McKenna Marinos

I know I'm not perfect. I get zits, I have bad hair days, I say the wrong things at the wrong times. But what's life without small slip ups here and there? We wouldn't have any stories to tell!

a character in “The Arcana Academy”, as played by ChaosxChild13

Description

Image
Full Name: McKenna Fae Marinos
Nicknames: Fae, Kenna, [Childhood nickname: Mickey]
Age: 18, ALMOST Nineteen
Birthdate: June 24th, 1994
Home Town:I was born and raised a little town called Jupiter, California. It’s way off the map, and when people say “Where you from?” I can just say Jupiter. People think I’m a bit of a loony though.
Sexuality:”Lesbian, with birelational tendencies… Is that just bisexual then? But what if I prefer women MORE?” Bisexual

School: Arcana.
Why Arcana? I don’t know, my Aunt Lily sent me. I think it’s super fun though! So many cool people…Although, some of the girls do scare me a bit. I’m afraid I don’t fit in very well with the rest of them. They’ve all been here for quite some time, and I just got here…

Power: Molecular Regeneration: I can repair myself after being wounded. When I first started this, it took me a long time, and I was in a lot of pain, literally exhausted from it. But I started to get better at it as time went on. Another fantastic thing about my power is that I can also transfer my wounds to the opponent.

Downside? If I’m decapitated, I doubt my body will regenerate a new head for me. Plus, not only that, but if I take a serious brain damaging hit, my body might repair itself, but nerve connections and such might be rewired differently, causing my personality, or even sense of self to change completely. Yes, my power comes with a lot of down falls. Bummer. Just have to be careful, I guess. Oh, and the whole transference thing? Well, that’s only happened when I’m really angry… I don’t really know how to do it on a regular basis.

Personality:

Ok, my brain moves pretty fast, and I'm going to spit out as much as I can, but I will try to stay as focused as possible... SOOO Here we go!

In the classroom I'm pretty quiet, I can't help I love to learn. But outside the classroom I am pretty fun I guess. I'm not really into the whole smoking, but I love to have a few shots at a party. I love being outside. I am a vegetarian of four years. My brain’s always going a thousand miles an hour, so I can never really keep on track. Even with that, I’m still an excellent student. I love to learn about new things, especially Philosophy and History, those are my two favorite subjects.

Anyways, enough about school! I absolutely adore animals, and I have been volunteering with a pet adoption called Almost Home for four years now. I am normally caught daydreaming in my spare time to be honest. I do love to party, but I also love to be alone. I love being in a library with books stacked high, kids got detention in school, I get my book taken away for reading in class. Haha, nerd problems, right?

Before I came here to Arcana, I worked at an afterschool daycare near my house. I guess you could say I’m pretty childish, and people say I see things through rose colored glasses, but I know how to focus when I get down to work. It wasn’t always the case though, me being spunky and all that jazz. I try to be friends with everyone, sometimes it just doesn't work out, some people think I'm too spunky, and some even call me fake. I try not to be "fake", I just can't help that I get excited about the little things. It's part of who I am, when you grew up in an orphanage with practically nothing, you learn to accept the little things that come your way. I can talk for hours and hours, but normally my thoughts trail off and sometimes I make connections to things that don't really make sense to other people.

A lot of people have called me "adorable" and to be honest, I hate that word, it makes me feel like a little kid. And I know I act like it sometimes, but I don't want to be seen as just "adorable". I'm a whole lot more than just eight letters!

I'm a bit quirky, nerdy, and I know I'm not perfect. I get zits, I have bad hair days, I say the wrong things at the wrong times. But what's life without small slip ups here and there? We wouldn't have any stories to tell!.

Likes: Reading, writing, playing guitar, singing, climbing trees, photography dancing [Hip hop, and jazz], playing sports [football, soccer, fencing, archery, I’m also pretty awesome at bowling I guess]. I love puppies, eating [eat eat eat every day!], watching old movies [Y’know, the classics: Casa Blanca, Gone With the Wind, Breakfast Club, Singin' In the Rain...], drawing and taking long walks at night. Doing my nails and going to parties. Long boarding. Musicals [being in them and seeing them [[RENT <3]]] COFFEE!!!! [Phew, that's a lot.]

Dislikes: Unintelligent people, being put down, technology – people who are attached to their phones, I just don’t get that. Go outside, go long boarding, do something! I really dislike confrontation, and being inside for too long. Oh... And I don't tolerate liars.

Fears: Being rejected. Losing my sense of self.

Quirks: I guess I play with my hair a lot, say "old" sayings [Cool beans, bees knees, bummer, bubble-head]. I don't like to swear a lot to be honest, and I love doing my nails, mostly like the water marble kind of deal. I bite my lower lip a lot as well.

History:
See, for a long time I struggled with the fact that I never knew either my dad, or my mother. My mother gave me up for adoption when I was very young. I wanted to know why my parents didn’t want me, why they left me alone to be in an orphanage for so long. By the time I was six, my mother’s sister found me and took me in, her name was Lillian Baker. Of course, Lillian was a great mother, she took care of me, and everything.

I was a clumsy child, and the day I first discovered my power was when I was riding my bike for the first time. Silly, right? Well, it’s true, I was riding my bike, flipped over the handlebars and scraped up my elbows, knees, and even sprained my ankle. The cuts healed almost instantly, which is strange, and my sprained ankle only took two days to heal. But, the funny thing is, a boy was making fun of me at school and I got mad, and all of a sudden his ankle snapped to the right then the left, becoming sprained, my ankle becoming better.

One night, when I was fourteen, Lilly had sat me down, a small box on the kitchen table. She opened it up, bringing out my birth certificate and newspaper articles on my mother’s death – she had been murdered, and the killer had never been found. After that I began to research it, trying to find out more. I would spend hours in my room with the door closed. Aunt Lilly thought that I was becoming obsessive, and for some time I was. I wanted whoever it was that killed my mother dead. I wanted to know who my father was. One night, I became depressed, burned all the newspaper articles, all the ancestor reports, and everything. That’s when Aunt Lily decided to send me to Arcana Academy. I don’t know if I belong with any of the students at Arcana, but what I do know is that everything happens for a reason, so I have to be here for something greater.

So begins...

McKenna Marinos

McKenna had woke up at four am and had taken a long walk through the woods. She resided outside the school, listening to nature as it awoke from its peaceful night slumber. But something else gets in the way of her enjoying natures sounds when she hears a bus screech and she sighs, the Noctrem students had arrived... A pit grew in McKenna's stomach and she began to feel extremely nervous. She didn't feel like being bullied, or pushed around... The Noctrem students scared her. Especially the girl students. They were like Mean Girls, on steroids... McKenna folds up her notebook, placing it in her bag and heading towards the cafeteria, she needed some food in her stomach. But something stopped her, the roommate listing. Some of the Noctrem, and also Arcana students had already begun to find their roommates, some pleased, others weren't.

"Do I dare look at it?" She asks herself, and bustles her way towards the front with Excuse me, Pardon me...

