Adenah's head was hurting like crazy, but at least it didn't feel like the earth was spinning anymore. She was sneaking around the castle trying to find her daggers and her bag, when suddenly she heard yelling and something being knocked over from one of the stairs leading down to the dungeons.

"Ezreal can't you please come with me?" A girl was talking, but Adenah wasn't able to see her from her hiding spot behind one of the giant columns in the hall. "You'll get hurt."

Her inner thief immediately took over and she began to sneak over towards the stairs. Maybe the person had some kind of weapon Adenah could "borrow". She didn't like how vulnerable she felt without her daggers, all she got was the tiny knife in her boot. The person speaking didn't seem like a threat at all. Besides, she would really need something to protect herself with if she wanted to get away alive.

Adenah reached the stairs and glanced down. A girl was standing with a bow and some arrows at the end of the stairs. Adenah was just about to run down and jerk it away from her when she realised the girl was dressed in the Kingdom of Frost's clothes. Another man from the frost kingdom was also down there. Adenah didn't notice the prince of fire who was crawling on the ground. So that's the reason I'm not dead yet! Adenah thought and started laughing. Those two icy morons were the reason she was alive! "You've got to be kidding me!" she bursted without caring that they saw her. No way she was going to be caught when they had two ice people at the castle! All the attention had been at them, that's why she could almost just walk around the castle without anyone caring. She suddenly felt all confident again and she started laughing. Somehow she just always managed not to get killed and it felt great. "God simply just loves me, huh?" she said and placed her hands on her hips. The little fear she had felt only minutes ago was gone, but that was probably because she hadn't noticed the prince on the floor.

Annabeth looked at the guard with a funny look on her face. She was confused on why he was being so nice, especially since he Was after all a guard of the Inferno king.

He soon brought her to a room that didn't look like the dungeon at all. It made her confused, why would he bring her to another place besides the dungeon? Did he not care that she was from the Ice kingdom? He sat her in a chair and started to pat her down taking all of her hidden weapons. She was starting to feel like she was being examined not just her weapons. She squirmed a bit, but then felt that he was avoiding to touch in inappropriately.

She smiled softly at his attempts and then stop as he helped himself to untying the laces that held on her armor. Staring at the man, he said, "There, that's probably more comfortable for you." She gave him a confused smile and said, "Yes sir, thank you."

He talked to her as he untied her bonds on her wrists. Why would he do this for her? "So what brings you so far from home? I know it takes a lot for someone to offer up their own bodie in pexchange of some else." She started giggling at his defense on how he hadnt boughten her here to take advantage of her. "it's ok." she replied giggling and smiling soft,y at him.

He lead her over to a couch and as he sat down she slid in closer to him. "It's a dear friend of mine. I can't let her be here."

He told her how he hated to see people suffer and she smiled a soft sweet smile at him. "well I think that is sweet that you care so much about people thAt you'd bother to take an ice guard into your bedroom and care for her." She looked at him, she felt pain admitting it but she was starting to trust him a bit. "I am in your debt, er, Sir....?" She looked at him confused on what to call him.

He blinked as the woman slid closer to him, and a faint blush arose on his cheeks for it. "Not that I mind...but why do you want to sit so close to me? I'm the Praetorian Guard for the nobility." Ezekiel stated calmly, waiting for the usual reaction he got from his station. It wasn't a secret what being a Praetor meant; having to possess unparallelled ability in combat, and in his case the possession of the White Fire. Once she called his actions sweet, he smiled and gave her a one-armed hug, choosing not to let go in case she needed the protection from the heat that being near him would bring.

"Oh! I'm sorry, my name is Ezekiel Soren Wyld." He gave her a small smile before resting against her a little more. It was obvious the day had worn him out, and he was rather comfortable. "A friend huh?" He commented to himself after getting comfortable. He wondered if it was the princess she was speaking of, which then made him wonder about her homeland. He was getting rather disillusioned with his homeland, and he didn't like the way that the rulers were leading. Ezekiel sighed before looking at his beautiful companion.

