Lizzy Madden

A blood manipulating anatomy student. Who knew?

0 · 642 views · located in New York

a character in “Super What?”, as played by Saint Crash

Description

Character Profile

Full Name:
Elizabeth Madden, but only to those who have a death wish. To the rest of the world, she is Lizzy or Maddy.

Age:
Twenty

Gender:
Female

Image
Image

Appearance:
Lizzy stands at a rather average five foot nine in height and has slender, yet sturdy build. Her hair is naturally black in colour and when loose, reaches midway to her elbow. Generally she keeps most of it tied up out of her way. Her eyes are light blue and usually defined with some degree of eyeliner. Lizzy's skin is fair in complexion; despite her dark hair, it is enough to warrant sunscreen on a bright, extraordinarily sunny day.
A corset enthusiast, Maddy maintains a good posture at all times. Slouching irritates her to see; the thought of letting her own back into that position positively horrifies her.

Disruption:
Lizzy's room mate at college was suffering from constant harassment from two stuck-up bullies. Having had enough, she confronted them after school. A quiet word of warning with one of the girls turned into a screaming match, which then turned into a brawl. She grabbed a shard of broken glass, slicing open Lizzy's arm, then out of instinct, Lizzy grabbed something and... the next, she was in cuffs, being read her rights for attempted murder. The wounds didn't match the glass fragment, and the arresting officer claimed that he'd seen Lizzy holding an unusual looking dark red knife just before he pulled her away. The weapon was never found, but it was deemed a result of her being a 'mutant'. She was excused from a charge of attempted murder, but was charged instead with GBH and sent to C-CLASS.

Power:
Haemokinesis:
The power to manipulate blood, whether it's from oneself, others or free-flowing.
Lizzy can shape, control and manipulate blood at will. She can change the density and properties of blood, which allow her to clot blood, induce haemophilia, or create weaponry, like knives. By coming into contact with someone, she can manipulate the blood inside their bodies as well. Her ability applies to animal blood as well, however, she was a weaker effect on it. Lizzy's ability also allows her to detect anything unusual in a person's bloodstream, from drugs to infections, to conditions affecting the blood. Her ability also grants her one hell of a good immune system.

Strengths:
Powers: Lizzy can endure high levels of blood loss, since she generates blood at a faster than normal rate. She can also preform well in low-oxygen environments as she can manipulate her blood into conserving oxygen levels.

Language Skills; Lizzy speaks English and French fluently, and knows some Spanish.

Archery: Lizzy once took lessons and isn't a bad shot. However, when she says archery, she means target shooting, not field archery.

Balance and Flexibility: Lizzy trained as a dancer once. She left the class but kept up with most of the exercise, enduring that she kept a supple, healthy body. Her balance is good, but she believes to be merely be a result of good posture.

Lizzy also isn't afraid to get down and dirty. If she needs to go swimming in a muddy swamp, then she will march straight in and go swimming in a muddy swamp.

Weaknesses:
Lizzy is prone to anaemia if she overuses her power. She is also not immune to bleeding out if she cannot clot the wound.

Lizzy is highly allergic to nuts, once going so far into shock that her heart stopped. She used to carry medication with her, but that seems to have gone missing...

Personality:
To the outside world, Elizabeth Madden is simply another 'goth' or 'emo' waiting to grow out of a difficult phase. She has always kept to a small, closely knit group of friends; while in C-Class she mostly kept to herself. She is intelligent, not exceptionally so, but she has a deep thirst for knowledge and for learning. She is a keen biologist; she was studying anatomical sciences when she was arrested. For all her brains, she remains an impulsive individual, and is stubborn enough to stick by her decisions. Lizzy is also very resourceful; a requirement growing up as the eldest of six children, and takes pride in her ability to fashion a sling from a pair of socks or entertain a group of ten year olds with three marbles and a bag of flour.

Lizzy may come off as slightly cool or aloof to her peers. Rather than being snooty, she suffers from SAD; social anxiety disorder. This condition renders Lizzy a selective mute in most situations where her 'circle' of friends is not involved. She also craves security and someone that she can rely to fall back on. Friendship is something precious to her, she finds it difficult to befriend people due to her condition and due to her impulsiveness and stubborn nature, it tends not to last very long. She is fiercely loyal, and unafraid to sink to any depth to prove herself or to defend a friend.

Likes:
Poetry, especially that of Plath and Adrienne Rich.

Tea; Red, green and the occasional Earl Grey.

Being 'different'; It's been instilled since youth.

Music. Everything and anything she can listen to. Except trashy pop.

Thrift Shops; If you even mention that song, your face will soon meet Lizzy's fist.

Medical Dramas; Even that one in Seattle. That's just too funny.

Rom-Coms; ...What?!

Dislikes:
Trashy pop; Just... no.

Cheap/Weak Tea/Coffee; Who likes warm water to drink? Actually, warm water would be nicer. ''>_>

Expensive Chain Stores; At least in the cheap ones, you're only cutting and stitching up five dollars.

Bio:
Elizabeth Marie Madden was the eldest of six children, born in a lower-middle class estate on the outskirts on London. Both of parents were self-proclaimed mutants; her mother could phase through objects, her father manipulated plant life. She was twelve when her family suddenly moved to Minnesota after one of her younger brothers developed the ability to make things explode. Despite growing up in a family that included twins with super speed, a pyromanic brother and a muscle mimic sister, Lizzy had a relatively normal childhood. Her abilities were seemingly tame when compared to her siblings. As a result, Lizzy was one of three children who wasn't home schooled and attended high-school.

Despite her condition, Lizzy performed well at school, becoming an ace student and joining the track team, as well as science and writing clubs, and in her senior year, became president of the poetry appreciation society. She graduated with a scholarship and to her parents delight, attended university. She was the first, mutant or non mutant, in her family to do so. It was while at university she met up with others like her and her siblings, and began testing the limits of her ability, with little success. It was only after one of her friends was involved in an accident that Lizzy became aware that she could do much more than make people pass out or detect anaemia. She began experimenting, and growing in confidence, discovered that she could manipulate animal blood, and reverse the process of coagulating. It wasn't until the unfortunate incident several months ago that Lizzy discovered her ability to form weaponry and solid objects from blood, be it her own or that of others.