Her heart drops when she sees the name in bold print next to hers:

Room Five: McKenna Marinos and Jade Locke.

Oh dear... McKenna's eyes widen with terror and she backs up a bit, walking quickly to the cafeteria. Swinging open the cafeteria doors she begins to pile her plate with food -- for McKenna was a bit of a stress eater.

Four pancakes, three sausage links, a muffin, a bowl of fruit, and a cup of tea.

McKenna took her food outside and sat outside underneath a tree. She begins to eat and sighs, she pulls out the picture from the back of her notebook -- it was paper clipped to the very back page -- and unfolds it, the corners were slightly torn, the creases were worn in. She traced her mothers face with her finger, and then stared at the man, happily smiling, arms wrapped around her and she feels her smile fade a bit.

But she had almost no doubts in her mind that it was him... Her father... Maybe Aunt Lily had sent her here for that particular reason. She shakes her head, placing the picture down on her sketch pad and took a sip of her tea.

Maybe she should just keep this a secret for now... Everyone in Arcana was talking about it though, for the most part... Or at least had put some thought into it. She couldn't do that today though...Maybe later... Maybe never...

Addison Lawler

Addi was lost in thought when arms snaked around her waist and Drake's voice made its way to her conscious.

"Mornin' gorgeous," She heard him chuckle and she gives a small smirk, not even turning.

"Well, good morning to you, Drake."

"Nervous?" He asks, his warm breath dances across her neck and she got a little bit of chills, but she shook her head anyway.

Nervous? Of course she wasn't.... Okay, maybe a little. But the crush was juvenile. She knew he was just only curious, never consider dating her to say the least. She'd wanted Drake in her bed since sophomore year... Of course, her and Cor had already become close friends and had a few heavy petting scandals, so having heavy relations with both of the Quellen siblings might be a bit strange.

Without warning, Drake then snatched the cigarette from her, and took a long drag, claiming that since she drank his booze, he had the right to smoke her cigarettes. She chuckles softly, shaking her head, a few pieces of hair falling in her face. She plucks the cigarette from his hands as he took the second drag.

"Didn't mama ever tell you smoking was bad for your health?" She asks, her eyes floating to the side as she turns her head a slight bit towards his, a smirk flickers onto her lips. With a small wiggle of her hips she unlatches herself from Drake's grip and smiles at him with a small wink.

"I'll see ya around, Quellen." She grabs her luggage and flicks the butt of her cigarette then proceeds to walk inside to check the roommate schedule.

She clicks her tongue out of annoyance, "What is this bullshit?" She asks, "They're mixing us with those..." She shakes her head, not even finishing her sentence.

Ellie Carson.

The girl who could read minds. Fuck that... She lets out a sigh, she needed food, and coffee before she could possibly take on the day with all of Leo's brainwashed Goodies.

Kali Rickerson

Kali woke up to her alarm blaring at 6:15 am so she had enough time to take a run, she got dressed in one of her white t-shirts and a pair of black jogging shorts. She went downstairs and outside, it was still early so she didn’t meet anyone on her way out. She stretched for a few minutes before she started her light jog around the school. She was near the end of making it around the building once, her breathing was a bit heavy but she needed to go at least once more around the school, it was what she did every morning so she would stay in shape.

When she was coming to the front of the school she slowed down to a light jog as she saw the Noctrem students coming off the bus. She kept on going until she saw Drake, her thoughts started going as she thought of Drake, with his dark hair…hot body, she let out a sigh. As she got lost in thought she lost her balance tripping right behind Drake “shit” she said out loud, quickly got up and ran off before anyone could say anything to her. Once she made it around to the other side of the building she stopped taking a few breaths “Damnit Kali get it together, you can’t keep doing that whenever you are near him” she thought to herself then looked down to her knees, which now where bleeding. She brushed her knees off and took a few breaths before she continued on jogging though a little bit slower because the fall to the knees.

She knew the roommate list was up but she wasn’t too interested in it, she knew she would meet whoever her roommate was soon enough. She really didn’t have anything against the Noctrem students, yeah some of them can be assholes but she just ignores it. She doesn’t waist her breath on the ones that don’t pay attention to her. She was wondering who her friends got for roommates though, she was hoping one of them would be her roommate but knowing her luck it probably wasn’t going to happen. She just hoped it was someone that like to have a good time, and not always drinking.

She jogged to the back of the school, stopping for a few minutes to catch her breath, she looked around and saw someone sitting by a tree. She jogged a little closer and saw that it was Kenna. She ran quicker over to the girl and smiled “Hey Kenna” she said as she got closer but then noticed the girl looking at what seemed to be a picture. “Oh do you want to be alone? I just saw you over here alone…and wanted to say hi. Oh do you know who you roommate is yet?” she asked deciding to sit down, if Kenna did decided to be alone she would get up and leave. She understood how sometimes there is times that you just wanted to be alone to think. She looked down at her knees, seeing the scrapes she brushed them again with her hands trying to get the blood off them.

Jessica was glad that Morgan had returned the hug; they had only known each other for a month, but Morgan was friendly to her and she seemed like a good laugh, even if she was from Arcana. Jess suspected she was going to get on very well with the Noctrem lot simply because she enjoyed a good party.

She was also glad that Morgan was almost as excited as she was about them becoming room mates. She didn't seem the slightest bit nervous, which was a good thing. A pang of worry hit Jess as Morgan led them to her room What if I'm mean to her when I'm angry? Jess decided she'd try not to be, at all costs. Even if it meant going to find Drake or one of the wind merchants around here. She couldn't hurt the friends she'd made here. At least not intentionally.

Morgan's room had the distinct 'lived in' feel that made Jess smile. She was glad that Morgan wasn't an OCD type. That would have driven her insane. 'I believe we're going to get along just fine dear.' She told her new roomie, as she plonked her stuff down on th- her bed. The room itself was plain but also quite light and airy. To match the students Jess thought comically, smiling at the thought. She was awestruck by the idea she now had a double bed o herself. It was almost a god send after spending so long in that crappy motel.

She saw Morgan smile at her phone as it buzzed with a message, and send a reply back. Jess wondered briefly who it was from. A crush perhaps? But she didn't dwell on it too long. Morgan would tell her in time, she assumed as she began to unpack her things.
Her attention was immediately brought crashing back down to earth when Morgan starting asking about her crushes, and was sat there expectantly waiting for an answer, promising gossip from Ali if she told her. The look of shock that had just entered the young woman face quickly turned into a small smile of disbelief.

'Oh Mo, can I call you that?' She asked quizzically before continuing ' You're so eager for information!' She sighed in mock exasperation before smiling again. 'I wouldn't say I have crushes, just... people I'm really close to.' She smiled wickedly as she put her socks in one of the draws and looked back at Mo. She studied the girl for a second. Her smile was there and she seemed eager... but there was something in her eyes that didn't seem quite right...she didn't seem totally happy.

