Amelia Dunston
---------------------------

Still concentrating on her feet as they swished and sloshed beneath the waterline of the pool, Amelia gave an internal sigh as she listened to Marshall backhand her attempts to make him feel better, she wasn't disappointed, she just felt as though she had wasted her speech - something usually so preciously kept to herself. Then, when Marshall suggested swimming again, Amelia peered up and nodded, thinking that perhaps swimming could make him feel better, as he had suggested.

Once Marshall had entered the water again and the re-surfaced, Amelia stayed on the edge for a bit, observing him as he flickered and twitched in and out of visibility, For a moment Amelia just watched him, wondering why he flickered so much but to avoid the situation becoming awkward due to her staring for too long, Amelia dived back into the water too.

Upon resurfacing, Amelia took a gasp of air and felt suddenly at ease. The water seemed to have a cooling effect. But Marshall still flickered, which made Amelia even more curious. "Marshall" she began trying to hover in one spot in the pool as she spoke, "Why are you fading?" she continued watching as his existence slowly became ghost-like and then re-appeared again.

Judy just wanted to have a few female friends for once in her life. As she made her way back to her dorm, she began to cry, which made Panther upset. All her life she was never one to have friends. Animals were here only friends. Crying as she got to her dorm, putting Panther down, she threw herself down on her bed and sobbed.

Passhia and her Cobra entered the room, seeing some people leave, she decided to stay and sit on a near by table, taking a lollipop out of her pocket, she unwrapped it and stuck it between her lips, taking it out again to talk, ”I’m not exactly someone you want to mess with, but I can be friendly, and I guess to fill the time in this hell hole, I could use a few friends.” she said looking around, hoping someone heard her, her cobra wound itself around her neck and seemed to disappear.

”Bella Gates, get your things, you’re not staying here” came the voice of a man, her mother was no where in sight. Bella packed her things and threw her collar in the bag, she also dusted off her wings, and quickly packed her bags. Time seemed to fly when she arrived at the new school.

Her feathery wings were folded behind her as she walked across the grounds, once she entered, she could smell all sorts of things, the only thing that gave away the fact that she was a shape shifter were the cat ears perched up on her head, which would twitch everytime she heard something, as she got to a bench, something didn’t feel right to her, pondering what it could be, she ignored it and marked it off as the sushi she ate for dinner.

Waiting in the lobby, she waited her assigned room, and began cleaning her feathery wings. Feeling the need to spread them, she put her bags down and began to flap her wings, they pulled her up, and she flapped them more, taking her higher to the ceiling, ”My it’s awfully dirty up here” she said with a cough, with one swoop of her wings, she was back on her feet, folding her wings around her, boredom overtook her, with a crack she lost her wings, and was now a small, black kitten. Wandering the halls she began meowing.

Ty was still too focused on the snake to notice that Katherine had left, and by the time he did she was long gone. Ty then glanced over to the group of guys having a argument, a pretty angry one. He didn't think anything of it until a bunch of knives starting floating around from the kitchen, all pointed at one of the guys. Ty clenched his fist and prepared to step in if things escalated. Luckily things didn't, because the half visible guy who seemed to be the cause of it left. He was soon followed by the guy who stood up for Ty.
"Ooook then." Ty said as he turned around and realized that Judy had left and Passhia has seemed to lost interest in him. "Well now I'm a little hurt." Ty muttered to himself, realizing that everyone he's talked to just up and left him without a word. Ty went over to the food line, and got himself a tray of that government made slop. Ty quickly scarfed it down, hoping the quicker he ate the better it would taste, of course it didn't. Once he was done he tossed his garbage away and threw his over to where it'd be cleaned and left the cafeteria.
Ty calmly walked back to his room. He couldn't stop thinking about that walking superiority complex. Ty grew up with people like him all his life, but guy in particular bothered him. Was it that whatever his end game is it would Ty and everyone else down with him? Or that he was dragging a nice girl like Katherine along with him? He was seriously bugging him. Speaking of the devil, on his way to his room he saw a big painting of the guy. "Seriously?!" Ty growled. This could not stand.
Ty quickly ran to his room and searched through his backpack. "Come on. Where are you, you little bastard?" Ty muttered as he dug through his backpack. "Ah-ha!" Ty called out in victory as he pulled out a spray can. "Spray paint, never leave home without it." Ty said as he returned to the painting. Ty took the cap off the can with his mouth and thoroughly shook it. Ty quickly spray painted a pair of circular glasses, buck teeth, and a large arrow going through his head. It wasn't his best work, but hopefully it was enough to keep the guy's inflated ego in check.
Ty quickly returned to his room and tossed his spray can across the room. The can hit the back wall and rolled underneath his bed. Ty looked over at his backpack, realizing that he hasn't even unpacked yet. His mortal foe procrastination wins again. Ty picked up his pack, and took out a large candle and placed on his nightstand. He then quickly and lazily dumped all of the backpack's contents into the drawers of his dresser. As he was dumping a closed envelope fell out. Ty tossed his now empty backpack aside and picked up the envelope. "Mom must have snuck this in here." Ty said with half a smile. It was probably another good bye. He felt kind of bad at how he left things with her, he was just pissed that he was forced into some half-baked X-mansion.
Ty turned the envelope over and saw the words 'To: Ty From: Dad' written on the front. Ty's blood started to boil at the mere reading of his dad. Ty's hands then started to smoke, and heat started to emit from Ty in waves. The envelope then went up in flames, leaving only small bits of ash. Ty's hands were still smoking as he took deep breaths in and out. "No, no, no, no, no. Not now. Not now." Ty kept repeating. Ty quickly took out his IPhone before his hands got too hot to be able to touch it, and played 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin. Ty lite his candle, and stared intently into the flame. The flame grew larger and small with each of his breaths. Before long his hands finally stopped smoking and started cooling down.

