❝When you are in a garden which flowers do you pick? The most beautiful ones.❞

Raphael had ruined the moment, the two of them having fun when Raphael burst in to see why Celeste had screamed. Of course the two girls blushed, which made Raphael blush. He closed the front of the tent and moved away, not wanting to see his little sister fool around with Kitra, who at one point had been enemy number one. It was funny how someone you hated in the beginning could turn out to be the one person intended for you. Destiny was a funny thing, it had so many things in store. It nearly killed Celeste a few times, it had nearly taken Kitra from her, but in the end the two girls, at first enemies, were now lovers. "It's funny how fate plans things out," Celeste mentioned lightly as she began to clean up. There were still so many parts of this place that Celeste wanted to capture on paintings so that she would always remember it. The floating lights at the top glowed warmly, sending colorful shadows dancing along the ground.

Celeste had intended to simply throw her clothes on and go to dinner, but Kitra had other ideas. Celeste blushed heavily and nodded when Kitra offered to clean her up. "Um but it might not-" before Celeste could finish Kitra had already found out for herself. "Taste that great," she ended and giggled, offering her shirt for Kitra to wipe her tongue on. "It's okay, it was a good try," Celeste kissed Kitra's collarbone as though to make up for the failed attempt at being romantic. The two girls were still new to this, there was going to be a very wide learning curve. "It's okay, I figured you wanted to spend time with Lilim anyhow, seeing as how she's finally up to speed." After Lilim having been so slow, it was nice having their friend and Kitra's little sister back up to speed. Cambion would be happy too, whenever they saw him next. Would he be surprised to see that Kitra and Celeste were still alive? Had he known that Celeste hadn't really been executed? He must have, unless Cambion was one of those who had picketed for it to happen.

The two girls strolled together towards where the picnic was set up, flowers seeming to bend out of their way so as not to get trampled on. The ones that weren't so lucky sprung back upwards almost instantly, as though by magic. No one had seen Maya yet and Celeste grimaced at the thought of having to break the news to her. Gabriel would be the one to let her down easily, he was, after all, the one that loved her. His crush seemed to be obvious to everyone but Maya herself, who was still enamored by Lilim. Lilim was still taken by Raphael of course and as long as Raphael was in the equation Maya didn't stand a chance. Celeste hoped that Maya wouldn't do something drastic and try to kill Raphael for Lilim's hand. Had Lucifer been alive he probably would be disgusted by the fact that Lilim and Kitra had both fallen for angels.

"Oh Maya, I'm glad you're here." Celeste smiled upon seeing their friend. "Are you hungry? Dinner looks really good." it was different from the stew they had been living on before, but still had plenty of protein for the group. "Gabriel was just saying how he thinks that Satan seems like a nice man. I'm sure there's somethings that he'd like to ask you too." Celeste shot Gabriel a look who rose to his feet. "Why don't we go for a walk Maya?" Gabriel offered, shooting Celeste a glare in return.

❝Truth and lies and everything is reborn.❞

Even though this attempt of romance and love had been thwarted by the green poison known as paint, there was still plenty of time for the girls to really learn how to get used to this strange word known as love. Kitra was very much surprisingly innocent when it came to romance, which was odd seeing as how she killed people as easily as she breathed if she really wanted to. "Thanks for the warning, urgh, it's so gross." Kitra exclaimed blandly, still with the after taste after rubbing the green off. Celeste took the initiative then, kissing her collarbone, and so the spider reacted by gently tapping her hand right at the crest between Celeste's legs, touching it through the cloth of the skirt with a tricky grin. "Nice and moist, better be careful there." Kitra taunted as she left the tent to go eat.

Maya arrived, being very very confrontational. Kitra squirmed, not sure how to handle this. She didn't have many friends as is, she didn't want to lose Maya too. Lilim seemed to be trying desperately to think of something funny to talk about to break the tension, it seemed as if only disaster would happen here. Maya was then thrown for a loop when Celeste opened her mouth, completely disregarding the angry fumes wafting off of the shadow princess. "Y-yes, I'm hungry, but that's not the point, I-" And Celeste almost seemed to talk over her as Kitra carefully and delicately took a few sips of her stew, blinking in surprise at how strong it all was.

In the end it seemed Celeste was trickier than ever before, managing to have Gabriel and Maya sent off together. Maybe if this was Gabriel's chance to confess his feelings, perhaps it would be enough for Maya to stop thinking with her heart and to realize what they were saying here. Oh, right, Lilim was still here. "Um, it's just so they can talk about Satan in pri-" The succubus almost looked insulted right then and there, frowning distinctly. "I know Maya loves me, Kitty." Lilim almost spat the words out. "I knew for a while now, did you really think I didn't notice?" Lilim was dense in many things, but as a lust demon, she was always on point when it came to romance. "The way she kept picking fights with me before, the way she always took care of me, only an idiot wouldn't pick up on it."

Raphael nodded along and it was clear then that the two of them had already discussed this problem as a couple. It made sense, and it concerned them more than it should Kitra and Celeste, in all honesty, who were kind of on the outside of this love square situation. "Maya's a troubled person, and I think Gabriel would be good for her." Raphael said as he ate his soup. "He probably has the best chance out of anyone to get through to her." They were happiest when they could all be happy together. When emotions were high and tense, it was scary because it made them realize how thin the balance of their group dynamic was. "I hope it all works out, I hope-" And that was when, spontaneously, Cerberus hopped over and tackled Kitra over, stealing all of her food, thumping his tail with satisfaction once it was done. "Not like i was hungry anyways." The demon coughed, a hand on her chest.

In truth, Celeste should have expected Kitra to pull a trick like that, but in the end she hadn't and her blush only intensified. "It-it's only for you." Celeste couldn't believe she had actually just said that, but her mouth had moved before her brain could think and the words were now out there, floating, waiting to be picked up and taken advantage of by Kitra. If this game of their's kept up, Celeste would probably do something even more embarrassing than ever before. She knew of enchantments that could supposedly make someone fall deeply in love with you, it was one of the illegal ones, an unforgivable. Celeste wondered if Kitra had given her a whole a gallon of it, maybe sneaking it into her food or water as Celeste had fallen very hard for this girl before her, the one with the amber eyes that sparkled and hair like ebony that fell in soft waves across her shoulders. She was almost glad that they were out in the open as Kitra wouldn't make a direct attack around the others.

Or maybe she would? Her lover seemed to be brave and bolder than ever before. It made her happy that Kitra was back to herself, to the girl that Celeste had fallen in love with. Strong, smart, adorable, overpowering at times. The angel and demon were yin and yang, two opposite forces that couldn't exist without one another. When Maya arrived, Celeste was shaken out of her thoughts. She quickly offered Maya food, then told her and Gabriel to go discuss things on a walk. Gabriel seemed slightly upset that Celeste had trapped him in this position, but Celeste knew that Gabriel was probably the only one that could make Maya listen. Especially since he loved her, he would be able to break the news gently in a way the others couldn't. Gabriel was the leader too, so it was possible that Maya had a certain respect and a boundary she wouldn't cross.

She breathed a sigh of relief once the angel and demon were out of earshot, glad that for now, that was taken care of. Lilim had high hopes that Gabriel would confess to Maya on their walk and distract her from the real problem at hand. "A girl can dream, can't she?" Celeste sighed with a shake of her head. "Gabriel isn't forward, to get him to say that sort of thing would take a lot of coaxing, or maybe an honesty charm." Celeste mused, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Her eyes suddenly lit up, "What if we sneaked a charm into Gabriel's drink so that he'll finally confess his love?" It was devious, Celeste thought, but Raphael laughed, dismissing the idea. "That's child's play," he ruffled Celeste's hair. "Gabriel would see right through that and just avoid Maya until it wore off." That was a good point, Gabriel had always been good with his emotions, he'd be able to tell if he was having an off sort of day.

Lilim had known all along that Maya was crushing hard. It was obvious to anyone that would look into their friend group to see Maya shooting Raphael glares, trying to hog Lilim to herself. "I guess it's a good thing we didn't end up being blood siblings," Celeste giggled, as a brother and sister dating would cause turmoil most anywhere. Incest was not something they approved of in the Angel kingdom no matter how attractive your sister or brother was. Just as Kitra was wishing the two success, Cerberus came and stole her food. "It's okay, you can have half of mine, there's too much here for just me." Celeste held out her plate to Kitra, offering her own food. Celeste wasn't a big eater, anyone could see that and she was already quite full.

