Image

Shura is lanky like that of a dancer, though he never really thinks about it. As a matter a fact, he's rather shy about his build and normally changes the subject that matter. He eats like a horse most of the time, but always works it off in his hobbies.

His hair falls past his shoulders to his middle back, most of the time a dark brown almost black, though sometimes there are small trinkets in his hair sometimes.

PERSONALITY

Shura can be described as an odd person. He is rather shy at first, mostly content to watch a person before getting to know someone. At the best of times, he can be interesting just to watch or just talk to and generaly very friendly. His manner of speaking can change from his default accent to something completely different on a dime if he feels that someone needs a bit of a cheer up. His odd ticks also are a source of either amusement or confusion. From responding to movement behind him and cherpping when it's dark or he can't see to not being able to move his hand fully and a slight aversion to doing things during the day things that he really says are just part of him.

At worst, Shura can come of as weird, and in some cases a bit frightning. On the occasions that he gets agitated or mad, he has a tendency to hiss or lower his head as if growling at them in some way. Normally he's fairly passive agressive about the thing that's making him aggitated. Some times, usually when he's confronted with something he doesn't want to talk about, he almost shuts down and just reverts back to his shyness and stops talking most of the time. Even rarer is outright rage, which is none to pretty for someone with a penchent for hissing at people so they would go away.

Hobbies: Crossdressing, wood and claywork, dancing, playing his ocarinas
Wanted Occupation: He wants to go into burlesque dancing, but is looking into selling some of his clay trinkets as well.

HISTORY
Relationship Status: Nothing yet
Family: Mother, Father back in Moscow, two adopted little sisters
Known Languages: english, russian, sindarin (yes. you read that right)

Shura lived a relatively normal life being the eldest of his siblings, his mother divorced his father when he was young so he never really got to know him. However, moving to the us at the age of 5 started to really shake things up a bit.

His mother adopted his two sister when he was 8, and elementary was coming to take a toll on the boy. Being the overprotective mother that was is, she home schooled him up until they moved to degrassi. And being a freshman after being homeschooled for most of his school going life was a bit of a culture shock.

He didn't come out to his mother until sophmore year, but it didn't really go as he expected. No yelling, just a hug and a question of dinner options. Nothing that he had heard. This left him a bit paranoid and every small question about what he was doing set him on a sort of edge. After two weeks though, his mother spilled the beans on her thoughts. He was still her son even if he was attacted to both sides. So long as his little boy was happy he was fine.

Being in deggrassi has given him a bit of a game to play as a bit of a messenger. Always listening in on conversations even when he isn't intending to. Becoming a bit of an information bank for most. He's hoping to avoid become the start of some war over misunderstanding and has been taking a backseat to most things as of recently.

Other: There is an explanation for the odd ticks he has. Shura is an bat otherkin, meaning that he feels more like a bat, but still human in most ways. This also explains why he "can't move his hand" for he just has a case of phantom limbs in the form of his arms and hands feeling like bat hands, and having the feeling that he has bat ears rather than normal ears. This is why he responds to movement and random small sounds because if feels like his ears moved toward the sound or movement

"Baty? Baty, time to get up baty."

Shura wasn't one for mornings. His hand than hung off the side of the bed twitched and came to live and reached for the little girl with glasses that tuggered at his covers. "Vat time is it sveetheart?" He said as he started to push himself off the bed. He was only wearing black pajama pants for the moment, and his hair looked like he was some kind of movie ghost.

"7:40. Mama already left with munnin for the doctor."