Jurou simply stood there in silence as Utrien and Michael spoke to him. They obviously weren't very pleased with his actions but, at least they didn't seem to really hate him. Yet. His bawled fists slowly loosened before becoming open hands as he let out a long, annoyed sigh. Rubbing the back of his head he looked at the knives on the floor again. "Perhaps... I went too far..." Jurou muttered to himself as he looked around the much less lively cafeteria. He felt so odd in silence. Only one other person were there. And as much as he wanted to go and talk to her, he had something he needed to do and quick.

Jurou quickly began to run back towards the dorms, and he was a pretty damn quick runner, not so good on his brakes though on this kind of flooring with so many turns and corners. Nonetheless he continued to run, paused for a second as he saw an amusing spray paint art over a painting of some man he was unsure who they were but they mustn't be very liked. It made him laugh lightly and he continued running. He was in such a hurry that he completely ran right past Michael and Utrien.
Entering his dorm finally, he quickly got undressed, taking every item of clothing off until he was butt naked, then he shifted into his cat form once again. He needed to hurry before Marshall's scent might disappear, he felt rather panicked now, as if he had a time limit, it was so odd. Quickly, the now feline Jurou hurried out of his dorm, leaving the door open behind him and ran off past the two once again. His mind was focused on only one thing. Getting to Marshall. Anything that might have gotten in his way he'd just ignore. He would travel through the shadows, being a black cat it would be harder to spot him. Sniffing the air he caught a faint trail and followed it. It ended unfortunately, became too faint at two places he could have gone, the pools or court yard. He remembered earlier that Marshall went to the pools, he seemed to like it there. This was very challenging for him, to enter a room full of his biggest fear. But he had to do it. He wanted to do it.

Jurou pushed open the door with his strong, feline body, simply leaning against it as hard as he could before it finally opened rather loudly too, so much for a quiet entrance. He just hoped Marshall wouldn't threaten him again, even though they had both probably cooled off by now, it was easy to light a fuse in Jurou. "Marshall!" He managed to yell out to the man as he sat there in front of the door in his cat form. He was quite puffed, usually he didn't get tired this easily but today had been a long day. He froze up a little when he saw there was another here, a female he hadn't seen before, and also the huge amount of water they were in was scaring the crap out of him. Luckily cats didn't show much expression. "Marshall I uh... I wanted to, to... Um." Why was it so damn hard to apologise? Just spit it out Jurou! "I-I'm sorry!" Yes, he finally managed to stutter out an apology, it was hard to stay focused in front of a stranger and a room full of fear, his fear. "I went too far... I never want to make anyone feel like crap but today I don't know, I just. I was an idiot." Well it's a start, you might need to do better than that though Jurou. He wasn't the apologetic type, it was rare to see him apologise, he was usually quite stubborn and it was hard for him to admit he was wrong, perhaps he was becoming much more mature over the past few years.

"Teaching: How hard can it be?"

"No, sorry... sport is my form of meditating and since I can not...I will go have to find something else, so that I do not disturb your session.." With that rather short remark, the small girl with the baseball bat left. Caelan might be second guessing the general age group of the school, but she seemed incredibly young to be here. She looked no older than ten years old, but he'd seen stranger things in this world. He could control the ebb and flow of gravity while his brother could bend and sculpt time as an artist sculpts clay. What more could truly surprise him, when he really got down to it? Is she with that other group of students, the Cafeteria crowd? While unlikely, he couldn't readily dismiss the potential connection so easily. Anyone against the goal of his brother and himself would be swept away like chaff before the wind. There was no alternate course. Any who could not bend would be broken by the forces of the world itself. However, the insufferable boy from the cafeteria did have a point. Not a very strong one, but a point nontheless. If they did alienate them to the side of the school, they would provide another irritant to their conquest. Who knows what else the school was hiding, but it wouldn't take too long for Mihael, Desire, Katherine, and himself to surmount the challenge. Caelan couldn't help but faintly smile at the thought of subjugating this place. It'd be a blow for the good of people like them. To show they wouldn't be subjugated easily. Not by a long shot.

"You know...I am starting to feel lucky I got you as a roommate instead of a girl. The people here are a special kind of strange...Almost creeps me out to think of what it would be like to room with someone like Desire or Venom. Psh. That would not end well. Caelan returned his eyes to Katherine as she spoke. In spite of the blazing desert sun, Caelan's eyes dilated. A faint breeze blew towards him, lifting Katherine's crimson tresses and causing them to dance about her face, while her silvery grey eyes seemed to cut through to his very core. His brain struggled to keep noting the details while his heart rate increased so his brain could do what it wished. Again, time seemed to stand still, but Caelan was looking forward to the phenomenon. He couldn't explain it, but he knew it was happening. When time seemed to stop entirely, Caelan's brain went into over drive. Everything had to be remembered as perfectly as possible. The heat, the breeze dancing across his face, the cloudless sky, and the silence that seemed to envelop the entire courtyard. Most of all, her. He wanted to remember her. Even in this prison, he felt himself truly fortunate to have met someone like her. Someone who he could honestly call a friend, an ally. He hoped she would think of him in a similar light, and her small smile seemed to confirm his unspoken thought. She stood straighter, as if trying to be more intimidating, and her smile seemed to grow ever so slightly. "What's my first lesson, Sensei?"

Caelan laughed lightly, and gently beckoned her over. "Approach, student, so that we may begin." A laugh almost seemed to permeate Caelan's words. He honestly was enjoying himself, for now, at least. The thought of his own inner selves battling it out for supremacy of his powers made the necessity of self control a pressing matter on his mind. While he'd also be teaching her, he needed to seek control so he wouldn't need to rely on Mihael being there if he lost control. He gestured to a spot just in front of him and sat down, choosing to cross his legs like he had before. "Sit, and we'll begin. Make sure you are comfortable, but don't slouch so that you might fall asleep. We want you to be as relaxed as possible without out-right sleeping. That's too relaxed. Next, breath normally. I won't be super strict with how you should breathe, but it should flow. Don't impede it, let it come and go. Then, when you are satisfied with your breathing, let your thoughts copy the air you breathe. Let it flow, let it run free. Don't seek to control it, let it take its own course. If they disturb you, gently try and move them away. Let the river of your thoughts flow free. Don't try to block the flow, you'll get dragged under and lose control faster than you'd ever realize. Just relax, let it do what it will, and you will be more in control when you'd ever thought possible." He smiled, satisfied with his own explanation. "If you think you've got it, show me. Just relax, Kat. Relax, and let your mind do its own work."

