Castiel waited for Abigail's response, expecting her to say that she was fine. However an escaped sneeze didn't allow her to finish. Cas felt worry immediately settle into his stomach but Abby mentioned that it was probably allergies. She didn't look sick and she didn't feel sick judging by what she said, so perhaps she was correct. It could just be regular human allergies. At least, Cas would treat it as such. "We'll pick up some medicine on the way" he said as he got to his feet and began gathering Abigail's belongings for her. "I would like to take you on an official date" he said as he looked down at her, his usual charming smile carefully placed on his lips. "In fact I'd like to take you on many dates" he said as he gently took her hand. He knew the council would find out about this sooner or later and would not be too happy but at this moment he couldn't care about anything or anyone other than the girl in front of him. "Miss Abigail, How would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Image

Leon waited for his response and felt the tiniest hint of relief from his answer. So he wasn't a completely brainwashed muscle head. The real Roman was still in there. Assuming that the council did erase or tamper with his boyfriend's memory, there was only one logical thing to do. He had to restore them. Leon had to somehow bring back Roman's memories. He took a few steps back and began pacing again, attempting to come up with some sort of plan. He couldn't do much behind bars. Then Roman spoke again, asking about Cordelia as if he didn't know who she was. Or, perhaps he didn't. Not that it mattered. "Why don't you ask the head council man who she is?" Leon muttered as he turned and walked back up to the bars. His eyes were back to their usual cold self as their pierced into Roman's. "You are his lap dog now, aren't you". Leon felt a stab of guilt run through him. He knew none of this was Roman's fault, or at least that's what he wanted to believe and the man probably didn't understand why he was being attacked. But if there was some way to get his memories back, this had to be it.

Abigail smiled softly as Cas' comment. He was offering to go with her to get medicine. But she didn't even know where she was going. Casteel just started packing up her things and she watched wondering what his plan was. "I would like to take you on an official date" Her face resembled the ripest tomato. Abby hasn't ever been on an official date. Let alone been with someone she truly cared about for as long has she been around Cas. She could feel her temperature rising, but she concluded that it was from her minor freak out. Abby would love to go on a date with Mr. Perfect, but she was choking on the words. Her face wasn't returning to it's normal color anytime soon. She needed to say something before Cas thought she wasn't interested. She opened her mouth, but closed it when Mr. Perfect as the clumsy dancer to be his girlfriend. She covered her face with bother her hands. How could one person have such a strong affect on her. She thought Roman was bad, but Cas has kept her a different shade since he got here. When her face calmed down, she looked at him with a smile. "I-I-I..." Abby started to see specks on black. Maybe the high temperature wasn't from excitement. Then without much warning, Abby fainted.

Roman didn't think the fugitive would give Cordelia away so easily. They must be close friends to be able to hold in each others' whereabouts. The head angel couldn't imagine doing that. Breaking the rules was stupid. And the angel that ran away was even dumber. But that wasn't the problem. Cordelia wasn't his focus. It was Leon. Leon and his cold hearted attitude. Leon and his spiteful words. Roman refused to let it show in his face, but his words were getting to him. Not that it should. Leon was the one behind bars. Roman was well respected by the council. But it wasn't because he was a lap dog. It was from following orders. But why was Roman letting Leon's pettiness get to him. "I am not a lap dog. I just know my place." If following orders kept him next to Leon behind bars he would continue to be obedient. "Now tell me. Who is Cordelia and where can I find her?"

Castiel watched as Abigail turned an unhealthy shade of red and he smiled softly. Just the reaction he would expect. However his smile slowly began to fade when he skin began to turn a sickly yellow color. It’s as if she had gone from healthy to near death in less than five seconds. He watched in horror as she attempted to speak before completely collapsing. ”Abby!” thankfully his god-like reflexes allowed him to catch her before she could hit or bump her head n anything. He picked her up in his arms and pressed his forehead to hers. She was burning up and after further digging he realized that he knew what she had all too well. ”Bastards” he hissed. He sat her down briefly to pick up his hone. He knew Cordelia was probably with Abigail’s brother, and Case might need some back up.
[To Cordelia]
[Abby fainted. They infected her again. I’m taking her to Eden]

Without waiting anther second be out his hone away and scooped her off, quickly heading to somewhere private where he could take flight and get her to the island.

Leon watched Roman’s face. There was something behind those eyes. He could tell his words were hitting him right where he wanted. He felt guilty, awful, for having to talk to him that way but he had no other choice. He needed his Roman to come back. "I am not a lap dog. I just know my place." Leon almost laughed and cried at the same time. He wanted to scream at him, tell him that this wasn’t even close to being his place. His place was back on the mainland, next to him, in that cozy little apartment. If he said any of that though, he’d most likely get made fun and Leon didn’t think he could handle that. Not from Roman. ”You don’t know a single thing” he only muttered. Roman insisted on getting the information out of him, but Leon’s cold face didn’t falter for a second. ”You may be a traitor but I’m not like that…” he said, looking up at the slightly taller man. ”Who and where she is doesn’t concern you”.

Cordelia was confused by Aidan's condition. He seemed to have a human cold, but that couldn't be the case. It couldn't be. She wasn't going to tell him she thought that he had Angel's Disease. She was just going to sit here with him until he was able to get better. His soup was untouched and getting cold. She would really get him to eat something. If Abby comes back to find out Cordelia was acting more like a girlfriend than a nurse, she might not be left alone with Aidan again. Girlfriend? Where they even dating? That question would need to be asked when Aidan felt 100% better. "You should eat. I am going to reheat the soup." Cordelia slid out of bed and grabbed the bowl. She waltzed into the kitchen o reheat the soup. During her wait, her phone vibrated. She read it and immediately was faced with a moral decision. Tell her brother about Abby and risk him knowing everything about her and Cas and the disease. Or. Don't tell him and get Cas to secretly heal him risking persecution. The ding from the microwave took her from her thoughts. Her decision was made. Grabbing the bowl she walked back into Aidan's room. "So I have good news and okay news and bad news." She placed the bowl down on the nightstand. "Good news. The soup is all warm!" She said enthusiastically.

