Demeanor:

He is a neurotic little man. Saying he is antisocial doesn't begin to cover his dislike of the outside world in general. His childhood left a severe mark on his ego which he compensates for by having an absurdly large one in-game. He can't be happy unless he is constantly winning, leading him to obsessively grind and number crunch until he has the best of everything and can defeat anything without effort.

PKing (Player Killing) is not his style as it distracts from his grinding but he has PK'd in the past when somebody else tries to steal his kills. Surprisingly though he is quite hard to antagonize, keeping his head even when everyone else is either freaking out or trying to troll him. He is quite intelligent and when put to a task he can be quite resourceful should push come to shove. His main weaknesses is his hubris and that he does not cooperate with others very often as it forces him to divide the rewards which is detrimental to the sole purpose of his gaming.

Offline he is a quiet person who talks rarely and mostly avoids contact with anyone he doesn't have to interact with. He spends most of the day when he is not online counting the seconds until he is online. Something he tries not to show online but someone can sometimes see when talking to him, especially in real life, is glimpses of the sullen bitterness and self resentment he has been accustomed to over the years.

RP Sample:

Right from the start he hit the ground running. The world rushed in, his senses absorbing every detail. Every aspect of the land surrounding him was a tad overwhelming, disorienting him momentarily as he adjusted from the quiet darkness of the loading screen to the flood of light and sounds and textures. He stood in the middle of the starting city, right nearby a fountain where many players were chatting with each other, most marveling at the sophistication of the game's graphics. He spared not a moment of time, racing in as straight a line as possible to the blacksmith. This was not his first time working through this routine.

True to his nature Phillip had hit the ground running as soon as he got into the beta. He orchestrated a strict regiment to conduct his questing on, reducing the amount of time he had to spend between grinding mobs and completing quests. Regardless of whether or not his character was permanent he power leveled like a madman. He used up all the vacation time his work offered, bought himself a months supply of caffeinated soda and snack foods and did absolutely nothing else but grind levels. By the time beta was over he had gained twenty pounds and his whole house reeked of cat urine but it was so worth it for that one last level he might not have gotten if he chose to sleep that one night he felt tired in between caffeine highs. He ignored almost everything that was not relevant to leveling. Quest dialogue? Beautiful scenery? Interaction with other players? PVP? Forget that noise, leveling was where he was at.

Before the NPC could even begin it's dialogue he ran through a blur of select phrases for navigation. "Menu! Basic Mace! Basic Shield! Plated Chain! Here's the pay, I'm gone!" Before it could even get out a coherent response he had taken the desired gear, leaving basically all of his starting fund with the large character as he darted from the store.

The only time he wasn't manically running was when he was donning his equipment. Clutching his iron mace in one hand, his medium sized metal shield in the other, he dashed towards the starting zone where the mobs lived, his chain links rattling all the way as they bounced from his hurried footsteps. His plan was to level his skills in one handed mace and shield. The sword was only really for utility purposes such as cutting through foliage but would still prove useful for combat should an enemy ever disarm him of his mace somehow.

He stood valiant in face of his opponents. Many a dire boar and dire snake had met their grizzly end at the head of his mace. The pummeling he had doled out to the mobs served him well, delicious experience points bringing about a good few levels towards his mace and shield skills. Levels, that all addicting reward which brings such bliss with every one he earns. After he grew exhausted from dishing out pain he simply sat, marshaling his constitution while he bathed in the glory of his first few levels. His ecstasy for gaining levels was tempered only by the knowledge that other people might be getting them too, closing the gap between their levels and his own. That would not do.

As he was about to continue he was dragged from the green surroundings of his mob farm to the starting city. It was there that the creator unveiled his great deception to the horror of many gamers. Many except Phil. He did not see the threat of death as much of a threat. He was already unsatisfied with his real life as it was. To experience death in the virtual world he'd probably want to be dead for screwing up so bad anyways. The fact he wasn't able to log out was little but an inconvenience. He had his apartment set up ahead of time so he could survive for a long time plugged into this world without needing to exit.

It was after the creator finished his tirade that Phil swore to defeat all the floors and the final boss. His intent was not to rescue the other players from being trapped in the game as that would result in being kicked from the game world, something he had little to no intent in doing in the first place. He resolved in ascending the floors and defeating the final boss simply to prove he is the best. In his mind it truly was victory or death.

"Meh. If I die at least Chester can eat my corpse."

So begins...

Kirito observed the strange player who had just dropped in front of him. That was quite the entrance he thought but pain not mind to him. He enter the shop and placed a bunch off small books on the table writing a sign that said guide book for free. He then walk up to the bar and order a small Tea, he waited as he saw the through his menu if anyone had send him a reply. He saw Miyer would be grinding soon and when the battle took place they would go together. He then took a look through his inventory he had two blades the anneal blade with + 6 enhancements and the blade of infinite MP. He had a hard time deciding which one to take to the boss battle but finally decided upon taking the anneal blade. He then receive his tea and drank it he left 20 Col on the bar and walked away. The fields were being picked cleans as he took a break but he knew the best spots to grind due to his beta tester back ground. He headed toward that direction hoping to see the field with the level 15 monsters and while he was going solo he could handle them as long as they didn't swarm. He pulled out his blade and began grinding his level slowly increasing. He decided to take a break from all the grinding and then walked back to the town thing were a lot calmer now people understood the vitality of being able to survive. The creator had finished speaking, sinking back from whence he came.

There was a hush over the crowd. Everyone had a mirror distributed to them, Magnus among them. The gruff, muscular warrior looked down at the odd new addition to his inventory. The creator, Kayabe Akihiko, had just told them all they were liable to die in the real world with an implausibly difficult challenge standing between them and the exit and yet this had barely even phased the herculean Magnus. What he saw in the mirror however sent chills down his spine, unnerving him to the core. This wasn't the fearless and proud Magnus looking back at him, it was him! The player behind the head gear, Phillip.

His masculine face had gruesomely transformed into this disgusting, sweaty and poorly groomed mug which he had the misfortune of calling his own. The rest of the body was no different, his amazing musculature having transformed back into this large lumpy thing with poor posture. He was frozen as he stared into the beady blood stricken eyes, no doubt a result of his lack of sleep as a result of his constant gaming, of his all too real reflection. He slowly placed the mirror back into his inventory and looked up to where Kayabe once hovered.

