Full Name: Vega Selena Archer

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Appearance: Coming back from Morus, Vega lost some weight, knowing that her daily meal was a bowl of an artificial mushy substance. Being said, she has a skinny body frame, with her ribs shown clearly beneath the skin. But for her arms, she muscled well, because in Morus, she was also given yard time everyday to workout and exercise, where she spent time, pushing herself up against the pull-up bar. But nor does that make her particularly strong, because she lacks a proper weight to reach that point. But since, she has not been fed well, she refuses to eat more than what is substantial enough for her to live, its what she is use to. Vega has a very raggedy look upon he- scars pressed against her sweaty face, short hair running wild, because really, she does not care what she looks like anymore, its not like she can control it either, not in the circumstance she stands in now. Sure, she wishes she could be stronger, believing if she was, maybe she wouldn't be someone's prisoner, or if she was fast enough, maybe Mei would not be so lonely- out there fending off on her own. But if there is anything Vega can blame herself for being the reason why her and her sister are separate, whether it be her personality, appearance, or existence, she will.

Height: 5'8

Weight: 127 Pounds

Hair Color: Black
Image
Eye Color: Hazel

Personality: Vega is hard-headed, impulsive, and is prone not to play well with others. Since birth, she has had a seed of rebellion sprouting, and know, you could say it is in full blood, especially considering that she is chained by her own enemies. Vega always had trust issues, with everybody, even her own family, but since the absence of Mei, she missed her little sister, and felt guilty how she treated her when they were children. And she just knew, Mei did not kill Daryl Court, Vega knew that she had to do something. So, because she loves her sister, and is protective of her, she stood up against the council, but in civil matter, presenting argument after argument, evidence that proves them wrong, and the Council knew, Vega was right, but then they would make them wrong, and the public could not know about that, so, they imprisoned her. Image So in Morus, especially towards the end of the ship's life span, Vega's temper kicked in, she would of never known how hot-headed she could actually be, to the point that she killed herself. But being too stupid to be scared, she did. Vega is fearless, and if she does have a fear, she conquers them- such as the dark, but with the darkness and shadows that consume Morus, the lack light, just revealed to her what life really was- a dark cold blanket strung over her face.

Vega tucked her hand underneath the curve of her stomach, fingers applying pressure to her open wound below the kidney. She sealed her lips together, preventing herself from making any audible reaction to the wound. You can take it Vega, she commanded herself, trying not to cry. You can take it. But it was not the pain of the gun shot that urged her to weep, but the disappearance of her sister. Mei fled from the sight of her sister, Vega gave her the permission- the order to do so. But it did not bother Vega as much that her sister left her, Mei had to, for her own good. But Vega feared that her last words were lies, in the back of Vega's mind she feared that the bullet was not fatal enough to kill her, and Vega knew that she was not able enough to run. So, that left her to one conclusion- the Enlighteners, they were going to take her in again. And she assumed they were not going to be as "friendly" this time.

Vega scooted her body back over to a tree behind her, shoveling her elbows into the ground to thrust herself. When leaned against the trunk he glanced at the gun in her hand. Vega was not for certain whether she should or should not hate herself for not handing the pistol over to Mei. Vega didn't because she knew how puzzled, confused, and scared to have a gun in her hand, she remembered that when on Morus. She also feared Mei might of accidently killed herself with the thing in hand.
Vega turned her head, glaring over at the Enlighteners rushing in after her, and at that moment she angled the gun against her head, I don't want to go back there. Her hands, shook vigorously, she could not stop it. But she also could not forget what she last told Mei, Be strong. So, Vega made it up in mind that moment that she would not kill herself, because then, that would mean she was giving up, and that would make her a hypocrite. And Vega is anything but a hypocrite. But how long will Vega be strong before she gives the trigger a push, if she gives it one?

Vega changed the direction of the gun from her head to the Enlighteners. And she started firing, but unfortunately there were no bullets, and that heavily angered Vega. She growled in frustration and fury while slamming it against another tree nearby, so they out smarted her, Vega demanded a gun, one was given, but never were the bullets ordered, so they did not give her any. She could not even kill herself she wanted to.

Enlighteners charged at Vega, firearm aimed at her, but she only chuckled with a grim and sour smile, cursing "Miss me, assholes?" No response came from an Enlighteners when she slandered them, but the only thing given to her was a mouthful of the butt of a gun. And from there, she was knocked unconscious, everything went black. However, not for long, because she was given a rude and rough awaken to find her face ducked inside the a water bucket. Woken up she felt a sore spot on her cheek from where the hit from the gun had cut her skin. She couldn't breathe, she tried to pull herself up, but her arms were held back by two four very firm and stiff hands. But she was finally yanked out by the hairs of her head. She gasped wildly for breath, looking up, eyes darting around the room. It was dark, dim a cold, she was not sure where she was, but the place looked scary, the room was placed with hard cement floors, and a light bulb dangling above them.

Vega was dragged over to the center of the room, kicked down on her knees. Vega kept her eyes aimed on the figure stepping out of the shadows- a woman, long wavy red hair pinned up into a high ponytail. Vega assumed a scene like this, people holding her back, a person standing in front of her- she knew they were going to hurt her, but she didn't know how much. Besides, if they were going to beat the lights out of, mind as well give them a hard time. "So what? You're here to scare me? Do you know where I just came back from? Heh, you can kiss my ass."

When the news of the capture reached Cain’s ears she lost her temper. She was more than furious at the men. She couldn’t understand how trained soldiers could let an ordinary woman, girl even, get away. What was the point in training them when they couldn’t even do such a simple task as bring a helpless small child back – because yes Cain had seen the younger sibling and no she was not impressed. At all. It was something that seemed so impossible, that those soldiers would lose track of such a small thing. She couldn’t possibly be so quick that none of those that had been sent in to capture her couldn’t keep up, right? This only showed how useless those guards was. If it was Cain’s decision she would fire them at once, or probably lock them up somewhere because they betrayed their trust in them. Useless. Cain herself would done a better job. She was positive of that. If it was her she would never do a stunt like that, she couldn’t understand why her mother or the High Overseer had been thinking when making such a decision. Why make such a risk? If they had done what Cain wanted to do – just lock them up inside and feed them the medicine this wouldn’t have happened. If Cain hasn’t been aware of the fact that people was watching, people was always watching, she would had trashed the room she had been in. She would probably done more than that, but you never knew who was the one watching and Cain couldn’t risk being seen like that by the wrong people so she just smiled while grinding her teeth’s behind it.

