn, no 'good morning, bestie?' No 'wow, you actually look like you tried this morning.'" Shay exclaimed, putting on a mocking impression of a typical Colette act. It was probably just a bit off, but it was her trying to get the tension of yesterday out of the air. Especially considering Jamie was still in the dark. Shay hummed thoughtfully as she stepped around Colette to get some eggs, milk, cheese and a few other ingredients for omelets. She was also going to sauté some potatoes and maybe some stand-alone scrambled eggs and meats in case no one wanted an omelet. It was probably a lot, but Shay needed the action. Needed the business. If there was anything she knew, it was that she could do very well in the culinary arts world if her music career did not work out.

"And there's nothing really to talk about...right now," she continued, setting everything on the kitchen island and then going back to find some vegetables. Satisfied with what she had, she set to work by chopping. "They fucked, neither of them even remember getting in bed together, I was mad and talked to him, and that's really been the end of it. No secret relationship anyone should know about and for the love of all that is holy, do not tell anyone else." Shay tossed Colette a look before returning her gaze to the task at hand. Her phone buzzed on the counter with a response from Alexandra and Carson, conveniently, and she smirked at his message followed with a roll of the eyes at Lex's. A beat later, a shadow passed over her face and she sighed, pausing in her onslaught on the spinach leaves she had just washed off. "I have absolutely no idea what to do right now, Bitchlette," Shay murmured, not because she was trying to keep anything from Jamie but because her voice suddenly was smaller with feelings that it was too early in the morning to be confronted with. However, it wasn't like she could stay in denial forever.

Thursday, July 2nd | 6:00 AM | Beverly Hills, CA | Collins' mansion

Aiden has gotten up. Sleeping in has never been a habit in his dictionary and he's always being known for rising up with the sun ever since he was young. It was just 5:00 AM when he woken up so after brushing his teeth, making up his hair a little bit and changed into a better attire, he went out of the mansion for some jogging and working. Aiden figured that he was the only one got up at that time anyway so he didn't go and check on the others. As he made his way out of the mansion, the only ones who he came across with are some maids and butler of the mansion.

Aiden took a deep breath at the morning fresh air as soon as he stepped out of the house. He has always enjoys the atmosphere here at Bev Hills in the sunrise. Within a busy lifestyle of a celebrity, Aiden can always find smallest of things that can make him feel relaxed and happy. He stretched his arms as he began to jog from the mansion around the streets near there. Not many paparazzi and stalkers are going to work around these times so you can say that Aiden got plenty of freedom. As he was jogging, it seems that there are still people that realized him on the street. He just smiled back and waved his hand to them as he kept running.

With that said, Aiden jogged around the neighborhood for an hour or so before returning back to the Collins' mansion. As he returned, he swept the sweat drop on his forehead before entering. More people seemed to have risen from their slumber, but Aiden hasn't see any of his friends yet. Aiden was thinking about taking a nice, warm bath first and decided what to make for breakfast after that. He's got a long day to go and he's not going to waste it. In fact, this summer is going to be epic.

Thursday, July 2nd | 9:30 AM | Beverly Hills, CA | Collins' mansion

After immersing himself in a nice, warm bath full of bubbles and lavender scent, Aiden felt more refreshed than ever. It's been a while since the last time he's got a chance to relax and stretched his muscle like that and he knows he's gonna treasure every second of it. After wandering around the mansion a bit, Aiden has managed to memorize its rooms and structures alike. At least he's not going to get lost in this seemingly endless mansion.

Suddenly, Aiden realizes that his stomach is growling with him. Well yeah, everyone's expected to get starved after a long, nice work out like that. If he was going to make something for breakfast now this is the good time as ever since the others might be awaken soon and it might be nice to make a first impression by making somethings for them to fill their stomachs. Aiden has always been a thoughtful person anyway so you can't blame him for caring about the others so much that sometimes he did forget to take care of himself.

