Full Name: Tallulah Katherine Allen
Nicknames: Lulu, Lucky Lu, Fortuna - if she's running around anonymously.
Age: Nineteen and very happy to be nearly done with school.
Birthdate: February 21st
Home Town: Born and raised in a small town called Clinton, Washington - a small town of 984 people.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
School: Noctrem Academy on her parents insistence.

Power: Luck Manipulation - by definition: The user can cause random unlikely events to occur more often, and liable events to not happen; can endow good or bad fortune, such as breaking something actually causes bad luck, or carrying around a "lucky charm" actually causes good luck. In Lulu's case, she's capable of manipulating her own luck, whether it's getting a dice to roll on the right number or to have the right cards come up in a game to her favor. She can also manipulate the luck of others, either providing them with good fortune or repeated bad luck. She can make a person more likely to slip, for example, or to befall misfortune. When she's angry or caught in the moment, her emotions can make her powers stronger. She is limited to usage, of course. Her bad luck inflictions can last for the entirety of a day however she gets the equivalent of a hangover from such extended use - a migraine and nausea largely. She also can only manipulate one type of luck - good or bad - at a time but she can affect up to three people if she's focused and not tired. Prior to Noctrem burning down, Lulu was working on endowing objects with bad or good luck to limited success.

Fears: As a child she feared her parents disapproval, something she quickly earned and now could care less about. What Lulu truly fears is suffocation, as her brother decided it would be funny to try and smother her with a balloon as a child. She fears truly harming someone or killing someone. She doesn't like to make people suffer when she has herself so much. She's empathetic that way and the fact that she was linked to her brother's death haunts her conscience still.

Personality: Lulu is outwardly confident and independent. When speaking she can be especially bold and blunt. She's not afraid to speak her mind and can be quite sassy as a result. She is smart mouthed, as her mother calls her, and isn't afraid to toss in a witty reply to someone's snarky remarks. That said, she chooses her words selectively in that she's not the most verbose individual. Lulu is far more of a listener than a chatterbox. She is extremely selective of those she confides in. Despite her prowess with her powers and quick wit, Lulu is inwardly self conscious of how she appears to others - not in a vain physical way, but a focus on what her aura and personality exudes. Lulu is far from the bully. Having suffered at the hands of her older, and much stronger, brother for a decade before moving away from him, she would rather use her powers to make others happy, to give them a smile on a bad day or to help someone dealt a shit hand in life. She is giving and can easily find herself in the role of a protector for those weaker and younger than her. She is charming when she wants to be as well but would much rather a date by the fire than a night out on the town. She's introverted when left on her own, much preferring to read and listen to soft musics than to drink excessively. That said, when she's miserable (and she can be) Lulu can easily binge.

History: Lulu was the second child born to Richard and Priscilla Allen, arriving on a cold February 21st. She was a fussy baby from the start. While her parents were enthralled with her energy, her older brother Grayson who was five at the time was not. Gray was miserable when his mother began doting on his sister. He quickly became an angry child, far more frustrated with Lulu's crying at night than their parents. Richard and Priscilla were both individuals with powers and they hailed from a long line of individuals who had long history of impacting people's lives - negatively. Her parents were dark individuals and they had raised their son to be as well. They disliked 'mortals' without powers and felt entitled because of their 'gifts.' Priscilla was especially haughty, having spent her son's formative years explaining to him that he was better than any human. When Lulu arrived, little Gray hated her immediately. She was a squirming noisy baby with no gifts that they could see. Shortly after her birth Gray developed his powers, far different than his mother's telepathy or his father's psychometry. Gray became physically stronger, and capable of inflicting a psionic blast on anyone of his choosing. Immediately his parents and Lulu became his targets, though fortunately Priscilla was able to control Gray.

As Lulu grew, she came to recognize her brother's dark hatred for her. As she began to walk and talk he was always there to push her down and call her names. Gray was her personal bully. As she grew, she found herself without any line of defense or ability to fight back from her brother. She could call on her parents, or show her father the bruises, but Priscilla and Richard grew to look down on her. They didn't want a weak child and Gray was their little star, so strong for his age and charming to those he went to school with. It wasn't until Priscilla was eleven that her brother brought her powers out. It was Gray's 16th birthday and he was having an extraordinary party. He was seated at he high table, his girlfriend and best friends at his side, facing his cake. She wished desperately that he would trip into the two tiered chocolate mass and low and behold, he did. It continued. She would make him have bad luck with girls, bad timing, bad luck on tests in school or with their parents. Soon enough, few people found him charming. He was suddenly uncoordinated and unable to get what he wanted. Within a year he figured out that Lulu was capable of manipulating his chances and he tried to kill her for it.

It was Lulu's 12th birthday, a small family fathering. Priscilla and Richard had only spoiled Gray and she hid her powers from them. They were ashamed to think they had born a mortal daughter and as a result she was given few extra spoils. Regardless, Lulu had decorated for her birthday, made herself a cake and moved to celebrate her final year before entering teenagerhood. Then Gray showed up and pinned her to the wall in a choke hold while her parents were out getting groceries for dinner. Lulu can remember fighting for air and worse when he pulled one of her pink balloons off the wall and shoved it over her mouth. The latex popped and as she gasped for air Lulu inhaled a remnant. When it caught in her throat she was completely unable to breath as the synthetic rubber inflated and deflated with her attempted breath. When her parents arrived she was nearly blue, but she managed to force herself to throw up, saving herself and leaving her parents to witness the sadistic lengths their son would go to hurt his sibling. Lulu stood up and fought back however, doing something she was only capable of doing once in her life - she cursed him. For decades he had tortured her, gone to every length that he could to terrorize her. Over time her own anguish had built up and all at once it fueled her powers. She screamed at him, bearing down on him as best she could. The air in the room seemed to shift and Gray shrank back. Weeks later he was paint balling in the brush with friends when a mountain lion attacked them. Gray had the misfortune of landing in the wildcat's path and he was crudely murdered after nearly two weeks of close to everything going wrong for him.

Lulu's parents quickly caught onto their daughter's strengths and her father was thrilled. Instead of celebrating her, however, Richard promptly took his daughter to Vegas in order to win some quick money with her help. It became an annual trip quite quickly. They loved her powers, if only for what they could give them. If Lulu even thought twice about helping her parents, however, her mother would know. She was caught in their hands until she asked to hone her powers as they had. At 13 she was sent to Noctrem Academy, despite her intent desires on going elsewhere.

The academy was hard on her, pushing her parents' values further upon her. Lulu never acknowledged the idea that she was better than any mortal, having been treated as one by Gray for most of her life. She much preferred her lessons and private sessions with professors who pushed her to excel. With time she grew excellent at manipulating chance but with it came years of punishing values. She wanted to help people and she came to loath the school for it's core ideals with time. When the school burnt down, she knew it was her lucky day.

Anything else? N/A for now.

So begins...

It was again, so easy to talk to him. And this time he didn’t get that glazed over look in his eyes as he listened. Lulu couldn’t help but appreciate that. Even Jack had looked a little out of the moment earlier. And Drake
well, he’d made her so consumed in what he was making her feel but she knew that he had been paying attention to her body and how she spoke, not so much what she was saying.

“You deserve better,” Jay told her firmly as she concluded, shrugging off her feelings outwardly while her mind remained pre-occupied. “I've never been told that before,” she admitted, moving to run a hand through her hair only for Jay to lean in and, like Drake had so many times before, tuck the loose strands behind her ear. They never stayed. She just needed something to do with her hands and with him taking away her habitual method of doing so, her arms flopped and her hands fell into her lap where her fingers knit into themselves.

For a second she found herself only inches away from him and Lulu couldn’t help but stare straight into his eyes. She had to admit, his face was like a glorified and rugged male model. His chin was defined, as were his cheek bones. Both were covered with just the right amount of stubble, reminiscent of storybook five o’clock shadow. He was captivated and bright. When she looked into him with earnest eyes, she couldn’t help but wonder if he was searching for something in her in return.

Then he broke their stare and as he shifted back towards her desk she cleared her throat and ran her hands over her arms. Goose flesh had risen on her skin and she felt what could only be described as a hot flash rush through her. He seemed to look into her and see her there, instead of through her. She almost believed him when he said she deserved better but the mental image of her brother remained in thought, fresh from the nightmare and looming over her shoulder.

“I should probably go,” Jay announced. The words made her bring her knees back up to her chest. All she could do was nod, even though the idea of being alone again was less than gratifying. She shifted to the other side of her bed, scrambling to collect her cell phone when suddenly the door to their suite creaked before suddenly coming straight off the hinges. It flew across the room before it crashed into the slice of wall that separated Lulu’s bed from Alli’s. She winced, bringing an arm to shield her face from splinters. She was immediately tense and shifting to sit on her knees. Only one person could do such things to a door.

“Want to know what makes girls want Drake like that, huh?” Cor hissed. Lulu glared back at her enemy, her shoulders tensing with the realization that Drake’s sister had been eavesdropping. Arcana’s walls weren’t near as strong as Noctrem’s she then realized, a sad fact. “I can tell you in one word; foolishness.”

Lulu’s eyes darted between the blond and Jay, who appeared to be the source of her anger. She’d just caught her man in a room with another girl. Ordinarily Lulu would say that she had a right to be suspicious. But this was Corentine and Jay had just told her of how much Cor was cheating on him with other men, fucking the brains out of whoever landed in her bed – and later clawed their way out of. As she stepped into the room, Lulu shifted back along the bed until her back was flush with the headboard and behind it the wall.

“You see, to Drake, all these girls are playthings, and they’re never going to be more. They are downright stupid for wishing more from him. Pathetic. They are only going to end up hurt,” she continued. Lulu wondered if Cor was speaking of herself in relation to Jay in that moment. “As for you, what the fuck are you even doing here? Looking for another replacement, huh? In Lulu? That’s nice, Jay. Go fuck yourself,” she said, sneering. Lulu snorted at Cor’s expression. Her nose twisted and her lips spat the words out at her would be boyfriend. It was such an ugly face on her that she couldn’t, all things considered, take her seriously. She was pent up and bitchy – likely horny – and realizing then that she probably wouldn’t get laid by the man she really wanted for awhile, or even be able to relax period. And that was just too funny. Her humor was short lived however.

“Are you sure you described your brother, or your fucking self? I’d gladly go fuck myself-” Jay countered, his voice incredibly harsh. It had a full quality to it as he yelled and it shook her a little. He was angry and he meant his words. That made her happy, to see him stand up to her for what he wanted. But their exchange ended as Lulu drew Cor’s attention in and the blond sauntered across the bedroom as if it were her own. As she drew up to the beside, Lulu shifted across it, leaning towards Jay as Cor leaned over her, his lips pulling into what only could be described as a joker smile. She takes pleasure from this, so don’t give her what she wants or needs, Lulu reminded herself, her smile dropping and her face returning to a steely glare.

“You’re just like all the others, you know. No, you’re less. All Drake wants from you is a fuck or two, and then he’s going to tell everyone how awfully awkward you are - how much he would rather be fucking Erin,” she said matter of factly. Lulu swallowed, licking her lips but finding no room to reply before she continued. “You’re pathetic. Not even worth my brother’s consideration. Although, I suppose he does have a thing for playing around with his fangirls.”

Cor leaned in then to which Lulu closed her eyes and tried to stem the aversion she felt to Cor’s presence and how disgusted she felt to have the blond leaning into her ear to whisper. “He’s going to use you up, and leave you broken, bitch.”

When Lulu opened her eyes she found herself blocked by a solid copy of Jaysin. Her nostrils flared and she flexed her hands which had become solid fists, again clenched so white that the skin on her knuckles was taught and her nails had dug into her palms to the point of cutting herself. Before she could even reply, Jay intervened.

“Leave her alone, Cor. Your issue is obviously with me, but honestly I don’t give a flying fuck if you have a problem with me,” he demanded. He stepped off the desk chair and became one again, though he still moved between Cor and Lulu. She found herself left with staring at his chiseled back, running a hand through her hair to grab a fistful of it between her fingers and clenched her teeth in frustration.

“You obviously are having the grandest fucking time in the world fucking all these other guys. I have tried over and over again to get you to trust me, but you never will. You just assume I am in here fucking her. You just assume that I am trying to constantly do other people because you must be fucking guilty for the situation you’ve put me in. Go fuck myself? I’d rather fuck many different people,” he countered her, throwing her own words back at her and accepting her seemingly well thrown out comment. Lulu wanted to roll her eyes so desperately in that moment. She felt like she was caught in a bad episode of a reality TV show, like Jersey Shore or something.

“You’re angry at him for being fed up with you sleeping with other guys?” she said with her eyes narrowed, shaking her head and looking at Cor as Jay walked diligently out of her room. “You are one fucked up broad.”

She swallowed her distaste for the situation and her desperate need to punch the woman who glared down at her. Lulu didn’t fear what she saw. She’d spent her entire life underneath those scorning eyes, whether it was Cor or her brother tormenting her.

“Come along, please?” Jay asked. Lulu looked out at Jay and saw him extend his hand to her. A smirk pulled at his lips and Lulu looked back at Cor, seeing her tension and feeling her anger. “Game on, love. Game on,” Jay told his girlfriend. Or ex. Or kind of? Lulu wasn’t sure what to think of them.

Part of her so desperately wanted to leave. She wanted to stand up, take his hand, and look at her with a satisfied stare that her boyfriend was taking her – possibly the one girl that Cor hated most in this world. But she knew that Cor wouldn’t let her move an inch from the bed, not without experiencing serious harm. Not without paying for it. And that was what frustrated her. The anger returned then. Utter disgust for her and what she made her do. She loathed that this girl was making her do something that she didn’t want to do and that was stay put.

“You need to get out,” she snarled, looking at Cor with utter vehemence before she leveled her sharp stare with the man in her doorway. “Take the trash with you Jay or I swear to God I will have misfortune kill this skank, even if it means dying myself.”

When Jay smirked at her, Cor found herself hating him more than anything. He was her goddamned kryptonite, and it pissed her off. He knew she wasn’t going to fling him around like she would most people who took a tone with her. No, with Jay it excited her. She loved how he’d stand up to her crap – how he’d give her challenge. But right now it was seriously pissing her off, so instead of replying to his words, she aimed her sharp tongue at Lulu. She wasn’t really all that pissed off with the other blonde, but there was no way in hell she was going to build anything with Cor’s man. Not a friendship, not even a sort of familiarity. Nothing. She would kill her first. So far, Cor had been surprisingly gentle with Lulu. Most likely because she, to some extent, respected her brother enough not to kill off the only girl he’d actually cared about in the last 4 years. In fact, Cor recognized that Lulu might be good for him. She’d ruin things for Erin, but something would be worked out. It was a difficult situation though, because she felt like she was supposed to choose between her best friend, and her brother.

Then, as she leaned in a whispered to Lulu, she only just finished before she felt Jay’s hand on her arm. No, not Jay; a Jay-clone. Cor could easily tell the difference. There was just another air to the clones; they were mindless puppets more or less, and Jay definitely wasn’t. Maybe that was it. All she knew was that it only took one touch, or one word, for her to know it wasn’t the real deal. She froze in surprise when he actually physically forced her to take a step back, and so, much like a robot, Cor let him. Only when she heard Jay’s voice, did she snap out of it, frowning. She turned her head to look at him, reeling. He was actually defending Lulu? Well that was a whole new level of fucked up, it really was. What the hell was going on with him? Jay never defended others against her. Not even his girlfriend, Kate. In fact, he was usually trying to hide a little smirk when Cor bitched at the Arcana bitch. Her teeth clenched together then, as he moved to absorb his clone, bringing his body between her and Lulu. What. The. Fuck?

He wasn’t acting like himself. He just wasn’t. And it was a huge turn-off. In fact, it enabled her to reach a whole new level of pissed off with him. She narrowed her eyes when he spoke, knowing that he thought he was speaking the truth, because she hadn’t told him how she hadn’t fucked another guy in weeks. How it just didn’t feel right anymore. How he was all she could think about anymore. Her anger was truly rising now, and she could feel her grasp on her powers slipping. Soon, this whole room would look like a fucking war zone, and she couldn’t even stop it. Right now, she didn’t even fucking care. She tore her arm out of Jay’s grip, glaring at him. She wasn’t even sure what to say. She had wanted to talk to him today, had wanted to explain herself one last time, and to tell him that he was the only one she wanted. But now? Well, now he’d seriously hurt her, he’d pissed her off, but most of all
he had just another’s side against her. He didn’t do that. Well, not when the person was in the room. Sure, he could yell at her in private, but this was just too much. And he had obviously told Lulu more than he should have. Fucking asshole.