As she walked down the halls to see the catch she continued to rage on the inside because of how useless people were. So they were only able to catch one of the sister, but did it have to be the useless sister? Sure Cain understood the plan, break her and the little sister would probably come back without even protesting – but it could’ve been so much easier. If people weren’t so freaking bad at their jobs. When done greeting the older sister she will find out who they those idiots were and deal with them herself. She knew her boundaries, but at least she could give them a good reason to do better next time. Failure is not an option twice. Who would oppose her? The Overseer? Yeah right. She was too busy sleep walking.

As Cain arrived to less graceful places of the headquarters, her quarters, she found that those useless guards had already brought Vega in – still unconscious though. So they did something right, well at least it’s better than having her scratching their eyes out or anything like that. Cain wouldn’t be surprised if that would happen because even she seemed to know what she was doing better than the soldiers. But as Vega was woken up Cain observed then woman quietly, she knew the story. The big sister went after the little sister to save her from the horrors of Morus 02, it puzzled Cain however. She couldn’t understand why someone would do anything like that. Why risk her own life for someone as ungrateful as the little sister leaving her there in the forest to escape by herself? Why do it at all? It seemed like a dumb choice, Vega could’ve continued with her life – at least avoid these scenarios if she had just let the smaller one be brought to the prison. What Vega had done was insane according to Cain. Still Cain had nothing against working with insanity, it could be quiet amusing and by what she had watched earlier this seemed to be an amusing lady. So it wasn’t a bored Cain that approached, more like intrigued – curious to what could be found inside and what kind of expressions she could make. Just thinking about it made the excitement grow bigger with shiver’s going down her spine.

"So what? You're here to scare me? Do you know where I just came back from? Heh, you can kiss my ass."

Cain raised her eyebrows as the comment was made, not impressed. Disappointed rather. She had been expecting something a bit harsher than that, “Oh, I wish that it was an option dear, it would been plenty of fun to see what kind of expression you would make.” Cain stepped closer, looking down at her, studying her features. Oh, how Cain wanted to see this one cry, making that rage and pride be exchanged to pure helplessness. “But I’m not here to scare you, I’m here to crush you completely.” As she spoke the serious face transformed into one filled with pure excitement. And not the kind of childish excitement but one of a murderer finally getting to wrap their fingers around a victim’s neck after years of withholding. “So tell me, do you want to be a soldier or a slave?”

“Oh, I wish that it was an option dear, it would been plenty of fun to see what kind of expression you would make.”

Vega gave the woman a strange look, an expression revealing how odd that response seemed to her. Who says something like that? Vega questioned to herself, she assumed the Enlightener was insane, which was no surprise to her. Vega was already uncomfortable with the whole, knock-me-unconscious-and-put-me-in-a-scary-basement thing, now she has to deal with this lunatic. It always put Vega on edge to be around crazy people, it was flaw that if someone was suffer mental-illnesses, that Vega would automatically put herself against them, like though they may not be able to help it, in her book- they can't be trusted. That was when Vega was abruptly reminded of Petra, she remembered how after Petra returned from the asylum block of the prison, that she had an annoying and horrific stuttering problem. Petra's mental will at the time was fragmented and broken, but instead of leaving her alone, and giving her the little peace she deserved to mend her willpower back together, Vega bullied her continuously, and it still hurts Vega to know that she leaves because of Petra. The same persons he gave hell was the same person that gave her life.

“But I’m not here to scare you, I’m here to crush you completely.”

Vega was then reminded of another face- her sister, Mei. She tried to imagined what poor little Mei went through on her first few days on Morus with that despicable captain of the guard. He was a man with no conscience to stop him nor convict him for putting his hands on women, on little girls like Mei. And he did not only touch them with aggressive hostile force, but he felt up on Mei, if it was not for Capwell- Vega thought her name was, then what would he have done to Mei? Capwell..., Vega was sudden getting a wave of memories from that place she desired to leave endlessly- faces colliding. Vega was not sure, maybe it would have done her better to be in Morus than to be in a place like this, because at least there she was not alone. Maybe, it would of done her even better if she stayed on Morus, and be fuel to the fire that consumed the metal bird. Maybe, she should of died with Mei on that platform, at least then they would have their last moment together. No, Vega was thinking of death again, Be strong, Vega, be strong.

“So tell me, do you want to be a soldier or a slave?”

"If this is about what I want, then I want to speak with the Overseer and not a manipulated minion doing her dirty work," Vega spat with aggression. The next thing she knows is another Enlightener stepping out from the shadows, backing off a wall that he was observing from. He marched over behind Vega, taking a knife and slit down her red thin racer-back. That was when Vega noticed that they had taken off her leather jacket off her when unconscious. Vega had no idea what they were doing at first until she eyed a glow in the darkness, it was metal rod with their eye symbol at the end of it. Vega was turned around, back facing the woman, Vega didn't like this position, she tried to breaking away again, but she was not strong enough to escape the two men holding her back. She wanted anything but to be marked as Enlightener property.

"If this is about what I want, then I want to speak with the Overseer and not a manipulated minion doing her dirty work."

As the words left Vega's mouth Cain's eyes flashed, she saw red. As soon the name was mentioned everything seemed to be slowing down, making every little movement of the lip so much more visible for Cain and it crawled inside of her. The rage was eating her up on the inside, how dare this low life speak so lowly of her and so highly of her mother. She didn't know anything. She had no idea. She was stupid for thinking that the High Overseer had any saying in this. That she was the right person to turn to, that she was in charge. That Cain was an minion. A manipulated minion. So as soon as Vega was facing away from her Cain quickly grabbed the strains of her hair, yanking her head backwards forcing her to look up at her face before spitting down onto her forehead. "You want to talk with the Overseer you say? That old hag, really? How amusing you are. You think I'm a minion? A manipulated minion above that? Oh dearie, you have no idea what you are talking about. That old hag is too busy daydreaming to see what's happening around her. She's nothing. So sorry, but if you have anything to say then Vega darling you have to take it with me."

Cain let go of the strains of hair but continued to watch her quietly as the man approached with the seal, the sudden rage was dying already and she let her fingers run through the hair of Vega before letting the hand slide down her neck to the smooth skin of her back. Yes, Cain was enjoying herself. Letting the fingers draw their symbol over the place where it would be placed before bending down, placing her mouth close to Vega's ear while holding onto the hair again so she wouldn't be able to smash the head against Can's - well at least not without losing a good amount of hair. She whispered, "Let's take it one more time, since we've cleared out a couple of things - there will be no meeting the Overseer, you will never meet her again, there will be only me. So what will it be soldier or slave?" As she ended the ending she giggled aroused by the moment, "Because it would be such a shame to ruin such a lovely skin as yours."

Cain was very much aware that Vega had already sealed her fate by not answering the first time, but basically she just enjoyed dragging out on it. It would be so much sweeter to press that iron against her back if she thought she would get away. Cain didn't care for her answer at all. So even before Vega had responded she straightened up accepting the symbol from the man, feeling how her heart was racing for the lovely moment when she get to see how the skin would turn red and the burnt smell would reach not only her nose but Vega's. Oh it must be terrible to know that it's your own skin that gets fried, how delightful!

