Introduction
Four ordinary people caught up in an apocolyptic disaster. Will they unite and work together to survive or will personal issues cause them to crumble and fall?
A group of young film studies students from the University of Fairfield are in the woods making their own horror film for a class project, when they hear on the radio the news of apparent mass-rioting and mass murder. Soon, these reports include cannibalism and the fact that the recently deceased are inexplicably waking and walking. When they cannot contact their families, they travel in a RV to find out what exactly is going on and to ensure it's not just a sick joke.

The four of them had been out in the woods for three days now, working on a school project for film class. Apparently, the guys and the two girls had different opinions on what made a scary movie scary, so it had been one interesting weekend, that was for sure. Especially with the typical college drinking at night, the guys constantly finding ways to scare the girls, and some bickering in between.
"Nevermind, I found it." Steph blushed in the darkness, once again finding something that she blamed others for losing, and then her fingers pushed on the switch. They still had a few things to pack up with all the film equipment outside, and they had hoped to get done before nightfall, but that time frame was long gone by now. Steph just wanted to go back to campus and sleep in her own warm bed. But at this rate, they wouldn't be back until morning with the commute they had. And it was freezing as hell outside, so Stephanie pulled the hood of her sweatshirt over her head to block the cold breeze blowing through. While normally a positive, upbeat girl, the weather outside dampened her mood a little as she grumbled to herself about cleaning up the beer cans tossed around the campfire that was nothing but coals now.
Trash duty outside wasn't the most fun, but it was definitely better than lifting and putting away all of the equipment, that was for sure. Steph liked to show men every now and again that she was stronger than she looked and could do everything they could....but who was she kidding?
After filling up the trash bag, Steph stepped up into the RV and tossed it into the bathroom to throw away someplace later. While in there, much warmer, she stalled and took her time in going back outside for more cleaning so she could check her phone; it was a girl thing. But no text messages, or missed calls greeted her when she turned on her phone. All that read was 'searching for service'. "Fucking AT&T." She mumbled as she dropped her phone back down again, knowing there was nothing she could do about it until they were finally able to leave.

"This is not girl's gone wild you know! There is not enough alcohol on this planet to make me take my shirt off for you!" She growled, bending over to pick a small stick off the ground and throwing it at his chest. "Come on." She said, looping her arm through Stephanie's. "Let's let the boys finish loading up while we make some food for the road." She said, glancing over her shoulder to stick her tongue out at Ellis.
Walking towards the RV, she let go of Stephanie to push open the door and go inside. She didn't know if her friend would follow her but she didn't mind if she didn't. She went about the kitchen, starting to boil some water in a pot. She figured spaghetti before their very long road trip would be a delicious treat. She went about making the food while humming. She even put some garlic bread in the small oven for them all to eat with it.

The last crew he'd been with had guns, and had nearly got him arrested, and out of school, and on a path to failure. " I mean I get where Ellis be coming from, ya know what he talking bout" He said his accent thick. "i mean Boobs, Ass, all that makes the movie better, then it would be without dat stuff? I mean Ellis you aight with me, but them two don't wanna be showing off the goods." He said with a grin on his face, he was joking around, Ellis was a funny person, someone who'd helped him play pranks on the girls over the course of the "Filming." He picked up a camera. "Come on Ellis, see what ya did bruh, driving away the girls, why you do that."
He said as he made his way to the trunk, he'd opened it up and he placed the camera down." Come on Ellis, get off ya lazy behind, and help me load this stuff up, this is some heavy shit right here" He said going to finish loading up.