That's right, Celeste belonged only to Kitra, every part of Celeste was hers to play with as she wished and oh god that really did sound horrible if you put it that way, didn't it? The vulnerable way Celeste told Kitty that her special spot was just for her - even as she ate her dinner, Celeste's expression stayed in her head, making it hard to really concentrate on anything else. If only Lilim didn't pick up on it, if only Lilim didn't realize and point it out for everyone to hear. As it was, the group was discussing the current situation with Maya, with Satan, trying to figure out things, especially with Gabriel's feelings taken into account. "We're all counting on him." Kitra muttered, but in truth her brain was still fixated on taking Celeste for her own tonight, she needed to plot revenge against Celty for the current unbearable stirring deep within her. She couldn't attack now, no, but tonight, it was anyone's game.

Charms were very different from magical circles that demons used. Their effects weren't as pronounced and they never had any offensive application really, but they did provide utility and didn't eat up life energy from its surroundings, either. Magical circles were stronger and had so many different possible uses, but if abused it would eatup more life energy than the world could naturally regenerate over time. Maybe the key to fixing Hell without ruining the lives of demons that relied on magical circles was learning about herbology and charms and preserving magic circles only for when charms wouldn't apply. Wait, what was everyone talking about again? Kitra had slipped accidentally into Queen mode. Raphael had his hand in Celeste's hair though so Kitra pulled Celeste in by the waist, rubbing where Raphael did. "Mine." She stuck her tongue out at her future brother in law.

"Yeah, I, um, just thinking about being related by blood to the Angeals, I reacted really badly then." Lilim still never really apologized for the incident that lead to her becoming a bat. "I'm sorry about all the trouble I caused, really!" People worried so much, pretty much everyone forgave her for it all. No, the only thing that bothered Kitra was that they still had no idea who turned Lilim back from her bat form. No one had any real answer for this and it was perplexing them all. Anyways, after Cerberus decided he was hungry, Kitra shared Celeste's dinner, enjoying the indirect kisses. "Let's go rest up, then we'll find a spring of some sort tomorrow to clean up in?" A field of flowers, there had to be water somewhere, and as much as they wouldn't admit it, the six of them stank.

So now Kitra and Celeste were back in their tent. In the morning they would figure out how things went, but for now, it was just the two of them. "You know, you were driving me crazy." The demon's voice was thick, full of repressed desire ready to burst out now that they were free. "Just for me, and yet we were surrounded so I couldn't claim it, could I?" So she grinned, her tentacles spread, a sound-proof charm was conjured. "It's time for me to taste my flower now, isn't it?" They hadn't done this before, but there was always a first time for everything. So Kitra brought her head close, her tentacles restraining Celeste's arms above her head, her tongue swift yet gentle, taking her favorite flower as hers. A perfect way to end a day, wasn't it?

Raphael was explaining charms in detail now, since he was pretty much an expert on them having studied them so that he might improve the control of his ability to manipulate water. Raphael's power was unique, but also very powerful. You see, humanoid being's bodies were made up of 75% water. Manipulate that and you could have an entire army of puppets that could bend underneath your every beck and call. Raphael ruffled Celeste's hair and the angel giggled. Kitra suddenly slapped his hand away and pulled Celeste close, hissing and claiming Celeste for herself. Raphael rolled his eyes but in response he grabbed Lilim by the waist and kissed her directly on the lips. "Mine," he mocked, whispering something into Lilim's ear that made him blush. Celeste had to wonder if he had the same idea that she and Kitra had. Perhaps it was something in the air that made it intoxicating? The need to be with the one you loved in the most romantic way, Celeste had a feeling it was the flowers influencing them.

Lilim was recounting how badly she reacted when she had found out she was related to the Angeals. "You make it sound like it's a horrible thing to be related to us," Celeste giggled. "Not that I blame you of course, our family has had their moments. We can be really petty at times," especially Mizuki, she had always been incredibly spiteful. Some had doubted that Mizuki was actually an angel considering some of the things she had done when she was younger. Being dishonest on purpose as though she had enjoyed the pains angels got whenever they lied. She would steal from the kitchen and yell at their parents when she was upset. Raphael ran a hand through his purple hair, as though remembering this too. He and Mizuki were twins, fire and water, ice and steam. Sometimes Mizuki would throw a fit because she didn't have a little sister to play with and would dress up Raphael as a girl. When Celeste was finally born, Raphael was relieved he would never have to wear a dress again. "Ooh, a bath sounds so nice." Celeste sighed and stood, stretching. Raphael and Lilim were staying behind to see what would become of Maya and Gabriel.

Back at the tent, Celeste entered after setting up a sound proof charm around the perimeter. She had started undressing under the pretense that she was going to put her pajamas on when Kitra came over. It was just the two of them now and since their tent was soundproof there was no need to be quiet. "So it worked then?" Celeste giggled, her cheeks already pink. She was only in her panties now, her leg still colored with samples of paint. Kitra's tentacles came from her back, her lover meant business didn't she? Their competition was fun, although Celeste was still losing. "I like our little game," Celeste admitted with an almost shy smile, seeming doubly adorable. Kitra's tentacles wound around her, restraining Celeste's wrists above her head. Kitra drew closer, Celeste smelled something sweet on her breath, as though she had eaten one of the sweetberries Lilim and Raphael picked.

Celeste let slip a moan, she was still wearing the collar, having never taken it off. It was fitting wasn't it? Considering that Celeste was Kitra's in both mind and body. "I'm all your's," Celeste whispered when their kiss broke. This was a possession that Celeste didn't mind. In a way, it had been there since the two girls had met. Kitra had been very possessive of Celeste when she first kidnapped her and at first Celeste had simply thought it was because Kitra wanted a toy to play with, but now she wondered if it was love at first sight.

A few days later, Kitra was feeling quite a bit stronger now. The morning after that night, Maya apologized and said she wouldn't be so quick to turn on them, willing to give them a chance. Of course, it seemed it wasn't just them she was giving a chance to - Gabriel wanted the chance to steal her heart from Lilim and Maya in all her distress was unable to refuse. She didn't love him back yet, but now Gabriel was finally in the running. That day, around what felt like noon, Kitra and Celeste found a bubbling stream at the base of one of the hills, and the water flowed down to a waterfall that went on farther than the eye could see. So for bathing times, Raphael would dam the water up so that there was no risk of anyone being sent to the bottom of the water. Kitra woke up after a satisfying time with Celeste and turned to her side and realized Celeste wasn't there at all.

Late last night someone snuck in and stole Celeste away in the dead of night. This person was standing above the waterfall, Celeste's wings were tied up by a soft vine that didn't hurt, it did, however, prevent flight. Maya was holding her, and she definitely seemed upset. Kitra eventually found her way there, and the spider demon was brimming with anger from this betrayal, after everything they had gone through together. "Daddy says the Altar puts him in horrible pain." Maya whimpered, sniffling. "He said it hurts him, that he can't bear the pain anymore, it doesn't stop, I have to save him. So Kitra, please, please just unlock the chain and set him free, if you do the Heavenly Vow, I'll return Celeste to you." Even Maya looked as if her heart was breaking in half as she was forced to choose between her closest friends and the father she abandoned so long ago.

Kitra would never ever risk Celeste's life, no matter what. It was both her pride and her weakest part, and pretty much everyone knew it. "Fine, I'll do it. I'll make the Heavenly Vow." Kitra hissed, not knowing what to do, not wanting Celeste to ever feel hurt if she could help it. So one Heavenly Vow later, Kitra went to the Altar, holding Celeste's hand. "Liandry's Torment." The demon muttered lowly. "Yeah, I know how to break the seal, you'll be free, Satan Ataera." Satan smiled at her like an old uncle of sorts. "Thank you, Kitra... Vacivus." And then Satan was free, and then Maya opened a portal in the shadow behind the Altar. And then Satan grabbed Lilim and before anyone could react she was bound to the Altar, every second, every breath was the worst pain she ever experienced, she writhed but couldn't break free.

"Don't worry, you filthy Vacivus, spawn of Lucifer." Satan's entire demeanor had changed, his true face was shown. "As long as your life energy is sucked from you, this Flowersea won't die." He slipped through the shadow portal Maya had set up then, it was one that lead to Hell. Maya stared for a few seconds and she bit her lip. "I'm sorry." Her voice sounded like a pained tearful choke. "I didn't - I didn't know, I'm - I'm gonna... try to talk... to him." So Maya opened up another portal. "This one will be up for seven days, connecting Eden to here. You saved my father, so I'll let you save Callisto." And with that, Maya left, Lilim was left whimpering and crying but now the Altar had the Ataera family seal, only Maya or Satan could release her.

Kitra might have just doomed them all.