A pale hand came up as she ran a calm hand through her onyx locks. Never did she think Dodge's plan would actually work. It was pretty obvious that he didn't make it out alive. He was a good guy. The two had conversations on several occasions, he would throw little 'advances' her way periodically. Not that he wasn't attractive, Sonya just never put any thought into it with the situation. When he first told her about the plan she was a bit apprehensive about things and denied it right away. But when the word 'freedom' came about -- things changed. She trusted Dodge to get her out safely and now that she was and he was gone... nothing seemed worth it anymore. There were no time for tears. There was no time to mourn or grieve. None of the others cried from what she gathered. They didn't even discuss it yet. Would they ever?

The brunette began to stare off vigilantly down the road. Her thoughts began to run rampant as impending conflictions came to her. Of course the level of trust among the group was a little on the low side but she'd digress. After the ordeal with the race and being dragged away to the detention center, Sonya was all but agreeable. She always wondered if her parents were looking for her... if they even had the slightest bit of worry to take action. Probably not. They work so much neither one of them would have noticed her disappearance until the second week. Perhaps the government spoke with them already to tell them what a freak their daughter was. It scared her half to death when she discovered her own abilities, so if her parents ever found out she could only imagine their reaction.

A few members of the group began to discuss their current situation of not blending in. And it was true enough. Sonya longed for a hot shower... hell, she would even appreciate a hot sponge bath if possible. Hungry. Enervated. Unhygenic. All essential words that could be used to describe her concurrent position. Previously, she had been internally 'healing' her stomach to avoid the hunger pains but it still didn't change the fact of needing water. But because she was using too much energy; it was time to be normal for once and just experience what many unfortunate adults and children feel day in and day out.
The red-haired woman began to speak and Sonya watched her carefully before glancing back to the opposite side of the road. She made it priority number one to stay as far away as humanly - in this case as supernaturally - possible. Sonya heard about her powers.

The police confiscated all her possessions at the time of arrest. Money was not an option... But stealing. As the Asian man stated.

Quoted in an abnormal voice. 'Excusable under certain circumstances.'
Nonetheless, the young woman followed obediently to their new destination.

Things will get better.

Right?

But another one of the members began to talk. This time it was one of the dark haired guys who powers were still unknown but the more he spoke, the more it became clear.

"Burglary and stealing aren't so far off. We still need clothes... bringing an innocent person into this-" She shook her head, now trailing off with her thoughts. "Besides.... who would stop for all of us... that alone would make me keep going."

That was the first time Sonya had opened her mouth to actually say more than two words. But she shut it immediately. She wasn't very vocal to begin with as to bypass gaining much attention. And that's the way she wanted it. Did anyone even know what her ability was? Probably not considering she never displayed it in front of them, and it did not require anything special (glowing lights, chants) to recuperate herself.

Kleo rolled his eyes at the girl who spoke. Not surprising. Most people in the institute generally kept clear of him. The "troublemaker". He couldn't blame them, he was constantly causing a ruckus and getting into trouble. After all, how was one supposed to stop a guy with abilities like his? In fact, he remembered it was for that reason Dodge had come to him. Though unlike most of the others, he talked to him casually and friendly like. At first Kleo just thought he was an idiot, and after his proposal, he just thought of him as a crazy idiot. The more he talked to him though, the more crazy brilliant it sounded. And really, how could he just stay out of something like that?

It looked like this rag tag group of weirdos weren't exactly keen on each other though. Kleo wasn't informed on what everyone did, only parrot boy. "We only need one person to pull over a car. Obviously no one's dumb enough to stop by for a group of ten or so possible gang kids." He folded his arms. "Besides. The 'innocent' isn't going to be hurt or anything. We're just...borrowing him and his services." He looked towards the group, who just looked unsure of each other, much less what to do next. He looked to Jason. "So radio man? You're the competent one. What should we do then?"

50 hours 30 minutes 10 seconds...That was how long Arian had gone without stopping. 'It's got to be some kind of record' Arian thought absently, wiping the sweats on his forehead. He was exhausted. He was tired and above all, he felt his power had been shot down to hell. He could even barely feel it. It wasn't good in his book. Not at all. Arian risked a glance at his friend - Sage Mecurious and then at their strange, dysfunctional group of superhumans. He had seen all of them in the C-CLASS but he didn't remember their names or feel any particular attractions toward them. He stuffed his hands in his pocket, shifting uneasily. The group had stopped for some reasons and as the others began to discuss a way to survive, Arian was forced to painfully acknowledge his physical state.

His legs were hurting because of all the running he had done. His back was covered in sweats. His right hand was bent in an awkward way that might suggest it had been broken. He was filthy and hungry. His lungs were protesting loudly with each step he took and Arian felt like he was about to faint. He sighed softly and tried to suppress a complain. It wouldn't help anyone. He itched closer to the group and cocked his head to one side, listening to them attentively. Some of them suggested burglary...'It's a good idea' Arian's mind whispered. The teenager bit his lips and stared at the ground sulkily. He didn't feel like talking. However, no talking meant that the group would do something he wouldn't approve. 'But talking also means drawing attention to yourself' Another part of Arian's mind said.

Arian pondered the pros and cons of the situation. On one hand, he could just shut up and do nothing. 'They aren't my responsibilities... I don't have to take care of them...' One the other hand, he was into this already. He might need their help one day as he didn't believe living on his own when there were people, normal people, hot on his heels was a good idea. His stomach growled softly and Arian frowned. Well, it looked like there was a winner already. He stepped closer to the group, reluctantly left Sage and his protection.

"- is a crime, and a very impolite thing to do. But like most impolite things, it is excusable under certain circumstances." The male with strange voice said and Arian found himself agree. While he didn't believe in senseless stealing and/or killing, this was technically self-defense. If they didn't do it, they would die. Simple as that. Arian raised his left hand, intending to tap the male one's shoulder so that he would focus on him but then, he decided against the idea and just dropped his hand again.

"-possess the guy and we can DRIVE the rest of the way to the city. I mean, stealing shmealing, we need to get there soon, and guess what? We're not exactly America's most beloved. We're hungry, tired, and helpless. Some harmless burglary won't kill us." Another male spoke. Oh, it looked like Arian was missing some parts of the conversation because he wasn't paying attention to them. He had to focus on them more then. He didn't like missing out something important. Besides, he may learn something important about their powers, too.

"Burglary and stealing aren't so far off. We still need clothes... bringing an innocent person into this-" A female spoke and then shook her head, her dark hair moved with her. "Besides.... who would stop for all of us... that alone would make me keep going." That wasn't true. Arian wanted to tell the girl but...doing so would mean more attention. The government was dangerous. If they captured his group, he was sure they would be killed, or worse, experimented on. It was his brother's fate and he was sure it wouldn't be his fate anytime soon. Not that he could help it.