"Screw you! You pompous git!" He bellowed out, his words quickly lost into the sounds of panic which had now swept over the crowd. "Bloody heck. I gotta get out of this town." Before anyone sees me He added, albeit in his own head. Ducking his own head down he made his way out of the city whilst trying to avoid been seen through his helmet. Some guy was curled up in the fetal position on the floor directly in his path, around him crowds frantically running about and screaming about this and that. "I don't want to die... I don't want to die..." The guy in his path was repeating to himself while crying.

"Get out of my way. Bloody casuals." He pushed the guy out his way with the heel of his boot. The guy only shuddered and curled up even tighter as Magnus stepped pass him. Bloody heck, With all these casuals panicking like this it's gonna be a real pain getting around. Not that I need these idiots to beat this game. I could probably solo about most of it.
Magnus left the city, negative thoughts swirling about inside his head.

He spent quite a bit of time simply traveling. He was angry, rightfully so. Not only did this guy go and trap them all inside this game, an inconvenience without a doubt, he had the gall to reset their avatars to their real forms. Not far from him he saw a herd of wild boars idly grazing, paying no mind to him since they were generally neutral npc's. The boars stood out from the regular boars he had fought up until then. These ones were all black with white stripes (Or perhaps white with black stripes). Drawing upon his hard earned knowledge from the beta he recalled a mention of there being such mobs known as Zeboars, named of course from a portmanteau of zebra and boar. Being a rarer mob they were larger and it was rumored they offered more xp than regular boars.

Perhaps it wasn't a wise decision. No, it pretty much wasn't wise in any real sense. Being as angry as he was though he wasn't in the frame of mind to make smart decisions. He just strode on up through the grazing mobs, stepping over the viciously mauled corpses which lay strewn about the field which really should of been the first warning sign. Dead center of what appeared to be a veritable swarm of these mobs was the herd leader, a particularly large warty Zeboar with jagged tusks. He had his chance to turn around. None of the Zeboars seemed interested in him, their leader eying him lazily while it chewed it's grass. He could of turned around at any moment and left.

"I am the greatest!"

The leader's eyes narrowed as Magnus brought up his mace and in one swift stroke he struck the Zeboar on the back of it's skull, a weak point for boar mobs. It staggered to the ground momentarily, trying to regain it's composure. His arm back up high he hammered down yet again upon the sensitive part of the Zeboars head. It was seeing stars now, it's world now blurry and painful. His arm raised up once more and slammed into the large Zeboar's fractured skull for the last time, breaking it's head in like a chocolate egg during Easter.

The experience was euphoric. It was true what they said, that these mobs offered more exp than regular mobs. Magnus's moment of glory was cut short however as he noticed the sea of eyes watching him this very moment. "REEE!" The collective squeal of the surprisingly large herd of Zeboars filled the air, nearly deafening him. This wasn't something that usually happened. Most of the mobs in the area around the starting zones didn't tend to respond to attackers in their collective groups. At worst, one or two more boars would of been aggroed had these been normal boars. Instead, as he quickly realized, the entire herd of these Zeboars had aggroed to him.

In a frantic struggle he started running, smacking aside boars with his mace and trying his hardest to try and deflect the many boar tusks which where coming at him from practically every side. He knew he wasn't fast enough to outrun the boars since his skills were more appropriated towards standing and fighting not running like crazy. Still, he gave it his best effort as the stampeding herd of wrathful Zeboars closed in on him. Not long after the chase began he felt the tusks of a charging Zeboar come up under him. The tusks stabbed up, coming into contact with his leg armor. Even though it didn't penetrate the armor the force with which it hit him still hurt, taking some points off his health nonetheless.

That's when things got weird. The force of the Zeboar rearing it's ugly head under him had actually lifted him off the ground. Watching his feet stop touching the floor he figured he was a goner. The minute enough of those hogs surrounded him even with all his armor he could wave life goodbye as they'd maul him to death. Flailing his arms as he fell he reached out for something, anything to grab onto. Before he knew what was even going on he grabbed onto something that wasn't the ground. This was something he'd of never counted on happening in any way. Some way, somehow he managed to land on the back of the Zeboar which had brought it's tusks and subsequently it's head right up underneath him. The force of the Zeboar's attack had propped him up onto itself.

In a wild panic the Zeboar continued to run, bucking and jumping as it tried to shake Magnus from it's back. He wasn't letting go, he had a death grip on the Zeboar's monochromatic mane of long, coarse hair. As the Zeboar continued to charge in the direction he had initially been fleeing towards the rest of the herd followed, stampeding in the same direction. Their destination: Tolbana.

"How did it even come to this!?" He managed to cry out in between screams as he rode the frenzied Zeboar, not entirely in control of his own fate by this point. Anyone within an earshot's distance from the town and everyone within it could hear the sounds of hooves pounding and Magnus yelling.

Kirito was surprised that shiro knew his name " Have we meet before huh ? " He said trying to recall his face but was unable to. He decided to find out about how this guy knew him so decided to bring him along. " Listen I'm after this quest that has extra xp wielding abilities " He said as he asked with an invitation to join a party. After he accepted they began walking towards the location of the quest then they heard it blood curling screams. Kirito rushed to see a lone player being trampled by the zeboars idiot you shouldn't have gone alone he thought. He was hesitant to draw his sword because he knew even with his level he wouldnt be able to protect two players if it came down to it. He finally decided and rush towards the man using the vertical arc he took care of the mobs closer to the player and lift him up by his arm. He wanted to dig through his inventory and heal him but it would consume so much time and they didn't have time. He knew hat he had to do he drew all the attention to himself , he was afraid of dying but to him dying with someone else was better than living alone. He took the mobs away from him as they started to swarm him he carefully dodge and attack. He gave Shiro the time to heal the player as he deal with the zeboars luckily there was something good about the zeboars they made him level up twice allowing him to keep his health high. He learned a new skilled called the vertical square and horizontal squares he used them swiftly trying to fight them off but even with his levels they would soon overwhelm him. " Get him the hell out of here shiro " Yelled kirito as he took down another zeboar their number diminishing but not fast enough

Kirito was relieved that the other players were safe and now focused on killing the remaining zeboars in order to get the xp to take on other quest. He continued to dispatch them a lot easier now that he had support from shiro and magnus. He finished the remaining ones and smile wiping his forehead even thought there was not sweat he was exhausted. He walked over to Shiro and MAgnus and smile " Thank you guys this quest would have been a lot more difficult if I did it alone anyway I hope you guys got enough experience to take on other challenges without this happening." He said thinking of how close to death they were. He wave them good bye and began to walk back to town in order to take another quest so he could level up faster out of the 10 zeboars he must have killed at least 4 of them at 175X2 experience he had gain 1400 XP enough xp to level up to level 7 he was now in route to becoming stronger and being able to survive the game of death. He excused himself and walked back to the place he was renting in order rest a bit. He was walking when he realized he had used his sword so much it probably now needed to find someone who would repair the equipment. He walked to town looking for a smith that would be able to help him without cleaning out his col supply. He however was distracted when he saw Argo the info dealer making her money by selling information he decided to check out what information she could have that could help him. He smiled as he saw her cat markings and then decided to inquire about the info she didn't have much he didn't already no so he decided to leave her to her business.

