Description

Image: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=random+ ... l#/d1oxc3a

Emily is a 16 year old, average looking teenage girl. With her ruggedly cut blonde hair, and odd, bright green eyes, she could pass for a normal high schooler. She is not very tall, only about 5 foot 6 inches, and is around the slender size, with little curves. She isnt much to care about what she looks like, or how messy her hair is, or that she doesnt where makeup. Her general outfit is jeans of assorted colors and types, with tee-shirts, and usually a sweatshirt, and sneakers. Emily has small hands, but is stronger then she looks. She is a fast runner, and is physically fit and rather flexible. In all her free time, she is found doing push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and practicing with her powers.

Personality

Emily has an interesting personality. She can be extremy defensive, and is not afraid to talk back. She can have a sassy attitute towards others if she is caught in a bad mood, which is usually a lot. She isn't shy, whatsoever, and is bold and bashful. Emily is very easily angered, and when she gets mad enough, she gets very violent, and things break. But when she gets to know you, and actually likes you, you can realize she is very kindhearted, loyal and loving.

Equipment

Emily can control the four classical elements to a certain extent.
Water: Emily has always loved water, and enjoys swimming... and anything that involves water in anyway. This is her best controled and favorite element.
Earth: Emily hates heights, and likes when she had solid ground beneath her. Earth is her second best element.
Air: While practicing her air control, she learned to hover for a short amount of time, but not very long. Air is her third best element.
Fire: Her complete least favorite and worst of all the elements. When she gets angry, her body tempurature will rise, until her hand, (and/or whole body) will ignite.

History

Emily knows very little about her parents and birth. As soon as she was born, her mother dumped her at an orphinage, with only a first and last name. Her whole life, she had traveled from orphinage to orphinage, either getting kicked out of completely destroying the place with minor earthquakes and burning them down. Until her record overtook her, and the last orphinage found out about the academy. They though it was a good idea to send her there, because she is 'special' and whatnot.

So begins...

Tessela

"Morning," Emily said with a small yawned as she began to pick pieces off her breakfast pastry and popping them into her mouth. Tes smiled and nodded to her, her eyes and ears pricked for the sound of conversion.

"Great day to be locked up don't you think?" she said with a grin.

"Hello ladies! Your all looking lovely toady" Collin called to the three girls in the cafeteria. Collin walked over to the table, his hands in his pockets. "How have your morning been? Mine was starting off kind of bad well until I saw you guys of course." He gave Tes a huge smile before leaning closer to Emily.

Tes grinned at Collin.

"Hello Collin, how are you, vivacious as ever i see" she said with a wink and a grin.

A woman announced that there would be a a group session later today. Tes grinned and shook her head.

"I don't know why we bother" she stated as she shot Emily a smile.

A small growl like noise erupted from my throat, and I crossed my arms, and leaned back on my chair. Pretty much ignoring what Miss Rose said to Khael. "I do not like it when people try to restrain my powers..." I grumbled under my breath. Glaring at Khael, she seemed to be in an overly peppy mood, and I didn't like it.

I completely pretended no one else was there, and I put my feet up on the table, and crossed them over each other. I didn't like the way they were treating the werewolf. It's not like it's his fault that he was born that way. Or the fact that it could drown you right now if I wanted. Well not entirely any way.

Looking back I saw a girl stumble a bit, and I shook my head. Her eating choices seemed to be a bit sugary. I tilted my head to the side, and raised an eyebrow. Whoa. If i ate as much sugar as she does, this building would no longer be standing. When I experience a sugar rush, things seem to explode, burn, break, or disappear from existence. That's why I usually don't eat candy.

Looking back at Collin and Khael,I scowled. How could they be happy in a place like this? Shaking my head, I realized I was thirsty again. Glancing around, I could see a water bottle on one of the tables. Just lifting my hand slightly, the water in the bottle reacted, and flew towards me. And the bottle was carried with it. Grabbing it out if the air, I opened it and drank some. After I closed it, i put the bottle into my pocket. I felt better when I knew I had water with me.

Thats when Blake finally showed up. He simply sat down, and he didn't seem to to quite get. He however, took his chat, backed it up a good 3 feet, and sat down. He simply listened.

"Everyone, might I have your attention please?" a mentor said. He knew what she would say. He knew it wouldn't apply to him.

"I know that you all hate therapy sessions. You think of them as torture, you find them useless, you regard them as a waste of time. I think, for most of you at least, this is the first time you are in one of my therapy sessions. Today, we will do things a little different. I will not force anyone to talk about anything they do now want to talk about. You can all tell stories of your past if you want to, or you may tell us of your hopes and plans for the future, if you prefer not dwelling on the past. In return, I hope for a little good will from your side - I would hate to sit here all morning listening to the silence." This ticked him off a bit. Almost enough to speak. He has never really spoken in a therapy session. But he could not remember the past, nor did he ever try to. He was tired of trying things that never worked. But for once, he almost did, though he wasn't sure of people noticed.