Maya felt overjoyed as the blonde who seemed on good terms with the downcast boy spoke. While he did it in an unusual way, his actions and words seemed to cheer the boy up. She believed that they could easily sort things out. If you ignored the fact one of them was attached to the ceiling with some sort of tentacles, which amazed Maya so much she gasped, the scene in front of her was completely normal. Something you could find anywhere, not just a messed up school for people with powers. Things like friendship and understanding were something this place needed more of.

Not wanting to disturb their little bonding moment any longer, Maya made her way back to her room with a warm feeling in her heart. It didn’t seem as if her roommate was back while she was gone. Going from the cafeteria and her room was the only journey Maya really made inside these walls but just that gave her so many new experiences. She met people like never before, some might have been less than friendly but overall she could get used to this. It made her curious as to what class would be like. She really couldn’t see all these people behaving in a classroom environment. It would make for some funny moments for sure.

She sat down on her bed and suddenly felt the urge to write. She opened up her bag and pulled out a note book. She noted all the people she met today and their basic characteristics from what she could see. It seemed like something she could do whenever she was bored or just met new unusual people. She then put away her writing a lied down, her feet hanging of the side. She was particularly tired and started making illusions of random things which popped into her head at the time.

“Why are you fading?” Amelia asked Marshall as the two of them were swimming.
“You know, I’m not sure.” He said “ It started happening this afternoon while I was at lunch. One of the girls brought a dog into the mess hall, not sure that should be allowed, and I started flickering off and on ever since, the best I can get is ghost-like visibility. I’ve never been that great with controlling it, I mean I’ve mastered staying invisible when I want to, but there are times when I just disappear out of nowhere. I think it might be tied to my emotions some how.” At that moment he heard the rusty hinges of the door screeching in protest as someone opened the door to the pool area. He didn’t turn to see who it was as he was facing Amelia and didn’t want to ignore her. As he heard the door screech shut again he noticed that Amelia had cocked her head to the side with the same confused look she had given him when he was crying earlier. Then he heard the voice.
“Marshall!”
Before he even turned around he had put it all together; the look on Amelia’s face and that voice he recognized all too well. He turned to see the large black cat he figured was there. Something was a bit off about him, though. His copper eyes shimmered with a glint of fear. He didn’t know why, but he decided the right thing to was to listen to what he had to say.

"Marshall I uh... I wanted to, to... Um."

“Why was he stuttering?” he wondered

"I-I'm sorry!"

“WHAT!? He’s actually apologizing?

"I went too far... I never want to make anyone feel like crap but today I don't know, I just. I was an idiot."

Marshal turned to Amelia, still looking more confused than ever. “That’s my roommate I mentioned earlier. You’ll have to excuse me for a second.” He pulled himself out of the pool and grabbed his towel off the chair and dried off a bit. He walked over to Jurou and sat down next to him.

“You are one … brave little SOB, you know that? You came down here in your cat form, the form you’re most vulnerable in, when I just threatened your life, then you swallow your pride and apologize to me? Not to mention Utrien is probably in the halls out there, talk about taking your life into your own hands.” He chuckled a little. “Look you aren’t the only one who over reacted, I… I’m an idiot too. I know it was you talking, I saw your lips move, but I swear all I heard was my dad’s voice. That was the same kinda thing he used to say. So, yeah, I’m sorry too. It was just one of those things where we didn’t know we were pushing each other’s buttons, hell, I didn’t even know I had buttons to push. That kinda scares me ya know? I don’t wanna make anyone feel like crap either, and sure as fuck don’t want to hurt anyone, but it was like I could barely control myself. I guess sixteen years is too long to hold a grudge, huh?” He smiled as he looked down at Jurou, resisting the incredibly powerful urge to pet him because he didn’t think it was appropriate when there was a person in the kitty. “So are we good?”

Her words had the most satisfying response from him she could hope for, he laughed. The sound was better than anything she had heard all day, it almost made her forget the shitty moments she had been through. Almost. With that same warm smile on his lips he motioned for her to get closer. "Approach, student, so that we may begin." It almost seemed as if he were having fun right now, as opposed to an infuriatingly annoying time that nearly drew him to public property destruction and accidental (or not so accidental) murder of innocent (or maybe not so much) bystanders in the cafeteria. For a moment it made her think of what it would be like to have him drowning in a nightmare and have his powers activate in his sleep. She swallowed at the thought of becoming a tiny rectangle of oozing blood on her bed without even waking up to feel it happening. At least she would die quickly and unaware right? Right...She shuddered the thought away and gingerly moved forward to the spot Caelan had pointed at just in front of him.

"Sit, and we'll begin. Make sure you are comfortable, but don't slouch so that you might fall asleep. We want you to be as relaxed as possible without out-right sleeping. That's too relaxed."She stopped a moment and maneuvered her jacket in a way that it covered her legs as to not flash him before sitting down in front of him. She attempted to mimic his cross legged pose, not without effort, and was surprised that it was a lot more comfortable than it looked. She did all this while listening to his instructions. His words were both clear and hysterically confusing. It almost sounded as if her were telling her relax but don't relax. To get comfortable till she feels like she is going to fall asleep but don't dare fall asleep. Did he want her to calm herself or not? She decided on yes and straightened her back while wiggling her hips until she felt snuggled into her spot. The boy continued his explanation, jumping right into the intricate method of breathing.