With that thought, Aiden made his way to the kitchen. Well, he wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't anyone here just yet, except for a maid who is cleaning around. "Oh, good morning, Mr. Chang." She held her mop next to her and bowed to Aiden, "I supposed that you were having a great time around here. I'm sorry that Hans, our chef, hasn't up yet so there aren't anything for breakfast for now."

Aiden smiled and brushed his finger through his hair. It was quite a habit of himself when talking with others. "Oh, it's okay. There's no needs to be too formal around me. And yeah, I was thinking about making something for breakfast for myself and the others, anyway. Is it okay if I use the kitchen? I supposed that no one would mind. You can continue with your job."

The maid nodded as she continued with what she was doing. Aiden then cracked his knuckles and grabbed an apron nearby then wear it on before looking around the kitchen. "Okay, let's see what can I do..." There are probably thousands of ingredients around the kitchen anyway and he's not in the mood to make something too complex anyway. In the end, he decided to make some red velvet cupcakes. Well, hopefully the others would enjoy it though.

Aiden grabbed the ingredients he needed and put each specific ones into two different bowls and make the batter for the cupcakes. After he finished making it, he picked two large baking pans from a drawer on the counter and dozens of cupcake liners. Putting the liners into each cups of the pans, he filled the batter into the liners with a good ratio for each. When all the liners had been filled, he carefully carried the pans to the oven and started baking them. Nodded to himself, Aiden smiled to himself in a satisfied fashion. For now, he can leaves the baking for the oven to take care of. Krystian has been bombing his phone with text messages since morning and Aiden couldn't possibly leave his lover hanging like that so he stepped outside to the garden, still wearing the apron while replying for Krystian's mountain of messages.

A while later, Aiden made his way back into the kitchen after receiving Tinashé's text message and found that quite a few of his friends, including Tinashé herself, were there. It seems they're doing different jobs though the atmosphere is normal. "Hi guys, seems like you guys are enjoying your morning, isn't it?" Aiden smiled light-heartedly as he walks in, gaining everyone's attention. He turned to Oliver and Jamie, "Didn't see you two last nights but hoping that we're going to have a great day." Aiden said cheerfully and turned to Colette, "Hey Colette."

Aiden then grabbed a pair of gloves and turned to Tinashé, who was standing nearby and cooking for her own. "Just got your message. Well, I hope that I can borrow your kitchen. Would you mind if I'm helping a little bit? Just wanted to do something for you guys while I'm still here." Aiden scratches the back of his head and giggled innocently. He puts on the gloves as he took the pans out from the oven. Aiden picked a small bamboo stick and dug it into a cupcake to check if they've been baked well enough.

While waiting for the cupcakes to cooled down, Aiden began to work on the frosting. While he was doing his job, he turned to Tinashé and asked the younger girl with yet another bright smile, "So, got any plans for today, Shay?"

In Owen's case, ignorance was bliss. His day might have been less than perfect due to the stress that Alexandra always brought upon him, but it ended in the best way possible: next to Ariana. He was already on his way to his bedroom when she texted him that she was headed there too, and once the door was shut behind them, his stress disappeared too.

He hadn't even slept for very long, but when he woke up at seven-thirty, he felt well-rested. He wasn't tired enough to fall back asleep but also didn't have the energy or desire to pull his arms away from her warm, bare skin. He remained, drifting in and out of sleep, until almost ten o'clock when she woke up. "Morning, beautiful," he smiled at her as she rolled over to face him. As he studied her barely-awake face, her disheveled hair and undressed form, he couldn't help but to think about how lucky he was. He was lying in the same bed as the girl that every boy their age swooned over during high school, and even to this day. Regardless of them dating for a year now, he still admired her like the first day they met.

After a few minutes of cuddling, she pulled away from him to shower. His eyes didn't shift from her until the door closed, at which point he decided that he should probably shower too. Unlike her, he slipped on a pair of boxers after leaving the shield of his blankets. Not only was his bedroom cold, but he also needed to find an empty bathroom since she was in his, and well, no amount of scantily clad modelling shoots could make him comfortable with the possibility of running into one of his siblings of friends naked. Before he left his room, however, the bathroom door swung open. She was only peeking her head out now, a shyness that was unnecessary since they had spent countless nights together, but also cute enough to make him smile.

