The Story

After many years of being forced to keep the dragon at bay, the Dragon Keeper began to feel trapped, like a slave, such as all the past Dragon Keepers have felt. But this time the Dragon Keeper was desperate to return to her life before being picked to watch over the Dragon.

Seeing her opportunity, the youngest sister of the Anatolí Queendom's royal family lured her eldest sister, the next inline for the throne, to the castle roof. She then shoved her off the castle tower and watched as she fell to her death. With her eldest sister out of the way, all that remained between the youngest and the crown was her middle sister. The youngest sister told her family (including the eldest sister's daughter, who she later adopted as her own) that their eldest sister had been pushed off of the wall and that the culprit had come to her, their heart filled with guilt, and confessed. When everyone asked who the culprit was the youngest sister told them; the middle sister. She told them that the middle sister had done it for the crown, that she got rid of her older sister so she could become queen. The youngest sister then turned to the middle sister and told her that it was for the good of the kingdom and that she could not let someone who committed such treason to be allowed to rule.

Now with the permission of her family, the youngest threw the middle sister into the dungeon and kidnapped her imprisoned sister's twin infants and gave the female twin to the Dragon Keeper as a replacement. The other twin (the traveler) was sent far away from the Queendom to live with a family of peasants in order for him to not find the truth and then endanger the Sister's chance at ruling.

The Sister then killed her imprisoned sister secretively. With no heirs to the throne, the Sister gained the crown. She ruled her people with an iron fist, giving no mercy, and relaxing in the comfort as her servants labored and suffered.

Several years passed and the female twin became old enough to care for the Dragon herself. Satisfied with the replacement, the Dragon Keeper resigned, leaving the girl sealed behind in the Dragon’s cave. The Dragon Keeper still checks up on the lone twin with food and water and more importantly, to make sure she has not escaped; the Queen had made herself clear that if the young girl left her imprisonment, the punishment would be severe for the Dragon Keeper. Alone in darkness, the female twin began to have doubts that she belonged there at all, but she didn’t know the way out of the cave. Meanwhile the young traveler (Twin sent away to live with peasants) began having visions of a cheery girl with a beautiful voice, trapped in darkness with only a Dragon as company. All the male twin knew was that she needed help, his help, in order to escape the darkness. He felt great responsibility over her, and with that feeling heavy in his heart, he began his journey alone to find the lonely girl.

He heads east and travels to the Queendom in search for her, but little does he know that each step he takes toward the Queen increases the danger of his journey, for the Queen cannot allow the male twin to return his sister to her rightful place as Queen of Anatolí. All her planning would be lost if her subjects realized her great treason.

On the way the male twin is joined by others who are willing to help overthrow the evil Queen in order to ensure peace across the land.

Brief Summary and Future Plot Plans

So, as you know, The Queendom of the East, Anatolí is a very powerful region ruled by a very powerful and well, rather tyrannical leader. She is cruel and uses her subjects fear against them. The main fear of Anatolí is the dragon that is contained in a cave not to far off from where the capital city resides. Queen Reiann uses their fear to her advantage, giving them fake senses of security and what not and only a small few realize what she is doing. They are called the rebellion.

Anatolí is surrounded by three other kingdoms: The Kingdom of the North, South, and East. They are all ruled by kings who wish to wed the queen for she is the only other female ruler and as well as beauty she is also quite powerful.

Well the sub plot we come up with was a masquerade ball hosted by the queen. Of course the kingdoms accepted as it would give them the chance to get better acquainted with the queen. This of course means the royalty of all the regions shall be together in one room... Even the warring ones.

The ball will be some of the hottest gossip in Anatolí which the Rebellion will then hear of it. They will attempt to crash the ball and hopefully take the queen's life. This is where the main plot takes off.

Oliver Fendil

Anatoli Clocktower

Before Oliver and Talbot could really begin to discuss their plans regarding the ball, apparently the letter he'd managed to steal had been an invitation, Asani's head snapped to attention and he said that someone had entered the tower. Oliver swore, shoved the invitation into Talbot's hand and threw his belongings into a corner. "Asani, make the two of you invisible and keep absolutely silent. I'll take care of the rest." He turned his back to the pair, confident that Asani would be able to handle his job. The room was to orderly to be home to a squatting orphan, so he quickly kicked over the table and broke it in a few places, kicking up quite a bit of dust as he did. He went over to the window and ripped up and then ripped off the curtains, laying them out in a corner of the room next to his things, a makeshift bed suitable of any street urchin. He took his knife out of the bag as well as his lunch, he hadn't dared to eat it so close to the guard house, a very stale piece of bread, and placed them down. Lastly, he turned his attention to his own appearance. He scooped up some soot and dirt from the window sill and unashamedly smeared it over his face and clothes, even going as far as tearing his shirt collar a tad and stretching out the sleeves.