Vega was not expecting to endure what happened next as she felt her hair being grasped against yet again. Her head was thrown back like a rag down, putting an annoying crick in neck. She looked in the Enlightener's eyes and saw nothing but unbearable rage, "Touch a nerve?" Even when Vega was aware that for the next few minutes she would feel nothing but torturous affliction, she had no concern in controlling her tongue. If they were going to torment her, Vega mind as well have some fun with it and because she wanted to figure what it was to make this woman pop, and it was mention of he Overseer. Vega felt a warm drop of spit dance against her skin, if she was not being held back, Vega would have turned her jugular vein into a jump-rope, she hated being spit on, well anyone did, but some could tolerate it more than others. However Vega herself was a person with a temper also. Though seeing that she is not the one with physical strength in this battle, she will take the anger to the tongue.

That surprised Vega, so within a rebellion group known as the Enlighteners there is rebellion within their own people. Vega was now doubting that the Overseer is the real superior of this revolution in the first place. The other guards that filled the room was not surprise to here the woman lash out verbally against the Overseer. So, it implied to Vega that they were all working for her, but why? Isn't the Overseer the one with all the power, Vega believed that the woman was the top-dog due to the fact that she is so different from the Overseer. At least when Mei and Vega first arrived on Enlightener ground the Overseer never abused them, the worse she ever did was command them to go to there room. And even when Vega threw her fit at the dinner table, the Overseer did not punish them. This woman was insane, heartless, and sadistic. Vega could just feel the vibes of this woman's bloodlust.

"Let's take it one more time, since we've cleared out a couple of things - there will be no meeting the Overseer, you will never meet her again, there will be only me. So what will it be soldier or slave? Because it would be such a shame to ruin such a lovely skin as yours."

It was not a fair question, well this world is not fair, but no matter what Vega would belong to them- there was no escape. But maybe if she said soldier, then they would not sear her skin. But to see the looks and aura of this woman, all she wanted to was to torture Vega, so that seemed unavoidable. But stubborn and prideful Vega, of course she would refuse either and only spit slanderous words, "Don't worry about me ruining my skin, you've already ruined your dignity. Seeing that you are both her soldier and her slave. Is that the point of the question?"

"Don't worry about me ruining my skin, you've already ruined your dignity. Seeing that you are both her soldier and her slave. Is that the point of the question?"

Dignity. What a strange statement. That came from nowhere, at least according to Cain, she had not expected to hear something like that. Because she had never considered how others could see it, so this woman really thought that it was Cain that had chosen this? No, not even close. Cain was born into this. She could never get away from it. She would never escape the Overseer even if she wanted to, so yes Vega was probably right in the statement. Cain was the Overseers slave, bound by blood forever. There was no way for her to get away from that.

"Oh, so you think you figured everything out, huh? Well, you don't know anything little one. I was born without dignity so there was never one for me to ruin," Cain wasn't angry, she was actually calm. The excitement over the approaching pain had even settled down, the realization had killed Cain's mood. Thinking about how she was half part that despiteful hag was annoying, the thought of always being her property even more so. In a split moment of darkness taking over as the thought passed by she raised the branding iron and struck it against Vega's back with much more force than needed. But she didn't care, all she could feel was a never ending cold from deep inside her core. How it spread out to the finger tips, if she was dammed to be the property of that damn woman for all eternity then she could as well take this and all other low beings as her own property.

"If you wish to be a slave, then you will be treated accordingly," It was a sentence uttered without emotion, and not even the red marks left on the skin could make Cain feel better at the moment. It only made her think about how she wanted to exchange body with someone, change blood, change DNA, change everything. "You think you're the property of the Enlighteners? No, no, you are the property of me - and oh how I will enjoy playing with you my little new toy. But not now, we don't want to ruin your newly opened eye straight away, right? I guess I was wrong, you look so much better with the mark of defeat."

"Oh, so you think you figured everything out, huh? Well, you don't know anything little one. I was born without dignity so there was never one for me to ruin," The woman was right, Vega had no clue at her life, but she imagined that the woman was forced into this as a slave also, now she was doing the same to others of what had been done to her. How hypocritical..., Vega rolled her eyes with disrespect. And "little one" Vega did not appreciate being called that, if the rest of her body was not being chained down by the arms and hands of the two other men then she would probably not seem so "little". How could this woman feel like she had won fighting a battle that was unfair in the first place.

Vega sensed the iron brand nearing closer to her skin, she was not sure whether or not she could back out now, but even if she could she would never account herself as this woman's soldier nor slave. As soon as the blazing metal planted into her flesh, painting the symbol of an eye through the medium of burning heat. Vega at first tried to bridge together her teeth, creating a barrier to prevent herself from screaming. But she was not that strong to remain quiet during the branding, Vega raised her head and screamed with the bitter stench and odor of her own flesh burning. The metal rod pressed deeper and deeper, the woman must of been enjoying this. Who could have torture as a leisurely activity, and identify it as entertainment- this was a madwoman. "If you wish to be a slave, then you will be treated accordingly." The brand was finally removed from her skin, but the mark would be permanent. That's it Vega said to herself mentally. You're a slave now. Even in deep sorrow, Vega was not yet broken, she felt not yet defeated. However, tears did fall from her face from screaming but she didn't weep nor whimper, not yet.

"You think you're the property of the Enlighteners? No, no, you are the property of me - and oh how I will enjoy playing with you my little new toy. But not now, we don't want to ruin your newly opened eye straight away, right? I guess I was wrong, you look so much better with the mark of defeat."

Now it sounded as if she was against the Enlighteners, maybe they weren't even Enlighteners, but that was the Enlightener's mark, right? Vega was confused more than ever, but figuring this woman out was no longer Vega's concern, all that went out the window after she spat on her, and now the branding, these people were barbaric, why didn't they just kill her? Well, Vega knew that they didn't want her, that is why, they want Mei. And perhaps they want to break Vega enough to have her to lure her own sister into a trap, not happening, Vega would never do that Mei. And these people were stupid they believed so.

"Defeat? There was no battle in the first place, this a torture chamber, not an arena," Vega gasped, catching her breath from after screaming. "Besides is that all you got? That merely felt like a bruise." And there goes Vega again unable to tame her tongue, she could never shut up could she, but soon she will be paying for that.

"Defeat? There was no battle in the first place, this a torture chamber, not an arena. Besides is that all you got? That merely felt like a bruise."

