Mihael McManus's Story

Vinnie shielded herself as she was blasted by snow, flinching as snow hit and melted down her exposed tummy. She quickly flung off the remaining water, and looked around, then.. a voice came from inside the room, first someone said "Ahem. I'm sorry. What did you say your name was? Vinnie? Yeah. Pleasure to meet you really. But, now is not a good time. You see, our friend was just leaving. But, knowing him I am sure he'd love to have you over in his room for a chat." And she looked to Mihael, ready to leave but just as she was about to suggest going to find some edible food, another voice rang from inside the room, ""Don't be a stranger, come in and sit down. So, Venom, we're all here because we have special abilities, tell us what's your power?" Her power? She couldn't very well tell them her real power, maybe it /was/ best her and Mihael left. She rose her voice to speak, "I...Can talk to animals." she directed her voice inside.

Judy's ears perked when she heard another animal talker was there. Jumping out of bed, Panther followed, her tail wagging extremely fast. "Excuse me, did I hear you say you can talk to animals?" she asked, looking at the girl who's voice she heard. "I hope non of ya'll mind a Pitbull in here, she won't bite." she said, entering the room.

"Don't be a stranger, come in and sit down. So, Venom, we're all here because we have special abilities, tell us what's your power?"

Desire’s sudden extended invitation to Venom caught Caelan off guard. It’s not like the room was hers, but he refrained from speaking for the sake of social pleasantness. It would be nice if she’d ask first, at least. Guess the planning is over now. He crossed his arms almost sulkily and sat, watching the two interact. He did note a strange twitch in Desire’s face as she looked back after driving Mihael into the bed. So. I’m not the only one who’s bothered by Venom. What did she do to Mihael? Not to mention that he didn’t openly just flirt with Katherine too. Theories whirled around his mind, but nothing conclusive came to the forefront of his brain. Perhaps the matter could be cleared up more with his usual meditation routine.

Mentally making a note to think on the matter further, Caelan glanced at Katherine. His pupils briefly dilated as her eyes changed colors with the regularity of a spinning kaleidoscope. The entire process was fascinating, haunting, and intriguing. It was the first time he actually connected her powers to her emotions and her eye color as well. Is she even aware of that?, he wondered. He decided to ask about it later, once the current situation had blown over. Which, he hoped, would happen soon. His inner musings were interrupted by Katherine’s now familiar voice breaking through.

”" You have to teach me that zen thing you were doing earlier...I think I could really use it.”

”Hmm? Oh. That. Sure. I’ll teach you sometime soon, I’m going to need it eventually here in a few.

He turned his attention back to Venom, who continued to stand in the doorway. “I… Can talk to animals.” The hesitation in her voice immediately raised Caelan’s suspicions. Shyness or no, saying something about themselves that would be as obvious as their hair color should be something easily told. She was lying, but he couldn’t prove it. He opened his mouth to speak again when another voice cut through the air. ”Excuse me, did I hear you say you can talk to animals? I hope none of y’all mind a Pitbull in here, she won’t bite.” That was it.

”Nope! I’m done! Too many people in this goddamned room, I need to think. Don’t touch anything when you leave, or you’ll be paste when I find you!”, he shouted. Enough was enough, he couldn’t take it anymore. He grabbed Katherine’s wrist and dragged her out of the room with him. After rudely shoving his way past Judy, he slammed the door behind Katherine and headed off vaguely in the direction of the cafeteria, grinding his teeth. After a few moments of furious walking, he stopped and turned to Katherine. ”Sorry. But I need to meditate. So I’ll teach you while I’m practicing it myself. I can’t take that stuff after too long. Y’know?”

”Hmm? Oh. That. Sure. I’ll teach you sometime soon, I’m going to need it eventually here in a few. Caelan had looked back at her with a reply, letting her know that she wasn't the only one on edge with the current events unfolding before them. She was starting to feel a little claustrophobic in the room, as if it were getting hard to breath. Was it really the amount of people walking in or was that her fever getting worse. She ignored it as best she could. The girl with the unsettling pretty looks spoke up with an answer to Desires question. Thankfully she hadn't moved or walked into the room, regardless of Desire welcoming her into a room that wasn't hers. That seemed to be turning into a trend apparently. Kat had a feeling no one really remembered whose room they were currently in. She would have to set some very very VERY solid ground rules the next time people came over. Her future plans were pushed aside as Venom spoke in a hesitant manner. "I...Can talk to animals." Now that was a power that did not match it's owner and that was a voice that did not match her previously confident persona. Her looks didn't say animal lover but then again non of the people in this room had any physical evidence of what they were capable of. She knew for a fact that she didn't look intimidating, to some she might even look delicate like a doll. A doll with a hell of a temper and a big mouth, but a pretty doll nonetheless. Still, something was very off about this girl.