Mr Marino's voice came over the speakers, making Jess jump out of her skin a little. Apparently there was going to be an assembly. Well that was going to go extremely well. Jess sighed exasperately 'Marino's really does think this is going to work, huh?' She stated to her room mate whilst hanging her clothes up in the closet next to her bed, 'Silly man.' She added.

Jess's mind wandered to Mckenna, her best friend. She hadn't seen her in the reception hall on the arrival. Jess was pretty sure that she would have known about it if Mckenna was around. She'd have been defiantly wrestled to the floor by now. She quickly whipped out her phone, holding it in one hand whilst absent mindedly holiding her tooth brush in other and sent her a quick text.

Hey smellybum! Was pretty disappointed that I didn't get glomped on my way into the school! :p Hope you're okay! Assembly's at ten, I'll see you there? Jess xx

Smiling at the thought of getting a reply from her best friend; Jess headed for the bathroom to put her tooth brush down.

Ashy waited expectantly in the reception area for Freya to arrive. She didn't have anything bad to say about the pairing she decided, Freya was nice enough and Ashy could have done a whole lot worse.

Finally, Freya's blonde hair bobbed over the crowd. Ashy stood back. She decided that she would wait for Freya to come to her, so as to seem too eager to the girl from Noctrem. She saw that Freya was on her phone, Properly making arrangements Ashy thought to herself. She wasn't surprised. The Noctrem lot where known partiers and it wouldn't be a total shock if they wreaked some havoc on the first night that they stayed here.

Ashy smiled as Freya told her it was good to see her. The girl had a way with conversation, Ashy had to give her that.
'it's good to see you too fre-' She started before Scott appeared out of nowhere and kissed Freya square on the lips. Well this was awkward. Ashy scanned the room to see who else had arrived. Is he here yet? She thought to herself, thinking about Ben. The only guy in the entire world that she was happy to listen to for hours and hours on end. She enjoyed his singing and she most certainly enjoyed his quirky side. She gave a small smile at the thought.

Ashy's train of thought was quickly interrupted by Scott breaking his kiss from Freya and addressing the two of them. 'Erm... see you later Scott' She said quietly, shuffling her feet awkwardly and feeling significantly like a third wheel. Suddenly, Ashy felt arms being snaked around her and heard Zac's excited voice coming from behind her. She turned around to face him, a mock disgruntled look on her face.

'You know it's very rude to butt into a conversation' She said, smiling at him before turning back to Freya. 'Zac, you remember Freya? we're roomates now' She told one the other closest guys her life, before he quickly told her he had to go and rushed off. Leaving Ashy smiling stupidly after him, he made her laugh in a way only a few people had, it was quite refreshing.

She turned back to Freya 'Sorry about him, he's a lunatic... especially when he's with me' She said shyly, before continuing, 'So um, assembly's soon, did you want to show to your room now or later?'

McKenna Marinos

McKenna began indulging herself with the pancakes, and during the middle of her big bite she heard Kali's voice ring out. Embarassed, she looked up slowly, a sheepish smile.

“Hey Kenna!" -- A small pause as Kali's eyes wandered down to her picture, "Oh do you want to be alone?" McKenna shakes her head.

"No, no please sit, it's quite alright." She says, swallowing the pancakes down and wiping her sticky syrup fingers on her napkin.

"I just saw you over here alone…and wanted to say hi. Oh do you know who you roommate is yet?” Kali sat down next to her and McKenna nods, the smile fading from her face.

"Dear, God. When I found out my who my roommate was I almost passed out with fear. It's Jade, y'know Jade Locke? How bout you?" Kenna shudders a bit, Jade and the rest of those girls scared her to all hallabaloo and back.

She was hoping she got to room with Jess, or even Ellie for that matter. But she was stuck with one of the crazy party gals from Noctrem... Oh boy, was this going to be a year to remember. That's for sure. How could Leo even think about mixing them? It was a crazy idea. and that's when Lil came over.

"Hey are you, okay?" Lil had a concerned look on her face and Kenna nods, unwrapping her muffin with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm alright, how're you Lil?" She chirps, "We're just talking about our roommates. I can't believe they're mixing us in with the Noctrem students... That's going to be a devastating disaster and a half... I like using my room to study, not to be a empty trash can for beer bottles and other things. I just would hate to see the poor chick rooming with that Cor girl... Goodness..." She begins to realize she was rambling and takes another bite of pancake, her eyes turning to Kali again, "Did you find out about your roomie yet?"

McKenna pats the grass beside her, offering Lilly a seat. McKenna's old Verizion flip phone buzzed with a text from Jess:

Hey smellybum! Was pretty disappointed that I didn't get glomped on my way into the school! :p Hope you're okay! Assembly's at ten, I'll see you there? Jess xx

Kenna chuckled and replied:

Hey loser. Sorry, I was avoiding you. I CANT be seen with a weirdo like you with these Noctrem students. :P Lol jk, love ya chicky. I'll meet you outside the assembly ten mins before. DO NOT be late. xoxox :)

The girl puts her phone down on her notebook and looks back up, "Sorry guys," She hated texting people in front of others, she found it to be rude, "That was Jess."

She gives a smile and takes another sip of her tea and swallows it, a thoughtful expression on her face.

"Maybe we could talk to Mr. Marinos about the rooming arrangements, ya? He'll understand all the issues that goes along with us rooming with the Noctrem students... Right?" Her voice hinted more than a great amount of hopefulness.

Addison Lawler

Addi grabbed a cup of coffee and a muffin with a sigh, and began walking to her dorm, still grumping about the whole being stuck with the mind reader. It wasn't the fact Ellie was a bad person, it's just Addi thought a lot of terrible things in a day, and she didn't need some bitch to hear every last one of her thoughts down to the punctuation mark. Leo's voice is heard over the intercom, something about an assembly? Whatever, she doubted half the Noctrem students were going to go anyway... Or show up stoned, or even drunk.

The good thing though was, as she had noticed before, there were a ton of different hideaways in Arcana, much like Noctrem had. She sighed quietly, shaking her head as she dragged her luggage towards the dorms.

Room One: Eleanor Carson and Addison Lawler

The print was ingrained in her mind as she wandered down the halls towards Room One.

She let out a grumble as she got to the room and busted open the door, not caring if anyone was in there or not. She dropped her stuff on the empty bed near the window. Addi begins to unpack her clothes and such, then takes her fresh pack of cigarettes and puts it in the back pocket of her skinny jeans and shrugs on her black leather jacket. She finishes unpacking, putting her luggage and suit case underneath her bed and sighs, walking back out.

She would definitely have to go over some ground rules before Ellie and her started living together.

Now, time to find something to do around here...

But what?

She could go wander around campus for a bit, or go see people...

