βœ–|| Costume Identity ||βœ–

Uniform:
Image

Mask: An experimental cyberware head that houses Temujin's remaining organic brain matter and allows him to channel his psychic powers.

Equipment:
[*]A full cyborg body, made of strong and flexile artificial muscle fibers.

[*]A pair of folding HASSANSIN-class arm blades, featuring state-of-the-art plasma blades directly powered by Temujin's chassis.

[*]Magnetic grappling wire hidden within his palms.

[*]Magnetised hands and feet for wall-crawling.

[*]Smoke pellets

[*]Whatever Temujin can get a hold on.

βœ–|| Background ||βœ–
Temujin does not care to share his history, or even to remember it. He had been a cyborg for as long as he could recall, with a myriad images of bloodshed and death seared into his mind. He served as an enforcer of the Ares Corporation, eliminating those who conflicted with the company's interest, until a tinkerer named Ako and her fellow Rogues managed to free him. Temujin had thrown his lot in with the Rogues since, more out of obligation and gratitude rather than any altruistic motives, and his extreme methods have led both allies and enemies to shun and fear him.

βœ– Powers βœ–:
|| POWER || Cyber Ninja enhancements
CLASS - RATING Mover - 7 | Brute - 2 | Stranger - 9
Experimental cyber ninja enhancements engineered by the finest Ares scientists, built for covert operations. Provides the wearer with enhanced strength, agility, reaction times, and a built-in invisibility cloak with a 600 seconds operation time and 300 seconds recharge time.

|| POWER || Deviancy: Telepathy
CLASS - RATING Breaker - 5 | Trump - 5 | Stranger - 5
Low-level psychic powers conjured by Temujin's organic brain. It is ambiguous whether these are naturally borne or artificially imbued by Ares engineers. Temujin's telepathy is offline by default, but when engaged, it manifests in several distinct ways:
[*] Hyper-alert: It is almost impossible to surprise Temujin, and his already phenomenal reaction time is increased by 200%.
[*] False Idol: Temujin can create a decoy of himself in an individual's mind which is static and easily dispelled by physical attacks… but provides enough time for him to reposition or engage in a sneak attack.
[*] Bend Projectile: Temujin can alter the direction of low-velocity projectiles he throws (knives, arrows, and axes, not bullets).

Weakness/drawbacks:
  • 95% cyborg body makes him especially vulnerable against electromagnetic pulse.
  • Excessive brain tampering and body modifications have left Temujin with an aggressive and unsociable personality.
  • Psychic powers are latent by default, and can only run for a limited period (5 minutes every 3 hours) lest the strain permanently damages his brain.
  • Artificial body does not heal naturally.

Power Origins: Corpo conspiracy

Raudd looked on as the girl rejoined the table before retrieving a package of food from some kind of disk, feeling somewhat sorry for the girls rude awakening to the reality of 'meat' down in the undercity... Most tend to become aware of that before putting it in their gullet. "Meal rarely edible huh, I'm guessing you have another 8 meals worth hidden in that disk, enough for three days give or take. Well, if you end up staying longer or feel like having a proper meal just ask me. I tend to avoid putting monster meat in my cooking anyways, so cooking with that in mind really isn't a problem for me." Raudd told the girl as he watched her break the seal of the packaging.

"Ahem, at any rate getting out of the undercity isn't exactly an easy thing even under the best of circumstances and that's without the horde actively on the lookout for a lost templar to squeeze dry of any and all money earning potential. These two may know other routes that don't cross the paths of the horde, but they are probably too dangerous for those who aren't practically indestructible." Zolya picked up from before the seafood eviction. "Well I think I might know one way to get her out without too much trouble, We'll have to check a few things out beforehand though... Depends a bit on how lucky we are, if it's actually a workable option." He replied scratching his beard a bit.