The stage set, he sat down in the corner of the room that faced the door, drew his knife and waited. He clutched his meager meal to his chest and attempted to look as fearful and pathetic as a frightened street urchin, which wasn't all that hard considering that he WAS a street urchin, and he was most certainly scared. His knife hand shook a little as he heard their enemies footsteps climbing the stairs of their base. He gulped and even jumped a little as they forced the locked door open and held his knife at arms length between him and his assailant. Oddly though, his foe was a woman wielding a spear, and not wearing a guard's uniform. A knight maybe? Regardless he had a part to play, and he needed to do it well if they were to survive.

"W-Who are you!? I haven't done nothing! Go away, this is my bread!" he yelled at the woman in a panicked voice, his breathing heavy and his face a mask of fear and filth. The room was equally messy, the furniture broken and covered in thick layers of dust.

"The most gorgeous of people are often the most deadly."

"I'm sorry, but please explain to me when it became acceptable for a gentleman such as yourself to accost a young woman, especially in such a manner?"

The man froze, his hands gripping the woman's wrists tightly, and his eyes peered into the darkness. "Who ... Who's there?"

A chuckle was his immediate answer, followed by a silky voice from above.

"Oh, just a little thing called karma ... And you're about to have an entire feast of it, you piece of scum!"

The man had only a flash of light, skirt-like material, far shorter than what is deemed acceptable in the time and age, before the feeling of something crushing his face enveloped him. He let out a grunt and flew to the ground, his hands slipping from the young woman's wrists, and he bounced, his palms clutching his injured face. Blood oozed between his fingers and dripped down his hands, undoubtedly from a broken nose and busted lip, and he squirmed, cursing and shouting expletives.

Axel turned to the young girl, gently resting a hand on her shoulder.

"It would probably be best if you went home. Don't tell anyone what happened - I'll take care of this sorry excuse of a man for you."

The girl sniffed and nodded, lifting her heavy skirts only high enough so she could run off. Axel waited until she was safely out in the street, which was bustling with merchants and salesmen, before turning to face the man.

"Alright, little boy," she said, moving her head from side to side, cracks echoing in the darkened area between two buildings. She crossed towards him, cracking her knuckles as she strode. "We can do this the easy way," she said with a sigh, "Or the hard way." With that, she grabbed the front of his shirt, lifting him higher than her own height, so that his feet dangled in the air. His face was already swelling, and tears mixed with blood on the disgusting skin of the pervert.

"Do we have a problem here, boss?"

Axel paused, the voices hitting her back and reverberating in the small alleyway. She chuckled softly, shaking her head as she did so, before chucking the man to the ground.

"K-k-kill her!" he cried as he landed.

Turning, she heaved a sigh as she caught sight of the six men. "Such a shame .... I really don't want to mess up delicious-looking faces such as yours, but," she drawled it out as she reached down, easily plucking up a long wooden pole from the ground, "I suppose I haven't any choice in the matter, now do I?" she asked, swinging it up and over her shoulder. The men looked at her for a moment, turned their eyes to each other, and then promptly burst into laughter. One braced himself against the wall as he laughed, while two others bent over at the waists, clutching their sides.

One stepped forward - the leader of their little band of thugs-for-hire - and snickered. "Listen, little girl - maybe you should run back and perform your womanly duties before we actually get serious about hurting you." More laughter ensued, but it took Axel only three steps before she had crossed the area between them. On the second step, she dropped her weight to her right, her right fist clenching, and as she pushed forward into her third step, she swung under and then up, promptly hitting the jaw of the 'leader'. He grunted and stumbled back, tripping over a pile of rotting wooden cartons, before he fell to his back and into a pile of equally-rotten food. Rolling on the ground, her writhed from the pain of a broken jaw.

It was only a second later before his entourage reacted, and they threw themselves into the fight, brandishing their own home-made weapons, both including blades and not. Axel moved solely upon reaction to the most immediate threat, her fists flying through the air in a style of fighting that she had made all her own.

She had taken out two of the five remaining before she was seriously injured, but by then she was falling into a bit of exhaustion. Due to such, a dodge was weak, and a blade sliced cleanly through the meat between her hip bone and her rib cage. Pain immediately flushed through her, blood escaping out and at first dotting her top. It slowly began to spread, but the adrenaline that kept her moving shoved the pain back, allowing her to further fight.

Finally, she spun, swinging her left leg out and kicking it up in the same motion. The heel of her foot caught the cheekbone of the one remaining assailant, and the attack sent him flying into a nearby wall. He struck it hard, his head cracking back and against it, before slumping to the ground and going still. Axel straightened, brushing off her shirt as she did so. Her hand rose, the back of it wiping a few droplets of blood from the corner of her mouth.

Spitting in their direction, she scoffed. "How disgusting .... To consider yourself men is an insult to human kind. You're nothing more than rodents - pathetic scum that need to be wiped from this world."

Axel grimaced, a gasp escaping her lips. She stumbled into the nearest wall, her blood-smeared fingertips clenching against it, while her free hand moved to her side.