Wandering around campus seemed to be a better idea, Addi wasn't much of a people person anyway. With a shrug she closes the door to her room and walks back outside. The thought of Jay kind of consumed her brain for a slight moment then faded. Addison knew that for a fact Jay most likely wasn't interested. But whatever, she wasn't one to go after someone, plus the fact that he didn't ever seem really interested. She'd endured the feelings though. Romance wasn't really Addi's thing... No... She sighs busting out another cigarette and lighting it quickly, inhaling and then exhaling slowly. She sees three Arcana students sitting under a tree, one of them was what...McKenna, and... that flower girl it was something like Lilly or whatever, and...Kayla, or whatever the fuck her name was... She didn't care to get to know them at all to be honest. She just wanted out of this goddamn school and back to Noctrem. At least things were in order there, there was a skeleton of social status, but now being thrown into this, it was ridiculous. She knew her closest friends from Noctrem -- Cor, Jade, Hulk, and Bells -- were going to scare the living shit out of most of Leo's loyal's for the most part. But she couldn't really picture any scenario where the Noctrem and Arcana students mingled smoothly with no corruption of the social system.

Shit, things were going to be rickety for a while.

Kali Rickerson

Kali sat there, smiling when Kenna said she could stay. She fiddled with her hair as she sat there and noticed Kenna shudder when the girl answered her question about the roommates "Dear, God. When I found out my who my roommate was I almost passed out with fear. It's Jade, y'know Jade Locke? How bout you?"

Kali shook her head “Yeah I know who Jade is….if she causes problems you can always come chill in my room. Oh and guess what I just did…I pretty much tripped and face planted right by Drake when I was running…I don’t know what it is about him that gets to me” she sighed a little then continued to answer Kenna’s question “I don’t know who my roommate is, I just hope its no one that is a party animal..but most of them are. But eh I will have to check who it is soon, I have to take a shower soon I just got done my run and I am sort of sweaty” she laughed and leaned back against her arms on the grass. She loved it outside and wished she could be outside all the time.

"Hey are you, okay?" Kali looked up when she heard Lil’s voice and smiled to her “Hey Lil hows it going?” she then looked to Kenna when the girl started talking again.
"We're just talking about our roommates. I can't believe they're mixing us in with the Noctrem students... That's going to be a devastating disaster and a half... I like using my room to study, not to be a empty trash can for beer bottles and other things. I just would hate to see the poor chick rooming with that Cor girl... Goodness..."

Kali still couldn’t believe the mix up of noctrem and Arcana students..where they wanting this to turn into world war three? “Lets just say this year is going to be interesting…and I have a feeling we are going to see more fights here then we ever had here. I don’t mind the Noctrem students…yeah they are bitchy and party animals but all we can really do is go with the flow. And for the bitch squad I just stay out of their path. This is how things are going to be now. We just let them do their thing and we do ours. Anyways….” she then noticed Kenna get a text and that reminded her she still needed to find L and Eden. While Kenna was texting she decided to quickly send both of them a text.

Pulling out her phone she quickly typed out a text to L:

L! Wake up! Where are ya girl! N and A students are rooming together.

After she sent that text she quickly wrote another though this time to Eden:

Hey you. Where are you? Are you awake?

After she was done texting her two friends she looked up to Kenna and saw the thoughtful look in her face “what are you thinking Kenna?” and just as she asked she heard the girl answer her "Maybe we could talk to Mr. Marinos about the rooming arrangements, ya? He'll understand all the issues that goes along with us rooming with the Noctrem students... Right?"

“Erm maybe though not so sure…I mean this is Mr. Marinos where talking about…he musta did this for a reason or something. What that reason is I don’t freaken have a clue…but it better be a good one.”

Arcana....home of the hippies. Inside, Jade knew that there was no way in hell that anything was going to keep her from going insane here, surrounded by all the goody-two-shoes whose gifts were wasted on them. And with her head currently throbbing with a hangover, Jade wasn't exactly the nicest person to be around at the moment, not that she ever was. Jade was normally unpleasant, but a hungover jade was a disaster waiting to happen if you were stupid enough to talk to her.

Walking up, she didn't even care who she was roomed with, but, wanting to at least know which room she was in, she looked at the list anyway. When she saw she was going to be rooming with McKenna Marinos, she rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth. The girl better hope there weren't any sharp objects lying around. With a sigh, Jade pushed her way out of the crowd, apparently knocking a few people over before she caught site of Erin and Cor. Her eyes wandered a bit and there was Addi. Deciding one voice besides her own would be enough, she moved towards Addi. "Hey there sexy..."She said, throwing her arm over the girl. "We ready to raise a little hell?" She said, obviously referring to Cain's previous words from on th bus. A smirk passed her lips as she looked up at the building. Even in her dejected state, Jade was always one for having a good time. And now that they were living in a school for the clean-cuts of the freak world, the opportunities were sky-rocketing. They, the "fearsome five" as Addi liked to call it, would bring this school to it's knees.

"Wasn't it your idea to drink our weight's worth in alcohol last night? If so, I'm shunning you." She smirked over at the girl as her head pulsed and throbbed. Too bad her whole...telekinetic thing didnt allow her to move her headache out of her mind. Now that would be a pretty kickass power.

"So...should we head in through the gates of hell now? Or...wait it out and push off our impending, completely undeserved punishment until later?" She raised her eyebrows at the girl. Jade had already decided one thing on the bus. During their time here, she was going to at least try to bring some of these goody-goodies to the dark side. They might not have cookies, but they do have alcohol, drugs, and joints. And hey, what could be better than that?

Hearing a loud, booming voice come over the speakers, Jade closed her eyes and grinded her teeth once more. "Fucking prick." She glared out at nothing and was cursing Leo to hell with a long line of multiple obscene profanities in her mind.

As she was walking away, Lora was attack-hugged by someone. Hearing Drake's voice, she smiled and wrapped her arms around him. A feeling arose deep in the pit of her stomach, but she pushed it down. No. That was not happening. Not with Drake. She'd known him too long for her to start feeling like that. He was one of her best friends, and those...feelings would only complicate things.

She couldnt help but chuckle at his words. "I dont think so..." She gasped, feigning shock. "Maybe you're shrinking!" She smirked at him. To be honest, he definitely hadn't shrunk since they'd first met. Everything about him was different, and....nevermind. Mentally kicking herself, she put on a pouty face and looked up at Drake. Yup. He hadn't shrunk. He was taller than her, and she was currently looking up at him, though her eyes did wander...hell.

"So what room are you in? I'm in nine. Rooming with...Erin Hawthorne? I think thats her name. I only just glanced at the list. The crowd was sort of suffocating me."

Looking out across the grounds, Lora jumped when Leo's voice rang out...rather loudly. Letting out a breath she rolled her eyes. "And here I was planning to sneak off...so much for that..." The thought of sneaking off to have some fun brought up old memories from Lora's time in Harrogate, and it was those memories in her mind that caused her smile.

"So...I'm bored. Any ideas?" She looked at him over her shoulder with a smirk all her own.

Kali Rickerson

As Kali was sitting there she ran her hands through the grass and looked at the other two girls. She was lost in thought about her past, thinking of the only two people that she considered them her parents. She then started thinking about what she could do for her next crazy stunt. Her conversation with L the other day got her thinking. They talked about climbing to the roof of the school, which may be a possibility, she definitely needed to converse with L about this, she was thinking L musta slept in or misplaced her phone somewhere because L usually was right by her side most of the time, they had been inseparable since the day the met and became very close friends.