"This is a waste of time, space, energy, and life, I don't think anybody wants to talk about why they were sent to what I like to call 'Fancy Prison.'" Blake then thought to himself "Oh please. I think they could fix one of you at least. You don't have memory blanks with memories you suffer from, and the instability that follows.

Then Rayen spoke. Blake had no doubt she was lying on a major level. He knew no one thought like that here. He continued to remain silent however. He hates therapy. Waste of time.

The only way to get him to speak in therapy would probably be by antagonizing him.

Khael

"Can I be excused?" said Collin, before jumping up and leaving.

Khael watched Collin leave and pouted. It hadn't quite produced the effect she had wanted. But she did know that he obviously had very little self control and that could still be fun if she could get him to not just run off whenever the smell was too much. She tapped a nail against her leg and sighed lightly. She looked around at everyone as they spoke. Already she was bored. She was turning her head to look at whoever was speaking but she wasn't hearing what was being said. She even ignored the mentor. She tapped her foot on the floor.

She shifted. Then she watched Rayen. The mentor had spoken to her, right? She couldn't recall. Khael suddenly raised her hand.

"Hey, I think we should all leave!" she said brightly. "I've got better things to do." Her grin suggested that those 'better things' might not to apply to anyone laying on the other end of her amusement.

I listened intently on all that was being said. They all have plans... I have nothing. I sighed suddenly, and put my head in one of my hands.
"I've never had anything. No education. No fantasies. No life to live... No love," I muttered, then jerked my head up. Wasn't supposed to say that out loud. Whoops.

I looked down trying to avoid anyone's gaze or eyes. I hope no body starts to feel pity. I hate pity.

Every where I've gone, all that's been given to me is pity. I was sick of it. I seriously think if someone says, ' I feel so bad for you!' I would:
a) Throw up.
b) burst into flames.
c) incinerate every thing within a sixty foot diameter.

I allowed my face to turn stone cold and emotionless again, and crossed my arms, leaving back on my chair.

Khael

Khael narrowed her eyes in annoyance at the mentor. So she had caught on to what she was doing? She didn't linger long on how. The how didn't really matter, simply the fact that it had been done. Well the last thing she was going to do was say anything about her intentions or motives. That was would ruin everything. All her fun down the drain. She shifted in her seat and opened her mouth to retort. Some excuse would do, any excuse.

"I've never had anything. No education. No fantasies. No life to live... No love," muttered one of the girls.

She scowled. She hated being interrupted. She really hated it. She leaned forward suddenly and pointed at the girl, her unnaturally bright blue eyes burning. "You know it's really rude to interrupt," she said. Her lips spread into that painfully wide grin. "Someday you'll run off that filthy mouth of yours to the wrong person and they'll decide that you don't need to live anymore. Then you'll be dead and won't have to worry about your pathetic life."

Rose sighed and stood up. She very well understood she would get nowhere with her current approach. And thus she decided to try another shift of tactics. She walked over to one of the windows, seemingly looking outside but still seeing her class through the reflection.

"I know none of you are here voluntarily, but you seem to misread our intentions. Or my intentions, at the very least. I am not here to play the warden of a high-security prison. I do not want to keep you prisoner. I still think of the name of this institution as being an ill choice. "Rehab Center" makes it sounds as if it is a clinic. It isn't. It's a school. We are here to help you control your powers, but can only do so if you let us."

She turned around and looked at the Khael.

"You, Miss Thera. You do not want to be here. You long back to your past situation. But, since you are here now, you decided to make the best of it by having fun, even if it makes other peoples lives miserable. And you, Miss Tiden, you believe you have never had anything, and you abhor pity. I am not here to pity you, I am here to help."

Her gaze turned a little darker while talking, and the temperature in the room turned cold.

"You are not the only ones who despise being here. But the thought that I might help you in finding your purpose in life makes it worthwhile. I already offered my help to Tessela and Rayen, so that they may master their abilities. I am willing to help any single one of you, as is Mr. Hunter. You need only ask."

Her gaze turned a little friendlier again now that she was done giving her speech, and gradually the temperature returned to normal as well. "That is all for today's session. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to come to me."

Rose then sat down at the desk and took her notebook, ignoring the students and allowing them to go about their own business.

"You know it's really rude to interrupt,โ€œ I could hear Khael's words ringing in my head. Don't pick a fight don't pick a fight...
"some day you'll run off that filthy mouth of yours to the wrong person and they'll decide you don't need to live any more. And you'll be dead and won't have to worry about your pathetic life."