Cain was still in that dark state of mind, depressed you could even call it, but as Vega whined about how getting burnt was nothing Cain couldn't help but laugh. She believed that Vega was an idiot for trying to play tough with such tears running down her cheeks. Sure the gaze was not what could be counted as dead yet but those tears was a beginning. A good one. Beautiful almost.

Cain placed her hands on both sides of Vega's head, forcing it backwards again so she could stare down into her eyes, "Oh boo-hoo! Merely felt like a bruise you say? Crying like a little baby after mama are we? For something that felt like a bruise. I didn't think you were such a weak one darling but since you beg me of course I play a little more with you little toy. And oh, we are going to have so much fun!" Letting go of the head shoving it forward as she does Cain straightened up, she still felt like it was a waste to destroy the branding before it even had gotten a chance to heal. But never mind that, she was annoyed and well she couldn't think of any better way to relax and cheer herself up.

"So it wasn't to your satisfaction dearie, well I won't leave you craving for more this time. At least not for now," As she spoke Cain loosened the whip from her belt. It was not like she carried it with her all the time, but when going down here she sure had it on her always. And it was not like was ashamed of it, or that it was a secret. There was a reason for the Overseer to pick her for this kind of task, she probably knew as well. Perhaps not the methods but Cain sure had shown that she could get the job done - unlike some others. Gripping onto the handle she let the material stroke Vega's neck before backing away slightly, "I'll be gentle, promise."

It was with a big grin Cain let the whip dangle for a bit, shaking her arm and shoulder slightly to get them into the game. Because she felt a bit stiff from yesterday’s work, but the wait just made the urge sweeter. Heart starting to pump out adrenaline, the shivers done the neck, the craving. She wanted to see what kind of face would reach the surface, how many tears that would be shred and what kind of screams would leave those lips. The yearn for it became too big and Cain couldn't stand it anymore so with raw excitement she moved her arm, whipping the untouched skin. But as soon as the first red strains decorated the skin Cain's urge just became bigger, she wanted to paint the whole back red. She hit again and again and again, getting more worked up after every new line that were made.

Crazy bitch..., Vega thought again, never in her life did she meet someone like her. And it both Vega that the woman had not yet stated her name, didn't she say her and Vega will be spending a lot of time with each other? A name would help. And Vega wanted to kill her a little bit more every time she pulled Vega's neck back- What's the point of me looking at her ugly ass face anyways, I have ears too. The only person she could at least compare to her was the captain on Morus. But he did not seem insane, but anger, like a person who bottles up all their feeling and hate inside. And besides, Vega would swear that the captain had something for his partner, so Vega understood why he suddenly attacked her when Vega hit his partner. Besides if this woman thought Vega was a crybaby, then what would she think of Mei. Sure, Vega loves her sister more than anything or anyone, but Mei would already be dead- drowned by her own tears. But Mei would most likely be smarter about the situation than Vega, though oftentimes though Mei might not be looking for trouble, trouble looks for Mei.

"So it wasn't to your satisfaction dearie, well I won't leave you craving for more this time. At least not for now," Vega sensed something dangling against her back, What is that? Some kind of... strap? She was, yet again confused, confused to what the weapon was. To think in the eyes of Vega this woman was the evil boss right? And her mastermind weapon was a rope-thingy. Vega remember every officer on Morus was equipped with baton- those things seemed so much more intimidating them that... strap. Am I suppose to be scared? "I'll be gentle, promise."

Vega did not know what to expect she still was not sure what the woman was holding in her hand, but Vega was in for a terrible surprise. With the first stroke, Vega bounced her body upwards, reacting to the strike, but she was held down again. Vega could feel air entering into the freshly opened slit. Vega struggled to prevent herself from screaming and from crying, because she knew that the woman enjoyed every minute of it. The first strip was enough for Vega but like the Enlightener said, she 'won't leave Vega craving this time.' A whirlwind of the lash danced against Vega's back, lacing the whip in and out of her skin. Her back was the wood fire and the whip was the flint and steel delivering the blazing inferno- her own blood created itself to be a warm blanket hugging Vega. Each time the sequence sped up, Vega thought it was never going to end, that her last moments would be acting as a human canvas for this lunatic to paint her flag against.

Finally the woman had stopped, the two men who had been holding Vega down dropped her to the floor, Vega's cheek collapsing in defeat against the cement floor. After the beating, things no longer seemed so cold anymore, but a furnace was piled against her. Vega curled her face against the ground trying to angle it away from the woman to prevent her from seeing Vega cry. But even if she couldn't see Vega she sure could of heard her whimper weakly. And the wept was not like a painful growl, no, it in fact reminded Vega of the way her own sister would cry helplessly. Vega has not been broken yet, but she sure was silent, finally not a word came out of her, she didn't want to go through that again. But she is not naïve enough to not know that this was only the beginning.

What a nice sound she could make, it was the only thought that traveled around inside Cain's head. She couldn't see the expression but she sure could imagine how it looked. But the cries... the cries were terrific. Cain could almost state them to be one of the best, it was something about the fact of hearing such prideful people cry out like this. But still, men were better, always acting so tough, hearing them cry by pain was the greatest. It always made Cain happier than ever, if she wasn't such a professional she would be laughing at them. The tougher the act was the more pathetic the cry was and Vega was ranked pretty high by now.

It was a disappointment to end it, but even if she was close to losing her mind she still had the control over her body, knowing that if she proceeded further the results would be fatal. Because what good would a dead body do? They weren't even fun. The whole seeing how people's death moments was an overstatement, what was so good about the pain to end. Killing them was like sparing them. No, that wasn't fun at all. So as she dragged her fingers over the smeary parts, covered in Vega's blood, she looked down at the end results as she lied there still crying on the ground. Such terrific shape's the blood created on her back, it was almost a master piece. Somewhere near a work of art. Cain took a mental picture of it, like she did with all great things created, it was something refreshing about the first time the skin burst. It will never get this beautiful anymore, when the skin is already destroyed from earlier.

While attaching the whip onto her belt again Cain couldn't help but strike her boot against Vega's side, it was like she tried to flip her over so she would be placed onto her back, revealing the face. But it was a halfhearted attempt so it was no surprise that it didn't go, "Oh, you were great darling. I'm going to count the minutes until I get to meet you the next time, can't wait to hear the lovely voice of yours again. So helpless, so broken, so desperate. Oh, you make me all warm on the inside! I'm so flattered that I, oh little manipulated me, make you scream like that." The sickly sweet voice she had been speaking in changed as soon as she had finished that sentence making way for a much colder one, as she walked around the crying Vega, "How the heck could that sister of yours escape while you got brought back? You, the useless one. I've seen your sister, it's freaking laughable that my men couldn't even capture that bitch. But they sure as hell brought you back." Cain stopped beside Vega's head, placing her foot onto her cheek pressing down onto it, but only so much that it would hurt slightly, not break anything. And while bending down towards the crying face she hissed, "Why did you do it? Sacrificing your wellbeing for your little sister, are you an idiot? Who do anything like that?! You want to know what I think, you did it because you knew that you had no value. That you are nothing, just another piece of shit walking around the earth not contributing anything. So you thought that by saving that heartless sister of yours you would done good, well let me tell you something. You haven't. You're still useless, a nobody, a waste of air." When the last word was uttered Cain straightened up again and placed her foot on solid ground again, walking away from the scene, leaving the room. But before she did she turned around, eyeing the guards before demanding, "Just put her with the other's, I have other things to do than watch over a whimpering nobody." With that she swiftly turned around and exited the room, such a simple task was not something she would waste her time on. The guards in there were people she had faith in anyway, or faith and faith. They had always done their job until now so Cain doubted that they would let her down now. But she would check later anyway, now she was busy with getting her hands on those that let that little sister get away.