"Just my luck to get injured on a day as important as this," she scowled. Taking a step forward on a slightly-shaking leg, she cringed as the movement sent pain through her body. Sparing a fleeting glance at the poor victims of her attack, she pulled a face. Another bout of luck just for her - the assailant of the young girl was none other than Sir Datlon Riaron, of the House of Riaron - a high-up family with quite a lot of money. During the attack, he had somehow ended up with a spear directly through his neck. His eyes were frozen open in shock, already glazed over with death, and his mouth hung open, blood dripping down from it and mixing with that at his throat. The six thugs were among similar states - one had a dagger through his forehead, and another had a homemade battle-ax through his chest - but they were of no matter for her.

Turning, she approached Datlon, the hand that wasn't clutching her side searching through his clothes. She found three pouches of money and one with precious jewelry within, and without hesitation, opened all four and scattered most of each across the ground between all of the bodies. She positioned Datlon closer to the thugs, making it more believable that it was either a behind-the-scenes deal gone wrong, or a mugging and robbery that had gone wrong when the thugs couldn't agree on a fair, share able profit between them all.

With that done, she pulled a string at the top of her skirt, and immediately underlying layers fell to their full-length. Taking a dagger that she kept hidden at the top of her skirt, she cut the skirt in several places before smearing blood across it. Turning to her bodice, she cut several holes in the top, giving it a tattered look, before turning to the street. Pulling in a deep breath - or as deep of one as she could manage, what with the injury in her side, she disheveled her hair and stumbled to the street. "Show time ..."

Tears were streaming down her face before she even reached the light, her hand outstretched while the other clutched her side.

"Please ... Please help me!" she cried, stumbling into the day light. She bumped into a make-shift stand that sold vases, before tripping and grabbing on to a nearby guard. "Please ... Help me ... H-he tried to sell me ... To them ... There ... There was a fight ... I got away ... But ..." She cried out, doubling over and clutching her side.

The guard immediately grabbed her in an attempt to keep her from falling. A order was shouted for his comrades to investigate the area that she had come from, while one was sent to fetch a doctor.

"Don't worry, you're safe now. You'll be just fine."

A twisted grin crossed Axel's lips, for her head was ducked out of view. In her trembling voice, despite the grin, and managed to whimper out, "Thank you ... Thank you so much," before collapsing into the man's arms, feigning unconsciousness.

"Anything can be fickle, no matter what it is - especially magic and it's redeeming qualities."

"Janittey, dear, would you mind fetching me the jars of pig's feet, sheep wool, and horse hair, please?"

A young girl of only twelve years, Janittey was child-like only in appearance. Her personality, however out-matured those beyond her years - hence why she had begun such serious training at such a young age. A sorceress-in-training, she had been taken in by Celestial when she was only six years old. The elder woman had found her wandering in the forest near her home, her memory completely gone, with only her ability to communicate with nature guiding and protecting her. She had been lucky to have been discovered by Celestial when she was, for surely the girl would have ended up as wolf food not too long after.

Due to their similarities in abilities, the Magister had deemed her a worthy apprentice, and as soon as she turned eight, she began to train her. It began with smaller spells - growing plants and flowers for herbal and medicinal uses, or calming animals when they were skittish and nervous - but the girl had progressed so impressively that she was already learning not only defensive potions, but also offensive potions. Her main focus, however, remained on nature and animals, due to both her love for it and Celestial's refusal to over-teach her on things that could corrupt a young mind, despite its maturity.

Janittey nodded eagerly, turning and scampering off to a nearby shelving unit. Their room was stationed on the main floor, yet near the back of the palace for safety purposes. It was one of the largest rooms in the castle - it had not been claimed for anything before Celestial's arrival only for the fact that it would become immensely drafty in the winter-time. However, she had no problems with that, seeing as she used her magic to warm the large, stone room.

The girl returned, holding out three jars to her mentor. Celestial accepted and opened them, dropping one product of each into the large mixing bowl. A puff of smoke flew up, before the fog inside of the bowl settled. Celestial turned her spoon in it a few more times, before removing and setting it aside.

"Alright, so what potion did I just create, Janittey?"

The girl pursed her lips and scrunched her nose, a face she often made when she over thought anything.

After a few moments, she spoke hesitantly. "Um ... From the ingredients, I want to say that it was one of your potions that you made to use as a joke against anyone who made you angry. So I want to say that it was the Hair Removal potion, applicable to any part of the body. Once applied, the hair on that section burns off, never to grow back?"

Celestial clapped her hands, smiling as she did so. "Correct, my dear. And why is this potion one that is not often allowed for creation?"

Janittey paused briefly, before beginning slowly. "Because it is wrong to harm others, no matter what they've done to you. Magic and Potions are for good, not evil. If you are being forced to do something that you know is wrong, atone for it later - because your safety is a number one priority. Right?"

