♠Height

♠Weight

♠Build
Athletic
♠Hair Color
Blonde
♠Eye Color
Green-blue
♠Scars/Tattoos/Piercings
Imogen has a tattoo of every organization she has been a part of, beginning with her time in the Finnish Army, which is tattooed on her right thigh. She has two other tattoos from private military companies and mercenary groups (a blue chess knight on her right calf and a black hawk on her left thigh), as well as the Thorne symbol, tattooed on her left shoulder. Her tattoos are generally hidden by her clothing.
♠Description
Imogen loves to work. Nothing makes her happier than taking down an enemy, outsmarting another in the field. She stands with a straight, ready-for-anything posture. Her hair is cut short and she sometimes wears a headband to keep it out of her eyes. Imogen rarely wears make up. She is very fit - swimmer's muscles and the look of one who has seen combat before. She has a ready smile and likes to make people feel comfortable around her. This makes people underestimate her. When on a job her friendliness doesn't vanish, but instead her love of a fight manifests as her energy goes into being faster, better, stronger, than her opponent.
♠Preferred Clothing
Imogen wears generic military fatigues whenever she's on a mission or in the field. When she started working for Hongaro Takizawa he not-so-nicely explained that the paramilitary style was not common in a city like Las Vegas. The military look made her stand out against all the black suited male bodyguards and brightly dressed whores. She picked up a habit of leather instead, in purples, maroons, and reds. When following Takizawa on any trip she only looks a little out of place - too fit and not busty enough to be part of Takizawa's harem. She goes back to her greys and greens when Takizawa tags her for a job.

Image
♩ MENTALITY ♩

♠Oddities
Stubborn || Once she's made a decision, nothing can stop her - not direct orders from a superior officer, or the gentle plea of a friend.
Bad Words || Years in military and mercenary forces have given her a significant cursing vocabulary. She can swear in 10 languages.
Cheap || Why pay for something you can make or steal?
♠Skills
Hand to hand || Firearms (pistols, rifles, SMGs, etc) || Ambidexterous || Multilingual (Finnish, Swedish, English)
♠Likes
Being active || Night time || Baking || Coffee || Vodka || Ethiopian food || Swimming
♠Dislikes
Having to wait for anything || Heat || Liars || Mushrooms
♠Hobbies
Volunteering || She's a Big Sister and also volunteers at the local YMCA.
Swimming || She's part of a local swim team. It keeps her cool and out of the heat.

Image
♠Phobia(s)
Iatrophobia and Nosocomephobia || Imogen would rather die than see a doctor. When she has serious wounds that require medical care she has to be knocked out (from bloodloss, shock, concussion, or drugs) or she will fight to get away.
♠Sexuality
Bisexual
♠Personality
There are two aspects to Imogen. One is a hardened warrior, a trained killer who has fought in more conflicts than she can count. The other half of her is a simple, kind woman who likes to help others. This hasn't turned her into a vigilante fighting for justice however. She's pragmatic and knows that she can't save everyone so she devotes herself to her group.

Imogen is very easy to be around, especially when she's on the job. If you don't pay attention to her, you might even forget she is there. She doesn't talk too much to strangers or acquaintances, but if a friend gets roped into a conversation with her they'll be stuck for hours while she talks about her most favourite weapon, or a new coffee shop she found, or about her Little Sister.

She takes herself seriously and is dedicated to her job, whatever the job is. Imogen especially feels responsible for every person in the Thornes. If she's not guarding Takizawa she's asking for a job to take out some of the competition to ensure that the rest of the gang can be safe. She is especially protective of the prostitutes and is known to hang around the brothels looking for trouble. But, she's very realistic about her own personal safety and isn't afraid to die.

Though she's strong and has had military training, she's not a leader and knows she's not great at strategy, the big picture. Once in the field however she has an uncanny tactical instinct that has kept her alive through many tough situations. Her years of training and years in the field in combat situations have given her a well honed edge and knowledge of most combat tactics. She's never jumpy or nervous in a difficult situation and can be counted on to have a cool head.

If it wasn't for the fact that she was supporting an evil man as he decimates rival gangs, she could be a local town hero. If she was forty years older she'd be a kind grandma. But every night, she's on the streets and in the alleys fulfilling her hidden bloodlust on her boss's orders. She enjoys the dichotomy of being a ruthless killer and friendly neighborhood helper at the same time.

Image
♩ BACKGROUND ♩

♠Relationship Status
Single and looking
♠Family
Aleksi and Yelena Tuuri || Imogen's parents are happily married and live in Finland. They believe she is a diplomatic translator. Imogen has no known US relatives.
Kelly Spano || Imogen's "Little Sister". Imogen uses a fake name (Trinity Hart) with the organization so that if anything happens to her, the kid won't get hurt. Kelly is 10 years old, Mexican-American and looks up to her Big Sister.

Image
♠Personal History
Imogen is of primarily Finnish heritage. She was born and raised in Finland where military service is required of every man but not expected of women. She was one of the few volunteers on her 18th birthday. She served well during her year's training and returned for a career position in the army. After her first tour she left the country and joined a private military company. Six years later Imogen was tired of fighting for the highest bidder in third world countries. She decided to find employment in the United States.

She worked as a bodyguard for the rich and famous but was soon bored of the tedium. Imogen broke the hand of a vegan protester who had tried to throw paint on her supermodel client. She ruined a man's future chance at children when he tried to push past her to the toupee-wearing businessman she was protecting at the time. But, even the very rich rarely had a situation that required real effort. She tried contract killing for a time, but it was more trouble than it was worth as most of the requests were to make the death look natural, which never was her forte. Organized crime interested her more so she headed to Las Vegas. It only took her a short time to hear about the biggest, baddest crime lord, Takizawa.

It was a little harder to find him. But eventually she saw him leaving a drug den, between two bodyguards. One was overweight, the other scrawny, likely picked up off the streets. Though both were wearing fancy black suits and armed with handguns, Imogen knew they were just cheap thugs. She subdued the two in a matter of seconds. Takizawa was caught offguard, but wasn't unprepared. He had a knife to her throat as she recovered from knocking the second guard to the ground. Explaining that she was much more valuable to him alive, Imogen offered her services as a proper bodyguard. He hired her immediately.