She felt her phone buzz but then got distracted because she heard someone coming closer “Hey girls” Kali looked behind her and saw Julie and smiled “hey you whats up?” she asked the girl. The looked down to her phone remembering she got a text:

Hey Kali. Overslept lol. Nothing unusual. Mary and I are going to see the roommate list. Wonder who I'll get.... Talk to ya soon J

Kali laughed to herself and texted back to Eden:

Ok sounds good. Can you see who I got for a roommate, I have yet to check, I went for my morning run and then ran into Kenna.

After she sent the text she heard Kenna pipe up "Oh well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Maybe they'll be out partying so much they wont' even notice who their roommates are.... Hopefully.. If anything happens though, I won't be afraid to try to talk to him..." Kali nodded in agreement “That is true, some of them aren’t as bad as lets say ‘the fearsome five’ but this is still our school…. We shouldn‘t let that change just because they will be staying here for a bit…hopefully not too long…” as she was about to continue she heard her ringtone for Eden go off “sorry its Eden…excuse me for a few minutes” she then got up and just stepped a few feet away and answered her phone.

Before she could even get a hello in she heard Eden go off "Heeeeeeey Kali. Where are you? I'm being to lazy to look around.. “Hey Eden…you should know whenever looking for me I most likely will be outside but I guess I can help you out…I am out back of the school, come find me. Oh did you get my last text? If your still near the list can you take a look at who my roommate is? I haven’t been over that way yet to take a look. Who did you get?” she was smiling as she talked to Eden, something about him always made her happy and she always enjoyed his company. She wasn’t one that had many guys that where close friends but Eden somehow made his way in to her life.

Bells Dorson

As Bells was waiting for Ms.Wright to talk she felt her phone go off, she took it out of her pocket and looked down, she noticed it was from Benz. She grinned to herself and opened the messaged though she was still focused on Ms. Wright in a way

On my way to get a bite to eat. Om Nom Nom. Maybe even find my roomie on the way. No way in hell we're going to that dumb assembly right?

Bells chuckled, she loved Benz but only in a friendly way, she couldn’t see him any other way then that, her fingers touched the buttons on her iphone, quickly typing back:

fuck the assembly. I don’t want to listen to Marinos voice if I don’t need too. I will meet you in the cafeteria, I have yet to get my morning coffee >< but I am talking to Ms.Wright at the moment. C ya soon

As she sent the text she heard Ms. Wright “I imagine most of us are thinking the exact same thing. If everything goes the way I think they will, things will turn out for the best. For their sake, I hope they accept the fact that things are going to be quite different around here from now on. Oh, and I’m assuming you’ll be passing up this charming assembly?”

Bells grinned just a little as she noticed Ms.Wright look right into her eyes near the end “Well lets just say they will have a few choices to make while we are here. One, they are going to go through hell while we are here. Or two, they will join us and know what its like to have a good time” she smirked a bit then thought for a few minutes before she continued to answer Ms.Wright’s last question.

Ever since the first time she got sent to Ms.Wright’s office she knew that she could not lie to the teacher, but for some reason she really didn’t feel the need to lie. She was not a fan of most teachers just because they really thought she was a trouble maker, that she was lazy with her school work, and she can be really cruel. But for Ms.Wright’s class she actually did pay attention and did the work, she found Ms.Wright’s class interesting “Yup I am definitely not in the mood to spend my morning listening to someone that really dislikes me. I plan on doing something fun, not sure what that will be yet. Since there is no classes today I surely am going to take that to my advantage. I am not going to change my way of things just because we are staying in this school. I will be the same Bells everyone knows and loves or to most of the angel students here, hate. And maybe if I am lucky I will get sent you but most likely be sent to Mr. M because they did mention detention. I feel like that is going to be my new home while I am here” she let out a laugh then looked down to her phone to find out what time it was, knowing she would need to go meet Benz soon.

"Mmm, are we gonna record it on a door-frame?" she couldn't help but laugh. She always found herself laughing and having fun around Drake. Ever since they'd first met, they'd just seemed to click. And even now that they were older, that still hadn't changed. Lora had come to think that maybe it was Drake that was keeping her sane. Though she'd been coming to Arcana for a few years now, she still wasnt used to the whole...staying-in-one-place-for-long-periods-of-time thing.

Feeling him pull her closer against him, Lora had to stop the train of thoughts that were invading her mind. She was so screwed. Drake was a friend, and though he did things like this on occasion, and her body definitely reacted, he had to stay a friend. He was one of the people she was closest too, and she couldn't risk jeparodizing that.

"Erin? That's Cor's best friend..." Lora nodded with a role of her eyes. "...so you're probably going to have to get used to her presence soon." How fun/ She looked up at him, staring straight into his eyes. "I'll try my best." She gave him her best determinated look before smiling again. "She’s cool, though you probably shouldn’t piss her off. She’s a bit of a wild one." Lora shrugged with an almost innocent smile. "I'm a gypsy, Drake. We're not exactly known for being tame." As her smile changed into a smirk, she felt him release her from his grip. "I’m with the speedster in room 2." Turning around slightly, she moved to face him completely. "You're rooming with Colby? That shouldn't be too bad." She shrugged her shoulders with a nod.

"Well, you could always show me where room 2 is..." She looked up at him as, somewhere deep in the back of her mind, she almost wondered if he meant...no. Nevermind. "I’m getting sick of carrying this monster around." She smirked. "Lazy." She grabbed her bag from behind her, as she'd dropped it when she'd been assaulted by his hug, and slung it over her one shoulder. "Come on. We dont need you shrinking away to nothing before we get there. I dont have my magnifying glass and I wouldn't want to step on you."

When he made his crack about Leo not liking him, Lora chuckled. "Maybe he's just strict?" She couldnt help the laugh that erupted from her throat as she looked at him, slowly making her way up the stairs. Wait...they'd moved? When had that happened?

Image

A mischevious smirk passed her lips as her fingers closed around the small bag. Addi was like her other half. Literally. Sometimes, in her drug-induced haze, she'd actually ask herself if maybe she and Addi were sisters, seperated at birth. Addi was her sister, and Cain was like her weird sort of...pseudo-father. You couldn't have one without the other, and if you tried to seperate them...bad things happened.

"Fire, brimestone, the whole ordeal. This place is ours now, and if Mr. Stick-up-the-ass doesn't like it, he can go drop dead in an alleyway somwhere. Preferably beside a cross-dressing prostitute." Even Jade didn't know why she'd added the whole...prostitute bit. It had just been the first thing that had popped into her head, and as such, shot out her lips seconds later. Knowing that Addi knew her, Jade just shrugged it off.

Looking over at her mock innocent face, Jade almost burst into a fit of laughter. "Sweetie, your liver died a long time ago. And I dont think mine ever really existed to be honest. And you and I both know we barely ever think clearly." She raised her eyebrows in obvious sarcasm and the whole you-know-its-true sort of look.