Celeste was sleeping curled up in Kitra's side, wearing nothing but the collar that she had yet to take off. Celeste didn't mind it, it looked more like a fashionable choker with a trinket that just said where to send Celeste if she ever got lost, the address being Kitra's home. The two girls had, had yet another exhausting session of achieving Heaven and Celeste had fallen to sleep almost instantly afterwards, Kitra's markings of love left all over her body. It was no wonder she didn't hear the tent opening, or perhaps it was the sound proofing charm so that no one outside the tent could hear a thing. When a hand went over her arm, Celeste at first thought Kitra was trying to shake her awake. She opened one eye slowly, then the other. "Kitra?" Celeste murmured, looking around the tent but Kitra was still asleep. Celeste closed her eyes once more, it must have been her imagination. She was too tired to notice the open tent flap or the shadow lurking in the corner. Maya grabbed her, stuffing cloth into Celeste's mouth to keep her from making a peep.

Celeste flailed, but Maya was stronger than the girl who had just woken up. Her arms were bound to her sides, as well as her wings so that there was no chance of them opening. Maya carried Celeste over her shoulder, the angel still wearing nothing but the collar as Maya hadn't noticed she was nude. She closed the tent flap, carrying Celeste away from the are where everyone slept. Her eyes stung with hot tears, Maya had betrayed her, she had betrayed all of them. Her stomach sunk, Celeste felt nauseous as she realized what direction Maya was carrying her in. The stream with the waterfall that led down farther than the eye could detect. Celeste screamed and writhed, attempting to escape. Was Maya trying to kill her? Was she going to throw her down the falls as revenge for Kitra not releasing her Father? "Mmfm!" Celeste screamed, fear plunging ice down her stomach. She didn't want to die, not like this. Why was Maya doing this? Had something happened? Had someone brainwashed her? Maya seemed almost sad as she stood by the edge where the falls were at their loudest.

"Sorry about this," Maya whispered and struck Celeste's throat. The angel went limp, her head hanging backwards as though she was looking at the falls upside down. By the time Celeste woke up the deal had already been struck, Kitra was making a Heavenly Vow to release Satan from his prison in the alter. Celeste blinked a few times to clear up her vision, she was being handed over to Kitra. "Kitra, don't trust her," Celeste coughed, shivering. There was a chill in the morning air, even if the sun never rose or set. There was no way to break a Heavenly Vow, not until it was completed. With Celeste released Kitra took her hand and led the two girls towards the alter where Satan was waiting expectantly. Cerberus was there too, all three of his heads panting. He licked his noses and lay down in the grass. Celeste stood a few steps behind, watching as Kitra sliced her finger and set Satan free.

In that moment, everything changed. Satan grabbed Lilim, who was coming to see what the commotion was all about. He restrained her to the alter and made his escape behind it, using the portal Maya had set up. Celeste, in shock of what had just happened, sank to her knees. Cerberus went after Satan, faithfully bounding at his side. Maya too, seemed in complete shock of what had just happened. She opened a portal for them to escape through, then went after her Father. They had seven days to bring Callisto here, seven days until the portal closed and sealed them off from Lilim. "She'll come back, right? It's either her or Satan that can free Lilim." Raphael was yelling, but Celeste couldn't make out the words and angry sounds coming from her older brother. Gabriel was there too, draping his jacket across Celeste's shoulders. "What happened? How did Satan get out?"

Lilim was suffering, she was whimpering and shaking and she couldn't move from the Altar, she was stuck, those eyes which were once full of mischief were now filled with nothing but confused pain that didn't understand what was happening, didn't understand why this was happening. Kitra was glaring with nothing but hatred at someone she once viewed as a true friend. "I'll kill her, I'll kill her, I have to, Lilim, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, this is - I -" But if she hadn't accepted the deal, if she hadn't given in, then Celeste would have fallen to her doom. In the end, what could they have done? What could they have possibly done to fix this? "Maya... betrayed us." Kitra said at last, wishing more than anything that it was her, rather than Lilim, that had to be trapped to the Altar. "N-now we... we kn-know where... the m-m-magic of the... Flowersea... c-comes from..." Lilim tried to make a joke but it didn't work, it didn't work at all. "Don't look... like that, I'm fine, I'm okay, I pr-promise..."

Lilim wasn't convincing anyone.

For now, all they could do was go on through the portal, to bring Callisto here and have her healed by the Flowersea. They had seven days or else Lilim would be stuck here, with no easy way out and back to society, trapped all alone. And the worst part was that they had to kill Satan, which meant they couldn't kill Maya, since if Maya died, then the last line of the Ataera family would be gone, and Liandry's Torment, that curse magic would never be removed, leaving Lilim to exist as the fuel for the Flowersea to function. What was once seen as paradise was perverted into a dark, horrible creation. It's true - what seemed to be a wonder turned out to be far too horrible to imagine. "You guys go." Raphael said at last, staring down at the grass at his feet. "Go and win. I'l; stay here, I'm not leaving her alone." Lilim's mouth opened her wings twitched but then she said nothing because she wasn't strong enough to tell Raphael to go and fight, to tell him that she was okay all alone. The isolation... would just make the pain worse.

Six of them left Eden to go to the Flowersea, only three of them would return to Eden. "Lil, Raph, we'll be back, we'll definitely be back, and we'll let the Flowersea rot until the end of days once this is done." She stepped closer to the portal, suddenly feeling as if she couldn't go, but the demon knew she had to. There was no other choice anymore. "Celeste, stay close to me, the darkness won't get to you if I'm protecting you." Gabriel had never traveled by shadow before, this was his first time, it was normal to be wary, but he followed the girls in, not daring to say goodbye to his brother.

One harrowing journey in the darkness later, they landed in Eden. Zadkiel was there, waiting, and the Angeal King had definitely not had any sleep in a very, very long time. His face grew ashen at what he saw, three distraught people out of six. "Where's -" But then he saw it. Kitra's eyes were both working, and most importantly, his precious daughter was alive and well physically. "Celeste, my child, you're alive, you're better." He embraced her, but there was no time for this. "Father." Gabriel said. "Where's mother? We can heal her, we can save her. And there's another thing..." And so Gabriel began to tell Zadkiel about all that had come to pass.

Things had taken a turn for the worst, Celeste couldn't help but feel the tension between the three of them as they walked off, laving behind Lilim and Raphael in the Flowersea while they returned home. She stayed close to Kitra, the darkness oppressive and slightly overwhelming. Why now, of all times? Why did this have to happen? They had finally achieved peace and now Maya went off and betrayed them. When they finally stepped out on the other side of the tunnel, Celeste stumbled. King Zadkiel was there, having seen the tunnel appear and rushing out to see the verdict. The two girls emerged, more whole than they had been in a long time. "Celeste!" King Zadkiel swept his very much alive daughter into his arms, hugging her tightly. "I'm so relieved, I thought I was never going to see you again."

Celeste felt like crying for more reasons then one. "Celty!" Someone yelled, it was Nani, rushing down the staircase and into the garden with tears in her eyes. "Oh my, oh my, you're naked, you're alive, what in the world happened?" There was no time to update Nani, but Gabriel told Zadkiel everything that had happened in great detail. Nani went inside to grab Celeste some clothes, they had left their things behind in the Flowersea in their rush to get out. "We have sun days to heal Mama," Zadkiel nodded. "I'll get to work moving her right away and-" he stopped himself. "I may have some samples of Atera blood somewhere, Maya allowed me to draw some to research a cure for turning Lilim back." They had thought that maybe demon blood held the key for turning Lilim back. In the end it hadn't mattered though, as somehow Lilim had magically become human.

Once they were inside, Celeste didn't feel right. Zadkiel had crossed in through the portal to see how conditions were for Callisto to go in. He returned a few minutes later and went to begin making arrangements as well as find the sample of Maya's blood. Obviously they couldn't release Lilim until Callisto was healed and while it was selfish, the magic wouldn't otherwise work. "It's not your fault," Celeste said as though reading Kitra's mind. She was watching her Father and Gabriel in the garden through the window of her bedroom. "Maya did this of her own accord, she knew we had to wait and ask Papa but went and did it anyways." Celeste shook her head, Maya had been selfish and thought with her heart rather than her head. Had Maya not recalled that Satan hated the Vacivus family? Had she not realized he would try to take some form of revenge on them?

Now he was in Hell, no doubt wreaking havoc that Cambion would have to quell. "He could be anywhere right now." Celeste hugged herself and turned back to Kitra, it was just the two of them in her bedroom, with as much privacy they could ask for. Nani had brought them lunch, which sat untouched at the table. "Maybe we should take a bath? I mean, we only bathed once and it was without soap." The stream had also been freezing when they tried to take turns bathing in it.

They were back in Eden now, but Kitra felt as if she left behind something more important than the ability to see, to smell. She'd rather Lilim be here and whole and still be corrupted, and still have fits, have hallucinations of her kind big sister, Furfur, if it meant Lilim could be spared the pain she was going through this very moment, possibly forever and ever. How could Maya have just betrayed them like this? Nani had come down as well, while Gabriel nearly bombarded King Zadkiel with all the information he would need to make a decision. Of course, now that the Flowersea's existence was real, it meant they had to send Callisto over as quickly as possible. "The portal's only here for seven days, remember." Kitra warned, glad at least that they had a workaround for lifting Liandry's Torment. "It took me and Celty a total of nine days, so Callisto might not be fully healed at the end of it."

