Full Name
Her full name is, no joke is Ja (J-a) Miliani (Mill-ani) Haiku (Hai-ku). Named after her great-grand mother who was honestly a second mom to her all her life.

Nicknames
She mostly goes by her name, seeing that it's two little letters but people have given her nicknames like on her sports teams they like to call her Haiku or Hai after her last name and some of her more... girly friends like to call her Ja-Ja every once and a while. Which she hates more than any other nickname... Too girly.

Age
Nineteen "Yea, I'm pretty old to be in this school." *chuckles*

Birthdate
She was born on October 15, 1994 which happens to also be a special day Indonesian culture known as Idul Adha.

Clique
She what you would/could call a rebel.

Rank
“Oh, you're funny.” She's not an elite student.

Sexuality
She honestly is so confused about the whole sexuality thing. So, she just says that she's... undecided. But most people assume that she's asexual because she rarely shows romantic interest in anyone.

Hometown
She was born and raised on the island country of Indonesia in the city of Palembang in the province of South Sumatra.

And the last one is on left forearm and it is a tattoo of her family name, Haiku.

Scars
She has a large on going down her spine from where she was attacked at the age of fourteen when she was walking home.

The Power Within

Image
Power
Ja's power is the power of Doppelgänger Morphing. Meaning she can alter her very form to take on the appearance of anyone else in the world, but the only catch is has to have seen them at least once in her life. And she has to remember what they looked but, that quite easy because of her good memory. With her power she cannot take on their voices so that is something she has had to work on for years. And, if she is very focused she can also take on the person's power for a maximum of three hours.

Weakness
Her weaknesses include that she can take on those who do not exceed the user's own body mass and age. So, most guys are safe but she is rather athletic so some guys she is able to embody. But, for the most part they must be women her age or t the most three years older or children.

For Better Or For Worse

Personality
{ Stubborn, Adventurous, A Fighter, Determined , Passionate, Strong}
Ja Haiku was or could never be just one thing, she has many different parts of her personality that make her who she is. To some, she comes off as adventurous, strong, and stubborn girl, like a girl who knows basically everything about sports and the animal she is training. Never showing an ounce of weakness. And knows exactly what she wants to do in her life. To others, she's the calculating, tough, and overall cold-heated dragon trainer, unable feel any empathy for others. Willing to do close to anything to go to the top. However, the Indonesian isn't one or the other. She's both. Ja is true to her heritage and the way she was raised. She is as passionate, adventurous, and strong as her mother, Amelia. She's a tough girl just like her mother is and in some cases, she's far too tough than she should be. She pushes people to their edge, knowing just how good and amazing people can be. Some people are just too weak to see it that way... She is open and adventurous. And she is not afraid of the unknown like a lot of other people are which may make her sound like crazy person. But, she welcomes it, she think without it, even now, than we would still be living in caves. So yea, She could be called an "open person". But only in that way. When it comes to friendships, relationships, and all that other crap she honestly doesn't give even half of a fuck about. She is probably on of most closed off people you will even met in your life. She pretty much sticks to the same group of friends, not really wanting to be friends with half of the people at the school. Seeing that she thinks most of the guys are one of the same and the girls are... Well, girls. Too girly for her liking. Sue her. This fact leads her to sometimes think too much, a habit she's been trying to break. But, for the last nineteen years it has not been able to be broken. She being, who she is mostly over thinks about the people she surrounds herself with. Which begins to make her question her friends and they really want. If they want anything in the first place. Like her father she is determined, protective, and a leader. She is not one to take pity from anyone about anything and isn't above snapping on someone who sees her as inferior to them. And, she lives to prove those types of people wrong. Which has made her father very proud. Something that she has always wanted to place from him; pride and acceptance. Again like her father, she is very strong. Not just in the physical tense but in the mental tense as well. Because unlike most people, Ja has never grieved a day in her life over anything or anyone, she sees it as a waste. Or at least she grieves in her own special way and that's by blocking it all out, all the sadness, anger, and grief around her and creating an even thicker barrier around herself.

