Her hair color is a highly debated topic. Technically, it is strawberry blonde, but in certain light it appears more brown than anything.

Her eyes are a warm, honey color.

If there's one word that true to Winter, it's athletic. She was always the sporty type that could go from the gym, to a ball room in five minutes flat. Her parents liked to joke that Winter had more than one personality, but in truth, Winter was the kind of child that would play soccer while still in her dance tutu. It was clear that her older siblings had quite the influence on her, their misadventures as children leaving a few scars on their respective bodies. Winter herself is quite fare in complexion, her hair being the same ginger as a fox's fur and her eyes a warm honey gold. As far as clothing goes, Winter wears whatever she believes is appropriate for the occasion.

β"I am more than a pretty face." β
Regrets collect like old friends
Here to relive your darkest moments
I can see no way, I can see no way
And all of the ghouls come out to play
And every demon wants his pound of flesh
But I like to keep some things to myself
I like to keep my issues drawn
It's always darkest before the dawn
And I've been a fool and I've been blind
I can never leave the past behind
I can see no way, I can see no way
I'm always dragging that horse around
All of his questions, such a mournful sound
Tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues drawn
But it's always darkest before the dawn
βMy past should stay behind, but it doesn't, it haunts me.β

{β β½βΎβββββ β}
Winter was born on a cold snowy night in a secluded mountain lodge in Colorado. Her parents were both doctors, her mother being a pediatric general surgeon and her father an oncologist. They were both well traveled people and wanted to give their children the same experiences that they had. Therefore, when Layla got pregnant with her third child, a miracle baby since she had been deemed infertile only a year before due to ovarian cancer and the family was swept away to a lodge where Layla and Allen could be out of the hectic city to have their baby, appropriately named Winter. Winter was like every other little girl, she had a princess and pink stage, a following around her siblings stage, and a tomboy stage. Winter was figuring out who she was and as such, her parents supported her every endeavor.
Winter went to a private school, her sister took dance and her brother took fencing, Winter wanted to do both. As such her parents enrolled her, she quit violin and horseback riding, taking up two sports that made her body work like it never had before. At a certain age, every child enrolled in dance becomes represented by an agent. Her sister had since quit dancing, picking up soccer and cheer leading. Winter was going strong, quickly rising through the ranks, travelling the world in dancing competitions. Both on the stage and at home, Winter was nearly always busy. When the dance season ended, the fencing season began. Winter had just gotten a contract with a reality TV show when she went on spring break with her family. They were going to stay with their family in Italy when Winter's brother began hearing voices. As it turned out, the family she had thought to be perfect began to fracture. Eric was slipping, his grades, his hold on his sanity, his life. Winter was at home alone, packing, when Eric crept into her room.
He dragged her out to the woods behind their house and tortured her, planning on killing Winter when he was done. It was two days of agony, then Eric dragged Winter out of his hideout, using the rope that had been binding Winter to keep her from running away around her throat. The oxygen was cut off to her brain, the police cut her down before it could kill her, but Winter was paralyzed from the waist down. Eric had a brain aneurysm in the back of the police car, he died before he could reach the hospital. Winter was traumatized, she spent a long time in recovery, the doctors managing to reverse the damage with a risky experimental treatment having to do with stem cells. They replaced the marrow, destroyed her immune system, and then made her go through intensive physical therapy. Even then, the phone calls didn't stop. They wanted to do a movie, staring the tragic dancer who was too traumatized to ever step foot on stage again.
To get away from the public light, her mother and father took a job offer at a small children's hospital in a quiet town. Summer, her older sister, grew overly protective and aggressive of anyone that tried to grow close to her younger sister. They are looking forward to a quiet, healing summer of settling into their new home and making peace with their past. Of course, her parents overlooked one small fact about their new home and the effect it might have on their daughter.