She gulped, but knew she couldn't back down with this. "No matter Callisto's state at the end of the seven days, we release Lilim and let her come back, understood?" Those were her terms, maybe it was selfish, maybe it was awful, but it made sense. Plus, even if they had to go past the limit for Callisto's sake, it wouldn't matter if it meant the portal shut and Lilim, Callisto, and Raphael were stuck in the Flowersea, stranded there. Zadkiel looked at her but didn't respond and went into the portal to see how things were, to talk to Raphael, to Lilim, and no doubt, to ask just how much pain her silly sister was in. And knowing Lilim, she would pretend to be tough, pretend that she could handle this burden.

"I was cornered." Kitra's breath was shallow, heavy, she was holding it in for far too long now. They were back in Celeste's room, she needed clothes, after all. "I - to choose - I couldn't have... there was... nothing I would have done differently. If it meant saving you, even if it meant sacrificing Lilim, I-" It was awful, the absolute horrible truth, yet that was how it was. "I won't forgive her." Maya, that was. Lunch was there, but no one seemed to want to eat. "I should fly to Hell, to see how Cambion is doing, soon." Kitra said grimly. "Celeste, do you want to come with me? We can take Skyla, we'll be a team."

At Celeste's suggestion, Kitra stood up. Yes, a bath would definitely be helpful, it wouldn't do to smell of flowers and sweat like this all the time. To the angels of Eden, the three that had returned most likely really smelled horrid, right? "That stream was way too cold, it came from the tundra, after all, snow falling from the sky like that." So they went to the baths, and Kitra settled herself into the water, sinking in. But just relaxing and taking a bath in comfort while Lilim was suffering... what kind of sister could she be? But Kitra knew, purposely punishing herself wouldn't do anyone any good. "It would be inappropriate right now, to want to make you mine, wouldn't it?" Kitra murmured shamefully. "Yet, seeing you naked like this, my body, it heats up, you know, right?" Her sister was in pain and Kitra's body was burning with the need to be one with Celeste. How wrong was that?

Celeste's vision swam with tears, she tried to blink them away, a terrible feeling in her chest. She felt guilty, if she had known it would have come down to this she would have never agreed to go. Never agreeing to going would have meant the end of her life, but at least Lilim would be safe and not bound to the alter experiencing the worst pain of her life. Celeste swiped at her eyes, was it stupid that she was willing to give up her life for a friend? No, perhaps not. Celeste had already lost so much, the thought of losing Lilim was near unbearable. "We'll figure this out," Zadkiel promised and kissed her forehead. Afterwards she and Kitra retreated to Celeste's room to retrieve clothes and eat after their long journey. She watched from the window as Zadkiel returned and disappeared, going to get Callisto to transport her through. Gabriel followed him out of sight, he had probably been gone maximum ten minutes.

"Papa won't let Lilim suffer anymore then she has to." Celeste shook her head, watching as Zadkiel came back into view, carefully guiding two soldiers that were carrying a stretcher between them. Gabriel was with him every step of the way, holding up a bag of fluids, more human medicine that Ami and Finn had sent over by breaking the rules. Zadkiel would not discipline them of course as these had been his orders, he had asked them to seek out Michael as well in case it came down to it. "Is it strange to be happy that Mama will be cured, even though it'll hurt Lilim?" Celeste moved away from the window, she could no longer stand to watch the transport of her fragile mother who was breathing via a tube that had air pushed into it. This was Celeste's fault, if she hadn't hurt her mother, if she hadn't nearly killed her, then Callisto would be up and running the palace like she always did.

Kitra was breathing hard now, stuttering over her words, saying that she didn't regret her choice. "I know," Celeste kissed Kitra's lips, standing on tip toe. "Thank you for saving me," she rest her head on Kitra's chest, her arms wrapped around her in a hug. "You didn't know, none of us knew what Satan was going to do, we thought he was going to end up being a good person." It turns out Satan hadn't changed, like Kitra had said he was harboring a century old grudge against the Vacivus family and had hurt Lilim, even though she wasn't truly a Vacivus. Of course there was no way Satan could have known that seeing as how he had been gone for the last ten years. "I'll go with you, but we can't leave smelling like this."

Celeste led Kitra into her bathroom and started working the knobs on the tub, a stream of hot water pouring into the porcelain tub. "I'm surprised we lasted as long as we did in it considering how cold it was." Celeste shivered just thinking about it as she undressed. The bath was mercifully warm, piercing through the chill that had frozen itself to her bones. "I know," Celeste blushed as she began to wash herself. "But we can't help it can we? Lilim wouldn't want us to not um, you know because she's captured." Lilim was a lust demon after all, she had done it was Raphael in an open field because she suddenly need to be relieved of the heat below.

They were transporting Callisto to the Flowersea now, to where she would start to heal. "I just hope her being at the Flowersea won't make Lilim's pain worse." The former demon queen was almost shaking at how unfair all of this was. Lilim was just healed, she was just given back her normal speed, and for what? Now she had to experience in real time all the horrible pain Satan was shouldering for the past ten years. How could anyone call this situation fair? Who even thought the Flowersea was a good idea in the first place? But... if it wasn't for Satan's pain, and now Lilim's, they wouldn't have been able to be healed. That was the unfortunate truth that no one could ignore. Kitra utterly ignored lunch, even if it was rude to Nani. "It's not... it's not weird at all. It's normal to want your mother to be okay, so don't be ashamed for that." Emotions were a weird thing, and they weren't a reason to fault someone.

They were in the bathroom now, and Celeste's body, with its subtle curves and small features, it was as intoxicating as the flowers of the Flowersea had been, if not moreso. "I'll always save you first, you don't have to thank me. You'd do the same." Celeste had done so a few times already, though one of those times ended in a tragedy that was only now being fixed. Deep down, all of them were hoping that Satan would turn out just like Maya, a good person with flaws - although now, their definition of Maya was changing too. Sure, it was easy to relate to her reasons, but the fact of the matter was, Maya betrayed them.

"Yeah, it was really painful to try and clean ourselves in that water." Kitra made a face, just remembering the cold and the freeze and the endless white that just wouldn't quit, threatening to burn her eyes off from the glare. Sadly, their bodies wouldn't really care about a girl that was suffering, their bodies wanted to be relieved of the heat that was building up to unbearable levels, to the point that it overflowed every thought. "I'm sorry, Lilim, but you understand, don't you?" And so Kitra approached Celeste, her finger moving for her lover's lower lips, feeling like a horrible little sister the entire time.

Once it was over and both girls were cleaned and dressed, it was time. Gabriel promised to inform them right away whenever Callisto woke up, and he brought messages from both Raphael and Lilim. Raphael told them to do their best and to do it quickly, and to make Maya pay, and that he would take care of Callisto for them. Lilim insisted that she was fine and actually having fun and not to worry - but once again, she didn't trick anyone, and Gabriel had to admit how tired she seemed already just from the past hour. Ktira boarded Skyla, holding out a hand to help Celeste up. "For now, Hell needs us, but we'll be back, Gabriel." Kitra said with a scowl. "And don't worry, you can trust me to protect Celeste with my life. If it's too dangerous, we'll be right back here before you know it."

"I hope not, maybe Papa can bring Lilim something for the pain, or something that will at least let her sleep until it's over." It would be a mercy for Lilim to sleep through all of this like it was just some twisted dream. She would wake right up back in Heaven and would know no difference. "Or at the very least I hope that he finds the samples of Maya's blood." As of right now he was with Callisto in the Flowersea, maybe the vial of Maya's blood was already in his pocket? Why had Maya taken off instead of freeing Lilim before she went after her father? There were a few questions that Celeste had, this entire thing seemed to be highly suspicious. Celeste would never trust Maya again, not after what she had done. She could still hear the waterfall rushing right behind her ear, feel the vines tied across her chest, binding her wings so that she would not survive the fall if she was dropped. Her stomach dropped at the thought of being pushed into that pit.

There would have been no surviving no matter how or where Celeste would have landed. "It was scary, that waterfall, who knows how long it drops for?" Celeste shivered once more and sank further into the tub. Kitra said that she would always come to save her, just like all of those times Celeste had tried to save her. "My attempts have been a little less successful than yours." Celeste said and scratched at her cheek, it seems to have become a habit. Celeste was excited to have her Mama back though, she missed her dearly and she could only imagine the pain Kitra had gone through when she lost not one, but both parents. Poor Kitra, unlike Celeste, would never get to see her Papa and Mama again as they had been killed. She still couldn't believe that Maya had betrayed them after all the six of them had been through together, after the corruption and pain.