Imogen doesn't speak much of her time in the PMCs but she sometimes wonders aloud why all the most fucked up and exciting places are the hottest. As a Finn, she hates heat and humidity. She also has a strange fondness for Ethiopian food. Most don't bother to ask about her past - either they have underestimated her and think she is worthless, or they have seen her skills in person and don't want to investigate. Because of this she hasn't even bothered to come up with any convincing lies.

♩ OTHER ♩

Imogen has a strict underage policy - she won’t kill anyone under 18. She did kill a boy two days after his 18th birthday - he had really angered his ex girlfriend.

♠ "Why hello there sweetheart. You got lost in my part of town did you? Lucky me!" ♠

If there was one thing the leader of the Thornes hated, it was being woken up by his phone. The bright, luminescent light lit up the bedroom as the phone vibrated across the bedside table. Hongaro's eyes opened slowly, a glare fixed on the ceiling. His harem seemed to cringe in unison, nuzzling into the bed or him to try and escape the bright light that threatened to wake them from their dreams. With a groan he rolled onto his side, feeling the hands of several of them women tighten their grip as if to pull him back towards them. A low chuckle left the man as he picked up his phone and succumbed to their hands, allowing himself to flop back onto his back as he answered, "Hello, there better be a damn good reason to be waking me up."

He recognized the voice of the man that answered almost immediately, it was little Hoppy's handler. "Sorry to wake you sir, but Hoppy has a request."

Hongaro raised an eyebrow, "Really? And what may that be?"

"An episode of some Anime called Girls und Panzer..."

"The question is though: Does she deserve it?"

There was a chuckle on the other end of the line, the man must have found his statement amusing for some reason, "She got an entire wallet."

Hongaro grinned, "Well, in that case. Consider it sorted. I'll get Clam on it. And bring Hoppy home, her shift's over."

He disconnected the call and let the phone drop next to his head, too lazy to even throw it onto the bedside table and readied himself to get some more sleep. Inches away from blissful ignorance his eyes snapped open once more to stare at the ceiling of his penthouse. Well... the closest thing to a penthouse that a person can have while living in a gang hideout.

"Shit! Meeting!"

A snapped up into a sitting position before the urgency began to fade, the mewls of protest from his harem attempting to coax him back. "Ugh... they probably don't need me for this. It's just a minor drug deal with a tiny, insignificant gang. They're competent."

But despite that thought Hongaro found himself crawling out of bed, he couldn't be seen as slacking off, that would just be bad leadership. And it would be such a shame since Greer put so much work into the plan, the least he could do was pretend to listen while he ogled her chest. "No... Remember what you've been trying to teach yourself. Listen to what she has to say... that way you don't look like a complete dunce when she asks if the plan is ok."

He pulled on some clothes, looking back towards the myriad of women that decorated the large circular bed. Some of them and simply gone back to sleep, obviously not fussed that the drug lord had left while others sat up, looking at him expectantly. Hongaro found it amusing that they were so brazen in front of him. While so many people kissed his shoes and sucked up to him as if they were best pals, these women didn't need that charade or fear. In their own eyes they were untouchable, in a position of great power and felt entitled to a few perks due to this position at his side. He cocked his head as he assessed them, how many to follow him to the meeting? "Two should do... but now which ones... enee menee, meinee mo.."

"Kitty! Angela! Come on girls, we have a meeting to get to."

Two of the girls slowly untangled themselves from the rest and got to their feet, lithe forms stretching in a last ditch attempt to seduce him back to bed. When that didn't work they pulled on the nearest clothes, not thinking twice to check if it was there and seemingly at ease if they picked something up that was too large or too small. Or even one of Hongaro's shirts. The two women basically hung off his arms as he walked out of his home into the hallway at the top of the hideout. He smiled down at Imogen who had kept her post diligently through the night, "Well hello there. Let's go we have a meeting to attend."

For a gang hideout the Thorne base was surprisingly calm and organized, people rushing about on their various duties, many stopped to bow their heads at Hongaro as he strutted past, the girls by his side winking teasingly at any male that passed them. The meeting room as usual had members crowding around it, trying to get a peep of what was going on inside. One turned and spotted him, quickly tapping the shoulder of the man nearest to him and in seconds the group that had gathered disbanded, walking away nonchalantly as if they had never stood before the door in the first place. Hongaro had the nagging suspicion that it wouldn't take a minute after he entered before they were all back at the door. Upon entering the meeting room it appeared that, once again, he was one of the last to arrive. A quick glance around the room showed him that Aodha grumpy-pants was already present and accounted for, his trademark glare fixated on his features. "Would it kill him to even pretend he's something other than angry?"

On the upside both Greer and Clam were also there, the plan ready to be discussed. He didn't pay anyone much attention as he walked around the table and took his spot at its head, lounging on the seat as Kitty sat on his lap, leaving Angela to stand behind him, resting her chin on his shoulder. "Alright. Let's get this show on the road. Greer, what's the plan?"

Hongaro was determined to listen to every word that left her lips, which was part of the reason he'd decided to bring his girls along, something else to focus on should his gaze lock itself onto her chest. This plan, if executed properly, would result in a massive cash bonus and the leverage to expand their territory further. No room for somebody to mess it up.

♠ "Rest up - it’s a long haul from here in. And don’t forget your gear." ♠

New Yorker mafias pride themselves on family and the downfall was usually despotism. Las Vegas gangs tout their own ruthlessness and their downfall was avarice. But Imogen was a trained soldier, so she did not have the vices of common thugs. She had learned to control her desires, or found positive outlets for them. Discipline was what most gang members lacked. Too many easy women, easy drugs, and power at the end of a blade or barrel. It made them reckless and often led to an early grave. But one thing gang members had was passion. Passion to fight and fuck and that made Imogen smile.