Smiling, Celestial dropped her hand onto the girl's head, leaning over to be at her height. "Very good, my Ittey-Bittey Apprentice you!" Janittey beamed at the praise. "Now, lessons are over for today. Run along and play with the children of the staff - I'm sure they're waiting for you outside the palace." The girl nodded and eagerly bounded off, her black ponytail bouncing as she did so.

Turning back to her work bench, Celestial quickly discarded the potion. Plucking up her spell book, it immediately zipped down to the side of a silver dollar, and she slipped a chain through a hoop at the top of it. Dropping the chain around her neck, she tucked the book beneath her top.

Seeing as the Queen had yet to request anything special from her, and she had already finished her ordinary duties around the palace, her schedule was relatively free at the moment - a rare occurrence for someone of her abilities and title. Honestly, she wasn't sure what to do with the free time she had been granted.

Shrugging, she adjusted her dress before turning and striding from the room.

Only to bump point-blank into none other than the Queen's Protector himself, Nginnam. Catching herself on the wall, she finished shutting the door, pulling the large gold key that adorned the same chain as her spell book, and turned it in the lock before returning it beneath her clothing. Turning back to Nginnam, she bowed her head at him.

"I apologize for bumping into you. I hadn't a clue that you were out here," she said, tilting her head back to see his hidden face. "Speaking of which, what are you doing in this wing of the palace? It's rare that I see anyone here at all, let alone you. Aren't you supposed to be with the Queen?" she asked, tilting her head to the side, her curiosity evident. Suddenly, her eyes lit up and she went on her toes. "Do you have any food by chance? Bread? Mutton? Anything? I'm positively famished!" she exclaimed.

Jack Juggler

"that's all? I've heard much crazier----"
Jack had started to say in somewhat of a reassuring tone, but he was cut of before he could finish the sentence, like this Cassius hadn't even heard him speaking.”Thanks… but I just realized I don’t have time for this. There are lives at stake…”Before rushing out of the door without as much as a goodbye or even a thanks. "Hey! we're are you goin--" but again Jack was cut of, this time by the door slamming behind the pink haired lad. "God damn this kid is a rude one" Jack thought to himself. Something told him that the kid meant nothing but trouble and should probably be left alone, but then again something else about the little brat gave of a sent of power. For all Jack knew, this kid could be some rich lords kid suffering from amnesia, maybe helping him would pay out for a poor jester...

"HEY!" Jack shouted to the street, getting a few weird looks from people who weren't Cassius. "KID! I need to talk to you!" He shouted after someone he could see in the distance who had pink hair. For once lady fortune was actually at Jack side as the kid turned around with a puzzled look on his face. "Glad I caught you, lad" He said as he jogged up to the kid. "Look, you said you were heading for Vóreia , and as faith has it, so am I" Jack said, putting an arm around Cassius' shoulder as he spoke.

"Why don't we team up and continue this adventure together?" The kid looked a little unsure, probably puzzled by Jack's offer, but Jack flashed one of his winning smiles which hopefully reassured him. “I don’t see why not… The kid said a little hesitant, letting Jack lead him back towards the tavern. "but I warn you, I don’t have much a plan for after I get there.” What a surprise Jack though sarcastically to himself, but on the outside of course he acted as the information simply amused him a little as he gave a small laugh. "Well, that's the fun things about adventures, you make them up as you go" He stopped right in front of the Screaming Swordsman's door. "But, as you probably understand, we'll need supplies and such. So why don't you sit down in here and let me get us set? Get my horse ready and all." Jack suggested and nodded towards the door. Surprisingly enough Cassius seemed hesitant, like he had another idea. “You know, Jack, I’ve been traveling just fine without any supplies… and as you said, you got a horse. I’m sure you’ll manage just fine in catching up with me. Besides, how far could I possibly get on foot?"

Jack laughed within himself. Yeah, you managed very well without supplies, pall But out loud he said: "Well, you know best yourself, mate. Just follow the main road towards Vóreia. I'll catch up with you in the evening. See you then, lad" With that Jack smiled and gave Cassius a gentle slap on the chin before turning in his heels and walking towards the market to get supplies. Leaving the puzzled Cassius to do whatever he saw fit.

Town of Skystead
On the Border of the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of Vóreia and Occidens (previously Nótia)

Jack had seemed rather eager to spirit him back to the tavern, but his feet told him otherwise and he knew he’d regret it if he didn’t get moving. They were still a few days outside of Vóreia, and Cassius had the strangest feeling that he’d find what he was looking for once he got there. His journey was just beginning, and in Vóreia he’d take the first steps towards saving the girl from his dreams. Or so he believed, that is. He wasn’t entirely sure what was guiding him, but he felt it in every fiber of his being that some higher force was pulling him north (even though his heart knew that his final destination lied somewhere in the Eastern Queendom of Anatoli).