She took a deep breath, her hands fisting, unfisting and then fisting again, as she tried to get her powers under control. So she wasn’t even focusing on replying to Jay – partly because she still wasn’t sure what she wanted to tell him. All she knew right now, was that she wanted to hurt him as much as he had hurt her today. Then suddenly he was moving away from her, and Cor didn’t even want to stop him. For once, she was going to let him walk away. And she was still fighting her own anger, when Lulu spoke, her annoying voice cutting through the haze. Cor’s cold, blue eyes landed on the girl, narrowed. “People who don’t have a clue what the fuck they’re talking about, should shut the hell up before they end up dead.” She said, her voice smooth and cold. It was a voice that promised death to anyone who dared piss her off any more than she already was. Especially if they happened to be named Lulu Allen. That was all Cor felt like replying. She didn’t need to explain herself to that little bitch. She was meddling in stuff she had no business butting into.

Just as Cor was about to leave herself, Jaysin’s voice rang out and she spun around in a flash, eyes blazing. He was smirking, his hand and words intended for Lulu of all people. Cor felt her heart leap, pain shooting through her like poison through her veins. She shut her mouth, looking Jay over. She’d had it. He’d pushed her to her fucked limit, and she’d had it. She was about to tell him so, when Lulu once more opened her freaking mouth, making Cor’s hands fist once more. Lulu’s life was hanging on a thread, and she thought to issue threats? A cold, angry smile pulled at Cor’s lips. Well, that was right until she looked up at Jay again. Not speaking a word to Lulu, she walked right up to the only man she’d ever loved and pushed him out of the room, eyes blaring still. “That is it, Jay! I have fucking had it with you! You and your holier than thou crap. You know what you are?! You’re a fucking hypocrite! I remind you again
you left. You made me who I am today. You broke me. Okay?! It’s your own fault I can’t fucking commit to you, because you can’t show me that you’re fucking worth it.”

She took a deep breath before continued, shoving him into the wall. “I mean, fucking hell, you still have a fucking girlfriend! Me? I haven’t been with another guy in weeks, but you assume that I have. You want to talk about anyone assuming stuff, look in the fucking mirror, you dumb fucking asshole. You look at other girls all the fucking time, and it’s not only lust, is it? No. You have pieces of your heart everywhere, given to whatever girl you find remotely attractive. Hell, even dimples in there is good enough. As long as it pisses me off, huh? Well, guess what. You can stop the acting, you can shove your dick into whatever pussy you fucking feel like, because we are done. You get that?! Fucking done!” With that, Cor felt oddly relieved. She’d let out everything. Told him everything. She removed her hands and began walking off, her heels clicking in her wake. Just then, she felt her cell vibrate and brought it up. Apparently Sky wanted her company. She turned around, holding up her phone as she shouted angrily to Jay, “oh, looks like Sky wants to fuck. I think we’ll be a while, so don’t bother coming in!” She whirled around again and sped up her pace, now heading for Jay and Sky’s room. To hell with Jay. She was going to fuck every other fucking guy in this fucking building.

As she did, Cor sent a reply back to Sky..
Grand timing. Heading your way right now.

Jaysin Dennis

Jay had felt his anger turn out of control until he realized that Lulu hadn’t taken his hand. He looked at the girl in confusion as her words seemed to be aimed at both himself and Cor. ”You need to get out. Take the trash with you Jay or I swear to God I will have misfortune kill this skank, even if it means dying myself.” He felt his whole body relax as he realized that Lulu didn’t care whether or not he was leaving with or without Cor. She just wanted him gone, and it hurt more than anything for the girl that he opened up to asking him to leave the room with the very person she knew was bad for him. He shook his head at the girl out of respect, turning to face Cor when her hands were shoving him out of the room. “Bye.” He mouthed to Lulu as he found himself alone with Cor in the hall.

Jay’s face showed the disappoint that Cor had so often brought into his life. He just shook his head as he thought of the words to say to her, but before he could she was already yelling at him again. Fucking done!” He just shook his head in the disappoint Cor was bringing into his life. “I haven’t been with Kate in weeks. I don’t even know if she goes here anymore. Oh wait, she doesn’t. She left because I broke her heart, Cor. I fucking ripped it to shreds for you! I don’t have pieces of my heart around campus. It has always belonged to you, Cor.” He thought that would get to her, but she was already halfway down the hallway until she turned back around.

Jay was already making his way to her when she held up her phone. ” Oh, looks like Sky wants to fuck. I think we’ll be a while, so don’t bother coming in!” He froze right where he was, letting the ache settle in his chest. “Have fun.” He turned his back to her, making his way out of the building. Right before hitting the exit, he turned to look at Cor. “You’re right. We are done.” He shook his head before pushing the door open, making his way outside. He didn’t know where to go at this point because since Cor had come back he had lost so many people in his life. He turned his back on the actually friends he had started to make at Arcana, so this was a whole new light he was now in. He was actually alone. He would definitely have to make an appearance at the party tonight to show Cor he meant what he said. If she wanted to have many fucks, he would find just one girl to be the best fuck he’d ever had.

Leo sighed as Katia spoke, mentioning their past to his new girlfriend. He didn't follow Amy out of his office after her snide comment about more P.E teachers, as he couldn't let on to the new teacher that there was more between the two of them than met the eye. "Come on in."

7:48 PM

It had been about three hours, that Leo had been in his office with Katia, going over her papers. Half way through their conversation, a drunken Max had stumbled in, and had been sleeping on the couch in the corner of his office until now. There was music coming from outside, the party obviously. He wasn't going to stop the party; he knew his students needed some sort of release every now and again, and he felt even better knowing that the party was being held by one of his own, Jackson Murphy. If the party had been held by one of the Noctrem students, he would have been a little more anxious about his students safety. But, Jackson had always been the one to hold the parties in the school, and he was sure that everything was going to be okay.

Going back to the situation at hand, Katia was all sorted; everything was signed and she was now a fully fledged member of the faculty. He didn't care about any of her past indiscretions; why should she? He wanted her as the dance teacher here as she was an amazing dancer, and she had an amazing personality, fantastic for teaching. "Everything's sorted, Kat." He spoke softly to the brunette woman, a smile on his face. "Welcome to Arcana." Leo was happy that he had been able to help her out, give her a job and a home. Max had left a while ago, sobered up and raring to go out, probably to the party. The male had asked Katia to watch out for him, to keep an eye on him the best that she could, and he knew that she would complete the job to her best ability.

Leo pulled his phone out of his pocket, remembering that he still needed to talk to his beloved, or at least find out where she was after she had stormed out of his office earlier. He quickly tapped in her number and pressed the phone to his ear, hoping and praying that she would pick up.

Drake had been cruel to her. Well, no. Cruel wasn't the word. He had been evil to her; evil in withholding her pleasure for that long, leaving her hanging until he decided to satisfy her properly. Erin loved being with Drake, but she also hated the way she practically turned to jelly around him. He was her kryptonite, the one male left in the entire school who was able to read her like an open book, and reduce her to the quivering female that she was around him. She was a normal girl around him; weak and submissive. She didn't like the way that Drake made her feel, but she couldn't help but want more of it. Her mind was a cesspool of crazy about him; everything Drake was messed up inside her mind. It was complicated for her, this relationship. More complicated than she wanted it to be.

"Have I ever told you, that you're just hot anyway?" Erin shot back at the male, a grin on her lips as she looked over at him. She couldn't stop herself from laughing when he mentioned about her being taken advantage off. "Baby, please. No-one could take advantage of me. And if you want me to get dressed, you better find my clothes then."

7:48 PM

Erin was still slightly shaky from her tryst with Drake in the woods earlier on that day. She had barely gotten over her intense workout with the handsome male, and it had taken her ten times longer to get ready for the party than it usually would have. It had been a while since things with Drake had been that extreme and intense, and she definitely wasn't complaining. She wondered if it was because of the strangely deep conversation that they had been having that had inspired their second and best time, but she wasn't going to dwell on it. In fact, she had decided not to think about Drake at all tonight. He was beginning to confused the blonde woman more and more, and she just didn't want to ruin what they had, despite her urges to do so.

The girl had quickly tapped back a response to her best friend when she had gotten back to her room, mentioning something like "I'll talk to you later, bad day." She was still a little pissed at the girl for not even realizing the loud argument that she had with Keirol, her ex, outside of the room, but she knew that it was stupid of her to feel that way; Cor was a selfish girl who's first priority was herself, but somehow Erin wanted more from her friend. She had again passed up the thoughts of the female Quellen as she got ready for the party, showering and dressing herself up in this.

Soon, she was downstairs, in the grounds. Erin was impressed, Jackson had done well with the decorations of the party, and it looked beautiful outside. The blonde made her way over to the gazebo which had been donned out in lights, and sat down on one of the arm chairs that had been placed out there. There was a glass of archers and lemonade in her hand, and she got herself comfortable. Now, to wait for a while.

Jackson had got everything sorted. After being pushed out of Jess and Morgan's room, and being told Jessica's drink order, the male had gotten back to what he had wanted to do in the first place - sorting out his party. He had gone down to see the Chef again, and this time actually spoken to her about sorting out some sort of buffet for the party; it was filled to the brim with nibbles and bits for everyone to enjoy - crackers and breads, meats of every kind, sausage rolls, salad... she had done well. There was a bar in the main hall, which had the doors completely open so that access was easy, filled with every drink that could be imagined, and a skilled bartender (a friend of his.) The entire grounds had been draped in fairylights and lights put into the grass. It looked beautiful, he had to admit, and he had put a lot of work into everything. The DJ had been set up at the end of the grounds and a dance floor had been set up there as well so that girls in their heels wouldn't moan. He really had thought of everything.

Jack could relax now, standing by the side of the dance floor, sipping a glass of Jack Daniels, wearing a pair of dark jeans and a white shirt, smart shoes on his feet. He wasn't sure who he was going to see first, Lulu, Amber, or maybe Jess, but he was ready to speak to all of them, and had Jess and Lu's drinks already ordered with the bartender, so he could just pick them up. He hadn't spoken to anyone else who had come down to the party yet, and he was just surveying; that was what Jackson usually did at parties - watched, until someone forced him to interact with them. He wasn't one for being a socialite, but he did like throwing parties like this. He thought about maybe searching for Esme, to one, find out what she thought about his party, and secondly, what she thought he could do to make the next one even better.

He took a sip of his drink, letting the liquid create a warm sensation in the pit of his stomach. It was nice, refreshing, something he knew and wasn't foreign to him.

7:48 PM

Max groaned as he rolled over in his bed, and fell onto the floor. The male had barely remembered coming back into his bedroom, after his little escapade in Leo's office. He remembered something about a new teacher being there, and Leo asking her to watch over him was a fuzzy memory in his mind, but that he wasn't sure of. He moaned as he sat up, the cold linoleum floor of his new teachers bedroom cooling down his warm body. He slowly made his way to a standing position, feeling a little woozy from his previous drinking. He didn't usually drink throughout the day, but with the new Noctrem students making their arrival into the school, emotions around the campus had been on an all time high, and had nearly drove the male insane. So, he had turned to the bottle of vodka in his bedroom.

The shower calmed down his aching body, the warm water trickling over his naked skin soothing him. It was one sure way to help him get over a hangover - a warm shower. By the time the handsome young male got out of the shower, he was feeling much better. The hangover headache was almost gone, but the array of emotions around the campus were beginning to get into his mind once more. He could feel a strong sense of anger coursing through him, someone was ready to murder someone close to where he was situated right now. It was over-powering him, and he didn't like it. Max could also feel some sadness coming from someone, someone else was a little scared, and there was someone around feeling rather horny. Mhm, strange mixture of emotions today. His problem was that he couldn't separate their feelings from his own; too many feelings were overpowering his own, and he hadn't been able to work out what he himself was feeling for the last few years.

Max couldn't stay up here with the angry person around, clouding up every one of his senses with rage. He dressed in a black shirt and jeans, the first couple of buttons undone, with converse covered feet. The male had decided to go down to the party; he couldn't turn down a good hootenanny like this, could he? Besides, he might even find someone down there to take his fancy. He didn't care if they were one of his regulars, like Cor, or Esme, or if it was someone that he just decided took his attention that night. There had to be someone there for him. Within moments, the dark haired male had pulled himself out of his bedroom, his shaggy hair falling over his eyes, un-styled, and made his way down to the grounds where the party was behind held. Max found himself sitting at the bar, ordering a straight vodka shot and a mixer of vodka and coke to go with it.

Hey, who could pass up free drinks, right? And apparently, the best way to fully get rid of a hangover? Drink more.

Corentine Quellen

Cor had managed to calm herself quite a bit during the last couple of hours, surprisingly. If she had to be honest, she had no clue how she had managed it, because she had been right there on the edge, about to blow. And then this entire place would most likely be rubbles with everyone buried underneath it right now. But nope, Cor had toned it down. Though
admittedly it had only gotten worse with Sky, because even though the guy used to turn her on so easily, it just hadn’t been working. Or, it had at first, her anger fueling it all, but then, her thoughts had started spinning, her silly mind flashing to Jay. Images of him smiling at her, memories of more loving banter they often shared, his captivating eyes drawing her in every time he looked at her in earnest and told her he loved her. And so, Cor had gotten distracted and upset. Resulting in her leaving a Sky she had gotten pretty riled up. Normally Cor wouldn’t give a shit about that, but it was Sky, and she did sorta feel guilty for leaving him in that situation. No one liked to be worked up and then be left alone. She sure as hell didn’t.

Fortunately she’d apologized to him before leaving, so she only hoped it wouldn’t be a further issue, because she sure as hell wasn’t explaining herself to him. She wasn’t telling anyone about the way Jay took up her heart, her mind and her entire world. Because though she and Sky had a pretty good thing going, Jay was a weakness and one wrong word in the wrong ear
well. Cor didn’t even want to think of what Amber would do with that information. Of course, Jay had obviously spilled the beans to Lulu, and someone else had probably heard the following, pretty loud exchanged. She’d be surprised if not, honestly. So the fact that they had had a thing was almost certainly out there for everyone to see. Nothing she could do about that. In fact, she could only snort at it, finding it a little entertaining. Back at Noctrem, when Jay had wanted to keep them a secret, Cor had not told a soul about them. Not one. Now, here at Arcana, when Cor wanted them kept a secret, he went and decided to tell the most annoying bitch in the freaking building. It’d at least be understandable if the two were actually friends or anything like that, but no. He had chosen Lulu purely piss her off. That much she knew.

So
she wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction. She’d told him the two of them were over; that she was done with him, and she’s meant it. Yep, no second thoughts. None at all. She was completely fine with never kissing him again
 never touching him again
never hearing his deep, sexy voice telling her how much he loved her again. She sighed to herself, looking into the mirror. She had locked herself in the bathroom, warning Ashy not to even touch the damn door. That was the only upside to living with that little Arcana blonde; she was easy to control. Cor didn’t have to beat her into submission, or issue a warning every time she wanted the girl to do something. Nope. The girl was frightened enough to not question her even once. Cor’s slender fingers were gripping the sink as she pondered her situation. She was calm, or at least enough to not ruin the mood of the party. Besides, if she wanted to take advantage of Max, she couldn’t exactly go around being a total emotional wrecking ball. Being an empath, she was pretty sure the handsome teacher wouldn’t appreciate it much. Besides, Cor wasn’t usually one to ever show her emotions anyway. They were typically buried under anger or complete, cold indifference.

