Physical Description: He's the middle, not the shortest, not the tallest, not the skinniest either. He's kinda average in everything but looks. He has soft black hair and piercing eyes that come off cold. Although he has no shell, he has a raised ridge down his spine and scales on his chest.

Personality: If Vermil is angry and Azur is blunt, Black is cold. He has a dislike for almost everything, even before he was stuck in a body. He brushes everyone, exculding family, off like they were unimportant. And to a Symbol, they are. Around family, he's more relaxed but still stuck up about most things.

Likes: Family, books and food

Dislikes: Everything else

Habits: He is the "oldest" of the Symbols and acts like it, often ordering the others around. He has a little turtle that Vermil gave him, he carries it everywhere

History: With his siblings in the skies, they rule over the earth. When Vermil goes missing, Black is the first to look for her. When he sees her in a human form, he merely goes to help her and is caught. This still annoys him greatly. His form was without working eyes and he can not see, instead using the water in the air to feel his way around the world. When they killed the man responsible, he threw him against a wall and drowned him to near death many times before he let Azur kill him.

Black chuckled and leaned against the wall, running a hand through Kali's hair. "Well..." the water began to form again. "There was a very big and fiery bird... She was known as Limrev... She was fun loving and hyper... And like her big brother, Kcalb, she fell in love with a human. But he wasn't a normal human... He was very sick but the bird loved him anyways. They two often sat in the little hospital room and talked. Sometimes, late at night, the bird sang for the human." he murmured softly "One day, the human died. The bird held the human's body crying. She cursed whatever God stole her friend from her and swore revenge... She's still looking for it too..."

Charity had to go to the bathroom and wash her face after that unusual event with the housemates. Then she started walking around the house. The girl wasn't good at orientation and eventually ended up in the kitchen. There Lanuya was cooking. Charity didn't know what to do. What would it be better? Greeting her, or not interrupting her cooking? Then the healer slipped and fell. The noise was loud enough to bring Lanuya's attention. So it was decided - greeting it is. "Hi..." Charity mumbled.

"Can you tell me a happy story? You know with love and happiness at the end. Do you know any?" Kali asked.
Cassandra appeared next to Kali and Black. She was holding a black rose. "The moon was full and reflected on the silver river. The bridge over it could almost reach the bright sky. A loving couple held their hands and jumped off the bridge... with bungee. The couple was flying down and their souls were up along the stars. The ropes ripped, but the lovers didn't know it. They died in happiness. Ya like that?

David could hear Kali and two other people nearby. He figured it may be worth finding out what the fuss was about. It did not take long to find the trio, including Kali and, from the DNA strand, one of the other Four Symbols. He did not think it appropraite to mention the strands, right then, since the arguing sounded serious. Once he was close enough, he whistled.

"What's all the fuss about, over here?" He then caught a glimpse of the man from outside. Is that Zhi Ming? The White Tiger's brother? He decided against asking that question out loud. Instead, he chose to keep a five step distance from the door, leaning on the side of the wall. "I thought people got along more, around here. Frankly, I'm a little disapointed."

Black merely smiled at Kali and nodded. "No more fighting... I'm just still over protective... I'm not loosing someone again..." He pulled her against him so that they were almost the same person. "I don't want to feel that darkness again..." he let a grumbling hiss out to relax himself.

Vermil stuck her head out to see almost everyone gathered around Black's door. She walked over, not noticing Samil yet and knocked on the door. Gege? Is everyone alright? You didn't get mad at the 'corruption' again? she asked, leaning against the door, her wings somewhat shielding the door from everyone's view. Black merely grunted at her and she giggled. M'kay! Just checking! She skipped back into her room, content on ignoring everyone.

Black watched his demon and her cousin argue back and forth. He interjected. "And if he does find out, let it be known that the four Symbols of China will keep any unsavory company away from her." he swore, his tail curled around Kali's wrist. It was a safety line to keep him from running out to sea and causing a hurricane. He was still angry from before but didn't show it.

Vermil merely hopped up in her nest and snuggled the sheets. You have, when we first met, remember? And I am a bird, just kinda trapped as a human... She patted the empty area in her nest. You coming up with me or not..?

Black shook his head and used his tail to tug Kali closer. "Regardless... I do not like when someone of my family is stressed, worried or bored... So I will keep her out of Hell... And we've never had a parent so we wouldn't know of this typical parent stuff..." he huffed a bit. "And I'd rather not have Kali leave my sight after she just entered it..."