Vega

Vega felt the tears pouring in the more she quietly cried to herself, bathing her sweat-driven face into the puddle of her tears. The only moment in Vega's life that she could compare this to was the time the captain had beat her with his baton, but the baton itself was heavier, thus the strikes were slower and did not sting as much as the strokes from the whip did. And because he his partner was there, the captain was stopped from causing any further damage- from breaking any other ribs, but with this woman Vega faced now, there was about three other guards there that could of stopped her, but would they? No, of course not. By far, this was the most painful physical torment, Vega has even put her body through, and to feel even more defeat, if she could of tamed that tongue of hers and not act tough, she could of avoid all of this. Maybe this could be counted as a lesson learned, that Vega will speak less, and think before even speaking in the first place. But would that really happen? Nope, Vega was to awfully stubborn to learn the first time. The only two thing she could hope for now was that the beatings were as worse as they are every going to get and maybe, this woman would become far too ambitious in torturing Vega, that she might kill her. But something about this woman told Vega that she was too professional to let that happen, something about her told Vega that she was good at what she does.

"Oh, you were great darling. I'm going to count the minutes until I get to meet you the next time, can't wait to hear the lovely voice of yours again. So helpless, so broken, so desperate. Oh, you make me all warm on the inside! I'm so flattered that I, oh little manipulated me, make you scream like that."

How much pain could the body go through before it feels nothing- before it goes numb. Well, for Vega, not enough. Vega felt the woman drag her cool fingers against Vega's warm streaks of open flesh. If Vega's tongue weren't quivering so much she would curse her again. But sometimes the body was smarter than the mind.

"How the heck could that sister of yours escape while you got brought back? You, the useless one. I've seen your sister, it's freaking laughable that my men couldn't even capture that bitch. But they sure as hell brought you back." The woman placed her foot against Vega's cheek, and that was just the icing on the cake to make Vega feel defeated. Vega never took defeat light- every. It was like just the time their whole escape plan on Morus was called a failure when Petra was caught. Vega could not stand, she could not live with the truth that they lost, that they were going to be on that execution platform. So, Vega ran, except not out inside the open free world, their only world then was a metal vessel, created for the sole purpose to trap people from truly living. Because Vega could not bare the defeat she killed herself, trying to run, running into the brutal metal wall that served as her suicide weapon. And how dare she call Mei a bitch, Vega did not care so much that she could her useless, because honestly the woman was contradicting herself, if Vega was completely useless then she would not be serving now as her "play-thing". But if this was a fair battle, it would be Vega beating her until the blood hugged her skin like a leather jacket, but no, life isn't fair.

"Why did you do it? Sacrificing your wellbeing for your little sister, are you an idiot? Who do anything like that?! You want to know what I think, you did it because you knew that you had no value. That you are nothing, just another piece of shit walking around the earth not contributing anything. So you thought that by saving that heartless sister of yours you would done good, well let me tell you something. You haven't. You're still useless, a nobody, a waste of air. Just put her with the other's, I have other things to do than watch over a whimpering nobody."

And there she went again, talking about how Vega was useless. If she could speak, she would of said something like, Why be so damn contradictory? You say I am useless, but I'm put to use now by entertaining you. But there grew an even stronger beast of fury every time she insulted Mei. Heartless? What type of bitch like yourself can call Mei heartless? You don't even have a heart yourself! If this woman was trying to break Vega, Vega did not believe it was going to happen, the pain sure was a start, with the beating Vega was starting to realize how much her tongue can get her into trouble. Vega remembered that one time in the interrogation room hen she was giving Officer Capwell a hard time, saying a lot worse things but Capwell never hurt Vega, in fact, Vega hurt her.

"Get up...," said the stoned face soldier, tapped his boot against Vega's side, as soon as the woman left the room. Vega did not know how she was able to lift herself from the ground- she felt so exhausted, so sore, so weak. "Get up." He commanded again, but this time sounding more irritated. Because Vega was not looking to get into another thrashing, she said nothing, and mainly because she didn't have the strength to. Vega picked her body up, eyes seeing a mat of blood from where she was lying, but that was only the blood that splatter onto the ground. She didn't even want to see what was on her back.

They walked Vega out into another room, a much bigger and wider one with a man gripped a hose in his hand. He was pale skinned, wide muscular body frame, green Mohawk spiked out. Vega stood in front of him, and he demanded, "Turn around!" Vega was not comfortable being in a dark room, surrounded by male soldier, and one ordering her to turn around for him, she didn't even care if was just going to water her down. So, she didn't listen the first time. "I said turn around!" Vega did as he ordered, but she also muttered, "Heh... bastard." He dropped the hose, and stormed over to Vega, hand wrapping around the back of her neck, he pressed her cheek against the stone wall, "What did you say? Say it again to my face!" Vega turned her eyes, staring straight into his, "Bastard! Loud and clear this time?" He raised his fist up, but another soldier grabbed his arm back. "Watch what you're doing," the soldier told the one about to strike Vega. "Cain, strictly ordered us not to hurt Vega, she will be only one to do that. When it comes to her... entertainment, she has a greedy appetite."

"So what, she can do whatever she wants around us?"

"No, but if she causes any trouble, she will report to Cain."

"Then send her to Cain now."

"What because she called you a bad word? No! She's busy, you want to interrupt her?" the solider, grabbed his pistol, pressed against the man's head.

"So now you are going to kill because you're afraid your going to get blamed for this?" he responded.

"Heh, are you kidding me? You know a visit from Cain is far worse than any death, you don't back off, I'm going to pop a cap in both of your feet and force you to hobble back over to her. You want to join that slaughterhouse who failed to bring Mei Archer back, go ahead, but the rest of us aren't because you got reckless and didn't follow orders. And if she knows that we let you go ahead and disobey orders, well then something so simple as pissing is going to feel like hell."