"Anna, what is your King and Queen's perspective on the war? Are they as cruel there as the ruler's are here?" His tone was soft, meek even as he asked, his arm unconciously pulling her closer as he did. His silver gaze seemed far away as they focused on the far corner, like he was lost in deep thought even as he asked. The proof of this was the hand that had come to rest against her leg and his own, gently making small circles as he thought. Once he realized just what he was doing, however, he snatched his hands away and moved back some. "I'm sorry..."

"Oh, um I'm sorry. I didn't even know I had." She said, but as she was about to move away she saw and felt a big strong arm, wrap around her body and pull her up against him. She smiled up at him as he squeezed her shoulders in a little hug.

"Ezekiel huh? We don't names like that in the Ice Kingdom. I like it...its different." She smiled and felt Ezekiel lean against her. She thought about how they had come to be like this. She wondered again why he wasn't the horrible stereotype of the fire guards that she had met before, the ones who were greedy and evil men, who brought the frost people they had caught straight to the dungeons. But she thought back to how calmly Ezekiel was when he took her.

She was thinking hard when a question that sparked such surprise to be uttered from the lips of a Flame Guard. "Well, like all great rulers, they are strict on rules and care greatly about their people. They don't like fighting or violence much, and this war between the Ice and the Flames has risen to such great rates that they are forced to put their soldiers in the line of danger to protect their peacefulness of their kingdom. They care about their people more than anything, and do what they believe is only in the best interest of them. They think highly of honor as well." She looked up at him and shrugged. "Nothing much but its home and I live to serve my King and Queen." She smiled softly at Ezekiel.

Annabeth was talking about the Ice Royalty and hadn't noticed that Ezekiel's hand slipped between her and his own leg and was drawing small circles on her leg, which surprisingly felt like a good sensation. He suddenly noticed his actions and quickly apologizing, and obviously feeling guilty about it he looked down.

Anna didn't like seeing people sad and reached over and drew small circles on his strong chest and giggled. "Don't be, I like it." She looked at him and smiled reassuringly.

Ulmo rolled with the momentum from the chair and slid into a crouched position. "Roll with the punches kid. Lesson one." His adoptive father's voice rang out in his head, the advice no doubt, life saving in more than just this situation. Slowly he stood, a grin on his face."How very noble of you. If you ever want to die, be sure to come back, I'll give you a more than worthy ceremony." He taunted. The room erupted into flames, a heat which was so intense, Ulmo's metal plated clothes started glowing red hot. The flames were a blanket of camouflage for Ulmo as he disappeared into them. A moment later, he had crossed the room with a chuckle. "I always do enjoy this part." He said as he loosed a bolt into Ezreal's foot and another into his shoulder. They steel rods were hot enough to close the wounds as the tips puncture the skin, but it would have to be removed with a very painful surgery to be taken out right. "Now then, don't move. I'll send some men down to send you home when I'm done." He turned to Hayley, the flames between them parting. Through the roar of the flames, he let only a few words be heard. "Run Hayley. While you can." The maniacal light had disappeared from his eyes and now they sat almost as cold and lifeless as the stone that made up the castle's walls. He could almost hear his father's voice in his head."What in the hell were you thinking, letting her run like that? Are you insane boy? There's our bargaining chip out the door!" No. No he was leaving. He didn't want to be some power hungry fool. He put on the show he had and that would buy him enough time to get out. Zeke could fabricate a story. After all he had known Ulmo wanted to leave... hadn't he? It didn't matter now. The plan was in motion.

Ezreal fell onto his knees in agony. He hated the heat and now it felt like his body was on fire and he couldn't move. "Go!" he screamed to the princess "he is way too powerful for me to handle, ill only be able to last for a couple of seconds." he said knowing what he had to do, his family had a secret ice power passed down generation by generation. The only problem with this move was that there was a 90 percent chance of death if used. Ezreal could not see any other option at the moment. The princess had to be saved and he was the only one there to do it.

Ezreal gathered up all his strength and unleashed his move. Suddenly the rods broke and Ezreal floated in the air, Angel wings made of ice grew out of his back and his eyes turned white. He opened his mouth and all of a sudden hundreds of small ice needles shout out at Ulmo with a flap of his ice wings. after the needles came out the wings shattered and Ezreal fell onto the floor with a loud thump. He managed to mumble "run princess." before he completely blacked out.

