History:
Vincent Macintosh is a merman born in 1809 in Finland. In Finnish mythology, a merman (vetehinen) is often portrayed as a magical, powerful, handsome, bearded man with the tail of a fish. He can cure illnesses, lift curses and brew potions, but he can also cause unintended harm by becoming too curious about human life. Vincent was born to his merfolk parents off of the cost of Finland. Merpeople were said to have been a cursed people who were cast into the depths of the sea.
Mer-people have a very long life span and Vincent has lived in the seas for 203 years. It is said that trouble follows the mermen who become too curious about human life. Vincent wandered onto the surface, one day he explored longer than he was allowed and was forced to remain on land so that he could learn about humanity. Once he learns what it means to live like mortals do he will be able to return to the sea.
Vincent as a merman has control of water and can conjure up storms when angry. He has very strong vocal chords and hearing. They also have the ability to convert their tail and fins to legs and feet. Vincent needed a safe normal place to stay and he luckily stumbled upon the right place.