She had put on this, having decided that she wanted to keep things sexy. Mostly to show Jay exactly what he was missing out on, because it wasn’t like Max needed much encouragement from her. They’d fucked many times before, so he knew how good she was. That was usually enough to keep the guys hanging around. She smiled to herself, but it wasn’t complete; it was an empty, cold smile, void of any real feeling. She had chosen to numb herself, because it was the easiest way for her to deal with her breaking heart. To be perfectly honest she had moments when she had trouble breathing, and when all she could think of was how much she wanted to fix everything with her man. But no. She fought herself and her own weaker side. Because she was better than that. She didn’t go bowing down to anyone. Especially not Jaysin Dennis. So instead, makeup donned, hair curled up beautifully, outfit perfectly fitted, Cor went straight from the bathroom and to the party, not even sparing a maybe present Ashy a glance.

Once there, Cor didn’t spare the place a glance. Her eyes were fixed on the bar, feeling her need for alcohol skyrocketing. Now she understood why people drowned their sorrows, because that was exactly what she intended to do. And luck had it, Max was there. Promising party already. Cor’s heals clicked musically as she made her way over to the bar, sliding into the seat next to Max. She leaned in over the bar counter, giving the bartender a look. “Five shots of whatever you’ve got that going to knock me off my feet.” She said smoothly, before turning her eyes onto Max, flashing him a wry yet flirty smile. “You look like someone who could use my kind of company,” she teased, crossing her legs purposefully to bare more of her thighs as she turned her entire body towards him by spinning on the bar stool. Hearing her drinks be placed in front of her, Cor took one in each hand downing them straight after each other before placing the small glasses back onto the counter.

Miss Amy Roerig

Amy hadn’t wanted to tell Chris about everything that was going on. She really didn’t want to start putting all her troubles on his shoulders already. She just needed to be around someone who didn’t look at her like she was made of porcelain , someone who didn’t know anything about her issues, and someone who, like Chris, was going to make her feel better with his presence alone. Ad it would’ve been great if she hadn’t noticed the bloody clothes by Chris’s bed, and the way he seemed uncomfortable in his own skin. Amy, being the woman she was, had taken charge, also giving herself a moment to breathe and figure out what she could and couldn’t tell Chris. In the end she’d healed him, but though it would’ve been easy as nothing before, it had left her completely tapped out, so before Chris had had the chance to question her further about her state of mind, she’d fallen asleep, curled up in the grand armchair resembling the one she had in her own room.

Healing Chris had demanded she be close to him, as physically close as they’d been when they had both been students. As his skin had been so damaged, Amy had had to ask him to take off his hoody and t-shirt, so that she could put her hands flat on his chest, feeling the beat of his heart. It was strange, especially since she had Leo now. More so because she knew the immortal male wouldn’t have been too happy about it. Never the less, Chris had needed healing and it was easier for her to do if she had a proper area of skin contact close to the heart. If she had tried to heal him from only his arms, for instance, she would have probably fainted right then and there. She knew it was the baby eating up her power supply. She only hoped nothing bad would happen to it now that she was all tapped out. In fact, her falling asleep had been so rapid, she hadn’t even had the time to ask him what
 or who
had maimed him so badly. Part of her already knew the answer though, and it worried her. If Corentine was targeting teachers now, what was next?

Currently, Amy was still in the chair, breathing still slow and deep, eyes still closed. For all intents and purposes, Amy looked asleep. Because she was fairly certain she wouldn’t be able to answer Chris’ answers honestly and not break her promise to Leo, she was pretending her very best. Besides, just relaxing felt good. She could tell that she had started to charge back up during her nap, but she had no idea how long she’d been gone – probably a couple of hours. She still felt weak and tired, and sort of sick still, but this time she knew it wasn’t the baby. It was the thought of Leo with Katia. She just couldn’t get the pictures out of her head. It was completely messing with her, making her world spin. In one day, she felt like the bliss the two has shared for the past week was coming to an end. So many problems were crowding the two right now. First the Noctrem students moving in, then his treatment of Chris, followed by her finding out she was pregnant, and the big finale? Katia entering the picture.

Amy’s eyes fluttered open as she sighed to herself, still not sure what to tell Chris. But then, she had other things to talk to him about. That could always push off the more private things on her mind. Chris needed a whole bowl of information and she had just been sleeping the time away. Just as her eyes focused enough for her to look for Chris, she heard the unmistakable sound of her phone ringing. Sliding it out of her jeans pocket quietly, Amy cast a short look at the display, noticing both time of day and caller. Leo. She took a deep breath, already knowing why he was calling. But why had it taken him 3 hours? That was quite a while by her estimate. She pressed the receive button and brought the cell up to her ear. “Hey,” was all she said, but even that little word sounded sleepy and weak. Great, Amy. Really. She didn’t know what else to say to him. She was still pretty upset with their whole situation, but in Chris’ room, what she could say was pretty limited.

It seemed to take forever to Jay to leave and for the dust to settle. Things still rattled and papers and clothes were flung by stray gusts until Cor was completely removed from the room. When they both had departed Lulu found herself covered in a hundred shards of splintered wood, clinging to her bedside lamp and looking over a Alli’s formerly pristine side of the bedroom. “She’s going to hate me,” she thought unhappily, before setting the light back on her nightstand and getting to cleaning.

* * *

She was dressed and it wasn’t her choice of clothing. She was wearing, of all things, something Drake had wanted. A short layered graded gray skirt. The ruffles were so out of character for her. She was more often in jeans and rarely revealed her legs. For a top she wore a basic black v neck t-shirt. The bra he had chosen was something she’d bought so long ago when she’d needed it. The push up black lace fabric had her visible at the neckline of the shirt, something she wasn’t necessarily comfortable with. But he said she looked sexy when he’d helped her into the outfit. The underwear was a surprise. He'd tossed it at her as a joke and when he'd left she hadn't originally been wearing it. Now that she was, she wondered if he would be surprised. He’d shown up and scared her shitless as she tried to salvage the bedroom. It was merely payback really.

With soup and teases to spare, she’d asked him to help her change her clothes. She was angry with Cor and up and moving but exhaustion remained and made her so tired that it was hard to even lift her arms. His response was to simply take her shirt off while asking. Lulu had rolled herself in the sheets before demanding he choose and hand her something to wear – preferably not laced with wood splinters. She’d kicked him out later to get her a bottle of vintage rum so that she could at least do her make-up and think twice about what she was doing. She had left her hair straight and chosen a silver necklace in his absence, and of course donned his choice of bra and lace underwear. With her face freshened up and another half hour of sleep under her belt, she looked visibly better. About 100x better than that morning, that much was certain.

Lulu found herself in front of the mirror, contemplating whether she should go to Jackson's party at all. She saw her outward confidence as she turned her back to the mirror and looked over her shoulder at the way her clothes hugged her figure. She was worried about the statement her outfit made and terrified of who would see her in it. Jackson was never one to not invite a person which likely meant that Cor and Jay would be there, as would Erin and Jade and all the other people who loved to make her life hard. They would either taunt her or others and she didn’t know if she could back down again. She felt like a coward for letting Cor win. She didn’t like to be cowed. She didn’t like how her words lingered in her mind, making her look at Drake with apprehension. Did he want a quick fuck out of her to add her to his list of conquests? She was so scared of what he made her feel. Whenever he was in front of her, all the doubts disappeared and they could tease each other and bicker like an old married couple. Just like all those nights in Noctrem. Nothing felt different. In fact, she’d so quickly lost track of time when he’d been in her room again. And it didn’t matter that she’d spent so long in a cold shower nearly freezing herself as she mulled over him leaving her for Erin. He had come back. That did say something didn’t it?

Lulu didn’t like that she was consumed with this issue. It seemed trivial to be so worried about what she felt about Drake or whether to act on it. Yet it was like she was drowning in it and couldn’t avoid it. There was a party to go to now. And she’d told Drake she would be there after he bugged her about it. She still didn’t want to go, even though Jackson was hosting. There was so much that could happen.

But her salvation was there in the form of a bottle of aged rum. She wanted a stiff drink, something that would burn on the way down and cloud her mind from reality. If only for a night. Jack had promised her a bottle of Jack Daniel’s. Drake was bringing her her requested vintage. She would be drunk and blissfully unaware of all the shit that was happening and had happened. And god she would finally sleep. Alcohol could do that for her. And, thankfully, she was a quiet drunk. It sounded worthwhile, if only to take the edge off.

So she slipped out of her room, locking it behind her. She’d left a note for Alli on her bed in case the girl came back. It was simplistic, apologizing for having not formally met her yet and for the residual mess. She explained that Corentine had come looking for Jay and grown angry, so much so that her wind based powers had gotten out of control. She was supremely sorry if anything was damaged and offered to pay for anything that was. She hoped to meet her at the party later and she said so at the bottom before signing her name as she always did.

A second letter was in her hand and it didn’t take long to deliver. She slid it under a door not far from hers, knowing that it was Jay’s suite. She felt like she needed to explain why she’d backed down earlier. She had seen his disappointment when she’d stayed put on the bed. On any normal day she would stand up to Cor but earlier she had smelt blood. Not wanting to risk her head, she’d let them go. But that didn’t mean she was against getting to know him. Their momentary conversation was enough to let her know that something else was there. He had come to see Cor for what she really was and all he wanted was someone loyal to him. She wasn’t sure if she could be his lover, but she still wanted to get to know him better. And his comments weren’t leaving her either. All she could think about was how he’d told her so firmly that she deserved better.

As she left the dormitory wing of the building, she sent Jackson a text:

To: Jack xo
I am en route to the food portion of your soiree. Hope you have that bottle of JD for me. And don’t comment on what I’m wearing. Your new roommate chose it and I didn’t have the strength to argue.

From: Lu xxoo

When she arrived at the gazebo, things seemed low key. Music was playing and the food smelt delicious. Lulu scanned the crowds of students starting to mill around, searching for her best friend, or Drake for that matter. Instead her eyes landed on Jaysin who was standing at the bar. His posture made her eyebrows knit in worry. She could see that he was intoxicated Lulu watched him toss something to the bartender as she stood beside a table of cheese and crackers. Part of her wished that she could walk over there, talk to him and try to carry him off to his room. He was making a show of himself and she didn’t know what to think. But Cor was ever present, on the other of the bar and seated beside a man Lulu didn’t much care for: Max Henderson. Lulu took a toothpick with a square of gouda on it, bringing it between her lips and only nibbling on the end in wait. It was almost like watching a train wreck waiting to happen.

Katia had arrived early. As a chaperone she felt obligated to watch the students who arrived carefully. She was young enough to know that most people pre-drank before they arrived at a party that wasn’t their own. While most students weren’t of legal American drinking age, she wasn’t one to come down on them for doing so. As a native Italian, she had been drinking wine since she was six and having dinner. If consumed responsibly, she had no issue. It was when the puking started and the brawls happened that she was concerned. And so she watched, calculating in her head what they were consuming and how quickly the blood alcohol content of students was given to rise. She had waited enough tables and made enough drinks to know all this. It was second nature to her.

The brunette was seated offside, still dressed in her clothes from that afternoon. Reclining in a chair, she held a wide rimmed wine glass in her hand and sipped from a merlot casually, pausing to swirl it every so often. Leo had slipped from her mind. He’d told her to be there, to watch the kids as he was going to stay in the office and work out some kinks with the roommate pairings and class schedules. She also had specific instructions to watch Max. While she had stormed out of his office angrily – this had been exactly what she’d feared, additional conditions to her employment – she was almost amused by the man. He’d been piss drunk when he’d stumbled into the office earlier. And now that he was almost sober he was getting drunk again. His choice of liquor dismayed her. Vodka. It made her cluck her dissatisfaction already. He definitely still acted the part of a teenager. And it was almost funny to watch.

Leo's heart started to beat faster, and his palms started to get a little sweaty with every ring that went past, and Amy didn't pick up with. He wondered where she was, if she was okay, was.... everything else okay? Now that there was... a child, his child involved, everything started to seem to panic the male a little more. Was this the sort of person that he was going to be, now that there was a life inside his girlfriend's stomach? Worrying at her every movement, panicking when she didn't pick up the phone, thinking the worst to have happened. He was worried, scared, that this was the new Leo, the new person he was going to be. So much responsibility and pressure had fallen onto his shoulders within a few hours, and he was scared. Leonardo Marinos, the immortal Spartan Warrior, was scared.

The immortal male literally felt his heart leap with joy when he heard Amy's voice on the end of his phone, and verbally let out a sigh of relief, letting go of the breath that he hadn't realized that he was holding. Something about his beloved girlfriends voice was different however; she sounded, tired, or weak, or both. Again, the male felt his heart start to race, and he had to take in another deep breath before he spoke, giving him that few more seconds to put on a facade of voice that didn't show through his worry. "Hey." He repeated, wondering what else to say to the woman. Their last meeting had been a little short and brief, and in that time period, she had revealed to him that she was expecting, and Katia had arrived, seriously pissing her off before her leaving. He had made an error there too in not following her, but he hadn't been able to leave Katia alone. Leo wasn't sure what he was supposed to say to her, or how he could make any of this right again - because it wasn't right. There was an unspoken air of tension between the two of them, even down the phone he was able to detect it. He just didn't want it to last long.

"Amy..." Leo sighed, biting down on his bottom lip, a nervous habit of his that he rarely exhibited. "I'm sorry I didn't call earlier, and I'm sorry about Katia. I'm sorry about everything, but I'd really like to see you in person to talk to you about it - where are you, honey?"

Erin had failed. She hadn't been able to keep the handsome face of Drakethrean Quellen out of her mind for long, and soon, her drinks weren't lasting as long as her first one had. One. Two. Three. Four. The fifth was in her hand now, and it was too going down readily. The blonde girl knew that she was going to have to move onto something stronger soon, something that wasn't so feminine, and something that would get her very drunk, very quickly. She didn't like the feeling of being tipsy and woozy, which was how the Archers in her hand was making her feel. No, whiskey was in order. Or something along those lines. The girl readily finished her fifth mixer through the straw and put the glass down on the table, sighing. She went to move, to stand up and make her way to the bar, but her head instantly started to swim the second that she pushed herself to a standing position.

So, she flopped back down again, deciding to take a couple of minutes to let her head settle down, before moving to the bar again, to get her stronger drink. However, before Erin could make her move, someone came over to her; the first person to enter the vicinity of the gazebo since she had sat down there - most people didn't interact with her, unless they knew her well, and that was for three reasons - one, they knew she was a friend of Corentine Quellen, two, they knew about her power, or three, they had heard about her reputation as a whorish bitch. Either way, she didn't mind - the alone time was peaceful. But that peacefulness was soon trashed by the drunken movements of a male, tall, dark and handsome. She was surprised by his voice hitting her ears from afar. Her head snapped up as Jay crashed down onto the couch next to her, downing the rest of the expensive looking bottle that he was drinking all in what seemed to be one breath. Erin could see that he was obviously drunker than her and was lashing out at Cor.

Before the blonde could say anything to male however, he was soon gone. She hadn't had time to defend her friend, or even bitch about her friend, before Jay had left her alone, walking away and getting himself another bottle of whatever he had been drinking, or similar, at the bar. She frowned at the scene unfolding in front of her, and combined it with her confusion at the situation at what had happened. Apparently, Jay and Cor were no more. Why hadn't Cor told her? Why was her best friend sitting at the bar with Max, practically a stranger other than in bedroom, and wasn't sitting there with her, talking about it? She hadn't even replied to her previous text, anyway - about the bad day! Cor was growing higher and higher with every passing moment in Erin's bad books, and she huffed as she pushed herself up once more into a standing position. The girl moved, her heels clicking on the floor, making her way over to the table where the intoxicated male had seated himself.

She passed the bar where he friend was seated, without a word to the other blonde, and soon, she was standing to the side of Jay, her hand on her hip. She watched how Addison came over and touched the back of his neck, smirking at the girl's bravery. If Cor had seen that... well, the girl wouldn't have had those two slinky legs to stand on any more. She stopped for a brief outfit adjustment, pulling her dress down cover more of her modesty, as her dress barely reached the underneath of her bum. Then, she moved and sat down on the other side of Jay, completely ignoring Addison and her flirtatious movements towards the male. Without a word, she casually took the bottle of whiskey out of his hand and took a swig for herself, before replacing it. "She's pissed me off too, today. And seeing her sitting there, doing.... that... instead of talking to me," she paused for a moment, before looking over at the male, "so tonight, I am on your side. It'll get me killed, but why should I give a flying fuck." Erin's confidence could have been seen as stupidity by anyone that knew how Corentine Quellen would react to her best friend sitting with her ex-boyfriend and current enemy, but the blonde just didn't give a fuck. Besides, the copious amounts of alcohol coursing through her system would make her feel better about this betrayal.