Thinking back, it was that young Talon’s recklessness that had caused the issues in the first place. One poor decision led to another and suddenly her boss had killed a crime lord, kidnapped his youngest children, and left the heir pitifully alone. It looked like near total victory for Takizawa, but somehow that Makota boy was causing more and more trouble. That was the reason for today’s trap. She didn’t know the whole plan yet, Greer would share the final details soon, but the end goal would be to finish what Takizawa started four years ago. Today, tomorrow, next week, next month. If it took half a year, the Talons would be defeated. She couldn’t pity Makota but Imogen sometimes wondered how the child had hung on so long. Takizawa had been too easy on him. Or perhaps he had underestimated what revenge can do to strengthen someone. Miscalculations caused failure and death. If her boss had a blind spot, she would have to be sure to cover it completely.

There was more to being a bodyguard than simply guarding the body. You had to guard the mind too. The soul, well, Imogen had seen too much to believe there was anything outside a brain and a beating heart in people.

It was near 6 am. She rose from her cot, and dressed quickly. First, a bulletproof vest over her tank top, then her grey fatigues. Today there would be killing, she could smell it. Imogen carefully checked each weapon before placing it in its holster. Her heavy weapons would wait until later but she carried three knives, two semi-auto handguns, and her MP5 submachine gun. She glanced at her CCTVs before leaving the room. All was well. Takizawa was asleep in the arms of three women, the others strewn about the oversized bed. It was time.

Her room was barely more than a closet, but it was close to her boss. Rounding the corner of the hall she nodded at Jackson, who stood outside of Takizawa’s door. He almost saluted her but caught himself and nodded back instead. "Nothing to report Imogen. It’s been a quiet night."

Imogen had long ago learned to take the sleep she could, when she could. You would never know when you’d have to spend 18 hours in a trench fighting for your life with limited ammo against an overwhelming opposing force, though that scenario was unlikely in Las Vegas of all places. So she had her little tricks. An hour after Takizawa had retired for the night, to his ladies, if not to sleep, Imogen had assigned Jackson to the post outside his door so she could get at least four hours of rest. She had slowly been grooming five or six different gang members that she thought had promise. It wasn’t quite military training, but it gave them some discipline, order, and allowed her a few hours sleep before any major job.

"Good work Jackson. You’re relieved for today. Get some rest." She gave him a pat on the back and resumed her position.

Takizawa exited his room less than an hour later, two women on his arms. "Well hello there." He said, smiling. "Let's go we have a meeting to attend."

The girls laughed and smirked at Imogen, but she just looked through them. They didn’t matter. She’d had background checks run on all Takizawa’s girls within the first week on the job. Clam had helped her with that. They had found four plants - two from the Talons and two from other, lesser gangs. Imogen had dealt with them herself. She knew exactly how to hurt another woman. Takizawa’s harem thought she was dull, stupid, and ugly. Imogen didn't care. The girls were replaced as soon as they were too old or too used. Her own skills were irreplaceable to Takizawa.

And besides, he wasn’t her type.

Imogen followed Takizawa to the meeting room. She was glad that he had woken of his own accord. She hated having to wake him up; it made him grumpy. She scanned the room, noting the location of each person, considering their rank in the gang, speculating their likelihood of defection. She rated everyone low, for now. The Thornes were on top. This would be the worst time to try to double cross Takizawa. Of course, if things went badly today she would have to reassess.

Aodha, Greer, and Elmont were already waiting. Aodha had the same sour expression she always saw on his face. Clam seemed to have no expression, but his eyes were fairly red. He had probably spent his night on the computer. Greer was smiling. Imogen had to admit she looked great. She was in her element after all.

Takizawa took his place at the table, his girls lounging around him. "Alright. Let's get this show on the road. Greer, what's the plan?"

Imogen sat at the empty seat beside her boss and leaned in to listen to Greer’s plan.

♠ "Even with a plan things don‘t always go according to plan. That is why I have that pre-planned back-up plan, naturally." ♠

Not long after Clam had arrived Greer watched as Hongaro then made his way into the room accompanied by two unfamiliar woman, likely some of his many prostitutes that the man was well-known for she assumed, followed by Imogen, the loyal bodyguard to Hongaro.

"Well, that counts everyone here." She mentally did a quick count of heads within the room to make sure everyone was there. "Lovely. A full house by the looks of it."

The blonde planner held her words momentarily as everyone took their seats. Naturally, Hongaro was placed at the head of the table, Imogen seated at his side. Aodha would likely accompany the other side of Hongaro, or given his moods, would perhaps remain against the wall. Greer, however, was still standing in preparation to explain her newest plans, whilst Clam sat down nearer the end of the table as the appointed ‘assistant’ should Greer need any assistance with the computer-side of things.

Once everyone was settled she proceed with the meeting. By now it hadn’t escaped Greer’s attention that time was drifting by and nothing was in motion. She’d need to fix that, fast, and get things kicked into gear. "I better keep this simple and avoid falling into a tangent."

"Alrighty, down to the point," She spoke, opting for a relaxed tone of voice. "The gang in question that we are to be engaged with tonight is, quite frankly, not so much worth mentioning. I will instead refer to them as Group A throughout this meeting." She paused briefly, taking a moment to rearrange some papers that she would use to visually represent further details of her plan.

"According to my resources the place we are to meet Group A is long since been abandoned and a neutral area to hold the gathering. To my knowledge there are two ways leading into and out of the building, both situated on the ground floor. However, there are also two emergency exits, both of which are also on the ground floor."

Taking a breath the woman allowed the snippet of information to sink into the minds of her fellow members, even though she knew that by the end of the meeting she’d definitely be handing out notes!

"I propose going in heavy-handed to the meeting. I have been informed that seemingly only a handful of Group A will actually be attending the deal, though more than likely will have back up lurking in the backgrounds in hopes of potentially turning the deal to their favour should things not go to their liking. Therefore, weapons should be wisely taken."

Greer held up a rather large map of the building in question. On the paper was an inside view of the area’s layout; revealing each pre-mentioned exit and all the individual rooms that lay within the dormant building. Across the paper a few red marks were dotted at certain rooms to signify the potential ambush groups, mingled along with scribbled notes and odd doodles.