Kitra grew closer, apologizing to Lilim. Celeste's breath caught in her throat as Kitra's fingers slid down her body and to the sensitive spot between her legs. There was a lot of moaning coming from the bathroom and plenty of cute sounds made by either girl. When it was over, Celeste's legs were shaking when she tried to climb out of the tub. After drying off and getting redressed, Celeste headed downstairs with Kitra to where Gabriel was emerging from the shadow portals. The news wasn't any better, but at least Mama was safe there for now and would begin to heal. "I'll be back, I promise," Celeste smiled as Gabriel hugged her. His hesitation to let her go was understandable since the last time Celeste had been to Hell she had come back corrupted and with the light disease.

"Take light pills with you," he shoved a little bottle into Celeste's hands and nodded to Kitra. "I trust you to watch over her," with that it was time to go. Celeste grasped her key in her pocket to make sure that it was still there. "Ready?" Skyla was at the Pegasus stable, sleeping curled up in a ball on a pile of hay outside since she was too big to be inside of it. "Hello Skyla," Celeste brushed her hands against the scales of the dragon. "Mind if we take you for a ride?"

Skyla let out a funny sound, stretching her wings, looking at Celeste for a few moments before recognizing her from the deep haze of sleep. While Skyla wasn't as cuddly as Winona, it was clear the dragon quite liked the angel and flattened her ears against her head, it was a dragon's version of a smile. "She likes you, heh." Kitra chuckled, trying to find little joys in the middle of all the sadness. "Are you the dragon whisperer or something?" The secret was, of course, that dragons were simple creatures that just naturally wanted to get along with everyone. So Skyla let both passengers on her back and they were ready to take to the skies. "Don't you still have the Infernal Dragon Egg somewhere?" Kitra asked her love out of curiosity. If so, Celeste would need a dragon of her own if she was going to have a long distance lover, since Kitra really was considering becoming the Queen of Hell again.

They were high up in the skies, above the clouds now. From Eden to Hell, it was going to take about three hours for a dragon with Skyla's speed, and she was faster than most dragons. Of course under Kitra's war armor she had her Reginleif ready to be whipped out at any time, and she could sense Celeste had her scythe as well, though Kitra had forgotten what it was called. Some fancy angelic name, no doubt. "What matters most, the best we can do to help for now is to see how my brother is doing, and help if we can." Kitra was determined this time, she wouldn't fail like she did against Thanos. Kitra would stand strong with Celeste always at her side, they would weather this storm together. "Your father and Gabriel and everyone, they'll handle things in Heaven for now."

Even if it was painful, even if it was horrible, this was just the smartest way to go about things. Do what you can, worry about things you can help, and try to just put the stuff outside of your control outside of your mind as well. Liandry's Torment prevented sleep, Kitra knew curse magic and that was one of it's features, but she had a feeling Zadkiel would do whatever he could to help Lilim manage. "He'll do his best for Lilim." Kitra murmured to herself and below them was Heaven's Gate. "Do you think your father sent word to Ami and Finn? We need them on the home front now, whatever they're doing, we'll need their help, now more than ever." With Satan on the loose, a demon so powerful that even Furfur was said to be unable to match his might, they needed as many allies as they could with them.

There they were, in Hell now, the dark ruined land that was Hell. The Onyx Citadel was there, standing solitary but strong and proud, a symbol for demons all over the world, a reminder of their might as demons, of their will to survive even in the harshest of conditions. Hopefully one day Hell would be as beautiful as it was said to be in all the old books, but for now, it was this wasteland. Minerva flew out to meet them on her own dragon, seeing them come. "Kitra, Celeste, it's good to see you." She looked troubled despite it all. "Zadkiel informed us you'd be coming." The butterfly demon said, guiding Skyla to the landing pad of the Onyx Citadel. "Satan's wrecking havoc, starting with Omega Island, recruiting the monsters there to his cause." Kitra turned to Celeste, just in case she didn't understand. "It's his power, he can control any demon that's become a monster." A terrifying power, since the more demons on your team died, the stronger his team became.

"Take me to my brother, Minnie, Celeste and I are here to help however we can." Cambion probably already knew about Lilim, about her struggle, and Kitra so dearly missed the only brother she had left.

Celeste nodded her head to Kitra's question. "Yeah, I still have the egg, it's um, in an incubator in the stables." Why did Kitra want to know? "It hasn't hatched yet, I'm starting to think that it might be dead." Celeste certainly hoped not, she didn't know the gestation period of a dragon. How long would it need to be in there for? "It's because I can turn into animals," Celeste winked, scratching behind Skyla's big ears. "I can understand them," it was true, actually. Celeste, in animal form, could understand other animals. As they took off, she couldn't help but to long to fly on her own, wanting to take off and reel through the air without needing assistance. Her wings fluttered, itching to fly, but they couldn't yet, not all of her feathers were back. As sad as it was, Celeste would have to stay on Skyla for the entire journey to Hell. There were a lot of things to think about on the way and a question that had been bothering Celeste for quite sometime.

"Kitra, do you intend on going back to try and be Queen?" Celeste finally asked. If Kitra went back to being Queen, what was Celeste going to do? "If you do," Celeste swallowed, it was a difficult decision, but it was one that she had to make. "I want to go with you," Celeste spoke at last. "I know it probably isn't smart since I just got over the light disease and all... but I don't want to be in Heaven if it means being without you." It would be hard, admittedly, on Celeste's body since Hell wasn't as bright as Heaven. Even now, just flying in, Celeste could feel the difference and she popped a light pill into her mouth to make up for it. "There's light pills I can take and if it ever gets too much, I can go back to Heaven and recharge." What would Kitra say? Would she agree to this plan? It was only if Kitra truly was accepted as Queen and Cambion willingly stepped down of course.

Celeste shook her head at Kitra's next inquiry. "No, I don't think so, he'll probably send for them as soon as he's back with Mama." It would be an all hands on deck project to get rid of Satan, a foe that could possibly be more fearsome than Thanos, if that was possible. Celeste's spine crawled with chills at the thought of that man, the one that had messed up her head and body, the one that had gotten her pregnant and nearly made her kill her own mother. "Satan, is his power worse than Thanos?" Thanos was the One God's brother, Celeste could hardly imagine Satan being as powerful as that.

The Onyx Citadel was in sight, the dragon dipping down to land at the entrance. Celeste slid off of Skyla's side, Minerva had come to greet them with her own dragon and was now on the ground with them. Celeste always felt shy around Minerva, although stars knows why. Perhaps it was because Minerva always threw Celeste dirty looks? As though Celeste wasn't good enough for her Queen. Or maybe it was because the last time they had met Celeste had nearly succeeded in killing the demon, albeit that too, had been underneath Thanos's influence. "I'd like to offer whatever assistance I can."

|| Manic || Plumb ||

It was good to know she still had the egg, and Kitra was a little surprised to hear that it was still just an egg, rather than having hatched into a baby dragon by now. "A year is the average gestation." Kitra said, as the resident dragon expert, scritching Skyla's scales. "But the bigger the breed, the longer the egg time. Infernal Drakes are among the largest, so I'd say a year and a half." There were other factors, of course, the biggest being how old the egg had been when they first found it. "Then you should tell me if Skyla ever complains about me." Kitra grinned cheekily at that. "She's much more sassy than Winona ever was, you'd hardly think they were sisters." What would make Winona coo happily, Skyla was likely to just stare with disgust and turn her head away haughtily.

A question was asked and Kitra had a feeling Celeste was waiting to ask this for a long time. It was a serious question, one about Celeste moving to Hell with her if she ever became Queen. "From the beginning, Cambion only stepped in until I was fit to retake the crown." Kitra explained, a little uneasily. "I'll be back for it one day. But, Celty, Hell - it's not a good place. It's dark, it's void of life energy, there's no pretty sights to really look at. It's a ruin." Yet despite this, the demon suddenly thought that Celeste living so far away in Heaven would be too painful, after they spent nearly 24/7 with each other just now. "If you're sure, then I wont stop you, but it'll have to be your decision, Celty. I'll always have a room for you."

Satan's power, it was one that was hard to explain. On a whole, Thanos was probably stronger. Satan wasn't a deity, he wasn't able to do some of the things Thanos was. But what Satan could do, he was incredibly strong in those areas, probably to an unsurpassed degree. It was only by chance Lucifer had been able to win, after all, hitting Satan right after he repelled one of Thanos's corrupted armies. "To demons, he's much scarier than Thanos, since the moment we die, he can take absolute control of us, he can strip our minds." But it was too late to elaborate more, they were on the way to meet her brother now.