"Babe?" It was already obvious that his attention was focused on her, so she continued without waiting for a confirmation that he was listening. "I didn't want to bring it up last night, but it's kind of been bothering me all morning." He was confused at her nervous tone, but aside from taking a step closer to her, he didn't cut in. "Last night, before I came up here, I was looking for Christopher and one of the staff told me that they had seen him in the theater. I went in and... I don't even know how to put this... but I think I saw Carson and Shay making out on one of the couches." She paused, probably expecting him to shout some expletive and storm out to kill Carson, but he didn't. He needed a second to process what she was saying, but after he repeated the sentence a few times in his head, he concluded that it couldn't be true. The theater must have been dark. It could have easily been someone else. Ariana had even said herself that she only thought it was the two of them. She wasn't certain and Owen had enough trust in his best friend and preferred sister to take that bit of doubt as enough reason to think the claim was false.

"Carson and Shay? No, they wouldn't be doing that. Shay went to bed early last night, anyway. There's no way that could have been them. Maybe it was Rose..." Though he was speaking aloud, he was speaking more to himself as he tried to reassure himself that there was no way that it could have been the two of them. He shook his head to confirm it to himself again. "You're probably right. I'll meet you downstairs once I'm ready. Make me some tea?" She smiled when he nodded and just as she disappeared behind his bathroom door, he turned to head out to one of the hallway bathrooms.

His shower took far less time than her's and he was dressed and headed downstairs in twenty minutes. Ariana's suggestion that there was something going on between Shay and Carson was still bothering him, but he was pretty certain that there was no way it could be true. Many of his friends have tried to make a move on Tinashé before, but Owen couldn't even imagine Carson doing something like that. He had grown up with Shay in his life for as long as Owen had. Granted, they didn't live together and weren't bound by parental relationships, but he wanted to believe that Carson would see her as being off-limits too.

By the time he reached the kitchen, he had convinced himself that the claim was bogus and was in the process of picking his mood back up. The smell of a homemade breakfast waiting for him made that all the more easier and as he stepped inside the bustling room, he found many of his friends in there as well. Colette, Tinashe and Aiden were hanging out by the counter tops, while Jamie and Oliver sat at the long table. "It smells good in here. What are you making?" he said as he passed by Shay, Aiden and Colette. Aiden seemed to be making cupcakes or some type of dessert, while Shay was cooking a meal... probably omelettes, he decided after a quick glimpse of her ingredients. He waved at Colette, but decided not to bring up the text she had sent the night before. The last thing he wanted was for more drama to ensue, especially when Ariana's earlier claim was still itching at the back of his mind.

He took a seat at the kitchen table, opting to wait to make Ariana's tea until the stove area was less occupied. Jamie and Oliver were talking to each other, so he offered them both a quick wave before returning his attention to the trio standing near the oven. "Ariana's showering but she'll be down in a minute." He doubted that any of them were as interested in seeing her as he was, but it was his way of answering Shay's text message from earlier. Besides, he did want the two to talk at some point today. They needed to sort out their issues before the summer began. "Do you girls have any plans for today?"

Upon hearing footsteps, Tinashé shook her head as if to clear herself of unwanted feelings and set to continuing her task. She had already pulled out four pans for the stove burners with only three of them having oil in them. The vegetables and meat she had lined up for omelets were mostly cut up, so she tossed a healthy amount for the first omelet into the first pan. The sizzle dispelled the air between herself and Colette, and allowed for her to smile upon hearing Oliver's voice. She turned to him with a playful glint in her eyes. "Nothing much, hot stuff." She replied to him with a wink before glancing at Colette. "We can talk more later," she explained, giving the other brunette a pointed look. Them trying to discuss something that Shay was purposefully trying not to allow to get back to Owen was only going to end with Owen blowing up at everyone. And it was too early in Shay's summer for her to allow that to happen.

