Vrarin yawned, leaning back against a large tree. It wasn't an ordinary tree, in fact, it grew up side down. And then to the left. And then to the right. And of course, it finally went up, much like a large chair. He sat back, staring up at the open pink and purple skies above him and watching the flying antelope make their way to candy cane mountain. Yes, these places literally do exist. Anything some child, or even adult, has dreamt about, exists in this world.

I thought I saw the path a moment ago, Yorkie thought to herself. She blundered through path after path, becoming more scared every second. She clutched the plastic bag to her chest, gripping the egg box tightly between her fingers. She stumbled a little, before coming to an open space. Across from her a river flowed, and in the middle of the river stood a pretty blonde girl she'd never seen before. Walking forwards on shaking legs, Tilly chewed her top lip. "Hello? C-Can you help me? I'm lost and I have to get home! I-I gotta give mum her eggs for our breakfast," she murmured, showing her the egg box. "I- I don't know where I am."

Confused for a second, she frowned. "Home. Y-You know, the house. Uh, with the toilet and beds and a kitchen? Where you live." She glanced down at her eggs, before walking closer to Karma. "Can you tell me where I am? I forgot to go the normal way home because there were some mean looking tough boys and they had boy germs. I didn't wanna go near 'em so I chose a different way home, thinking I could cut through the trees to get back to my pathway, but then I kept walking and there were just more and more trees." She looked around for a second, before coming to look at Karma yet again. "And this isn't the way home. Do you know where a phone is?"

"Saiko will find cloth somewhere. A person dreams up new things so Saiko might find a new friend."
Sure enough, Saiko came face to face with a standing stuffed frog. It offered a blue ribbon to cover up the wound.
"Pretty... Saiko thanks the froggie. Which dream did he come from?"
The frog didn't answer. His mouth was stitched shut. Saiko took the ribbon and tied it around her head to stop the bleeding.
"Would the froggie like to come with Saiko? Saiko hasn't had a friend in ten years, so Saiko would be really happy if the froggie said yes."
The frog said nothing but jumped in Saiko's arms.
"Yay! Saiko is so happy~ Saiko is Saiko."
As Saiko talked to her silent companion, she noticed that four people were conversing near a tree. The one man seemed extremely familiar and he was also the one not talking. Saiko decided to sit on the other side of the tree.
"Saiko has seen the man before. What is the man's name?"

Confused and afriad, she clutched the carton tighter. She glanced over as someone passed. "E'scuse me!" she called, reaching out for their arm. "Miss? I think she hit her head. I'm scared, can you help?" she asked timidly. She showed her the eggs, removing the box from the little white plastic bag. "I need to get these home. I need to have breakfast with mum so I can go to school. C-Can you tell me where I am?"
She was becoming a shaking mess, stumbling as she tried to follow. She was torn. Who should she follow? She decided to stay put. Seating herself at the edge of the river, she pulled her Chuppu-chup from the bag, popping it into her mouth after removing the wrapper. The sweet made her feel better, so she watched the blonde for a second. "What's your name, miss?" she asked Karmen, rolling up her jean legs and removing her thongs to dip her toes in the water.
She paused for a moment though, when she realised what'd happened to her legs. They'd morphed together into a long tail, and up to her lower torso was now covered in scales. Not to mention the tail had ripped the crap out of her shorts. "Oh. I get it now. I'm dreaming." She slipped into the water completely, flipping the fluke of her tail a little. "So that means I'm not actually lost! Hooray!"

Vrarin frowned, rubbing his temples. He seemed annoyed that the girls had found him, he was just trying to think. Ah, but what could he do about it. He didn't have the heart to tell them off. Standing, he turned, almost walking right into Saiko. "My name? ... My name is Vrarin," he told her, tilting his head when he heard a familiar tune. Smiling to himself, he repeated the name under his breath, unsure whether or not anyone would hear him.

Saiko continued to stare at him.
"Saiko thinks that Vrarin's name is cool... Saiko's name is Saiko. Saiko's lived in Instalin for three years now. Vrarin must have lived here longer than Saiko."
Saiko was silent for a bit.
"Does Vrarin need to go somewhere? Could Saiko go with Vrarin if he does? Saiko is wandering aimlessly and she wants to feel like she matters again."
Saiko tilted her head as she waited for an answer.

Paddling slowly over to the edge where Karmen squatted, she tilted her head. "Me? My name is Tilly. Most people call me Tills or Yorkie. I like either, so take your pick." She paused for a second, the tips of her fluke tracing circles in the water. "Years? But this is just a dream, how could you stay in here for years?"
She flipped her tail and dragged herself up onto the ground beside Karma. "Oopsie, fish out of water." The tail flopped helplessly for a while. "Oh, I need to dry off. But First I need clothes..."

Vrarin smiled, shaking his head. "Well, I think Saiko is a lovely name," he replied, looking around. "I'm heading nowhere in particular, but if you wish to follow, then there is nothing stopping you." he told her, starting in the opposite direction of the candy mountain. He wasn't really one for sweets anyways. "Three years? ... I've been here for about four or five. I lost count many, many minutes ago. Besides, you can never be sure in this world."

"Vrarin is right... Instalin is confusing and disorienting. Saiko is often worried about some of the nightmares that take place. But nightmares can be dreams for some. Saiko's been in bad encounters with nightmares."
Saiko shivered as she remembered. Then, the two came across a forest.
"Saiko sees a forest. There may be something to do there."

Smiling up at the girl, Tilly nodded. "Well, of course! I love making friends," she replied happily. Glancing over at her tail, she frowned and turned back to Karma. "Wait, so explain to me how this whole dreaming business is done. I've never been very Lucid before, at least not like this! Also how do I wake up?" She bit down on her bottom lip and raised her eyesbrows, tilting her head side to side at the same time as her fluke.