"Admittedly, I am still not too convinced that this ambush is genuine. Not by Group A at least. News of this gathering could have been easily leaked somehow, and I believe we could possibly have other gangs getting involved tonight without us realizing. As such I advise we prepare for an ambush as if it were to occur either way, to ensure our own members and goods are kept safe."

Dropping the map and laying it against the table, the planner allowed everyone to get a good look of the surroundings and take in any addition information they found useful.

"Hongaro, Imogen, Aodha and myself will meet with the respective dealers. Clam will be situated here at the base and keep track of everyone’s whereabouts, whilst small groups patrol the exits," She concluded. "Any questions or concerns?"

Greer looked to the other members and awaited their response, offering a comforting smile of reassurance. "Even if things look bleak at any point during this deal, do not fret. All of your safety is my responsibility and my top priority tonight." She turned and faced Hongaro especially, awaiting his input.

♠ "Another day, another job and yet another sleepless night." ♠

Clam sat down at the end of the table, preferring to keep to the sidelines. Once the meeting was in process the dull blonde haired man leaned back in his seat to get comfortable, knowing that Greer might drag on her words a little too long.

"Well, this ought to be good." He thought with a bored blink.

Quietly, Clam began to tap his fingers amusingly against the armrest of the chair. As Greer spoke, he raised his eyes and focused on the blonde woman, taking in every word carefully should any pieces of information involve himself.

"Group A? Abandoned building? Exits? Ah, yeah. I‘ve heard this before." Aside from his hacking duties Clam often was another useful source of help for Greer, who would often visit his little sanctuary whenever in need of some supposedly unattainable information, that generally no one other than himself could obtain. He had his uses, many could vouch for that. It was just his company that was less valued in comparison.

Out of the corner of his eye, just, Clam spotted a familiar looking young face. It was Teri, the girl who he’d often obtain anime for. The gloomy-looking hacker managed to stir up a slight smile in response, though his focus soon drifted back onto Greer as the woman continued to go over the plan. "I wonder if Teri is needing more anime, not that she doesn‘t watch enough of that stuff already. Funny how such a thing has became one of my more entertaining jobs as of lately."

At the mentioning of a potential ambush Clam’s attention snapped into focus. Although, his momentarily lapse of anxiety was washed away with the reassurance of him being placed at the base for the operation. "Thank hell for that."

After it seemed that Greer was done with her explanation the man promptly slid out of his seat and hopped onto his feet.

"Well, if that‘s about it then I don‘t really see my services further required at the moment," He said with hidden relief. "I‘ll keep track of the guarding patrols at the exits, as said, as well as you lot. I better get things set up on my end, Greer knows what to do. "

Side-stepping away from his seat Clam passed a few members before stopping close by to Hongaro.

"Say, Hongaro. Any new anime requests from Teri?" He asked merely out of curiosity whilst blatantly ignoring the two woman that surrounded the boss.

♠ "Any mistake will be unacceptable. This cannot afford to fail." ♠

Aodha shrugged before standing next to Hongaro for the meeting, merely out of habit. Listening to what was said, he huffed at the thought of small, insignificant groups patrolling and waiting to be attacked. He waited until he was able to speak to voice out what he had to say. "How small are we talking about in regards to the patrols? Three? Four? Five? Depending on who and how many the Talons send, we could easily be overwhelmed. Weakness in any form is not a luxury we can afford. There is that, and the windows could provide easy access to skilled foes that rely on stealth and surprise. Leaving such methods of entry open to them is potentially suicide. However, we don't have much time for idle chat, so this plan will have to suffice."

This was typical of the Second in Command. He always had his mind on the loopholes and trying to cover them. His effort put into his vengeance is what drove him to excel. "If they show up and we succeed in defeating them in a battle, we may be able to interrogate one of the surviving foes from that about who this 'Black Cat' is, among other things. Information is required for us to finally beat down the Talons permanently. I personally told the men previously in the room I want at least one Talon taken alive and brought to me just for that purpose. I doubt that would be easy, considering we might run into their elite."

Eyes travelling around the table, he finished with, "Anyone else want to add something?"

♠ "This is going to be interesting...." ♠

Hongaro's eyes were fixed on Greer's face as she began talking, barely noticing Aodha moving from his leaning position against the wall to the seat on the side of him that Imogen hadn't already taken. He felt pride well in him as he managed to actually take in what she was saying. It was probably aided by the fact that every time his eyes began to slide Kitty was quick to take jab him in the ribs with her elbow. He would have to thank her alter for keeping him on track.

As usual Greer's meticulous thought and the forethought of the different ways the even could play out were evident in the plan as it unfolded. A small smirk worked its way onto his face at the nickname given to the small gang. Quickly followed by the briefest of frowns. He didn't even remember what the gang was called. They were truly insignificant, owning a tiny section of land that they were constantly trying to defend from the larger gangs. Most of which just ignored them due to their tiny stature: They weren't a threat. Especially not to the Thornes.

The rest of the plan was fairly straightforward, though it was probably more intricate than what he perceived. The smirk returned as his name was mentioned as part of the central group who would be conducting the deal. Though some would think that being the leader of such a large gang Hongaro would see no use to be part of such an insignificant transaction. That it would be better should the cocky man stay behind and loom over his empire.

But that was something Hongaro would never be able to deal with.

He liked showing off the fact that he felt no need to hide in his lair. That he could stalk the streets as a free man without worrying about anyone trying to take him out. By going out into the 'field' he helped achieve this. Nothing sobered up a smug drug lord from a small gang than seeing the leader of the gang that could wipe them out casually strolling towards them as if he already owned the place.

As Greer finished telling the plan Clam got to his feet, obviously feeling that his presence was no loner necessary "Say, Hongaro. Any new anime requests from Teri?"

Hongaro nodded, "An episode of something called Girls und Panzer." He shrugged before turning his attention back to Greer, sitting up straighter, ready to voice his opinion on the plan when Aodha cut him, seemingly unaware of Hongaro's intention to speak.

"And Mr. Optimist strikes again..."