Vermil kissed her Fallen back and nestled closer to Samil. Well, some mad man wanted to trap humans souls in bodies but he caught us instead... Reanimating the dead... Leave that to the necromancers... she told him, keeping most of the smaller details to herself.

Black nodded. "I will go ask White to join us... Let's hope that male-wannabe hasn't fallen asleep..." He walked over to a room and opened the door. A sleepy looking White looked up from her spot on her giant cat tree. "Oi. Kali's making food. Vermil's eaten... Something and Gods know where Azur is." White merely yawned, a meow exiting her mouth. She got up before falling on her face, fully waking up.

"Gods damn you to the underworld..." he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. White flicked Black off, who snorted at him. "Any word from that scaly moron?" Black shook his head and the two exited the room. White's ears twitched as he listened to Samil through the wall before shaking his head.

Vermil kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. At this point, I am too....

Black and White stayed out of everyone's way, talking to each other. They were content with watching everyone make food. They did the same when Vermil cooked. Black's heart soared when he saw Kali keep the feather in her hair. White nudged him and grinned. "You, my dear brother, are smitten. Never thought I'd see the day..." Black merely tugged on White's ear and huffed.

"You're just jealous..." he muttered, releasing the furry appendage before turning back to Kali. He wanted to protect her with everything thing he was and it was quite a bit.

Vermil felt warm fingertips against her back and she cooed. She was feeling the excitement as much as he was. Her room began heating up from her powers overloading just a bit.

Lanuya smiled at David. "I am happy that you feel accepted. Sometimes it is hard to make friends when you are veiwed as different, but people like that are narrow minded." Lanuya laughed, "Believe me, I know narrow minded." Lanuya's head began to hurt and she frowned deeply all of the sudden. There were so many people in the room. There was David, Charity, White, Black, Yoki, Kali, and- well, her. This wasn't a good combination and it was beginning to weight heavily on Lanuya's mind. Maybe too heavily. She could feel a headache coming from all the others of the others being forced into her head against her will. "Oh no..." Lanuay whispered. Touching her temples Lanuya felt faint and watched as her vison blurred. "Too many people..." Lanuya murmured softly, before swaying. Sensing her state of distress her kittens immedietely began to meow, urging her to leave. Lanuya stumbled past the others "E-Excuse me... Pardon me... Please let me through..." she mumbled, finally making it to the front door which she leaned heavily against. Her kittens mewed in concern, winding around her ankles. "I-I'm okay..." Lanuya insisted weakly, "I just need some fresh air..." With that she weakly fled out the door and practially collapsed on one of the chairs there. Her kittens curled up in her lap to comfort her which Lanuya got a grip on her mind again. It happen been too much, too suddenly and she hadn't been prepared for the onslaught of colliding minds. It had given her an intense headache as well as it made her weak.

(Sweet! I adore plot twists! It makes the story that much more wonderful- I'll play along!)

Lanuya touched her temple, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Ma tête me fait mal, mais je suis bien." My head pains me, but I am alright. "Merci pour un tel souci, David." Thank you for such concern, David. Lanuya offered a small smile in gratitude as she put on the oven mitts and opened the oven. Taking great care she took the cake from the oven and put it on a platter, drizzling raspberry sauce on it before placing it in the fridge and placing the remaining sauce beside it. "There," Lanuya said, sadisfied as she shut the fridge door, "Now tomorrow we shall serve this for breakfast!"

Again Lanuya's head began to hurt and she tried to welcome the other's thoughts. As she opened her mind a torrent of thoughts poured in, mixing like dangerous chemicals and rapidly increasing the pocket of tention in Lanuya's mind which she was so desperately afraid of. 'Not again...' Lanuya thought with a sorrow as she closed her mind and guarded it painstakingly with her mental defenses. On the outside though she showed no such fear, singing a childhood nursery song softly to herself. "À la tresse~ jolie tresse~ Mon papa est cordonnier~ Ma maman fait des souliers~ Ma p'tit' sœur est demoiselle~ Tire la ficelle~ Mon p'tit frère est polisson~ Tire le cordon!" When Nixie entered she chimed, "Hello Nixie!" There was no indication of pain in her body or ways, though the more people there were in the room...

Vermil pouted as Samil left but followed. She wanted food. She saw her brothers snacking on food and began to dig in herself. White merely grunted at the door. "What's all that about..?"