At times, Cassius had wondered if he was simply deranged. There was no sense in chasing down a face he’d only seen in his imagination. But, he was driven with conviction and convinced that she was as real as he was. For sixteen years he’d watched her struggle and live in darkness, experiencing every moment of her anguish and torment as if he was the one imprisoned inside the cave and not her.

"Well, you know best yourself, mate. Just follow the main road towards Vóreia. I'll catch up with you in the evening. See you then, lad.” Staying on the main street, he wove his way through the plaza, surviving the dangers and intrigue of the marketplace before finally reaching the northern edge of the city. Just before stepping outside the city gates, he heard a voice in a nearby alley… a voice that immediately lured him into the dark decrepit corridor.

“Cassius…” A mere whisper in the wind, he only stepped further into the darkness before something snatched his wrist, dragging him onto the ground. Slumped against the wall, he saw only a silhouette in the shadows near him as slender bony hands reached out for him. The figure cackling, it revealed its discolored hood draped around its head before finally its dark beady eyes fell onto Cassius. Shivers sent spiraling down his spine, beneath the hood he could just barely make out the grotesque creature beneath.

“You’ve kept me waiting a long time, boy. They talk about you, yes, yes, they talk about you. All the time, you see. Nobody listens, they should listen, and nobody does… but I did. You’re special! You were meant to be a farmer… no, not a farmer at all. She thought you were dead see, dead! But you’re not dead now, are you… ?” Terrified, he pressed his back to the wall, fingers curling around the hilt of his… wait, where was his sword?! He must have left it in the tavern. “Dammit…” Having no other options but to indulge whatever it was, he hesitantly stood up. “What are you talking about you old loon?”

”There was twins you see, twins, just like you with pink hair and everything. I saw them I did, I saw them! They didn’t want me to see, but I see everything.” Of all the things that made sense to him, he’d never really acknowledged the fact that he’d shared quite a resemblance with the girl from his dreams. But twins… was that possible? He’d always been the outcast in his village because not many people had hair like his… except for one that he knew of.

”Awe, you realize now, you do, you do! The Queen won’t be very happy when she finds this out, not very happy at all. You best make big friends traveler because you’re going to need them where you’re going.” And just like that, it was gone… leaving Cassius alone with his thoughts. It wasn’t long after the encounter that Cassius was well out of range of the city, his hands deep in his pockets as he mulled over everything he’d heard. The biggest question that rattled his brain was… who the hell was that? And how did they seem to know more about him than he did.

Could it be possible that he had a twin? And what did the Queen have to do with any of this? He was nothing more than a lowly peasant; surely he wasn’t in position to interest a queen in the slightest. “Who am I?” Staring into the sky, he almost didn’t hear the sound of hooves clicking behind him. Jack had come as promised, a welcomed site no doubt as Cassius took note of his sword hanging over the side of Jack's horse. “Am I happy to see you. Maybe there were some supplies I needed after all.”

Alessia scrunched up her nose, peering over at Doran who, due to her kneeling and his sitting, was still at least a head taller than she - not an uncommon occurrence when her height was involved. She was quite short, she would admit, at the height of 5'5.5", but that was the only thing that anyone had on her. What she lacked in height, she compensated in skill.

Frowning at him, she crossed her arms beneath her breasts, her gloves brushing lightly across the glinting armor that shielded her chest.

"'Tis not wise to fool someone like myself, Sir Doran," she said, lifting her hand and flicking him in the forehead.

Raising a brow at him, she peered into his face.

"I told you. He does not believe your skills to be worthy of the Royal Guard. Do not take it offensively," she said, waving her hand at him. "He tests every person who is offered to join the Regiment, for he wishes only to protect his lineage," she told him, but her voice was a bit sour on the second half of her explanation. The corner of her lips turned down in a slight scowl, and her eyes hardened a bit.

After a few moments, she shook her head, pushing herself to her feet. Her hands braced on her knees as she rose, and once straightened, she held her hand out to help him up. Once he was standing, she went on her toes, her face near his and her eyes peering into his own. Her eyes were narrowed and her lips slightly pursed.

"I have yet to meet a knight, or soldier of any standing, such as you, Sir Doran," she said, her expression curious. Leaning back down, she began a slow circle around him. "Most soldiers with your skill level are cocky - they think themselves invincible and the most skilled of all of the warriors. You, on the other hand ..." She paused once she was in front of him once more. "You are the exact opposite. You are quiet, modest - and shy," she laughed, flicking his nose. Turning away, she brushed a few stray hairs back from her face.

The man was definitely an enigma - and she enjoyed solving riddles.

Taking a few steps away from him, she glanced back over her shoulder. "Well? Shall we? My grandfather requires a report on your techniques, skill-level, and reliability by the morrow."

