a character in “Tale of Six Kings”, as played by Roku Mushabuki

Description

Who are you?: I am Godking Brubahmah of the Sacrin Empire. Jahied Karsu without title, the 6th Emperor of the Sacrin Empire. I have no aethling that has yet proven himself to be worthy as my heir. Popular among the people I have added land to the Empire in a dozens of different wars with many barbaric mountain and desert tribes. Now I am pressured to continue my conquest. To my knowledge there may be more cities beyond the vast deserts of Essos but none beyond that. My empire will reach the other side of the continent before my time is done. That I know.

Who do you pledge yourself to?: Myself. I am a God after all as was my fathers before me. My soul is the empire, my mind it's military, and my ambitions it's future. All serve me in my lands. My aethlings kill each other by the dozens to be even considered eligle as an heir. For only the best can become a God that will rule the world. The Sacrin Empire does not ask for anything, it takes what it wants.

Where are you from?: The Sacrin Empire. A kingdom to the far east of Essos that dominates the spice and precious metal trade. Dozens of precious mines scatter the land, making the Empire wealthy. It started off as the city of Sacri, a lone militeristic city state, that set out for conquest. Through many aliances and wars it became the kingdom it is now. The land is vast with many different terrains. Forest, desert, grssland, and mountains cover the empire. Those who the Empire conquers become either soldiers or slaves for Sacrin's for we are the only true civilization in the world. Five major cities and two colonies make up the Empire as well as many smaller cities, towns, and villages.

Sacri: The capital of the empire. 1,520,000 live in the city and provides the majority the military population. It gains its water from wells located all over the city and food is shipped in from Laocourse. This is where the Imperial palace and court are located. Aquaduct line through the city, graineries scatter the city, and the city has a seward system. It is walled off by a 20 foot stone wall with a large oak gate.

Loacourse: The farming settlement of the empire that own the most fertile feilds in the land. To the southe-east edge of the empire it has a population of 50,600 and the economy is built entirely around agriculture. Most of the food in the empire comes from this region. The buildings are made from clay bricks and hay. The town is not walled.

Tika: A mining city that owns 3 silver mines/1 gold. It has a population of roughly 420,000. It was the first city to fall to Sacrins and is located to the south-west of the empire. The buildings are made of stone and are built into the mountains. It is walled off by a 12 foot tall stone wall.

Vini: The service cattle raising town of 200,300 people. They breed the pack animals. Camels, horses, asses, and elephants are bred. As such the smell of the city is horendous but the people are just as filthy. The town is not walled off.

Fikeed: The city owns the most lucrative iron mines in the kindom and have 280,000 people in the city. They smith the majority of the armor for the empire's vast armies. It has one of the largest slave poulation in the empire with the exception of Sacri. The slaves there usually live to only 25 on average from working the mines, sometimes 30 if they're smithing.

Senis: A direct colony of Sacri, it is to the west, and is there solely to secure a trade route to the western side of Essos. It has a population of 100,100 and is walled off. Built by the trade route it provides water/food to those who pass through. It has palisade walls.

Sudai: Another colony of Sacri, the farthest west of the empire. Sacri is looking to expand it's borders to the western sea which is where the merchants who come through are rumored to be from. This colony is made of 200,640 people that tend to those who pass by. Recently mostly to military. It has palisade walls.

As well as many conquered lands that have been added to the Sacrin Empire.

Bloodline: I am from the line of Mohammed Karsu, the founder of the Sacrin Empire. Godking Delaw in title. He had united all the cities into one nation in the spam of 60 years. Jahied is the 6th Godking.

Age: I am 38

Description: Jahied is a tall slender man standing at 6'2'' weighing 190lb. He has a tan skin tone and a hooked nose as do many Sacrins. He has a sharp hissed voice and it practicly resonates with authority.

Pesonality: As all Godkings are, Jahied is ruthless, cunning, backstabbing, arrogant, prideful, and overly ambitious. He founded two colonies as to expand his empire. He is heavly militaristic, solving nearly every problem with harsh force. He is however kind to his subjects who provide a type of use. While he may kill a peasant simply for passing by him without bowing he is much more leniate towards the nobles of the empire.

History: Born a normal aethling, but completed his bahrlahala first so became the first heir. He did this by creating a guild that eventually took over all other guilds in Sacri, creating one giant monopoly that would be handed over to the current Godking. At this he had his more ambitous siblings killed (16 of 143) through various assassinations paid out of his own pocket. On his 18th birthday he became Godking Brubahmah and had the rest of his 127 siblings executed. At that he had established himself as the sole ruler of the Sacrin Empire.

A rebellion came from the mountains after a year as Godking. He responded by crushing it, literly butchering the captured to pieces, and burying the flesh in infertile farmland. The empire knew he was the God his father had chosen after that massacre. After that he spawned tens of aethlings as his fathers have done before him and had them compete for the throne. Two had succeeded their bahrlahala and become heirs to the throne. One is economcally savy, the other military genius. Jahied was vastly proud of his two sons though still wants an heir who knows both sides to ruling an empire.