He perked up a bit, swinging his legs over the side of his full sized bed and pushed his back out in a strech. "I nearly forgot Munnin had a doctors appointment. I'm running late малютка*, so you're gonna have to walk yourself this time." The little girl nodded and skipped out of his room. He yawned loudly swinging his arms in front of him as his flapping and sighed. "Need to make this quick." He muttered to himself as stood and started wandering toward the bathroom.

~~~
8:20
Rush hour. A terrible time to have the feeling he was wrong side up while waiting for traffic to pass. He muttered quietly to himself in irritation as he watched the cars pass by. He wore a well worn pair of jeans and a red shirt with the horde symbol on the front and his head capped off with a bat hat. Nothing that odd, just a hand made hat given to him as a gift for his birthday. Most of the time it was with him, other times he left it at home due to absent mindedness. Either way is was seen as odd.
Soon traffic let up enough for him to make a break for it and into class, only to feel like his arms had become wings again. "Vy does this happen every gods forsaken morning?!" He yelled as he darted into the school hallways past people who he nearly flew through (pun intended). He soon slowed to a stop, panting and leaning against the lockers to catch his breath. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and nodded before going back to putting the wind back into himself.
8:43. Nearly late by that much.
Beep beep beep beep beep...
"Oh, for God's sake..." She moaned and fumbled for her phone. There were few things in the World more uncomfortable than the noise of an alarm clock. That was how Sophie felt anyway. She had always hated it. It meant that she had to get out of her soft and warm bed and get up and... Do stuff. Meh, it's not so bad when I get up... That was the best sort of comfort she could find right now. Then she proceeded to make the mistake she'd done so many times. The house was empty, other than her own presence and so she figured that just five minutes more would do the trick. Mistake
When she finally woke up again, her hair was the same mess as before. Sophie glanced at the clock again and her eyes widened. "Crap!" She said and flung the covers off, swinging both legs over the side of the bed. The t-shirt she'd worn to bed landed on the floor, after which she proceeded to pick a pair of jeans, a white tank top and then added the rest of her accessories. The leather armband, her watch, her ring and her father's dog tag. "I hate being late..." Sophie mumbled to herself and sighed. She was going to make it on time, but she liked not being stressed in the morning.
After she had brushed her teeth, tamed her hair and added some perfume, the brunette flew down the stairs and snatched a piece of bread with nutella on it and ran out the door, only to realize that she had forgotten her backpack. "Son of a..." Quickly, she i locked the door, ran inside and grabbed what she needed, then going outside again.
8.20
"Thank God I live so close." She blessure herself (and her mother) for that, since that meant she didn't have to run. Her hair wasn't tied up in a ponytail like it was most of the time. It hung loose down to her shoulders in closing curls. Most people and herself including, said that it looked better, but it took a Montgomery to make it look good. At least Sophie thought so. It was thick and wild. The half American half Danish girl checked her reflection in her phone, just to see if her eyes looked okay. They were framed as they usually were and all in all, she was pleased with how she looked today. What, considering the time she had spent on it.
Fortunately, Sophie Stark didn't need a lot of make-up to look good (or feel like she looked good).
It was just as the morning traffic was worst that she made it to the school. The feeling of spending the day in this place weighed heavy on her shoulders. It really was not what she wanted today, at all. She ran a hand through her hair as she opened the doors to go inside and found her locker, where she threw the things she didn't need to carry around into. Time check again.
8.40
"Well... Good morning, Ms. Stark." The brunette said to herself. The time she needed to pass was spent on watching the people that walked through the halls. She spotted a boy panting as he leaned against the lockers, wearing a strange hat. The sight made Sophia smile. She was unaware that she was staring at him, but it wasn't exactly Something she saw very often.
When one's hands feel like bat wings at the same time as being normal wings, things tend to feel strange for the rest of the day. He strightened out and yawned as he looked around. People heading to class as he should, though normally he brought most of his books with him. His first class was math, a subject he hated but could get through decently granted that he didn't fall asleep from it. He sighed, as he looked around one last time. Most of the people he saw had been here since he came back to school from home, very few new faces but that was a given for being in a small town.
He noticed a girl staring at him from a distance, making him feel a twitch on his head. It didn't come from the ears on his hat, but the phantom limbs again. He closed his eyes in an effort to ignore them and waved at her before heading off to class. "Я ненавижу математику ..." he muttered to himself as he wandered in.
A boy on a skateboard used came flying down the hall. He stopped outisde his classroom and headed inside along with a lot of other people. Sophie stood and found the books she was going to need for her next class. She was never really good at math, but she did just fine. It was just boring and seemed so endless when you sat in that room, listening to a teacher go on and on about whatever it was. Next, she saw the boy with the strange hat looking at her, giving her a small wave before he headed into the classroom as well. Sophie tilted her head and couldn't help but smirk as she returned the gesture and let her hand linger in the air for a moment. He's... Odd. She thought to herself, though it brought a smile to her face.