Hai is, in two words, calculating and sarcastic. She's got a sharp tongue, and is always ready with a quick comment or a sarcastic quip, though she never means to cause real harm to anyone even if they hurt her first. The girl is also one to always throw herself into everything she does even if that means having to keep at it for hours on end. Like she has with her fighting skills and... well, suffering all the shit she's been through for the past almost twenty years of her life. And with those years, she has always hated to lose or even thinking about losing no matter what it is. Losing someone included. She loves the sports and is always at her best when she's in a competitive mood. And then of course, she likes to stay active, and with that, she has a strict schedule. Which has made her stricter on herself than how her parents were which is hard to believe seeing that they pushed their children 110% but it is true. She has much control over herself and her decisions, always being the one to think of the outcomes. This is the part of Ja that she needs to feel as if she has done something with her life and that everything that happened to her in her life means something.

Thus leading into the part of her no one ever sees: the insecure girl, the one who fears being forgotten and who second-guesses every decision she makes because it might not be good enough. This is the part of herself that she hides from the world. Not wanting to look weak especially in a world like this where you can't look weak for split second. Even those close to her only ever get glimpses, never the full truth. Overall, Ja Haiku is another young woman who just wants to have all her hard work lead up to... something, anything that is worth remembering in history for doing something... Amazing

She has a pain in her back and when she is hit there, she gets paralyzed for a brief moment.
She is not the most... sympathetic person in the world.
Her family is a major weakness of hers. Whenever people bring them up she gets very defensive.

Hobbies
MMA Running Most Sports Being Around Friends Listening To Classic Rock and Roll Being Forced To Fix Her Father's Piece of Junk "Car", a 1965 Ford Mustang Playing Football With Her Brothers Using Sarcasm (She counts it as a hobby)

Fears/Phobias:
Dishabiliophobia-Fear of undressing in front of someone: Yeaaa, she can barely look herself in the mirror when she is undressing. Why would she be okay with others looking at all her?

Genophobia-Fear of sex: She has never had it when she wanted to, it was out of rape the one time she did. She's just is terrified that it'll do two things: She afraid of that it'll always be out of rape and she'll never have it mean anything and she also afraid of it not meaning anything to the person she does it with...

She has a deadly fear of failure. She doesn't want anything to do it, her father doesn't allow it and it has made her become terrified of it.

Something that mostly wouldn't expect is that relationships and romance scare the living hell out of her. She can't explain why they do but whenever she's close to having one, she jumps ship thinking that they're only going to hurt her later on.

Biography

History
Ja Miliani Haiku was born in the large but rather unknown city of Palembang in the island country of Indonesia to a rather poor family of eight not including her. Her parents, Amelia, a Thai nineteen year old who came to Indonesia for a rescue mission soon met her father, Adi, a rather poor man who already had two sons from a past marriage that ended with his wife leaving him for another and much younger man. The two of them quickly fell in love with one another and Amelia decided that in order to be with her love that she would have to move to Indonesia and be able to raise his two twin sons, Bambang and Johan. The athletic ones of all their later children. They got married a year later and before they knew it she became pregnant with their first children, again two twin boys that they later named Benny and Hendri. The smart ones. Life went on like that for three more years before Amelia again getting pregnant with yet another boy that they later named Yandi. The youngest and seen as the most attractive one of the boys. And as much as the couple loved their sons more than anything, they wanted a daughter. Something both of them had been hoping and praying for ever since their wedding night. But, after a year of trying and miscarrying their first twin daughters, Amelia wanted to stop. She thought that maybe it wasn't meant to be... Little did they know is that she wasn't pregnant with twins. She was pregnant with triplets. And the last daughter was alive and growing everyday. It wasn't until 4 months later, when Amelia was at home that she began to feel kicking. And they found out that they were pregnant with a daughter. The couple, was of course excited and when she was born they name the girl, Ja. The name of her father's grandmother, the woman who practically raised him and his two young brothers.