Roman was tired of Leon ditching the question and trying to get into his head. It was rather annoying and hurting his feelings. He was practically fighting himself trying not to show his emotions. An when he officially denied the head angel the whereabouts of the other fugitive, Roman just looked at him. He wasn't getting to get him to say anything. Leon was clearly not going to give up anything. And Roman was tired of getting his feelings hurt. He was irritated with the fact that someone he had just met was getting in his head. "Fine." Although his face didn't show it, his voice was practically a dead giveaway. Roman turned back around so that his back was to the bars. Briefly he looked down at the ground and then back up at the wall. He was attempting to push away the words Leon through at him.

Aidan was trying to will himself to get better, but he only seemed to be having the opposite effect. His body hurt more and more by the minute and his head felt like it was going to explode into a million pieces. He continued to having coughing fits, even when he tried to suppress them, so as to not worry Cordelia more than necessary. She volunteered to go reheat the soup and he only nodded. He wasn’t hungry really, not at all, but he would feel guilty if he didn’t at least attempt to eat the soups his sister had so lovingly made for him. He could hear Cordelia bustling around in the kitchen and he smiled to himself. It was so sweet of her to take care of him. If he were able to speak clearly, he would have just asked her to be his girlfriend. He watched as she walked back in and said she had news of all kinds. After telling him the good news, he simply looked at her expectantly, waiting for what came next.

Castiel landed on Eden and immediately rushed Abigail over to the lab. She had to be pardoned. She needed to be. There was no way in hell Castiel would allow Abigail to go through the excruciating pain of being transformed into an angel. Unfortunately though, there was only one way a human could be pardoned a second time, and Castiel couldn’t do it alone no matter how badly he wanted to. He sat Abigail down on a small bed, pulling a blanket over her and walked over to the wall to sound the alarm. Within seconds, a couple of council members came running in, ready to convert the girl into an angel. ”You touch her and you die, understand me?” he hissed and the two men just nodded. ”You, go get my father, now!” he barked the orders and the man he pointed at immediately turned to carry out his mission, only to be stopped mid step. ”That won’t be necessary” the head council man said as he walked in and up to Abigail. He inspected her from head to toe before giving the men orders. ”What are Yu waiting for? Convert her”.

Though Roman’s face hid it well, Leon could tell his words were affecting him. They were affecting him in a way he probably didn’t even understand. Leon had half a mind to back down, but he took in a deep breath and rested his back against the cold bars so that he and Roman were now back to back. He had to keep going, for both their sakes, he needed to save Roman. ”What’s so special about you anyway?” he muttered, loud enough for Roman to hear. In his head he was answering his own questions. There was so much about roman that made him special. That was probably the reason they did this. The reason they decoded to turn him into the council’s project instead of killing him. ”The only reason the council took you in was because of me.” That wasn’t a lie. Leon kept his voice firm and his eyes on the ground, meanwhile his insides were breaking. He gripped one of the bars with both hands and shut his eyes to keep them from tearing up. ”They’ll come and kill me eventually, and then they’ll have no use for you”. I’m sorry Roman.... His mind kept repeating that line after every insult.

Cordelia got a better look at Aidan and realized that he was just getting worse. And by worse he looked like his sister when she was sick. She needed help. She would like Cas to cure him, but he wouldn't. Aidan is a nobody to him. The council wouldn't do it. Aidan has to be converted. Soon. Before he claims to have vision problems. But he was patiently waiting for the rest of the news. "Bad news. Your sister is sick again. Okay news. Cas is taking her to Eden." There was no time to explain why Cas bringing Abby to Eden was only okay news. To humans, Eden was the safe haven. But they had no idea. Cordelia moved closer to Aidan. "But I need you to come with me to Eden as well." She started using her angel strength to get him up and out of bed. Cordelia didn't have time for protest and questions. Aidan was only getting worse. Using her free hand she sent a text to Cas.
[TO: Casteel]
[MSG: Aidan is sick. I am bringing him to Eden.]

He needed a heads up that the angel he broke out of jail was returning to the people that wanted her dead.

Roman was hanging off Leon's words. There was nothing special about Roman. Besides the fact that his wings were bigger and he was much stronger than the average angel. But on the inside they were all converted humans. What was worse about that, Roman doesn't remember anything before waking up on the table. But from Leon, it was as if he was just a nobody. Something not even the angels wanted to claim. It hurt ten times more. Roman wasn't sure how much more he could take. ”They’ll come and kill me eventually, and then they’ll have no use for you” Kill Leon? No. They couldn't kill Leon. Roman wouldn't let that happen. He was getting a serious headache as he battled the thoughts in his head. The head angel wouldn't let Council kill Leon. But he didn't know why. He didn't know why this fugitive meant so much to me. He didn't know why he couldn't imagine life without seeing Leon's face. He didn't understand the desire to break Leon out of the prison. Roman just didn't know. And he didn't appreciate Leon confusing and breaking him all at the same time. The extremely confused and saddened angel turned around and looked over the fugitive. "Why are you hurting me?" Roman wasn't asking Leon to stop or having him thinking about it. Roman wanted to know why Leon's words actually meant something to him. Why they were penetrating the barrier he believed he had up.

"Don't you dare" Case hissed as the other two council members began to move towards Abigail to follow the head's orders. They stopped after hearing Case' demand, unsure of what to do. "They don't take orders from you when I'm here. Convert her" the boss repeated. The other two looked at one another in confusion, then continued moving towards the girl. "I told you, if you touch her you're dead" Case repeated, making them stop once again. His father seemed to be irritated, or he would have been if that were possible, and turned to face Castiel. "What do you plan on doing, letting her die?" the older god questioned and Castiel let out a loud sigh. "I want you to pardon her". The man stared back at his son with an odd look. "I don't need to remind you that you already did that once, illegally might I add. It can't be done again". Castiel rolled his eyes and took a step closer to the man. "It can and it will".