Taking things slowly, Jackson was only on his second drink of the night, sipping away in his position, perusing everything around him. He was watching his party, which was now full in swing. The music was playing, loud enough to be heard by everyone, but not loud enough to deafen those standing closer to the speakers, people were picking at the buffet food and seemed to be enjoying it, and the bartender seemed to be incredibly busy, not being able to stop for a moment as the amount of orders were flooding in. He could see that people were getting drunk quite quickly, but that wasn't any of his concern. He knew that Mr. Marinos wouldn't be angry at him for hosting such a party, and would be angry, rather, at those who were stupid enough to drink away their troubles and not turn up for classes the next day.

He hadn't really seen anyone that he was close to yet as he looked around; no sign of Lu, Amber, or even Jess - someone he wasn't all that familiar with, but was quite excited to see tonight at his party. Why? He wasn't really sure? Maybe it was the way that she had acted earlier, and it had intruged him? That was his best guess, anyway - Jackson was rather attracted to people that he had to figure out, people who interested him. It was a rather similar situation with Amber. However, it was the complete opposite with Lulu. She was the one person in the entire world who knew him better than anyone, and who he knew better than she did herself; there was no way to describe his relationship with her, other than he was attracted to her because of her amazing personality, her stunning looks, and the way that he didn't have to explain anything to her - she just knew.

Speaking of the devil, Jack pulled his phone out of his pocket with his spare hand when he felt it vibrate, and his lips instantly changed into a smile when he saw who had text him. He made his way over to the bar once he had placed his phone back into his pocket, and grabbed a bottle of JD from the bartender, his pre-order, and left his other drink. He instantly spotted his gorgeous blonde friend by the bar with a cocktail stick with cheese on the end in her hand, and made his way over to her. The tall Irish man made his way around the back of her however, disappearing into the crowd before he could be spotted at the bar. When he was behind her, he gently placed a hand over her eyes, and rested his chin on her shoulder. "Guess who?" He spoke with his thick Irish drawl, the bottle of Jack Daniels pressed into his back, hiding it. "Drake has good taste, by the way. You look beautiful tonight."

Max hadn't interacted with any of the students who had come up the bar; none of them had sparked his interest, none of the women enough to rouse him from his position, crouched over his glass of vodka. He had felt that there were eyes on him somewhere, someone watching him, but he didn't pay too much attention to the notion - usually, there was someone watching him, especially at events like this. Leo was the sort of person who would send someone out to watch over him, to make sure that he was being sensible, and acting all "professional." Ha. No-one had ever stopped him from acting like this, and now that he was on a level closer to that stature of Mr. Leonardo, he still wasn't going to be controlled. Besides, the alcohol was calming him down anyway, dulling the horrible concoction of emotions that were building inside his mind.

The brunette male didn't have a preferred drink - anything strong and alcoholic was his main preference. Spirits, mainly, and tonight, he had decided on some vodka. This morning, it had been whiskey. Ah, the drink of men. Suddenly, the male was snapped out of his little reverie about alcohol, and into his personal space (which included the two seats either side of him), slid Corentine Quellen, one of the naughtiest little bitches Max had ever had the pleasure of being with. She ordered a hefty supply of shots, and expertly downed them in one go when they were finally placed in front of him. He didn't turn to look at her as she drunk, or return her flirtatious smile. When it came to Corentine, Max was careful. She was a devil in disguise, this one.

However, when she spoke about him being someone who could use her type of company, Max's expression changed from an emotionless blank slate, into a sultry crooked grin that had come to be his trademark. He couldn't stop his eyes from wandering her perfect body as she twisted in her seat, the dress which barely covered anything riding even further up her thigh, exposing her creamy, supple flesh. He slowly brought his gaze up to look into her eyes. He decided not to reply to her comment, his expression revealing his answer clearly. "Your emotions are tightly wrapped today, Corentine." He spoke, taking another large sip of his vodka. "Why so desperate for, as you say, "my company" tonight?" Before the male could inquire about the girls needs for his attention further, Max received a little present in front of him, something he hadn't expected to receive that night. "A condom? Either someone's flirting with me or this is the worst coaster ever. Besides, it's the wrong size - too small for me. What's that in front of you?" He asked the blonde next to him, tossing the condom into the bin behind the bar, getting it straight in his goal.

It wasn't hard to locate the party, what with the humming vibrations caused by the loud music, or the mass of students, with some teachers thrown in, all migrating towards the same location. Of course, it was hard not to look forward to something like this. Jackson always held the best parties on campus.

Running her right hand, currently adorned with a henna tattoo, through part of her hair, Lora made her way through the crowd. Looking around, she spotted a bunch of familiar faces, including a certain Max Henderson. No. She was not going to let him get to her. She was here to have fun, and damn the consequences if she got caught. Nevertheless, she decided to make her way to the bar after he disappeared. A confrontation was not something she was looking for at the moment. Besides, he was with Cor, another person Lora didn't exactly want to talk to. Though, to be quite honest, Max wasn't that bad when he wasn't being such a flirt. Then again, he was an empath, so he would always know how she felt about anything, a fact that sometimes annoyed her.

Letting her eyes linger on the male teacher for just a second, because honestly, he wasn't too hard on the eyes, Lora thought about her recent interactions with the older man. After a moment, she shook her head and went back to her people-watching, not sure what to do at that point.

Lulu and Jackson were in a corner, and both of them were pretty cool. She made a mental note to talk to (hopefully) both of them later, but for now, she'd leave them to their own conversations.

Image

To be quite honest, Emmeline Pearce had no idea what on this earth had possessed her to come down to this party. It wasn't something she'd usually have done. Usually she'd be in the library, or in her own room, with a mug of hot chocolate, and a good book. But no, tonight she was down amongst the throng of people. Perhaps the urge to finally interact with other people had gotten to her. Yeah, maybe that was it. Because other than that, there was really no explanation for her to be at Jackson's party that evening.

She wasn't even completely sure of how she'd managed to get to where she was now. She'd been in her room, doing something or another, When suddenly, her feet just decided to carry her downstairs towards the music and the people. It was true that she'd always been curious as to what actually happened at these parties, having never gone to one herself, and it seemed like she was about to find out. Curiousity killed the cat. She reminded herself, but then again, she wasn't a cat, so that particular phrase hardly applied in her case.

Leaning against a wall, she simply began watching the people around her. It was interesting to observe how they interacted when given the setting of a party. Of course there was alcohol, so the intoxication only added to it all.

Maybe she shouldn't have come. She knew that most likely no one would notice if she were to just slip out now. But no, she decided to stay a moment longer. A few more minutes wouldn't hurt anyone.

I don't really have time to write up Jade right now. I'll do that when I get home. Sorry the posts for each character is a bit short. I dont exactly have much time to type. I might try to expand a bit later.)

Often, Lulu spent nights watching classic films with a bottle of wine and a plate full of cheese. For her to find a gourmet platter of assorted blocks was like heaven. She stood and nibbled, a long skewer in her hand as she stabbed several blocks of Swiss, Cheddar, Havarti and Gouda for herself. It was a cheese kabob and she ate it quicker than she thought she would. She was hungrier than she would have expected, especially since Drake had brought her a large container of soup not long before.

She was on her second skewer when she felt someone approach her from behind. Before Lulu could move, a warm hand looped around her eyes. The blond couldn’t help but smile and she was tickled by the exchange.

"Guess who?" Jackson asked. Her smile faltered for a minute before she shrugged off his hand and turned to face him. “Hey you,” she replied, reaching out to poke him playfully in the shoulder.

"Drake has good taste, by the way. You look beautiful tonight,” he complimented her. At once Lulu looked down at the ensemble, a blush creeping over her cheeks as she found herself able to see right down her shirt. “Stupid v-neck,” she murmured, moving to shift the collar out of discomfort. “Definitely his choice and not mine,” she added, her hands moving to smooth out the skirt, the tips of her fingers touching her bare thighs. Fortunately it wasn’t a cool night. An added bonus was that her outfit had nothing on some of the dresses the girls were wearing. The gazebo area was starting to look like a Vegas club.

“And don’t you look dashing,” she smiled when she turned to look at him again, biting off the last bit of gouda on her kabob and humming in delight as she finished the bite. “You have such a way with the cafeteria people here,” she commented, turning so that she stood directly beside him and could look right at the table. “Any other recommendations? It appears that my appetite has returned. And I figure that my desire to drink myself stupid tonight shouldn’t be committed on an empty stomach. What do you think?"

Kitty had gotten her room number and went there to unpack, which in itself was a horribly boring task for the girl. She sat on the carpet, her suitcase open in front of her, and she just stared at it, as if the contents of the bag was going to put itself away. She sighed loudly, standing up and kicking her suitcase to the side. She could just unpack later, it wasn't a big deal.

Kitty heard a large crash from outside her room, so she popped her head out of the room, seeing some kid on the floor. "Are you alright?" She asked, coming out of the room and (carefully) helping the kid up. He nodded and smiled at her, so Kitty took the time to take in his features. He was an asian guy, cute, but kinda young looking for her taste. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tripped on my shoe laces." He said, laughing slightly. "I'm Eden." He continued, sticking his hand out. Kitty grinned back at him, shaking the friendly stranger's hand, squeezing slightly. "Hi Eden. I'm Kitty." He let go of her hand and running his fingers through his black hair. "Nice to meet you Kitty. Are you new?" Kitty nodded. "Well, kinda. I used to come here, but I just came back today." Eden nodded to show that he understood, but then his eyes lit up with an idea. "Oh, you should come to this party tonight! Everyone's going to be there!" He wore an adorable smile on his face, almost childish in nature.

She bit her bottom lip, thinking, before she made her decision. "Alright! That sounds like loads of fun, I just need to change really quick." Eden looked her up and down. "Why? You look great." Kitty's jaw dropped and she let out a loud "Awwwwwe! You are so cute! Just a second." She ran back into her room, slamming the door and tearing into her suitcase to find a suitable outfit to meet her new classmates in.

Several minutes later, Kitty left her room, fully dressed and ready to go. She posed in front of her door, swinging her small pink bag over her shoulder. Eden smiled and nodded. "You look great." Kitty let out a laugh. "I should. The last time I wore this, I was trying to impress One Direction at their San Diego concert." The boy laughed. "Well, I'm sure you got their attention. Let's go and I fill you in on some stuff going on at the school." Kitty nodded, looping her arm around Eden's, who she felt tense up when she touch. "Alrighty. Let's go!"

The duo walked down the halls as Eden began to brief his companion. "You know the kids from Noctrem are rooming with us, right?" "What?!"

The two soon found their way to the party, which seemed to be in full swing. People were everywhere, dancing, eating, and drinking. Kitty was definately impressed. She hadn't been to a party like this in a while. "Wow." She commented, simply. "This is nice." Eden chuckled, leading them through the crowd of people and getting them to the bar. Kitty's eyes wandered the party, taking in the glorious scene, when she saw it. "Oh Eden! Let's go dance!" She squealed, jumping up and down, tugging at Eden's sleeve. He smiled nervously and glanced sideways. "I don't really dance. But you can dance! Go have some fun, I'll be right here." Kitty pouted at him, but she complied, going over to the dancefloor. She swayed back and forth at first, but it wasn't before long Kitty got into it. Her body moved to the beat and a grin grew on her face. This was going to be a fun night for her.

Image

Eden shook his head and laughed as Kitty left to go dance. He had only known her for a few minutes and she was already acting like they were best friends. He didn't mind though. Happy people like her made the world just alittle brighter. He turned around to face the bar. "Exuse me," He asked the bartender. "Could I get a Coke?"

After he had gotten his drink, Eden looked around, searching for people he knew. That's when he saw her. She was a blonde girl, just stitting alone at a table, drinking. There was something about her that Eden was instantly drawn too. Sure, she was a beautiful girl, but he just wanted to go talk to her. He put a smile on his face, mustering up some of his courage, and he walked over.

"Hi. Are you new here?" He asked, sitting down across from her. "I'm Eden." He smiled kindly, but his mind was racing with insecure thoughts. Why did he sit down? What if she wanted to be alone? 'Lord help me' Eden thought to himself.

Image

Amber walked into the party, clad in a little red dress. She was in such a good mood today. She had finally gotten some dirt on Cor, though she didn't know what to do with it. The wind-manipulating little trollip had been a thorn in Amber's side for years at Noctrem and the blonde seemingly had no secrets, keeping her safe from Amber's claws. A small smile rested on the girl's lips as her heels clicked and clacked against the floor. She searched for Jackson, but instead of finding him, she saw Lora, the gypsy.

Lora was a cool girl in Amber's eyes. Not only did they share Gypsy heritage, but they kinda just clicked when they spoke. Amber strode over to the weather-manipulator, tapping her on the shoulder. "Hey there." She gave a fox-like smile to her friend. Her eyes scanned Lora, her brain making quick observations. "Love the henna!" She exclaimed, lifting Lora's hand to get a better look. Then she saw them out of the corner of her eyes.

Amber looked up and to the side, seeing Lulu and Jackson. It slightly bothered her that they were so close. While others saw them as good friends, Amber saw them for what the really were. They had potential to grow into something more...something romantic. Amber's smile fell, a tiny frown taking it's place. She turned her attention back to Lora. "So, you having fun?"

A huge smile was plastered on Sky's face as he entered the party. He was practically shaking with excitement like a kid as he made his way to the bar. There were certain things he was concerned about, but he tried not to think about them. The thing currently occupying him was Cor. She had come into his room and things quickly got heated (like they usually do) but then she just left. Sky should have known something was wrong. Her eye's were almost...was sad the right word? Sure, Sky would have preferred to nail Cor, but it wouldn't have been right. Something was obviously wrong with her, but Sky didn't even bother to ask her. All he had cared about was forgetting his own problems. Why was he so selfish...

'Speak of the blonde.' Sky thought, seeing Cor at the bar with Max. Mr. Henderson was an interesting man, but Sky didn't think he was the best teacher in the world. What kind of teacher sleeps with their students? That was pretty illegal. Sky decided not to think about it, so he got a couple shots from the bartender and he winked at Cor, smiling. He turned around, taking a quick shot, letting the alchohol work it's magic. He thought for a moment, noteing that he had been drinking earlier today as well. Maybe he should take it easy tonight. The pyro shook his head and let out a laugh. There was no way that was going to happen.

Another shot went down the hatch when Sky noticed Ashy drinking an orange juice by herself. "Ashy!" He shouted, grinning. "Come have a shot with me!"

Drake Quellen

As Jackson had obviously left early for his own party, Drake had been alone for the better part of the afternoon, the room almost too quiet. So, to cope, he’d turned on music. Currently Scorpions were playing ‘Rock You Like A Hurricane’ and it was definitely improving the dark male’s mood. After a bit of after-sex flirting with Erin, Drake had left and to be honest he hadn’t been planning on actually going to see Lulu again, but he’d wanted to check on her, to make sure she was alright. Besides, he had a feeling she probably hadn’t gotten around to eating anything, so after a pit-stop in the cafeteria, where he’d charmed the cook into making Lulu some soup, he’d headed to her room. And found the door torn off its hinges. The room had looked like it’d been struck by a hurricane, or, as Lulu had informed him, his sister Corentine. He’d honestly been a bit surprised. Lulu couldn’t possibly have done anything to agitate Cor already today, and it wasn’t like his sister to blow things apart unless she was seriously pissed. Well, he’d wondered until he had been told Jay had stopped by Lulu’s room. Then things had become clear.

