Biography: Zain doesn't know who his mother was, some woman his father had captured and got a bit too drunk around was all he could get out of his old man. Zain was born on a boat, and insists he will die on one yet. While he may not know who his mother was, he did get some odd traits from her, or at least his father insisted on this until Zain slid a dagger between his ribs and took over the ship. His odd appearance and lack of tanning, combined with his odd magics, drove the crew against him quick, leading to a mutiny that left him stranded on a piece of flotsam. The greatest insult was they kept the old tome that his mother had with her when his father took her. After he washed up on the shore, he began wandering, earning gold through whatever means he could. Whether it was honest work like delivering goods, or not so honest like theft or outright murdering people he crossed paths with on the road, he had one goal in mind for the many years he travelled. Find that book, and see why it was so important that his mother had apparently died sealing it, and his mutinous crew had kept it from him on his dead father's orders.