Instead, she focused on her cooking, seasoning the vegetables and ladling in the egg concoction in a separate pan so that it could hold the vegetables. She was making Colette's first and made it just the way her best friend liked it. Hans, sensing that she was getting close to finished with the first omelet, slid over a stack of plates and Shay only smiled appreciatively. Once she had tucked the cooked foods into the egg and folded it, it slid beautifully on the first plate and once that was finished, Shay handed Colette her plate. "You should probably get a glass of that limeade Hans is making. It helps with hangovers." Tinashé gave her friend a pleading look, begging Colette to drop the conversation only to turn to fully distract herself with Aiden's presence.

"Hey, love. Not a problem at..." Shay trailed off upon seeing Aiden pull out red velvet cupcakes. She and her fellow artist weren't particularly close, but she definitely loved him more of his desire to do something for the group included her favorite cupcakes ever. She offered Aiden a small pout. "Dude, you can't be tempting with cupcakes this early! Not my faves! They look awesome." She exclaimed, grinning at Aiden good-naturedly. This was good. This was great, in fact. Yesterday had been plenty stressful and she wasn't anticipating the others' (more Lex and Ariana than anyone else) presence. She was good with dealing with someone as simple as Oliver or someone she could be creative with like Aiden. Plus, she would have her girls by her side and could possibly forget all about her brother not -

Tinashé hissed, "Shit," under her breath upon hearing Owen's voice. Gritting her teeth and not answering Aiden's inquiry about her plans for the day, Shay had to take a deep breath. She had promised both Alexandra and Carson that she would keep their secret, which now that she thought about it, was an easier feat said than done. Not that she had never kept a secret from Owen before. There was that time where she had brought a guy over and drunkenly made out with him in Owen's bed, but stopped it and cleaned up the room before Owen would ever find out. There was that time when she flirted with one of his other guy friends and definitely exchanged some...less than appropriate texting sessions. There were a few other occurrences, but none as serious as this. Not to mention her own reaction to it and how Owen was probably still a bit concerned about her texts. She tried hard to not allow the tension to be too visible in her form when Owen's questions sailed through the room and upon finishing the second omelet, grabbed the fresh plate and walked it over to the table, tossing her brother a slight smile. "Nothing too big. My girls," and she pointedly emphasized the "my" out of the statement, "and I are getting pampered at Caudalie today and I thought we could really just relax on Abbot Kinney. See some clothing stores, maybe a bookstore." The last part was added for Jamie's sake, partly, but also because Shay needed to add more to her own library. "I'm sure you've got something planned for the guys, but I thought we could meet up for dinner at Providence and then have a little fun at Greystone Manor."

Shay didn't fail to give Owen a pointed look as she slid the plate in her hand to Oliver nor did she really care about Ariana. Shay changed her mind. She didn't want to be nice today, not someone she could give two fucks and a quarter about. To her sister she could be forgiving and attempt to not want to throttle. To Ariana? It was bad enough they were in the same house, she didn't want to deal with her any more than she had to. Not after last night. "And don't think that I'm not having fun this summer 'cuz you wanna be a stick in the mud," she griped before casting her gaze over Jamie. "And don't think you're excluded from having fun with us today, Jamie. I haven't seen you in a while, ma'am." She spoke that time with a smile before heading back to the stove and working on another omelet.

As one would expect, Carson was more than caught off guard when Alexandra grabbed his face and pushed it against her own. The kiss didn't last for more than a couple of seconds, or the amount of time it took him to realize what she had just done and for him to pull away. What was she doing? Was he speaking a different language when he had just told her that he did not like her like that, and that them ever having any type of romantic relationship was completely out of the question? Either that, or she was delusional. The way that she looked at him with those innocent puppy eyes and giggled after he frantically pulled away pointed towards the latter. As the son of a billionaire, and a popular, good-looking guy, Carson had a decent-sized ego but he didn't think there was anything that captivating about him to make Alexandra obsessed with him. He was sure that she had slept with other guys before, probably even dated some, so why was she so unable to let this go? Even if in some alternate dimension he did have feelings for her, it's not like Owen wouldn't completely destroy the relationship. And he didn't have feelings for her! That was the entire point of this.