She’d given him a brief recap of everything that had happened and he remembered wishing he’d been there to handle Cor, because obviously the things his sister had said to Lulu had gotten to the girl. Not that he was surprised. Cor was good at that. Mostly because he was the one who had sort of maybe taught her a little. How to use people’s weaknesses against them. Cor was a
quick study. Of course he hadn’t expected her to use him against Lulu, but if Jay had been involved? Drake knew precisely how merciless and fierce his sister was when it came to things she cared about, and she cared a lot about Jay. Unfortunately the two were also having issues, and Drake had actually started to wonder if maybe he should talk to the guy. Or hell, even Cor, because though Drake loved some drama to keep things interesting, he could only imagine what was going on with his sister, and in spite of everything, he didn’t want her miserable. He wanted her happy and making others miserable. Back to the Cor he knew and loved
albeit also hated sometimes. But hey, that was the way of siblings, right?

Either way, Drake and Lulu had soon dropped the issue and gone back to just being them, messing around, laughing and having fun. It’d taken some of the tension out of Drake, and he was actually quite curious to see whether she was actually wearing the outfit he’d picked out for her. Especially the lingerie. He’d more or less just thrown on his outfit, his hair kept in its usual slightly messy style. He was so late as it was, but that was just what Drake did. Although he had to say he actually had a lot of things he wanted to do tonight. Flirt with Ashy, talk to Cor, drink with Lulu and probably Jackie-boy too. In fact, Drake had big plans; getting back to himself. All this emotional shit today had thrown the male Quellen quite a bit, and he needed to get drunk and be a cold bastard just to even the score. He liked things to be even. Nice Drake equaled an equally cold and indifferent Drake at a later time. That was just how he coped and it worked for him. The world was tilting too much currently and he didn’t like it.

Drake ran a hand through his hair taking his first look in the mirror and shrugged. Should do. A grabbed one of his bottled with aged rum, like he’d promised Lulu, and walked off, taking a look at the door to the room before leaving. It’d be so like Cor to sneak in and steal more of his booze tonight, and he really didn’t have much left after living with her for the past month. He needed to get in touch with his usual supplier, but the guy was being difficult at the moment, so as it was he needed to put a lid on his little thief of a sister. Drake looked around him, gathering shadows from every corner he could spot, letting them shape and harden to form a protective shield for the door. It’d have to do. No one was getting inside now. People would probably wonder when they walked past, but what did he care. Jackson wasn’t coming anytime soon anyway. Drake put his hands in his jacket pockets and walked down to the party. However, he kept himself in the shadows at first, surveying the scene, eyes wandering.

Jay was just now leaving Erin and Addie in the gazebo, looking like he was searching for someone in particular. Someone Drake knew wasn’t Cor. Because she was pretty obviously seen, sitting at the bar talking to Max. Her posture wasn’t the relaxed one she would usually have with the teacher, but rather tense and stiff with anger, and
hurt? Obviously. If Jay and Cor were having issues and Addie was jumping at the chance. Hell, even Erin was talking to the guy. He raised an eyebrow, shaking his head. He’d catch his sister later. The male had just decided to talk to Jay when the guy found what he was looking for in Esme. Ah hell. This wasn’t going to end well. He let out a slight sigh, eyes finding Lulu talking to Jack who was obviously liking the outfit Drake had picked out. It caused a small smirk to graze his lips to see that Lulu was actually wearing it, and it again made him wonder what was underneath. Shaking it off, his eyes moved on. Amber was talking to Lora. He might have to stop by the two. Now, where was little Ashy? He’d find her soon, that was for sure.

He chuckled to himself, making his way over to Lulu and Jack. On his way he let Lulu see his eyes traveling down her body, a satisfied smirk on his lips. “I have to say this is better than I imagined.” He put the bottle of rum down beside her, “you look amazing.” Then he chuckled, looking over at Jack, “not that you don’t Jackie-boy, but you know I don’t roll that way.” Gaze back on Lulu, he began walking off with a last comment and a typical Drake grin, “rum as promised. Enjoy. I’ll see you guys later.” That done, Drake made his way over to the bar about to order something when he heard Sky’s voice just a little to the side. Calling out to Ashy? Drake followed the other guy’s eyes and located the little innocent blonde. Great. He ordered a couple of shots and went to join Sky, calling out to Ashy, “yeah, Ash, you’re looking a little too sober tonight.” Downing one of his shots, he sent the blonde a devious smirk, clearly telling her which mode he was in tonight. Ashy was just too fun to mess with. He looked at Sky then. “So are you by the way. Just got here?” He asked the Pyro, actually wondering. Sky wasn’t one to get drunk slowly. He usually partied fully from the second he stepped into an occasion.

Leo didn't like Amy's pause when he asked her where she was. It worried him in fact, that she wasn't answering him. What was she hiding from him? It was strange, that Amy wasn't replying. She never hid anything from him, especially now that they were in a relationship; when they had just been friends however, they had still had no qualms about telling each other anything. He didn't want that to change, not now that their relationship was a little more complicated and confusing. Whilst he waited for her reply, the male sat back in his chair, dropping his head back so that his neck was resting on the back of his chair.

However, soon, Amy's voice was hitting his ears and he almost felt his heart sink when Amy told him where she had been for the last three hours; At Chris'. He literally sat there with his mouth opening and closing, looking like a fish out of water. He heard her voice shake slightly as she told him that she didn't want to fight any more, and he just nodded, forgetting that she couldn't see him. The man couldn't believe that she had been with Chris all of this time. She could have stayed with him, and spoke to him about their issues, instead of going to tell Chris, a guy that she knew he wasn't all that fond about right now. He knew that she had to have felt awkward with Katia there, but he was only helping her, giving her a job when she needed one. She didn't understand their situation., and hadn't stayed to ask him about it.

Amy then told him to meet her in his apartment, and before he could reply - the phone went dead. The male pulled the phone away from his ear and looked at it, his expression stunned. He had never been hung up on before, especially by Amy. An exasperated sigh escaped Leo's lips as he placed his phone back into his pocket and stood up, leaving his office. He didn't lock the door behind him, there was no point - every student was out at the party, and no teacher would dare go into there without his permission. So, the male slowly made his way up to his apartment, taking small steps. He was slightly nervous to see his girlfriend; their last few conversations being extremely awkward, and the tension between them could almost be cut by a knife. However, he was soon outside his front door and took in another deep breath before opening it, revealing the scene in front of him.

"Amy!" Leo gasped, rushing into his apartment, the door closing slowly behind him. The picture in front of him scared him; his pregnant girlfriend whom he had recently argued with collapsed onto his hallway floor, her skin a horrible pale hue. "Are you okay? What's wrong?" His voice was filled with panic as he knelt down in front of her, taking her cheeks into his hands, cupping them delicately. Lifting up her head so that she could look into his chocolate browns, he let his eyes frantically look over her, checking for any sign of injury.

Erin was kind of put out. She had moved all the way from her comfortable position in the gazebo to talk to Jay, and maybe even Addison once she had seen the girl sitting down next to him, but practically just after she had sat down, the two of them had fucked off. She had been left with a consolation prize however; Jay's expensive looking bottle of whiskey that he had placed into her hand, asking her to look after it until he returned. Yeah, right. Like he was going to return in that state. Jay was already borderline paralytic, and he was probably going off to find someone to have a revenge fuck with; this bottle was now hers, the blonde had decided. So, she twisted off the lid and took another swig, letting the warm liquid trickle its way into her stomach, filling her with a strange sense of alcoholic warmth.

The girl was usually filled with confidence, and soon, the alcohol was only giving her extra. She literally felt like she was buzzing on alcohol, her eyes clouded over, yet everything still visible to her. She was a little unsteady on her feet when she stood up, but she blamed it on the high heels that she had stuck on her feet that night. Yeah, nothing to do with the copious amounts of alcohol coursing through her blood stream, was it. No... Slowly, the blonde started making her way through the now crowded party area, her eyes expertly searching the people for one face in particular; a face that she knew all too well. It surprised her when she saw who her target was standing with and talking to, and she decided to make her way over there, and maybe provide him with some sort of... interesting companionship.

It was a difficult feat, yes, but somehow, Erin made her way over to Drake without falling over, staying up the entire way. She was quite pleased with herself actually, and she took another victory swig of Jay's her whiskey, congratulating herself. She came up behind the male, and ignoring the fairy-like blonde that was standing in front of him, she wrapped her arm around his waist, going up on her tiptoes so she could whisper in his ear. "Hello, lover." Her lips brushed against his skin as she spoke, her voice a sultry tone that she reserved only for him. She kept her arm around him for some extra stability as she came down from her tip-toes, and turned to look at Ashy, who seemed too sober for the blonde's liking. She thrust out the bottle that she was holding in her hand towards Ashy, offering her the bottle. She knew that twinkle-toes here was quite wary of her, but she had no disliking towards her; in fact, Erin actually found her quite... cute, in a way. "You look like you need this more than I do, girl."

In a way, Erin thought that she was doing good, coming in between Drake and Ashy's conversation; why? Ashy was... too sweet and innocent and frankly, just too adorable for someone like Drake. He was cruel, vindictive, a vicious lover; someone like Ashy would only get her sweet little heart broken by this bastard of a man. She slowly made her way around to stand in front of Drake, however off to the side, so that she wasn't completely cutting Ashy out, more like... shielding her? Why was she feeling considerate all of a sudden?! Keeping her arm wrapped around Drake, Erin bit down on her bottom lip and looked up at him. "Drakeeeee," she mewed, pressing her body in closer to his, "are you trying to corrupt this poor girl?"

Jackson luckily hadn't seen the faltered smile on Lulu's face; if he had, it probably would have broken the Irish male's heart. He was totally infatuated with the girl that he counted as his best female friend, and he would just feel totally disheartened and destroyed if he had actually seen disappointment on her face when he hadn't turned out to be Drake. Jack knew that he wasn't the man in Lulu's heart; that he was just a friend to her, and he was fine with that - it was something that he had come to terms with recently. But, he just didn't want to actually hear it. If he didn't hear it, then he knew that he could live with it. But if he was actually told that he had no chance what so ever... he'd be crushed.

He felt himself smile as Lulu blushed at his compliment, but that soon changed as she mentioned that it was all Drake's work. He wasn't too fond of the idea of Drake going through all of Lulu's belongings and choosing her entire outfit; Drake was one of Jack's friends, however he didn't trust the man one little bit. He hid his frown quickly though before Lulu could see his expression change, replacing the smile that had just faded over the top of his concerned expression. She looked beautiful, that he had already stated and truly believed, however, she barely looked liked Lulu - the skirt was too short, her v-neck was too deep... it wasn't Lulu - it was how Drake wanted Lulu to be. And he wasn't so sure that he liked it.

Before Jackson could say anything else however, Drake made a cameo into their conversation, putting in his own five cents worth about Lulu's outfit. He stood there awkwardly for a moment as the taller, better looking male complimented his best friend on her outfit, and then placed a bottle of rum down next to her, her obvious drink of choice. He wondered for a moment if he should even bring out the drink that he had bought for them to share, knowing that she preferred the rum to his Jack Daniels, but decided against mentioning it at this moment. Then, soon, the male was gone, and it was just the two of them alone again - a situation Jack preferred.

"Oh, this - it's nothing." Jack smiled softly, brushing off her comment. He had literally had five minutes to get ready after everything had been set up, and so he hadn't put much thought into his attire at all - he had just picked the first shirt out of his wardrobe that he had found and threw it on, as well as the jeans that had been draped over his desk chair. When Lu came to stand next to him, he wrapped his arm around her waist, a usually friendly gesture of his when it came to her. "I know, I'm loved by the catering staff here." He smiled, making sure to look up and spot the lady who was the creator of this elaborate spread, and give her a curt nod. "Well, you've already found the main part of the buffet which I designed for you specially. But, if you crave something else, what about the Cajun chicken and pepper skewers?" Jack gently led her over to the meat section of the buffet and gestured to the kebab sticks filled with three pieces of spiced chicken, with slices of red, yellow and green pepper between. "They're to die for, honestly." He grinned, before picking one up by the end of the stick and offering it out for her.

"Oh," he remembered, bringing out the bottle of Jack from behind his back, "I brought this for you. It's not as good as the rum, I know. But still, I promised."

Max didn't say anything as he watched Corentine, her eyes looking around the crowded party room. Her mind was definitely somewhere else tonight, and she was highly distracted; whatever had been on that note in front of her had caused some sort of pain for the girl - that was something else that being an Empath had taught the brunette male to do. If someone was hiding their emotions from him, like the blonde in front of him so readily did, he had learnt to read specific body language and facial expressions, to gauge some sort of emotion from the person he was studying - and at the moment, Corentine Quellen was seriously upset and angry at the same time, a dangerous combination of emotions coming from a girl like her. Something of course, he would never tell her. Surprisingly, he cared about himself enough not to want to die a horrible death at her hands.

He took the last three gulps of his vodka as Corentine decided to tear up the piece of paper that had upset her so much. He nodded towards the bartender, getting his attention and ordered another drink, this time, a whiskey. Despite him not having a preferred drink, he sometimes fancied others more than the other - and instead of vodka, the male now wanted whiskey back. "Jaysin, eh?" He mumbled, downing half of his drink in only one gulp. He was curious as to what she was on about, but he was unable to get a grasp on her emotions that she was cloaking so well. Instead, Max had to get a grip on what she was on about by piecing together the little bits of information that he had received; apparently, Corentine and Jay had been "something", and she had upset him, so he had decided to hurt her back, sparking this little "game" that she was on about. Yeah, that sounded about right.

Then, the atmosphere around the two of them changed and Max decided to become more involved in their conversation. It was about to change? A slight break in Corentine's barriers allowed him to feel her emotions for a second, and he turned to face her. Something was different about her tonight; she wasn't her usual... full bitchy herself, she was more reserved and hurting at the moment, and that spark in her eyes, was false. However, he wasn't going to pass any sort of offer up that meant that he would be able to have a good time. If anyone, that wasn't Jaysin, was going to get Corentine to act normally again, the merciless bitch that she was, he was probably that person. "I'll help you out however you want, gorgeous." He smiled, downing the rest of his drink before ordering another. Then, he leaned forward, placing his hand on her thigh, moving it upwards slowly, his fingers just sliding under the hem of her short dress before stopping there. "How would you like me to help?"

This wasn't fun; this was torture. Not for the first time in her life, Ashleigh Fox felt like a puppet. She had no life, no soul, no emotions other than the ones that Drake Quellen was putting into her. He was pulling all the strings, controlling the conversation. The worst part for the blonde was that he knew his position all that well. She could tell by his smile that he was satisfied with the state he had her in. Dammit, why was she still here? The other side of the room was a much safer place. There were people that weren't trying to... she couldn't exactly explain what it was Drake was doing to her, all she knew that she didn't want to leave... but she didn't want to stay either.

Sky had earlier suggested that the pair dance. Dance?! Was this man serious?! Sky was all about taking risks, the blonde had deduced that much when she had met him, but that suggestion was just damm right stupid. Sure, she could dance and she was good at it. In fact, Dancing was the only thing Ashy actually had confidence at... helped by the teachers here. She had often been admired by Ms martin for her creative style of dancing and she had to admit, she was pretty damm good at it. However, two trains of thoughts crossed the blondes mind. The first; dancing now, with the hot male, was just going to make her look like a fool. Secondly, dancing with Drake in front of the rest of his fan club was boarding on a death sentence.

'Old habits die..' Her sentence was cut short by the disturbance at the end of the bar between Zac and Mo. For a few seconds, the blonde looked over Drakes shoulder to observe the scene. Mo was... different. It looked like she was drunk, which didn't make sense. Ashy knew that her friend rarely had any sort of alcohol, if at all... Odd. Mo had obviously said something to rile Zack up, because he shouted at her for a while, before stalking off out of the tent. '...hard' She finished her sentence to Drake, with a small sigh. It had been a long time since Zack had got angry and even though she knew she wouldn't be much of a match for him, the blonde decided she needed to see him.

She was about to make her excuses and leave Drake, setting herself free but the pair where then joined by.... an extremely drunk Erin. Knowing that she was close to Cor, Ashy looked round instinctively for any sign of the Ice queen. She was still talking to a man she didn't recognize. However, the blonde knew that if she was friends with cor, she soon would. Turning back to the situation in hand, Ashy found herself being presented a with a bottle of whiskey by the rather drunk woman in front of her. She gave a small smile at the girl; she wouldn't drink it, everyone in the situation knew it, well apparently not Erin. Then, her puppet master spoke, telling her that she should drink it otherwise Erin would get worse. Bastard. Ashy was a caring person, almost to extremes... She clutched the bottle closer to her. She did agree with Drake that the blonde shouldn't have anymore. Erin was also trying to... protect her? This concept was also extremely strange to the blonde. They'd barely spoken.

