a character in “The Age of Gifted”, as played by Miss Echo

Full Name: Allen Jude Memoli

Nicknames/Aliases: Allen, Idiot

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Gift: Mental Manipulation

Loyalty: Wanderer

Description: Allen isn’t exactly hard on the gaze, with defined features, messy black hair, and pale blue eyes. His build is almost feline, as is how he holds himself; often appearing as if he has no worry in the world, no matter what is occurring around him. In connection with this, a sly smirk or smile often plays on his lips, giving him an overall smug look. He has a habit of wearing gloves wherever he goes, something he does for no real reason.

Personality: Flirtatious. Self-assured. Charismatic. Flippant. Allen is someone you’d hang around when bored or lonely, then avoid the rest of the time due to his general lack of seriousness. He often hangs around those he knows dislike him, however, throwing as many innuendos as he can think of their way, clinging to them, and making a strong effort to get a reaction out of them.

In layman’s terms, Allen is very much a troll.

Beneath this, however, the man is extremely cunning and cynical, holding the philosophy of “every man for himself” tight, and turning away most who try to dig deeper into what makes him tick. He holds his cards close to his chest, observing those surrounding him from afar and constantly prying for more information. He is generally apathetic towards the group; however, his sister is a soft spot for him, and he attempts to live through her by keeping her from turning into someone like him.

Skills: Allen is a very powerful mental manipulator, capable of similar, if not more, feats than his younger sister. Telepathy, standard mind-reading, etc.; all are a potential at his fingertips. He’s also adept at reading people and putting up fronts, and can at least defend himself in a fight with someone. In addition, Allen has excellent observational skills that, when combined with his Gift, allow him to read people quite well.

Weaknesses: Not only is Allen mostly uncaring towards the Wanderers, he is also extremely lazy, meaning that he rarely, if ever, lifts a finger to help them during a conflict. Allen is also very selfish, caring mostly for himself and Dawn. He enjoys indulging in complete hedonism, and refuses to take most things with actual genuineness.

Brief History: Born in one of the towns that had sprouted up after the war, Allen grew up in a rather happy home. Of course, there was always an occasional fight, as with most households, but otherwise things were peaceable. Veterans of the war would constantly pass by to visit the house, and, although he didn’t particularly find interest in the matter of humans and Gifted, it gave him a decent education towards the war. He loved his family dearly, and such, when his house was lit on fire as retaliation for his parents refusing to pick a side, Allen was devastated- especially as his Gift allowed him to fully comprehend what was happening- and sought revenge.

He traveled with Dawn for a few months before leaving her at a supermarket, and, promising to return, went out to train himself. He grew in power, learning fully how to control it, then set out to stage attacks on several faction bases. Allen soon discovered his empathy brought upon his powers was too much, however, and soon gave up with an amount of depression; although not before he was captured, tortured, and turned into a mute.

After traveling for some time, he eventually decided to find his sister once again, hoping to keep her from becoming similar to him. He eventually found her, and, after reconciling, joined the group. Allen was eventually healed, and currently remains with the Wanderers.