Aidan listened as Cordelia explained that Abigail had gotten sick again and she was being taken to Eden. Eden. What was that again? He remembered seeing and hearing the name somewhere, but where? His mind was becoming more cloudy by the second. Eden… was an island. He could remember that much. An island for curing? He assumed that’s what it was, f Abigail was being taken there. He remained silent for a moment as everything slowly came back to him. That island was only for those infected with the angel’s disease. Aidan’s eyes widened and he looked at Cordelia, just as she announced that he had to be taken as well. He and Abigail both had it. When had this happened? ”A-Abby-“ Aidan was more concerned about his sister but he couldn’t speak, r even think. His vision was beginning to blur. The last thing he saw was Cordelia coming to him and kicking him up and then everything went completely dark.

Image

Leon kept his gaze glued to the floor in silence, until finally, roman turned around. "Why are you hurting me?". So his words were having an impact after all. He got what he wanted, but it didn’t make Leon feel any less awful about hurting him. ”Why?” he repeated quietly as he turned to face the other. He knew what Roman was asking. He didn’t ask Leon why he was being insulted, nor did he tell him to shut up. He asked why it hurt, and Leon had to tell him the truth. ”Who do you think they caught me sleeping with?” he asked, knowing Roman was smart enough to fit the pieces together. ”Why do you think it is that you can’t remember anything other than waking up and being told to capture me.?”. His eyes locked with Roman’s and his chest felt tight, but he had to continue. Roman needed to know that this wasn’t his place. ”Why do you think, out of all the angels on Eden, they chose you to lock me up?”. His eyes were beginning to swell with tears. This turned out to be harder than he thought. If Roman didn’t believe him, Leon didn’t know what he’d do. ”They knew this would hurt me… they knew-“. He stopped talking and looked at the ground. He couldn’t break down in tears, not here and mot now. Not until Roman remembered.

Cordelia had manged to get Aidan up out of the bed, but he just passed out in her arms. The angels eyes widened in pure panic. For some reason she thought that she had way more time. But he was going. He was slipping away and the only thing she could do was get him to Eden. She was sure to be arrested the moment she stepped on the island, but so long as Aidan was cured it wouldn't matter. Using her strength, she picked Aidan up and left his house. Giving a brief look around, she quickly sprouted her angel wings and took off towards Eden. Clearly she would have to explain everything or Cas would have to explain everything when Aidan wakes up. Getting to the Island, she flew straight through the halls. The angels saw Cordelia were confused to why she was here. They all know she was broken out of the jail. And what they clearly wanted to know was why she was holding a human man. Cordelia didn't have time to stop and answer question. "Council!" She entered an empty converging room and laid Aidan on the table. A couple members walked in and immediately went for Cordelia. "I won't leave. But please...please...convert him." One of the council members held her as the others got to work.

Image

Roman thought Leon would avoid this question as well, but all he did was just get the head angel to think. To think about why he doesn't remember anything. Why he was feeling the way he did about Leon. Thinking about why he was arresting someone he clearly wouldn't be able to remember. Roman and Leon were lovers. But why didn't Roman remember. Why wasn't he allowed to remember? The angel took a few shaky steps away from the cage. He loved someone and he doesn't even recognize them. Roman doesn't remember anything about Leon. This was almost like their first encounter. Leon could be lying for all he knows. Taking advantage of the fact that the older male was clearly confused. This whole thing could be a set up. Leon could actually be the bad guy. He was behind bars. But something was telling him that he should believe this. Believe Leon's pain. Believe his own pain. Roman ran both hands roughly through his hair. Roman wants to remember. He does. He wants at least one brief memory of Leon to validate the statement, but he can't. "I don't-" Roman looked down at the ground. "I don't know you. I don't remember you. I can't remember anything about you. How do I know you aren't lying?" He wasn't going to make eye contact with the fugitive in fear of a total break down.

Aidan awoke with a scream as a sharp pain pierced through his entire body. He attempted to open his eyes but his vision was fuzzy, blocked by the tears that had accumulated in his eyes from the pain. Where was he? What was going on? Why did he hurt so much? There were hands all over him, as well as cold tools, sharp needles and more pain. He cried out in agony and clenched his firsts. He knew he was surrounded by people, he could hear voices, but he didn’t recognize any of them. Where was his sister? Where was Cordelia? He remembered being with her but everything else was hazy. No, nt hazy, just gone. He couldn’t remember a single thing. Another jolt of pain run-through him, followed by another cry. And then everything suddenly stopped. The hands were gone and the voices had died down. All the tools were gone as well. A slow and heavy sleep slowly began to take over his body until he had blacked out once again.

Image

The man stared back at Castiel with piercing blue eyes, much like his own, and Case glared. ”Do you think you can threaten me and I’ll obey?” the man replied and Castiel let out an irritated grunt. He looked at Abigail. She had only seconds of life left in her. He had to do something and do it quickly. ”My life for hers” he said, turning back to his father. The man titled his head, not really understanding what he meant. ”She can take my soot in the council, and you can take my life… my power, and make the council stronger”. The man paused, seemingly considering Castiel’s offer. [b]”Why?” he asked, turning to look at the girl. ”Why do you care so much about what happens to her? How can you even care?”. The man seemed genuinely confused and Castiel didn’t really know the answer to the first part of his question. Why did he care so much? ”Take it or leave it”. There was a short pause before the man nodded, shortly after dismissing the other two council members. ”Lets get to work”.