What happened next truely stunned the pure blonde. Drake, this guy who had so far been...well a player, turned nasty. Ashy watched in horror as he just grabbed a chunk of Erin's hair and spoke to her like... he owned her. What the hell was this man?!

She held onto Erin to keep her steady as the blonde walked towards her, and told her all about Drake. Even though the woman leaning into her was totally ruined, Somehow Ashy knew she was speaking the truth. 'Help me' She whispered. Why turn to this girl? They had barely spoken....but at that moment.. Ashy has never felt more scared. She watched as the blonde walked away to sit alone. Ashy thought of going to sit with her, to make sure she was alright. But first, the blonde needed to...confront? No she'd lose that argument... Question Drake. 'What the hell did you just do?!' Ashy asked, the shock from the past from moments coming through in her voice.

He's going to kill me.

Jess been at the party for a while now. She had entered the party with Mo. who had then warned her not to get too drunk. She gave a small smile before retorting 'I'm a Noctrem student, we get drunk on a regular basis.' As her room mate walked away, the brunette had taken a while to survey the scene around her.

The party beautifully set out; Jack had done well. Of course he had, he was Irish, they always knew how to have a good time. St Patrick's Day was evidence enough of that. There was enough food on the tables to feed an army and, the idea of the bar insinuated that there was enough drink at the bar to get them all suitability merry. Maybe a little more than that for some. Jess smiled wryly, surveying the scene of people she vaguely knew. Drake was with Ashy. Poor girl, so naive, so sweet. He was just a bastard and everyone with a brain knew it. Further up the bar there was Cor standing with Mr Henderson; the man with the oxymoronic job in the world, considering how... detached he was and yet, he seemed to be having a quite intriguing conversation with Cor. Fitting really, the two were perfect for each other.

As the brunette looked further along the bar, she spotted her room mate again, this time with Zack. She saw the male get angry at Mo, who didn't seem quite right..Jessica watched the male stormed out of the tent, for a moment she was torn. She knew how angry Zack got and she wanted to make sure the poor boy didn't get hurt as he had done several times before, but she was also ever so aware of her room mates position. Thankfully, Ali had taken Mo under wing and the brunette decided that the situation didn't needed addressing anymore.

As the brunette went and ordered a Vodka and Lemonade from the bar, her first drink of the night, she reflected on her day. First, she'd been left by a woman that claimed to be her best friend, then she'd been completely bewitched by the sexy Irishman that was Jackson Murphy and finally she'd had Mo crawl in her mind and shown her some frankfully distressing images that the brunette was sure, if she was sober by the end of the night, she'd probably have nightmares about. Yup. she needed this drink. It was vital.

Then a sight caught Jess's eye; Killian Jackson sitting on his own. This a strange situation, not that in the sense that he was alone, but in the sense that Jay was nowhere to seen. Jess was baffled by this; Killian had changed so much in recent times, now he was alone? The brunette was curious. Grabbing her drink from the bar, she made her way over to the man with the cheeky grin. As she did so, she spotted Jackson by the buffet, with Lulu who looked... unlike herself. Not that it didn't suit her, of course, it just wasn't what the world normally saw of the blonde girl. She then cast on eyes on Jackson, who was looking incredibly smart tonight, she gave a small wave of greeting, giving a small smile as she remembering their flirting session earlier.

'Mr Jackson, you intrigue me' She told Killian, pulling up a chair and sitting next to him as she finally reached the table, 'You're sitting here, completely alone, why?' She added, in way of explanation.

Before she knew it, she and Jackson weren’t alone. The moment the statuesque Drake was behind her Lulu found herself holding her breath. Tension immediately rippled through her and the dynamic seemed to change. It had always been this way between them, from the first time she’d hammered a fist on his door at Noctrem and told him to turn down his music and when he’d answered the door half dressed and asked her what she was going to do about it. He’d ended up with the misfortune of very badly stubbed toe and, if she wasn’t mistaken, his stereo had shorted. Lulu had never succumbed to his charm until today when with her power hangover she’d suddenly lost control of her emotions.

“I have to say this is better than I imagined,” Drake complimented her. Lulu could feel the subtle hint of a blush creep over her cheeks. Subtly she moved to cross her arms across her chest to mask the cut of her shirt, again pulling at the skirt he had chosen. She felt as if her butt was showing as the breeze crept across the back of her thighs. “You look amazing,” he added. She swallowed and brought one hand to her cheek to try and hide how much that meant. Lulu looked over at Jack who seemed
tense? "Thank you," Lulu blushed.

“Not that you don’t Jackie-boy, but you know I don’t roll that way,” Drake smiled. Lulu watched her crush closely and when he turned back to her, her smile widened. He had had her smiling so much today her cheeks were sore.

“Rum as promised. Enjoy,” Drake said, producing the deep auburn bottle for her, the black cap sealed with red wax. It was a variety that she had snitched from his liquor cabinet many times. Lulu gasped and reached out for it, her eyes half glittering. “So good,” she muttered, half mused by her turn of phrase because in the back of her mind Jaysin’s words still echoed in her mind. She looked back up into Drake’s eyes and could just hear it again and again. You deserve better. It made her swallow and avert her gaze back to Jackson who still seemed uncomfortable.

“I’ll see you guys later,” Drake smiled and with a nod he turned away and strode into the throng of people gathering at the bar. Lulu watched him as he moved towards the bar and another blond. She knew the girl to be from Arcana and the name came to her quickly. Ashleigh. Lulu pursed her lips, feeling her stomach flip with butterflies and concern but it was Drake. But he had just left her so quickly, after two seconds and a compliment, to spend time with a blond girl who, while physically similar to Lulu, was her polar opposite in personality. Envy crept over her and she knew she felt it and she didn’t like that she felt it but that didn’t make it go away.

“You have such a way with the cafeteria people here,” she commented, turning so that she stood directly beside him and could look right at the table.

When he wrapped her arm around her, Lulu didn’t think twice about leaning into him. Jackson may have been shorter than Drake, but he was still taller than her and just by enough. Jackson had always been a comfort to her and he was then as her eyes moved from the food before her and subconsciously towards Drake and Ashleigh over by the bar. They were quickly joined by Erin who was already so drunk that Ashleigh needed to help her stand. Lulu found herself paying close attention to them, watching Erin lean onto Drake’s shoulder, her lips brushing up against his ear as she batted her eyelashes. It made the bile in Lulu's stomach turn and she found herself peeling at the wax on the bottle of rum Drake had gifted her. She couldn’t watch this. It was making her feel sick.

"I know, I'm loved by the catering staff here,” Jack replied to her compliment on his buffet. His words brought her back to reality and as they turned to look at the complete spread of food she unscrewed the cap completely. “Any other recommendations? It appears that my appetite has returned. And I figure that my desire to drink myself stupid tonight shouldn’t be committed on an empty stomach. What do you think?" she asked, her eyes looking for something heavy, and full of carbs. "Well, you've already found the main part of the buffet which I designed for you specially. But, if you crave something else, what about the Cajun chicken and pepper skewers?" he offered and as they walked towards the meats she strode along with him. When he lifted one of the kabobs with chicken and peppers she knew he had picked right. The spices smelt strongly and she set the bottle of rum on the table and turned to face Jack directly. "They're to die for, honestly," he grinned, offering one to her. Lulu flashed her eyes over at Drake before she leaned in, biting into the kabob as Jack held it out for her, her lips pulling a piece of yellow pepper into her mouth. She leaned back and chewed, nodding with content as the flavor struck her. “Delicious!” she smiled, her hand moving to the bottle of rum Drake had left her, taking it right in hand, popping the cap and bringing it right to her lips to drink a mouthful. The rum hit her tongue and was smooth, complimenting the cayenne and chili spices used in the chicken. It glided down her throat, warming it and immediately she felt the kick. It was beautiful rum. You could tell it ran for over a hundred dollars for the bottle.

"Oh," Jack commented, swinging his arm around to reveal a larger bottle of Jack Daniels from behind his back. “Yes!” she smiled, capping the rum Drake had given her and setting it aside. "I brought this for you. It's not as good as the rum, I know. But still, I promised,” he commented.

“JD is fantastic, nothing better,” Lulu beamed. She reached for it and flexed her fingers. While Drake’s rum was a vintage, it was meant to be savored. Jack Daniels tasted just as fine to her and she wanted nothing more than to be in the forgetful place of a drunken stupor.

“You are so good to me, so much better than anyone else,” she commented, taking it in her hand and moving to collect two disposable cups from the end of the table by some pop. She pulled some ice from a small bucket and poured in rum, a shot for Jack and half a cup for herself. The rest she filled with soda, left for the non-drinkers and those who didn’t need to go to the bar. Bringing the cups back over, she handed Jack one before lifting hers. “Cheers, to us because who's better?” she toasted with a wink, moving to click her cup with his before bringing it to her lips to drink half in one go. The whiskey burned, and while it wasn’t as smooth as the rum, it hit her hard. A buzz hit her quickly and it made her happy, for once, that she was relatively a light weight. What is coming over me? Since when do I ever want to intentionally get drunk?

“Mmm!” she said suddenly, the sight of Corentine reminding her of their earlier run in. “I may need whatever carpentry skills you possess. Miss Quellen decided to blow the door off it’s hinges earlier to mine and Alli’s room. Part of the reason I redressed in this was because most of my stuff was covered in splintered wood. I feel terrible because on top of that, Corinne got so pissed off that her powers got out of control so it looks like a tornado hit the room. Jack, my roommate is going to hate my guts.”

Addison Lawler

Addison watched the party unfold, drama was on the rise. She could feel it. She rolled her neck a bit and her shoulders back, standing up from the seat she had taken at the bar, her eyes flickering around a bit... Who could she get alone?

Killian...? Nah...

Jessica?. ... She laughed at the thought, a delighted smirk flickered onto her face. Maybe later in the year. No doubt that girl had some bisexy tendencies up her sleeve.

The girl continues to look around as Jay drags someone off to his room. Oh, my, drama...Drama, drama.

Of course, she knew Cor would soon have her revenge on her for sure. She most definitely saw the flirtatious act that Addison had displayed when talking to Jaysin. But, Addison was a bit too mentally gone to start giving two shits about it at this point. Walking away from the bar, she feels a bit like a bubble head, the alcohol and weed in her system was the perfect balance to make her lose her focus for a bit.

Where the fuck was Jade?

She shrugs, Jade must be around here somewhere. She had to be. If not, Addison would track her down eventually to see what her bestie was up to.... She began to meander through the party, people watching was so much fun for Addie, she loved to induce, create and watch drama bubble over. Mostly because she didn't find anything more amusing, plus the fact she had nothing better to do at this damn school. She got straight A's and did everything she was told.

A thought passed her by and a smirk flies across her face, Leo...

Oh, the things she would do to that man... She shakes her head a bit as she takes a seat alone on one of the benches, not even hesitating to light up another cigarette. She leans back on the bench, folding one arm over her torso and bringing the cigarette to her lips. The sweet taste of nicotine in her cotton mouth was nice. She clicks her tongue as she exhales and begins to think.

This party, of course, wasn't up to par with the Noctrem parties, but these Arcana kids had no idea how to have fun. But, there was free alcohol. She really couldn't complain with that. She shrugs a bit, taking another drag, tilts her head back and closes her eyes as she inhales deep, then slowly exhales, watching the smoke float above her head. She begins to sing a song under her breath, "I wanna be drunk when I wake up, on the right side of the wrong bed...".

McKenna Marinos

McKenna had been sitting there for a while, a few shots in her system and she was mildly buzzed. It was a good kind of buzz though, which was nice. She notices Jackson and Lulu standing over by themselves and she stands up, bouncing over to them.

Where the hell was Jessica? She looks around, but then notices she had seated herself next to Killian. Oh well... She shrugs quietly as she approaches Lulu and Jackson.

"Good evening, Lulu, Jackson... You look nice tonight, Lulu, and you as well Jacks--" She then notices Jackons' arm around Lulu and she adds quickly, "I...Hope I'm not interrupting something."

She suddenly becomes slightly embarrassed, her cheeks turn a rosy pink. She had always had this small quirky crush for Jackson, although she never said it to him. He thought of her like a best friend, nothing more, nothing less.

"I just wanted to say this is a great party you have put together..." She says to him with a small smile. She bites her lower lip and lets out a small sigh.

[[Sorry for 'Kenna's post being so small]]

Hate when she’s drunk, Drake mused as Erin responded to his words. Admittedly, Drake knew he was crossing some lines, but he didn’t really care, and Erin should’ve honestly known better than to bother him like that, considering she claimed to “know him”. No one knew him. Not really. She might know him better than a lot of others, but she was still ignorant. She was glaring at him as she told him she didn’t need him to show him a good time, and that she could take care of himself. To hide the sarcastic smile almost appearing on his face, Drake took a sip of his alcohol, letting it loosen him up a little. Mostly that was his issue; he was tense and uncomfortable. Being with Lulu had helped, but as soon as he’d left her and Alli’s room, that rigidness had come back, and it wasn’t like him. He did appreciate the fact that he was completely indifferent regarding Erin’s anger, because it made him feel more like himself. In fact, he found it hilarious. She didn’t need him to show her a good time? That was rich. And a lie. And she could handle herself again Cor? That was just a bad joke. Erin’s powers were too physical. Cor would throw her around like a puppy. Except Drake knew his sister would handle things differently with Erin, because she was a friend. Or a former friend. Whatever.

He remained silent and took another sip of alcohol, expecting her to leave after her little self-defense, but no, she moved on to Ashy. Drake’s gaze followed her, his attention on the two blondes. He was slightly surprised, yet he shouldn’t have been. Drunk Erin was just annoying as fuck. Ashy, however, looked rather dumbstruck and sort of terrified, her eyes wide and surprised. He couldn’t very well blame her for that, considering how she’d never seen that side to him before. Hell, he very rarely saw it himself. So when Erin began telling ashy how this was the real Drake Quellen and so forth, he raised an eyebrow, watching how Ashy’s facial expression became even more scared. He didn’t actually give a crap about what Ashy thought of him, if he had to be honest, but he did think it rather fun that the girl was so easily manipulated and he knew it wouldn’t be an issue to rectify everything Erin had just said. So he just let Erin have her little bitching session, looking at her with definitely indifference, just to show her exactly how little he even cared about what she was telling Ashy.

Ashy’s face was a mask of terror when Erin left her, blowing Drake a kiss on the way. In return, Drake smirked at the angry blonde, eyes glinting with humour. He had lost his temper briefly with her before, but that was a very short breach in his usual demeanor; something that only happened once every other year. Honestly he wasn’t entirely sure why it had been today at that exact moment, but hell, he’d figure it out eventually. And it didn’t mean her little escapade would get to him in any way, so if that’s what she had wanted, she was just making a fool of herself. Then Ashy’s voice cut through his inner amusement, and he couldn’t help chuckling casually, casting her a heartstoppingly gorgeous smile, feeling a lot more relaxed already. He took another sip of his whiskey, watching her silently for a little while, then he shook his head slightly, smile falling off his lips as a sigh escaped them. He ran a hand through his hair then, his attitude changing from arrogant, amused and flirtatious, to slightly frustrated and regretful.

“Look, I know you don’t know me very well, and I know you definitely aren’t familiar with Erin, so you sure as hell don’t know about our relationship. All in all, I get why you wouldn’t have any idea what just happened here, and it’s complicated.” He rubbed the back of his neck, casting Erin a glance. “She flips her shit when she gets angry, hulking out and all, so she needs someone to calm her beast. That’s me, because apparently others don’t work. And it gets a little rough.” He smiled slightly, shrugging. “So that,” he gestured towards Erin, “whole thing
wasn’t actually as bad as it may seem. It’s just part of our relationship. I think the fact that it was in public might’ve ticked her off a little.” His eyes fell on Ashy once more, dark and deep, captivating in themselves. “On top of that, Erin just gets were dramatic when she’s drunk, and that’s all this was. Fact is, I’m not in the mood for it tonight, and I’m sorry you got messed up in it all. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not like my sister, and I don’t enjoy hurting people. I’m not going to do anything to you that you don’t want me to, okay?” His voice, his eyes, everything about the male, was completely honest and soothing, attempting to explain things as well as calm the blonde in front of him down.