( again this week I want to get to know every single character in my rp so please don't be shy and join me in a quest just a quick introduction will suffice.)

Kirito look up at shiro again " Do you need any more help friend ?" He asked a little worry that he might have run into troubled. He sat in a bench and waited for him to talk as he looked through his menu and accepted the quest to kill the dragon winter is coming" Hey how do you feel about fighting a fire breathing lizard " He said as he smiled but realized even if they were in good levels fighting a dragon would require more than two players he decided to use the system quest to post one on his own. Anyone seeking to gain good xp and favorable reward please meet me in the outskirts of tobalna I will share the details of this quest once you arrive. He send the quest to the nearby players, and then turn to Shiro " Let's go we need to meet people in the outskirt of this town." He said as he started walking and then realized this guy had been calling him by his name the whole time. " Hey have we meet before, or how do you know my name I don't believe I ever told you it" He said a little worry this guy had been buying players names from argo because only two type of players did that the PKers and the traps for the PKers. He tap hi sword and sight hoping this guy wasn't one of them even thought he would do anything to survive killing someone would not weight lightly in his conscious. He arrived to the place he was supposed meeting them and waited for the players to arrive there this quest would be the most difficult one yet. He equipped his Anneal blade and packet all his healing potions and crystal as well as the corridor crystal in case things when wrong.

Tolbana outskirts, Time: 2100, November 7, 2022.

While he sat atop the wild Zeboar he held on for dear life. He wasn't exactly sure about how he was going to handle this situation he put himself in. Almost as if to answer his question a swordsman came and slew the Zeboar he was just riding, sending him dropping to the floor quite unceremoniously. Before he knew it two other players were tackling the mobs
he was fighting. "Hey! What on earth do you two think your doing?" He asked, somewhat angry but mostly just confused.

The kid instructed the older guy to get him out of here. Needless to say, he was quite shocked at all this. Not the fact they were helping him though that was a bit puzzling too but rather the fact that they just swooped in and were planning on cutting him out from getting the kills. The older guy was blabbering about healing or some other nonsense.
"Just what do you think you are trying to pull!?" He responded to the other guy's offer to heal him by turning his back on him and charging straight back into the fray.

Because the other two had joined the fight the damage was distributed between them. Thanks to his battle healing he was able to sustain himself through the Zeboar's assault, laying waste to about three more before the herd was no more. He knelt down to rest, his body battered and exhausted from the running and fighting.

"Thank you guys this quest would have been a lot more difficult if I did it alone anyway I hope you guys got enough experience to take on other challenges without this happening." The kid said to them. He was quite upset with them now. "Without this happening!? I totally had that all under control until you both showed up! Stealing my kills like that is the worst thing you could of possibly done right there. That's such a noob thing to do I just- Hey! Where you all going!?
Hey! I wasn't finished talking!" He was yelling at them. Towards the end of his rant there the two had already been walking away, almost as if they weren't even listening to him to begin with. Yeah, he didn't really have that situation with the mobs under control but he was never going to admit it, even if they were to try and beat it out of him.

"Well I'll just move on then... Bloody people." He cursed them under his breath, pushing his tired frame up. He dragged himself from the scene and continued onwards down the road. The only upside to his evening so far had been that he had gotten enough exp to put him at level seven. "At least I leveled finally. Still, I need to do more quests to stay ahead of the curve." He was mostly talking to himself, laying out his plan in his mind as he traveled. His whole body groaned with pain, reminding him that even though exp is important it still craved rest like any other normal human being.

He walked for a while down one road then another. He sort of lost track of time in his doldrums. Down the road he saw a city he recognized not too far away. Horunka city, not a bad place to level. It had plenty of woods with a rather scarce population of people there usually. He strode into town and looked around, evaluating the population of players present. So far it seemed pretty thin, making this place ideal for leveling. The less people to steal his kills, the better.

There was the occasional player around. The closest one was a very short girl concealed by a black cloak, little showing but her face, most notable features of which were her brown hair and rather bright green eyes which stood out in the dim light. She seemed to look lost though he really couldn't tell. Normally he couldn't care less about what weaker people did but he didn't see the harm in giving a couple directions. It would only take a couple seconds of his time or so he believed.

"You lost?" He asked the young girl. He only approached until he was within decent talking range. Even as socially awkward as he usually was he knew it was poor form to loom over someone so short. Even at the distance he stood he seemed to dwarf her by a couple feet or so but at least he wasn't towering over her.

The Anneal Blade was notably longer and heavier than the Starting Sword, and Hisui found it was hard for her to even carry it--the red scabbard nearly touched the ground while it was on her belt, and she found it a bit hard to balance while it was there. I hope it doesn't end up being a problem next time I have to fight...

Of course, right now she probably should be trying to find the inn. Horunka wasn't a big village, but in her exhaustion, Hisui had no idea where the inn could be. She couldn't even remember which buildings she had gone into...

"You lost?" She heard a voice coming from her right, and turned to see a tall, fat man standing a few meters away. He carried chain mail and a mace on his belt. And his eyes were fixed on her, so that question was definitely directed towards Hisui.

"M-me? Um...y-yeah, I-I guess," she stuttered, instinctively backing away. Hisui's social skills were utterly horrible, but she had even less experience with boys in real life. Which made things even worse with the "There are no girls on the Internet" stereotype, because there were probably more male players. "I-I, um, well..."

Can you PLEASE get a word out, idiot?! she screamed at herself internally, but all she did in real life was wrap her cape a bit more tightly around her body. "Y-you see, um...I-I'm, ah, l-looking for the inn. D-do you know where, um, it is...?"

The girl seemed to trip over her words a lot but eventually she did answer his question, more or less. Magnus shifted his armor onto his good shoulder while she struggled to ask where the inn was. "Yeah. It's just over there." He pointed in the general direction of the inn. His directions were not very helpful as the inn wasn't immediately in view, being around a few buildings and such.