He had no idea how to respond to what she had just done, but without realizing it, he had stuck his hands out in an attempt to block any future attacks. "Alexa... no..." He was still caught off guard and considered reiterating his lecture, but if that hadn't worked the first time, it probably wasn't going to work another time either. Instead, he figured that he would have to be more upfront about it. "You can't just do that! Did you not hear what I just said? I don't like you like that, Alexa. I don't want to kiss you, I don't want to hug you, I don't want to touch you. You're a kid and my best friend's little sister, it's completely fucked up for me to see you as anything more than that and I don't. So can we just stop this? Things don't need to be awkward since we're going to be in the same house together all summer, but can you just get it through your head that there will never be anything between us? Never." He was standing up by now, backing away from the bed as if he was expecting her bed to explode at any minute. He still wasn't trying to be mean but maybe now he was beginning to see why Owen got so fed up with her. She didn't take no for an answer and didn't seem to hear anything that she didn't want to hear.

There was no way that he could continue the conversation. He had to get out of that room and out of the house too. Even if he could compose himself enough to go down to the kitchen and socialize with the others, what was he going to do when Alexandra came down bawling her eyes out and her finger pointed towards him. Even if Owen was still ignorant to the secret, Shay and Colette weren't, and it would only take a scene like that to intrigue everyone else.

He headed back to his room, swapped his pajamas for a tank top, board shorts and sandals, and headed downstairs. Before brushing through the front door to find his car, he sent out a few texts. He couldn't pull a Chris and disappear without at least letting everyone where he was going. That would only be more suspicious.

To: Shay
Ur sister is crazy. I'm omw to the beach so I'll meet up w you later I guess?

To: Owen, Aiden, Chris, Oliver
I'm heading back to my apartment in Malibu to grab a few things that I forgot. LMK where you guys are going today and I'll meet up with you.

Owen shot Tinashé a look of disapproval as she emphasized what her girlfriends were doing today. It didn't take much to interpret that as her way of stating that Ariana wasn't welcomed, or at least that Shay wasn't going to make the effort to invite her. He shouldn't have expected that Shay and Ari would just magically get along now that they were living together but he wished they could. It would make life a lot easier if he didn't have to worry about either girl snubbing the other. Not only for the sake of avoiding drama, but he also didn't want to have to pick a side. Ariana was his girlfriend; someone that he loved and saw as someone he could eventually marry, while Shay was his sister; someone that he was expected to be loyal to no matter what. Both relationships were so important to him that he couldn't imagine having to choose one over the other.

He rolled his eyes as she accused him of being a stick in the mud. If being responsible and cautious was equal to that, then so be it. Someone in the family had to set the boundaries and at the very least, respect the law. He wasn't sorry that he didn't approve of underage drinking or recklessly club-hopping at bizarre hours of the night. That wasn't his scene and he didn't want it to be his sisters' either. "Your plans sound fine," he replied, shooting her one last look that he hoped signify the message of "please don't start this early in the morning". "But only half of us are going to be able to go to Greystone. You know that Jamie, Oliver, Chris and Alexandra are underage. They won't get in." It was wishful thinking. From his own experience dealing with Alexandra, he knew that the right connections could get a twelve-year-old into even the most exclusive club in Los Angeles and if anyone had the right connections, it was this friend group. He was actually pretty sure that it had been Greystone Manor itself where Alexandra and his mother had been photographed doing a line of cocaine in a VIP section. Still, he wasn't going to approve of them going when it was illegal. He knew it probably wasn't going to change his strong minded sister's plans, but he was going to try.