All the while, Drake considered his options. He’d probably have to do damage control with Erin too, and dealing with her tonight might either make things easier or harder, depending on how he chose to go about it. Which again depended on her. He knew she was pissed, and that much was understandable enough. Fact was that she was also hurting from everything with Keirol, and thinking that Cor had neglected her on purpose today, along with, if he understood things properly, Jay and Addie leaving her to her own devices. Maybe him brushing her aside had just been that last drop. Oh well. He could technically just leave it be, because she was going to come to him herself when she was about to lose control next time, so why did part of him want to smooth things over and make her feel better about herself? Going soft, Drake? He asked himself, truly wondering. On that thought, he glanced at Lulu and Jackie-boy. The girl he was probably falling for looked like she was trying her hardest to drown herself in Jack D, and it made him inwardly smile.

He couldn’t help it, really, the thought was just funny. As long as she didn’t hurt herself. In fact, maybe she shouldn’t get drunk already. She had only just started getting better after her power hangover along with the whole Cor/Jay deal, and he worried that the alcohol would make things worse. Again with the worrying. What was with him turning into a pussy like that?

Leo couldn't calm down, no matter what Amy was trying to say to him. How could he clam down, walking in on his girlfriend collapsed on the floor like that? His pregnant girlfriend! She wasn't fine - that was evident. There was no way that she was going to be able to convince him that she was okay, unless she got up and started doing the cha-cha slide, or some other crazy dance. He didn't want to calm down; he didn't really think that he could, anyway. She couldn't ask that of him. He wasn't as calm and collected as she was, especially when it came to something, or someone, that he cared about dearly. He was completely the opposite, in fact. Panicked, definitely. He tried to suppress it as much as he could, looking her straight in the eyes instead of letting them frantically search her body, and lowering the pitch of his voice when he spoke from a squeaky mouse, to his normal tone.

However, his eyes widened again when Amy told him that he believed the baby was feeding off of her powers. What? It was... the baby, his child, that was doing this to his beloved girlfriend? She was right; it did sound bad. He didn't like the sound of that at all, and he would definitely make sure that she didn't have to use her powers again, unless it was a dire emergency, until... the baby was born. He didn't want her doing anything at the moment, anything that would cause her to end up like this again. Would she be able to carry on with her teaching? Her nursing duties? He wasn't sure - the immortal teacher knew that his stubborn girlfriend would want to carry on as normal, and wouldn't listen to his protesting against it, but he believed it would be best for her, and their... child, a word he still had trouble thinking about, if she stayed as relaxed as possible.

Then, another thought came into his mind; how in the hell had she come to be like this? Had there been an injured student? Someone who had been seriously hurt, so badly that it had caused Amy to end up like this? Just as he was about to ask her about it, however, Amy started explaining the situation to him. Chris? She had put herself in this situation, because of Chris? What the hell were your thinking, Amy? How could you let yourself end up like this? You shouldn't have pushed yourself so far... All of these things bounced around Leo's mind, words he wanted to say out loud to her, but words that he suppressed. He wasn't going to upset her in this state - there was no way that he was going to add any more stress and worry to the woman that he loved. So, he just shook his head, and slowly moved so that he could pick his girlfriend up bridal style.

"Amy..." He sighed, wrapping his arms around her tight enough so that she wouldn't fall, "I understand." He told her, pressing his lips softly to her forehead, before making his way towards the bedroom in his apartment. "It's your nature to help people; just please, promise me something? Please, don't push yourself this far again. For me? And... for... the baby." He stammered out, laying her down gently on his bed, a comfortable place for her to rest; it had to be more comfortable than the floor, anyway. He then sat down next to her, on the edge of the bed, taking her hand into his. He linked their fingers together, hating the fact that she barely had the energy to even talk to him at the moment. "Promise?"

As he held out the kebab stick for Lulu, Jackson watched her, smiling as she took a bite. She did it... quite erotically, surprisingly. It confused him to begin with; why was she doing that? There was no-one around, in particular Drake, that she would be doing that for- only him. However, it soon dawned on him that her eyes kept darting over towards the male, hoping he was watching, hoping that he was getting jealous of the two of them being together. The male held back a sigh, and forced that smile to stay on his face as she complimented the food, savouring the delicious tastes of the spices of the chicken.

Jack laughed softly when Lu said that there was nothing better than Jack Daniels; the comment seemed false when she was holding that bottle of rum so close to her heart. He knew that her favourite drink was rum, and she didn't have to make him feel any better about the situation that they were in, the situation that she didn't know about, by lying to him about the joys of Jack, the drink that his father had named him after. Stupid Irish man. Maybe that was why it was his drink of choice. As Lulu walked away, saying something about him being good to her, the male had to admit in his mind, that he really was. The reason behind that of course was his unrequited affection towards her, but she didn't know that. To her, he was probably just that friend who she could trust. The friend who would always be just that; her friend.

It took him a moment to register that she had returned, and was holding out a plastic cup filled with a shot of whiskey for him. He clinked the cup next to hers with a smile, "Who's better." He repeated, before downing the drink. He was usually one for savouring his drink, especially Jack Daniels, taking his time with the alcohol and letting it warm his stomach progressively. However, this was not going to be one of those time, was it? He was standing with the girl that his heart was devoted to, and every other second, her eyes were darting over towards a man who was playing around with her heart. Someone who wouldn't treat her right, someone who would end up hurting her, even if he didn't mean to.

He hated people who got intentionally drunk. There was no point in it, getting so paralytic that you forget how good the night was before, was there? Jackson only usually had enough alcohol to get him to his "merry Irish" point, where his Irish drawl became thicker, his smile became wider, and he just felt happy. And with the amount of alcohol that he had already drunk tonight, he was at that point. However, the happiness was being overshadowed by another feeling of just that; being overshadowed. "No-one's going to hate your guts, Lu." He sighed, putting down the cup, feeling as if this was going to be defining moment. He couldn't stand here any more with her, knowing that she was only half in the conversation, her eyes definitely searching elsewhere.

"Lu, I can't. I.... can't do... this, any more. I can't." Jackson began, running a hand through his messy hair. "I can't stand here pretending it's okay, that I like talking to you when I know all you want to be doing is talking to him. Your comment earlier, about me being better to you than anyone else - you know that's true. You know that he's just going to end up hurting you, and you still want him. That kills me, Lulu." Jackson paused for a moment in his admittance, and pressed his lips to her forehead, before letting his arm around her go loose and stepping away. "I care about you more than you'll ever know or appreciate, Lulu. I always have, and always will. You're beautiful, kind hearted, and the most amazing person that I have ever met; and you deserve so much better than... him." The male sighed again and took the moment to look into her eyes, his voice sincere and quiet. "I'm in love with you, Lulu."

However, before anything more could be said, McKenna arrived, interrupting the mood that he had set between himself and Lulu. He turned to look away from the woman whom he had just declared his love for and smiled softly towards McKenna. She was a good friend of his, someone who he liked to talk to occasionally, but he was not in the mood to talk to her after the conversation that he had just had. "Thank you, McKenna. You look very nice, and I hope you enjoy your night. I must excuse myself now, I apologize. Lulu, I hope you find someone to fix your door." The Irish man nodded at both of the women and then turned on his heel and and left, not want to wait around to see how his words had affected her. Instead, he was already regretting his decision, and wanted to take everything he had just said back, go back in time and stop himself from saying it. But, it was over now. It was finished. His friendship with Lulu would never be the same again, and he had just admitted his biggest secret to her - something he hadn't wanted to tell her, but it had finally just blurted out.

Well done, Jack. You've just ruined the best thing you ever had.

Max Henderson was definitely not the easiest person to hide things from, that was for sure. And it wasn't just the fact that he could feel your emotions, either. The way that he could read body language and facial expression also helped him learn how people were feeling, helping him get through in this pain filled world. It was obvious to anyone with a brain that Corentine was upset, or at least angry, by the way that she was sitting, and the glares that were exhibited on her face, direction towards one male in the room in particular. He watched as she copied the moves that he had perfected over the years, downing shot after shot to try and null the emotions that were trying to take her over. That, he had picked up, just because it was his trademark move. His line of view was blocked momentarily by the stunning body of Esme pushing it's way between the two of them, but he decided to ignore her, just as she was going to do to him.

He took a second to watch her ass as she walked away, appreciating the body that he had run his hands over many a time, the ass that he had cupped as she bounced ... yeah, you get the picture. A smirk appeared on the male's lips as he downed the rest of his drink and waved his hand in a short movement, summoning over the bartender. "I'll have whatever she's having." He commented, gesturing over to Corentine - whatever she was drinking seemed to be working on her emotions, dulling them down to the point where she was beginning to loosen up slightly, a feeling that he wanted to know as well. He finished the whiskey quickly before the new drinks were soon placed in front of him and he copied her movements, downing two of them straight away, one after the other. The alcohol was a lot stronger than the vodka and whiskey that he had been drinking, and it hit him with a powerful punch.

Then, Max's hand was wandering up Corentine's bare thigh, his own excitement at where this was going to lead growing. The alcohol was quickly removing any other emotions that had been growing in his mind, dulling them down to a soft droning that he was slowly learning to ignore. A wave of sadness suddenly hit him and he downed another one of the shots, which quickly dulled the emotion down to a small whine. This stuff was good, he had to admit that. Nice work, Miss Quellen. Somehow, their bar-stools had been moved closer together, and it was now easy for Corentine to lean forward. The combined feeling of her lips nipping at his ear seductively, and her hand trailing it's way down his body caused a shiver to make it's way down the male's spine, his body responding to hers almost instantly.

The blunt answer that came out of her mouth almost made the male chuckle, and he down the last couple of his shots after she had leaned back. He followed her line of gaze as she turned, watching the male that she was so upset about walking out with one of his own usual fucks, and he could almost feel that wall of emotions that she was holding up so well, collapse to the ground. So, instead of letting that happen, the male got down from his seat and walked around behind her, holding out his hand for her to take. His lips came to rest against her ear as his deep, sultry voice whispered, "now that, I can help you with," before he softly nipped at the skin below her ear. "Care to follow me up to my room?"

"No-one's going to hate your guts, Lu," Jack sighed in response to her words. Lulu bit into the lip of her plastic cup at his tone, her eyes immediately locking in on her closest and dearest friend. Here he was, the host of the party, and suddenly he looked virtually miserable. It made her mind go back to when she’d visited him for his father’s funeral, when he’d had this front that he put on for most people but then the moment she arrived, he’d lash out because he knew he could. Lulu had taken it all, and no matter how often he told her to leave she hadn't.

"Lu, I can't. I.... can't do... this, any more. I can't," Jack told her. He looked immediately flustered and Lulu became silent. Immediately her teasing and flirtatious side disappeared. Despite the buzz she was starting to feel from her drink, she gave him her undivided attention. When he brought a hand through his hair, she swallowed back the tension she was beginning to feel. Something just felt
off.

"I can't stand here pretending it's okay, that I like talking to you when I know all you want to be doing is talking to him. Your comment earlier, about me being better to you than anyone else - you know that's true. You know that he's just going to end up hurting you, and you still want him. That kills me, Lulu,”
he continued. Lulu felt all color flood from her cheeks and immediately she moved to wrap her arms completely around her chest, bracing herself. He was sounding just like Jaysin. He was sounding like the conscience in the back of her mind that kept kicking her for feeling what she felt for Drake, the playboy who had every girl wrapped around his finger, who just like his sister slept around more than any guy on campus. And as she licked her lips and inhaled a breath she hadn’t known she was holding, Lulu had to admit silently that part of what he was saying was right.

But then another side of her kicked in, the sorry sappy girl who firmly believed that Drake was somewhat different around her. Lulu had to admit, the argument was losing ground.

"I care about you more than you'll ever know or appreciate, Lulu. I always have, and always will. You're beautiful, kind hearted, and the most amazing person that I have ever met; and you deserve so much better than... him," Jack concluded. He exhaled deeply again and Lulu blinked back her desire to just wilt in front of him. Him was all Jackson had to say to refer to Drake. It made her avert her eyes momentarily to the ground, her arms tightening across her bust to hide the v neck of her shirt as she grew more uncomfortable. Exposed. Part of her didn’t believe what he was saying – that she was beautiful, that she was amazing. He had pushed her away so many times. And then it came and hit her harder than a wrecking ball. "I'm in love with you, Lulu,” Jackson admitted. Lulu dropped the cup she had been holding, the residual Pepsi and Jack Daniels splashing into the grass. Her arms fell from where they had been constricted around herself and she looked at him, eyes wide, and just absolutely floored. She had to brace herself on the table to keep her knees from buckling. Lulu opened her mouth to say something but she found her voice completely absent and replaced by a far more bubbly tone.

"Good evening, Lulu, Jackson... You look nice tonight, Lulu, and you as well Jacks--" McKenna smiled, her voice chirpy and cutting the tension but only making the situation all the more awkward. Jackson’s arm slid away from Lulu entirely as McKenna caught sight of his gesture. "I...Hope I'm not interrupting something,” the girl apologized. Lulu shook her head and pursed her lips, forcing a weak smile but find herself floundering for words.

"I just wanted to say this is a great party you have put together..." McKenna thanked Jackson. She bit her lip as the awkwardness seemed to grow. Lulu stared only at Jackson, still doe eyed, still at a complete loss for words.

"Thank you, McKenna. You look very nice, and I hope you enjoy your night,” Jackson replied. He was courteous and put together, his words sincere despite the way he looked at Lulu, the way in which there was almost a hint of pity and soreness.

“I must excuse myself now, I apologize. Lulu, I hope you find someone to fix your door,"
Jackson added. With a nod of his head he moved away from the two girls, his stride not at all faltering as he fled the wreckage he had left behind.

Lulu may well have been shot. Her lips parted the moment he turned away and she hunched over, wrapping an arm around her stomach. She felt wounded and confused. He had just said that he loved her but the way he’d said it, it sounded almost like
he hated himself for it? And the way he’d talked about Drake, the way he noticed how Lulu acted for the Quellen boy, Jackson made it sound like he was waiting for the train wreck to happen. Worse, Lulu wasn’t sure now if he would be there to help her through it if or when it happened. She inhaled as if she had been held under water, her throat catching with panic.

Lulu had loved him. All throughout her childhood, Jackson had been the one person to tell her that she was special, even when her parents loathed her for being powerless and especially when her brother tormented her. He had seen past the bruises and cuts. He had understood the violence and all throughout he had treated her like a princess. Lulu had adored him, and thought of him for so long as a close friend but as something more. When Jackson had moved away from Clinton, it had been earth shattering. Not long later Grey would try to kill her and she would murder her brother with a curse of misfortune. He had been there for her, coming back for the funeral, but he’d left again and she’d been on her own, exploited by her parents to earn them money before finally going to Noctrem on their insistence. She had tried to get into Arcana, or a school with Jackson, but it never happened. Then he had met Beth and then he’d had a child with her. With the birth of his daughter, she had never thought of him in the same way. If he had had a child with this other woman, left her when she needed him most, he clearly didn’t think of her that way. It had been crushing but she’d left that behind and now this
just a few months after the schools merged he claimed he loved her when she had given up on that, on seeing him as more. She had developed her friendship with Drake precisely because she had had no one else. And now Jackson hated her for it, or so it seemed to her.

She was devastated.

Lulu glanced over at the table, where his bottle of Jack Daniels remained beside the bottle of aged rum Drake had gifted her. It made her close her eyes and sigh but the exhale came out as more of a shudder.