"Well then," chirped Yue vacantly, as she squeezed a dab of Jalapeno cheese spread onto a "biscuit" while the rest of her meal cooked inside the flameless ration heater. "Sounds like we all have a part to play then," she continued, with that same smile. Yue chewed on the biscuit for a minute in silence while she struggled to stay in the present.

"So... Sir Viking and the host are going to scout a route to the surface that will potentially kill me," she began, pointing at Raudd and Zolya with the cheesy end of her half eaten biscuit. "The robot is going to go murder gangers and stuff them, and then I'll be going off into the unknown to meet a mad scientist in some place called 'the Foundry.' Alone... with him. Is that what's happening?" she finished, squinting at Alex for a long time.

"This is fine," she muttered, with the cheese packet hanging idly from her mouth. Yue flattened the remaining biscuits into a disc and squeezed out the remaining cheese into the center, then rolled up the biscuit-disc into a ball and bit into it, shaking her head.

"Apparently I'm going to starve in three days, so if that's the plan... we should go ahead and get rolling on that.
This. Is. Fiiiiiine,"
she kept repeating, between mouthfuls of processed cheese-food.

Meanwhile...

Gertrude watched the shapeshifter come in with a raised eyebrow. After a while she sipped her coffee and turned back towards Maire. Cuilean flicked his forked tongue out at J-3 periodically, occasionally edging closer, and flickering pink at the ends of its fur. Rat appeared to be struggling with a particularly crafty napkin which had somehow fallen onto his face, and was simply too busy to notice.

"They be lettin' jus' anybody intae the Templar nowadays..." Chided Gertrude, from behind her coffee cup. "Anyway. Rat is a good boy then. He won' steer ya wrong... so long he doesn' get too scared at anyrate. Tha others... they'll warm up. When news of the Undercity's foundin' first made it tae the surface, the Templar came down an' tried tae help. Accounts differ, but bottom line, what tha people rememberin... 'help' quickly turned intae bloody battle an' it's a wound tha's slow tae heal," she explained, pausing to sip her coffee. Slowly she reached her hand around Cuilean's shoulder and dragged him back the inches he'd scooted towards J-3. The creature grunted with disappointment.

"Halcyon was most likely the instigator, some folk got caught in tha middle, an' then silver tongues did tha rest. Most will be slow to trust, an' aid will be hard to come by, but you're welcome here in me shop. I'll give as much aid as I kin spare, an' any information yeh might need. Tha Erlin' Siblings or Aegis'll be your best bet to find help reachin' tha surface"

"He's not the worst," Temujin gestured to Alex. "The big guy makes a good meat shield. Saved my scrap a couple times in the past. I still remember that Lake Hydra..." His voice trailed off with a shudder.

The cyber ninja's body stiffened as he realised he had let slip an uncharacteristic compliment. And immediately went about to correct it. "...Make no mistake. He's still a buffoon who can't sneak for shit."

Ako stood and stretched. "I should get back to the Workshop. My Halmeoni's gonna need some extra hands this afternoon." She turned to Yue and gave a thumbs up. "It was nice to meet you, Miss Templar! I may not fix your suit today, but stop by and I'll get you a nifty trinket in the future!"

Ako grabbed her mechanic's toolbox, waved at the rest, then trotted out. Temujin walked the opposite direction, his panther-like stride drawing him away to a soundless exit.

Seeing as things were finally getting started, Alex stretched a bit while returning Yue’s squint with a raised eyebrow. They would be lucky if all of them could get her up topside in three days tops. And her revulsion at eating monster was both hilarious and just sad really. Unpowered children in the undercity could eat the stuff with no problem after all. Moving on from that thought was a bit difficult since she began being over dramatic about the whole situation. Claiming she was gonna starve and that apparently being around him was gonna be the worst thing ever. He tried not to snort too loudly. What a pampered little Punk.
Mentally going through everyone’s part in the current plan, Alex gave a nod of approval. ” Me and Princess over there can make good timing getting to the Foundry. I have a commission to pick up from Forgemaster so it kind of works out.β€œ

Temujin’s comments did get a chuckle out of him. Remembering the times when he pulled his ass out of the proverbial frying pan, or when he himself was used as living cover for the cyborg. ” Always happy to be the tank, but for gods sake never bring up Lake Hydra. We all want to forget that clusterfuck.β€œ He would have taken a moment to reflect on that particular disaster if it wasn’t for the Cyber Ninja’s following remark. Alex scowled and grumbled in response. ” Not all of us are able to muffle sound and go invisible, Chrome Ass.β€œ He gave Temujin two middle fingers as he walked off.

