Introduction
On November 6, 2022, the players log in for the first time, and later discover that they are unable to log out. They are then informed that, if they wish to be free, they must reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss. However, if their avatars die in-game, their bodies will also die in the real world. On top of that, if you remove the Nerve Gear in the real world, it will jolt your brain, killing you instantly.
You are one of the millions of people who have bought the most anticipated game of 2022! Finally out of Beta, you are one of many who rushed to the stores and grabbed your copy! You arrive home, set it up, and put the Nerve Gear helmet on your head and lie or sit down, starting up the game. You arrive and mill about for a while, taking in all the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the people. After doing whatever you want for a while, you figure it should be time to head back to the real-world and get some food or rest or go out somewhere. However, upon summoning your main menu, it appears that there is no button to log out. Figuring it's a fluke, you just wait and see. You are teleported to the main square with thousands of other people and the GM appears before you. He tells you the news. He also informs you that 213 players have already died when their families ignored the warnings and removed the Nerve Gear. The GM also gifts you a mirror. Now, you can see what all the other players look like in the real-world.
So, now it is up to you. Can you do it? Can you escape this Virtual World and regain consciousness in the real-world? Or will you fail and be lost forever?

Kaede shifted through the items on the <a class="ktg6us78hf8vdu7" href="javascript:void(0)">cart</a>. She could hear how nervous the boy next to her was. Internally, it made her laugh. She would never show that outwardly, but she felt it, nonetheless. Kaede knew how intimidating she was to most people. Not so much in the real-world because of her "disability" but here she looked like quite the badass. Or at least, that's the general consensus. She could hear him clearing his throat and preparing to speak.
"Uh..." he gulped a bit. It was clear he was not used to talking to women. Kaede rolled her eyes. Well, he would have been cute...
"H-Hi..." he muttered. Kaede looked at him, raising an eyebrow. She frowned, though her blue eyes had a slight sparkle to them in the sun.
"You got a stutter?" she snapped slightly.

Junpei Fujimoto
"I love your enthusiasm to spot me," Medley giggled to herself, and then added "but shouldn't you be spotting your girlfriend?" Junpei was confused. Medley continued,
"Uhm, you know... Misa? She is your girlfriend, right?"
"No! No! Not at all. I've known Misai since middle <a class="ktg6us78hf8vdu7" href="javascript:void(0)">school</a>. We're really close friends, but she's not my girlfriend!"
"I'm sorry! I didn't know that you guys weren't-" Medley stopped herself, then continued, "Oh right, I forgot!" She quickly went into her menu, and requested Misai and Junpei to be her friend, and for Junpei to be on her party. "This friend system is really great! We can track each other, message each other and even see each others levels! But it only gets much better from there, I don't know much about it because I don't have any friends online at the moment- well, they're dead, but it's OK because who can blame their parents for not knowing about the Nerve Gear?"
Junpei could see that Medley was upset. He puts a hand on her shoulder consolingly.
"Everything will be fine. We will get through this." he nods.
"W-we should get going soon, afterall, we do need to go before the sun sets! Mobs get stronger at night, so it's best not to night-grind unless you are at a higher level. But first, have you eaten yet? We should all go to the Inn to eat first. Nobody has a high enough cooking skill, so I guess we can't cook our own food yet. But I have enough <a class="ktg6us78hf8vdu7" href="javascript:void(0)">money</a> to pay for all three of us. The food is very cheap here, but their rabbit is a mighty meal! Oh, and their lamb chops are too good to be true! You barely notice that it's virtual food! And to <a class="ktg6us78hf8vdu7" href="javascript:void(0)">think</a> the food gets better and better every floor." Medley trailed off, then continued, "It's a long journey anyway, what do you guys think?"
"Once we get to the next town, that sounds like a good <a class="ktg6us78hf8vdu7" href="javascript:void(0)">idea</a>." Junpei said with a smile.
"I like that idea too!" Misai agreed.
When the explosion was mentioned, Hisui gasped and immediately groaned while putting a hand to her face, remembering the incident with Amber and the Nepent with the fruit on its head. "...u-um...a-about that explosion..." Shuffling awkwardly and staring down at her feet, she sighed, and explained just what triggered the crazy rush of the Little Nepents. "S-so, you...won't want to, um, you know...strike that fruit. Um...s-sorry about what happened to you out there."
The man, who introduced herself as Merche, didn't really seem to have any intention of going anywhere soon, seeing as he was ordering more tea. Though Hisui felt rather strange sitting at a table with a man she had met only a few minutes ago, Merche seemed kind enough, and so she sat down...though she still moved to the far corner of the table, and did not take her hood off. "A-and, I-I did manage to complete the quest...b-by myself, about a-an hour ago. B-but, it...took me a long time, eheh...a-about 3 hours, in fact. S-so, don't b-be surprised if, you know, i-it takes a long time." She wasn't sure whether or not she should mention Amber, since as far as she knew, she hadn't accomplished anything then.
At that point, the waitress placed a teapot and two cups between the two players, and left without a word. Tentatively reaching for the teapot, Hisui hesitated a few times, looking at Merche to see if he wanted to use it first, before finally pulling her hand away, motioning for him to take the first cup. "Well, um...ask away, I-I guess," she mumbled. But Hisui wasn't used to this kind of thing at all, so she was incredibly nervous.