"Sounds like a plan to me. That might very well turn out to be the best of my day, actually. A joint with you, and then an assembly I most likely wont remember a word of. Interesting won't even begin to cover it." She nodded, shrugging her shoulders and closing her grip around the little bag.

Before Jade could answer on whether or not they should go find the other girls of their little...group, a wild Scott appeared, and it took him all of about two seconds to sort of single out Addi a bit, not that Jade particularly cared. And, not that he wasn't hot and all, but....nevermind. That wasn't something Jade normally talked about. That, and scott wasn't the brightest spliff in the pack. But, over time, Jade had sort of become accustomed to it. Perhaps she could sort of consider him a friend. He seemed cool enough, and he had a nice enough power so...what was there not to like?

"We're just going to...have some fun before this assembly shit. Cor went...in that general direction, I think. I'm pretty sure I passed her when I was walking over here." She looked up to him. "And yes, I'm rooming with little miss McKenna. The bitch won't know what hit her. Or...she might, because it will definitely be something big and hard. Maybe a chair." There was a certain evil glint in her eyes that was usually, if not always present with Jade.

Jess was a little in shock when her room mate told her about the loss of her mother...How the hell was she supposed to react to that? It wasn't exactly something you introduced yourself with... She stepped out of the bathroom towards the girl on the other bed, genuinely stumped for what to say. Finally, she found the power of speech.
'Well, if you need anything... just let me know, ok?' She told her room mate, awkwardly, she'd barely knew Mo a month and already she was telling Jess the deep secrets of her past? God, she'd have a field day if she knew mine Jess thought darkly, as she placed her IPod down her desk. In the young brunette's mind, this marked the room as her own.

When Mo apologised for texting whilst have a conversation with her, Jess shrugged it off. 'It's fine my dear, It's good that you have a good relationship with your dad.' She said with a smile, that didn't quite reach her eyes. She thought about her family back home, the family she'd had to flee so from because of the..incident... it was so very long ago... How she missed them so.

Mo's voice cut through her thoughts like a sword, asking if she wanted to come to the cantine or stay here and unpack. Jess nodded furiously, 'Yeah I need to eat too, plus I need to eat and meet up with the beautiful Miss Mckenna Marino's before assembly.' She said cheerfully, quickly whipping out her phone as it buzzed with the text from Mickey. She smiled at her phone as the two girls walked down the canteen and quickly hit reply.

I am from Noctrem stupid :p Psh, when have I ever been late for anything? Walking down to the canteen with Morgan now, I'll drop her off and then come find you! Muhaha! J xx

As the two girls arrived at the assembly hall, she turned to Mo 'I guess I'll see in assembly now. There's going to be a blood bath, I can just see it.' She chuckled as Mo left. She saw her head towards a table where Zac and Allie were sitting. She gave them both a little wave before heading off to the assembly hall.

Arcana was huge and extremely well kept, Jess couldn't help but be slightly in the awe at how clean and magnificent the whole place was. She had a feeling she'd be very comfortable here.
She thought about Sky, she hadn't seen him, probably causing trouble no doubt. Jess chuckled to herself at the thought.

She finally reached the assembly hall, there was no one there yet. Of course, only nerds turn up this early Jess thought to herself. She rolled her eyes, trust Mickey to make her look like a freak. Best friend's rights, she supposed. She lend herself up against a wall and waited for her best friend's arrival.

When Freya talked about going back to London to speak to her parent's lawyers, Ashy was intrigued. How does a girl at our age have anything to do to court about? It was must be quite stressful was for her Ashy decided. This thought was confirmed by the way the other girl acted after the statement she had just made. Ashy decided to not pursue the conversation any more.

She let out a sigh of relief when Freya told her that the room she had was lovely. She gave a small smile, releasing the hands from the hem of her dress. Freya did look happy to be here and it soothed Ashy somewhat to know that they were at least friends.

'Oh no, I know' She said hurriedly after Freya made the comment about her being scared, 'I've made good friends with some of the Noctrem students since you've been here.' She said, with a small smile as she thought about Ben. Damm why couldn't she get this boy off her mind... where was he? Probably hanging out with the Noctrem lot, she supposed it was hardly 'cool' to hang around with an Arcana student, she supposed... the thought hurt her a little, she missed him so.
'No, I just worry a lot...' She confided in the her blonde room mate as she sat down beside. She held up her hands and showed Freya her nails 'I guess these are proof of that' She laughed softly.

When Freya asked her to tell about herself, Ashy faced another common problem. Not knowing what to say. Where do you start when describing yourself? How did she do it without freaking the girl out? Stop worrying Ashy you're going to make yourself Ill, Ashy told her self before taking a breath.

'Well, I'm from New York originally, high end New York at that...' She said quietly, trailing off as she thought of her family. The cup of water incident, the being disowned, the ignorant sexist pig who's sperm made her...She blinked several times before continuing. 'I like to dance, that's my favourite hobby. Then there's drawing, although I'm rubbish at it.' She smiled shyly at her room mate. 'What about y-' She was about to ask before being she heard the sound of drums from next door. She giggled. 'Yeah that'll be Zac... that'll happen a lot...' She chuckled..

Kali Rickerson

Kali held the phone to her ear and heard Eden ramble on and answering her questions "Yeah, I can go check for you. I got Marcurio Espenosa. Do you know who he is? The name sounds familiar, but I can't put a face to it. “Umm no I don’t really know him…I think I have heard his name around before..” she answered him and then heard him go on “You, my dear, are with Miss. Yvette Beatrix in Room 19. Alright, me and Mary will find you in a sec. See ya in a second." “Ah okay I don't think I know her... Okay see you soon” she answered back thinking about her new roommate, she can’t really place the name to a face and wondered what her roommate was like, she then put her phone back in her pocket and walked back to the girls.

“Sorry about that, Eden wanted to know where I was and he will be here soon” tt was only a few minutes after she said that, that she was suddenly jumped on which made her jump a little. She felt Eden’s hands go around her shoulders which made her smile, she felt she was getting closer to Eden though she wasn't sure how close yet. “Hey Kali!” she laughed and smiled and turned around seeing Eden and Mary “Hi Eden! Hi Mary! ”. At first Mary, the other angels, and things Eden made come alive freaked her out because it wasn't something she ever saw before but soon she got used to it and now she loves them. She heard Eden ask "So, are you guys staying here until the assembly?" but then saw him walk off to Adina and wake her up. She really liked Adina because of the angels personality and really got along with her. As Eden and Adina made there way back over she smiled to Adina as she heard "Hello sweetheart!", “Hello Adina, how are you?” she asked the angel then heard Kenna pipe up "Ready for the assembly?".

“I am ready when you are, though I hope it isn't long...I feel there is going to be a lot of tension in that room” she then looked to Eden “you coming Eden? you can sit by me if ya want” she asked as she went over to his side. She gave a soft smile “I guess I don’t have time to change but after the assembly I definitely will have to take a shower and change before anything else” she looked to everyone that was there “does anyone know who Yvette Beatrix is? I guess she will be my roommate but I don’t think I have met her before…though I am only close with a few Noctrem students and know the names of most of them. I just can't picture a face for the name”. She started playing with her hair a bit as she waited for the others hoping one of them knew who she was.

