"Daniel, was it?" He said, taking his eyes from the road for a minute. "What brought you here? Surely some reason, correct? I would find it hard to believe if you were simply out in the middle of the highway..." He said kindly.
While he was waiting on the answer, he asked. "Where might you be from, anyway, if you dont mind me asking?"

It was on the smaller side, with only twenty-five to thirty buildings. From his position, Maxim could make out a gas station, a grocery store, and what looked to be a gun store, but he couldn't tell because a building was partially in the way. He then scanned around for any people, living or otherwise. There were two or three zombies shambling around, but nothing they couldn't handle. He slung his rifle on his back and walked back to the motorcycle. The two cars had caught up to him, and began to come to a halt. Maxim got on his bike. He looked at the men in the cars. "The town seems empty, except for a few zombies. There is a gas station, a grocery store, and what looks to be a gun store, but I couldn't really tell." Maxim fired up his bike, and after a little bit, the group of vehicles drove off.

Over her headset, a man said back to her, "Sorry can't do that, there's no place to land. But, don't get your hopes down, they're evacuating at some town not far away, if you can make it, you'll get to D.C. See ya soon."
"Just my luck, which direction is it?" she asked. "Let's see it should be east of your position. Oh and before we cut the communication, I need to tell you something. If you find any survivors, don't tell them. And if they follow you, they'll be taken care of at the evac site. Over and out."
Gwen struggled to free herself, she was in pain but it didn't feel like anything was broken. She took out her map and looked at it. "Well this is no help, I don't have any idea where I am. Better start going, and hope I'll find something that tells me where I am. Let's see east is... this way." She picked up her gun and pack and started walking east. Everything around her was trees and plants, nothing else.
What seemed like an hour, she finally saw a roof of what looked like a house. "Yes, hopefully there's someone alive there." She moved quietly, watching carefully. She didn't like the looks of the town, but it's seemed like the only safe place.

He rummaged through the shelves, finding a pack of cigarettes, a beef jerky stick, and an old lottery ticket. He left the beef jerky and cigarettes on the counter. He hopped back over and went into the backrooms. It was dark, and smelled like something was rotting inside of it. He pulled out his flashlight and began to look around. There was mostly junk, and nothing worth taking. He spotted a hallway in the back of the room and approached it. There were three doors. He checked the first room, revealing it to be a bathroom. The second room had a few chairs and a T.V. He approached the next room, and peered inside.
There were three bodies, completely torn apart. It must of happened only a few days ago, because the corpses stunk to high heaven. They were too chewed up to be zombies. Maxim quickly left the room, and made his way outside. He waited until the others were done looking around, and had gathered into a sort of circle. "Well, the gas station didn't have much in it. I was thinking about going to the gun store next. Anyone want to come along?"

He hopped out of his truck, grabbing his trusty lever shotgun, and slinging it over his shoulder. He knew the Horde that they had out run would catch up to them in maybe a day's time. Probably less. They needed to hurry and get what they could from this town, and move on. He shut the door to his truck ,and walked up next to Kyle, as Maxim walked in the station. "So. Kyle, what do you say we check out the weapon store. It has probably been looted, but by all means, anything we can get is good."
He waited for DJ to get out of his truck too. Maxim was far ahead of them, already having searched the gas station, with little results. "I will join you. Kline. You are?" He said softly as he walked next to the man.

In a street nearby the gas station, Archer stood looking towards the pump while rolling a cigarette along his teeth. He cocked his head slightly, watching a few people moving around the pumps.
"You see that Baxter?" Archer said, his speech slightly distorted due to chewing on a cigarette. His dog looked attentively at him through the mostly closed window, with only a finger width of space open. "Those aren't zombies moving around.."
Archer looked across the street for a few seconds more before opening the back seat and grabbing his M14. "You stay here, I'll be back in a minute," He said in a commanding tone to the dog. Putting the strap over his neck and shoulder, he shut the door and walked towards the gas station, leaving his companion staring out the window after him.
He debated whether to watch them to see what their intentions were, or to come up front and introduce himself. But if he were caught spying on them, he could be regarded as threatening. Putting his hands up in the air in plain sight of everyone as he walked near the pumps, he called out, "Hello fellow survivors!"