“I’m sorry McKenna. I have to go,” she murmured. The blond reached over for the two bottles. Taking one in each hand she moved to flee the venue entirely. She couldn’t be there when he was there. When both of them were there. Rather quickly she found herself pushing through crowds and back into the school. She didn’t realize it but she was starting to hyperventilate by the time she was back at the opened doorway to her dorm. She looked inside at the wreckage and the sight made her lean into the wall and slide to the floor right outside. The tears started but they came silently as she forced herself to breath. Her only solace was the bottle in her hands and she couldn’t kid herself. She didn’t want to feel what she was feeling and the quickest way to get drunk, and beyond it, was to drink the rum with a higher alcohol content. She pulled the cap off of Drake’s rum and pulled the bottle to her lips. Without thinking twice Lulu tilted her head back and let it come. She always seemed to end up alone, she thought sullenly. Jack had admitted that he loved her and yet he'd left immediately after. His voice, the way he'd said it, like it pained him. It made her wince. Perhaps that was the most upsetting thing and she hated herself for making him feel that way. She hated herself plain and simple. It made her feel like Grey and her parents and even Cor were right when they called her a worthless piece of crap.

Amy could practically see the wheels turning in Leo’s head as she explained how she’d ended up in the condition he’d found her in, weak and tired, curled up on the floor. By the look on his face, Amy almost expected him to tell her off for being stupid, and more than that, she worried he’d blow up and take it out on Chris. Fortunately, however, Leo was better than that and instead just moved to pick her up. Once in his arms, Amy closed her eyes, sighing softly. Her head came to rest upon his shoulder as she finally relaxed, breathing in his scent and revelling in his heat. It felt good to be back in his arms like this considering the day she’d had. Things had been intense, and her head felt like it was about to blow. The day she’d had, well, she couldn’t think of days worse than this. She hated arguing with Leo as it was, so adding everything else to the list, the only positive thing to tell of, was meeting Chris again. Which had also resulted in her tapping herself out. She also knew that the blame for most of it, was on her shoulders, so she didn’t want a pity party. She just wanted to fall asleep in Leo’s arms and wake up a new day.

When Leo began talking finally, his arms tightening around her, Amy smiled weakly, loving him so much for not freaking out at her, loving him for knowing exactly what she needed; him, with her. She could feel when he began walking and figured he was either taking her to his couch, or to the bedroom. Most likely the bedroom since he probably knew she wouldn’t be awake for much longer, and the bed was by far more comfortable. She’d just slept three hours in a chair; a bed sounded like heaven to the young nurse. When he mentioned their baby, Amy’s violet eyes fluttered open. Was he on board? He wanted it too? Her eyes slowly looked over his face, attempting to read him. She thought maybe part of him did want to become a father, but she could also tell he was terrified of the idea. She thought maybe both the responsibility, but also the fact of the baby growing up and dying before him, was what pushed down on his shoulders presently. It worried her if she had to be honest, because she knew Leo would make an amazing, albeit slightly over protective father.

Soon, the brunette was placed on the bed, Leo sitting down on the edge next to her. A slight sigh of comfort escaped her as softness enveloped her, encasing her delicate body. The pillow below her head was heaven on earth. Her gaze sought out the man she loved, not able to stop looking at him now that she had started. She wanted to reply to him, but she had a feeling he wasn’t quite done talking, and she didn’t exactly have energy to waste as it was, so instead she watched him, waiting for him to finish saying what he needed to say. Another weak smile came onto her lips when he linked their fingers, that slight tingle of electricity still there despite her own fatigue. That amazed her, honestly. Then Leo asked her again, ”promise?”, and she nodded slowly, not quite sure what to say. He had surprised her a little by remaining calm. And she didn’t want to lose the baby either. Plus, Leo had asked her to take better care of herself, so though she had no clue where her limits here currently, she still couldn’t say no.

“I’ll try,” she said softly, looking up at him, breathing pattern heavy and a little laboured. “Just need to get used to my powers not being quite as
resourceful as usual.” With that, she offered another half smile, squeezing his hand weakly. “Baby, you need to go get some food. You haven’t eaten all day.” She said it mostly to get focus off of her, and also because he did indeed need to eat. There was no way she was going to be able to keep anything down currently herself, but that didn’t mean he shouldn’t eat. Almost on second thought, Amy added, “then afterwards, could you maybe join me down here? Cuddling sounds amazing right now.” Admittedly, Amy’s voice was still weak and she knew she sounded completely off, but at least she was talking. That was better than nothing, right? All she knew was that she definitely needed to go to sleep early, and she didn’t want to sleep alone. Or
at least she didn’t want to lie in bed alone. Besides, she felt like after all the two had been through, they needed to mend things somehow. On top of that, the young teacher just felt like curling up in Leo’s arms.

Cor didn’t miss the fact that Max’s gaze was directed at the same pair hers were. She knew he’d probably figured almost everything out now, aside from the details. He probably had the series of events lined out in his head right now, and he was probably right about all of his calculations. Somehow it only bothered Cor more that it had been Esme of all people Jay had chosen to head off with. She had never been more grateful for alcohol, because this thing with Jay
was breaking her. Not just her heart, but her as a whole. It felt like he was hammering at her, trying to break her into little pieces, and he was so damned close. The blonde had a feeling this was it between them. They had both gone so far; hurt each other so much, that they couldn’t go back. They just couldn’t, no matter how much she loved him. The thing was she only just realized that fact this exact moment. Watching Jay leave with Esme made Corentine realize exactly how messed up and lost things were, so she might as well stop fighting.

On that exact note, Cor’s purpose in being with Max, changed. She didn’t want to hurt Jay, she didn’t want revenge
she just wanted to feel better. She just wanted to pull herself back from breaking point and last time she had done that in two ways; screwing around like a whore, and spending a whole lot of time with Elijah. Of course that had only worked after her big breakdown, one she was desperate to avoid this time. Getting over Jay was a hell she didn’t want to go through, but even the stubborn bitch that she was, could recognize that it was time to throw in the towel. Jay didn’t want her and her alone. He wanted her
and a lot of others, and Cor just couldn’t live with that. She’d never be able to accept him looking at others like that, knowing that he’d love to be with them. One thing was for your boyfriend to look at others with appreciation, that made sense – she wasn’t going to stop looking at others either, but Cor knew how to read Jay, and the way he looked at Esme for instance, or Lulu, or Addie
she could tell it was more. That was what scared her shitless.

She took a deep breath after a little while, once the two had turned a corner and were out of sight. Her heart was pounding out of control and her breathing pattern was slightly uneven, so she was rather frazzled when Max’s heady, seductive voice sounded right by her ear, accompanied by the feeling of lips she had kissed many times. She hadn’t even noticed him moving from his barstool at her side, so her head moved swiftly to look at him, her eyes looking into his, light blue against dark blue. Her lips were slightly parted until her brain registered who was in front of her, at which point his lips were nipping on the skin bellow her ear, a very sensitive area to the blonde. She took a deep breath, biting down on her lower lip. Max was definitely the right person for her to go to, she decided as she looked up at him, her hand moving into his almost by itself. In the same movement, Cor slip down from her stool, her body almost gliding against Max’s due to the proximity.

Then the blonde placed her free hand on Max’s chest, slowly beginning to walk and push him at the same time, in the direction of the stairs that’d take them upstairs to the living quarters
more specifically the teachers’ quarters. She wasn’t actually allowed to be in there, but who cared? It wasn’t like Leo was going to do jack about it. Cor hadn’t spoken a word, mostly because she didn’t trust her own voice not to break if she did. She was worried speaking even a little would set about the second break down of her life. And in front of Max? Hell no. This vulnerability he’d seen tonight so far was plenty in her books. Rather Max than some others, sure, but if she was going to cry, she was definitely going to make sure she was alone. As she moved, she noticed Erin storming off, away from Drake, out of the corner of her eye, but for once Cor wasn’t mentally capable of containing more. Besides, Erin had rid herself of Cor’s friendship just earlier that night.

Rebecca’s day had been a tad too weird for her liking. Generally all this moving around and insecurity was getting to her, nerves standing on end. She didn’t like it. The assembly earlier had been informal, and a tad worrying as well. As a woman who had been enrolled at first Arcana, then Noctrem, Rebecca had decent knowledge of the school differences, and she could just tell that this whole roommates-mess would be going south way too soon. Leo would’ve been better off changing them, but she supposed time was an issue too. She sighed, steadying the human sized punching ball she had been taking her frustrations out on, hugging it calmly. She’d gone down to the gym after the pop music from the student party going on had come to give her a headache. She wasn’t in a bad mood per se, but she was rather distracted and maybe a tad too pensive. She wasn’t the most social of people so instead of seeking out company, the female teacher had found her way down to her new favorite companion; the punching bag situated in the school gym. The only time she’d really ever find people to be around was Friday evenings.

Why Fridays? Well, those were the days Donny would leave her at her aunt’s to stay the night. Said aunt would always be passed out on the couch, and since she had been old enough to stop herself from being lonely on Fridays, she always had. Just one of the many twitches her brain did due to her past. She watched the red punching bag for a little while, before taking a few steps back, her body falling into that familiar stance; feet positioned about shoulder-width apart, left foot in front of the other, and her hands up near the sides of her face. Then, movements quick and practiced, Rebecca began a series; jab cross, stomp kick, jab cross, roundhouse kick, spinning back kick, jab cross
and so forth. The blonde kept right on going, her ponytail swinging wildly with every move. The teacher’s outfit was starting to absorb the sweat caused by her kickboxing moves and she had already removed the jacket. It wasn’t even a complicated series, but Rebecca recognized that she was a bit out of practice.

That was the thing with kickboxing; it wasn’t something you just did. You had to keep in perfect shape to keep up, and during their stay in the motel, Rebecca’s options had been rather limited. She had taken a run every morning, but she hadn’t been able to get near a decent punching bag, and she small ones boxers usually used would not do for kickboxing. Getting back at it felt amazing. Finally, after another ten minutes of constant jabs and kicks, the blonde, breathing heavily now, stopped, steadying the bag once more, a satisfied grin on her face, her body shining with sweat. “That’ll have to do for tonight,” she mused aloud, patting the punching bag before moving to pick up her jacket and sports bag. Then she padded into the dressing room, quickly washing herself down before throwing on her bikini. She put her hair back up in its ponytail, picked up her things and made her way down to the indoor swimming pool; the one intended for academic usage. Mostly because that was the better one when it came to actual swimming instead of playing around.

Rebecca dropped her things by one of the chairs before taking a swan dive into the pool, her body soon moving in its usual swimming pattern, switching between butterfly, crawl, and backstroke. By now she was so used to her preferred form of exercise that her body had begun remembering the movements by itself, which meant her brain was completely relaxed as her legs and arms brought her back and forth between each far end of the pool. In the morning she figured her mind might finally be ready to do some actual work. Which would be an advantage considering the party going on. If she knew her students, and she did, she was going to have a lot of managing to do. Steven wasn’t going to be happy with her sending so many students his way, but hey, he could take that up with Leo or at least someone who actually cared.

Drake merely took a sip of his whiskey before nodding slightly, his eyes capturing hers, when Ashy began talking, almost starting to lecture her. He didn’t say anything, but really he thought it amusing that the girl considering him and Erin more than friends. They were less than friends. That was the thing. She was a chick he fucked. Why did everyone think that meant he considered the girl a friend? Was that how it worked for everyone, because it didn’t seem that way to Drake. Then again, some were probably lying about the “friends” part. Hell, a lot of people did folks they didn’t even know. Was it then so wrong of him to fuck a girl he knew, but didn’t necessarily care about? Drake didn’t personally think so, but then again, his morality was oftentimes a tad fucked up. Anyway, Ashy trailed of easily enough, the outrage ebbing from her pretty eyes. Ah, sweet success. Sometimes people were a bit too predictable though. Especially little wallflowers like Ashleigh Fox. So easily manipulated by people who had even the slightest idea of what to do. This was child’s play to the male.

Slowly the look in her eyes changed, however, into something Drake recognized quite well. He couldn’t stop a seductive smirk from playing at his lips in response. So when Ashy asked him what he was doing to her, Drake chuckled easily, watching the familiar blush creep across her face. “Well,” he began, voice a seductive, dark purr, “that depends what you’re thinking of.” With that, he let his eyes do a tour of her body, just for effect, his smile growing once he reached her eyes again. At this point, the blonde dropped her gaze and Drake took the time to take a sip of his whiskey, feeling it glide its way down like silk. When the blonde looked back up, Drake smiled wryly. It was just too funny. She was going to check on Erin was she? Because Erin was her responsibility? That was bloody hilarious. “Well, you do need it,” Drake teased when Ashy asked him to wish her luck on handling his sister and Erin, especially if the two were going to be at odds now. Suddenly Drake felt happy to be in a different House.

Drake’s eyes had turned to watching the scene between Lulu and Jackson when he felt someone take his drink from his hand. Eyebrows raised, he turned his gaze to the thief; Ashy. Who
was actually taking a sip, probably mostly as a demonstrative gesture, because she sure didn’t look like she was enjoying it
considering the minimal sip she had taken. So when she commented, he laughed. He had to say the move surprised him a little, which only made it funnier. Of course on top of the fact that she looked like a stubborn child trying to take a stand with a parent because she wasn’t getting her way and wanted to be more “grown up”. “If that’s your point,” he countered easily, teasing her again, “you should probably drink the whole thing.” She quickly made her excuses after that and hurried away from him, more or less running off. He laughed again, not able to help himself. It was simply too precious. He watched her walk for a little bit before remembering Lulu and Jackson. The two had seemed quite tense for a bit there. Lulu looking uncomfortable, Jackson looking miserable. Now Lulu was leaving McKenna.

What the hell? Was everyone going to be miserable messes today? His sister, Erin, Jackson and Lulu, and he’d briefly noted Zac storming off, leaving a very drunk Mo. Well, Max was managing his sister, apparently, Ashy was going to try and deal with Erin, he could tell Alli was with Mo, but that was it. Jackson was off to himself and probably wanted to stay that way right now, and Lulu
 well
he let his dark eyes follow her, and quickly gathered she was heading upstairs
with both Jack D and his rum. Someone wanted to get pissed, huh? She wasn’t getting drunk alone, he soon decided. He actually wanted her company back, and he was growing curious as to what had just happened. The male took his time drinking the rest of his whiskey, also giving Lulu the time to calm herself down a bit. Once he finished his drink a while later, Drake put a bit of money on the counter; tips for the bartender, but kept the glass as he followed Lulu’s path to the living quarters. He was counting on her being in her own room, which
probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do when you were drunk, considering how the place had splinters everywhere.

As he made his way to Lulu and Alli’s room, he thought things over. What did he even want with Lulu? With a bit of alcohol comfortably coursing through his blood, he felt his mind clearing somewhat. He knew he wanted Lulu’s company, he knew he wanted to treat her well make sure she didn’t get herself hurt. He also knew that he wanted to kiss her. Badly. Concluding on this, he gathered he was probably pretty into the girl. They were strange emotions that he wasn’t used to, but part of him liked the way it made him feel when he was with Lulu. He ran a hand through his hair just as he turned a corner, making Lulu visible. What was she doing on the floor outside her room? As he got closer yet, his pace picking up, he noticed her crying and surprisingly
it sent a stabbing jolt through his heart. Though that feeling too, was new, Drake knew what it meant; seeing Lulu like this wasn’t something he ever wanted to again. She had his rum practically glued to her lips too.

Instead of saying something though, Drake gently pried the alcohol from her hands when he reached her. He put the bottle and his glass down a little bit away from them and squatted down in front of her before he moved his hands up to brush the blonde hair out of her now moist face. “Lulu, what the hell are you doing?” He asked her, worry shining in his voice, his dark eyes taking on a considerable glint of concern too. He didn’t even care to cover it up; he just wanted the girl in front of him to feel better. Seeing her like this was also hurting him. He had no idea how to deal with any of this, but he was all she had right now, so he’d try. He was a piss poor excuse for a comfort, though, that much he knew, but maybe Lulu’s feeling for him would at least help him a little here. He moved both his thumbs up to wipe away her tears, looking into her eyes. “What happened?” The whole thing was disconcerting, because he had literally never cared when he had seen others crying. Never. Suddenly, just because it was Lulu, his heart was supposed to hurt with every beat?

If this was all there was to caring, why would anyone want it? Were people really slaves to their emotions this way?