Outside the City of Occidens
"I know that very well, Your Highness, that it is nothing but a fool's plan to trick a mind such as yours" Doran replied softly, his voice like wind resonating from a distant cave. Doran blinked his eyes instinctively, as her white hand struck lightly his forehead.
Doran chuckled once, an imperceptible sound and a movement even harder to detect.
He sat on a more comfortable position, as Alessia explained once more the situation...a present that Doran probably knew too well.

"I told you. He does not believe your skills to be worthy of the Royal Guard. Do not take it offensively, he tests every person who is offered to join the Regiment, for he wishes only to protect his lineage"

The matter interested Doran so much that he wondered why Alessia waved right in front of his face, frankly, not very much: he sighed lightly, considering Alessia's statement...how low could Occidens get? Even the princess has to fight--not only, but she is also an amazing warrior, much like a trump card: a princess as beautiful as Alessia couldn't dedicate herself to war, right?
Somewhy, the words reminded Doran of his father Arabor the 'most revered head of the Paragon': he has always been harder than a rock, or steel...or any alloy, really: he has always been distant from the lastborn, no matter what he achieved. Metaphorically speaking, Arabor has always been a great mountain: one that Doran could never climb, and after many, many, many, many attempts, he surrendered before the tall piece of rock.
Doran was afraid of his father: a person that he cannot gaze upon, since his mere presence stains the man that is his father.
He feels so estranged from his father, that in the night nightmares haunt his sleep: who was wrong? Doran, that refuses centuries of traditions or his father, that paved his way the very day he was born?

A shiver through the spine shoke Doran, one colder than any breeze. Doran looked for the princess: she was standing before him, casting her shadow over him. He took her hand and lifted himself up, easily and quickly. As soon as he stood up, Alessia closed the distance between their faces: despite she was short, she really knew how to get taller...and then, her eyes were close to his. Doran was surprised, it seems grey eyes do exist: and her eyes were sharp, intimidating, imperious...like her father's.
Doran inevitably blushed and backed off, feeling relieved as the princess started to whirl around him...and reminding him how different was he from the other knights. "Th-that is because I have nothing to brag, Your Highness: my mind is not keen, neither my arms strong...or my armor exceptional" Doran said so, turning toward the princess that longs to clash him.
"Bare-handed": that's how Doran wanted to fight, since he carried no sword or polearm. That is probably another difference between Doran and the other knights.

Fia'ye Kirastugi

Anatoli -- Clock Tower

As Fia'ye approached the top of the clock tower, she would have enjoyed being sneaky, but there was always someone in here, which she has startled a couple of times. Though she was hearing what sounded like frantic footsteps and eventually a loud noise followed by snapping. Fia'ye was no Sherlock Holmes, but she knew when something was suspicious. Approaching the top, she paused before opening the door, having no idea weather or not the person inside was hostile or not, she prepared her spear and opened the door gently, seeing what looks like a starving dirty orphan whom was brandishing a knife.

"W-Who are you!? I haven't done nothing! Go away, this is my bread!" he yelled, Fia'ye has dealt with these types before on occasion,

'Yes. And I was born last month.' she thought, with a sigh before speaking, "I'm Fia'ye Kirastugi, a knight of the Castle. I'm not sure if you've done anything wrong, and won't persecute the innocent if you didn't. But I am in an investigation and need to use the view from up here." she said smiling. Though she felt bad for the child, she placed her spear against the wall, and nodded,

"Here. It's not much, but it should help you." she said taking out about fifteen gold coins and holding them out, a week's pay for her. Thankfully though, Fia'ye wasn't a big spender, though she didn't need to feed herself. Since she lived with someone else. Though she kept her eyes on the dirty child.

Sir Talbot

Anatoli clock tower

The fact that their secret meeting had been broken up so quickly did not faze Talbot too much in truth. What did upset him was the fact that a knight and not a guard or militia-man had been the one to do it, knights were always tougher in a fight, he knew that one from experience.

Though he trusted Asani enough to make them invisible to most normal people, he did not trust this stranger knight who was able to discover their secret meeting spot, a new one was clearly needed. Every so gently he reached into the beggars robes around him and with his bare hand slowly unsheathed his sword, it was a hand and a half sword, good for use both with or without a shield as it allowed the wielder just that extra bit of grip on the hilt, it suited his fighting style perfectly.

He noticed the knight had placed her spear so that it lent against the wall, just a step behind her, though he wouldn't risk picking it up he gently manoeuvred himself so that the better part of his body was in between the knight and her main weapon, he was glad he rarely wore his own armour these days, else he would have made a large racket. His sword was raised and pointed just left to her spine, the point hovering unwaveringly just an inch away, the blow would take his sword through the heart, severing the veins and causing a slow death. However he was loathe to attack anyone from behind, so for now he trusted to Asani to maintain his invisibility, lest the two knights descended into fighting.