He covered his mouth as he yawned. Just how late did it suddenly get? I wasn't walking for that long was I? Huh. He was silently weighing his options. On one hand he didn't plan on being left behind in levels but on the other hand he hurt all over and he was starting to feel quite tired. Apathy wins today I guess. He finally resolved his internal struggle.

With his mind made up he turned towards the direction of the inn and started on his way towards it. He looked over his shoulder to see if the young girl was following him, seeing as how she was looking for the inn and all. An interesting detail caught his eye as he glanced back over to her. The blade she was wielding was the Anneal Blade, a sword that was the quest reward for the Secret Medicine of the Forest quest. "I take it the Secret Medicine of the Forest quest is already done?"
He asked a more or less rhetorical question, gesturing to her new sword with his mace hand.

(OOC: To those of you whom it might concern, I think you can still do the "Secret Medicine of the Forest" quest if you feel like it. I started and finished it before Kirito even listed it, so don't feel like you're locked out of that quest. Besides, I remember reading from a side story that "Secret Medicine of the Forest" can be done by all players, and as many times as one wants.

GM: The quest can do four times by four different player this is so we have a fair leveling system. )

The man pointed her in a certain direction, and started walking that way himself. Figuring he probably was equally tired--humans aren't exactly nocturnal, after all--Hisui followed him. As she was walking, the man glanced at her once and asked, "I take it the 'Secret Medicine of the Forest' quest is already done?"

"Hm? A-ah, yeah...I-I completed i-it just a f-few minutes ago," Hisui replied. "W-why do you ask?" She wasn't quite sure how he realized, until she realized he had been looking at the sword hanging from her hip. So he had recognized the quest reward? That caused her to question something else. "W-wait a moment. H-how did you know about that quest? H-have you done it as well?" But the man didn't have any Anneal Blade on him, and Hisui had never heard of Beta Testers yet.

They finally reached the inn just as she finished her last question. Hisui paused walking for just a moment, waiting for the man to walk in before her. At the moment, she didn't really know what to think of him...he hadn't said much to her yet, at any rate.

"W-wait a moment. H-how did you know about that quest? H-have you done it as well?"

Figures. He didn't expect much out of someone who wasn't a beta tester. "Saw that same blade on a guy I partied with during the first floor dungeon. Fairly interesting guy but he got all hacked up when he aggroed a pat during a pull." He explained to her using MMO jargon. He didn't really take into consideration the possibility that she might not understand some of the abbreviations. He also didn't consider the fact that he just told her about how some guy got violently killed during a dungeon run without establishing a proper timeline for when this incident took place which was back during the beta.

He remembered the good old days of beta. Back when there was no urgency and he could grind and level at a steady pace,
no worries about permadeath or any of that nonsense. The recent addition of the risk of dying was annoying but it still didn't annoy him as much as when he removed everyone's avatar. Back then he was Magnus the Great. Now he was just Magnus.
The kill stealers from earlier were the metaphorical salt in the already grievous wound to his self esteem.

When they were at the door to the inn they both seemed to be standing there, neither one entering the establishment. It was beginning to feel a bit awkward as neither one of them moved for the door. After the tension got too thick he was obliged to speak. "Well, this is the inn. You going in?" He stepped further aside, gesturing to the door in an attempt to spur some sort of response in this lull in activity.

"H-hold on, w-we've already found the, ah, d-dungeon by now? And...um, I-I'm sorry, b-but what?" Hisui knew almost no MMO terms whatsoever, so she just couldn't understand what happened (other than the fact that that other Anneal Blade wielder had gotten hurt badly. Hopefully he had gotten out alright...).

Apparently, both she and the man had been intending to wait for the other to walk in first. After a few awkward moments, the man stepped back further and asked if she was going in. "A-ah, yeah..." Embarrassed a little, Hisui went in through the door, holding it open for the man as she did so.

At the reception area, she checked out one room, and stood back for the man to do the same. Right now, Hisui wanted to ask the man a bit more about SAO, seeing as he was rather knowledgeable about it, but she knew they both would need sleep. It was past midnight. "Well, ah...g-good night, sir," she said with an uneasy smile. "Um...l-let's do our best tomorrow...o-okay?"

Turning on her heel, she started walking up the stairs to her room. But she probably wouldn't see that man the next day, since Hisui knew by the time she woke up tomorrow, it would probably be almost noon.

"H-hold on, w-we've already found the, ah, d-dungeon by now? And...um, I-I'm sorry, b-but what?"

The girl clearly had no idea what he was talking about. He placed his palm to the front of his helm in a mock face-palm followed by a sigh of despair. Yeesh, she didn't even read up on her gaming lingo. Is this her first time playing an actual video game? Her chances of surviving this game were looking lower and lower to him. "No, we haven't found the dungeon yet. They moved it since they closed beta and started the pre-orders for the NerveGear headsets." He set her information straight.

As she went in he was not far behind, coming inside right after she did. "Thanks." He thanked her for holding open the door for him. She was a nice young girl, he felt a tad sorry for her knowing that between her lack of gaming knowledge and absence of any apparent armor she was due for an early grave.

She had payed for her room first, the key to her room placed in her inventory. He stepped up to the desk as she proceeded towards the stairs. "Well, ah...g-good night, sir," He nodded to her in response. "You have a good night too." He bid her the same well wishes. "Um...l-let's do our best tomorrow...o-okay?" "Right. Plenty of kills to us both."

He turned around to address the inn keeper behind the desk. "I'd like to check out a room please." He asked the friendly looking npc. "Alright sir. That will be twenty Col." She asked him in a polite manner. "Here, just let me..." He said as he opened his inventory. In it the Col counter blinked with a nice big round zero. He just remembered that he had spent all his money on his gear. While that had helped him grind harder than everyone else, putting him ahead of the curve, it had also left him without a single Col left to spend. He was counting on some of the mobs he was hunting to have something he could sell but he had no such luck. "Oh dear." He said, starting to pace back and forth in front of the slightly puzzled npc.

His brain burned as he fought with himself. He tried to think of something, anything he could sell to cover for the cost. He was not willing to part with any of his gear as that would set him well behind in cash spent versus cash earned and force him to fight at a handicap to try and buy back what he would need to sell. On the other hand besides that there was little to no other conceivable way for him to make the requisite amount of cash and still be able to sleep in any reasonable span of time. He briefly considered sleeping outside but with the new rules on dying in place that put him at a huge risk. After all he was a very deep sleeper, capable of sleeping through almost anything. There was only one choice left and it really boiled his ego to even consider it.