Immediately my head whipped around to face Khael. If looks could kill, the Khael would have just died about thirty times just from me narrowing my eyes . I honestly thought if I gripped the arms of the chair any harder, they might small off. I looked away from her again, and my anger seemed to boil inside of me. A tingling sensation climbed its way up my fingers and spread across my hands. Wearily I took them of the arms off the chair and shoved them into my pockets.

I could barely hear anything over the ringing of my ears. When Miss Fieldings said we could go, I stood up quickly, and unintentionally, the chair launched backwards in a blast of air and slammed into the wall. My hands were balled into fists as I left the room, my anger pounding in my skull like a headache. I didn't know what to go know. Was it time for any classes? I looked at a clock and tried to remember if it was.

(OOC: sorry this post is a bit late, one of my family members from Florida came up and we were having a party of sorts and then she along with all my other younger cousins had to sleep over my house. It's been rather difficult to post.)

I shook my head, and kept walking through the halls. I dont think i have any classes right now... Actually the only class i really seem to show up to is gym...

My hands were still fists in my pockets. "Those little witches are lucky they have some one to teach them. I'll probably be stuck here my whole life..." i grumbled to myself asi wandered the halls. My mind seemed to be clouded by everything that has been going on. And Khael...

Just thinking about her made my tempurature flare up. The tingling in my hands spreaded up to my arms. Stop thinking about it. Remove your source of anger and you have nothing left to be angry about. Those words... I knew I had never said them myself, someone told me. But I can't remember who...

I tried to clear my mind, but everything was foggy. "I need some fresh air..." i muttered and walked towards the gardens.
"If only they had a pool of some sort, then i would always be in a much better mood..." i said to myself. As I approached the door, i pushed it open and immediatly took a deep breath through my nose. I jogged outside, through the flowers and bushes and the paths. I looked at i majestic oak, basking in its vastness. The wind seemed to whisper to me as it flowed through the branches of the tree, and some leaves fluttered down at my feet. Walking up to the trunk, i ran my fingers down the side, and looked strait up it.

I small smile creased my lips. "Looks like i have something fun to do, finally," i smirked. Sure I'm not a big fan of heights, but I've always loved trees. I placed my foot on a low knot sticking out of the tree, and began my climb. I was like a squirrel with blonde hair. I didnt even make sure that every branch I stepped on was safe. I found every knot, crook, and hole i could put my foot in.

After about ten minutes, i made it all the way to the top. I found a sturdy looking branch, and scooted as far as i could before the branch started bending. A small gasp escaped my lips before i could stop it. Everything was in my view.
"Oh wow!" i laughed looking around, my eyes sparkling.

Rose couldn't quite find any rest in her room. She got up, scribbled a note reading she could be found in the gardens, and started walking. She figured the young witches would be able to find her outside when the time was ready. As she walked through the corridors, the other mentors looked at her with a strange glimmer in their eyes, as if they knew she planned to teach magic to students. Well, even if they did know, they couldn't do anything to stop her. Rose prouded herself on being one of the most powerful mentors in the center. She just hoped that was actually true.

Once outside, she sat down on a bench from where she could oversee the grounds. A young student in a tree, a mentor napping on the stairs, little groups of students sitting in the grass with their books, mentors overseeing everything. And sitting there, her mind finally grew calm.

I lied on the branch on my stomach, head resting on my hands. My eyes were closed and a small smile was creasing my lips. My foot twitched and I hummed with my mouth shut.

After a while, I dozed off. My breathing was steady and even, calm as it ever was. But, I am a restless sleeper. I rolled over, yawning, believeing I was in my bed.

I was jerked awake to the sound of wind whistling in my ears and the ground flying at me at an amazing speed. I yelped and paniced. I clenched both my fists, and slammed them together in the direction of the ground. A sudden gust of air launched me upwards, and I crashed my way through all the branches grunting painfully. I went much higher then the tree's highest branch, so what I did kind of had a reverse effect. A small whimper rang through the air as I began to plummet again. You know you can do this. Come on. Concentrate.

I moved my hands in quick motions, and the air swirled around me. I was caccooned in a mini whirlwind. I need to land somewhere where I wont die. I cant keep this up much longer! Immediatly, I pinpointed a place to land. I angled myself in the direction of the pond. About twenty feet above it, the whirlwind vanished, and I dropped with a loud splash into the pond.

Rose had seen the events that had taken place, and moved towards the pont as Emily fell. Immediately after the splash, she grabbed the girl by her collar and pulled her out of the water. "Well, Miss Tiden. I believe that was not the most fortunate place to fall asleep, was it now? You should go inside and change into some dry clothes. And perhaps you could refrain from falling asleep in trees from now on, just to save all of us the shock?"

And with those words, Rose wandered back to the bench she came from. Many of the mentors were amazed by the speed with which she had reached the pond, especially now she was walking back with the speed that one would expect of someone her age. Once she had reached the bench, she sat down again, as if nothing had ever happened.