As Ja grew up, she grew up as one of the boys. They would tackle her and tease her for being a girl, hoping to get some tears out of her. And at first she did cry, she wasn't used to being teased and it wasn't really something she liked. But her mother told her that she need to show any man that she was just as good as them if not better. And that was the turning point in her life, she put up her dresses and girly shoes for a good pair of jeans and sneakers. Her hair was always up and out of her face. And she soon found herself playing sports along the boys and becoming just as good as them everyday which of course pissed her brothers off but they also became closer to her because of it. She had toughened up just like they wanted her to. And that's the way she grew up. Little did Ja know that he brother were so good because of the powers they held coming from her father's side. And when she turned fourteen, she found out about her power. She had been thinking about her oldest brother with her close friend, Nikki when suddenly she noticed Nikki jump back, falling out of her bed. When Ja asked what was wrong her friend pointed to the mirror and it was then that the small Indonesian girl realized that she had turned into Johan. She surprised and terrified at the same time. But, since she wasn't concentrating on keeping the form of her brother she quickly turned back to herself and ran home in order to find out what was going on with her. That's exactly when she was attacked by a man who was yelling at her to give him any money she had and when she refused and began to run she felt a strong pain in her back that made her fall down, screaming in pain. Thank God, it wasn't too late and people were still out and about. A young woman noticed her calling the police who quickly got her to the hospital. Her parents of course, being her parents ran in asking what happened and she told them to whole story.

She later found out that everyone on her father's side had powers and she was just the next in line to get her powers. But, they weren't going to keep her in Indonesia where she could get hurt again. There was no way in Hell they were going to allow any of their children to get hurt again. So, they packed up and moved their children to America to a small town called Benjamin. Where they could relax about the violence and just be a family, learning how to control their powers. And at first, Ja hated it. It was quiet and too silent that she felt like something was going on. And well, she was right she later found out once she went to her new school that every student has powers just like her and her family and most of the students would go somewhere after school to prove their powers against each other, all put in a different category. And she did not like that so not long after, she became what they called a rebel. Something she wasn't really mad about, she didn't feel like she had to prove herself to anyone. So, she just watched from the sidelines.

Save Yourself | My Darkest Days
I’m the devil’s son straight out of hell
And you’re an angel with a haunted heart
If you’re smart you’d run and protect yourself
From the demon living in the dark
There’s nothing to be gained cause I can never change
And you can never understand my sickness
(I’ll never understand my sickness)

Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me
Save yourself

You’re the perfect drug when it hurts like hell
I've never needed anyone so much
There’s no-one else I love and I curse myself
Cause the right thing is to give you up

I’m overcome by shame cause I can never change
And you can never understand my sickness
(I’ll never understand my sickness)

Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me
Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me
Save yourself

You'll never understand my sickness
(I’ll never understand my sickness)
Cause i don’t understand my sickness
(I’ll never understand my sickness)

Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me
Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
Save yourself
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me

Decode | Paramore
How can I decide what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind
I can't win your losing fight all the time
How can I ever own what's mine
When you're always taking sides
But you won't take away my pride
No not this time
Not this time

How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well
How did we get here?
Well I think I know

The truth is hiding in your eyes
And its hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood
But you think that I can't see
What kind of man that you are
If you're a man at all
Well I will figure this one out
On my own
(I'm screaming "I love you so")
On my own
(My thoughts you can't decode)

How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well, yeah
How did we get here?
Well I think I know

Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves

Yeah...!

How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well, yeah yeah
How did we get here?
Well I used to know you so well

I think I know
I think I know

Ooh, there is something
I see in you
It might kill me
I want it to be true

Benjamin
Mid-afternoon, Friday 16th of August

Image

A light breeze rolls off the lake beside the town of Benjamin, offering a small break from the hot sun above. For those students stuck inside, the have only a few more minutes until the bell rings marking the end of the school day and the start of the weekend.
Students also find themselves looking forward to the weekly meeting. The After School Club is due for a gathering. A few hours after school most students will make some excuse to their parents and make their way to the abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. There challanges will be made, some will wake away as winners and others might find themselves further down the social ladder than when they entered the warehouse.

Abigail Porter

Abigail Porter sat in class, her attention on the small, balding man that was trying to lecture the room full of students on the properties of the fundamental forces. He had already given the class a stirring introduction to electromagnetism and no doubt next week would be filled with strong and weak nuclear forces. Today, however, was dedicated completely to gravitation, a force that Abby knew intimately well. Physics had always been an interesting class, or at least Abby thought so. Many of Benjamin's inhabitants had powers that let them defy the very rules that Physics was trying to teach. Abigail always enjoyed seeing the teacher try to explain around the peculiar abilities, making exemptions for the talents. Nevertheless Abby always made a point of learning the lessons, failure was hardly something she wanted.

