"Knowledge is the key to survival"
Like all elves, Varion has a strong personality and is also quite calm and collective, making sure he makes the right decisions. He is quite knowledgeable in tactics and believes that knowledge is needed in order to survive, especially with much of the land under the Empires' control and the Order being a thorn in their side, it was important that he knew where his place was and strike when it was time.
Despite knowing this and that, he still has much to learn, but knows a great deal more than those older than him when they were his age those twenty years ago, seeing that new recruits were being raised as soon as possible in order to defend their home, and also the Order, and not forgetting those in the Empire who no longer can say what they can or can't do.
He is quite clever though, and can be cocky at times due to his human side, and puts on quite a performance, to show how unaware he was, when truly he was aware, since it was all a matter of deception and doing what must be done to fight for the Orders' cause, which was more his family, each of them.
Varion is easy to approach and talk to, as to being quite charismatic, making sure those around him are well, and that the people are happy who he is defending. He might not be a knight, but is quite a fighter with his strong heart beating inside, and while his heart still beats, he will fight for every strength he has to the cause.
The New Generation would often be referred to the young ones, those that would take over after the old ones have passed, and ones that should commit their life and soul to the cause. Since the Order was formed, elves and humans worked side-by-side, and some grew to like the other more than expected, and as a result, there truly was a new generation. Varion is a half-elf, with a human father, a knight, and an elf mother, both of which who helped him grow, and as a result, he was trained by both sides, training in the art of the bow and spear by his elf-side who were masters of the bow and spear, while his human-side taught him how to fight with a sword, and due to that, he equips himself with a bow on his back, twin swords (one shorter than the other) and a spear which he uses as his main while his swords remain on reserve.
Varion (Vary for short) is 20 years of age, a young man born in the same year that the Order of the Golden Mantle was formed in order to fight against the tyranny and evil, the Obsidian Empire. His birth on such a time, seemed fated that his future was decided upon, and being who he was, the son of a knight aswell as the nephew of a strong bow fighter, each expected great things from young Varion.
As soon as he could learn to read, he read, starting from the simple books, then when the time was right, he began to learn about history, about his forefathers, about the Empire, about the Order, and where he sees himself in the future. It was quite alot to deal with, but in times of uncertaintly, in times of war, men had to grow up fast, and that would be the future of Varion.
At the age of 15, he was considered mature enough to fight, and so, began tutellage under his father with his sword, and his uncle with the bow, due to the importance of getting the recruits trained. It all begun solo, before he joined classes for training with his spear, and then competed with others with the bow, and sparring and getting helpful tips from knights, but what path would he follow...would he follow the path of a Knight like his father? or would he use his knowledge, work on his knowledge, and become a leader of men.
17 he begun his patrol, and thinking he knew it was time, he jumped down against those of the Empire, but that decision did not help those who were trapped in the Empire, or his fellow comrades as they faced a near defeat. It was from this, that Varion recieved his scar, which also served as a trail for where his tear left his eye and fell down his cheek, despite the party they faced had been defeated, it still incurred losses that Varion would not forget.
Since then, he had came to a better understanding, and helped train those in the position he was once in, but training was not his only duty, but also that of defending his home, and you never know, there could be the promotion that he has been hoping for, but while his responsibilities were not so high, it meant he had some time to himself and not having much of a headache, and of course harness his skills.