Oliver Fendil

Anatoli Clocktower

So he'd been right, the woman was a knight of the queen... The situation was certainly beginning to escalate. He could only pray that Talbot and Asani didn't do anything to foolish, not that he believed they would. Oliver frowned at the woman and forced himself to stop shaking as she placed her spear against the wall. He lowered his knife slightly and muttered "...O-Oliver. So long as you 'aint here to nick ma' things, do as you please." He continued to eye the woman suspiciously though, after all she was probably looking for them!

What she did next though really confused him, she reached straight into her pocket and pulled out a handfull of beautiful, glittering, heavy golden disks of pure monetary value, about fifteen of them, and offered them to him. Without asking for ANYTHING. Oliver was dumbfounded, and dropped his knife in shock. Was it some kind of trick? Was she going to grapple him if he tried to take them? His mind racing, Oliver came to the most logical conclusion he could think of, trade. Reluctantly, he ripped his meager loaf in two, plucked three, just three, coins from her open palm and placed half the bread into her hand before stuffing his coins into his boot. "T-Trade..." was all he could bring himself to say, still quite worked up about the whole ordeal. It wasn't really his... usual product, but he could not sell her any of his information! So bread would have to do,

Fia'ye Kirastugi

Observation Room - Clock Tower -- Anatoli Capitol

Fia'ye shook her head, handing back the bread and the rest of the coins, "No, no, You keep this. This isn't me trading with you, it's me giving you what is needed Oliver." she said with her gentle smile, he wasn't used to people giving him money. She kept the money out and ready to be taken, she had enough food to sustain her, nothing like her Master's jerky and stews, which were free, but Fia'ye brushed the thought aside, she next spoke with a calm tone, as if she were smarter than he thought,

"Alright Oliver, I have a few questions, you won't be arrested. But, I wish to know why you were causing all the racket as I came up, and secondly, where and how you learnt the runes." she said with a still, yet calmed tone. There was still a lingering feeling, like there was some sort of danger, she had no real idea where, but there was some sort of danger none the less. Someone other than her and Oliver was there, yet she didn't know the true danger she was in, yet, if anything attacked from behind, she had a little bit of defense on her back, it was her sword, but at least it could deflect most things. Secondly, was her quiver, where as her bow was with her horse, which kept itself from danger, she still kept the quiver which sported a bit of metal in it for support.

Fia'ye sighed, she had probably scared the poor child, though with his knife she placed a nice square handkerchief she kept with her underneath the gold coins and bread the child gave her. She had no need for anything she placed. Though the handkerchief was something her deceased mother made for Fia'ye, the scarlet knight had no need for it compared to the child, looking at the table, Fia'ye put it back on it's broken legs, seeing some of the remaining papers, though she knew whom the child was, she had no real care, her loyalty wavered when it came to the Queen. The rebellion wasn't something she had a real problem with, she leaned upon the table and waited for Oliver to respond.

Asani Kosovani

Anatoli Clock Tower

"Asani, make the two of you invisible and keep absolutely silent. I'll take care of the rest." Upon hearing this Asani backed against the wall, hands raised he weaved a veil over himself and talbot hiding them from "normal" vision; then again to mask their sounds and once more to wrap it around themselves. At this point Talbot and himself could be neither hear nor seen by normal means as long as they were careful. All the while Oliver went about the room causing a ruckus. Soon the intruder entered, a Knight of all things, dressed in red wielding a spear... "This could turn quite sour... tread lightly" Asani thought to the others. "I'm Fia'ye Kirastugi, a knight of the Castle. I'm not sure if you've done anything wrong, and won't persecute the innocent if you didn't. But I am in an investigation and need to use the view from up here." Asani began to disregard her as another soldier sent out on a hapless task. "Looks like they're still looking for Hood..." At this point she handed Oliver coins and they had their exchange, at the same time Asani could see Talbot moving between the knight and her weapon. Should this turn sour she clearly wouldn't be making it out unscathed. And then Asani heard words that chilled his spine "...where and how you learnt the runes." Just as he was slipping into a daydream he snapped to attention, this was clearly no ordinary knight. Asani began to delve into her mind and immediately sensed magic, though no magic he was familiar with... it seemed hot to the touch but bright, nearly indescribable on a first skim. Asani reeled back from her mind, after all those with a magic inclination can often sense scrying eyes. "Talbot, I would suggest we find a peaceful solution here, this knight seems rather capable without her weapon and I would rather not lose this headquarters just yet."

(...and then I was weird enough to write one more post in an RP about to be closed. Again.)

19th of June
Somewhere in Voreia

After over a month, the sketches had finally become reality.

A boy with brown hair sailed through the cloudless midnight sky on white wings, whooping with uncontrollable enthusiasm. Golden armor covered his torso, shins, forearms, and head. A large green shield of crystal was strapped to his right arm, while a golden bow was in his left hand. From all the components (bar the shield), feather-like projections of neon green, blue, and violet light sprouted.

"This is even better than I thought it would be!" the boy exclaimed as he swooped down before pulling up and soaring back towards the clouds. "With this level of control, it even feels like I'm an actual angel now!" He had been flying for more than 8 minutes already, and it seemed he would not be stopping any time soon.