"We only need one person to pull over a car. Obviously no one's dumb enough to stop by for a group of ten or so possible gang kids. Besides. The 'innocent' isn't going to be hurt or anything. We're just...borrowing him and his services. So radio man? You're the competent one. What should we do then?" The previous male said again and Arian felt a surge of anger toward him. What did he mean when he said 'you're the competent one'? Was that an insult toward Arian that he wasn't competent enough? The shadow user forced himself to calm down. No, it wasn't an insult toward his intelligence. The other male just had a lower...IQ than him and didn't think when he spoke, that's all.

"...Running away is wrong, too... If you believe our actions are not...just, you can leave..." Arian said softly, his cool glare directed toward the female. He turned his attention toward the group and said, still kept his voice soft and quiet "I believe it's best if we take some certain...measurements first. Obviously, with our clothing, we are very noticeable." He eyed the group and continued reluctantly "...I believe it's for the best if we...disguise ourselves first...Then, we can take the bus to the city...We shall need money and food, too..." He looked at the house not too far away from the group. He gestured toward it vaguely "There might be money there" He concluded, casting his eyes down. Well, that went 'great'. Now he had just officially glued a sign on his forehead that read 'PLEASE NOTICE ME'. He may just as well jump up and down and start yelling that he was here. Arian bit his bottom lip, waiting for a respond.

Rather she lose her cool, Sonya remained quiet, convincing herself that he was suffering from delusional thoughts due to lack of rest. It was pretty apparent that the man had misinterpreted her words. She was only giving her viewpoint if she were a bystander driving down the road. 'That alone would make me keep going.' But 'oh well' she thought, Sonya would not waste her time trying to spell it out for him. Sighing in frustration at the uncanny situation was the young woman.
And where the hell did he get off claiming that the 'voice' guy was the most competent. He was really asking to be looked as the 'incompetent' one. Sonya simply scoffed, before turning her callous stare elsewhere. 'Clearly isn't you.' Sonya voiced internally and sarcastically at the 'meatballs' (Kleo) negligence.

Keeping her sight on the ground did not last long before thy traveled over to gray spheres(Arian). For a minute she glanced down at the apex of his hand, just noticing the oddly shaped structure before he placed them in his pockets. Whatever his ability may be surely meant he could not perceive the unusual visage of it. Sonya never used her ability on the supernatural. There was no sure way it would even work unless she tested it. But then again. Now was not the time to play 'hero' just yet. For now he would just have to suffer if he could feel pain at all.

This time, that same guy decided to let his own voice be heard. Obviously addressing her in the same-like manner as the other did. Though this time it hardly bothered her. In fact all she could do was shrug a lazy shoulder. "You seem to misunderstand my words... Leave?" She wanted to laugh. "And go where? I might not trust most of you but I know its best to stick together." Her lids drifting lowly over her cerulean hues as they fell upon him. "...It's what Dodge would have wanted." And that was it. Plenty of talking for the day and some to make up for the other two.

As he continued to talk a throbbing sensation swarmed her temples. She denied healing it, instead rubbed at the side of her head soothingly. The house did seem a bit more reasonable... at least there would be food, shower, clothing even.

And just when she thought the tirade was over, yet another one of the men chose to speak out. Where he was going with this, she did not know. But as he concluded, referring to a section of Dante's Inferno - a story she had read many of times - the brunette narrowed her eyes determinedly. Standing around would not get them anywhere.

"Okay. I suggest we go with his plan." Sonya said surely, taking a slender finger and directing it to Arian. "It'll give us mostly everything of what we need right now."

Why was she still talking? Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut?

Definitely not good.

Woah, woah, woah.

Jay balked at the idea of separating. That was probably the worst idea ever. Even if they were more conspicuous, it was a well-known fact that strength came in numbers. Besides, if the police ever caught up to them, half a group of 11 getting away was much more feasible than half a group of 6.

"Let's split up," he said, mimicking one of the many 'team leaders' of countless horror movies, "You go that way, and I'll check over here." After making footstep noises, he let loose a scream followed by monster eating noises. Perhaps not the most tactful, but it got the point across. He crossed his arms, standing straight, and snorted out his nose. "Preventative healthcare," he concluded.

But, it looked like stealing clothes was the way to go. He nodded at Sonya's (he did know her name) suggestion. He pointed at the one house he had been eyeing and raised an eyebrow: "Here?"

Riley looked as the group bickered on what to do next and all he heard was raiding abandoned houses or basically highjacking a car and it seemed like the first option would sit easier on his mind. He turned his head to see the other Asain was mimicking a scene from any horror movie and with the usual ending of the monster killing them. It took him a couple of seconds to figure out what he was trying to say and he nodded his head in agreement.

"Yes, that would be a likely scenario if we should split into smaller groups," Riley said, he notitced that the other Asain was pointing at the houses and nodded in agreement again "That would be a greater idea rather than splitting or highjacking a car, so I will be siding with them in this plan."

Austen observed the group quietly, listening to each of their suggestions. It seemed silly to not steal; if they walked into a city looking like this, the authorities would be called in seconds. Though she didn't want to take things that weren't hers, not doing so could very likely end in her death...or worse. And so Austen had no qualms with committing a few crimes, if it got her out of this mess.

How had she ended up in it in the first place? If only she hadn't been such a child and ran off to the forest like she had. What personal demon possessed her to the point of using her powers? If she'd just grown the hell up and gotten over herself, she'd be sitting in her little house, sipping a cup of tea while reading a good book. Instead, she was trekking across God knows where with people she didn't know and with little chance of survival. Why had Dodge gone and gotten himself killed? The group wouldn't stay together without him as a leader.

As they talked about their uniforms, Austen glanced down at hers, hoping no one would really take notice of how hers differed. Instead of the gray shirt and pants, she was dressed in a white jumpsuit that went down to her ankles and up to a stiff collar that sat protectively around her neck. Her hands were enclosed in the normal tight, leather gloves and her feet were adorned with thick combat boots.

No one really payed her much attention, though, so hopefully it could go unnoticed, or perhaps they wouldn't care. As they calmed down, Austen shuffled a bit closer, not wanting to miss out on the plan. She stood among the group now, resisting the urge to lower her head. These people were different just as she was, she had no reason to fear them or their opinions.