And there Cambion was, on the throne that had been passed down so many times. "Sister, it's been a long time. We last saw each other in Erebus." Cambion actually looked a little hurt that she hadn't visited him before her life-or-death trip to the Flowersea. "I'm sorry, Cambion, for not seeing you. It feels like we've grown apart, since you have to stay here, while Lilim and I-" No, it wasn't that they grew apart. It was that she and Lilim left him behind, to be the last Vacivus left in an empty home. Cambion's loneliness... was probably horrible. "Kitra, compared to most demons, you're pretty unstable, so I don't want you going against Satan on the front lines." It made sense. Kitra couldn't be sure she wouldn't accidentally unleash her monster and end up under his control. "Instead you and Celeste - you have Skyla, one of the fastest dragons, so why don't you two deliver medical and war supplies to the front? And when you're done that, you can help lead the evacuation from the southern villages into Heaven where the people should be safe?"

That sounded good, as boring as it was. But with Celeste flying with her, maybe it wouldn't be so boring at all. "So we're gonna be supporting Minerva and the main army, not directly fighting." Kitra explained for Celeste with a half grin. "Think you can handle that?"

|| Too Much is Never Enough|| Florence ||

"I think it's been almost that amount..." Celeste trailed off. "We found it in the sunflower fields... that feels like forever ago." Twenty or so pages to be exact. "So it'll hatch soon? I wonder if it'll be a boy or a girl?" Celeste was already getting excited, she would have to read more about dragons now that reading came a bit easier. Celeste pat Skyla's back, she was a bit sassy, wasn't she? "Not all sisters are the same," Celeste said with a sagely nod. "You wouldn't think Mizuki and I came from the same family if you hadn't met us at the same time." Well, aside from the fact that the two looked alike. Most everyone in their family shared one or more qualities. Celeste was often told that when she was older she'd look more like Mizuki. However as years went on and Mizuki matured, Celeste stayed with an almost childish body. Her bust never got bigger, she did get a little bit taller and her hair grew longer but otherwise you'd never be able to tell the difference between Celeste now and Celeste ten years ago.

Celeste listened and nodded with understanding, so Kitra would go back to Hell then? She would return as Queen, if her people accepted her. "What if your people, the demons, what if they prefer Cambion as ruler?" Celeste asked worriedly. It might be cruel, but it was a very real possibility. While Kitra had been a good queen, or at least Celeste assumed so, there was always the chance that the demons preferred Cambion since it was under his rule that the revitalization project happened and that negotiations with Heaven reopened for demons to travel freely back and forth as long as they had probable cause. There was still some initial fear that a demon could very easily sneak through the gate to Heaven and murder angels in their sleep. Not everyone had been forgiven for what had been done in the past. As much as Celeste liked to think that they were all on speaking terms, she was not as naive as to think that everything was a-okay between angels and demons.

So Satan was powerful, but not as powerful as Thanos. "We took Thanos down, we can take Satan down too!" Celeste tried to say confidently although it sounded more like a mouse squeaking, the words nearly lost in the wind. There was no time to elaborate more on his power as they had landed and were now heading into the throne room where Cambion awaited for them. Celeste slipped her hand into Kitra's, she already had to jog to keep up with Minerva and Kit as the two walked rather quickly. Celeste was shorter, she had to take more steps to make up for her tiny strides. Kitra apologized for staying away for so long, Cambion seemed despondent although it was easy to understand why. Celeste wondered if he had been lonely all this time, without his siblings here to be with him. She knew Cambion only took over as King because he had been forced to after Kitra made some... interesting decisions.

Celeste couldn't help but shiver. She didn't want to associate the Onyx Citadel with the bad experiences she had, had here. It had been in this very hall that Celeste had sat upon the throne as Thanos's wife. She wanted to wipe those memories away, to change them with good things that she and Kitra could do. Right now they had a task ahead and Celeste would fulfill it no matter. "I think we'd be good at that," Celeste smiled with a nod. "Providing aid, it's something Mizuki got to do all the time during the war. She and Mama would bring aid to impoverished parts of Heaven from the war." Places like where uniforms were made and weapons honed, where the neighborhoods were rough and angel children learned how to lie before they could speak the truth.

Celeste seemed understandably excited to have her dragon now. "Word of advice? Be there when it hatches, baby dragons tend to imprint on the first living thing they see. If it's not you, they're less likely to listen to you." And a disobedient dragon was very hard to raise. Skyla made a huffing noise then, seeming almost insulted. "As you can tell, Winona imprinted on me, but Skyla did not." Yeah, Mizuki was harsh and cruel lots of times, and she wasn't adverse to torture, if Kitra's burn scars were of any indication. Celeste was gentle, very very different. "I'm sorry we couldn't find Mizuki." Kitra had no idea what was even happening to Mizuki, down in Obsidian, but that was for a different story. "Lilim and I look very different... a little known fact, Father's had many wives, so many of us have different mothers. Lilith was just the one that killed the others to win Father's heart." Ronove and Furfur had the same mom, Zepar was alone, Cambion and Buer shared one, Kitra was alone and Lilim was already obvious. "Cambion never wanted to be King, and he makes sure all the citizens know it, Celeste, he wants nothing more than to sleep and let someone else handle the hard work."

Yeah, he suffered enough, bearing the throne that he never wanted. Kitra knew better now, she had matured, she would do better by her people this time. To be honest, Kitra wasn't looking forward to having to fight, so she was glad Cambion picked up on that. They had only just recovered, to be thrown into life threatening situations would be pushing it. Celeste seemed happy about this new responsibility too. "I'll be relying on you." The slothy King stifled a yawn and it was obvious he was already running low on energy. "Honestly." Minerva shook her head with a huff. "At least you didn't sleep the day away when there was work to be done." And yet another strange look between Minerva to Celeste, Kitra was going to have to ask what that was about later. "We'll bring Lilim back, she's definitely gonna wanna see you again!" And so it was time to head out, Minerva had to report to the battlefield as well so she'd accompany them to the dragon nest. "It is good to see you again, Celeste, and under much better circumstances than before." The last time they actually spoke was quite awkward indeed, since it was back when Celeste was a prisoner. He made a boyish kind of smile. "Let's hope all our meetings from now on are in less busy times."

So Kitra headed down the hall with Celeste and Minerva and it was time to confront her old friend. "Oy, Minnie, before we go, I gotta ask." She got close to Minerva, not threatening but definitely a little forceful. "Do yo have a problem with the girl I love?" The butterfly stared for a moment, and then shook her head in surprise. "No, that isn't it at all." She seemed almost exasperated, and maybe a little bit hurt. "I just can't help but wonder how a such a powerful fighter can be in such a tiny, harmless looking body. It doesn't make sense, and so I stared. Sorry if it made you uncomfortable." She shuffled a little, looking down. "A-and sorry for treating you harshly in the past. Let's get along better this time, as allies." Yup, that was Minerva. Serious, hardworking, and way too awkward socially. "Geez, you always make misunderstandings." And the three were up at the dragon's nests now.

"Here are the packages, with food, gear, medication, weaponry, all the supplies an army needs on the frontline." Minerva fastened the packages onto Skyla's back who flapped her large wings a few times to test the new weight. "I'll go on ahead, since i have to command, but maybe I'll see you both there." And with that Minerva got on her own dragon and flew off. Kitra grinned at Celeste, feeling a bit more excited than she thought she would. "Let's do this. And if we see Maya, I'll make her pay for what she did." But instead of the usual confident swagger, Kitra's eyes actually held a lot of hurt and sadness, because she truly did trust Maya up until that dreadful moment. "Skyla, let's go, we have a world to save!" And Skyla let out a haughty snort and began to ascend.

"Ooh, I already can't wait!" Celeste squealed and if she could learn to turn into a dragon then maybe the baby dragon would trust her more? She would have to make sure to be home when the dragon was born, or else it might imprint on Gabriel or her parents. Celeste didn't want that, she wanted to raise the dragon herself, to be the first angel owner of a dragon in a very long time. Or at least, the first one that she knew of. "I wonder what I'm gonna name it..." Celeste trailed off in thought, although she had to see whether it was a girl or a boy first. "Skyla is just independent," Celeste decided. "She doesn't like being told what to do." Winona had been a good girl, thinking about her made Celeste a little bit sad. She had taken a liking to Celeste when Kitra still hated her and had been incredibly gentle when transporting the two girls to the battle field that fateful day. Her stomach sank, Celeste had some fault in the death of Winona and she would never forgive herself for letting such an innocent animal die.

"Papa was always faithful to Mama... I think partially because he might be a little bit afraid of her." Celeste giggled, "Papa said that when he first met Mama on the battle field, he knew it was instant. She kept denying him though, she didn't want to go out with him even though he basically ordered her to using the Prince's power." Celeste remembered this story well. "He would serenade her outside of her tent at night and she would throw things at him until he stopped. I think she finally said yes after he saved her from getting impaled by a sword." Celeste mused aloud, her smile was bright though. "That sounds just like Cambion... he's sloth, right?" Celeste had figured it out, that each demon child was from one of the seven sins. Sloth, greed, gluttony, pride, lust, wrath, and envy. The Angeal children weren't from anything like that, they were simply descendant of the original round table of angels, that was how they were seen as fit to rule.