She dislodged her knife from the zombies cranium, and cleaned it off. "Gross." She backed off from the room and went to each other room, and knocked on the doors. Luckily she didn't have to go through killing anymore. When she was done inspecting she started checking what looked like the master bedroom, she found a 12. gauge, but only a 5 shells. She picked it up, making sure it was loaded, and went to the window, seeing if there were any places worth inspecting. In the distance she saw a gas station, and hoped there were maybe some people inside. Before she turned away, she saw something moving outside slowly. She knew what it was, and it looked like there were more of them inside the houses. "I guess I'll have to wait for my move, don't wanna die here." She decided not to the downstairs, in case there were some the got inside. She closed the door and locked it and moved the bed and furniture in front of it. "Why couldn't there be 2 others with me, we could take care of those things easily." When she looked out again, it seemed they were all heading in the same direction. That means there were some survivors, she thought, I gotta go find them.
She opened the window quietly hoping not to be noticed, but it was useless. When she barely moved it, it made a loud squeak. "Damn it, how could this get worse." Behind her she could hear moans and banging on the door, "that's how." She climbed out the window and jumped down. She rolled, drew her shotgun and went into a shooting stance. Good thing they moved slowly, or else she wouldn't have had enough time to make it through a gap between all of them. She started running towards the gas station, shooting any zombies that got too close. "There better be survivors here, or else I'm dead."

He was walking and observing around him the chances that this gunstore still had anything of use was so remote that he almost could feel it. In fact, when they had reached the door, the glass was busted in, as if entry was already forced. He reached inside and twisted the knob with one hand, and pushed the door open with the tip of his shotgun. He looked around the store cautiously, and he was right. The store's inventory was empty. Almost nothing was on shelves, or behind counters. Shell casings and empty magazines were strewn everywhere,
"Well. This place looks a bust." Foxchild said with a dull tone.

"My name's Samuel Archer," He began as he slowly walked towards them. "I used to be a scientist, until this outbreak started. I'm a survivor, just like you now." Waving his hand behind him he said, "My car is in that direction. I haven't seen another person in ages; if you guys don't mind, I'd like to come along. If not, I'll be on my way."

“Hey guy’s something’s going on out here!” Kyle said loudly but not quite yelling. All of a sudden Kyle saw someone running from a small horde of about twenty zombies. Who ever was running from them was on their way to the gas station. “Guy’s get out here now!” Kyle looked back but they were in the back room. Kyle started sprinting closer to the zombies so he could make his bullets count. The person running had just made it to the road with the zombies about fifteen yards behind. Kyle stopped and dropped to a crouched shooting stance about thirty feet from the person that was running from the zombies. Now Kyle could see that the person running was female and was wearing an army uniform. Kyle unfolded the stock on his AR-15 and aimed at the closest zombie and fired a signal round into the zombies head. The sound broke the silence of the ghost town and replaced it with the echoing sound of thunder. The zombie fell to the ground, three other zombies broke off of the group and started coming after Kyle.

She decided to go over to the group of people, "Alright, no time for introductions, so if you got a vehicle or something we should get out of here now, there are more not far from here." She looked back and her eyes got wider, more zombies were coming out of the houses and walking after them. "Come on, we gotta get out of here now!" She pulled out her pistol and started shooting, but couldn't get a shot to the head. She was breaking their arms and a few lucky shots on their spines, but that was all.

"Alright, no time for introductions, so if you got a vehicle or something we should get out of here now, there are more not far from here. Come on, we gotta get out of here now!" Kline couldnt agree more. "Okay, but we need to do this orderly. People with closer range weapons of course will take the front, while those with longer ranges take the back. People in the front will crouch and move at the same time. This let's people with longer range firearms shoot over them. Secondly we'll need someone to watch our flanks. We don't need to be surprised." He took a commanding tone. "And we don't have to move very fast. Damn shamblers don't move very quick themselves."
"So, that leaves me, and Daniel up front. Daniel, take out your shotgun!" He said to the boy. "Kyle, Maxim, Army Girl, you're on long range defense. New fellow...uh, Samuel, I want you to watch our sides and back, if you see anything direct one of the three in the middle to take them out." He walked towards the door, dropping to low crouch, and raising his shotgun to his shoulder, ready to fire, and rack the next shot.