With these thoughts burning in her mind, she spoke up. "Perhaps we should move quickly; I don't feel safe out in the open like this. There's no telling how many people are looking for us right now."

Jay wanted a plan. He had followed the last one to a tee, even when things fell apart. But with another girl suggesting they move quickly, he couldn't disagree. They needed to act. And standing around wasn't going to help.

So what was the plan? Steal and then get a bus? He needed a plan. That was probably what gravitated him so much to Dodge, besides being roommates. Dodge always had a plan.

"New plan," he said, picking and choosing his words and sewing them into a patchy sentence with various sources, "we find...the clothes...we take...the clothes...and THEN we...catch a bus. Sound good? Great. Let's get this show on the road!"

Without waiting--since he, after all, had a plan, and that was what mattered most--he speed-walked over to the empty house, hopping nimbly over the fence and peering into the windows. Empty, as he had thought. The door was locked, but checking under the dead-plant filled pots revealed the house key. So predictable. In a matter of seconds, the door was unlocked, and he waved at the group before disappearing inside.

As he began to slowly fade into the background, Arian let himself analyse the situation on his own. He felt a spark of surprise went off when the female that he had not-so-subtle jabbed earlier agreeing to his plan. He ignored her words, determined not to let whatever she told him bother him. He had, after all, misunderstood her words. Arian restrained himself from rolling his eyes. As per usual, Sage had got to say something dramatic. 'And to think he has learnt his lesson that talking dramatically won't always get the result that he wants after the time he has spent with me...' Arian remained silent as usual.

"Let's split up, You go that way, and I'll check over here." The male with the strange voice said and then created a funny noise. Arian felt his lips twitch slightly. That was silly. 'It gets the point across, doesn't it? Then it's not silly...' Arian's mind said coolly and he found himself agree. That was an effective way to gain someone's attention and besides, it also loosened some of the tension in the air. A moment of silence passed and Arian allowed his gaze to drift to the other people in the group, the other people that hadn't contributed their ideas.

There was a female with black hair. She looked tired and she had sat down on the ground, her pants rolled up to expose a wound. Oh, the wound was already healing. What was her power again? It looked fascinating. Then another female, a very shy one apparently, looked at the group like she depressingly wanted to talk but no word would leave her mouth. She opened the mouth and then closed it. Then opened it again...and she had already snapped her mouth shut. Arian felt a twinge of sympathy toward her. He used to be just like that, too. Too shy to voice his words and dead afraid that someone would notice him. He itched closer to her, whispered in the quietest voice he could muster. "...You can contribute your opinions, you know..." He retreated to give her back her much needed personal space and turned to look at the last girl.

Despite not showing it, Arian was quite observant. He had noticed the girl several times when he was at the C-CLASS already. The girl was...different, different from most superhumans he had met. With her beautiful blonde hair and white, soft and glowing skin... She was beautiful. If Arian dared to say it, he might even have a crush on the girl. 'That's impossible... I have suppressed my emotions long ago... I can't... It's... illogical!' Arian thought harshly. He had also noticed that the girl was wearing a different uniform. It covered too much skin... like she didn't want anyone to touch it or something.

"-should move quickly; I don't feel safe out in the open like this. There's no telling how many people are looking for us right now."

"I agree." Arian said immediately and then bit his lips and looked down. He had agreed too fast, too hasty, unlike him at all. That was just... asking for troubles. He didn't want anyone to notice his emotions. They were his weaknesses. He cleared his throat and tried again, this time much slower and a lot colder than he had intended to "...I mean, yes, it's a good idea. We have already taken a short break earlier to recover our strengths and therefore, it's possible the government is already getting closer. Perhaps... it's for the best if we move quickly to the house, take what we need, maybe even a shower and then go."

He paused and looked around, waiting until their attentions were on him. Arian sighed mentally. Why did he have to keep drawing attention to himself? If this behavior continued, he would seriously need to have his mental health checked. An escape couldn't possibly change him that much, could it? When he felt the group's eyes landed on him, Arian closed his eyes and continued. Well, 'Let's get this over and done with... I want a break already...'

"Also, we will need to know each other's... names, powers, strengths, weaknesses... We will need to stick together... at least for the time being... It's best if we know something about the others" There, he said it. 'Dodge will probably agree with what you just said...' His mind said and Arian just shrugged mentally. He didn't know the man personally too well. He only knew the mastermind behind their escape lived in the same room with the male with the strange voice. And he had died before his brilliant mind could actually know that he had succeeded in planning an escape from one of the most secured place in the US.

'Even if the escape is actually very sloppy...' The logical part of his brain added and Arian nodded, agreed. Yes, even if the escape was sloppy. Arian took a step back, feeling uncomfortable with the attention he was getting. He took a step and stood next to Sage, half a step behind the other male for extra protection. He raised his hand to tug the other male's sleeve and whispered "Come on, Sage... take charged... before someone else-"

He hadn't even finished the sentence when the boy with the strange voice said quickly "New plan, we find...the clothes...we take...the clothes...and THEN we...catch a bus. Sound good? Great. Let's get this show on the road!" 'So arrogant...not even waiting for anyone...' Arian's mind said and he agreed with it once again. However, Arian wasn't about to voice his displeasure anytime soon and he followed the other one, quickly slipping into the house next. That was good. He hadn't even needed to use his power. That was just great. He poked his head out and looked at the group, silently telling them that the house was safe and that they should come in.

Kleo sighed. He simply kept quiet, fading into and out of the conversation. He was done inputting at that point. It was clear no one cared about his thoughts. Apparently they had finally decided on a plan which was to raid the house for all it's worth. Which was fine, at least he knew now that they were going to get stuff done now. Not to mention they'd have a chance to be inside now. He followed the radio kid inside, looking around. Wasn't a bad place. Old timey, clean, conventional...sort of reminded him of his grandma's house.

He took a look at himself. His clothes were grimy and old. Yup, he figured he knew just what to do the moment he saw the stairs. Kleo had casually walked up the stairs, though he took it three steps at a time, making it look very much UN-casual. It took him a few missed turns but he had found the bathroom and quickly locked himself inside. "Whew, nice hot, shower time." He said to himself as he threw his clothes to the floor and started the faucet. It took a while, but the shower was nice and warm. You couldn't believe how good this felt for him. Those first ten seconds were just heavenly, almost like he was having all of the past two days literally melt off of his body. Boy if only he could just stay there forever.