"Oh... Shit." Her books landed in her hands along with whatever else she needed. Apparently the fact that people were rushing to their class didn't seem to alarm her in any way. Sophie quickly walked into the classroom as well though and found a seat in the back, glancing around at the people in there with her. So many souls meant to suffer in here for too long... The dismal thought made her sigh. The blonde that was also sitting in the back, same row as herself seemed like she didn't care about anything at all. She had seen her around many times before, but never really caught the name.
"Late for school, poor breakfast and then having to sit through this isn't exactly the best of mornings." She was speaking mostly to herself although it came out loud as she did. Another boy had chosen a seat in the back as well. Oh, that's the one with the skateboard. The brunette smirked again. If a teacher had seen that he would probably had been told off. "I didn't know it was allowed to use that indoors." Sophie said to him and pointed at his skateboard, offering him a smile.
Despite the fact that they had to start the day off with math, it was monday as well. Right at the moment, the idea of sitting outside in the sun with a cold beer was much more appealing to her. Maybe after school there would be a chance of that, provided that she could find someone up for that as well. Who wouldn't be willing to have a cold beer on a monday afternoon?
If shura wasn't known for his ticks and random specks of russian in his speech, then it was power naps during class. Usually during the beginning of class, he was normally asleep until the teacher came up in which was was up like nothing had happened other then a line of drool coming from his mouth. However, the first day was something of an event for the sences for him. Seeing who was back, who was new and who had changed for the better or the worst.
Spencer wasn't someone he talked to all the time, but had exchanged words a number of times with no hostility. No grudge against him, maybe they could friends at some point. Then again, with all his ticks and tendencies he would need to be careful.
Juliet was also someone who he saw every now and again. Late alot of the time while he was in class early to sleep and she was always there when he woke up. Then again, he was observent when it came to strange noises so it was nothing of a huge importance.
He sat in the middle of the class, one of the middle rows where he could remain undisturbed as he stared to dig though his bag for his note book. His pencil slipped from his sleeve as he started to sketch inside. Pictures of animals and mythical creatures along with various house types quickly filled the pages. Something to pass the time is all.
Juliet
Juliet sighed as she sat there at the back of the class. Pretty much everyone was talking, but the teacher didn't seem to care so much. Walk in late and he'd glare daggers, but once the lesson started...well, unless he had something out for you, he didn't care how much everyone talked.
She didn't say a word, mostly observed. Everyone was in class at this point—at lest she thought so. She recognized Spencer of course, sliding in just before he was late. And Theodore, who she didn't know personally but she'd seen around a bit the year before.
There was another boy she recognized too, a thin guy with long hair she'd be jealous of if she didn't love her own hair so much. He was usually asleep when she came rolling in, but this time he wasn't. She liked his hat. If she was more social, she probably would have told him so.
There was another girl who had been there for about a year, with gorgeous eyes and some awesome blue hair. Juliet was quite taken by her looks, she had to admit, and again...perhaps she would say something...in another life.
The only other two girls in the room that caught her attention were both brunette. One white and the other some kind of Spanish mix if she was willing to bet on it.
She smiled to herself as she tapped her pencil against her paper. Well, at least the scenery was good.
Spencer
Spencer looked up slowly as he heard a voice, and found himself eye-to-eye with a very beautiful brunette, who was pointing at his board. What had she said?
He chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down at his board then back at her. “Ah, they're not really. But I've gotten in trouble so many times they've just...kind of gotten over it.”
Honestly, the bottom of his backpack was filled with warnings, but they'd only ever taken it away from him once. All he'd had to do was stay after school, plead his case, and add in a little tears about how that was the only way he could afford getting to school and...bingo. They gave it back.
Sad thing was, it was a completely true story.
He leaned out of his seat slightly to offer his hand. “Spencer.” Given that he'd been there his whole life, generally everyone knew him in one form or another, or at least his name. Degrassi was small, but it wasn't so small that everyone always had the same class with each other. It wasn't unusual to bump into someone new.
Actually, this year he barely knew a lot of the people. He knew Juliet from previous years, and a couple of guys he'd seen around from time to time, but as far as friends went...he had few left.
Aaliyah
Out of all the classes that she had math was by far the worst subject she had. It wasn't that she hated it because she didn't understand it she hated it because she understood it and the fact that it wasn't a challenged made it boring. It was a waste of time for her to sit there nearly an hour and have nothing to challenge her.