As people started to get into motion Alex fiddled with his com link and phoned a friend. ”Yo it’s me. Gonna need you to check the ride right about now. I’m taking a trip to the Foundry with our wayward Templar to see if the cranky Blacksmith can lend a hand with her gear while we sort shit out.β€œ there was a hint of static on the other end before he got Dean’s usual chipper tone. ”Can do Boss, see you in a bit then. Coming costumed up or in Civvies?”
Alex pondered it for a moment. Probably for the best that he didn’t go around in full armor while Yue couldn’t suit up. Dead giveaway. ”Civvies. Won’t be long man, see you soon.β€œ He hung up and went about collapsing his armor and tucking it all away in a rolled up duffle squirrels away for these kinds of occasion.

He gave Yue an expecting look. ” Whenever you’re ready Princess.”

"Ha!" Temujin scoffed at Alex's retort. He had always appreciated the big man's spirit in the face of his taunts. It was the sign of a strong will.

"Invisibility may be my power, but moving quietly?" Temujin looked over his shoulder from a dark corner of the home. "It's a talent."

His eyelight faded, and left nothing but darkness and silence.

"Well he doesn't exactly have it easy when trying to sneak. I mean you can practically track his footfalls with a seismograph." He followed up with everyone taking a dig at Alex's less than stellar sneaking ability. When the templar kicked in with the obvious attempt at sarcasm about her being princess Raudd cracked up. "Hah, that you got right. I don't know what kind of life you live topside and what kinds of bullcrap you have to deal with, but as long you have the privilege of choosing what you do and don't eat... You're a princess compared to many in the Undercity or even the corporate estates who don't can't get three meals on the table consistently without any regards of what that meal may be. And even compared to those gathered here at the table who have enough access to food, we don't have many of the amenities you take for granted in your life topside. It's the harsh and cruel reality we live in, whether we like it or not." He said in a somber tone as he helped his sister clean up the table.

When the Templar thanked the twins for their hospitality Zolya smiled a bit and had to resist the urge to give her a headpat like one would to a little kid. "Can't exactly leave you to your fate down here now can we?"

As Alex with the princess in tow made their way out of the front door Zolya called to the two of them from the kitchen sink. "Once you're done over at Forgemaster come back here so we go over what's next. Do you have my or Raudd's number, just in case you need to contact us while we're gone." In the meantime Raudd was playing the old puzzle of trying to fit as much of the dishes into the dishwasher as possible to avoid having to do them by hand. After a bit of grumbling trying to fit everything in the already halfway filled dishwasher he managed to put everything in and set the damn thing to it's job.

Finally the two were ready to set out on their own little mission to look at the escape option Raudd figured was their best and easiest shot to get the templar out. As the two left the Stoneworks riding a set of deer Zolya had collected from the gardens. "Maybe we should consider getting some other kind of transport. The deer are nice, but it still feels kind of odd... And driving once in a while might be nice." Raudd said breaking the silence between the two, after which a slightly annoyed Zolya replied in Norse. "Is that really what we should be talking about? Isn't it about time you fill me in on your plans?"

The two then continued their conversation in Norse. "Well you know that cargo elevator? I recon that'll be our best shot of getting her out of the undercity, but I'll admit it's quite gutsy and it'll require some luck to pull it off." "And your plan is what? To smuggle her onto that elevator in a big box or something?" "I doubt that's gonna work sis, but you know what just for you I'll consider it."