The man let go of Vega and went back to his hose, Vega could still tell that he was angry, he showed no compassion when turning the hose power to tis full speed. Her chest charged into the wall of how strong the current of the water was. Vega focused her eyes down on the ground however, on the red sea of her own blood, it shocked her, That's all of my blood? After the hosing, Vega was handed a tank-top, but she had to keep the blood-scented wet jeans. Her new home was a small tight cell with metal bars, the place felt like it was purged in complete darkness. Vega hated everything about it, at least Morus didn't have rats swarming the floors. Vega sat up on the uncomfortable wooden board that was suppose to serve as her mattress, just thinking, no not thinking, worrying. Even after everything that had happened to her, she was so worried about her little sister.

Butch

He was pressed against the door of a car, crouched over to shield himself from the ongoing traffic of bullets. Finally him and Dominique had made it to the city but the place was chaos. Sadly, as soon as bullets started flying Butch's newfound furry friend, ran back into the forest. The council dies and everything gets nonsensical and absurd, Butch had no idea things were going to get this bad, Morus was enough, but earth was even worse. Why? Because at least on Morus, their were no children getting caught up in the crosshairs. Butch could of swore when he entered the city he could hear a little girl screaming, some small child. Though no matter, the age, Butch would not want any innocent person to die, to be tortured; he doesn't believe he will ever recover from tormenting Mei Archer and bringing her sister into the whole mess. Damn the Enlighteners, if it wasn't for them of this who of started! Butch should of been smarter to take his badge off but he wasn't even thinking, cops seem to be a really big target, knowing that the world now hates law, and he is targeted as a law-enforcer.

"Dominique," Butch called to his partner next to him. "I'm trying to ration on my bullets, don't want to spend them all at one time, I'm going to make a run for it into that apartment building. Think you can cover me?" It was a stupid question, if anyone knew Dominique Capwell, they would know that their lives were in good hands when it came to being an accurate shooter. "Alright, one, two, three--" Butch ran like hell, keeping his head down and sliding into the building, he turned around to see Dominique walked behind him with no problem, just like that and she had already finished with them. "Heh... Show off...," Butch muttered, but gave a slight toothless smile.

After that he turned, walking forward and up the stairs, into the hallway Butch started firing, until the sound of a body dropping. He spotted a middle-aged man, equipped with a pistol, ready to fire, luckily Butch was quicker to the trigger. Butch walked into the first door he approached, inside the apartment he started to scavenge the kitchen first, and looked for some kind of bag to carry an inventory. He opened the refrigerator, fortunately finding three bottles of water. Looking inside the cabinet drawers Butch also discovered a spare lighter and a half box of cigarettes. "You want one, darling?" Butch against Dominique as he lit one from himself, before hooking it out from the side of his mouth.

Vega's chest was pumping, arms swinging, but she knew she move faster, but Vega let herself tell her that she was not strong enough to move any faster, due to the events that had occurred the day before. She knew times like this that she should be pushing herself even harder, but she didn't and soon she may pay for that. But however, she was forced out of the dark and dirty cell she was once trapped in to some outside training grounds in the fortress. But with each passing day she only had missed Mei even more, but sacrificing her freedom, her rights, so that her sister may live. Vega would repeat everything that had happened the day before if she had to. She was ordered to run and listened, at least for the time being she will do something as simple as run, the guards were not as cruel as they could be, none of them laid a hand on her mainly because of this so called Cain's orders. Cain, So that's her name? Vega thought to herself as she was jogging the course around the training grounds. But it doesn't matter, whatever her name, I'm putting my foot against her head for a change. Did Cain scare Vega? No, people who mistreated Vega didn't scare her like Mei, not they only made her even more anger, burning a fire within her heart.

"Cease!" a guard shouted, commanding Vega to stop running and hold position. Vega stood, arms by her sides, looking straight ahead with perfect posture, she was instructed before running proper stance of a soldier. But she broke the stone face look as soon as she saw Cain, she sighed to herself, perhaps to a volume Cain could hear because Vega was never known to keep her voice down, "This tight ass again." The amount of anger pent up inside of her shone right through. Right now, Vega didn't want to see Cain, she hated Cain not mainly because of what she did to her, but what Cain had said about Mei. "Better keep your strap thing to yourself today, before I strangle you until your head pops like a balloon." Vega still didn't know what the strap thing was by name, she didn't know it was called a whip because honestly she had never seen anything like it. The guards used batons back on Morus, but the whip hurt a helluva a lot more. However, when Vega gave lip to Cain, the soldiers surrounding the area off in the distance, looked in puzzlement, one would think by now that Vega would learn to not let her tongue get the best of her. But not for stubborn Vega, not for her.

It was a bothered Cain that stepped out on the training grounds that day, not bothered that way so you could call it sadness but it was more a stinging restlessness. Piercing her from the inside, still no reports about the whereabouts of the younger sister or even a clue to where she had headed. Cain didn't know if it was because the men didn't search properly, if they were so bad at it or if they just kept her in the dark. And Cain's thoughts were focused on the third suggestion and until she would get reports that would bring her mood up she was in a dark state of mind. For every minute wasted by those she got more and more urged to send in other's to do their job, but it would continue like that until she had already sent in every last soldier they had with no results at all. She knew she had to bear it, at least for a while longer. But as she stopped and watched Vega, tapping her cheek with her finger, Cain's mood just got worse. Taking her to an even darker state of mind. Bothered until annoyance by lacking results. Cain was not pleasantly surprised by Vega's performance.

"This tight ass again. Better keep your strap thing to yourself today, before I strangle you until your head pops like a balloon."

Cain didn't move even one muscle in her face by the statement, she just stood there silently tapping the cheek bone with the right hands pointer finger while the left one was supporting the elbow. She didn't move from where she was standing for a couple of minutes, neither did she speak one word, she just there and continued the movement with her hand. It was clearly that Vega was trying to provoke, but Cain was in no mood to be provoked. Not today. Not here. Not when she had no idea who was hiding information behind her back, most likely no one but Cain was dead set on that conclusion.

After a while of just observing Cain lowered her hand and walked closer to Vega. But not so close that she would inside the torture hall, "Oh, so my little toy still got that sharp tongue of hers? How insulted I feel now, you make me cry," Cain folded her arms, looking at Vega with emotionless eyes. Not bothered the slightest. After a moment of silence she continued, "So you think you would be able to do that? Win over me, be able to use my own equipment against me? Fine then dearie, prove it. Show me what you got."

"Oh, so my little toy still got that sharp tongue of hers? How insulted I feel now, you make me cry. So you think you would be able to do that? Win over me, be able to use my own equipment against me? Fine then dearie, prove it. Show me what you got."