Floor 1: City of Beginnings, Horunka Forest.
Level: 18
He looked at his back, saw the Medley come with them and chuckled, instantly realizing who she was. He looked at everybody, counting their heads. "Alright. Twenty players... This an even pair... nice. So! Here is what we're gonna do." He said, expertly opening his map, sharing it to everybody. "We have to get to the second town before night fall, if not... well, i'm hoping twenty won't be reduced in half." He said, then he heard mumbling inside the ranks, some people getting scared for their lives. He sighed, waving his hands in the air to calm them down. "I'm twice the level these guys should be, so fighting won't be a problem." He said as the talking calmed down. He jumped down from the rock he was on.
"My name is Kotoba Misai. You can call me Misai if you want to, or Misa, I really don't mind." She smiles with her words. He looked at her. "Arthoren Setsuko, Grey Knight. Call me Tsuko for short." He said, his armor still blocking his appearance, typical. He kept walking, hearing the shuffle of feet behind him. He looked at her. "Sorry for having pissed you off earlier, I have an attitude and I know. Can I work on it? Not quite..." He said with a chuckle, keeping the pace. "Your friend a beta tester? Well, he doesn't seem like it. The girl that he's with though, I know her... Fun little girl. I think she was in my guild at one point..." He shrugged. "Strong fighter. By the way she looked at me, she recognized me." He said grinning behind his helmet.
Then, not far from the town... it all went to hell.
Orange players dropped all over the place... they all had a guild in common.... 'The Dark Crusade'. And it really didn't take long before chaos broke out. "AMBUSH!" He heard scream before a they all caved in. He grabbed Misai, without even thinking and ran off, throwing her behind a tree. "STAY HERE!" He ordered, running back into the chaos.
The pixels of players flew everywhere.... most of them being from the Noobs he was helping. He growled. "BASTARDS!" He yelled, jumping into the fight, his shield and sword glowing... and then he slashed. His power was obviously higher then theirs, as his sword just cleaved through their sword arms... their legs, a circle just clearing around him as people kept going at him. The Crusaders looked at him in despair, as he turned around, looking like a devil... the wings on his helmet looking like horns. Some people even cried "Hacker!" He looked around, his eyes seeming to glow red... but that was just the sun's rays getting reflected on his helmet. He battle cried, intimidating all but a few. "I am the Grey Knight!" He yelled. "Fear me!" He yelled, the groups just looked at each other.
The onslaught continued.