The events from two days ago were still fresh in Epiphany's mind.

She had heard about the escape plan a week prior to when it happenend. Apparently, it had been going around for while, and she had just heard about it. The leader of the escape plan was an intelligent man, who insisted that everyone call him Dodge. He had the power to predict things that were going to happen to him, which puzzled Epiphany greatly.

Hadn't he known what was going to cause his death?

Surely Dodge could have figured something out to prevent it from happening, but he didn't.

Epiphany shook her head, she wasn't one to judge, not until she sees who you really are though. The group came to an urupt halt, and she had bumped into someone on accident. "Sorry." the girl answered, not looking up to see who was the victim of her push. Epiphany heard a tapping sound. Looking up, she saw that it was one of the asian boys. He had tapped a stop sign, and made a motion with his hand, something she knew as hitch-hiking. Epiphany opened her mouth to speak, but quickly closed it. She was parched, she was shy, and her voice would come out hoarse and scratchy from the lack of water. Instead, the wavy-haired girl nodded in agreement, but then she realised it would almost impossible for someone to agree on picking up eleven teenagers.

A girl with fiery hair mentioned that they were not dressed properly, which was right. Others started to debate on whether they should steal clothes and other nessities or not. Epiphany honestly didn't want to steal anything, hell, she regretted even trying to escape. She had food, shelter, and clothes at the dentention center, minus the fact that since her power is more dangerous than others, she had to stay in a special room at all times; A.K.A, no socializing AND not knowing anyone. But, she couldn't go back now, it was too late. Epiphany drifted out of her thoughts and listened as a boy with the most beautiful gray-eyes explained a possible plan. It was awkward seeing someone with such a fair eye color, as she had been surrounded by people with dark eye colors as herself.

His plan, it was agreeable. The wavy-haired girl looked over to the house mentioned. Stealing was something she never wanted to do, but it was a critical situation, life or death. Epiphany frowned, a man with blue-eyes had commented that if you dislike stealing, go to Hell. From that point on, she didn't even want to listen anymore. And the result from not listening to their conversation was she wasn't sure if the house was abandoned or not. Shelter was checked off her mental list. She doubted the house had money somewhere hidden in it, if it was abandoned. So money, food, and clothes, were checked off for now. The group had finally decided on something, they would steal clothes, and catch a bus. The asian boy from earlier went over to the house, checking to see if it was safe to proceed, and he annouced it was. Epiphany took a deep breath, and advanced towards the house, her eyes a step foward infront of her.

Riley looked at the group, all the people he saw looked a bit older than him but he shrugged being the youngest in the group couldn't be that bad. He looked as Jason? Is that what everyone is calling him? Well he looked as Jason started to combine sentences with different voices which seemed very odd and silly. Jason suddenly stared to move towards one of the buildings and others soon followed him, Riley started to walk towards the building.

He entered the house to find it was actually quite nice inside here, he thought it would be old and moldy but he shrugged and went for the first thing he was comfiest with and that would be clothes. He started to look through the rooms and started to rummage through clothing, he found clothes but it was to big for him... well it is not like this place had all his sizes. Riley exited the room wearing a grey t-shirt and a pair of over sized dark blue jeans which was being held up by black belt. He left the drawers a mess and started to walk downstairs hoping to find a kitchen to have at least some kind of good food.

Austen turned as the boy replied to her and listened attentively. He was right, and she offered a small smile in return for his reply. She was so unused to people talking to her (other than her parents, of course), that she felt it warranted a thank you. He looked a little familiar, though she couldn't quite place where she'd seen him. Probably just passed by in the hallways or some other small encounter.

Turning back to the boy with a strange voice, Austen again listened closely. So, raiding a house it was. Taking a moment to lock away any and all guilt she might feel at trespassing into someone's home, she dutifully followed. As the one guy gestured that it was safe, she slipped past him into they empty house.

It was a medium sized place, almost large. It looked nice, but Austen didn't waste any time looking around; after all, they were on the run. Assuming the bedrooms were upstairs, the mutant used her long legs to take the steps two at a time. She then began opening all the doors, until she found one that was clearly owned by a teenage girl. Crossing her fingers, Austen approached the closet.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she threw open the doors. The closet was overflowing with clothes, nearly bulging - though that might have more to do with the mess than the actual amount of clothing. The unknown girl wore average sized clothing, it looked like, which was for the best. All the girls were of average or smaller build, so it seemed like all them would be properly clothed.

Rummaging through closet, she pulled out a soft, black sweater that was covered in white crosses. After some more searching, she pulled out a pair of thick, dark wash skinny jeans. They were a bit too big, so she also snagged a belt. Clothes in hand, Austen went back down stairs and to the small restroom she had noticed earlier.

Using a rag and the sink, she cleaned the collected grime and dirt from her body as well as she could. It made a world of difference. Hoping no one would mind, she then turned on the faucet in the shower and dunked her hair underneath. Quickly putting some soap she'd grabbed into it then rinsing once more.

Austen than discarded her uniform and pulled on the stolen clothing. The pants didn't fit her all that well, but it would be ridiculous to assume they would. With the belt, they stayed well enough. The sweater was also a little too big, but that was a good thing; it covered all of her skin well. Pulling her boots and gloves back on, she was finished. Feeling cleaner, she went back to main area of the house, intending to search for a bag to begin filling.

Erin kept her cool. Wasting time wasn't something she enjoyed. At all. But after the past two days of running, she knew that her emotions were unstable and she needed to calm down or half of the group was getting barbecued. She tapped her foot, bit her tongue, and when the boy with the voices finally had a plan, she was right behind him.

Clothes or a shower weren't her priority, though they were obviously second. She felt like she was dressed as a mud pie for Halloween. What she needed was water and when she found a working faucet in the kitchen, she ducked a glass under the stream and chugged down two cups in a moment. Water was essential to keeping a clear head, staying alive as well as keeping her ability under control. It wasn't a lot, but the cool liquid slithered through her and she relaxed for just a moment against the counter, eyes closing briefly.

She heard a shower, more running water. Eventually the little house was crowded with their dirty feet and Erin almost snapped at everyone to take off their shoes on the carpet. It wasn't like this was her home though. Why should she care?

It was rude, she sniffed, and removed her own, placing them by the door and tossing her bright hair back as she stood up.