He turned to Aodha, "Although it would make sense for the Talons to be the ones to ambush us, how can you be certain it will be them? Our status has many adrenaline hyped idiots believe they can make us crumble. If it is one of the lower gangs their ambush will be crude at best, making it easy to take them out. That way it wouldn't matter how large the patrols are. If you are right and it is the Talons, I doubt the outcome would be that different. Four years may have passed, but their main drive is revenge. Therefore their planning may be predictable. They want anyone with information on Terri and Tori. We're still more powerful than them. I'm confident that Greer has thought all this out and thought of a way to counteract such an attack. I mean for fucks sake, do you think we have gotten where we are because of an incompetent planner? I trust Greer to have the situation under control, she's very perceptive."

Hongaro looked about the meeting room. He thought he'd been very clever and sounded quite high and mighty, the profanity though had probably taken the edge of the otherwise perceptive speech. A smile twisted his lips as he leaned back into his seat, Angela nuzzling into his neck, curious eyes looking about to see if anyone else would speak up.

♠ "It's a thin line - caution and risk, plans and bravado. Who's right? The gal with the gun of course." ♠

Imogen had been silent through the the meeting, considering the plan and considering how she would protect Hongaro when he inevitably did something reckless. Clam practically ran out of the meeting when Greer finished speaking. His role was important to be sure, but he wasn't needed when they got to the gritty parts. When Aodha spoke, Imogen gave him her full attention.

Hongaro, as usual, practically ignored Aodha’s advice and caution, responding forcefully. She couldn’t understand how her boss could underutilize his second in command especially one so competent. But, Aodha was a bit of a downer and Hongaro liked taking risks. "And I wonder, "Imogen thought,"if he’s not agreeing with Greer and actually paying attention to her plans in order to convince her to fuck him". He hadn’t managed that feat yet, and Imogen knew it would be likely impossible, but Hongaro seemed to like impossible things.

After Hongaro spoke, she voiced her concerns, but softly to start. Even though Imogen was respected for her skill at arms, these men often had to bluster and brag to feel more important than each other. “I think that Aodha has a point. We have a target on our backs as long as Teri and Torrin are in our hands. Until the Talons are crushed fucking completely they’ll always be coming for us. They’re not a weak point - we’re much stronger than that - but their potential presence will shit on every interaction with other gangs we have.”

She didn’t usually have long speeches, and she knew Hongaro was already losing focus because she had started by agreeing with Aodha. He just wanted to go out there and get the job done. Imogen understood that mentality and wanted the same. She leaned forward, her words becoming more forceful.

“But I think Hongaro is right to trust in Greer’s plan. She’s considered the risks, and I think with all of our top people there we’ll the strength to take down anything that any gang throws at us. And we’ll also be showing the little gangs that they can never expect us to just send lackeys. We’ll win the fucking psychological battle too.” And Imogen couldn't help but hope the meeting was almost over. She was ready to shoot someone.

♠ "Down talk my plan? Poppycock!" ♠

Greer bit her tongue for the next few minutes as she listened carefully to what the other members had to say. Of course, this was the normal response. After every meeting there was usually a debate at some point over who’s way was right. Granted, Greer always knew that Hongaro would support her. He believed in her, and she believed in him as a leader. Likewise, she knew Imogen had trust in the planner to know what she was doing. However, then there was Aodha, who naturally had some opinions of his own and wasn‘t slow in being forthcoming with them.

"Aodha has a point. Hongaro has a point. Imogen has a point." Closing her eyes Greer analyzed each respective point mentioned as quickly as she could handle deep inside her head, knowing all too well time was of the essence and little could really be changed so late in the developments. But, given all that, she was determined to form the perfect plan and reassure everyone as best as her abilities could allow.

"Patrols
 Talons
 Windows
The opportunity for an ambush. Would the Talons actually attack us? Can they afford the men to do such a thing?" Of course the thought had passed her mind on a couple of occasions previously, though only now did the actual thought of Talons invading their deal make more sense. "Surely it would be a challenge for the Talons to evade our attention and actually sneak in? There is not enough of them, although, revenge is a powerful motive that could easily cause someone to become reckless
"

A slow and gradual thought began to stir in her mind just at that moment.

"Perhaps we should not be keeping the Talons out, but rather we ought to be keeping them in," Greer spoke up politely after Imogen was done speaking. "The Talons want two things: revenge and information. Both of which can be obtained from any one of us four here, correct?" She paused momentarily.

"Out of revenge, the Talons will aim for us four. I can almost doubtlessly admit this. So, instead of having our vulnerable members at the exits, we allow the Talons to come to us, and once they believe they have us surrounded either during or after the deal, we in turn bring out our own forces and ambush them at their own game. After all, who would expect their own ambush to be ambushed instead? It would throw off their members and cause chaos within their divisions. As well, taking into account that it was us who ripped the Talons apart only four years ago, I highly doubt their members are big and plentiful these days at any rate. Plus, this tactic works either way against the Talons and Group A."

Greer was confident enough with her suggestion. She was the planner, after all. This sort of thing came almost naturally to her after having spent years perfecting her mind into such a methodical pattern. However, what was still irking her was the fact that she could not say for certain whether an ambush would even occur tonight. The paranoia of not knowing was getting to her, but as always she couldn’t afford to show it. In all truth, her latest suggestion was albeit risky, she deemed it necessary enough to follow it.

"Plus, let us not forget a very important detail. We are making a deal with another gang. So in every sense the Talons would be ambushing two gangs at once, should they actually appear. While their busy with their revenge they’ll be unfocused on the other gang, who like ourselves will naturally counterattack. Should the Talons be the ones to attack us, rather than Group A as previous thought, then we could profit from using Group A as bait and a means to distract the Talons for a little while, whilst we take them out. Now, doesn‘t that sound nice?"

All of this talking was beginning to give Greer a migraine. She was beginning to feel the urge to just get on with things and throw caution to the wind, if only. She could even sense the other members desires to get things moving also, which prompted the planer to take charge - given that it was her meeting, to a degree, anyway!

"Right. Hongaro, Imogen, and Aodha. You all, as well as myself, will meet the buyers. I opt that we take ten members to carry out the surprise ambush. That, plus any additional members of Group A who may work with us, would equal a higher number that would outnumber the Talons, I’m sure." With that said Greer gave out a final sigh before relaxing her shoulders.