"Next, breath normally. I won't be super strict with how you should breathe, but it should flow. Don't impede it, let it come and go. " He made her conscious of her breathing in a way that she now felt every breath, it no longer happened automatically. Curse him. She felt the warm air go into her nose and slide into her lunges, making her exhale in a way that she felt like a raging fire breathing dragon. Why was desert air so hot? Even now when the sun had started going down in the afternoon that temperature lingered. She repeated the motion until somehow she got used to the heat. She closed her eyes, concentrating only on the air going in and out of her body. At first it felt forced, robotic and almost bizarre but as she kept doing it her mind started wondering somewhere else allowing her body to move on it's own. That awareness of the oxygen filling her lungs slowly drifting to the back of her mind once more, letting the natural survival instincts kick in and take over. It made her feel so comfortable that a light haze started covering her mind, she was getting sleepy. She almost missed the next part of what he said, bordering on falling asleep, but she willed her ears to listen and her mind to stay up.

"Then, when you are satisfied with your breathing, let your thoughts copy the air you breathe. Let it flow, let it run free. Don't seek to control it, let it take its own course. If they disturb you, gently try and move them away. Let the river of your thoughts flow free. Don't try to block the flow, you'll get dragged under and lose control faster than you'd ever realize. Just relax, let it do what it will, and you will be more in control when you'd ever thought possible." Her thoughts? What was she suppose to be thinking of? How could thoughts flow? This was giving her a slight headache, too much thinking going on in her head. She arched an eyebrow when the word flow echoed through her mind. Flow? Water could flow couldn't it? Yes. Water is always flowing. She had all but disconnected from the rest of the world with those words floating in her head. His next words finished sending her into that whirlpool in her head. "If you think you've got it, show me. Just relax, Kat. Relax, and let your mind do its own work."

In her mind it was as if someone had just pushed her into a pool and she was sinking deeper and deeper into it's dark depths. Initially she felt freezing cold as if the water around her was secretly turning to ice without actually letting her see it's solid form. Feelings of fear overwhelmed her, panic set in as she struggled helplessly against the waters gravity. Pillars of bubbles scattered around her in a final dance for freedom, she reached for them but they would just slip through her fingers like sand and continue their venture towards the surface. Her arms seemed to glow with electricity, a dim light running through her veins all the way to her finger tips. Once it touched her fingers the water around her hand would freeze into ragged shapes of ice like a crystallized thunderbolt floating to the surface. Once it hit the air above it spread in every direction, covering the waters surface in a thick sheet of jaggedly sharp ice. Now even the enthusiastic bubbles trembled in fear against the cold wall that stopped them. They were so close yet so impossibly far away from freedom, splitting into smaller versions of themselves as the shards of ice sliced them in half. Her eyes had that same ghostly white glow her arms had seconds ago, a sure tell sign of her ice power running loose. She tried to close her hands into fists to stop herself but the cold had made them numb to the point they wouldn't move. This can't be happening...

On the outside, back in the courtyard in front of Caelan something strange and dangerous was happening. At first her body was still, her breathing slow and peaceful. It was as if she had fallen into a trance ans was just calm. Then suddenly she took a sharp breath almost like a gasp, her body tensing and the air around her dropping rapidly in temperature. Everything directly next to her had gotten very cold, small chunks of frost started covering her legs, arms and the ground beneath her. As her nervous breathing continued the frost took form. Bursting in a circular area around her at odd angles in the same jaggedly sharp shapes they had in her current nightmare. One such blade stopped inches from Caelans face, not one of the blades reaching farther than that distance in any direction. Although alarming and dangerous, when they stopped moving they were breathtakingly beautiful. The ice almost looked like a rose surrounding her, a clear crystal rose of ice. The sun shining down on it sent a prism of colors into the air, miniature rainbows decorating the thin chilly mist that surrounded Kat in her frosty prison. Her long crimson hair stood out within it like a candle in a dark room, giving her an almost mystical aura. She had never created such a large amount of ice instantaneously or consciously, but this did not take the form of a hostile attack. No. It was almost as if the ice were trying to shield her from something. Her powers, being so linked to her emotions, had sensed her panic and reacted as a shield but stopped almost instantly when they could not find a target. How could her powers defend her against her own mind? The expression on her face was one of calmness, the only sign of her distress having been the gasp from earlier. It was almost as if her cold numb boy represented the calm still exterior.

Back inside her head she was still sinking. Her lungs burned with pain, she couldn't hold her breath for much longer. The cold was making it even harder to hold it in, to not try and gasp for air underwater. She had to move, she had to get out of this state of falling but she couldn't make her body respond. It had fallen asleep from the cold and the fear she felt. Suddenly a searing pain shot through her head, her ears ringing.
" You are so pathetic. Always loosing control over nothing, you should be ashamed of how weak you are Katherine. An echoing voice spoke to her. In that moment everything froze. The water, the bubbles, the pain, the cold, the sound...her heart and her breathing. Everything just stopped. There was nothing but silence. Black and white silence. Was someone talking to her? No. That voice was the same voice she always heard during her sleep, during those restless nights she fought against raging fevers due to her over use of power. This wasn't someone else. It was her own voice trying to drag her deeper into this black hole. She was harder on herself than anyone about her power control. It had been over a year and she had gotten nowhere with learning to keep herself under control. " Yes, you can make ice cover the bottom of someones bed, you can make steam force people to want to faint, hell you can get someone lost in a cloud of fog or mist, but honestly? How impressive is that really Katherine? You can only manipulate it in such short bursts and quantities that you should be considered as hostile as a child with a snowball or a hairdryer . I'm shaking in fear oh no ! Your going to melt me with a hairdryer someone save me. HAHAHA. As if. The voice was clawing at her mind, making it feel like her head was splitting in half. One half pushing her to try and use her powers more even if they were destroying her with each try and the other half whispering such poisonous words about how hopeless she was every time she failed an attempt.