Slowly he approached the young girl who he was just speaking with just a minute ago. "Ah, uh... I was wondering, no, Perhaps if... Since you er... I just thought... Maybe-" He struggled to force himself to say it, his pride fighting him every inch as he tried to speak making most of what he was saying awkward and without point. He knew there was no way he could phrase this and still retain his gravitas but it still almost physically hurt him to say it.

"I can't afford a room. Can you..." The word had grabbed onto his tongue and was refusing to let go. With an audible gulp he swallowed his pride and spoke. "Help me out? I swear I'll pay you back." He finally did it. He asked someone else for help.
This game had officially broken Magnus the Great, reducing him to groveling to newbies for pocket change. Of course, he was blaming the game for all this when in actuality it was his own poor fiscal choices which put him in this position.

I swear... When I find the lowly scum who removed my in-game appearance I will stop at nothing to destroy him and everything he knows and cares about. He will rue the day he messed with Magnus the Great like this!

Just as Hisui was unlocking her room, she suddenly saw the man from before approaching her. Despite the rather composed way he had been talking to her before, the man now stammered in a manner as pathetic as that of Hisui herself. "Um...I-I'm sorry, what?" She asked, lowering her left hand with the key in it.

Finally, the man manged to speak up. "I can't afford a room. Can you..." He gulped, seemed to struggle with himself and finally blurted out, "Help me out? I swear I'll pay you back."

Honestly, his change in behavior was so drastic that Hisui had to work hard to suppress a giggle. "I-it's alright, sir," she replied, calling out the menu and pressing a few buttons. A moment later, a trade window popped up in front of her, reading "Hisui > Unknown Player" above the list of objects they were trading. While Hisui was surprised that it would say "Unknown Player" rather than the man's username, she still prepared to send a good amount of Col to the man.

"W-well...I obtained quite a bit of gold-um, no, I mean...col while I was doing the, ah, quest in the forest," she told the man with a shy smile. "S-so I think, um, I-I'll be fine for now. N-no need to worry about, ah, p-paying me back any time soon, sir." She knew that getting the room only costed 20 Col, but it was likely he would need more for tomorrow. 250 Col should do the job...

Hisui pressed the "Confirm Trade Request" button, and the Col was transferred. "Well, g-good night, sir," she said to him again, before entering her room and closing the door behind her. As soon as she unequipped her gear and cape, she lay down inside the bed and began to sleep...or, she would have, if it didn't take so darned long for her to fall asleep in real life as well.

She traded him the two hundred and fifty Col. It was a bit more than he had asked for but he wasn't going to complain.
"Thank you. I'll be sure to pay you back." He knew she said he didn't have to pay it back right away but having to owe a debt to anyone would drive him crazy before long. He typically worked on a 'Do for others what you would want done for yourself' and he knew he'd be rightfully annoyed if someone owed him something and didn't honor their deal. He was enemies with quite a few people back in the real world long after they've forgotten the original deal. He had never forgotten and he had never forgiven them, carrying his grudges long after it would be considered sane to do so.

"Goodnight." He bade her a good night once again. He returned down the stairs and paid the friendly inn clerk the fee for a room. With a key now in his inventory he proceeded back up the stairs and into the hallway where he was just talking with the girl who's name he didn't even know yet. Turns out the number on the key corresponds with the number on the door just across from the black cloaked girl's room. What a coincidence.

He unlocked his room, stepping into it and locking it behind him. He definitely did not need anyone sneaking into his room at night. With that done he unequipped his armor and weapons before sitting at the edge of the bed, reflecting on his day. Looking down at his body he saw a mark on his leg where a Zeboar had gored him. It was the systems way of leaving a signature for every time a person takes a significant blow. It helped players remember where they screwed up so they could remember to avoid such attacks in the future as well as serving as a fashion statement. After all, scars are cool.

It was probably a reason for why he geared himself for a tank build. He always found something heroic about being the one to stand at the very front of the group, taking the brunt of the damage and standing in defiance to the great beasts before him. It was almost everything he wasn't. It was brave, it was glorious, it was epic, it was selfless, it was essential,
it was everything he wanted to be. Why else would someone play a video game if not to escape reality after all?

His mind was going way too deep into such philisophical nonsense. Before he distracted himself with flights of fancy any longer he retired to his bed for what was to be a long night's sleep. Very quickly he drifted off to slumber land, an escape from this escape from reality. As he slept his snoring was like the sawing of wood. It could be heard all the way from the lounge downstairs, it was that bad. He was in no way shape or form a delicate sleeper as the reasons became clear to everyone near who could hear him snore.

Long were the days of grinding and questing. So many days and yet they seemed to just flit by as he leveled. Level fifteen, that was what his indicator now showed. He had done little else but effectively farmed the most exp efficient mobs he knew, only pausing to sleep at night. Throughout all this one might think he'd of gathered a lot of Col from all the killing he did but somehow he was even more broke than before. On December first, he awoke in a bed up in his room in the inn. That room cost him the last twenty Col he had on him.

Bloody heck. I need to turn up some dough fast or I'm gonna be sleeping on the forest floor tonight and I do NOT want to be shanked in my sleep thank you very much metaphorical person who I'd be talking to if I were even talking to anyone. He had his convoluted little mental conversations with himself as he traveled. He had heard of a quest being offered from a village which offered a good chunk of exp. Yeah, the Slenderman quest. They don't call him Slenderman but who are we kidding it's bloody Slenderman. It's almost as if the creator of this game couldn't be asked to write actual quests for this game so he decided to go on 4Chan and asked them what memes were. The idiocy is so prevalent it's infuriating really.

Magnus arrived at the aforementioned village, his mood still rotten after having spent his last money on a bed to stay in. It was a small little off-shoot of a settlement, nothing in it but NPC's. No shops or blacksmiths or anything but farms really. Magnus strode into town, the hushed whispers of npc's as they marvel at the arrival of a well armed warrior in their time of dire need. Yeah, as if they haven't seen three other guys like me do the exact same thing. Bloody npc's.

"Greetings traveler! Welcome to our humble village. We would be celebrating for today is the day we reap our harvests but sadly a deep sorrow weighs heavy upon our hearts. You see, long ago-" An elderly man, presumably the town elder, had approached him with a large golden question mark over his head and was already announcing their plight to him all too eagerly. "-Yeah, yeah, I get it, great sadness and mean monster stuff. Get to the point already." He interrupted the elderly person right in the middle of his spiel. "Uh... Yes, a monster plagues us. Will you help save our poor children from this-"
"-Yeah, sure just shut up and point in the general direction of the thing so I can kill it already."