"After all of this I‘m actually hoping for an ambush, considering the amount of mental strength it‘s taken to prepare for something that might not even happen!?
Am I loosing it? Just a little? These Talons are proving more trouble than their worth, and yet I admire their persistence. They are challenging, quite."

"We‘re wasting time now, so let‘s just go, please?" Greer made a slight sulky expression as she spoke, clearly growing somewhat restless. "I know this plan may seem risky in some aspects, but I know that I can pull this off."

Greer stood quietly and awaited further input. Time was marching on and they needed to move fast, or else the whole thing would be in vain.

♠ "Time is of the essence..." ♠

When Aodha heard Hongaro mention how Greer was not at all incompetent, he merely shrugg3ed since he did not wish to argue. Besides, he was not questioning Greer's competence, at all. He listened to Imgoen's brief speech before nodding. He knew where she was getting at, although he made no mention of the Makota siblings. Greer then came up with another plan where ten people would set up a counter-ambush in case the Talons tried anything. "It is risky, though it could work to our advantage." The boss would most likely agree, so Aodha waited for him to offially approve it before saying, "Let's get on with it, then." turning towards Imogen, he told her, "Once the operation is over with and interrogations finished, I would like to speak to Torrin, in private."

In an adjacent room, he picked out five of the best fighters to come with himself, Hongaro, Imogen, and Greer. From there, he prepared both himself and the others for whatever battle would occur. Among other things, he brought with him the pistol he nearly always carried when doing something related to mafia. This one was military-grade, which meant his weapon, when properly used, could prove to mean the difference between life and death. As for the other five to be picked, he left that up to Hongaro. Since this was a highly dangerous event, he chose to stand beside Greer to keep her safe. For some reason, out of the other fellow Thornes, he felt the most at ease around her, even if it did not show, sometimes.

♠ "It's show time." ♠

Hongaro smirked and nodded, stretching "Well, now that that's sorted, let's get this show on the road." Kitty was quick to get up as Hongaro got to his feet, looking over towards Aodha spoke. His eyes narrowed with suspicion, as they always did when someone mention their hostages. What did his second in command want with Torrin? He forced himself to calm down and let himself relax, an easy smile replacing the tight-lipped look of suspicion that so rarely covered his features.

He shouldered one of the lower gang members with the task of taking his too concubines back to his room, his suspicion being pushed to the back of his mind as they winked at him, a glint in their eyes that promised a fun night. They moved into a neighboring room, collecting any weapons that were needed while Hongaro picked the final members of their little gang. He picked up a few combat knives. He didn't like guns too much, they made too much noise. But better be safe than sorry. Picking up a handgun she shoved it into the back pocket of his jeans he turned to the others that would join him on this trip, "Time to roll out and let the chips fall where they may."

♠ “It seems it is time to put the plan to the test!"♠

Greer quietly watched as the other members prompted themselves into motion suddenly, all the while mentally pondering over what she ought to bring along with her to the rendezvous with the other gang.

”I better bring something with me, just incase.”

Momentarily, the golden-haired planner had slipped out of the room unnoticed before hurrying off down the hall towards her own room in search of a weapon of some sort. Since she knew all too well that her talents involving guns was considerably poor, Greer opted, rather wisely, to conceal a small pocket knife down the upper interior of her skirt, should she need it in any case of emergency. Before returning to the others she spared a moment to quickly brush herself down and attempt to look presentable. With that done, the planner returned to the other Thornes.

After rejoining the other members, Greer stood idly, briefly, until she noticed Aodha beside her. Glancing towards him she smiled softly, an attempt to lighten the mood a little.”So you‘ll be my bodyguard tonight, will you?” She teased a little in hopes of getting a response out of the not-so-amused looking man.”I‘ll try not to get in the way. I‘d hate to be a nuisance in the heat of a battle with the Talons.”

Once it seemed that Hongaro was ready Greer quickly glanced around the room to see if everyone else was as well.”Oh, I also arranged transport for us to get there. I figured a van would suffice seeing as it‘s big enough to hold us all, and it also provides a quick getaway should we need it. Plus, it means we‘ll blend in with our surroundings and not look too conspicuous to onlookers.”

♠ "It's times like these I pity those with normal lives. Where do they get their excitement?" ♠

Hongaro listened to Greer talk, his excitement stifled slightly on the word 'van'. He knew it was practical and the kind of vehicle that the job required, but he couldn't help but feel slightly deflated. It would have been so much more exciting in a fleet of sports cars, the kind of thing that you expected from high rolling gang members. But the truth was far less glamorous, with the group more often than not going out of their way to blend in with those going about their mundane and innocent lives. Vans weren't flashy and riding in one was probably the closest Hongaro had gotten to that kind of life in a long time. He stretched and looked around the group that had gathered in the room. Everyone appeared to be ready, any weapons that may be necessary acquired.

He smirked and cracked his knuckles, making sure that he was standing close to Imogen, she would insist that he stuck close by in case there truly was to be an ambush. After all, it was her job to make sure he walked out of an attack alive. Without further ado he made his way out of the room, calling over his shoulder, "So what are we waiting for? Let's get this over and done with and make ourselves an nice profit."

He threw a smirk over his shoulder as he made his way through the gang's hideout into the spacious garage where cars, motorcycles and just about any mode of transport that a gang could need were stored. The van stood ready and waiting, dark tinted windows and black paint, which although inconspicuous, still held an aura of menace about it.

♠ “Looks to be another thrilling time out on the streets of Las Vegas tonight."♠

As the members left the room Greer promptly turned to Aodha, ”Well, looks like we ought to get going. I suppose we better move ourselves.”

Taking her leave the planner obediently followed onward after Hongaro, Imogen and the other few members who were joining them tonight. Making her way calmly through the hideout it didn’t much time until she reached the garage with the others, and quickly set her eyes on the van she had mentioned prior to that moment.

”Well, in we get!” She said with an enthusiastic tone. As Greer was about to board the van she stopped momentarily, before turning her attention onto Hongaro.”I know it wasn’t what you were hoping for but I‘m glad you agreed to go along with the van idea. It‘s nice to know I have an understanding and very wise leader.”