"W-we should get going soon, afterall, we do need to go before the sun sets! Mobs get stronger at night, so it's best not to night-grind unless you are at a higher level. But first, have you eaten yet? We should all go to the Inn to eat first. Nobody has a high enough cooking skill, so I guess we can't cook our own food yet. "And as for you, we need to go now. We wouldn't want to be the last ones at the town! You know what a switch is, right? Your confidence in the game is actually astonishing, so you have to know was a switch is. Besides, you're a beta tester, like me!" Knowing him, he would probably ask how I knew, and he did. Medley stopped in mid-sentence. "We were in the same boss battle, except you weren't in a party, so I didn't think you knew how to switch... But, we can easily fix that if you don't!" Medley grinned, and cheekily added. "We should get going now. Race you to the mob's spawn point!" Medley and Junpei quickly caught up to the noobs and was shocked at the pixels. "You got a stutter?" The girl suddenly snapped in response. Devan recoiled a bit, gulping.
"N-no! It's just that I..." Devan sighed. "I-I'm not used to talking to other people...." It was true. Devan Howard was basically a shut-in, not even opening the windows in his room. He felt as though life is caving in on him and that Devan would be crushed and meet a horrible end. "Not even online...."
Reaching for the teapot, he first poured Hisui a cup and placed it in front of her, and poured one for himself afterwards. Merche blew his tea a few times so that it could cool a bit off, and looked the girl in her eye. “I had quite the difficulty dealing with their acidic spit. What can i do against that? What are it’s weak points? Can it grab a player with it’s vines?” He briefly took a sip of his tea before continuing. “How hard was fighting one for you? What level were you when you fought one for the first time? How did you fare? I’m level four my self. How do you think i would fare against a Nepent in one on one combat? Is there anything else i should know that might aid me?”
He was aware that those were quite a few questions, but he thought they had to be asked nonetheless. He brought his cup to his lips, slightly canted it so that the tea could steadily stream into his mouth, and swallowed when he had a nice mouthful. Merche briefly closed his eyes, momentarily occupied by the warm, pleasant feeling that spread through his body, before looking back at Hisui with a faint smile, encouraging her to also drink her cup of tea. “It tastes and feels positively delightful."
He was aware that those were quite a few questions, but he thought they had to be asked nonetheless. He brought his cup to his lips, slightly canted it so that the tea could steadily stream into his mouth, and swallowed when he had a nice mouthful. Merche briefly closed his eyes, momentarily occupied by the warm, pleasant feeling that spread through his body, before looking back at Hisui with a faint smile, encouraging her to also drink her cup of tea. “It tastes and feels positively delightful."
It seemed it would be rather easy to get along with Merche--instead of taking the first cup of tea like Hisui allowed him to, he instead poured a cup for her before doing so for himself. Sipping the tea (and wincing as she gulped it down, for she had done so while it was too hot), she coughed a little and smiled rather bitterly. "Um...all I-I did was, er, d-dodge the acid, really. But, m-most clothing doesn't hold up very well against it, a-and...I, um, don't know anything about armor. A-and, no, i-it won't grab you with the vines...i-it just, y-you know, uses them like...like a whip. Y-yeah. D-did I miss something...?"
After frowning for a bit, she remembered what it was. "...ah, right, weak points. I-it's the stem. I-if you hit that place, i-it'll take a lot more damage." There were so many questions directed upon her at once that it felt rather unnerving, but since it was only this one man, it was still easier than the hectic scene with people demanding the quest reward. "I-I was Level 3 when I f-found my first Little Nepent, and it was, well, somewhat easy for me, I guess. But, w-well...th-that trap that s-summoned the other Nepents, i-it kind of...forced me to get used to how they fight. R-really fast."
Laughing a little bit uncomfortably, she stuck one hand into her hood and smoothed her hair down a little bit, even though Merche probably wouldn't be able to see that part of her head. "Um...t-that's all I can say, sadly. I-I don't really know at all what, um, you know..." Looking him up and down, she honestly had no idea whatsoever what Merche was capable of. And it wasn't like she could automatically see his stats whenever she wanted. "I-I mean, well, I-I've never seen you fight, so...y-yeah, um...y-you understand, right?"
Holding the teacup gingerly with both hands, she tested to see if it was too hot again, and then took a bigger sip. It tasted very sweet, yet not like anything in the real world...but no matter how much she enjoyed the taste, something felt hollow about it. "Um...y-yeah, this tea is...v-very unique, I suppose," she muttered weakly, having been reminded once again of the predicament she had gotten into by putting on the NerveGear.

I have created a new SAO this rp has been thought out so player wont get the same boring story instead they will make their own.

Overall, nothing too plot-important has happened yet. It's the second (in-universe) day.
Multiple people have gotten to the second town, while some others are still getting over the shock of their situation. But as most of the active characters are scattered, not much is happening.

Nah, just make your character and submit it. the OP'll review your character and you'd be good to go, not much time passed in-story so you won't have a problem fitting your character in.

So Martial Art really is an SAO skill, and that is the quest needed to unlock it, but I have no idea how the skill itself works. So the next part I will have to make up. Is that acceptable?