Even so, as the teacher droned on Abby found her mind wondering to tonight's gathering. She was quite content with her current position, number two, so she doubted that she would challenge Ozzy tonight, but it was always interesting watching other fights. Whenever anyone from the Elite's was challenged it was always useful to pay attention, watching how her fellow Elite's fought was very informative and would help Abby form a partial plan on how to deal with them if they ever chose to fight.

The loud buzzing of the school bell brought Abby's attention back to the present. The teacher began to shout the weekend's assignments over the loud sound of scrapping chairs, but gave it up as hopeless as conversations cropped up and his voice was muffled out. Abby picked up her books, arranging them carefully in her arms. She left the classroom with the crowd and began to make her way towards her locker.

Being an Elite had its perks. Many of the lower students moved out of her way, leaving Abby with a clear path through the crowded school corridors. Of course there were always those who either chose to ignore the hierarchy or simply didn't seem smart enough to get out of her way. Abby was climbing down a set of stairs when a younger students pushed past her, his elbow catching her painfully on the upper arm and sending her books flying. Pursing her lips to stop herself from shouting at the younger student Abby held up a hand, palm facing vertically outwards. Her falling books stopped their descent, freezing in midair. The student froze too, caught in a bubble of zero gravity. His excitement for the weekend, and most likely tonight's meeting, was easily visible and quickly turned to a look of shock as he was slowly spun around to face Abigail.
"If you're going to run in the corridors, you had better watch where you're going." Abby told him. She held out her arms and let her books float into them. The student was still floating inches above the floor in Abby's cloud of zero gravity.
"I... I'm s..sorry" He stuttered, glancing nervously from Abby to the ground just out of reach. Not wanting to cause more of a scene than she already had, Abby let the boy go. He landed on his feet and seemed to shrink back against the wall as Abby passed.

She reached her locker a moment later without incident and quickly opened it, placing the books she didn't need inside and taking out those she would need over the weekend. Around her everyone seemed to be buzzing about the weekend. Abby smiled, she too was looking forward to a few days to relax in the sun, but first came tonight.

Zack Hooke

Image
Outfit

"Keep your knees up Hooke! Stay awake!" The harsh voice of Benjamin's gym teacher was having little effect on the teenage boy. Zack liked most sports, however gym class was not something he generally enjoyed. Or at least not when he was being forced to run around the track under the heat of Benjamin's summer sun. He could also feel the increasing anger radiating from the large gym teacher as Zack slowly jogged the last leg of the track. He didn't understand why he was the one being targeted, after all there were others who were still behind him.
"Come on Hooke! Don't fall behind!" She shouted again. Zack felt himself slowing down, if only to spite the teacher. He could feel her anger increase exponentially as his pace slowed.
"Come on miss, it's almost the weekend." Zack told her, "And it's too hot to run any faster." He had to admit that the teacher was exceptionally good at controlling her anger. He could feel it spike as he spoke and yet there was no visible sign present.
"Hooke..." Her warning was enough though to let Zack know that it was probably time to lay off. He flashed her a cheeky smile before picking up the pace. Apparently satisfied she went to go harass some other poor student, leaving Zack alone to finish his run and then head for the showers.

Zack quickly entered the male locker room and Zack grabbed a towel before headed into the showers. Ten minutes later he reappeared, smelling faintly of peaches and looking as fresh as if he hadn't just been running. The bell rang just as he was stuffing his damp towel away. Zack picked up his sports bag and made his way out of the showers. He considered stopping by his locker to pick up some books but decided against it. Instead he headed out to the school front where he took a seat on the rails and waited for his friends to come out.

He would see them tonight at the Club, but Zack was a social person. He wouldn't want to waste the few hours between now and the start of the club alone. Sure, he could do some homework, but he'd rather hang out with his friends. Besides, there weren't many days left in summer and he didn't plan on wasting the fine weather.
