AGE: “I am the eldest of five children at 15.”
GENDER: “I am a girl...”
DISTRICT: “I am from District Twelve...”
FAMILY: “I have three sisters whom I love dearly and a brother. My mother ran away when I was thirteen and my father barely acknowledges my existence unless he wants me to do him a favour.”
PERSONALITY: “I guess I am protective...especially when it comes to my sisters, Rose, Megan and Luna. I’m protective of my brother Oakley too but he doesn’t need me as much as the girls. He’s got Dad. Good old daddy! Sexist even towards his daughters!
I’m also very sarcastic and independent. I don’t let myself feel the need to rely on someone else in case they let me down. My mother did and now look how me and the girls are treated by everyone...Even Father feels free to show his shame on us girls.
I take control but I’m not a control freak. I’d be happy to step down and let somebody else care for the girls if I thought they’d agree to it. My sisters don’t trust anyone apart from me and Oakley not even Dad. That’s why I do the work and I feed them. Father just pays a fraction of the rent.
My mum told me when Luna was born that she was my sister and I always had to be there to look after her. Luna was the second child my parents had and then they had Rose and Megan as twins and they finally Dad got the only thing he ever wanted. He didn’t want me, or mum or even Rose, Megan or Luna he wanted a boy. Not a wife, or a family, just a son to brainwash into being like him,
I don’t forgive people if they betray me. The capitol would have me dead in a second if they knew the crimes I commit to keep my sisters alive. I’ve stolen...I’ve killed people’s livestock. I don’t do that as much anymore because I got a job. It’s not great but it pays enough for me to keep my record clean. I wash dishes and equipment for the baker. He can’t afford me really but he keeps paying me out of kindness. A kindness I wish I didn’t rely on but I don’t have much choice...”
APPERANCE: ”I have long blonde hair which I got from my mother and dark green eyes from my father but really apart from my eyes I’m a perfect replica of my mother.
I am tall and unhealthily thin from my family’s struggle for money and food. I have a hint of muscle showing on my arms from hauling stolen goods home at midnight but apart from that I’m pretty much a bag of bones. I have long legs and a small chest but that doesn’t bother me really...I don’t want a man who wants me because I’ve got a body. I don’t want a man to be honest. I just want to be there for my sisters.
I normally have my hair in a chunky fat fishtail because that’s how my mother taught me to do my hair. I typically wear white because it’s cheaper than buying colourful clothing in fact my only coloured piece of clothing is a pale green frock my mother brought simply because it was my first reaping and Father was too busy with Oakley to stop her.”