Image

Leon watched Roman with guilt. He was hurting, and it was Leon’s fault. No… it wasn’t Leon’s fault. This was all the council’s fault. It was their fault and he and Roman were both hurting. "I don't know you. I don't remember you. I can't remember anything about you. How do I know you aren't lying?". Leon let out a humorless laugh as he rested his forehead against the cold metal. ”I’m already behind bars… and will most likely be dead by tomorrow. What would I have to gain from lying to you?”. Leon knew this wouldn’t end well for him, but he needed Roman to remember. He wanted roman to remember and fly as far away from Eden as possible. ”You have to leave Eden” he muttered as he straightened himself up. ”Roman…look at me!” he raised his voice enough to get the make to look up for a second and took advantage by locking eyes with him as he spoke. ”You have to get out of here… before they kill you too. Please just… go.”. Leon wasn’t asking for the impossible. He just wanted Roman to survive.

Abigail slowly woke up with blurry vision. Black specs floated around and she could barely make out the faces. But she could hear people. They were talking about doing something. Something to Abby. And she wanted to protest, but the words weren't coming out. The young girl didn't have a say in what was going on. She didn't even know what was going on. If Abigail could move, she would resist. Resist the touching. Resist the poking. Resist the pain. But she is stuck there. To be used and possibly disposed of. And she never got to tell Casteel how she felt. That she wanted to be his girlfriend. Just then a long high pitched scream escaped her. Her insides were burning. It was like someone set off a forest fire in her. The pain became unbearable. Abigail began thrashing about. Begging to be set free from the torture. Death would have been better than what she was feeling. After a while she started to calm down. Her body was cooling off and she felt pleasantly warm. Like a hidden light was being awoken inside of her. And soon she went right back to sleep. Her chest rising and falling, for that was the only sign of life.

Image

Cordelia watched the whole thing. She couldn't help but watch the most awful thing happen to Aidan. He was dying and she only had this option. But she wished that it could be painless or that she didn't have to watch. The council seemed to be working faster than usual. Aidan must have been on his last lifeline. When they finished she thought that he had passed. He wasn't moving and the council didn't say anything. Cordelia looked at them. "Well?! Is he going to be okay!" The angel wasn't tolerating silence. A council member just waved her away. The bigger Gods grabbed her and she started thrashing. Cordelia had to stay for when he woke up. She had to be the one to explain. The council just kept dragging her away. At first she thought she was going to her normal jail cell, but they made a different left. And right away she knew where she was going. "No wait!" Breaking tons of rules. Escaping jail several times. And practically throwing herself over the edge when she beat up two of the council members. The got her in the room and chained her arms and legs. They left her alone. In the dark. Only the worse of angels get sent here. It's to be dewinged. Only one person can do that. She was not looking forward to seeing the head council man walk in here.

Image

Roman had to do something. Anything about his feelings. About his memories. About Leon. About the council. Just anything. Roman couldn't just do nothing. Not right now. Not when he had to rediscover himself. The head angel believed Leon. He believed him with every fiber in his body, but he couldn't just let him go. They would realize something was up. If he is freed they would surely both be dead. Leon wanted him to leave and Roman shook his head. When Leon shouted, the two locked eyes. Roman was determined not to leave Leon. Even if that mean dying. "No. I can't just leave. I wouldn't know where I should go." Roman doesn't remember anything but Eden. His feelings for Leon wasn't enough to help him successfully get away. "I'm going to get you out. Just give me a moment to think of something."

It was quiet. Not a single voice or sound surrounded him. Aidans's eyes were still closed and his body, for the most part, was numb. The pain from before was completely gone now. He wasn't sure if it was because he was on medication, or if he was dead or what. His eyes then slowly slid open only to squint and nearly close again at the brightness in the room. Where was her? There was a light above him and it was making him uneasy. He opened his eyes enough to see and just barely turned his head to look around. There was no one. He wanted to speak, call out to somebody, but he didn't know who. He paused for a minute to think. There was Abby. His sister, she was also sick. Where was she? His heart beat began to increase and he managed to move his finger and toes a bit. He wanted to call out for Abigail but no sound came out. Then there was a sound of a door opening and closing and footsteps. "Please remain calm. the voice was unfamiliar and emotionless. "You will be able to move soon". He didn't recognize the man speaking to him, and Cordelia was nowhere to be seen. Was this someone that worked with her. He couldn't remember anything.

Image

Castiel worked alongside his father to cure Abigail. His heart sank jut by watching her suffer. This was painful for her. He knew that much. Not as painful as being converted into an angel, but her body was receiving immense out of power that it wasn't used to. Castiel geld onto one of her hands as he worked with the other. His father remained silent through the entire process, seemingly very concentrated in what he was doing. Abigail's eyes remained closed the entire time, but she was somewhat conscious. Castiel could tell. There were two other council members in the room assisting, but Castiel didn't pay them any min. Finally they reached the end of the process. Abigail was cured. She was weak now, but she was alive and she was cured. She would recover in no time. Gods always recovered quicker. "Give me a few minutes" he said to his father. The man didn't protest, probably taking it as his son's final wish, and left along with the other two. Cas took both of Abigail's hands in his and watched her silently, waiting until she opened her eyes. Until then, he wouldn't leave.

Image

Leon watched Roman struggle with his own thoughts and he let out a frustrated sigh. What was he waiting for? He could just leave. But Roman refused to leave. He didn't know where to go, but Leon could tell him. He could explain to Roman how to get back to the mainland and hide. Why wasn't he listening? "I'm going to get you out. Just give me a moment to think of something.". Leon's eyes widened and and he took a couple of steps back. What was he thinking? "No, Roman don't! Just go!". If Roman set him free they would no doubt both he hunted down and killed. "Listen to me for once!" he pleaded, stepping a little closer. "Last time I saw you I asked you not to follow me, and look what happened". He knew Roman didn't remember this, but Leon did. Leon remembered clearly. "Please just do as I say and go!".