The feelings of the surrounding NPC's were mixed at this point. The elder himself had a rather puzzled expression, taken a bit back from this strange character's unusual behavior. Without much delay the elder pointed in the direction he needed to go. Not saying another word Magnus had accepted the quest and was now on his way into the forest to do battle with the obviously ripped off Slenderman. He breathed a heavy sigh, still evidently vexed with his crippling inability to properly manage money leaving him in such a pinch.

(Adjusted Magnus's level for the time-skip.)

Tolbana December 2, 2022.

A month has passed since Kayaba Akihiko told the players about the death game and the consequences. Over 2,000 players had already died and the 1st Floor was yet to be cleared, i used to be a beta tester but even i don't know where the boss lair is located. Today we are finally holding a meeting to discuss how to find and defeat the floor one boss.

On December 2, 2022, a self-proclaimed knight Something everyone laughed at, Diavel, called for a meeting at the town center of Tolbana. He announced that the Boss room in the labyrinth had been located.

Image

When all the attending players are asked to form groups, Kirito panicked as he saw parties beginning to form. As the groups formed, Kirito noticed a hooded girl alone and asked her to form a party with him.( Waiting for Asuna answer )

The meeting was interrupted by Kibaou, one of the players in the meeting. Believing that there were Beta Testers in the meeting, he stated how they had "left the beginners" to die, and refused to help the starters. He then stated if there were any beta testers in the meeting, they should give up all of their items and money, otherwise they would not be trusted by the others, Kirito feeling guilty was about to raise his hand a declare himself a beta tester. However, Agil intervened and defended the Beta Testers, stating that they should not be fully blamed for the tragedies of the fallen players as they had already helped by distributing their knowledge of the game through a manual and that everyone had equal access to the information, and Diavel and the rest of the attending players were revealed to have a copy of the book. After the commotion ended, Diavel read the information book to the players in the crowd, telling them that the boss on the floor was Illfang the Kobold Lord, and that he had minions, called Ruin Kobold Sentinels. He also told them on his last bar of HP, the boss would discard his weapons and equip a Talwar and use a different combat style. Thinking that the book was completely correct, the attending members decided not to scout the boss to check if there was any mistake on the book and planned to battle Illfang the next day. The Meeting was dismissed and the players went their different ways preparing themselves for the fight.

December 4th, 2022 – 10:07 A.M.
Floor 1 – Tolbana

A collective applause had filled the auditorium following Diavel's rousing pep-speech. From the stands, Ark joined in on the clapping and smiled—truly, Diavel did seem like a fair leader for the upcoming trial. Of course, Takao's enthusiastic response, involving a combination of waving, cheering, whistling and applause, all at once, was also quite amusing. However, the golden-eyed beta-tester was also keenly aware of the differences between the atmosphere here, in the present, and back then in the past. In the beta-test, there had been no such meeting—it hadn't been as serious. But, now, despite everyone's jovial attitude, there was the distinct awareness that Death, was lurking only just around the corner.

And so, Ark wasn't surprised when Diavel announced the necessity of a highly organized multi-party raiding group. It was efficient and, although it meant that spoils would be divided, it significantly reduced the casualty rate. He nodded in approval to the plan. In any case, he already knew who his raid partner would be, he thought, subconsciously smiling at the purple-haired girl beside him.

Of course, he was worried. During the beta-test, he had been viciously defeated by Bosses. No doubt, this time would prove just as difficult. Except, this time, a screw-up would be a ticket to the next life. He had tried to convince Takao not to go. But, being the hard-headed girl she was, she would have none of it.

He was brought back to the present when Takao squeezed his hand, having noticed his stare, and smiled brightly at him. He let out a breath of happiness. To tell the truth, he appreciated her presence. He turned to the other players around him, “Hey, if any of you would like to party, we'll be defending against the—”

A sharp kick in the shin shut him up. It was deserved, he supposed, it hadn't been part of his deal with her. Takao stood high, looking out to the players and announcing her proposal, “Everyone, it'd be easier for us to face the Boss if we can divide its attention; that means Flanking. So, if anyone would like to assist with the Flanking, join our party!”

“I'm sure someone here was in the beta! If they were, they should get on their knees and apologize and give up all of the items and money they've hoarded! Otherwise, we can't trust them to protect us as party members and they shouldn't trust us.”

At those words, the air changed around the auditorium and, suddenly, to Ark, it felt like a hundred spears of ice were piercing through his body. He cringed at the jerk's words and felt his fists clench in anger. Sure, the jerk was right, to some extent. Since the beginning of the Death Game until now, Ark had made no serious attempts to offer help to the other players—he had only helped those who had asked. But, he thought, angrily, that doesn't make it our fault. We didn't choose to live this game—we're all in the same boat. We have to live too.

A sound to his side caught his attention. Takao's hand was on her sword's hilt and her expression was far from what it had been, only a few moments ago. The creases of rage along her brows were heavy. She's angry, Ark realized, for my sake.

He took a moment to reflect. No. He couldn't let this bother him. There was no point. Anything that happened could only make things worse for the beta-testers. With a moment's hesitation, he calmly set his hand on Takao's arm and, when she turned to look at him, he looked her in the eyes. An understanding came, between them. Not now.

Fortunately, another man stepped up—tall and dark—to challenge the jerk. Agil, he called himself—Ark added the name to his memory. The man defended the beta-testers and forced the jerk to sit down. And the meeting continued.

Horunka Forest, Time: 8:40 PM, December 1, 2022

The trees seemed to have grown larger in this portion of the woods, the canopy blocking all but the stray beam of fading evening light here and there. Strange noises surrounded him as he plunged deeper into this mysterious thicket, the groaning of the trees in the sweeping wind like the sound of people moaning. Bugs chirped and clicked before scurrying from the large metallic figure approaching. "Last time I was here he was somewhere in this area." He spoke aloud to no one but himself. Looking through the slot of vision allowed by his helmet he searched around the trees for the tell-tale figure of the Slenderman.

A decent amount of time passed and it almost seemed that this mob wasn't going to show it's lack of face. He leaned his head left then right, stretching out his neck. The bones in his digitized neck made an audible cracking pop like noise as he stretched. He recalled to the best of his ability the specifics of the fight he was due for. The one thing he'd need to watch out for was the fact that looking at Slenderman caused damage which would stack higher the longer he looked. That was it's most dangerous effect, the rest of it's attacks being just a nuisance in comparison.