With a pleasant grin she climbed into the van and settled herself into the front passenger seat, offering a reassuring smile towards Imogen who was settled and waiting on her motorcycle as expected, before turning round to check on where Aodha was.

Greer, unfortunately, couldn’t drive. It was one of few things that she just couldn’t grasp and therefore why she wasn‘t opting to take control of the van herself. However, what she lacked behind the wheel she made up for as the passenger, especially since Greer was one of the more friendlier and polite members within the group. Should they be stopped at any given moment the blonde-haired woman found little difficultly in talking her way out of trouble.

”Looks like Imogen has got our path covered. So, if we all just do our jobs right and pull this operation off, then this night ought to go without a hitch." She muttered while waiting for the others to board the van.

♠ "So now, we get going..." ♠

Aodha heard what Greer said and was caught a little off guard. He did not know why he always acted less hostilely around her, but he did. Maybe not by much, sometimes, but still. At first, he did not say anything, even when he signaled that it was time to go once everyone was seated. But then, sitting next to her in the van, he said to her, "I just don't want you getting hurt out there, Greer." One of the men in the van smirked a little, to which he glared and asked, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing, Aodha, except you two are kind of a great match. You two gonna...?"

"No." Turning his head, the Second-in-Command added, "Besides, it's not like there's anything romantic going on. Even if there was, I'm not some tramp or sex-crazed buffoon."

"Say what you want, but you always seem to be nicer around her."

"Your point is?"

The Thorne kept his mouth shut after that. It was pointless reasoning with him, unless you were Hongaro, Greer, or some other person he knew by name. He honestly did not know what to expect, but whatever would happen, he was prepared. Who knows? Maybe this 'Black Cat' will show up, which would make the perfect opportunity to try to capture her for interrogation, and to gather answers from her. He was told the cat was a girl, but he figured he would not know until he sees her. She was one of few Talons he knew he had a use for to further his personal vendetta. Glancing downwards, he pondered what it would be like if the shooting of the majority of his relatives did not happen. He would certainly not be a Thorne, now, that's for sure, since there would be no reason for him to exact vengeance. But, since it happened, he was bent on revenge using whatever means at his disposal, short of using the only relative he had left.

--

Speaking of whom, Baghodat Smith was up much later than his cousin would allow, plus was out on the streets with a mask, hat, and sunglasses on to keep from being identified among the hoodlums that may be lurking. He was worried that Aodha may be involved in some sort of vice or something, since he was always cranky in the morning whenever he saw him. Baghodat did not know what Aodha did with his nights, so he decided to make random guesses. One such random guess was at some sort of hotel which was kind of kinky. Still wearing his mask and hat, he set up an "appointment", though the boy secretly had no intention of sticking his thing in anyone. He merely wanted to know if anyone around there has seen Aodha. To keep from being tempted, he decided to say that his "fetish" (which he truthfully had none) was the more innocent type. With the arrangement made for the next night, he made it back to his dorm without being spotted and took off his mask. If I have to resort to covert stuff like that again, it will be too soon.

♠ "Time to find out how predictable these Talons truly are." ♠

Hongaro let a laugh escape his lips as Greer spoke of his wisdom. He'd been called many things in life, usually something insulting, but never wise or understanding. He took his seat in the back of the van, leveling his gaze with Greer, a grin spreading over his features, "Thanks for the compliment. I'll try and not let it get to my head." He laughed again and lent back in his seat shortly before someone took the wheel. The van rumbled to life and a brief flash of the headlights signaled that it was time to go. Lumbering forth the van left the underground garage and smoothly glided into the street to merge with the traffic that plagued Las Vegas day and night.

Their meeting place with the smaller gang was fairly cliche, an abandoned building on the outskirts of town that had been labelled off limits due to 'foundation damage'. Of course that was all a load of crap set up years ago by the Thornes and then later on sold off for a profit of course.

Hongaro looked around the van as they neared their destination, "Now remember the plan everyone. There's no room to fuck up so stay sharp."

The van came to a halt outside the darkened building, not a single sign of life could be seen from within it. But Hongaro knew they were there, in this town, when the Thornes said 'jump' you said 'how high?' It wasn't worth the consequences if you didn't do as you were told.

♠ “It‘s times like this when I question my own plan. But that‘s a secret, alrighty?”♠

Greer watched as Aodha sat next to her, the woman somewhat surprised at that moment by his kind words and concern for her welfare. Normally, the Second-in-Command wasn’t usually like this. Greer couldn’t help but mentally ponder over his words carefully before offering a simple smile in response. ”You don‘t have to worry so much. It isn‘t as if this is my first time out on a job, you know.” She said softly and reassured the man. ”At any rate, though, I am thankful for you looking out for me. I appreciate it a lot.” In a friendly manner she rested her head against his shoulder for a moment, poking his arm playfully before pulling away completely shortly afterwards.

Greer was about to say something else until she overheard another member speak up, a man, who’s little remark slightly offended the planner. Being one of a small group of woman within the Thornes Greer had grown use to hearing such things spoken about her and yet couldn’t help but feel a little degraded due to the contents surrounding the comment, as well as feel a tad embarrassed by the small conversation in general. Silenced, the woman turned her attention out towards the tinted window for the remainder of the time, briefly, until hearing Hongaro responding to her earlier compliment. In response to this she just smiled with a light giggle in the direction of her boss, before resuming her stare out of the window for the entire journey to their destination.

Once there, cautiously, Greer opened the door of the van and took a step outside. She eyed up the seemingly abandoned building carefully before feeling a little put-off by it’s eerie atmosphere. Despite the amount of time she had spent planning in preparation for this meeting the planner still felt a little caught off guard by the darkened building, especially since she already knew that there was another gang within the building, and perhaps another awaiting to ambush them as well. The whole situation was becoming a little daunting, though Greer wouldn’t willingly admit this aloud.

