Background: Rissa used to live in the north pacific ocean, but many things had happened. There was lots of pollution, frequent shark attacks and terrible earth quakes. Rissa's parents decided that their underwater city was to harsh to live in, so they moved to a small house on land near the school. They also thought that it would be better for Rissa to go to Terrabodisiana with kids other than merpeople. Since she has a fear of sponges, kids would either tease her about it, or scare her with live ones.