She had not proven the voice wrong with her actions and outbursts today but she still refused to listen. You will fall by your own hand one day Katherine, you will fall. Those pretty little tricks you like to do will slice you open in your sleep like a Christmas present. You will be all alone as you slowly bleed to death. You are going to decorate that comfy little bed with the same crimson mane you carry everyday. It will be a sight to see when y-... NO !!!!! THAT WON'T HAPPEN ! SHUT UP! You don't know what you are saying! I-.. Her silent scream and manifested as nothing more than a tear falling over her cheek in real life, her breathing had stopped. That soft warm breeze that had played with her hair before had now pushed the thin mist away from them, making Caelans view of Kat that much clearer. That was enough, she had enough of this ridiculous and scary dream. She had enough of her mental attacks on herself. She forced her hand to move within that frozen prison, pointing it down to the darkness bellow her. Her hand began to glow pure white as a pillar of thick ice shot down towards the darkness. The light moving in unison through it, destroying the black hole beneath her.Her real body in reality had begun to hyperventilate, the ice around her shaking and cracking into piles of slush or melting into puddles all together. Back in her head the pillar hit solid ground, the bottom of the pool, and pushed her entire body upwards like a rag doll as it kept growing. She braced herself for the impact on the solid ice wall above, her lungs not being able to bare the strain any longer gave in. She took a breath. She felt the rush of water try to drown every inch of her throat and her lungs. She choked as her body hit the ice hard...except she didn't feel it. Her eyes had opened in the real world at the exact moment she should have hit the surface. She fell forward to her hands and knees coughing and panting frantically, water actually coming out of her mouth as if she had actually swallowed some from the dream.

She spoke in a weak voice, in between her panting and coughing, trying to get herself under control.
" Y-you know...Yous-should...r-really...t-think about where s-som...s-someones mind will wonder in that s-state." She was taking longer breaths now and had stopped coughing. She looked up at him with big grey eyes, eyes that were filled with new found confidence, and a huge grin on her lips. "Not everyone is as ready to fight their inner demons as I am. Then again I am pretty bad ass." She rolled over into one of the puddles and groaned as she felt her clothes get wet, but she didn't move. She had just jumped a hurdle she had been trying to pass for over a year. An obstacle that she was keeping herself from over coming. All because she remembered one thing. She wasn't alone. She had someone, for now, standing beside her to help her. A tall, tanned, snow haired, golden eyed devil from the middle of nowhere. In a way he had become her guardian angel and even she didn't know it. She laughed in relief, sighing with an almost exhausted tone before speaking." Man do I suck at this. You tell me to relax and I go on an all out gladiator battle with myself inside my head. Well...in my defense I won. Maybe next time it will go smoother. Now that i don't have that booby trap in there..." This time she only smiled, too tired to laugh or move. Would he laugh at her failure? Would he be mad at her not taking it more seriously? Would he ask her to leave or not want her as a partner anymore? Suddenly all these fears ran through her head. She looked up at him for the first time since she returned to the land of the conscious living to find out.

Passha sighed as the last person ran out of the room, and laid back on the table, her snake recoiled around her arm, her green eyes flickered as she blinked, waiting for someone to approach her and talk maybe. She began to sing aloud, waiting and waiting, her snake began to get itchy, when Passha looked over, she noticed he was shedding. "Oh Peek! You're shedding!" she said with a squeal. She then began taking off the easy skin to peel.

Once she was rinsed, she applied a glop of shampoo to her hand and started scrubbing it in, after a minute she rinsed her hair and turned off the water, scrubbing the water from her body she put on her PJs. Dried her hair and went to Ty's door. She knocked, "Hey Ty, it's Judy, can I come in?" she asked, petting Panther as she waited

Michael, startled by Jurou rushing past, blinked and sat up. "What...?" His brows furrowed and he got to his feet. "Come on Utrien. I think the idiots are finally coming to their senses."

Michael took the moment to help Utrien to his feet, despite knowing he needed no such help with all those tentacles squiggling about. They still creeped him out, it was the sentiment he cared about, as sort of a thanks to Utrien for being his friend. Such small gestures mattered a lot to him. "Come on." Michael hurried along the halls, pulling Utrien along with him. They ran after Jurou following what he later discovered was a trail of his clothing scattered along the floor. He picked them up, bewildered by the fact that Jurou yet again had turned into a cat. His clothes where gathered up, bunched in Michael's arms. He blushed incredibly when he picked up Jurou's boxers, trying not to think of a completely nude Jurou on the loose. He hadn't really thought deeply about it but Jurou was quite attractive and.....judging by his clothes, he smelled nice. Michael shook his head, again trying not to think about it and hurried along trying his best to follow where he might have gone next.

The pair got to the Pool room just in time to spot Jurou slipping through the double doors. "Don't burst in." He whispered to Utrien, adjusting Jurou's clothing in his arms. He peered through the windows in the doors and cracked the door open ever so slightly to listen.

"I went too far... I never want to make anyone feel like crap but today I don't know, I just. I was an idiot."

I guess sixteen years is too long to hold a grudge, huh?”

Michael smiled to himself, still peering through the window with his honey colored eyes. "Those idiots. Honestly." He murmured

Utrien blinked as Jurou passed them. He seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere and Michael was leaning on him; Even if he wanted to, he couldn't really chase after him.

To his surprise, Michael helped him up to go after Jurou. As he stood up, he was already being hauled down the hallway. He retracted his tentacles and ran alongside Michael. They followed the trail of clothes that Michael seems insistent on picking up. Utrien kicked the t-shirt up and plopped it with the others in Michaels arms. 'Looks like they were following a stripper version of hansel and gretel.' Utrien chuckled as that crossed his mind.

They followed Jurou right up to a double set of doors, and on michaels command peeked through the windows instead of entering. As he heard the part about him being in the halls, Utrien couldn't help but sarcastically whisper to Michael "What am i, some sort of deadly predator?"

Nevertheless as they made up, Utrien couldn't help the smile that appeared. "You're telling me," he agreed with Michael.