"You moron. There's a new demon here. He seems pretty cool from what the water's telling me..." Black told the other Symbol who was laughing.

"Water talking to you... That never gets old..." the fem-boy giggled out. Vermil had eaten her fill and walked to the door. The cooler night air made standing over there hard but she had to peek at their newest neighbor. She gasped and smirked at the demon. She knew this one well.

Well, well, well! An old face that I got tired of seeing! she cawed at the demon. White heard the noise and trotted over.

"Meph! Whatcha doing here?" he grinned. The two hung out when he was still in his cat form and kinda missed the guy.

Vermil laughed at Samil. Well, I make it my business to know what happens in Hell and White loves tagging along so when he met Meph here, it was love at first sight! White's face turned a bright red.

"That was 1000 years ago! And it was a silly crush!" he exclaimed, waving his hands around.

Black merely walked over and hugged Kali before moving away just enough to watch his sister and brother around that damned demon. He hated that moronic waste of energy for awhile now. He wasn't sure what it was but he couldn't stand him. He would've said it was just nerves about losing Kali but it had started long long ago. Then he heard Kali being asked to do something by the vile thing and he hissed loudly, water forming at his fingertips.

Black merely stormed past the disgracful piece of crap that was flirting with his girlfriend and to her room. He knocked on it and leaned on the door. "Xiao niao..? May I come in or do you want to be alone..?" he asked hesitantly. He didn't want to barge in, that wasn't very nice but he had to make sure his little bird was fine.

Vermil cooed at Samil and nuzzled his arm, which she was clinging to. White merely frowned at John. Could he not see that Kalo was taken..? Was he that blind to everyone else..? He shook his head and rested a hand on Vermil's. "The turtle's pissed at this one, birdy... Be careful..." and with that he brushed past the demon before entering his own room, patting Black on the back as he went.

"Of course, I would love to go to town tomorrow." Lanuya smiled at David. Suddenly another entered the room and she looked in the newcomer's direction. He was a young man with... bat wings? Interesting enough. She noticed as David's thoughts became defensive and she frowned. What could be the matter with him? Suddenly her body began to glow softly, a faint silver light emanating from her. Lanuya gasped and she caught the words 'protection', 'aura' and 'demon soul sucker' running through David's mind. She was smart enough to put the peices together. 

Lanuya's face turned pink. Guardian Angel? She had heard so many stories... All her life she believed and she knew that God had provided her with one as the bible says that God's child ate protected by the angels, but Lanuya never though she would actually see her angel. But now wasn't the time for flattery. "Please David, calm yourself. He is not threatening me so for now everything it okay. Please, there is no reason to pick a fight." Lanuya murmured soothingly, giving David's hand a small tug, asking him to back down.

"Black...I...um...I'd like to be alone right now, if that's alright?"

Black nodded and moved away from the door. He moved into his room and locked the door. Then the room began flooding, water filling the entire room, Black in the middle. He floated in the water as the light flicked off. In his darkness, he began to freeze the water. He was using the extent of his powers but he didn't care. He wanted to be alone in his fort of ice, where no one hurt him and he never felt such feelings. He began to shut himself down. "Time for another global warming..." he muttered before he went completely asleep.

Vermil was about to reply to her Fallen when she felt it. The mass power flux. Only appeared when one of them overused their powers. There were only two people she knew that did that and she was one. Black! White, come on! White felt it too and they took off to Black's room. They tried the door but it was locked. Black! Brother! Don't do this again! She banged on the door but there was no reply.

"Shit, Vermil... Don't break down the door..." White tried to calm her but she keep at it. White had to pick her up and remove her from the door. She began sobbing.

He said he wouldn't do it again, White! He promised me!

Vermil was too busy sobbing into White's shirt to answer. White merely touched the door and rubbed the frost off it. He sighed and handed Vermil off to Samil. "Hold her will you..? I've never been good at comforting her... It was Azur's job..." he then turned to the door. "As the two extremer seasons, both Vermil and Black have the ability to shut down from the world. To prevent the world getting too hot or cold." He slammed his fist against the door and snarled.

"But both use it as a coping mechanism to hide from the world that screwed them over! Finally, I got them to promise to stop it..." White slid down the front of the door and dry sobbed. "Gai si... There's nothing we can do... Vermil can't melt the ice in this state... I could get someone in there but only one..."