Justice, faith, trust, hope, honesty, those were some of the values angels learned to uphold, especially so in the Angeal children if you didn't count Mizuki who for a while seemed as though she might be led astray and turn into a fallen. It was her parents who had set Mizuki straight after realizing she was going down a very dark road. Now Mizuki was out of the house, living somewhere in the universe. "It's okay, I didn't really expect to find Mizuki..." Celeste trailed off as they left the dragon nest and went into the throne room where Cambion seemed as though he would be falling asleep at any second. Celeste curtsied as he spoke towards her. "You're looking well Cambion, more awake than usual." She joked lightly, "I do hope we'll have time to catch up later." With that they headed back out to the dragons nest where Skyla was already waiting for them. Minerva shot Celeste another look, Celeste was trying to ignore it but she couldn't help but feel strange.

Before they left, Kitra stopped Minerva, making Minerva say something Celeste would have never expected. She blushed and looked down, wiggling. "It was um-I inherited the power from my Grandmother." It had been her Mother's mother. Her mother too, had a variant, but she could only change her clothes and weapons to match the situation. It was an amazing ability, a one of a kind. Her father too, had the ability to borrow anyone's ability. "Thank you Minerva, I hope we meet again soon." Minerva was heading out, Kitra was speaking of paying Maya back for what she had done. "I'm sure we'll set things straight." Celeste nodded and hopped onto Skyla's back, it was time to head out.

Each of the seven Vacivus children represented one of the sins. Ronove was prideful - he could be the one to always see the good in those he likes, furiously proud of those he approves of, but on the other hand, he was too stubborn, too stuck in his ways. Zepar was envy, she could see what others had and coveted it all, but it also meant she was always aware of her own flaws and shortcomings, and knew how to improve. Furfur was wrath, fiercely protective, but also a loose cannon when it came to the battlefield. Cambion was always tired, but also never argumentative, since he tended to take the path of least effort, he was a master of being efficient. Kitra was, well, Kitra, of course, greedy, possessive, controlling. Buer was gluttony - he loved to eat, and in eating, he knew how to enjoy the simpler things in life without needing anything large like the Throne. And lastly was Lilim, big on both bodily desire and on loving others.

It wasn't going to take them too long to get to where they were needed, and Skyla seemed determined to manage the new weight on her back from the transport supplies. "Your parents will have many romantic stories to come to share to their grandchildren!" Because they were definitely going to save Callisto, she would be healed, Lilim would be freed, and they could leave the Flowersea behind, a cursed place that disguised itself as a blessing. "Our love also was born strangely, wasn't it?" How many true loves could be based off of a kidnapping, anyways, right? "If later on you want kids, we'll have plenty of stories to tell!"

So Kitra leaned closer to Celeste, since Skyla had things under control as they flew closer and closer to where a battle was raging. They could see it from afar if they were watching. "Of course, we won't be able to tell them all our adventures, will we?" Kitra teased Celty in a somewhat sensual tone, hand brushing up her thigh subtly, gently. And that was when the demon suddenly realized what she just said, turning a very deep reddish hue. "N-n-not that we're definitely having kids, of course not, it's only when you're ready, you might even want to break up with-" There comes a time when the only correct response is to shut up, and this was going to be one of those times.

This was the Omega Island Extermination Operation. For too long they simply let the monsters stay there, but now that Satan was awake, they had to stop him and kill all the monsters of the island if they wanted to prevent Satan from making his army stronger and bigger. Already it was chaos, and each squad of demons rushing into the dense jungle of the island were armed with anti-monster gear, chains to try and lock the monsters down, gear to withstand their attacks. "We were here before, Celty, remember?" The spider queen grinned, letting Skyla fly to the island to meet at the Angel base. "Supplies are here, everyone, so fight hard!" Minerva was already out, according to the base captain General Minerva was at the direct front. "Thank you both, we'll handle the rest." And with the packages unstrapped from Skyla the dragon wiggled her wings, clearly preferring not flying with the extra weight.

Celeste blushed, Kitra's words, while probably true, made her feel... warm? The thought of being together with her for that long, to have kids with her... it made Celeste heat up even more. "Yeah, our love was definitely unconventional," Celeste agreed and braided a strand of her short hair to keep her hands busy. "How many can say that they fell in love with the girl that kidnapped them?" Having kids was never really something Celeste thought she wanted to, especially after nearly having to carry Thanos's child to term. Thank goodness it had been aborted, as horrible as it seemed, Celeste didn't think she would have been able to raise him/her. A child born out of violation, no they would not have had a good life. Gabriel and Raphael would have never approved of anything they did. In a way it was a little bit upsetting that her Father had done it without consulting her, but at the same time Celeste was relieved because she didn't think she would have ever been able to make that decision. Thank goodness Lilim wasn't pregnant, the thought made Celeste shudder.

"It's strange to think that two girls can have kids," Celeste said in a bit of an awed voice. Kitra drew close then and caressed Celeste's inner thigh. "K-Kitra, we-we're out in the-the open!" Celeste squeaked. Granted they were high in the air and surrounded by clouds, making it almost like they had a private room. Kitra then blushed, seemingly having realized what she said before about having children. "I'd like to have kids eventually, but not for a while." Celeste admitted and began braiding and unbraiding her hair again. "After what happened with Thanos, I'm a little bit scared." Celeste was very glad that he hadn't broken her seal as he was the last person that she would have ever wanted to stick that thing inside of her, the thought of it alone made her sick to her stomach. Even if it had made her sore on her backside, she still preferred it.

Omega Island had come into view, Skyla was beginning to descend. "I remember," Celeste nodded. Back when Michael was alive, when he had come to save her from Kitra's clutches and it turned out that Vallafar had her already. "I can't recall much of it though," which made sense considering Celeste had been catatonic after spending a week relieving her nightmares through hallucinogenic drugs. You could only push someone so far and after being tortured by Kitra and experimented on by Vallafar, Celeste had simply snapped like a rubber band that had been pulled too far. They touched down, Skyla landing gracefully on the sand. Celeste slid down off of her side and started unstrapping supplies to help out. "Mission accomplished," Celeste smiled once it was done, the packages had all been unpacked and were being handed out. A great roar came from the rain forest, the ground shaking.

"Maybe we should get out of here?" Celeste inquired and took a step back, her legs shaking a little. There were monsters in these parts, monsters that used to be demons. So many casualties of war and tragedy were here, trapped inside of their own heads. Celeste and Kitra both knew what that was like. The monster had stepped out onto the beach, its enormous footprints marked in the sand. "K-Kitra," Celeste stuttered breathlessly, tugging on Kitra's sleeve.

They were here at Omega Island, the front of the battling, where monsters were being exterminated before Satan could turn them to his army. Monsters alone were already strong, each one many times stronger than the average demon, so an army of monsters would definitely be terrifying to go against, especially if they were coordinated and could use strategies as well. Minerva's Dragon Knights seemed to be struggling as they fought in near silence. There was no need for them to really communicate their strategies with one another, though - Minerva's mind link was much more efficient. "Something bad like that won't ever happen again, Celty." Kitra said, though maybe she was saying it more for her sake than anything else. It still burned her to think of being so weak, she couldn't stop the most horrible thing from happening. Violation like that was worse than death, the worst kind of torture. "If you ever do want... kids one day, I'd be honored to help... make... urgh..." She fell silent again because everything was embarrassing.

"It's the former Spider Queen!" One soldier cried, pointing at them as they dropped off the supplies. The soldier took it and started distributing it, and other injured ones went to stare in awe. "And her cursed bride!" Okay, no, no, that wasn't cool at all. "Angel bri- angel girlfriend, idiots!" And that made a few of them laugh, remembering Kitra's explosive temper that could set off at any time. Once upon a time, they served under her, when Kitra was still young and training, watching her grow up from a weak girl to a frightening force to behold to someone who mastered mysterious forbidden magic. "We can't wait to fight with you again one day, Queen!" Okay, so maybe the former queen felt a little bit warm from hearing that. While Minerva was a great general, her powers weren't flashy and she usually lead from the rear. Kitra's lightning and monster forms were visually stunning, and she always fought right from the front. Minerva was better at strategy, Kitra was best at raising everyone's inspiration to fight.