Just when he was thinking of just cutting his losses and leaving to do a different quest he saw it. Not the Slenderman but something indicative of his presence. Tagged to the trunk of a tree was a white note with writing on it. He approached the note, not bothering to unpin it but rather he just tore it from the tree and studied it. 'Don't look behind you' Was written in rather frantic penmanship on the note making the words look all wobbly and hard to read. "Ooo spooky! I'll bet he'll just happen to be right behind me as I turn around, making me look silly for not heeding the notes warning right?... Yeah, this game would be that predictable right?" He placed his bets on the idea that Slenderman would be predictable enough to adhere to typical horror movie logic.

Magnus's grip tightened around his mace and spun around, ready to do battle with whatever horrible figure might have snuck up on him. His expectations were met with a simple absence of Slendermen, only the shadowy thicket onward to be seen. "Hm. Guess they probably thought at least that far ahead." He thought aloud. He was of course wrong however as he turned back around only to be greeted with the faceless menace himself. Magnus responded in mild shock, throwing up his guard just in time to deflect his many arm attacks.

From this point forward he was thinking with tactical precision, using his shield to cover the view of his enemy. Looking at Slenderman was what causes the 'Horror effect' as it's called, a stacking DOT (Damage Over Time) effect which increases in stacks the longer he looks at him. The audable sound of an electrical static buzzing grew louder with each stack he had acquired. By hiding behind his shield he was unable to see the Slenderman but at least the DOT's weren't renewing with a new stack each second.

Thwack! Wham! Smack!

because of his obscured vision he couldn't actively block his attacks. The arms managed to land a few blows, damaging his health bar lightly but to greater effect over his enemies many fast strikes. Thankfully because of those attacks it gave away Slenderman's position allowing for a blind retaliation. With his arm wound back he swung his mace forward in a Power Attack. The mace met with only air, the skill missing it's target as it receded away from the blow. He cursed under his breath. I need to see this thing if I'm going to land a shot. I might just have a trick up my sleeve to deal with that pesky presence attack.

Lowering his shield the buzzing static returned in greater volume, his health steadily ticking away.
"Eat mace, mouth-less scum!" He roared, hoping howl would pop up so he could acquire it. No such luck for unlocking said ability but what he did proved more fruitful. In a more straightforward strike he clubbed Slenderman straight in his pale white head with a Staggering Blow. The Slenderman staggered back a bit, the status effect clearly in effect. Magnus had made a gamble by assuming that the stacking DOT effect was a special ability of it's. When he struck it with Staggering Blow it interrupted that ability, stunning the monster for long enough for him to wind up another Power Attack.

Crack!

The sound of bones breaking underneath his mace rang out as he connected with his Power Attack, effectively biting a large chunk out of the Slenderman's HP. It had recovered from the Staggered effect but it had yet to reactivate it's DOT effect, an error soon to be rectified should it survive that long. A couple more attacks managed to connect with him, taking away more HP.

Crunch!

Another Power Attack met it's target, the visceral sound of his hammer pounding down on Slenderman's soft business suit clad body could be heard from afar. It was pretty much at death's door now with little to no options of escape. It could teleport however it's ability to do so is cancelled out when a PC or certain types of NPC's look at it. It's DOT typically dealt with people who'd stare at it but it had only just reactivated it's 'Horror Effect', the harsh buzz making a return after a new series of DOT's were applied. All it could do was lash out, doing a little extra damage as he finished it off with a quick shield bash followed by one last Power Attack. The Slenderman's body crumbled into a dead heap before dematerializing, leaving behind it's tie as proof of it's defeat. "There, I got the quest item. Time to move."

Horunka Forest, Time: 11:20 PM, December 1, 2022

He spared no time, walking back to the village with haste. Night had fallen by the time he made it back to the little village. The simple townsfolk cheered as he presented the evidence of his kill. "We may not have much money to offer you traveler but these items of old should serve you well in your quest." The village elder placed inside his inventory five teleportation crystals. "I have a feeling these are probably going to come in handy sooner rather than later." He said, still talking mostly to himself as he made his way back towards the inn. Little did he know that the next few days were going to be quite the busy ones.

(My apologies for the length of this post. It was meant to be spread out over more than one large text dump but as the night of the boss fight approaches I needed to shirk this quest line. This should be one of the last posts of this length to be seen from me as I will try to resolve my quests before something with a deadline pops up again. In addition, I'll be adding the post-quest statistics later when I'm feeling a little saner.)

Floor one Boss labyrinth December 2, 2022

The labyrinth was a hard to clear, monster kobolds spawning everywhere with traps along the way. The raid party lose one or two along the way making it seem hopeless but diavel was cheering them on. Diavel was a good guy or so he seemed he talk to kirito knowing he was a beta tester he made sure he would not be attacking the boss so Diavel could obtain the bonus item from the last attack. He continued to lead them through the Labyrinth his party ahead killing and scouting obtaining most of the XP while the others just followed. The boss room came soon into view after the long travel they were all exhausted so Diavel gave them a minute to regain their strength.

( Sorry had to skip the whole night and bread thing since there was not reply )Kirito sat there next to Asuna a little surprise that she didn't know what switch was " So be on the level with me have you been in a party before this ? " He asked a little worry since he didn't want to be protecting a newbie during a boss battle not exactly the best idea. He waited for her answer equipping his scale chest plate and his anneal blade ready for the boss.

Diavel after letting everyone rest he stood up in front of everyone and began giving a speech. " We have come this far thanks to all of us uniting together and working as one, we will prevail on this boss battle because we are strong and brave, we must prevail because we owe it to those back in the town of beginnings, we need to show them that this game can be beaten!!!! " He said as he walked to the door placing his sword down " I only have one last thing to say to you Let's win !!! " He said as he open the door to the boss room the entire raid party slowly made their way inside the room was dark, but after a couple steps the lights turn on revealing a huge dog like creature with bluish fur and huge axe and shield. The boss stood up and roared as soon as the sound finish the minions began to appear Kobold sentinels. Diavel Stood in front of the party and signal them to begin the attack "GO!!".