"Ezreal!" Hayley screamed shocked as Ulmo stabbed Ezreal. He had saved her from the Fire kingdom and Inferno King, she couldn't just let him die. She took a step down the stairs when the flames suddenly parted and Ulmo was in the middle in front of Ezreal. " "Run Hayley. While you can." She cocked her head to the side at his plead to her. Why would he just all of a sudden let her go like that? She was the Princess of Snow...Did he know how much trouble he'd be in...probably a death penalty even for a Prince like himself.

Hayley stepped off of the stairs and stood defiantly in front of Ulmo, just two meters in fact. Nothing was going to stop her from getting to Ezreal. Her eyes glowed an eerie pure white, it looked unnatural and almost painful for the spectator seeing her in this state. It was a state of being that meant she was enraged. She lifted her arms up and sent frost and ice out of her hands, extinguishing all of the flames in the room and replacing it with snow piles and ice and frost. She felt her eyes turn back to their normal electric blue shade and then she felt all her anger out of her. She made her way to Ezreal, shoved Ulmo aside as she manipulated the snow under Ezreal and lifting him up to her chest, he now being atop an enormous pile of snow. She moved her bow to rest only on her left shoulder as she lifted Ezreal's arms over and around her neck. She half carried, half dragged him past Ulmo and to the stairs.

"You coming Ulmo?" She asked glancing back at him. It's almost as if she read his mind, since the only logical explanation for letting her go free was that Ulmo planned on leaving his own Kingdom.

Adenah finally realized what was happening in front of her. She hated people from the Kingdom of Frost and even more did she hate the Kingdom of Fire's prince and king. But it was obvious that the people in front of her needed to escape just as much as herself. She didn't understand Ulmo's or the girls actions at all, but she quickly decided to take advantage of them. No way she would get out alone and without weapons. A torch was hanging on the wall close to Adenah. She focused on it with her eyes and made a gesture with her hand down towards the ice girl carrying the other male. The flame from the torch quickly shot down and set fire to the first couple of steps of the wood staircase. "Wait a second frosty," Adenah said without knowing that the girl was Princess Winterhold. "Don't tell me that you were actually planning to leave without me?" She shot down some more flames from another torch. "How mean!"

Aksel Dagon

Aksel who up until now had been too preoccupied to do so finally found the time to drop by the dungeons, as the eldest son it was imperative that he never slacked in his training for any reason if he was to one day challenge his father for the throne, he knew now was far too soon for the Inferno King's power was still far greater than his. By the time he reached the door to the chamber which the ice princess was said to have been held prisoner he knew immediately that something was amiss, when he touched the handle it was ice cold as if the room behind the door had been turned into a meat locker ' Oh Ulmo, don't tell me that with all that power you managed to be overcome by a woman on your own homeland ' he thought to himself, he was somewhat not surprised by it seeing as most of his combat training happened under the tutelage of average soldiers while he himself had been training from birth to wield his power as a master would. Before opening the door he held his arms out in front of him with his palms down, with a large intake of breath he brought his hands palms in towards over stomach and exhaled slowly as he slowly brought his palms up until they were at his chest pointed up to his chin. He could feel the flames within building in his chest and his whole body began to heat up, he was now prepared for the possible confrontation that waited for him beyond the door, he turned the handle and pushed in the door to find the prisoner princess and the base of the stairs dragging a seemingly lifeless body while Ulmo mealy stood there.

The whole room was filled with snow which probably meant he had been defeated, perhaps he was too weak now to stop her ' foolish younger brother ' he thought, to be defeated even while he held all the cards, her head was tearned towards Ulmo so he was just about to announce himself and the fact that her attempts at escape were at an end, that is until he heard her say the words "You coming Ulmo?" He almost laughed, was she attempting to take him prisoner now, it was an amusing thought until he saw the look on Ulmo's face ' Wait, he's not at all injured, how did she.." and in that moment it all clicked, she hadn't forced her way out at all, he was allowing her to escape! Rage began to build in him but he knew better than to go immediately on the offensive seeing as if he was correct it would be two against one, he had the high ground and the entrance blocked off so he had at least that advantage.

