a character in “The Age of Gifted”, as played by ianna_334

Full Name: Daevas

Nicknames/Aliases: Dae, Daevie, Experiment D81S

Age: Somewhere in his thirties or fourties...he thinks

Gender: Male

Loyalty: Olive, Himself

-Molecular disassembly and reassembly +sight of what he’s affected
-Small scale teleportation (teleport small objects)
-Small scale flame generation (about the same as a lighter)
-Small scale light generation (he can...sparkle?)
-Small scale emotion manipulation
-Small scale navigation (always knows where north is)

Description: A large muscled man, Daevas hasn’t had pale skin since his escape from Erubesco years ago. His looks accurately convey that he favours brawn over brains. He has a simple face, very open and honest, and the rough beginnings of a beard more often than not. He is most often seen smiling broadly, with some added sparkle from his light gift.

Personality: Daevas is not a complex man. He dislikes the factions and wants to avoid them at all costs. He feels protectively paternal towards Olive, and warily tolerant of Misoka. He’s not one for complex moral issues, with a very straightforward way of thinking. He’s friendly to strangers but not immediately trusting, and though he’s not book smart, Daevas has learned many life lessons over his years.

-Fist fighting
-Fending off Misoka
-Making the most of what he has

-Simple thought processes
-Not many powerful gifts
- Strategy? What’s that?

Brief History: Daevas was an Erubesco orphan with no chance, neither pretty nor cute nor powerful. His genes reported that he had a gift, but no one was able to identify it and the kid himself had no clue. He was taken off to the labs, where they attempted to give him a new gift, but nothing seemed to take. Nothing triggered the powers he was meant to have. Eventually, the scientists gave up and said D81S should be terminated. By then a young man, Daevas had never been educated, but some of his cellmates were willing to elaborate.
Finding out he would soon die, every fibre of his being protested, and his numerous gifts responded to his distress. What had happened, and what the scientists failed to see, was that all the gifts were present… Just on small, barely applicable scales. His only full powered gift was his original, that of molecular level manipulation, but with his form broken into its smallest components, his underpowered teleportation could take him away.
Now free, Daevas survived by luck and instinct until he ran into Misoka and Olive. He joined them as the third in their unit, and though he began to see Olive as a daughter, his relationship with Misoka has always been strained.

-Any gifts that were granted to him by experiment are exceptionally weak and will never be beyond a certain power level
-Ever since Misoka told him about it, he’s wanted to try pie

So begins...

Daevas's Story