She was off in her own word when she noticed the teacher glaring at her, what did I do now she thought to herself. "Well Ms.Villegas, what's the answer?" She was lost for her eyes shifted from the teacher to the board, doing the math in her head she looked back at the teacher "Uh ... A = -3." The teacher just gave her a annoyed look before nodding "Correct Ms.Villegas, but it wouldn't kill you to pay attention to my lesson" Aaliyah nodded "Yes sir."
The class was boring and she was tired but as much as she wanted to go to sleep she stayed awake not waiting to give the teacher any reason to talk to her for the rest of the day. Resting her head in her left hand she wrote down the work with her right. "So class I've to decided to give you all a project as a way to get everyone associated with one another," the teacher started as he leaned against the front of the desk looking at all his students. With in the class there was 20+ students but only fourteen of them had show up which made this an easy split. Writing down the names of who was in what group the teacher placed the piece of paper on his desk "Come up to see which your in" he said moving aside.
She gave a low sigh before getting up form her table she walked up to the desk and read the paper. As she skimmed the white piece of paper she read the names of her group members in her head.
She had no idea who any of these people were personally but she was always up for meeting new people. "I will be giving you your assignments tomorrow and you and your groups will have until next week to finish and then present them. You guys have until the end of class to chat and such."
Aurora smiled and waved goodbye to her friend before going into the school, her skateboard tucked safely under her arm. Making her way down the hallway towards her class she dropped off some of her extra crap into her locker. Caring a butt load of extra stuff didn't seem very nice at the moment since her shoulder was killing her. Walking again she finally made her way into her classroom and noticed some more students were in. Her blue eyes scanned around the room as she noticed some familiar faces in the class.
The Juliet girl who seemed like she'd be quite a blast to hang out with, in truth. Along with that Theodor kid who had pretty nice hair and not to mention eyes. This school did seem to be lacking a bit of color in the hair department though; which was a bit upsetting. Who else... oh yea that Spencer guy seemed pretty chill, his looks weren't bad either. Maneuvering around all the cluster of desks she sat down at a table that was right in front of the back row. Placing her things down and crossing her legs she rested her chin into the palm of her hand.
"Ugh, class hasn't even started and i'm tired..." She muttered to herself, blowing a stray Azul colored hair out of her face. Her multi-colored nails tapped nonchalantly on her desk; pulling out her sketchbook she started scribbling some lyrics into it. She wasn't any kind of song writer but it was fun throwing together little dabbles of songs and playing them on her guitar. The guitar was her best friend and her enemy at the same time. She loved it but it hated her, always breaking or un-tuning itself somehow.
Juliet
"So class I've to decided to give you all a project as a way to get everyone associated with one another."
Juliet sighed deeply. She hated group work. Not because of the work itself but because she mostly just didn't like people. She was anti-social in that way and she knew it. Besides, when there was group work at Degrassi it was usually in their spare time that they had to work on it.
She sighed and pushed herself rather roughly out of her seat as she went to look at the list of group names, but she was only halfway there when a phone suddenly went off, with a comical bit from a kids movie.
Even Juliet snickered at that. It was quite amusing.
"I will be giving you your assignments tomorrow and you and your groups will have until next week to finish and then present them. You guys have until the end of class to chat and such."
Spencer
Spencer smiled at Sophie. He'd seen her around a couple of times but hadn't actually gotten the chance to really talk to her. He liked her so far, but Spencer liked most people.
He got up when she did, and was right behind her when some kids phone went off. He had to laugh too, and realized he didn't know this kid either. Seen him around a couple of times, like Sophie, but never actually spoke to him.
He found his name on the list pretty soon. He didn't mind groupwork, mostly because he liked people and working in a team always seemed pretty good for him. Still, he kind of took the lead and walked back to his seat. The back to rows were pretty much where his group was already located anyway.
“Hey guys, come sit, we need to get acquainted and what not.”
He knew most of them. Spohie, whom he'd just met, Juliet who he'd known for awhile—though not well, Aaliyah he knew—she'd been a cheerleader back when. Pretty good too. Spencer himself had been popular before he came out, and that was when he lost track with what everyone else was doing. She had some nasty rumors about her, but nothing he'd hold against her.
Shura he knew pretty much by face only, he'd seen him around a couple of times too. Aurora was a lot like Juliet—pretty much everyone knew about her but not really knew her specificity. He figured it was probably the hair. And then there was Theodore, who he actually thought was pretty cute, though he'd never spoken to him.
If there was something that Shura was sure of, it was hearing in his sleep. A group assignment was something he had done before, usually opting out of them due to awkwardness, however...what was the harm in getting to know the people he was going to be working with?
He stood and started to "flutter" or rather wander around the back rows with his hands making a sort of bat wing motion. He could feel bat ears on top of his head rotating like satilites as he wandered to the back and eventually sat down about a seat away from Spencer. Having the feeling that your arms and hands were much bigger than they should was something that would stop and did stop from talking, making him watch him for a while.
