Setting
Lanuya smiled and walked over, taking a 5 lb bag of cat food. She had packed two in case she wouldn't be able to go shopping for more, but that didn't seem to be a problem. Standing with the bag, Lanuya petted Velvet's head, who purred in response, before she walked back over and handed the bag to Arabella. "There you go Ari!" Lanuya smiled, "I don't know what size portion Toulouse gets for his meals but this should tidy him over of at least a week if not more." Sugar purred, rubbing against Arabella's leg, obviously the more active and friendly of the kittens.
The room was... perfect. It was very large with a queen sized bed and a grand piano. The two walls facing the outside were glass so she could see the entire, beautiful backyard and forest area. The floor was soft white carpet and against the non-glass wall facing the hallway there was a cat castle for her kittens. A small bathroom was tucked, hidden in the corner of the room but though it looked puny from the outside the inside was very large. Instead of a shower head there was a glass water way that water flowed through the same way it would in a normal shower. Mirror alined the walls on the inside and on the outside the walls hiding the bathroom were white.
The most astonishing thing was: almost everything was made of glass, and I'd it was not glass it was of the purest white. The bed was glass with white sheets, pillows and a thick white blanket with lacy white drape hanging over and foldin around like the canopy of a royal blooded woman. A glass dresser stood against the wall already with her clothes insides, folded neatly away The cushion on the chair in front of the glass grand piano was white and instead of the instruments Lanuya had brought, there were more expensive ones made of pale white wood (for the wood instruments) or white gold (for the metal instruments). Suffice to say; Lanuya was in complete awe as she walked in and closed the door behind her. Velvet and Sugar ran inside and to the castle immediately.
The song was sweet and sad, having ups and downs to represent challanges, depressions, victories from beginning to end. It's title was so fitting no one could rebuke it; "Another Summer". As she played everything fell together in a beautiful harmony, captivating the ears of those in the room of those near enough to hear. The song was as cold as ice though as Lanuya played it and a chill that came not from the piano filled the house. This was the song of total and utter loss.
After she finished the remaining chords rebounded in the room, creating a mystical effect one could only achieve from the right circumstances and years of practice. Lanuyas sat back and listened as her music fades away into the silence that overtook her room. Suagr and Velvet lay on the top floor of the kitty castle, gazing at their friend through seperate peep holes. No one moved until finally, after the last note had died, Lanuya sat back and sighed, realizing the whole time she had been holding her breath. "Un autre été..." she whispered, "Comment le raccord." Noticing now goosebumps had overtake her skin Lanuya quickly dawned a jacket. There was a sense of panic, loss and absolute cold that filled the house as if someone had turned the AC way up.
"Stay here," Lanuya told her kittens before going to the door. She could feel pain in all the other's thoughts, and in the very center of it all it felt as if some one's mind was a soild block of ice, only the barest spark of life hidden deep in the frozen core. 'What is going on?' Lanuya thought her herself, exiting the room and going towards the source.
Lanuya shifted slightly in her sleep until her sleepy golden eyes opened. Her room was dark and quiet, faint noises coming from outside her bedroom somewhere else in the house. 'Ugh, how long was I asleep?' Lanuya wondered, rubbing her eyes as she sat up, the silky white nightdress pooling like liquid pearls around her as her body shifted position. Taking a peak at the small white clock on her nightstand Lanuya was ataken back at how much she had slept. Moaning softly as she placed the palm of her right hand against her forehead she knew she had be asleep for waaaaay too long. The others might have gotten worried about her for she had been asleep for so very long. Lanuya yawned again, stretching as she slipped out of her bed and murmured "Jet lag... my goodness..." as she slowly stumbled to the closet. The feel of sleep was still very heavy on her eyes as it would be for a few more days but at least they wouldn't be as bad as this. Undressing listlessly she changed into a simple outfit with a faint pink blouse and a white skirt that brushed her knees ina flowing manor. It was quite pretty, Lanuya thought loosely as she brushed her long blonde hair and tossed it over her shoulders. Blinking a few more times she went to her door and exited her room without even putting shoes on; looking somewhat like a sleepy little angel.