" I had heard father trusted you to keep our bargaining chip well in her place, do not tell me you are betraying that trust brother " He said through clenched teeth, his fist clenched as their necks snapped in surprise, though his expression was a facade of calmness his body language alone made would make it all too clear that he was ready to ready to leave her and his "brother' as shriveled black corpses.

Fantastic. "Make it look good Ulmo, that was the plan. Well there goes the plan." That nagging voice in the back of his head just wouldn't give him a break today. "There's never been any trust brother. The most we could hope for is a spot in the hierarchy when the king's dead." He grinned, a cocky half smile that reaffirmed the title he'd been granted since the day he stepped into the palace, the wildcard son. "It's painfully obvious to me now that you're just to blind to see it." He loosed a large ring of fire, just above their heads that started the walls of the chamber into ruin, stone and steel crumbling from their very foundations. the room was coming down around them, a less elegant plan than he had wanted, but Ulmo took it. "As much as you've trained and as hard as you try, you still can't beat me. War brings out a feral side to everything. A rush that you never forget. But it changes you. I hope for your sake, Askel, that you never have to experience it." With those last words, Ulmo's right hand shot to the ceiling, a wreath of flame incinerating the ceiling and causing a massive hole in the floor of the court. His left loosed a wall of flame at Askel, an uncontrollable blaze meant merely to buy him time. As the blaze rushed forward, he grabbed Hayley's arm, super-heated the area below them, and used the pressure to launch them through the hole. "Run girl!" He yelled at Hayley, draping Ezreal's other arm over his shoulders and helping her carry him.

Hayley ran through the woods. She looked over her shoulder and saw them chasing after her. She ran panting as she dodged left to right from the oncoming trees in her path. She turned around and lifted her hadn which was surrounded by frosty air falling off of it and pointed it at her target. She released an icicle, slicing through the wind, and finding it's way into the neck of one of the Inferno King's bounty hunters. "One down four more to go." She said to herself as she whipped around a massive, moss covered tree. She heard the huntsmen yelling absurd and stupid things at her. They were treating this hunt like it was the ultimate game and she was the ultimate prize. She jumped over a log and grabbed an arrow that was shot in front of her and had missed (thankfully). She turned around threw it back at her assailants. It poked a huntsmen in the stomach but made no lasting effect on him.

Hayley turned back around running forwards again. The hunters were trained for this moment, the moment where their prey was just at the ends of their fingertips. But the thing that struck her was they were moving to different sides of her and she couldn't put her finger on why they were wasting the energy of moving to different sides of her instead of just running at her straight from behind.

she came up to a river and stopped for a moment and decided to take a risky and threatening looking covered bridge. She got half way and glanced back, but immediately stopped as she saw the huntsmen stop chasing her. They smirked and laughed at her menacingly. She gave them a confused look and turned back around. Suddenly, a big man that towered over her grabbed her into a big bear hug and threw her to the ground. She screamed when her head made contact with the hard wooden planks of the bridge. She clutched her head as a man grabbed her hair and yanked, dragging her into the middle of the bridge. Another man came out and tied her wrists behind her back, then tied down her arms wrapping the rope around her torso. He tied her legs together and connected a rope from her ankles to her wrists, hogtying her. He sat her up on her knees and held her by her hair.
"Well well, if it isn't the famous, Daughter of the King of Frost. Miss Winterhold I presume? Don't worry, you'll fetch us a good price with the Inferno King, or perhaps we might just keep whats ours, you'll provide exceptional entertainment won't you." The leader of the party said spitting in her face. She hated these men, not just because they were working for the Inferno King, but because of how they treated people. She knew they were arrogant, selfish, and power driven. She disliked people like that.

