Peter isn't the tallest person, but standing at 5'10" he is a little above average height. He isn't the strongest either but his broad shoulders and filled-out frame make him appear more muscular than he really is. Pj has a wispy mass of golden-brown curls, that are usually parted to the side or let loose with some gel. His eyes are a subtle blue, that borderlines icy aqua and foggy grey. On a stormy day however, they are much darker and take on a greener hue. He has a fair complexion, natural freckles, a strong jaw, and his cheeks always have a heightened pink hue (making him appear as if he's always flushed).

Peter's style is mainly that of a normal teenage boy. Rather straight-laced and All-American. He likes warm, comfortable jumpers which either fit him snugly or are slightly oversized. These are usually paired with jeans and a basic t-shirt beneath. Blues and neutral colours are his favourite, though he's not entirely uncomfortable with branching out.

likes: Peter has always loved reading classic mysteries, and is a sucker for old time films. He loves the smell of fresh linen, and it meticulous about the way his laundry is done. Due to his fidgetiness he always keeps a piece of gum or his small cube toy in his pocket to distract him when he's feeling anxious.

dislikes: PJ hates being in the spotlight. Ever since he was a child he was always good at navigating things from behind the scenes and was adamant about staying out of the spotlight. He also has a distaste for obnoxious people he can find them very overwhelming and overbearing to his rather studious persona. Peter hates spiders and blood, something a lot of people don't know about him. He once fainted in 5th grade because a kid had a bloody nose.

Highly anxious and curious, particularly towards criminology and the suspicious tales surrounding his hometown. PJ is extremely outspoken and immensely intelligent, he has a quick mind for puzzles and research, but is prone to distraction and a scattered mind due to his insecurities. Despite his scatterbrained behavior, he is well-meaning and very protective of those he cares for, particularly of his best friends and his family.

Growing up, Peter has shown to be an extremely headstrong, determined individual with an undying loyalty and friendship to those close to him. He will go out out of his way to help people even it causes him trouble or the situation proves to be life-threatening. He is willing to give up his life for those he loves. Due to his fear of losing people close to him, PJ is slow to trust people, highly suspicious to the point he can be paranoid. He also tends to be more cynical and pragmatic in contrast to his friends' more passionate and idealistic views. Even so, his instincts have proven to be remarkably accurate.

Underneath his witty and humors demeanor is a boy haunted with grief and guilt over his brother's death and harbors a deep fear that the town blames him for it. Despite everything that he has been through, he appreciates his humanness. Due to his knowledge and understanding of justice due to his father's role as the sheriff he knows that even though he doesn't have abilities he's useful. He despises feeling useless.

Peter was born in Beaumont, the oldest of two children to Gregory and Melanie Simmons. Growing up wasn't too bad for PJ, besides the constant bickering between him and his younger brother Joshua. Since his Dad was and still is the sheriff of Beaumont he grew up being raised around the justice system and was always interested in his father's work. His mom fancied his little dreams by getting him a spy kit and a custom police officer badge. Perhaps his curiosity was a little too much. Through his teen years he spent most of his time listening to his dad's police scanner and getting into trouble. But that never stopped him. It wasn't long before he began to drag his younger brother into his mess and for a while they enjoyed the meddling schemes and reckless adventures they went on.

That was until Peter's Freshman year of high school. Grace Hayward's disappearance shocked the town as nobody could ever believe the prom queen and student body president of Beaumont would ever vanish into thin air. Peter took the case too far and even broke into his father's case files to dig up every bit of evidence he could about the case. He eventually was sure that he knew where she was, a popular hideout in the woods for some of the teenagers, and ended up convincing his brother to come with him. The two snuck out in the pitch black armed only with flashlights and navigated their way to the large tunnel that jutted out in the middle of the woods. PJ found something that night. It wasn't Grace. Deep in the cave is an image he will never forget. A monster that still haunts him to this day. With a teeth full of razors and claws the size of knives. Him and his brother ran as fast as the could, and unfortunately Josh's asthma could't get him too far. He started wheezing, and Peter tried to drag him along but his brother was practically dead weight. It was then the thing caught up to them. Peter hurled a flashlight at it's face but it was practically futile as it took one large swipe across his brother's chest. PJ didn't know why the thing didn't hurt him. Sometimes he wishes it had killed him, maybe everything would've been easier that way. He didn't leave his brother's body until a search party found them the next morning and ripped him away. Peter never stopped screaming, he never stopped hurting.

The last few years he has hung low, he's lost most interest in his detective work and has pretty much become half of what he once was. The few friends that he has try their best to cheer the boy up but there's a deeper sense of loss that he knows will never be filled.