Abigail was exhausted. She physically felt as though she couldn't move. Like there was a weight holding her down. But soon she felt weightless. Like she could jump higher and run faster. But she wasn't going to move. Because just earlier she was in excruciating pain. The young woman was confused. Her first thought went to her brother. She needed to get back to him. He was sick and needed her. Abigail started to move a bit, her eyes still closed. She remembered that Cordelia was with him so she relaxed. But then she remembered Cas. The last person she remembered Casteel. She doesn't know where he is. Mr. Perfect could be somewhere looking for her. Or he could be feeling rejected. She needed told him him yes. Abigail's eyes slowly fluttered opened, with the determination to find Casteel. Her eyes adjusted to the bright light and the setting change. She had no idea where she was. Her eyes quickly found worry filled blue eyes. There was only one person she knew with eyes that blue. "Cas..?" she blinked a few times and attempted to sit up. There was a heavy weight on her chest and she just laid back down. Sudden movements was clearly not a good idea. Abby's attention went back to Mr. Perfect. Her brown eyes filled with so much confusion as she found his blue ones."Where I am?"

Roman couldn't think of a way to get them both out with a guarantee they will remain alive. It was almost impossible. But Roman couldn't just leave Leon. Not like this. Not to be killed. As much as Leon didn't want Roman to lose his life was how Roman felt about his life. Leon kept yelling at him to leave and for a moment Roman just let him yell. But he wasn't moving. "Please just do as I say and go!" "No!" Roman shouted back. "I already feel like I lost you and now I have the chance to get you back." When Roman woke up from the table, he had an empty feeling in his chest that he was sure that he was missing. But he was so busy trying to follow directions that he never figured it out. But Leon was his missing piece. And he had the chance to get him back. "Please..." Tears filled Roman's eyes as he gripped the jail cell bars. He didn't want to lose Leon again. He had just gotten him back. Even if he doesn't remember what they went through, he could feel it. "Let me try and get you out." He was practically begging. But he know that if Leon didn't want to be taken out, Roman couldn't really do anything.

"Cas..?". Castiel immediately turned his head in the direction of the voice and he smiled in relief. ”Hey” he said softly, carefully stopping her when she attempted to sit up. "Where I am?". She seemed concerned, and she was still weak, but he couldn’t tell her everything yet. It was too soon and she needed to rest. ”You’re safe” he said simply, keeping a hold of her hands. ”How do you feel?”. She didn’t seem to be in pain, but Castiel wasn’t that skilled at reading other’s emotions just yet. He could hardly handle his own. Needless tosay that he was worried about her. They had never converted a human into a god before. At least, there was never the need to do so. Cas didn’t know what effect this would have on her, or her body. But whatever happened, he would be right beside her to help her through it.

No matter how much Leon pleaded and shouted at him to leave, Roman wouldn’t budge. Quite the opposite. "I already feel like I lost you and now I have the chance to get you back." This statement caught Leon off guard. This is something he didn’t count on. It’s something the council probably didn’t count on either. Even without his memories, Roman still loved him. Leon bit down on his lip to keep from tearing up and watched as the new angel approached him. Their eyes met and for a moment, it was as if they were back in his apartment, just enjoying each other’s company. Roman pleaded for him to be allowed to break him out and Leon’s resolve completely crumbled, how he always managed to do that was beyond him. ”Fine” he said quietly. ”Fine” he repeated as he looked up at him once again. It seemed like “fine” was the word Roman heard the most from him. ”I know a place where we can hide until we can get help” he almost whispered this, in case any other angels were attempting to listen in. This wouldn’t be an easy task, and if Roman was caught, Leon wouldn’t leave without him. Either they escaped together or not at all.

Abigail had no doubt in her mind that her she was safe. She always felt safe with Mr. Perfect. But she just wanted to know where she was with him. He was holding her hand and she could barely feel the touch. Her body was numb and yet surging with energy. The brunette didn't know what to do or exactly how to feel. Casteel asked about that, but she didn't know how to answer. She took a moment to think about a way to answer that question. "I don't know. I know I'm exhausted, but my body is numb." Abby thought that it would be okay. Eventually she would be able to feel everything. Casteel still looked worried and she didn't know that was a good thing. Abigail continued to watch Casteel. Following his eyes. "Is there something wrong Cas?"

Image

Roman thought that Leon would try to fight him on this decision. Or reject him just to get the head angel to leave. But Leon agreed. Now he needed to find out how to get him out without being spotted. Leon knew a place where they could hide which was all they needed. Quickly looking down the hallway he saw that it was empty. He still had keys to the gate and the handcuffs. He slid it open and then gently took the handcuffs off Leon. "I will follow you." Roman released his wings quite slowly.

Cas watched her with curious and worried filled eyes. Abby said she didn't know how she felt, and Cas didn't know how to feel about that. He was relieved she didn't say she was in pain though and took it as a good sign. It was probably normal that she was so exhausted. All that energy coursing through her veins now, her body needed time to adjust. He looked at her face when she asked if anything was wrong and slowly nodded. "Yes there is" he replied , moving a strand of hair from here face. "You never gave me an answer to what I asked you". He smiled softly, knowing that her cheeks would soon change colors once she realized what he was referring to. Even if just for an hour or two, he wanted to be able to call Abigail his. If she accepted, he would be able to die happily.

Image

Leon watched as Roman opened the cage and released his hands. Leon stood, a little dumbfounded, for several seconds. Even more so when Roman outstretched his wings. The sight of them made him sad somehow, and happy at the same time. He couldn't decided how to feel about it at the moment, but right then it didn't really matter. All that mattered was getting out alive. "Actually, put your wings away. We'll need to fit through a small space" Leon explained. Once Roman had tucked his wings back in Leon took his hand and began running towards the back of the facility. He had guarded this place more than he could count, he knew every inch and every crack of the facility, including some that even the council was unaware of. There were two emergency exits. One was very visible, the other was hidden, and that's where Leon was headed. He knew it'd be locked, between his strength and Roman's they'd be able to break through it no problem. What would be a problem was leaving the place without being seen from the outside.