The flame continued to grew and shrink in perfect rhythm with Ty's breath. He was then interrupted by Judy knocking on the door. 'Judy? She certainly has a strange sense of timing.' Ty thought as he answered the door. "Hey. You've got some sense of timing." Ty said as he gestured for her to come in.
Ty went over to the nightstand where the candle was still lite, and Stairway to Heaven was playing on a loop. With a simple flick of his wrist, Ty put out the candle's flame. He then paused the music. "Not that I don't mind you stopping by, but is something the matter?" Ty asked as he sat on his bed.

What happened in there!?

Caelan watched as Katherine slowly settled into a relaxed sitting positon, regulate her breathing, and settle into a meditative state. He had to admit, he was impressed. She settled right into the routine as if it were no big deal at all. Maybe she has more patience than I do? Well, there’s no maybe about it. She’s definitely more patient than I am. Far and away. Maybe I can learn something from this as well. He continued to watch Katherine as she descended into the meditative trance he always knew he sank into during his personal sessions. Momentarily distracted, he got lost in observing. The slow rhythmic rise and fall of her chest, along with the faint dancing of her hair in the breeze, captivated him. It was almost like a scene out of a movie. A movie I never thought I’d see. How many times did Caelan and I tease each other about how I’d never get close to anyone ever? Looks like I win, brother. For once. He continued to watch her meditate, enjoying the view.

The cool breeze seemed to bring the entire scene together. Wait.. Cold? Why’s it cold? Small, rapidly growing patches of ice began to appear on Katherine’s skin and clothing. Caelan reached outward to wake her up, then recoiled a moment later as Katherine sharply drew in breath, almost as if she’s in pain. Caelan leaned forward to try to reach her again when icy blades erupted from Katherine. One blade stopped just short of his face, causing him to thank his fortune that he didn’t lean forward to help her at that exact moment. The blade startled him enough for him to fall backwards, getting a larger view of the sculpture surrounding Katherine. The ice, forming a rose with her as the center, momentarily made his jaw hang loose. She almost looked like a princess from fantasy stories, frozen in time for her safety and until her prince would come to save her. Recovering from where he fell, Caelan could only watch and hope she wouldn’t accidentally freeze to death in her icy shell. Moments stretched like years. Caelan decided that enough was enough, he’d break her out of there if he had to. Not even a full step was taken when the ice began to dissipate. He rushed forward as Katherine fell, vomiting an alarming amount of water that hadn’t been there before.

” Y-you know...Yous-should...r-really...t-think about where s-som...s-someones mind will wonder in that s-state.” She was coughing and shaking, the water finally out of her system. He crossed the short distance to where she knelt and knelt himself, waiting to see whether or not she’d pass out. Rather shockingly, instead of a look of terror, she radiated confidence and self-assurance. A large grin adorned her face as she looked up at him. ”Not everyone is as ready to fight their inner demons as I am. Then again I am pretty bad ass. Man do I suck at this. You tell me to relax and I go on an all out gladiator battle with myself inside my head. Well...in my defense I won. Maybe next time it will go smoother. Now that I don't have that booby trap in there..." Caelan smiled with relief and extended a hand to help her up. ”Yes, a badass you are, it seems. Next time, if you’ve got potentially dangerous reactions to stress, let me know ahead of time, eh? He chuckled on the outside, while he ignored the massive knot of tension that tried to batter its way out of his stomach. ”So, come on. Let’s get you dry. Even in this head, it can’t be good for you to stay that soaked. Do I need to help you back to the room? Will you be okay? Or do we need to stay here for a little while? We’ve got the rest of the day. Just be careful, yeah? Can’t have you crashing now, we’ve got a school to topple, right?"A brief moment passed before questions flew from Caelan's mouth. "What happened? What did you see? Why did your powers react like that? You nearly speared me! Are you okay? Do I need to be worried about being frozen to death if you have a nightmare? Are you settled, now? Do I need to do something? What was with all of that water? How did that happen? Did you almost drown yourself!?"

[OOC= I was away for a few days, sorry for no notice. Also lazy post bc I'm tired ;-;]

Amelia nodded once Marshall mentioned his invisibility, it made sense to her once he explained it and how he thought it could be linked to emotions, most powers are controlled by the emotion of the bearer which is perhaps why Amelia had mastered her power so easily - because she had no emotion (or at least seemed like he did). After excusing himself, Marshal got out of the pool and headed over to the cat which had entered and called his name and an apology, which didn't phase Amelia much, she simply kept swimming for a bit, not wanting to intrude until their conversation had finished.

But Amelia assumed the talking cat person had seen her with Marshall, so she knew she couldn't just avoid being notice. So after Marshall's small speech Amelia climbed up the pool ladder and headed to her things in the one corner, then toweling off and slipping her feet into the sandals before she walked her way gradually over to the two of them and stood by Marshall's side, "You were not the man in the courtyard, were you?" she asked, looking down to the cat as she wondered if her assumption from earlier was right. If she was right, Amelia wondered what the man in the courtyard had experienced in order to get so angry, perhaps he was linked to the two stood near her? Perhaps they knew? Amelia would have to ask them, though she thought it best that the pool was not the time nor place to be asking questions that could either be totally un-related or just another spark to the flame.

He was kneeling right beside her before the words had finished coming out of her mouth. For the briefest moment in time, not even a full second, she saw fear and deep worry etched on his face. Those emotions, however, vanished without a trace leaving nothing but another of his killer smiles lingering on his lips that would mimic hers and two golden spheres full of genuine relief. Seeing her smile made him put such a tender look that it almost made her feel embarrassed. She didn't have a moment to waste on her bashfulness because his hand had reached towards her. She took it gladly as he spoke. ”Yes, a badass you are, it seems. Next time, if you’ve got potentially dangerous reactions to stress, let me know ahead of time, eh?" She smirked and answered him almost instantly as she sat up, saying in a ridiculously serious matter of fact tone. " Caelan. I have a high risk of potentially dangerous reactions or side effects related to stress, anger or panic filled situations. Not that you haven't noticed but...just giving you a heads up." The boy chuckled and continued to speak as he began to pull her up to her feet, her jacket dripping on the side from how soaked the puddle had left it and,due to gravity pulling the water back down to the ground, started making a new miniature puddle.