Yes, Ellis McKinney had a knack for getting himself in trouble. Out in the middle of nowhere, in some creepy woods with some of his good buddies and he was still able to get a good tongue lashing. Sitting on a big box intended for equipment storage, he knew the moment he suggested, a more provocative death scene for one of the characters in the movie they were shooting, that one Melody Karcher would have something quick to retort with. He tried not to make eye contact with her as she her usual short, sharp rant at him over something silly. For making eye contact only made her worse, a fact he was well acquainted with at this stage of their friendship. As she finished up he went to make eye contact with her to argue his point of view but instead of his eyes catching her hot-headed face they landed on stick she had thrown in his direction. A stick which, moments later, hit him square in the chest. His face winced only out of automatic reaction, as Melody's throw had about as much force behind it as a baby trying to push a passenger plane loaded with cattle and lead.
"Girls Gone Wild? Now there's an idea! Forget horror, your idea is much better. Definitely get us a pass for our midterm assessment then!" He shouted to the back of her head as she went into the RV with Stephanie, followed by a light chuckle to himself. As he enjoyed his moment of comic genius, a voice boomed from behind him. "Ah Christ in a hand basket man! Don't scare me like that again!" His heart was thumping. The mechanic had focused so much on the girls, he'd almost forgotten about Tyrone. "Hey man I didn't drive no girls away... You said so yourself, it all makes the movie better!" He laughed and took another swig from his beer can. "Ah don't make me get up, I only just sat down! Been a hard day ya know and someone's gotta drink the rest'a these beers seeing as your goin' be driving soon!"
He raised the can to his buddy and took another few gulps, almost soaking himself with the last one. "Tyronnnne, watch my camera man." The camera Tyrone had just put away was Ellis' only prized possession that didn't have wheels. Yes, he had lots of prized possessions - he'd call the toast he's eating in the morning a prized possession if he was hungry enough at the time. He slipped off the box he was on and placed the beer can where he was sitting. "This is my baby. She's going to make some serious Hollywood Blockbusters some day, you wait an' see! An' it ain't heavy neither, ya big girl." He boasted as he lifted the container off the ground and headed towards the RV.
He strutted up the steps and proceeded to tidy away his camera, "Hey ladies, whatch'all cooking there? Smells like you're cooking up a can a whoop tastay! Niiiiiiice!" As he shoved the container under one of the counters, he accidentally hit off the radio and it switched on. Thankfully it was on low volume so it didn't make him lose his pants. "Aw look there you girls go, y'all can listen to the news while ya cook us dinner. I'm just perfect marriage material," he stretched his arms pulling a flexing pose and a smirk crept across his face as he exited the RV again to help Tyrone with the rest of the equipment, heading straight for his beer.

She took it off of her charger to check to see the message. It was a voicemail but her phone didn't show any missed called. "Guys, why didn't you tell me my phone was ringing?" She called out to the boys but didn't care if they heard. She called her voicemail putting in her code and waited. What she heard confused her. It was very staticy and hard to make out but she could tell it was her father on the phone. "Don't... come home... Something terrible is...happening. We don't... Something went wrong... Dead are coming back... Your mother's.... Don't come home... Please baby. Find somewhere safe to..." Then she heard a gut wrenching scream and the line dropped dead.
Mel's blood seemed to run cold. She had never heard her father sound so panicked before. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks as she pressed repeat on her phone. She listened to the message again but that only made her feel nauseous. Slowly she made her way outside to Ellis and Tyrone. "G-guys will you listen to this...? I got a message from home. I'm not sure what it means." She said, putting her phone on speaker phone so they'd both could hear as she replayed the message. She held the phone out so one of them could take it from her and listen to it themselves. She felt dizzy and almost as if her knees were about to give out from under her.

After he finished leading the equipment in the bank of the vehicle with SOME help from Ellis, he made his way over to his location also wanting to grab a beer. A nice cold drink after working hard was good. He opened up the mini fridge, and took out a cold glass of beer. His reflection could be seen in the bottle, he gave himself a thumbs up, before popping the drink open.
Ah yea..got that fresh taste, fiz coming up mhmm hell yea. He was making his way inside the RV when Melody received the strangest phone call, he raised an eyebrow, wondering if she was on drugs, and if so if he could pay her for some. He hoped she had his favorite stuff. He nodded. "Ok..I aint tryin to be funny, but it sounds like he having a bad trip, that or he's saying 28 Days Later is happening, and I think it's mo likely he trippin REAL bad, Trust me gurl I dun that shit before, it's real trippy, u gotta have a nice calm enviorment, see that big word? He saw she was woriried, but he wasn't being comical it sounded like hallugenic's. "Ight look..jus to make sure he okay, why not call yo mama see what's up wit her?

But the look on Melody's face when listening to her voicemail told her that she didn't have good news. "Sweetie, what's wrong?" She looked concerned, setting her bottle down and following her outside to Ty and Ellis to listen to the message. "I hate to say it, for once, I think Tyrone might be around. It sounds like your dad's on something." Steph shrugged a little, feeling bad for even suggesting such a thing. "Or maybe it's a joke? Does he do that a lot?" Steph looked back at both the guys, then Melody again. She knew she couldn't call her dad back, or her mom...unless she magically got some signal. Either way, she was a little creeped out, and instinctively it made her want to call I parents, to make sure they were okay too.
"C'mon, let's sit you back down." She reached for Melody's arm, feeling her shaking a little as she lead her back into the RV and sat her down in the passenger seat. Maybe listening to the radio could distract her mind a little and calm her down. Although, Steph couldn't help but have her mind racing from the message that Melody had receieved; it was definitely something that would stay with her for a while, and she couldn't forget the panicked tone in her dad's voice. "We should get back, so she can call her dad." Steph suggested, looking back at the guys for support.