”Well, we better head inside. It‘s not wise to stand here idly in the open.” She said in a quiet tone. ”Everyone ought to get into position and keep focused. I don‘t want any unnecessary casualties tonight.” The planner began to mumble to herself at that moment, attempting to settle her nerves. She didn’t want any of the other members picking up on her uneasy vibes just then, and could only hope her mind would comfort itself in time before they entered the building.

♠ "Fair fights are for the brave and the stupid. Fight dirty and win." ♠

Imogen arrived at the rendezvous just before the van carrying the rest of the Thornes. Traffic hadn’t been an issue, fortunately, but she hadn’t been as fast as she liked. There wouldn’t be time to scope out the whole place before going in. Confident in Greer’s plan, however, she pulled out her pistol, set the lock on her bike, and started her sweep. The motorcycle lock was a very special one that Imogen had paid dearly for - if the user didn’t enter the correct code within 30 seconds of reaching 25 mph a small bomb would explode. The code wasn’t too difficult - what was hard was thinking quickly while operating a fast moving vehicle and typing on a small display at the same time.

First thing was to run a perimeter check. In her past work as a merc she would have had a few team members help her with this part of the job, but she hadn’t trained any of the Thornes enough to trust them yet. And, the whole point of Greer’s idea was to display the highest Thornes in action. If she had brought a few of her own lackeys it would have been obvious that there was a trap.

She had just returned to the front entrance when the van pulled up. All the important Thornes exited the vehicle one by one - whatever weapons they had carried at the ready. She went to Hongaro to make her report.

“No signs of ambush right now, or any booby traps. The little gang seems to be waiting inside as planned. I didn’t get a great look at them from these grimy windows,” Imogen gestured towards the building. “But none of them looked like Talons to me. I’m always ready for trouble though - maybe these guys want to make a name for themselves and take down the biggest gang in Vegas.”

Imogen grimaced at that thought as she wrapped up her summary. “As always I will advise caution.” She looked to Greer, then to Aodha for confirmation of this, but knew it would be pointless. Their boss would do what he always did, no matter what his advisers said.

♠ "So far, so good. But anything can still happen." ♠

The doors to the van slid open, moving silently before the Thorne members rushed out, weapons ready in their hands. Hongaro was the last to leave, probably to most relaxed of the group with his hand shoved in his pockets and casually turning in circles as he walked, taking in the surroundings. His eyes spotted Imogen's bike shortly before spotting his bodyguard walking towards them, looking ready to turn around and open fire at a moment's notice. Hongaro grinned, completely at ease as the other members formed a loose barrier around him, the tension they felt, if any, was expertly expressed to make sure that the others weren't affected by any worries they may have.

Hongaro kicked a loose rock absentmindedly before Imogen joined him, informing him of the things she had noticed while conducting her quick check of the building. He listened intently, looking at the abandoned building as she spoke. There was a pause and Hongaro counted down before Imogen's advice reached his ears. He chuckled, it was something that they all told him on a near daily basis. But it wasn't something that he was well known for following. Even when he tried to be cautious. It just wasn't part of who he was.

Shrugging off what Imogen had said he started to walk forth, noting how the group of lower ranking Thorne members where quick to move along with him. He turned to face Imogen and smirked, "Come now Imogen, it'll be fun."

He closed in on the building, watching as one of the members opened the front doors, the un-oiled hinges screeching unpleasantly. He cringed from the sound watching as groups split off into their designated areas as they entered the building.

♠ "Time to close this deal so I can go back to my Honeys..." ♠

The inside of the building was positively decrepit. Hongaro's nose wrinkled in distaste as the rank smell of rotting pests and vomit reached him. Unfortunately the downside to a desolate building like this was that it was often subjected to squatters. One quick glance around the large room they had entered proved him right, smashed bottles and discarded syringes lay scattered across the ground, the remnants of a fire sat in a dented metal barrel. And in the center of the room standing behind a rusted and beat-up metal table stood the members of the smaller gang.

Hongaro couldn't help the light snort that left him, these people looked like they were taking too much of their own stock. Dark bags hung from under their eyes, one of them with limbs stick thing, sickly nails scratching the inside of his elbow. The rest looked edgy, though appeared to relax when they noticed the group coming to meet them was fairly small. Weapons hung limply from other hands or glinting from holsters.

With a lazy motion of one hand, Hongaro moved forth, making sure not to walk too fast. Imogen did always get upset with him for rushing ahead even though a plan had been laid out. He turned his head to watch them before coming to a halt a few meters from the table, shoving his hands into his pocket. The person who had initiated the meeting shifted from foot to foot, staring at Hongaro. The man, although never having seen Hongaro's face, probably recognized him instantly due to the cocky way in which the Thornes' leader carried himself.

Tapping his foot Hongaro's eyes scanned the room one more time as if searching for anyone that may be hiding in the shadows. Finding nothing he turned his attention back to those before him, "Alright, let's get this sorted, shall we?"

♠ “Not how I imagined it.” ♠

Taking a cautious step inside Greer closely followed as Hongaro and the other members entered the building ahead of her, before watching as some of them split off into smaller groups and proceeded to head off in the directions of their appointed locations within the building.

"It‘s a pity that a good building goes to waste like this," The lingering stench, which was almost sickening to inhale, caused the planner to raise a hand and protectively cover her nose and mouth at that moment. "I just hope this doesn‘t go on longer than needed. I‘m not so sure how much of this place I can handle."

Noticing Hongaro and Imogen already ahead she increased her pace slightly to keep up with them. In the centre of the room Greer saw the other gang awaiting them, the small group of armed individuals who stood behind a ruined old table. Upon closer inspection, the woman took a mental note of how unhealthy and seemingly incapable the gang seemed of conducting such a meeting, and even though Greer consciously tried not to look at them directly she still found herself curiously, and uncontrollably, staring at them.

As Hongaro began to approach the group Greer stood silently, watching, whilst keeping a casual eye on their surroundings. So far she hadn’t noticed anything, or anyone, out of place, yet. As Hongaro began the negotiations the planner mentally rehearsed in her head all of which would presumably follow and how it would entwine with the plan that had been set out beforehand. The whole unknowing aspect both intrigued and worried Greer to certain extents.