Abigail was starting to get the feeling back in her body. It was a warm comforting feeling. And she wasn't as tired as she was a moment a go. But she does know that she is going to have to rest. Just to get adjusted to whatever was going on. The bright side was that she doesn't feel sick and that Cas is with her. Speaking of being with Cas he expecting an answer to something. At first Abby was a tad bit confused, but then she quickly realized what he was talking about. Her face resembled a tomato even though she couldn't really feel it. But she knew that she was turning red because Cas always makes her turn red. It's what he does. Abigail of course had an answer. "I-It's a yes. I would love to be your girlfriend. And go on tons of dates." She said. Abigail couldn't believe that she managed to say most of that without stuttering. Progress was happening. And speaking of progress, she was regaining the feeling in her body. She could tell that her face was still red. It wasn't going back to its normal color anytime soon.

Roman folded his wings into his back and waited for Leon. They were going somewhere that didn't require the need to fly. And his wings were too big to fit in the space they needed to hide in. Roman was trying to think of how not to be seen from outside of the cell. He could always say that Leon needed to be relocated. Walking back into the cage, he picked up the handcuffs. "I'm putting these back on you." Without another thought, Roman handcuffed Leon's hands behind his back. "They will think I am relocating you." He gently took his arm and guided him out of the prison. "Gently push left and right for me to turn." It was so that Leon guided the way without making it look like Leon was guiding.

Castiel waited patiently and the smile on his face was beyond impossible to contain when she replied with a yes. "And no go on tons of dates". Castiel's smile faltered for the tiniest second. Yes, that's what he'd love to do. He'd love to walk out of her, hand in hand with his Abby, talk to his father and the council and be allowed to live, even if just a little longer, with her. But that wasn't going to happen. Castiel knew it was pointless to even try, but he didn't dwell on it. He had nothing but a few short hours with Abby and he wasn't going to waist it thinking about things that won't ever happen. "You made me nervous for a moment there" he joked. Despite having emotions now, getting nervous was still about impossible for Castiel. He knew Abigail would say yes. Not because he was overconfident, though he was confident in himself, but because he could tell he and Abby belonged together. He ran his thumbs over the tops of her hands and looked at her. "Are you still feeling numb?". He hoped she'd say yes, only because it would allow him to stay with her a little longer.

Image

Leon began to head toward the back exit but Roman stopped him. Leon watched in confusion as Ro walled back to the cell, picked up the handcuffs and came back and put them on. "They will think I am relocating you." the bigger male explained before Leon had any room to panic. He only nodded in agreement and began to walk. They walked out of the facility easily. Leon stumbled slightly, making it look like Roman was pushing him towards his death, and even attempted to "struggle" in the direction that Roman should be turned. After several fake struggles and curse words they made it to a deserted place. "We need somewhere from where we can fly off unseen" Leon explained quietly, knowing exactly where to go from there. He was nervous, terrified and about fifty percent sure that they would be caught, but Roman was with him. Even though he didn't remember a thing, he still chose to be with him. That had to be worth something.

Abigail was happy that Casteel was happy. She was someone's girlfriend. Not just anyone. Mr. Perfect. Her face was not changing back anytime soon. The smile practically glued onto her face. There was some silence between them. It was just to marvel in what they had. Abby squeeze his hand gently. Even though he seemed okay, for some reason she felt like something else was wrong. He never did explain why she was in here. Or why she no longer felt sick. All he said was that she was safe. But she was starting to think that there was more to this. Cas asked about her numbing feeling. Abby thought for a moment. She could feel her clearly heated cheeks. It meant that she was starting to feel again. She could definitely feel the warmth from Cas' hand holding her own. "The feeling is fading." Abby shifted a tad. The table she was lying on was uncomfortable. She managed to turn so that she had a better look at Cas. "Cas?" For a brief moment she looked down, but then gained the confidence to look into his piercing blue eyes. "I-I know you said I was safe, b-but I really want to know where I am and what happened to me." Abby only remembers what happened at the cafe. Cas was going to take her on a date, but then everything went black.

Image

Roman managed to keep a straight, apathetic look on his face. He scowled sometimes when Leon would "struggle". It was just to make sure the angels realized that he was doing work for the council. No one stopped them. Or questioned them. They were practically home free. But now they needed to fly off. They got to a rather abandoned place. Quickly looking around he undid the handcuffs, but he pocketed them. Roman never knows when he would need it again. "We can just fly from here." No one was looking for him and the facility was practically abandoned from here. It should be fine, but he wasn't going to spread his wings until Leon gave the go ahead. The last thing they needed was attention drawn to them. Roman believed that they could get away without getting caught. But he also believed their were high chances that they would be killed where they stood. He was going on purely his love for Leon. Anything else wouldn't have been worth death.

Castiel was more than relieved to hear that Abigail was recovering. However, there still seemed to be something bothering her. His suspicions were proven not too long after when she asked where she was. Maybe it was time. Time to tell her the whole truth. She would be part of the council soon. She weed to know. "You're on Eden" he said, not knowing where else to start. "You were infected with the angel disease…twice. This time I couldn't cure you on my own". He pause, planning out his next words. "Cordelia, Leon, my father and I aren't doctors…or human for that matter". He knew this all sounded crazy to her, but she would have proof soon enough. The problem now was what to say next. As he contemplated his next words, the doors opened and closed and a blue winged angel walked up to Cas. "Sir, your father would like to know how much longer you will be in here. He says there is an angel he needs to go take care of". Cas furrowed his brows in silence. That must be Cordelia. If she was caught then Abby's brother was probably already converted. "Tell him I'll be out soon…" this wasn't necessarily true, it was just to get the man to shut up. "And then go to the lab and bring me the new angel. Tell them I need to talk to him. If any of the other gods try to stop you, tell them to come deal with me. Got it?". The angel nodded and without another word, he turned and walked out the door to carry out the mission given to him.