"Whoever's in the shower better not use all the hot water," she mumbled to no one in particular. When she noticed one of the girls with new clothes, she darted upstairs, finding the same closet easily since it was left open. All of the girls should fit in these, she figured. With her short stature, she was glad to find leggings she could roll up easily. Whoever this girl was, she had long legs. Probably an athlete or dancer or...well, Erin didn't really care and bypassed looking at any of the photos hung on the wall.

Clothes in hand, she stomped to the bathroom door and tried the knob. Locked. She pounded a fist against the wood, calling in, "Open up!"

Just as the others began to take what they needed, Arian let himself observe the house first. It was a cozy house, the sort of house you only expected from ordinary people with normal jobs and steady income. The walls were painted a warm color and as Arian ran a finger lightly on the smooth table, 'only a barely noticeable layer of dust...', decided that the people living here liked to have their house cleaned. He looked out from a window and spotted a small garden with colorful flowers and vegetables. Yes, the people living here would not appreciate the group's appearances at all. Arian looked around, noticed that the others were either looking around like him or trying to find a warm shower and clothing. That was just fine with him. No one was looking to the place where the family hid their money.

Arian suppressed a snort. How... thoughtful of them. A warm shower would make them comfortable; A warm meal would fill their stomach; clothes would make them blend in...but nothing could replace money. A bath could wait; A meal could be bought with money...clothes were the same. No, it was money that made Arian decide he should raid the house. Money would be one of his foremost priorities then.

Silently, unnoticed, Arian slipped into a big bedroom for two downstair. He walked to the dressing table and picked up a small photo. It was a photo of a happy family with two old people, two middle-age people, a teenage girl and a boy. 'They look happy,' Arian thought and placed the photo down. He opened the closet, too little clothing... 'They must be on a vacation or something then...' Arian concluded. He wondered what the family would think when they came back.

The woman slipped the key into the keyhole and twisted it. The door opened with a soft click and she walked inside, smilling at her children. Their faces were still flushed from the trip they had taken but they were happy. They were a happy family. She reached a hand to turn the lights on and let out shrilling scream, dropping her keys in horror. Her husband looked at her in alarm and quickly came to his wife's aid. He looked at the state of the house and felt his knees grew weak. Next to him, their children and parents also donned a stunned look. Their house! Their beautiful house! It was... It was ruined! Everything! Some one had broken in... and they had taken everything...The money they had worked hard to earn, the flowers they had spent hours under the sun to plant, the clothes-

Arian shook his head, ending his train of thoughts abruptly. It would be best if he stopped thinking about what would happen the the family. It would make him feel guilty and then, it would make him re-consider his actions. He had to be decisive right now. Arian took out a small box and then rolled his eyes. How creative of them to place their money in such obvious place. It was a wonder there was no thief trying to steal anything in the house yet. But then again, maybe there had been thieves here before, the family just wouldn't learn their lesson.

Taking a hair pin on the nearby table, Arian quickly cracked open the box. It was amazing how being bullied so many years could make people learn so many useful skills. Arian didn't consider himself the best but he was confident enough to say that he could pick most easy locket without much difficulty. He opened the box and peered inside. Just as he thought, money...and jewelries. He took out a golden locket and observed it carefully. It looked expensive but also precious...maybe he shouldn't take it.

With that thought in mind, Arian took every inside the box and put them into a small bag saved for the locket, the wedding rings and a pair of golden earrings. The teenager stood up and his eyes fell on the next object on the table, a stack of paper and a pen. Hesitantly, he walked over them. What was he thinking? Arian frowned as he picked the pen up and chewed his lips. Maybe he could 'That's stupid and you know it... Do you want to be caught or something?'

'But it's just a small note... No one will notice. Besides, I will even erase the fingerprints and things like that... No one will be able to trace back...' Arian argued with himself. 'You are stupid, Ceasar... Whatever...' The logical part of his mind said and Arian sat down on the bed to write a short note, his handwriting was neat and clean.

We're sorry for the actions that we had to take. If we meet again and the circumstance allows it, we shall repay you.

Sincerely yours,
Anonymous thieves

Acting on impulses, Arian placed the letter on the dressing table and placed the locket on top of it. He looked at the closet and took out a worn out brown jacket. It was his style but beggars couldn't be choosers, he guessed. He took off his clothes, frowning when he noticed he was smelling quite badly and his fingers weren't broken, just...misplaced. He supposed he would need to set them back latter. He walked into the bathroom and took a cold shower.

Three minutes later, Arian came out, shivering from the cold. He had wanted to take a warm shower but decided to against the idea at the last second. A lot of people may take a hot shower right now and he didn't want to be burnt. Plus, he didn't want to be selfish. He took out a white, short sleeves button up shirt and put it on. It was too large for him but it had to do for now. Arian threw the dirty gray pants on the floor and took out a pair of black, also worn out pants. He slipped on the jacket, effectively covered his scar and then picked up the bag on the bed. He looked at the mirror to check if he was remotely looking fine before going out.

Turned off the light and walked out of the room, bag slunging on his right shoulder almost lazily, Arian announced softly to the group "The owners of the house have left... presumably on a vacation so we are relatively safe for a few more hours at least... Now, has anyone started the oven and cooked something yet? I think I can help with that particular task..."

Sonya would follow in the midst of the group silently. As she finally reached the house, the first thing she desired is to get a glass of water. But, that redhead had arrived before her which meant for the time being something else would have to ensue. Loitering up the steps delivered her to a hall. Pushing open the door to one of the bedrooms led her to the master. Nothing out of place, but a small note on top of the table caught her attention. Stepping over, her eyes flashed over each line intently.
So it seems she was not the only person who had a slight disinterest in robbing from others. Who wrote the note, she did not know. The handwriting looked unisex, not feminine not masculine. Other than that, the room posed nothing that riveted her. The next room appeared to belong to a teenage girl. A closet door was pulled open to reveal racks of clothing no of which were her style but she would never complain. Before apologizing internally, Sonya grabbed several garments and laid them across her arm.

The bathroom was currently occupied by someone unbeknownst to her. Everything finally stopped and the door opened. It was the same man from before whom intentionally disguised his words to question her morality. Even if the government treated them like pigs, it did not mean her moral code was just going to shut off. Offering a smile seemed like the polite thing to do, so she did a miniscule of one anyway. But once he was far enough out she journeyed to the door. Slowly closing the door behind her, Sonya made her way towards the shower, hoping that a bit of hot water remained. Soon the knobs were twisted and clothing were stripped. Slicking tresses of hair back as she angled her head to face the steam of water. A generous amount of shampoo was used to sanitize it. Body glistened in the light as the water washed over her. Sonya found much comfort in the shower even though she was not relaxed at that epoch. After a few more minutes of scrubbing -- the water stopped, ending the frore shower. She stood there for a minute before slipping out simultaneously grabbing a towel.