Before more thought could be put into it...yet another person peeked their head out of the corner of the door. "Excuse me, did I hear you say you can talk to animals?. I hope non of ya'll mind a Pitbull in here, she won't bite." Another girl just walked right into their room followed by a small dog. Seriously? Kat didn't know if sighing and collapsing on he bed or raging at everyone to get the hell out would matter. Somehow both sounded useless in an attempt to make a difference right now. Either way she had enough of it and was about to comment on the rudeness of it all but Caelan beat her to it. Would she ever get to say something without an interruption today? ”Nope! I’m done! Too many people in this goddamned room, I need to think. Don’t touch anything when you leave, or you’ll be paste when I find you!” Surprisingly, she didn't mind this one interruption because he basically said exactly what she was about to say. Then he did something she was not expecting at all. He grabbed her wrist and half dragged half pulled her tiny self out of the room. They bulldozed through the two girls near the door, shoving the newest girl to the side on their way out. Kat was too stunned to say anything, he looked as annoyed as she felt a few seconds ago. He was even grinding his teeth as they walked, somehow she found that kind of cute in a way a kid with a tantrum and pouty face would be cute. He kept dragging her along and her already dehydrated self started feeling a little short of breath at the speed they were going, the fever clearly having an effect on that. After a few more moments of walking he stopped. She sighed in relief, glad for the pause in movement. She wasn't out of shape but her body felt like she just ran a marathon, she tried to not how it as best she could not wanting to seem weak.



”Sorry. But I need to meditate. So I’ll teach you while I’m practicing it myself. I can’t take that stuff after too long. Y’know?” She looked up at him with a slightly pink flush on her face from the fever. Small breathless pants escaping her rosy lips. She swallowed, trying to catch her breath. Once she did she looked to the side and spoke up." It's fine. I wanted to get out of there anyway. Way too crowded. Seriously what is with them...acting like they own the plac-...." She paused for a moment. An alarming thought occurring to her. She opened her eyes wide as if genuinely concerned and spoke in a soft voice. "You...aren't going to make me float like you were right?...." She tugged on the edge of her dress and pulled it down, her face getting even more red at the thought of him peeking at her dress. Her arm trembled in embarrassed rage, about to move to slap him when someone came up behind her from out of nowhere and spoke. "Sup? Name's Ty. I couldn't help but over hear something about meditation and teaching. I might not be extremely skilled with my thing, but if you need some help I do have a few tips and tricks to help. Especially if your powers are affected by anger." Her immediate reaction was to turn around and slap the guy right in the face, half from the motion she had started to slap Caelan out of pure embarrassment and half from the sudden scare that the guy gave her by suddenly showing up out of nowhere. Seriously who sneaks up on people like that. She took a step back as a reflex to get away from the thing that spooked her and ended up bumping into Caelan.

Anger overtook Judy as she was pushed, sensing her anger, Panther started growling and barking. "Come Panther, they obviously are part of some big orgey and want us gone." she said as she left the room, slamming the door behind her. Making her way to her own room, Panther's tail low, his ears back and his eyes narrowed. "It's fine Panther" she said calmly.

But you didn't make a friend today she whimpered.

"Yes I did, remember, the pyro?" she said and collapsed onto her bed as she left the bedroom door open.With a sigh, Judy got under the covers, pulling the sheet up to her chin, she fell asleep. Panther still mad, sat right outside her door, growling at anyone who walks nearby.

Judy got annoyed when she couldn’t sleep, her stomach had been growling, taking Panther, she went to the cafeteria, saw how everyone seemed to congregate there. ”Oh I hope my prenses isn’t too much for ya’ll” she said with a sneer, she was really annoyed with people treating her like a leoper. ”Name’s Judy, in case anyone cares” she added as she walked past, Panther growling at everyone by Ty. Sneaking past them, she grabbed an apple and soda and walked slowly towards the exit, Panther smelling everyone and lightly nibbling on Ty’s hand. Turning around, she went and stood by Ty and the redhead.

After getting settled in, Passha decided to join the rest of the prisoners. Standing up, her put her heels and a corset dress on. Fluffing her hair out, she strutted down the halls. The click click click of her heels echoed down the halls as she got to the mess hall. Her glowing green eyes scanning everyone there. "Well hello fellow classmates, My name is Passhia but you can call me Fang, since, well I have a venomous bite" she said with a smile, running her tongue over her pearly white fangs. From around her neck, came a Cobra, it slithered down her legs to her side. "Don't panic, he doesn't bite. Well unless you're a cat, which I happen to smell" she said with a smile as she patted the snakes head.

"It is now time for you to return to your rooms. Anyone caught out after hours will be severely punished, guards will be posted at the end of each hall." Head mistress Aggies voice boomed on the over head speakers throughout the halls and rooms. "Wake up call will be at 6:00 A.M Sharp for another meeting in the Cafeteria at 7:00AM Followed by breakfast at 8:00 A.M"
The announcement ended with a loud screech.

Rayne looked up from her sketching, and figured she might as well just go to her room. She walked along the halls and found her room 118A once again, she slid the door open and plopped on her bed cranking up her head phones, and began drawing on another piece of paper. This time it was a landscape of mountains met by a foaming ocean, with dark storm clouds on the horizon. She felt the picture was perfect for the situation. She couldn't figure out if she was the mountain standing strong and tall through the storm, or the ocean, a mix of turmoil, lost, and trapped forever. She shook her head, and unzipped her backpack, getting out her colored pencils. She began to shade the storm clouds dark blacks and purples, and the ocean various dark blues and whites.

The blaring sound hurt Venoms' ears, she covered her right ear as it rang from the loud screech. 'Bed? Now? Na. For a minute, I guess.' She thought and pretended to look for her room. But she already knew this place like the back of her hand, she had spent months studying the map of the school. '116A' The room door read, she entered and turned on the bathroom light, fixing her hair. She took a last look, satisfied and lightly sat on her bed, waiting for something to happen.