Vega was confused, Cain was allowing Vega to fight her. Vega could concern her actions, chose them carefully before she does something stupid, but does Vega think before she speaks? No, then why would she think before she acts? She doesn't. Though it was an apparent trap, she didn't care, Vega was a woman led by her emotions. If anything was responsible for getting her where she is today, it would be her emotions. What caused her to follow Mei into Morus? Her emotions, her desire to save her sister and to wash away the bad blood. Her emotions, specifically her fighting anger is what also caused her to lose her first life, and now it felt like everyday she was risking to lose it again. Vega was aware that she could control herself better, that she could save herself a lifetime of pain. But did she? No, that wasn't Vega.

Vega positioned herself into a fighting stance, she bounced gaining speed, but she wasn't fast. Her stance itself was too flawed, Vega was unbalanced, she could be easily knocked over in a heart beat. If she was more aware that she needed to bend her knees more to gain more stability, rather than be so concerned with attacking Cain then she wouldn't seem so inadequate. But really Vega has never gotten into a fist fight before, she's fought with guns, but even with that she wasn't decent. But why was her methods of combat so bad? It is because she rushed into battle with no plan, thinking she was improvise when in a foxhole. And usually by the time she hits that point she's staring down at her bloody body in defeat. It was what happened on Morus, earning her three bullets in the arm. She was just so earn to protect Mei that she had forgotten about her life. And really it was a selfish thing at the time, because if she were to die on that ship, would Mei had made it out alive?

Vega pounced out with her leg pulled out, directing it to Cain's head that was her first mistake to charge in with a kick. Especially because she was much slower with her legs than her arms and fists. Plunging one leg off air with leave one on the ground, and because her stance already didn't have balance. She could easily be knocked over with just a tap.

Cain watched how Vega changed stance, started to move around, it surprised Cain however that not a single world left her mouth. She had been sure of that that she would spit out more angry comments, but Cain didn't even get an "alright"? It was somewhat disappointing that the angry dog stopped barking, it lost is charm that way. A bit of the fun disappeared that way. But it was still a bit funny to see Vega take it so seriously, that she thought she would stand a chance. Bouncing around like that. Cain let her eyes wander over her opponent's body, inspecting the way she moved, making a chart inside her head to which attack and which counters would be the most effective. That was one thing she had learnt, that even if she liked to take things as they came it was always best to have a plan made up in her mind, a goal.

Cain didn't move around like Vega did, she just slid her right leg slightly backwards to give herself more balance as she rose her hands to protect, why Cain choose not to move was basically because she made the judgment that speed was not something required to take Vega down. Cain focused more on defense then attack, because there was no reason for her to take this that seriously. This was just a game for her, a small task to pass time, to show Vega that she really was nothing at all compared to Cain.

As the first attack was launched Cain was taken by surprise, not in a way that she actually would get hit because she was quick in stepping to the side and raising her arm, letting it take the kicks force, but she was surprised that it was just a kick. Vega didn't seem to be a person that would've trained such fighting styles, she seemed to be more of a boxing type of person. But apparently Cain had been wrong in that assumption. But she would not let such a small error get her off guard, because even if the force made the forearm ache a little it was nothing. In a quick motion Cain grabbed hold of the ankle just as it hit her and pushed it away from her, towards Vega. Pushing her backwards. Sure Cain was trained in both close and ranged combat, but no one would say that she was the best at it. She had never really cared for any of it. And the fact that throughout her upbringing she had always been forced to train many different things had never given her the opportunity to perfect any of her abilities. She was just above average, but not the best - but clearly that was something she denied. Cain herself thought she was the greatest.

Vega felt her ankle be grabbed, as she pushed back by it. Vega believed if Cain grabbed her however, that she would surely be knocked down. But no, Cain simply just shoved her, perhaps Cain thought it was to early to wrap Vega in grapple, taking her to the floor. Vega supposed, to her, there simply would not be any fun, if it all ended so quickly. Did Vega seriously think she could win? Of course not, but she knew just one successful strike against Cain's flesh would overpower any feeling of a bitter defeat. Vega could sense Cain's judgment, she tried thinking of the last time she won a fight- a hand to hand one, though Vega could not remember. Sure, there were times in the past where Vega got physical, but no one ever put up with it, well considering that "no one" was usually cops, that easily put her down with a taser and hand-cuffs. Vega was never actually good with authority, of either good or bad, she hated knowing that there was someone superior to her, not that Vega ever wanted power, but she didn't ever want to be controlled either. Its like Vega deserves to be where she is as a prisoner, as a slave, she first defied her mother, law enforcers, and now she has Cain. And between the three, Cain seemed the one most likely to have her bend knee.

Screw it! Vega thought to herself as she hammered with fist storming through, like again, she knew she was going to lose, so being reckless was really all she had left, Vega was not going to give up even if it was the smartest thing to do. Vega was always too determined to ever back down, too proud and prideful. And this went for any fight in any matters, not just physical, such as Petra. Fights with Petra were verbally and abusive, Vega gave Petra hell, trying to bully her out of helping Mei. Vega regrets it now, hurting the one person that saved her life. Though however, during the rush of fist streaming towards Cain, she was not necessarily even fast as punching, Vega was never quick. She has stamina, constitution, and willpower on her side, but never speed nor strength. But having stamina and constitution meant that she was strong enough to stand through hell longer than others. And willpower, meant she was hard headed enough to keep her insanity intact. But stubborn and stupid to begin starting the crisis in the first place.

Cain didn't expect any other outcome then to have Vega rise again after loosening her footing, because if it was something Cain had picked up on it was Vega's lack of knowledge when to give up. Just like with that tongue of hers, letting it run freely all the time when she shouldn't. But if Vega had remained on the ground after being pushed that would made Cain extremely disappointed. There was no fun in not even giving the opponent a chance to show what they got. And that was basically what Cain was doing, she wanted to test and see for herself what Vega really could do. She had seen the lack of speed while running, now she wanted to test out how she was when it comes to combat. It was basically all just a test, and sure she could had shoved someone else in and just observed but there was no fun in that. And she believed that you learnt more about another person’s body language and technics by experiencing them by yourself. When just standing at the side and observing other's there could be things you could miss or perhaps forget, feeling it made it much more real.