Leon took a minute to breathe. He was nervous, no…terrified. He knew there was a chance they could be shot on the spot, but if not now then never. Leon gave Roman a quick nod and quickly extended his long white wings. He stretched them a bit. They were numb after being cooped up for so long. "Follow me" he said quietly before taking off, knowing that Roman was more than capable of keeping up now. Somehow, they made it out of the city without getting hurt. Leon's heart was still pounding, and the longer they flew the faster he got. He would look back occasionally to check on Roman. Despite being some type of super angel, this was Roman's first day. Most likely his first time taking flight. New angels always had trouble getting a hang of flying, no matter how strong they were. Not to mention that Leon was one of the fastest, along with Cordelia. One of the many reasons they were chosen as leaders. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Leon could see the tall mountains ahead.

Abigail was to say the least, confused. If there was a stronger word to explain her feeling, she would use it. But all she has is confused. First Casteel was saying she was on Eden. Eden was the island for the deadly angel disease. Then he told her she was infected with that same deadly disease twice. Abigail hasn't ever heard of anyone getting this disease more than once. Within a small time frame. She thought she had questions, but she didn't even know where to start. To add on to the perplexing thoughts, Cas just explained that he, Leon, Cordelia, and his father weren't human. Abby's face was no longer red. Just a tad pale. She was just trying to figure this whole think out, but it was giving her a headache. To be honest it didn't truly phase her when Cas said he wasn't human. Mr. Perfect couldn't be human. He was physically and mentally flawless. He had an aura that clearly attracted the attention of everyone. But Cordelia, Leon and his father was news to her. Abby opened her mouth to ask more questions, but she closed it when an angel like figure walked in.

His wings were a florescent blue and Abby really wanted stroked the feathers. There seemed to be an endless supply of them tucked in the wings. Almost as smooth looking as raven wings. If the brunette didn't believe Cas before about not being human she believed him now. Abby was curious to know who the new angel was and why his father needed Casteel. But those things felt like questions way above her need to know basis. Abby then thought about everything Mr. Perfect had just told her. What she wanted to know is what all this had to do with her. She was cured. Which meant she could go home to her brother. "Okay. So my boyfriend is non human. And I was sick. But what now?"

Image

Roman was glad that made it out of the facility. Now they needed to disappear quickly before someone caught them. Leon said to follow him and then he took off. Roman spread his wings and surely followed. He was fairly new to flying and he had to flap his wings a couple of times. But he eventually caught on when he let the wind catch under his wings. Leon kept looking at him to make sure that he was keeping up. Roman was a bit offended that he thought Leon would be lagging, but he understood. They only flew faster the more they were in the air. If they weren't running away, Roman would have completely enjoyed himself. Flying around in the air and being one with the earth was quite liberating. Soon they were nearing these mountains. They were quite beautiful. Roman has never seen mountains like that. Or if he has, he doesn't really remember. There was a cave coming up that Leon was leading them too. They must be hiding in there. As they neared the entrance, Roman was thinking about his landing. Getting up was one thing, but getting back down was a whole new ball game. He was going to ask Leon how to land, but he would figure it out.

The angel left and Cas was left to explain what had just happened. As he attempted to think of a way to start, Abigail spoke up. He thought for a moment then looked at her. "Now…you're like me" he explained, trying to make it sound as simple as possible. "Curing someone twice takes enormous power, which is why your body was numb. It's adjusting". He could tell by the glow of her skin that her body was liking the new and unfamiliar energy. Cas was relieved to say the least. "Once it fully adjusts you'll become a full fledged god, just like my father and I". His voice was low and he spoke slowly. He couldn't imagine how difficult and confusing this must have been for her. He was making it his mission to explain it as simply as possible. "And your brother was turned into an angel, like the one that just left" he finished explaining and finally made eye contact with Abby, fully expecting a perplexed or even terrified look in return. "I'm sorry I hadn't told you sooner…it's…a bit complicated".

They were high above the island and the view was amazing. At one point, Leon slowed down. So that Roman could catch up which turned into Leon being left behind. He smiled a bit to himself, feeling a sense of pride. His first time flying and Roman was already as fast as he was. Leon easily matched speed with him again for a little while until they flew closer to the mountains and his speed began to decrease as well as his altitude. He thought about giving Roman some pointers on the landings, but with how quickly he had picked up on flying Leon didn't think he'd need them. He lowered himself and came to a soft stop just outside the cave and took a quick look around. It looked safe and empty, so this is where they would be staying for a while. Leon had left a message for Cas, hinting as to where they would be. They'd need his help if they had any hopes of recovering Roman's memories. Once he made sure the cave was clear he turned around and took a couple of steps forward to watch Roman as he attempted to land.

Abigail was completely focused on Mr. Perfect's words. "Once it fully adjusts you'll become a full fledged god, just like my father and I" That was when she tuned out. Her eyes grew wide. A God? A powerful heavenly being that people like her pray too when she needs help on a test. She had power? Lots of power. On top of that her boyfriend was a God! Everything made sense with him all of a sudden. He was perfect after all. But to hear that come out of his mouth was completely different. She tuned back in when she heard that her brother was turned into an angel. Abby didn't know how she felt about that. If Aidan looked fine and wasn't angry then she would be completely fine. But if Aidan was angered then so would Abby. But until then she was completely indifferent about that situation. What she was trying to process is that a God had wanted to day Abigail. A mere clumsy human girl. Wasn't even finished college and lived at home with her brother. Who also hasn't finished college. Of all the people in the world he had access too, he chose Abby. Out of everything she needed to process that was the one thing she was having a hard time with. Cas was looking at her expecting a certain reaction. But Abby just stared at him. Admiring his perfect features like she always does. "I-I'm dating a god?" She said, her face turning a bit pink. "Th-that actually explains some things." Like his flawless face.