The omelet that Shay had slid to Oliver smelled good enough to remind Owen that he was hungry. He followed closely behind Shay as she moved back to the stove to work on another omelet. "Would you mind making some green tea for Ari?" he asked one of the kitchen staff members who looked uncomfortably displaced with their job being unnecessary. It had probably been a while since they hadn't been needed to cook. Tinashé was the only one in the family who had cooking in her blood and Owen didn't trust Alexandra to use the microwave, nonetheless the stove, so the kitchen staff had been essential more than usual while she was on tour. He returned his attention to his sister when the kettle was set on an unoccupied burner. "I'll take mine with cheese," he grinned, in an attempt to lighten the mood. Plus, he really did want one. "And you're still not off the hook about last night. What happened? You went to bed that early?" He was curious about what had happened with the glass breaking, or whatever that story was, but there was also a part of him that wanted confirmation that she hadn't ended up with Carson last night. He didn't think it was true but this would just verify that.

Just as he thought of Carson, he found his phone vibrating with a message from him. Owen found it to be a bit odd that he would be running off so early, without even getting breakfast, but at the same time, it wasn't so conspicuously strange that Owen put too much thought into it before texting back.

To: Carson
Shay's making omelets just stay for breakfast and then we'll all drive over there w/ u. I figured we could go to the beach anyway

When Ariana woke up, tangled in Owen's limbs and bed sheets, she felt comfortable. There were no butterflies or rapid heart beats, but she was comfortable next to him. It was good and bad. There was a part of her that loved Owen for who he was, but she also knew that she didn't want to wake up to this feeling every morning for the rest of her life. She would have to put up with it for the rest of the summer, or at least until Colette returned to New York, but the part of her that loved Owen felt bad that she was leading such a nice guy on, when she knew there was no future in sight.

There was enough guilt there that she almost didn't tell him about his sister and Carson. Almost. She knew his eyes were following her undressed body as she slipped out of his sheets and behind the bathroom door. She rested against it for a good minute before deciding that she needed to say something. Not so much to protect him or his relationship with Shay or Carson, but to protect her own image. She was going to have Oliver release the photos eventually. It would make her look like a good girlfriend if she had tried to warn him about it beforehand, she decided. So, she swung the door open and peaked her head out around the side of it. "Babe? I didn't want to bring it up last night, but it's kind of been bothering me all morning. Last night, before I came up here, I was looking for Christopher and one of the staff told me that they had seen him in the theater. I went in and... I don't even know how to put this... but I think I saw Carson and Shay making out on one of the couches." The look on his face told Ariana that her point had been made. Whether he wanted to believe it or not, it had shocked him. When he denied the possibility of it being true, she smiled warmly, though it was laced with mischief. "You're probably right. I'll meet you downstairs once I'm ready. Make me some tea?" She was good at dropping bombs like that, stirring the pot, and then disappearing like she had no involvement at all. As Owen wearily turned around to fulfill her request, she snuck back behind the door and grinned. This was going to be fun to watch play out.

She showered, blow-dried her hair, dressed and was walking downstairs in a half hour's time. Most of the others were already in the kitchen, but Ariana noticed that Carson, Alexandra and her brother were missing. Rose was as well, but Ariana wasn't close enough with her to notice. "It smells amazing in here," she noted cheerfully as she stepped in. She was well aware that along with Aiden, Shay was also cooking. All the more reason to compliment it. She could be sweet when she wanted to be, especially when she knew Owen was in earshot. "You look cute today, Collie. Feeling better?" Her smile was just as innocent-looking as the tone of her voice, but her sister would probably know that it was more of jab at the intoxicated state she had last seen her in. "And have you seen Chris? He hasn't answered my texts since like... last night?"

She rested her phone on the counter top as she wrapped her arms around Owen's neck to kiss him, probably for a few seconds longer than the other's would feel comfortable seeing. Really, she only pulled away when she heard her phone ping. It was Alexandra, claiming that she was sick and needed a staff member sent up to check on her. Ariana hummed quietly to herself as she pondered an answer. It was quite possible that the young Collins was just as hungover as Colette, but Ariana would humor her with a genuine response anyway. First, she would tell Owen. "Alexa said she isn't feeling well. Did she eat yet this morning?" Maybe Shay's cooking had given her food poisoning. It wouldn't have surprised Ariana, who had no plans on eating Shay's food anyway. It was unlikely that she would poison her own sister's food, but Ariana was sure that Shay was crazy enough to try something so ridiculous on her. She didn't want Owen to think that she was hating on his sister though, especially not after she had vowed to try to make things better between the two of them. "I can bring her up some food. Can you make something for her, Tinashé?" She smiled as she acknowledged the other girl. Owen couldn't complain about anything. She was being nice and cordial. She was acknowleding the sister that hated her "for no reason", while also dealing with his bratty little one. The perfect girlfriend, or at least a better one than her alcoholic sister would be.