S
Amber Romano

Amber slightly raised an eyebrow as she watched Theo react to her new form. There was a look in his eyes that she was used to seeing. They were filled with panic and fright. Amber could practically see the wheels turning in the young man's head. 'Strange' she thought. 'What would he have to fear?' He didn't have much of a reputation to uphold, so what could Amber do to him? He seemed like a man who liked his privacy, but Amber hadn't picked him out to be one to have secrets.

The fear in his eyes passed, the emotion being replaced by anger. But anger at who? Had Amber said something? Did something? What was going on in his head? The curiousity started to claw at Amber's stomach, but she just sat there in Landon's form, watching Theo silently. Amber's thoughts were racing as she started to think of all the possible secrets the boy in front of her could have. Had he and Landon been secretly dating? Had they shared a bed? Did Landon know something about Theo? Did Theo know something about Landon?

She listened to him speak, a pleasant smile coming to her lips. Amber had spent her whole childhood being trained to improvise lies on a moments notice. She could spot bad acting from a mile away. The feigned embarrassment, the sham puppy eyes.'What an amateur.' There was something going on with Theo and Landon and she had the urge to find out what. 'Calm down Amber.' she thought to herself. 'If you're going to try and work with this boy, you're going to have to earn his trust. Leave it alone. Let the man have his secrets.'

Amber obeyed his request and gave up Landon's guise, shifting back into her original form. Her jaw slighly clenched as his other request hit her. In all her thoughts, she hadn't thought about his suggestion of a dream meeting at first. The thought of the boy having complete control wasn't very appealing to the shapeshifter, but it'd have to do. If she had to prove her trustworthiness to Theo, so be it.

Amber nodded and gave him a polite smile, slightly tilting her head. "Alright. I look forward to meeting with you tonight, Mr. McCaffrey." She slightly chuckled at the use of his last name. It fit him, but at the same time, it didn't, if that made any sense. "I'll be in bed by 9:00." she informed him before taking another bite of her bacon strip. She heard Leo's voice over the intercom and she let out a frustrated sigh, looking at her tray of food. "What a waste." she said simply, slinging her purse over her shoulder and standing up. She took out her phone from her purse, bringing up the picture of the list of rooms and tapping the screen to zoom in.

"Just in case I need to reach you in the waking world." she explained as she read looked for the boy's name. "Room Eighteen." She looked down to Theo, smiling at him. "Oh, you're with Zac. He's just a doll isn't he?" Amber picked up her knife and dropped it into her bag and picked up her food tray. She winked at the boy. "See you tonight." She said sweetly, before strutting off to a trashcan, dumping her untouched food into the garbage.

She smiled as she walked to the Great Hall. She had high expectations for this school. Very high indeed.

Eden Haven

Eden chewed on his lip, trying to put a face to Kali's roommate. "Uhh...Sorry Kali. I have no clue." Adina danced behind him and Mary as they began to follow Kali. "Oh yeah, I'll sit next to you Kali." He took a few steps to follow her and Mckenna. He playfully put his arm around Kali as he walked by her side. Of course, if it was anyone else, Eden wouldn't have dared done anything like that, but it wasn't anyone else. It was Kali, one of his dearest friends.

The two angels smiled as they looked at the two, romantic thoughts obviously running through their heads. Mary walked towards Mckenna with a warm (As warm as a statue could be) smile. "Hello dear." She greeted, her stone features creating a sweet image. She bent over, picking up the picture that fell to her feet. She didn't look at it as she handed it back to the girl. "You dropped this." She stated, smiling as Adina was heard singing to herself in the backround.

"You don't know you're beautiful!" She sang, dancing behind the group. "That's what makes you beautiful!"

(Sorry it's so short! :O)

Sky Byrnes

A soft smile came to Sky's face when he heard Colby say that he'd be sad if he lost either him or Landon. It made Sky think alittle bit and for a moment, he compared their situation to that movie Savages that he'd seen the other day. The main characters had some weird love triangle-sort thing going on. Colby was Blake Lively and Sky and Landon were those two sexy guys that shared her. It was practically the same thing. Well, except that they were all guys. And that it was less serious between all of them. And that him and Landon weren't best friends. And that they weren't being chased by the Mexican Cartel. That reminded Sky that he had to call his aunt later.

Scott walked by the trio and Sky's thoughts went out the window as he looked the hunky teen up and down. He put his lips together and did a cat call for Sky, biting his lower lip and letting out a laugh as Scott grabbed a condom out of the Party Box. He cocked a brow when he heard Colby's strange comment about Scott needing an extra small condom. Was that part of Colby's plan to get Scott to switch teams?

He switched attention back to Scott when he mentioned Sky rooming with Jay. He smiled and nodded to Scott. Sky appreciated that Scott had his back and honestly, he had his too. And if he wanted Sky to cover any other part of his body, the pyro would be willing to make that sacrifice.

Sky wet his lips and yelled after Scott. "If you need anyone to test the flavor of that rubber, I'm your man!" He started laughing again and made his way over to his room's door. "Alright, let's get settled in." He thought aloud, turning the doorknob. Well, he tried to turn the doorknob, but it was locked. "Shit. Fucking Jay." Sky cursed. He resisted the temptation to kick the door down as he turned to the other two boys.

"Well, I guess we can go eat some-" He was cut off by Mr. Marino's voice over the intercom, announcing the assemble was happening in 5 minutes. "Or I guess we can't." He let out a frusturated sigh. "Sorry." He apoligized. His first day at Arcana wasn't off to a great start. He was locked out of his room, his roommate was an asshole, and he was hungry.

He dropped his bag and walked over to Colby, opening the Party Box again and pulling out one of the bottles of tequila. He opened the bottle and took a fast sip, tossing his head back and not even giving the liquid the chance to touch his tougue on it's way down his throat. He wiped his mouth and shook his head. He felt a little more relaxed, but- "Just one more." He said, repeating the process.

He smiled, closing the bottle and putting it pack into the box. "I feeeeel great. Let's got to that assembly gentlemen." The pyro's lips curled into a relaxed smile as he felt the alchohol working it's magic.

Kali shrugged when Eden said “Uhh..Sorry Kali. I have no clue.” “Well I guess I will meet her soon enough, I wonder if she likes to do any reckless things” she smiled when Eden said he would sit next to her. As Eden’s arm went around she smiled, it felt like just a natural thing to Kali and she usually didn’t allow anyone else to do this but Eden was her closes guy friend she had at Arcana, Eden know almost everything about her…except for a lot of her past. No one knew about that though maybe someday she would tell Eden.