Finally, though, the boy descended to the ground. As he landed, he noticed a girl with long, black hair walking towards him. She was smiling, with equal joy, but a more calm sort, as she sat down nearby. "Well, Durbe, are you finally happy now?" she asked, looking up at his face. "All that time you've been complaining that your father and si...I mean, the princess...have such wonderful magic and you've had none of it is finally behind you, with the armor completed."

"Yeah, it's really amazing!" Durbe replied, beaming with excitement. "It's kind of a shame that I can only be on the same level as...basically anyone who uses magic, really...when I have this, but..." Looking down at the ground, a trace of sadness flickered through his eyes and didn't quite leave. "I'm just glad I have this, Ayu. It makes me feel like I'm actually something...not just some guy who was called a 'sign of peace' because a constellation shined brightly during the night of his birth, and failed to live up to that."

Quietly, Ayu watched his expression, before continuing. "But, what will you do now?" she asked, standing up. "You're not going to use it to fight wars, and I doubt you would go as far to attack your father right away. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there's really any scenario in which this armor could be put to good use..."

Shrugging, the prince glanced back at the sky. "To be honest, I really don't have much of a path in life at all. I don't care about being a prince, and half the significant figures in our castle--probably including all my family members--hate me. If I could do what I wanted, I'd just travel."

"That's it? You just want to go gallivanting off on some idealistic crusade?" Ayu shot him a look of annoyance. "I don't think you're exactly ready to be a knight in shining armor yet, Durbe."

"I didn't mean that I'd be going off to slay dragons and defeat dark lords or any of those fantasy things!" Durbe protested, before he looked down in thought. "Although...I guess that wouldn't be too bad, heh."

Nearly toppling off her feet, Ayu let out a groan of disgust. "For crying out loud, Durbe of Occidens! You're hopeless!"

"Well, what would you rather do?" Durbe asked, doing the shrugging motion again. "You'd rather be out of the castle too, wouldn't you? Especially after those assassins showed up, probably from my father..." A dark, frustrated look flashed through his vision for a moment.

Nodding, Ayu walked next to him. "You're right. There isn't really anywhere safe for us anymore...so, you would rather just travel 'wherever the wind would take you,' or some flashy line like that?"

"That sounds about accurate," Durbe laughed, gently wrapping both arms around her waist. His wings appeared on his back and flapped several times. "Come on, let's go!" With that, they took off...

As Ayu and Durbe looked at the moonlit countryside beneath them, marveling at how beautiful Voreia looked compared to Occidens, the girl looked up at the sky, and suddenly her eyes lit up. "Durbe...look!" she called, pointing.

Image

Following her gaze, Durbe saw the formation of seven stars gleaming brightly from above. "That's...the Grand Chariot," he breathed. Yes, this was the very constellation which had supposedly been shining brightly during the night of his birth. "To be honest, this is actually my first time seeing it and knowing it's there," he laughed, scratching the back of his head while wearing an embarrassed expression.

"Well, I'm no astronomer, fortune teller, or what-have-you," Ayu mused, "but this is a pretty good sign for the start of our journey, right?"

Somehow, looking at the constellation made Durbe feel that much more confident. "Yeah, it is," he agreed. "Hm...you think we should do something stupid like chase the constellation? No, I'm just kidding." Chuckling, he tried to ignore Ayu's irritated glare. "Well, anyway, I guess we'll head to Anatoli like I was supposed to, not that we have to care about Occidens anymore...wait a second. Wow, the Grand Chariot's right above it. Hey, guess we're chasing the stars after all!"

Both of them laughed at the joke as Durbe's wings guided them towards Anatoli under the beautiful star-filled sky.

Oliver Fendil

Anatoli Clocktower

Oliver gave Fia'ye a long, odd look, then stared at the outstretched hand, holding coins, bread, his knife, and a handkerchief. He then stared back up at the knight... and his resolve broke. This woman was genuinely trying to help him, with little to no thought as to how she might benefit... he couldn't lie to someone like that. He sighed heavily, took back his knife and his bread, and closed her hand around the coin and hankie. "Y-Your kindness is appreciated... but truthfully I have no need of this either." He stood up, walked to his belongings in the corner, and put his knife away.
Asani, you and Talbot should leave now. I can't lie to her anymore... but you two can still get away. Who knows? Maybe she'll even help us! That's the vibe I'm getting anyway.
He pulled out a piece of cloth and wiped his dirtied face with it and pushed his hair back before walking back to the now rickety table and sitting down across from the red knight.

"Obviously, you already know who I am and why I made such a racket. Well, you would be correct, but before I answer any of your other questions... I must ask one of my own." Oliver looked quite different now. Sure his clothes were still dirty and his hair looked like a bit of a wreck, but his demeanor had changed and his were eyes sharp and focused.