To: Alexandra
Of course <3

After he had entered the kitchen, so did Owen and Aiden, though it appeared that Aiden had been awake before most of them. He was tending to something in the oven, which soon surfaced as cupcakes. And God, did they smell good. Had Tinashé not followed Owen to the kitchen table seconds later with an omelet in her hand, he probably would have gotten up to try one of Aiden's cupcakes. "Thank you m'lady," Oliver responded to the deliciously smelling plate being passed his way. It didn't get rid of the tempting, sweet aroma of cupcakes, but by the looks of how many Aiden had made, there would surely be some left over by the time he finished his breakfast.

He was only a few bites in when he realized he had forgotten a drink. Rather than flag down one of the kitchen workers in an unnecessary and lazy move, he got up and poured himself a glass of lemonade. Unlike the others, Oliver had spent most of his life living a life that was the opposite of lavish. Sure, it was easy to get used to the good life when he moved in with his father six years back, but a large part of him still remembered what it was like to actually have to do things on his own.

Thankfully, he was seated back at the table by the time that Ariana walked in. It was pathetic and he knew it, but he was kind of scared of the girl, especially when she was the one person holding his secret. She was preoccupied with Owen, and probably her sister and Shay, to even look at him, and he preferred it that way. In an attempt to further distance himself from having to interact with her, he glanced back towards Jamie. If there was ever a time that he wanted the blonde to be more social, it was now. "Are you actually going to go to Gresytone Manor tonight?" Oliver had never been to a club. He wasn't famous enough on his own to get past the bouncers and didn't have friends that went to them either. He definitely wasn't against it though, assuming that it was probably an easy place to pick up girls. If Jamie was going to go, it would be one more incentive for him to go as well.

The tranquility of her solitude was eventually interrupted, but in one of the better possible ways, since rather than it being Ariana, Alexandra or Colette, it was Shay who walked in. While they were quite different, she liked Tinashé. Rose was close with her and it had led to Jamie eventually learning that Shay wasn't just the wild party girl that the press chalked her up to be. She was a genuine, kind and down to earth girl who just happened to love throwing down at a club every once in a while... or multiple times a week. Regardless, Jamie didn't mind her company. She had a mouthful of waffles when Shay greeted her, so she waved in response as she finished chewing her food. "I went to bed pretty early, so I probably missed you," she explained when Shay apologized for not seeing her the night before. As far as Jamie knew, Shay had been present during the entirety of the party and it was her that had rudely avoided socialization. "And I think I'll be full after this, but thanks anyway." She regretted filling her plate with waffles when it became apparent that Shay was making omelets. Jamie could personally vouch for how decadent those were.

Soon after Shay's arrival, most of the others began to flood into the kitchen. Colette, Oliver, Aiden, Owen and Ariana. She was only really interested in conversing with Oliver, but she acknowledged him only with an eye roll when he sat down. Did he really think that flirting with Shay would get him anywhere? She was far beyond his level and Jamie was sure that Oliver already knew that. He was so corny, but it never failed to make the corners of her lips tug upwards into a smile. She shrugged her shoulders when he asked what the plans were. She didn't have any of her own and hadn't spoken to anyone else, aside from Shay just minutes before, all day. "No clue." The question didn't go unanswered for very long, because once Owen joined the pair at the table, Shay followed and explained to him that she already had a schedule lined up for the girls for the day. Aside from the bookstore, none of the others stops on the itinerary really intrigued her, but especially after Tinashé specifically called her out on having to attend, she didn't think she could decline the invitation. "I'll be there," she smiled weakly, moving a piece of waffle in a puddle of syrup on her plate. It couldn't be that bad, she supposed. She liked Shay, her sister would probably be coming, and she had spent a lifetime ignoring spoiled brats like Colette, Ariana and Alexandra for her life. She could do it again today.