”So, come on. Let’s get you dry. Even in this heat, it can’t be good for you to stay that soaked. Do I need to help you back to the room? Will you be okay? Or do we need to stay here for a little while? We’ve got the rest of the day. Just be careful, yeah? Can’t have you crashing now, we’ve got a school to topple, right?" She nodded on the getting herself dry part and considered her options. Her first option would be to wait till the heat dried her clothes, which by the constant drip of her clothes might take a while even if she would eventually dry, but then she could catch a cold. Her second option would be to go back to the room, possibly shower and change and dry her clothes, but then there was the risk of there still being unwanted guests in there. The third option would be to possibly use her powers to almost air dry herself with steam, but then she might accidentally burn herself in the process and she was not about to strip in front of him to just dry her clothes by themselves. There was also the option of attempting to manipulate the water off of her but after that less than fun underwater adventure in her head she wasn't up to using her powers at this very instant.

Only a brief moment had passed during her thought deliberating before questions flew from Caelan's mouth like an erupting volcano. She blinked, overwhelmed by his sudden outburst and flurry of words. It almost felt like she was drowning in words this time, the sound covering every inch of space between them. "What happened? What did you see? Why did your powers react like that? You nearly speared me! Are you okay? Do I need to be worried about being frozen to death if you have a nightmare? Are you settled, now? Do I need to do something? What was with all of that water? How did that happen? Did you almost drown yourself!?" She could not get a word in even if she tried, much like the rest of today she didn't have enough presence so she did the next best thing. She would make him notice. In her half sitting half kneeling position she pulled herself forward with his hand as leverage, her hair falling over the front of her dress with the movement. Her other hand grabbed hold of his shirt for balance until she was kneeling directly in front of him, her face so close to his that he would feel her breath on his lips. She stared at him with a determined but amused look, as if she were holding back a laugh but too stubborn to not go through with this.

" Oy ! Comrade. How am I supposed to answer any of that if you wont stop and wait for an answer ??! Heh. I appreciate the concern. Really I'm fine. Ok now let's see...what was the first question you sai- AH . Ok. I remember. Well, I kind of drifted to a really dark place in my mind. "Her expression turned a little sadder for a moment before she continued, she was now looking to the side almost lost in thought at the raw memories." I was pushed into a really deep pool. No matter what I did, I couldn't swim back up. I kept sinking deeper and deeper into the pool, I couldn't breath so I panicked. The next thing I know I froze the entire top layer of water, there was no way to get to the surface. I guess that when my fear made my powers activate in my little chaotic nightmare they also activated out here." She looked at him with guilty eyes, feeling genuinely sorry to the point her eyes watered. How could she have almost hurt her friend? Her partner? What kind of a person almost turned there roommate into a frozen dish on a stick!? Somehow sudden impaling didn't ring a bell in the know hows of bonding. Unless someone wrote a book on litteral ways to permanently bond with someone. Gross.

" I'm really sorry I almost speared you....I don't think you have to worry about it when I sleep. Then again...If anything ever happens just.....move away? Of try to wake me up? I honestly don't know. She had never had a roommate before so she didn't even know if her powers activated in her sleep. The thought planted a seed of worry in her mind. Not only because she might impale Caelan but at the possibility that she might impale herself. The thought made her shiver and looked at the puddles before she continued." As for the drowning. There was ...a voice. It was like I was talking to myself in the nastiest way possible. About how shitty my control is and how I would eventually d-.." She bit her lip. She couldn't bring herself to say the words die by her own hand as her voice so sleekly warned her in that nightmare. Instead she sighed and kept going, using her arms to show him the movements she explained." How I would and up hurting myself with my powers. Then my super awesome badness kicked in and I managed to make my powers to what I said. Then again how bad ass could it be to kick your own ass in a dream...anyhow. I pushed an Ice pillar all the way down, it did some weird glow in the dark voodoo thing and I started moving up like a torpedo. Then I couldn't hold my breath anymore so I gasped for air, swallowed a lot of water. Which I still have no idea how I actually swallowed water if it was in my head...I guess that's what the hurting by my own hand meant.... She stayed quiet for a second as that realization really sunk in. She almost drowned herself in a dream and ended up almost drowning in real life. How? She shook her head and tried to finish her story." Then I kept going until the surface and woke up right when i was going to go SPLAT! on the ice. She put both her hands together to symbolize her getting squished like a big against the ice, but the sudden movement made her slip on the wet floor and she started falling backward.

"Yeah, of course I'm your friend." Ty replied back to Judy, hoping to cheer her up a bit. "Look, we've all been tossed into this pen, and I doubt any of us had much of a choice." Ty said as his green eyes looked deep in to hers. "Give it some time. This is our first day, everyone's on edge. I'm sure when everyone cools down, and get settled in, you'll make tons of friends."
"Plus, some people are scared of our gifts. And when people get scared, they act stupid. It's hard telling what everyone has been through before they came here." Ty said as he seemed to be speaking from personal experience. Ty started to reach and touch her shoulder to comfort her, but he pulled his hand back in at the last second. His hands was still a bit hot, and he didn't want to burn her.