Diavel led the raiding party and gave out commands on blocking and attacking the boss and his minions. During the battle, Kirito noticed Asuna's speed, remarking that he cannot keep up with her blade. As the Boss's fourth HP gauge reached the red zone, Diavel ordered everybody to stay back and stepped out of the group and approached the boss alone. However, Kirito quickly noticed that something was wrong when Illfang pulled out a Nodachi instead of a Talwar, which Illfang had used in the Closed Beta. Kirito told Diavel to stop and pull back, but he was too late, and the latter received a deadly combo from the boss' katana skills. As Diavel's health speedily dropped to 0, Kirito tried to give him a healing potion, but Diavel rejected it. In his last moment, Kirito learned that Diavel was after the Last Attack and was also a Beta Tester, and that he knew Kirito was in the beta too. He asked Kirito to defeat the boss for everyone before he shatters into many polygons.

With Asuna’s help, Kirito attempted to defeat the boss, with the same Ruin Kobold Sentinels' strategies. The boss proved to be fast and attacked Asuna first, but she dodged the hit, resulting in her cloak being destroyed, revealing her face. They continued with their tactics until Kirito made a mistake and got hit, slamming into Asuna. Agil saves them from receiving the final blow and told them to recover while the rest hold the boss off. After they recovered, Kirito and Asuna give one last hit and Kirito received the last attack on the boss, defeating the boss with Kirito obtaining the Last Attack bonus item, the «Coat of Midnight».

Everyone celebrated their victory until Kibaou and his group reminded everyone that Diavel died, stating that Kirito let him die by withholding information that he knew the boss's attack pattern, and accused him of being a beta tester, not knowing that Diavel was a beta tester also. As everyone suspected each other of being beta testers, Kirito realized that they might turn in each other before remembered Diavel's last words and gulped. Agil and Asuna tried to speak, but Kirito laughed and told the clearing group that they were better than those "newbies" (beta testers) who did not know how to level up, and boasted that he was not like the other testers because he reached higher floors than them and knew the boss's attack pattern because he fought monsters using katana skills on higher floors, and stated that he knew more than any information broker. Kiabaou and many players in the clearing group then accused Kirito of being a cheater and one of them categorized him as a Beater (Beta Tester + Cheater), but Kirito expressed enjoyment in having the new title, and told the other players not to confuse him with other beta testers.

After equipping the «Coat of Midnight» to distinguish himself from the other beta testers, Kirito soon left the group behind and proceeded to open the gate to the next floor. Asuna briefly stopped him and asked how he knew her name, thus Kirito told her to look at her interface for the party screen. She then finally learned his name and felt dumb that she did not notice since it was there since the very beginning. Kirito then told Asuna that someone strong like her should find a guild she can trust as there were limits on what a solo player could do, after which he dissolved the party and headed to the 2nd Floor.

( Did you guys not receive the starter post for the boss fight ? anyway Due to the turnout of posts this had to be done boss fight over floor two unlocked )

Floor 1, Time: 12:35 AM, December 3, 2022

The dungeon raid went about as well as the last first floor raid went back in the beta. Started off well enough, some idiot comes up and starts trying to divide the party over something and then everything just started going downhill. Being on the attacking party he managed to get the most EXP out of the venture but then came the final boss. Not only did the boss suddenly switch up it's moveset with katana skills which was a real kick in the balls for everyone but Diavel got his rear end kicked all over the place before dying like a chump.

The worst thing to happen that night for him was not the fact that real human beings died here but that the kid who stole his kills earlier stole the final hit on the boss. Not only that but then he went on to say that the other beta testers were
worse than him. Magnus was furious. That kid had just earned his place right below the creator of this game in his
list of enemies.

With the new floor opened up he was free to proceed to the next floor.

Floor 2, Time: 9:00 PM, December 5, 2022

Swat!

"Still short a level. Bloody insects." He finished off another wind wasp with a Power Attack. Since he made it to this floor he had been grinding the wasps for easy EXP since he had leveled his strength to the point where he could pretty much kill them in about one or two shots. He was careful to not draw too many at a time since he knew that their sting attack would leave him stunned for several seconds if they all ganged up on him. Even as careful as he was he spent a lot of time being bitten by wasps in between stings. Even with as much HP as he had due to him focusing on leveling his strength and endurance the sheer number of times he was bitten and stung were adding up. His battle healing combined with the potions he bought because they were cheaper than crystals was all that was keeping him up, training his battle healing skill quite effectively as a result.

Eventually his efforts payed off. Level sixteen at long last plus a Wind Wasp needle despite the low drop rate. It was surprising considering his poor luck with monster drop rewards. With this level he focused almost entirely on his strength stat. He knew exactly what he wanted to do on this floor. The Martial Arts quest up on the mountain was in his cross-hairs.

Back during the beta he had done this quest but it took him quite a while since he was one of the first to find it and realize just what a nail bitingly difficult task the quest was. With many hours of painful repetition and training however he persevered, acquiring the Martial Arts skill to try out throughout the beta. What resulted was an extremely entertaining move for him, the Meteor Slam, a less well known skill attack due to the fact it was for the One-Handed Hammer skill.

Martial Artist's Hut, Time: 9:26 PM, December 5, 2022

It was a bit of a long trip to make it up the mountain path but it wasn't anything he hadn't done before. He had his mace and shield unequipped since he knew he had to do the quest bare handed. He just managed to get in view of the hut when he heard talking in the distance. There was a group of people talking by the hut including that one newbie he met back at
Horunka village. Ah heck. Of all the places for the one person I owe money to and she happens to be right here.
Still, it's interesting that she wound up here despite the fact she hardly knows what she's doing.

As he got closer he saw that all of them had the mark of the Martial Art's quest, a set of painted on whiskers. So they are all doing this quest as well. Guess the more people that play a game the more likely little out of the way spots like these are gonna get noticed. With that thought out of the way he approached the old martial arts trainer, activating the quest.

Magnus had heard the whole spiel before, break the boulder blah blah blah. What was surprising was the fact that the guy managed to paint on the mark through the openings in his helmet. Didn't surprise him that much but it was still a notably impressive feat. Lucky for Magnus his helmet concealed a majority of his face, hiding the paint on whiskers more or less.
He adjusted his helm to better conceal his features none the less.

"I see you're all doing this quest too. Well, you better get comfortable because none of us are gonna be moving far at least a day. At least, unless you mind looking like mice for the remainder of your time here." He informed the bunch of them before striding on over to the very large tough looking rock. He looked the rock up and down before suddenly giving it a powerful smack with his fist. The fist connected with a resounding thud sending a tingling sensation up his arm, an obviously dulled pain response since this was a game for kids and all. "Yeah... This is definitely gonna take more than a day."