When Owen and Shay left her and Oliver alone again, she relaxed a bit. His question didn't give her much down time though. It was one thing for her to go along with a day of shopping and pampering, but she doubted that anyone actually expected her to tag along to Greystone. That had to be one of the last places anyone would expect Jamie to be at, and she was relieved when Owen objected to the minors attending with them. She doubted it would be enough to sway Shay against going, but at least someone agreed with her. Oliver, however, seemed interested in going. Since when did he like clubs? "Uh, no," she nearly scoffed at the absurd question. He knew her better than anyone else. Of course she wasn't going there, and she didn't expect him to either. "We can go see a movie or something." That was more realistic. She wasn't interested in seeing any of the movies currently playing, but she would rather pay ten dollars for a ticket and sleep through the entire thing than go to some flashy night club.

Alexandra was used to being shouted at and berated by her brother, so maybe that was why when Carson did it, she didn't even flinch. Her eyebrows lowered slightly in a confused manner, but she didn't try to stop him as he stormed out of the room and despite her hopes, didn't swing the door back open moments later to apologize. She was startled that he had raised his voice and acted so passionately in a bad way, but it didn't strike a nerve in her. Possibly because she wasn't really processing anything yet today, or because maybe she wasn't as hurt as she would later act to be. Carson was gorgeous, successful, and he took her virginity. She was definitely attracted to him, but most girls her age probably shared that attraction. There had to be more than just physical attraction to make her act so brazenly. Maybe she felt like she had to like him since he was the first person she slept with, and she didn't want to be a slut who just slept with people with no strings attached. Shay had already claimed that role in the family. Maybe she didn't care if it ruined Carson's relationship with Owen. For once, things wouldn't work out perfectly for her goody two shoes brother. She wasn't sure what it was at this point, and definitely wasn't ready to admit that she was fighting for Carson for any reason other than "true love", but her reaction to his dismissal spoke for itself.

She probably remained on Shay's bed, staring at the door for three or four minutes before finally shifting herself onto her feet. She had received a couple of text messages since then. Most of them were from friends asking if she wanted to go out later that night, but there was a response from Ariana in the mix too, agreeing to send someone up for her. She was no longer in the mood to bother one of the servers but as she slowly stepped out of Shay's room, arms filled with shopping bags, she found one ready to knock on the door for her. In hand, he had a mimosa ready and waiting for her. How could she say no to that?

"You can leave it for me downstairs. I'll be down in a few minutes," she advised curtly as she side-stepped him and headed down the hall for her own bedroom. She only remained in there for long enough to toss the bags onto her floor, slip out of last night's attire and change into a bathing suit. For the first time in days, her mind wasn't racing with the thought of being with Carson. His words were slowly sinking in, but not to a point where Alexa was really going to let it go. There was still something, or some things that were pushing her towards continuing her pursuit of him, and the thought of Shay being jealous of her was a major one. Alexandra wasn't even sure if she thought that her sister actually liked Carson, or if Shay just didn't like that he liked her and wanted to ruin that, though. Regardless, she wasn't letting it get to her in the moment. She had learned after crying herself to sleep last night that it was just too draining, especially when she had just woken up.

When she stepped into the kitchen, it was apparent by the contrast in attire, that none of the others seemed to have "pool time" listed on their day's schedule. She wanted to go back to sleep and get a tan, so laying outside would be perfect for that. Still, she was social enough that she did kind of want someone to hang out with all day. She was sure that Shay had planned a busy day for the others and that once they left, it would probably be hours before they returned to the house. Everyone aside from Carson, Chris and Rose were in the kitchen. Chris was the only person that she was really in the mood to socialize with, but she had no problem with Aiden right now either. Plus, the smell of cupcakes he was standing in front made her mouth water as soon as she stepped into the room. She ignored her siblings, Colette and Ariana as she approached Aiden by the stove. "Can I have one?"