Leon landed in the cave before Roman did. Roman slowed down a bit trying to think about how hew as going to land. But all his thoughts went into just crashing the nearest wall. It would hurt a little, but he would be fine. Then he was thinking about how Leon would feel watching this brand new angel crash into a rock wall at 80 plus miles per hour. Roman let the wind catch his wings yet again and he decided that his feet would be landing gears. As he came into the cave, his feet hit the cave floor rather hard. He ended up taking a flew clumsy steps before tumbling over his feet. He unfortunately had something cute and cuddly to land on. Roman wasn't sure how Leon felt being a landing pad though. He folded his wings into his back and looked down at Leon, with a smirk. "Well I can clearly see why we were lovers." He liked Leon in this position. Lingering there for a few moments, he rolled off of Leon and stood up.

Cas waited silently and then Abby spoke, seemingly shocked about the part of him being a god. Cas looked at her in astonishment for a moment and started chuckling. Out of everything he told her, that's what she was surprised by? He couldn't stop laughing once he started, but eventually he quieted down. "You are amazing you know that?" he half chuckled again. She mentioned something about how everything made sense now and Cas looked at her in a bit of confusion. He didn't know what exactly hadn't made sense to her before, when he was pretending to be human. "What didn't make sense before?" he asked curiously. As she attempted to explain, the doors opened yet again and the angel from before stepped in, followed by a familiar face.

Aidan looked around a little terrified, but mostly confused. Where had this winged creature brought him? And who was this creature, and since when did Aidan have wings. Hundreds of questions were running through his mind as he scanned the room and his defensive side immediately kicked him. "Abby! Are you alright?" he questioned worriedly, giving Cas an odd look. He did remember Abigail was sick, and Cas had cured her once before. Also the room they were in kind of resembled a hospital room, so there was no reason for him to be suspicious of Castiel, but he couldn't help it. He was worried about her and had completely forgotten about his own situation.

Image

Leon watched everything as if it were happening in slow motion. Roman attempted to land, taking a few rough steps and then all of a sudden everything began moving faster and before he knew it he was been throw to the floor and the Roman was on top of him. "Oof!" Leon looked up at him with large eyes just as the other made a comment about being lovers. It made him a little happy, but at the same time it reminded him of what they didn't have now. "So clumsy" he teased out of habit as Roman rolled off of him. Despite not remember, it was as if nothing had changed. The chemistry was still there. Leon didn't know how he'd deal with that. Just looking at the man made him want to crawl into his lap and do things he didn't dare to say out loud, but Roman would no doubt be weirded out. A feeling alone wasn't enough, he needed his memories. But perhaps, that's what would help them come back. If he could just remember how it felt. No, no, Leon focus! . He ran a hand through his own hair and sat cross legged on the ground.

Abigail didn't know how to take the laughter. It must have been a good thing. He doesn't laugh very often. At least around her he doesn't. "You are amazing you know that?" The light shape of pink turned into a deep red. Even while being sweet he made her face turn colors. Will they ever be able to have a conversation that leaves her cheeks a healthy peach color. Cas asked to explain what she meant by her comment. The brunette raised an eyebrow. He truly didn't know. Before Abby could explain that he was perfect another angel walked in. For a moment Abby examined the creature and quickly recognized him as her brother. Aidan was an angel. Seeing him with wings made him look like a completely different person. She didn't know what to do. "Abby! Are you alright?" His voice made him seem less foreign. "I'm fine." She pushed herself in the seating position. She winced a bit. Her body was still getting used to whatever Cas did to her, but it was much better than the first time. "Are you alright?" Then she raised an eyebrow. Another brunette was with him last time she checked. "Where is Cordelia?"

Image

Roman chuckled a bit as he shifted on his bum. Leon seemed to be recovering from the crash. Roman was quite the heavy fellow. For a moment they just looked at each other. Roman really wanted to remember things. Especially about Roman. That was really all that mattered. To share the memories that Leon was thinking about. It was clear he was thinking about them. He looked down at the ground and rubbed the back of his neck. Maybe hearing about it will help. "How did we meet, Leon?" Roman was more than ready for story time.

Abby and her brother started a conversation as soon as Aidan stepped in the room, and Cas just sat back and let them talk. He wasn't the only man in Abigail's life no matter how much he wanted to be. He dismissed the angel and turned back to the siblings, just as Abby asked where Cordelia was. By his reaction, Aidan didn't seem to know either. It looked like it was up to Cas to break the news. "She's in jail" he said plainly, earning a concerned loom from the other male. "Last time she was here she fought two important council members and they arrested her. I broke her out, which is why she went back to your apartment" he was explaining things a little less slowly this time, simply because he was afraid that if he slowed down Aidan would attempt to protest or ask questions. "She came back to bring you so you could be cured" he said this as he gestured towards Aidan who immediately frowned. "That's why you're alive and she was captured and thrown in jail again." he decided to leave out the worst part. They didn't need to know that. Or rather, he wouldn't let that happen.

Image

Leon watched Roman for a bit then looked at the ground only to look up again when Roman asked how they met. How did they meet? It was such a simple question and yet Leon seemed to be chocked up by it. "I was sent to find someone….went to the wrong address, ended up at your house instead. The person i was looking for was your neigh or who was at work, so you convinced he to stay and wait for her with you. You flirted the entire time" he explained, picturing everything in his mind and almost laughing. The second Leon layed eyes on Roman, he should have known he had already lost. He should have left that day, waited for Martha somewhere else. If it wasn't for him, Roman would be leading a normal life. "I'm sorry…" he muttered, staring at the ground again. "It's all my fault…it's my fault you're in this mess…".