She closed her eyes as the mans disgusting spit slid down her cheek. She opened her eyes glaring at him with hatred and blow cold frost into his eyes. He stumbled back rubbing at his eyes, Hayley watching him with a smirk and saying, "What's wrong with your eyes sir?" She looked at him with innocent big blue eyes and made a pouting lip to be convincing. This didn't stop the man from hitting her hard across the face. She let out a shriek of pain as a ring on his finger cut her cheek. She clenched her teeth and closed her eyes as the man grabbed her hair and pulled her to his face as he screamed, "I hope he burns your eyes out of their sockets then throws you into the firey pits of hell!" She shuddered and was now a bit scared realizing the predicament she was now in. She couldn't do much more without her weapons and now ability to use her power, after they wrapped a strip of clothing around her mouth.

One man picked her up and put her over his shoulder. Hayley struggled and squirmed screaming through the gag the whole way as the, now, party of 7 men walked in the direction of her nightmare. The Kingdom of Fire.

"Your Highness, Lord Anthony!" Anthony's arm twitched as he heard one of his attendants call for him. The crossbow's bolt flew well above it's intended target and severed the rope that suspended the wooden circle in the air. "Ugh damn it. And what's worse, it's Ulmo." He hated the name he had been given when he came here. "Much more kingly it is boy." He mocked his father's voice quietly. Folding the steel limbs of the crossbow and its stock, he turned to his attendant. "Yes what is it this time? Something important I hope, I'm tired of the mundane affairs my father lays out for me." The crossbow fit into it's case on his back and it snapped shut. "Extremely important sir! Some hunters have captured the Winterhold daughter! They request an audience with the king but seeing as how he's busy, you're the next in charge." Anthony's eyes widened when he heard the news. The Cold's queen in training. Oh this was promising. He pushed his way past his attendant and off the rooftop range, back into the depths of the castle.

In the foyer of the castle stood seven men and a girl in bonds with them. "Well this is her is it? Not much, I'll be perfectly frank," He grabbed Hayley's jaw and twisted her head to each side, as if inspecting a piece of meat for something that didn't look right. "But let's take a look see hmm?" He undid the gag around her mouth, a sly smile crossing his face. He had heard the stories, and with his own abilities in play, he knew that she would use her control of ice to try and get free. He was prepared though, his own grin smoking from it's peaks. "Come on Winterhold. Show me what you can do." He whispered to her as licks of flame quickly slithered out from behind his teeth and disappeared.

Hayley struggled as much as she coud in her bonds against the men, but it was near to nothing as she was overpowered by them all. She heard someone running and then the prince appeared. She watched him curiously and anxiously. She didn't know what to expect from him, and she wasn't going to lie to herself in the fact that she felt a bit intimidated and frightened by him. She tried to keep a straight face and watched him approach her. When he gripped her face and examined her she felt his hands and how unnaturally warm they were. She didn't like how he kept looking at her, like she was some prize or piece of meat.

Hayley was suddenly released of her bonds and Ulmo was telling her to attack him. Even though she wanted to take off running, there was no way of her escaping now, especially since the heat and the fire powers radiating off of everyone around were getting absorbed into her skin, making her more and more exhausted and weak. She was pushed quite forcefully on the back by one of the guards and she fell forward on her hands and knees. She looked up at Ulmo and saw sparks of fire coming out of his mouth. She pushed herself up weakly and slowly took a few steps forward, until she stood across from him. Hayley felt a bit insecure and frightened now, knowing that she would get hurt if she tried to fight Ulmo.

"Lord Ulmo, why do you wish to fight me?" She asked him curiously. She walked closer to him and smiles slightly in a very innocnet way. She examined his body looking up and down from in front of him, in a sort of shy way. "Please Prince Ulmo I wish not to fight..." She said shyly as she made herself seem smaller than him.

Ulmo's arm ignited, not moments after Hayley's frost breath reached his arm. Shooting a grin over his shoulder, he waved off the hunters who left reluctantly. They may have been dumb, but they knew better than to interfere with their prince's affairs. "Lord Ulmo, why do you wish to fight me?" He turned to face the girl, his eyes glowing with a dim light. "Why to see what you're capable of. Why would I want someone who can't hold their own in my care?" He asked rhetorically. "What good would a wet-behind-the-ears, child serve me in my plans?" Lazily, Ulmo drew his sword. "Just a test. I'll even cool the temperature for you." With a flick of his hand, most of the heat in the room dispelled. The air cooled rapidly, from the heat of a blistering summer day to a cool, spring morning. "You see, I've quite the plan. One that you're needed for, obviously, or I would have dumped you in a pit and been done with it." He tossed her a sword, the metal landing and skidding to a stop at her feet. Flames licked at the corners of his mouth as he waited for Hayley to pick it up. "So I will say again Winterhold," Now, the flames that poked from the corners of his mouth made his throat seem a raging inferno. "Show me. What. You're made of."