The feline Jurou sat naturally like a cat beside Marshall as he spoke, simply trying not to pay attention to the fact there was a swimming pool in front of him, it was hard to ignore what was right there though. Things seemed to be going well, even though he apologised terribly, Marshall seemed to be just as rational about the situation as he was by this point.
As Marshall spoke, replying to Jurou's apology, he pouted like a child and looked away from the male, although in his cat form not much expression was possible to be shown, cats naturally couldn't make many facial expressions. "It wasn't easy you know.." He mumbled before smiling when he heard the rest of what Marshall had to say, it was nice to see him chuckle and it felt nice to smile. He felt rather bad though, even worse for what he did when the male explained subtly that he had a bad relationship with his father, and knowing that Jurou's asshole attitude reminded him of his dad made him feel uneasy, did he really act that much of a prick that it reminded others of horrible people? He really needed to take better control of his anger then, he didn't want to be seen as that at all. "You're a good guy Marshall, of course, we're all good." Jurou smiled although it wouldn't be seen on his feline face, his copper red eyes still showed that he was happy as the squinted when he tried to smile. "Maaan I'm so immature for my age! I'm eighteen and carrying on like a child, gotta get my act together." Jurou kind of wanted to be a role model, but he didn't have a very good attitude to be the type for someone to look up to.

His attention shifted for a moment back to the girl who had been quite quite, she seemed to be the type who wanted to blend in with the background, didn't talk much and didn't have much expression on her face, he felt curious to know more about her as it was hard to read her. He watched as she got out of the pool however and finally went over to them and spoke up. "I don't know about Marshall but I haven't been outside at all today, including the courtyard. Just got back from the cafeteria." Jurou decided to speak up and reply anyway, even though it wasn't exactly directed at him.

As he simply listened and waited for the two to speak and what not, his feline ears twitched as he began paying attention to the sounds in the background, he could hear, two voice yes it sounded like two people. Familiar voices. Was someone eavesdropping? That was a bit embarrassing. Casually Jurou walked over to the entrance, carefully walking as far away from the pool as possible then spoke up. "I can hear you guys you know." Jurou said casually at the door, it was too much of a pain in the ass to try and open the door in his cat form. He took a few steps back for the door to open, didn't want to get hit by such a big door which he didn't realise was so big and heavy until he was in such a weak form.

"Um....hi." Michael's eyes appeared in the crack of the doorway. He grinned, embarassed at being caught spying on such a personal moment. He pushed the door open and scooted inside on his knees, Jurou's clothes in his arms. "Um....We brought your clothes? That's totally the only reason we're here." He fibbed, a guilty smile on his lips.

He paused looking behind Jurou at Marshall and the girl by the pool. "It's really hard not to pick you up and just hold you Jurou, you know that right? I really want to just.....steal you and take you to my room and rub you behind the ears." Michael murmured. He was still gripping Jurou's clothes. Finally he stood up, glancing anxiously at the pool a few feet away. He wandered to one of the pool benches and sat there, tucking his legs under him and placing Jurou's clothes on the plastic table. He stripped out of his shirt and allowed his shirts to join the pile as well as his socks and shoes. Michael's torso was thin. His ribs could be seen just barely along the sides yet his stomach managed to be firm enough to sport a four pack. His waist however was somewhat prominent for a male. His pants rode low on his hips, low enough to spot the tantalizing V cut of his hip and waist musculature. Michael huffed and stretched his arms above his head. On his back was a pair of long trailing tribal tatoos in the vague shape of a pair of wings. Simplistic, but an obvious mark of his power. It looked like ink, clear as day on his pale skin but something about it made it subtly clear that it wasn't like any ink that anyone else had seen. When he flexed the muscles in his back the wings appeared to flex with him, expanding and folding very slightly. It was one of those things that was hard not to notice once you saw it. Michael sighed and leaned back against the chair, crossing his legs leisurely.

Judy smiled as Ty said they were friends, and Panther began wagging his tail, ”Well that’s good, seems Panther likes you” she said as Panther jumped on the bed, ”Who knows how many people we’ll have here, new ones keep coming” she added, a little shocked that he pulled his hand away, then relaxed, remembering he’s a pyro and he had probably been working with fire. ”When I was little, I first discovered my power when I was in the garden, pulling weeds for my step mom, I came across a snake, he was about to strike, so I calmly said ‘please don’t hurt me’ and he said ‘me? Scare you? Your kind killed my brother.’ And I was surprised at that, I mean, a snake talked to me. A venomous snake.” she said then looked at Panther, ”Then I found this puppy in a bear trap, he was crying and my step mom was yelling at me, so I saved the dog, and he became mine.” she said with a smile as Panther wagged his tail, hitting Ty in the back.

Marshall turned to Amelia, and looked her straight in the eyes as that seemed to be the only expressive facial feature he could get a read from. “Thank you so much for listening to me earlier, you helped more than you realize.” He then turned to see the door open and Mike coming in on his hands and knees. While he was making up excuses for eavesdropping, Marshall suddenly found himself incredibly aware of two things, he had just admitted that he had been flirting with Mike, and just how little clothing he was currently wearing. Throw in the fact that he was still wet and he couldn’t help but blush when Mike looked at him and Amelia. Mike walked over to the pool’s edge and sat on a bench and took his shirts off. “Holy shit, he’s stripping!” Marshall’s inner monolog screamed at him, actually causing him to make a slightly audible sigh of desperation. He knew that they had a similar body structure, but when he took off the shirts he did notice a few slight differences; Marshall had a more bulky upper body with well defined pectorals and thicker arms, and while his stomach was flat and he too had the V shape, his abs were not defined as well as Mike’s. When he turned and stretched his arms, Marshall saw the beautiful wing tattoos on his back and how they moved almost on their own. “Is he flirting with me? Or am I reading too much into this?” He thought to himself. He remembered, barely, that he had one more thing he had to before he got too distracted. He walked up to Mike and sat on the bench next to him. He had the urge to put a hand on his leg, he fought it and crossed them in front of his chest instead.
“I’m sorry for making a scene back there. I don’t know what else to say about… well you know, but it’s true. I’m sorry that it embarrassed you so much.” He said as he looked down at the pool, intentionally not making eye contact so he wouldn’t have to be caught in those eyes if he was disgusted. He still didn’t know which team he played for, Marshall didn’t have much for gaydar seeing as how he never found anyone he was interested in, until now that is.