Her soft, slightly tanned skin dotted with perspiration as she stared into the mirror of her reflection. Firmly foiled in the towel did not last to long until drying her skin and rubbing it through her wet locks. Not that she ever needed make-up, it was always just the point of having that option of being normal and having a 'normal' day. What has her life come to? After finishing a long and desperately needed shower, the next thing there was to do was get dressed and find nourishment. Sonya adorned a pair of fitted dark shorts, a graphic tank top and a plaid button up all found in the young teenager's room. It was a 'blending' in look she was ultimately going for. The little necklace was just the finishing touch. The dirty clothing was balled into her hands as she left the bathroom.

It was quiet, a bit to quiet as she peered down the long hall. Slowly closing the door behind her, Sonya made her way towards the stairs quickly wanting to get to the kitchen as soon as possible. Everyone seemed to be doing their own thing, a few people here and there. Entering the kitchen brought her to halt. Without further adieu, she sauntered over to sink where she retrieved a cup from the overhead cabinet and filled it to the brim. It only took her about twenty seconds to gulp the whole thing down. Refreshing. Water had never tasted so good. For all she knew she was drinking a glass of distilled sunshine.'The second thing she did was look through the bottom cabinets until she spotted the package of garbage bags. She tossed her clothing into the bag and traveled to the living room area where the few who were gathered stationed.

She licked at her lips and let out a deep breath in determination. "We should put our clothes in here." She lifted the black bag slightly. "If and when this family gets back... it's certain they will call the police. And finding a mass amount of dirty clothing lying around could connect back to our escape... It won't take to long before the government is informed and they can easily find traces of DNA on them. If they don't suspect no more than one or two robbers then I doubt it'll get any further than a standard in-home invasion." In other words, the government will not be informed... at least not about a standard break in as those things are very common and they can get a little bit of lead way. How close the government was to finding them were anyones guess but they did not need to go around leaving trails of their crumbs.

Sonya set the bag down, again releasing a deep breath. She was getting this talking thing down pact. Maybe it would be wiser to speak up more often, they can't all be mute. Most of everything that she wanted to say had been said. Cyan hues traveled over to Arian, and it was then that she noticed what he said earlier.

'Also, we will need to know each other's... names, powers, strengths, weaknesses... We will need to stick together... at least for the time being... It's best if we know something about the others'

Biting her lower lip in thought, her lips parted to voice yet another personal opinion. Only this one was not for everyone so her voice was kept to octave that Arian could hear clearly but maybe to the others a bit incoherently. Taking causal steps closer to him, the brunette began to speak.

"About what you said earlier. I think we should... I don't even know most of anyone's name. Perhaps we can start now." Sonya shoved her hands into the caves of her pockets subsequent to her looking off to the side.

What bliss...warm water washing over him...such peaceful...
BAM BAM BAM
"Open up!"

Goddammit.

Kleo didn't want to get into a fight with any of these guys. Who knows what scary powers they'd be pulling. Kleo started to finish up, but decided he'd take up one more minute out of spite. Once he felt like he was squeaky clean, he realized he had forgotten a towel. Ah well. Shrugging, Kleo took his shirt and pants, then dried himself off with those before wrapping the shirt around his waist, barely covering himself. With that, he unlocked the door and strolled out. Of course it was the red head at the door. "You may now enter mistress." Kleo bowed with a snarky look on his face.

With that, he walked around the house searching for the master bedroom. Took him a while, passing by some people who simply gave him a look. Kleo was just in an attitude of complete 'meh' about it. Once he found the master bedroom, he quickly opened up the drawers, looking for guys clothes. It looked like a lot were taken, but what he did find was a dark blue polo shirt and some beige pants. A little bit over sized for him, but it would have to do for now. At least the dude had a belt. He heard talking coming from the living room, so he decided to catch up with them.

There were a few of them there, but not everyone was gathered it seemed. "What up party people? I miss anything?"

Austen had forgone looking for a bag and decided on water and some food instead. She filled a glass quickly, gulping down the cool liquid, feeling it slide down her throat. After finishing the glass, she filled it once more, again downing the contents. When she felt sufficiently hydrated, Austen opened some cabinets until she found granola bars. Her slender fingers opened the package in a second or two, and it only took a few more for her to ingest the food. It tasted wonderful. Making her way around the others that had wondered into the kitchen, she found some fruit that had yet to go bad. The family hadn't left that long ago, then. Why leave fruit out, though? Perhaps they'd forgotten.

Two apples were quickly eaten, sating the edge of Austen's hunger. After that, the young blonde began looking through closets and other rooms she hadn't yet explored until she found a backpack. It was larger, maybe for camping, and black. It would do perfectly. Returning to the girl's room, Austen found several more pieces of clothing that would suit her needs and stuffed them inside. Apologizing silently, she also took whatever else she could find that could be of some help. A towel, rags, a pair of tennis shoes (though too big), deodorant, a watch, some writing utensils and paper... Anything that served a practical use and wasn't valuable.

Adjusting her damp braid, Austen zipped the bag closed and slung it onto her back. It was heavy, but her body could easily handle it. Walking back to the entrance, she arrived just in time hear the dark-haired girl say something about leaving evidence. Austen's cheeks warmed a little as she realized she'd left her dirty uniform in the trash. She might as well have signed her name. Luckily, no one was in the down stairs bathroom, and Austen retrieved the jumpsuit easily. Dumping the suit into a trash bag felt oddly liberating. Austen tied it up and decided she would burn it, at some point.

"What up party people? I miss anything?" Austen looked at who had spoken; she didn't recall ever seeing him in C-CLASS. She didn't know his name, or anyone else's, for that matter. This seemed wrong, seeing as they were running from possible death together. They would have to rely on each other for survival.

"Um," Austen cleared her throat, "If we're going to run away from the government together, I think maybe we should at least know each other's names. ...I'm Austen."

'It looks like no one has started cooking yet... I suppose the responsibility will fall on me then...' Arian thought as he stared at the kitchen. He quickly opened the fridge and allowed a small smile to form when he found some beef. He opened another cupboard and found a lot of instant noodles cups as well as canned foods. Nodding to himself, Arian quickly boiled some water and put as many cans as he could inside his bag. 'The bag is too small... Perhaps I can ask the others to find a bigger bag to put these in...We shall need them later...' With that thought in mind, Arian put the remained cans on an empty table nearby.