His time has most recently been consumed with the dream of exploration. Expansion had once been limited due to the desert but now the empire had two colonies that could supply armies and travelers that passed through the desert. Jahied had also been increasing the size of the navy. Sending out ships to explore the oceans and map the coasts. Now his scouts had confirmed that across the desert were cities of wealth. The time of peaceful rule was over, now was an age of expansion and war.

So begins...

The camp was set up four miles outside the city of Qohor. Brubahmah was inside a large tent located in the host's camp. He had just sent three messengers to the city to compromise with the city leaders and speak of their possible surrender. They were to bring one hundred Karsus in a golden chest to persuade them to join the Sacrin Empire as well as the threat of invasion. The messenger would tell the rulers of the city that the Sacrin army was of three thousand men, even though it was made of eight thousand.

Now Brubahmah was speaking to his generals about the possible siege. The slaves in the camp were to prepare the trebuchets once they were on the battlefield five hundred yards away. The trebuchets would tear down the defenses so that the infantry could invade with greater safety. There were four trebuchets for use with fifty shots between them all. He rose from his seat, looking at the table of generals in front of him. "Prepare to move the army. I want camp to be set up within sight of the city. If they refuse to surrender order the Barlacorlims to ride to Qohor's outskirts and and capture any people unguarded as slaves. They shoot any who resist." The generals immediately left to obey his orders.

Brubahmah climbed up onto his camel. The beast was that of the finest breed, worth at least ten slaves in value. He stared at the tents around him as they were swiftly taken down by the slaves that were taken with the army. Soon Qohor would see a mighty army outside their walls. Perhaps they would listen to reason and join the Sacrin Empire by choice. Maybe the city could only be taken by force. Only the reports from the messangers would tell him what the choice would be.

Brubahmah walked was drinking water with the ruler of Qohor in a tent outside the city. He was espcially pleased because a messenger from a small army he sent to Volantis had reported that the city had peacefully joined the Sacrin Empire. Those slave would be vital for the conquest. Perhaps the Volantians saw the profit to be made from being part of an empire that was so consistent in the slave trade. At the moment he was discussing terms of duty to the Qohoran ruler while the army packed up to continue to march ahead to Norvos.

The details included the enlistment of soldiers, the dealings with taxes, new legal rights, ect. He commanded that all begars/homeless in the city be enslaved and that all who lived in the prison be enslaved as well. The slaves were to work the lumber mills for the glorious Sacrin Empire. Of course all the lumber would be paid for, filling silver into the pockets of Qohor. The Qohoran ruler left to his city with forty soldiers where he would command his own soldiers to patrol the city with a Sacrin as an officer. Qohor was only one of many kingdoms whom have entered the Sacrin Empire for the constant flow of wealth into their cities.

The Sacrin army was on the march. If there was anything that they would known for it was the speed in which the Empire could relay soldiers. They would arrive at the city of Norvas in a weeks time. The map given to Brubahmah showed a land beyond these. A land of winter and ice. This intrigued the Godking but that would have to wait. Soon another free city of Essos would fall under the might of the Sacrin Empire.

A messenger team had met up with Brubahmah's own forces to tell him that the main army was closing in on Pentos and needed it's commander to ride with them. The Godking was suprised his forces traveled so swiftly though they must have not bothered with any seiging like he had done. The host of the Sacrin Empire was on the move. He knew that once Pentos fell he would have an access to the city's navy. That would increase the movement of his forces ten fold, moving even through the river lines to fetch wood from Qohor.

The army was large, perhaps the largest on the continent. Containing mostly of conscripts the host formed a number of three hundred thousand men. The weather was cooler so as such they resupplied the armours. Chainmail, scale plate, leather, chainshirts, shields, and haevier armours were given out to the troops as well as some heavier weapons too. It took many beasts to haul the supplies of such an army. Tens of thousands. The cavalry was emense too. Combined with his guard it was totaled to be twelve thousand. One hundred thousand soldiers have been cut off from the host to conquer outlying cities like Myr, Norvos, and Braavos. The main forces finally met the walls of Pentos. In an hour they would send a diplomat guarded by two Unsullied to reason with the ruler.

***

The diplomat of the Sacrin Empire was named Acri and that of Pentos was Lumair. They had a heated debate inbetween the two forces in a tent that had been proped up for shade. Lumair didn't even like the idea of the Sacrins, who have already unpacked their seige eqippment, ruling the city. After further discussion Lumair declared that the city would never be taken unless by force. "So be it." Acri whispered.

***

The Sacrin army met the Pentonian army on the fields. It was pretty straight forward. The infantry duked it out and the Sacrins swarmed from all sides. The Sacrin cavalry/anti-cavalry met with the Pentonian cavalry. The battle ended when a Sacrin cavalry charge of four thousand smashed through the Pentonian lines. it was a blood bath. By the end of the battle Brubahmah's advisors claimed the estimated the Sacrin army to have lost twenty five thousand and Pentos losing nearly all except for those who surrendered at the last minute. One thousand, five hundred men were now prisoner and the Sacrin army had been battering storming the now seiged walls with towers and were aiming to open the gate. The seige would take perhaps another thousand but it didn't matter. The Sacrin army still had roughly two hundred and seventy four thousand left. Pentos was now his.