And then there was a roar a great one. Minerva flew by on her dragon then from the frontline. "Good, you made it safely." The roar got louder and then one demon yelled at them to watch out, and way above them, a giant rock was being thrown through the air, falling right at the outpost Minerva's army had set up for the operation. The rock was huge and moving fast, it was going to destroy their Headquarters instantly. Just like hundreds of cogs in a giant fluid machine, the Dragon Knights assembed as per Minerva's mental orders, scattering with almost a beautiful sort of synchronicity. "We can handle things here, Kitra, Celeste, you two should start on your other mission now!"

"Yeah, let's get out of here." Kitra nodded, and that was all Skyla needed to fly up into the air as the rock crashed into the base. Soaring high up into the sky, Skyla flew away from Omega Island, forcing her way through the heavy stormwinds that made it difficult to get out in the first place. "The place we're supposed to be evacuating is close to where Satan's going to start his attacks, but it'd be dangerous to take them to the nearest city, the Greed Tribe's city." Kitra explained. "There's lots of injured sick children from the Rotting Plague - similar but different to your Light Disease angels have - so they're especially vulnerable." The spider queen lowered her head, feeling guilt broil up in her gut. "...Most of the adults were killed during the Thanos wars, so I have to ask. In Heaven, is there a place for the sick demon orphans to stay, away from this new war?"

"They really do love you don't they?" Celeste giggled. She didn't mind being called a cursed bride, especially since before it seemed true. Even now, to heal, they released something possibly unstoppable on the realms. Satan wasn't happy, he had come back with a vengeance and he was going to take it out on both Heaven and Hell. He had put Lilim in a terrible position, he was hurting so many people close to Celeste that it made her mad, a feeling she was still getting used to. The first time Celeste had really been mad and wasn't just throwing a tantrum was when she was faced with Kitra. Her parents and siblings had spoiled her out of pity when she was a kid, thinking that Celeste wouldn't achieve much aside from marrying a noble and having kids. Look where she was now, having battle experience and possibly having a future with a Queen. The thought made her stomach do happy flip flops. Celeste would prove to everyone that ever doubted her that she was worth more than marrying rich.

"You're a great leader and Queen I bet," Celeste stood on tip toe to give Kitra a peck on the cheek. There were plenty of oohs that came from soldiers, some judging each other. Celeste couldn't help but get into it. She loved Kitra, she wanted to show that Kitra was as much her's as she was Kitra's. There were people yelling, a voice echoed inside of her head that didn't belong. For a moment, ice plunged into her stomach as she thought that the voices had come back, that going to the Flowersea hadn't worked. She calmed once she realized that it was only Minerva, that she was yelling out orders in her mind of battle plans and a formation. A giant rock sailed through the sky, it was time to get out of there. Minerva's yelling was unneeded, the two girls scaling Skyla's side and letting her take off. Celeste loved the feeling of being high up in the air, she stretched her wings so that they could at least catch a bit of air.

Omega Island's winds were raging hard against them, Celeste tucked her wings back in so as not to be carried back to where the monster attack was happening. Minerva's voice faded from her head, it was a relief to not have someone in there any longer. "I might know a place," Celeste said in thought. "I need to get in contact with Finn." Celeste lay her head on Kitra's lap. She closed her eyes, trying to will herself to sleep. Unfortunately, no matter what she tried, Celeste could not get drowsy and she sat up a few minutes later and shook her head. "It didn't work," Celeste sighed. "There's a city, Valhalla, a few years ago there was a strange epidemic and everyone under the age of thirteen suddenly died." Hopefully Kitra saw where Celeste was going with this.

"They evacuated the city, for a year no one could go in, but they finally found the cause and it's safe there to live now. There are a lot of older couples whose children died, they'd be happy to take others in." Sick or not, angels always lent a hand to those in need. Since they were now on speaking terms with the demons, they would be willing to help.

Well, of course her soldiers loved her. When Hell was in it's darkest moments, when even Queen Zepar was dead and the mighty Princess Furfur had died and the beloved gourmet Buer too, many people in Hell thought that it was over, that they wouldn't live to see Hell become powerful ever again. "They put their trust in me to make Hell strong after that horrible night, and they were willing to follow me when I declared war on Heaven after rearranging everything." If they didn't love her, none of that would have been possible. A somewhat awkward smile came on her face. "Some of them see me as the army's daughter, actually, especially the demons from Dad's old special units." Then Celty kissed her right then and there to everyone's delight, giving the soldiers more inspiration to fight. "Our little girl's grown up, Abe." One said in a silly almost crying voice and his friend, Abe, just patted him on the head. This fun and laughter wouldn't last forever though, they had to go, and so they went.

"Next time warn me first." The spider queen's face was still red from being kissed in front of everyone. For their teasing game, maybe it was safe to say Celty won that round. Kitra couldn't have continued the game if she wanted to keep her composure in front of everyone. "Cheater, you knew exactly what you were doing." But now they were high up and out of sight so once they were out of the harsh stormwinds, the former Queen spun and took both of Celeste's mounds in her hands, the perfect size to squish, making sure to specifically touch at the little nubs in the middle. "So soft, what idiot likes big boobs when these are perfection, hmm?"

Free of Omega Island, the two girls were now enroute to the eastern regions of Hell, close to the Greed Province of Hell. It was the one that bordered with the neutral area, where the Fallen liked to roam, and so walls were built many years ago. Attempts to rebuild those walls failed when Thanos took over Hell, and the tiny patches of grass that had started to grow simply stopped because of that disgusting monster. "Alright, good luck." Kitra said and went back to focusing on the flight until Celeste failed to fall asleep. She then described Valhalla, an angel city, a sanctuary for the orphaned demon children. "And maybe the angels of Valhalla would then push for Zadkiel to help fund a treatment for the Rotting Plague, since Hell's medical science is... admittedly many years behind that of Heaven." It was the unfortunate truth, but once peace was attained, it could be resolved. "That sounds like a good idea, we'll escort the children there."

Once they reached the specific village they had to evacuate, a very, very bad sight was seen. Fallen Angels were on the streets, and they were doing many horrible disgusting things to any child they could get their hands on. "With the Demon Army occupied, we can take slaves without worry!" The leader of them barked as a little girl cried as she was tied up and loaded into a cart. "Grab all the girls you can, men! We gotta-" His words were interrupted by a dragon landing right beside him, a ten limbed girl launching herself at him with fury and deadly intent. "Celeste, gather the children! I'll fight off anyone that tries to get close!" Hell was falling into chaos and disorder with Satan ruining the already fragile balance of the war torn land.

Celeste stuck her tongue out, no, she did not plan that, she had no idea what she was doing but she was going to pretend like she did. At least until Kitra grabbed her chest and squeezed. Thank goodness there was no one else up here, although Skyla let out a huff of approval at what Kitra was doing. Celeste let out a soft moan, a sound that made her blush more. It felt like that every time she was with Kitra her cheeks were permanently colored pink. "I think you're the one that knows what you're doing," Celeste said, pulling her dress back up. Skyla seemed to nod to that too, the two girls agreeing that Kitra knew what she was doing more so than she let on. Had she been in past relationships before? Celeste couldn't help but wonder. She felt a very odd emotion then, jealousy. Jealousy at any other girl or guy who had been with Kitra before her, not that Celeste knew if there actually was one. It could have been Minerva, that would explain a lot, or someone else from the army.

Unfortunately, forcing herself to try and fall asleep was not working, so Celeste sat up and rubbed her eyes to allow them to adjust to the light. Celeste listened to Kitra speak and nodded, "They'd be willing to take them, it might take a few years to find a cure though, they're still working on light disease, right now it's priority." As time went on, more angels seemed to be contracting it, no one knew what it was causing. "They can probably give them stuff to slow it down though and at least make them comfortable." Celeste had gone back to braiding her hair, she couldn't wait for it to be long again, although her head did feel lighter without all of the hair to weigh her down. "I hope they'll like it," Heaven had a lot to offer, rivers, grass, trees, streams, animals both big and small.

They landed and Celeste instantly felt sick to her stomach. What was happening? Why were the fallen here? Celeste began to round children up just as Kitra had asked when she was grabbed from behind. "Don't touch me!" Celeste tried to rip herself away. She recognized this fallen, the doctor that had done all of those examinations on her. "What do we have here? Do mine eyes deceive me or has this Princess risen from the dead?" Celeste wasn't sure what she was doing, it was almost an instant reaction. Suddenly her hands were claws, her red eyes turned to golden slits. Blood covered her hands and Celeste was panting as children cheered while the body of the doctors dropped. "C-come on," Celeste turned back to them, blinking a few times to get her eyes back to normal. Her heart felt as though it would beat out of her chest it was thrumming so fast.

Celeste went up the steps of the cart that was taking young girls away, she fumbled with ropes to untie them, one by one they jumped out and flocked around Skyla. "Please get onto the dragon, we're gonna evacuate!" Skyla was none too happy about this, no the dragon seemed to dislike all of the children that were happily clambering on.