"You... you're Arian... aren't you?" A meek voice said, instantly made Arian wary. He turned around. Oh, it was just the blonde haired girl. 'But... how does she know my name? I don't exactly go around and tell it to the first person I meet...' Arian thought in confusion. The girl began to come closer and the moment she leaned in, Arian realized what she was. 'Sage!...Another joke?!' He quickly put his hand in front of the girl's mouth "My apology but... I don't kiss illusion..." Just as he thought, the girl disappeared with a POOF and Arian found himself alone in the kitchen again.

The kettle whistled, telling Arian that the water was hot enough and Arian quickly filled the cups with water. He brought them to the living room since there wasn't enough space in the kitchen anyway. He placed them down, still steaming. Then, the shadow user opened the cabinet and took out the medical kit, placing them on the table so he wouldn't forget about them later. It was important that the group at least had some medicines '...just in case...'

"We should put our clothes in here. If and when this family gets back... it's certain they will call the police. And finding a mass amount of dirty clothing lying around could connect back to our escape... It won't take to long before the government is informed and they can easily find traces of DNA on them. If they don't suspect no more than one or two robbers then I doubt it'll get any further than a standard in-home invasion."

The female with black hair said and Arian found himself agree with her thoughtfulness. He quickly retreated to take his clothes in the master bedroom. As he was about to close the door, a thought hit him rather violently and Arian snatched the pen as well as a stack of paper, a pair of scissors, two shirt, a pair of pants and a scarf. He shoved them into his bag. The bag was fulled now so he might have to find another bag later. He existed the room and came back, putting his clothes in the black plastic bag like the girl told him to and leaned against the wall to take a short break.

"What up party people? I miss anything?" A boy walked into the living room, speaking loudly. Arian stared at him cooling and took a nearby instant noodle cup as well as a pair of chopsticks. "Not much, I'm afraid... Here, I cooked something... Eat before it gets cold..." He said simply. He tapped the wooden table loudly to get everyone's attention. He cleared his throat and said awkwardly, trying to appear more friendly.

"I...well, I cooked something for everyone... I have first intended to cook something healthier but there aren't many healthy foods in the fridge left and I want to save them for later so..." He swallowed, his voice faltered slightly "...So I'm afraid we will have to eat instant noodles for now." He took the cups and began to give out to everyone in the living room. As he was about to take one for himself, a voice whispered in his ears and Arian turned around to look at the speaker.

"About what you said earlier. I think we should... I don't even know most of anyone's name. Perhaps we can start now."

Oh, yes, he almost forgot about that. He opened his mouth but was beaten by the blonde haired girl. She said meekly, clearing her throat in a manner that remained Arian of himself when he was nervous "If we're going to run away from the government together, I think maybe we should at least know each other's names. ...I'm Austen." He decided to save the girl's nervousness and so, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Stepping forward, Arian stated calmly, eyes sweeping to look at every person in the living room "...My name is Arian Ceasar. I'm 19, will be 20 in a few months' time... My power is Shadow Manipulation. I have spent about a year and a half in C-CLASS..." He paused, choosing his new few words carefully. "I like silence, normal people that don't support discrimination, windy weather...and sweet food. I dislike noises, discrimination, being caged, people that judge the others before they know them...and sour food. My dream?...I don't have a dream yet. My goal is to get away from the government and maybe... have a fresh start or something..." He ended his speech lamely and stepped down, glancing at the group to observe the others' reactions. Arian looked at the person next to him, silently asking them to continue. It would be best if they got to know each other... even just for a little bit.

Lizzy was mostly ignored by the rest of the group, something which suited her just fine. She trailed silently after the rest of the group, hanging around in the hallway for a moment or two while the others went to find food or change clothes or bathe or whatever they were going to do. The house... It reminded her briefly of home. When had her parents time to change and update the decor? Or better still, why should they when teenagers so often lost control of their abilities? Incidents were all too common. Two weeks before Lizzy's trial, her brother Eddie had almost burnt the house down in a flare of testosterone. But it was home, and they would have it no other way.
The blood manipulator bit her lip. What wasn't to say that a family like her own was living here? Struggling all the time, but somehow managing to keep it together. A nice home, lots of kids... Lizzy pushed her reservations aside as she moved further into the house. No, her parents would understand. They would be glad to help them.

First; fresh clothes. Someone had said it earlier; they needed to disguise themselves. They needed to hide their identities. Lizzy found her way into the bedroom of a teenage boy. She wrinkled her nose slightly; there was certainly no difference between mutant and normal boys in the respect of their rooms. She rummaged around for a while, chancing on a clean pair of baggy combats in a chest of drawers and a belt. Further searching revealed an old backpack, into which she stuffed several t-shirts, long sleeved tops and another pair of jeans. She located a discarded hoodie and a scarf before exiting the room before she had an awkward conversation with one of the guys.  A brief scout into the girl's room yielded a vest and some better fitting t-shirts.

Lizzy quickly stumbled upon the bathroom, but apparently there was already a queue; the red-head girl was standing outside looking impatient. With a slightly strained smile, she slipped around the other girl in search of somewhere else to wash. Eventually she came across an en-suite bathroom in a downstairs bedroom, and there she took her time washing until she was good and clean again. She checked the medicine cabinet, and finding, to her delight, a fully stocked first aid kit and iron tablets.
The raven haired girl roughly towel dried her hair, dragging a comb through her hair and tying the front up and out of her way. Next the pants, tightened around her hips with a belt, slipped the girl's vest top over her head. She debated the jacket and her boots for a moment or two, before deciding that the jacket could be tweaked and the boots were too tough and sensible to leave. She slid the black jacket over her bare arms. Eventually Lizzy was satisfied with her appearance; that of a grunge-y kind of teenager she supposed (fashion was never really her thing).

Lizzy popped an iron tablet on her way into the sitting room, noticing that some of the others had already assembled here. She had barely sat down when one of the boys, Adrain, or something, came out of the kitchen with instant noodles for all. She accepted hers with a small smile nd a thank you.

The group started introducing themselves; Austen, Arian, and ugh, Sage. She balked as she realised it was her turn.
"Uh, I'm Lizzy. I'm twenty. Sent down on GHB and I can control blood."