Hayley looked t the sword that ulmo slid her way. She had never used a sword before, she didn't know what ulmo's plan for her was but she knew she wouldn't like it. She leaned over worriedly and picked up the sword awkwardly. She held it in a weak grip and felt it too heavy for her to use effectively. Hayley looked at it and sighed as she looked over at ulmo frightened. She wasn't going to be able to use a sword, the end result she knew was that she was going to get hurt and then dumped in a pit like he had said.

Hayley straightened herself up and felt some of her power coming back to her but not as much as it would be if she were in her own element. She looked at ulmo and threw the sword to the side of her with a girlish grunt. She looked at him as she toughened up and held her hands in tight fists. She was emitting a cold frost that you could see falling off of her. It was like she was smoking or on fire but you knew that it was purely cold air. She suddenly shot a sharp icicle out from her palm and watched it slid against ulmo's arm giving him a small scratch on his muscle. "I wish not to fight ulmo! If you want me to join in your games, then tell me without having to fight it out first. I'm not some practice dummy! " she said slightly scared and slightly irritated as she looked at him worriedly now. "I am not a scared little girl. "

Ulmo looked down at the cut she'd given him. Had he been wearing his battle-cloth, the ice would've glanced across it and shattered with that satisfying cracking sound he loved so much. Alas, his luck wasn't always the best. With a sigh, Ulmo looked around, making sure they were alone before he spoke. "You're soft Hayley." He said, his eyes locked on her. His voice had more of a tone of respect now, the light behind his eyes and the inferno from his stomach both gone. "You are scared. I can see it in your eyes. and you've every reason to be." Sheathing his own sword, he stepped forward, radiating just enough heat so that anything Hayley threw at him would melt before it could do any serious damage. "You're in a kingdom you've never known as anything but hostile, at the mercy of a man who's seen more death and destruction than you ever will, who has no regard for life or limb or even the world. You should be scared." He continued walking forward until he was face to face with Hayley, their auras of heat and cold colliding until the air between them was room temperature. "And I don't fault you for it. But you'll need to leave fear behind." His tone was cold, calculating, but it held no malice toward her as he spoke. "Because I need your help. We're going to kill my father and end the war. Simple as that."

Hayley watched ulmo look at his cut and start to speak. She was a bit confused now, since his tone was so serious and she felt a tiny hint of respect towards her as he spoke. Hayley listened to ulmo speak and everything he was saying was true. She was in a trance listening and watching as he came closer. She could feel the radiation he was giving off and she felt uncomfortably hot yet she knew it was necessary.

When he said he was plotting to kill the king, his father, she looked at him with a look like she was looking at someone who was mentally insane. "why would you of all people want to end the war. You have me as a captive and your kingdom is near the taste of victory. If anything I know I'll be dead within the next few weeks if I even last that long in this heat." she began to explain matter-of-factly. "how am I supposed to trust you, when you had just put on a little show with and of me in front of your guard. Let me tell you, Anthony-" she mentioned his kingly name instead of his real one. She spoke in a serious and irritated tone of voice. "I do not appreciate being made out to look like a fool! And furthermore I don't appreciate your tone of voice either. If you're trying to make me want to trust you then speak more politely, how do you expect someone whose scared ad confused about being in a place where she knows that at every turn someone wants to mortally injure her, and I don't have enough strength to defend myself!" hayley breathed hard for air as she finished her ranting. She felt lightheaded and weak, but the oddest feeling that she felt was cold. She started shivering and became scared now since she was the ice maiden, she wasn't and has never gotten cold before. "ulmo…give me, one...good reason for me to trust you in your...plot to kill your father an end this foolish war." she asked looking tired.