And sure Cain felt Vega's punches, but Cain just continued to dodge them by stepping out of range, move her body or blocking it with her own arms. But she wouldn't exactly say that it hurt, she felt them but they didn't make her want to withdraw or even flinch. And while she was just playing around with Vega testing her abilities Cain drew the conclusion that it probably was the lack of technique that caused the weak power. Maybe it was a lack of upper body strength too but Cain somewhat felt like it wasn't the big issue. And after a while of nothing more but dodging Cain was pretty sure that she had learnt everything there was to learn at the moment, Vega's attacks was rather predictable when you looked at it closer. And since Cain had decided that there was nothing more to see there was no more reason for her to just counter. So Cain awaited the right moment, the moment when Vega used the arm they had patched up as she and her sister had arrived since it moved slightly slower than the other with less power and when she strike with it Cain swiftly dodged it by instead of backing away or to the sides she moved her head out of the way and stepped closer to her. Moving so she was inside the punch instead, having it go over her shoulder. And as she was close she quickly grabbed hold of Vega's shoulders as she was off balance from the latest attack and drove her downwards as she drove the knee into her stomach. But she was not done there, as Vega was out of breath bent forward Cain used all her force as she drove her elbow right into Vega's back. Right onto the place where she had been branded.

Vega was aimless, careless, and reckless with her attack. She has no plan, her plan was nothing but a cry of desperation, wishing she could hurt Cain just once. Vega was successful at hitting Cain sometimes- but Cain was dodging most of the punches, but not hurting her. There would be no victory without a clear initiative, and the only clear thing to Vega now was that she was going to lose. Like the way she slammed her body against the wall in solitary confinement back on Morus, she slammed her fist impulsively. And she knew how the story ended, how her first life ended, she died to her own obstinacy. But in this occasion, death would be luxury.

The repetitive motion of Vega's curled jabs, was interrupted as Cain shifted position and latched onto Vega's shoulder, feeling her knee pound into her stomach, Vega gasped, head bounced up as she tried filling her lungs with oxygen. She collapsed to the ground, arms hugging the placement of the most recent strike, still as she was conflicted to recover from having air knocked from her lungs. She was not even paying attention to Cain no longer, the only priority to Vega was to start breathing again. In middle of the struggle, she thought in the back of her mind, maybe her life was going to end right here, right now. Cain repeated over and over the day before of how useless Vega was, and beating someone to death seemed to be something Cain would enjoy, though Vega only knew the woman for less than twenty-four hours. But no, it was not that simply, it was not that easy, Cain would just keep giving Vega that hope that she would end her life and all this would be over. But Cain had not a hint of mercy.

"Argh!" Vega cried when she felt Cain's elbow smashed against the brand seared into the back of her neck the day before. "Shit!" Vega continued as she reacted to what she thought would be the finally blow. Vega didn't know, but she would be punished for her failure, no matter how unfair to her it seemed. In fact, Vega thought the fight in itself was some form of unjustified punishment, but what a surprise she was in stored for. "I-Is it that it? Had fun? Expect something else? You some kind of badass? Let me guess, you have been fighting since the day you were ripped from your mother's womb. Speaking of your mom, what did she do so wrong to be curse to give birth to you?" The worse part about what Vega had said was that was she had no idea who Cain was, no idea...

"I-Is it that it? Had fun? Expect something else? You some kind of badass? Let me guess, you have been fighting since the day you were ripped from your mother's womb. Speaking of your mom, what did she do so wrong to be curse to give birth to you?"

Was that supposed to make Cain hurt or angry? Because if that was the point it didn't work, at least that was what Cain told herself as she grabbed Vega's hair just to lift her head up by it just to smash it back down into the ground. She wasn't angry at all, nope, so happy she could be. It was like burning coals had placed in her chest, boiling the blood that got pumped around the body, making every tine bit of her feel feverish.

"You are correct, I have been trained since the day I was big enough to walk by myself, which I probably had to learn by myself. Because it was not my mother that was cursed with having me. It was me that was cursed with her as my mother" Cain picked up Vega's head from the ground again, staring coldly at the bloody face, "Since you insist on talking about her over and over and over again I will let you in on a secret of mine. You know that dear Overseer you are so keen to meet so you can talk with her. That's who created me, I'm the offspring of that woman. I was breed to obey that woman, raised to follow her orders, to protect her life work." In a low voice Cain hissed, "I was born a slave, bonded by the blood I share with her, there is no escape for me. I will forever be her slave, if I don't put an end to it."

Cain let go of Vega's head and stood up properly again. She was finally calming down and she didn't even care if Vega hadn't perceived what she had said, it just felt better after getting it out f her. And the soldiers around her already knew of it so it wasn't like she had said anything shocking to them. Cain was not dumb enough to say such things among people she didn't knew of and there wasn't anything else but cameras surrounding the training grounds so no one could hear what she said. They could just watch and wonder.

"I don't tolerate failure and since you lost you will get punished for it. So try better next time or you will suffer the same punishment. It was you that choose your fate, remember, you wished to be a slave, and then you will be treated accordingly." Cain removed the whip from her belt again, preparing to punish Vega for her loss as two guards got a hold on her arms, ensuring that she wouldn't be able to escape the hits. Seven strikes against the back, that was all. Cain doubted that more would be needed, the loss was probably a big enough hit on her pride.

"You are correct, I have been trained since the day I was big enough to walk by myself, which I probably had to learn by myself. Because it was not my mother that was cursed with having me. The Overseer? Vega quieted again, she needed to process this, if it were possible. B-but the Overseer, she's not like Cain, not this lunatic, sure she has no emotions, but then that makes her the opposite of Cain. However, she never assault me nor Mei. Then why does Cain have me? Was it even the Overseer's order to recapture me? Why do they need Mei- want Mei? Though, asking questions to herself, only confused her even more, sprung up even more queries like, Where is the Overseer? Why is she refusing to let me even see her? But those statements truly did explain a lot to Vega, it explained why Cain separated herself from the Enlighteners, why she saw herself higher than the Overseer. She spoke negatively, and slanderous of the woman, with this Vega just had to ask this question out loud, "Why so hypocritical? You try to break every ounce of rebellion inside of me, but you yourself is rebellious."

"I don't tolerate failure and since you lost you will get punished for it. So try better next time or you will suffer the same punishment. It was you that choose your fate, remember, you wished to be a slave, and then you will be treated accordingly."

Vega's arms were jerked from off the ground, held by two guards. She was familiar with this position, she assumed what was in store for her. "You try to forge me strong, but you beat me afterwards. What's the point in that you crazy-- Argh!!!" Vega yelled with the first lash kissed over her already mangled back. "I-I'm not your-- Argh!!!" It was almost as if Vega knew her strength derived from her anger, her defiance. And if Cain were to break it from her, then Vega would believe she would just become weaker.

After the beating, Vega was throw on a blanket of her blood. As Cain was walking away, she mustarded enough strength to rise up, and stand tall enough to speak, "I'm not finish... Not yet. I'm never giving up, guess you will have to beat me to death." If there was one good trait of Vega it was that she was persistent, determined and courageous, even if at the moment her boldness would be mistaken for foolishness. But Was Vega in pain? Yes, but pain was not something she thought about- her next blighted insult was however; she concerned herself of what revenge will taste like, how long it will last, and how long it will take before she taste it.