She looked behind her to see Mary and Adina, she gave them a smile especially when Adina started singing. Then saw Mary talking to Kenna, she smiled to Kenna then looked forward as she walked on. As they finally made it into the school she heard the announcement from Mr. Marino "All students to the Great Hall please, assembly beings in five minutes. A reminder than any absentees will result in punishment." She looked to Eden “well good timing for us, I wonder why this assembly is so important. I guess it could be about the Noctrem students, most likely because of them but they have been here like a month already and we have not had an assembly since they been here. Now thinking about it we haven’t had an assembly in a long time” she said as they walked to the great hall where the assembly was being held. She looked down at the clothes she was wearing, it was her running outfit and she didn’t have time to change before hand but she really didn’t care. She knew probably all the Noctrem students where dressed nicely in one way or another but it didn’t matter to her.

As she walked with Eden into the hall she tried to look for L but didn’t see her “I wonder where L is hiding…” she said as she looked around to see who else was there. She saw Izzy and Ellie over to the side and wave to the two of them “hey guys” she then moved her way down the walkway and moved in to one of the rows of seats now taking Eden’s hands in hers to pull him along the seats. Once she was in the middle of the row she sat down and looked up to Eden and smiled. She then looked to the front and saw Mr. Marinos and Ms. Roerig. She hasn’t had to go to Ms. Roerig in like a week, which is a record for her, she just hasn’t gotten into anything that would get herself ‘extremely’ hurt. She leaned back against the seat comfortably and started randomly playing with some of her hair as she sat there.

McKenna Marinos

Mary's voice made her turn around, and McKenna found herself being handed the picture and she gasps a little, "Thank you." She says with a small smile. They begin walking and McKenna spots her bestie up ahead.

McKenna jumped behind Jess, wrapping her arms around her waist tight with a squeal, "BOO! I missed you!!" She squeezes Jess tight.

"How ya feeling today, love?" She asks moving back up a bit and fixing Jess's bangs, which were falling in her face a bit. McKenna's voice was light, but Jess knew McKenna's ever growing concerns in the way that Cain made her use her power so often. Sometimes McKenna wish she could use her molecular regeneration on others instead of just herself, but she wasn't even sure if that was possible.

Grabbing Jess's hand she leads the group -- Eden, Kali, and the others -- into the Great Hall and sits down in the few middle rows. With a sigh, she places her bag down, putting the picture in a safe spot in her backpack. The bouncy brunette somewhat becomes anxious with all the Noctrem students arriving and her foot begins to tap rapidly as she awaits for everyone to file in.

She was sure that she wasn't going to see her roommate Jade any time soon, so she had no reason to fret there. Noctrem students were known for not showing up for things, or being extremely late... She sighs quietly and begins to braid her hair with one hand --a task she had become a professional at doing, the other hand was resting on her knee, fingers tapping away.

Everything about this year made her nervous. Mr. Marinos being her possible dad, the Noctrem students..Her first year being at a school with other people like her...

At least she had Jess, and Kali... And a few other friends, but Jess mainly. She needed Jess just as much as Jess needed her.

[[Sorry short post again. Been very busy lately]]

As the Mr Marino's voice rang through the halls of the school, basically telling the students they five minutes until the assembly or else, Jess gave a small smile. Like anyone from her school was going to be at all phased if he slapped them with a detention, or punishment of any kind; there would probably be a group of them that would have a party in the detention room or something. As she watched the corridor slowly fill up with students, the brunette rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe that Mickey was late, if she wasn't careful, she was sure that they were all going to miss the assembly. No matter, detention parties were fun.

Suddenly, Jess found herself being attacked by a random pair of arms, causing her to squeal loudly. She turned to see her best friend grinning at her like a Cheshire Cat. 'Jesus Christ woman, I thought I was being taken away!' She cried, a smile etching her face. 'I've missed you too' She gushed, hugging Mickey tightly. She gave a small smile to the small huddle of people that Mickey had dragged with her. Jess suspected this had been the case, Mickey was never one to take no for answer.

'I'm actually in a pretty good today actually, rooming with Morgan, she's slightly less insane than you.. but only very slightly.' Jess told Mickey, giving a small smile as she remembered Mo basically jumping down her throat about her crushes. Poor girl, Jess was never one to disclose much, particularly those she didn't really know. The brunette wasn't even sure if Mickey knew about her crushes and they had become close extremely quickly. Truth be told, it did scare Jess how close the girl had become in so little a time. Mickey had seen how bad her mood swings could get, but she just...didn't want to hurt Mickey. She'd done enough of that for a life time.'How are you, my dear?' She asked the brunette next to her as they walked in the assembly hall.

Mickey had dragged the entire group to one of the middle rows in the great hall. Jess noticed Mr Marino's standing at the front, preparing to address both sets of students. Poor man. He looked smart and professional as always, but Jess couldn't thinking he was a little naive. Did he honestly think this would work? What's more he'd mixed the room. This wasn't a problem as far as she was concerned, she didn't mind Mo, not in the slightest. It was the others she was concerned about. She'd noticed that Jay and Skye were put in the same room when she'd looked down the list. There was defiantly going to blood when it came to that room pairing, Jess could tell that from the start. Jess looked back at Mr Marino's, she felt a small sense of pity. This man really did not know what had hit him.

She turned her attention back to Mickey, who was putting something into her bag. She nearly asked her best friend what it was until she noticed that the girl had gone very quiet and was tapping her leg on the ground. Jess had known Mickey long enough to know that this was one of her nervous gestures. 'Hey, it's going to be alright, they won't hurt you. As long as you stick with me.' She told her best friend, taking the girls hand in hers and giving her a small smile. She knew she couldn't do much, but she would protect her friends, above all else.

McKenna Marinos

McKenna had sat intently through the assembly. But now she was sitting in the library reading her philosophy book. She sighs, crossing her legs and twirling her hair with one finger as she reads.

With a small click of her tongue and a flip of the page her mind begins to wander in various directions. Some about school: homework, socially...Leo...

Ugh, how much longer was this going to bother her? She sighs, pulling her old school laptop out of her bag. The laptop was her Aunt Lilly's, but Lilly had given it to her before she went to Arcana. Email seemed to be the best way to keep in touch Lilly and other friends from her home town, especially since she didn't have a Facebook or anything.

She scrolls through her emails, deleting the junk mail, and reading some of the emails she had gotten from the Pet Shelter she worked at.

Congrats! Gypsy Rose -- the young chihuahua -- finally got adopted!--

She then stumbled across an email from Aunt Lilly and she smiles, opening it up.

Mickey,
It's quiet around here without you, both your uncle and I miss you very much. We hope everything is going well at the Academy and you're finding a lot of new and exciting things to do. I sincerely hope you have a break soon, Buddy is growing up so fast without you!
Image

Oh! Your uncle wanted me to tell you that you have a package coming. It has some money in it, and a few books, a new coffee mug and a few other small knickknacks we thought you'd enjoy.

Other than that, not much to say about what's going on here.
Much Love,
Lilly

McKenna smiles as she reads the letter, her fingers grazing over the screen for a moment, lost in thought. She missed her home, her dog, her hedgehog and her two fish. She places the email in the "Respond To" Folder and closes her laptop, placing it back in her bag.

Leo thought he had won. He had thought he was going to get out of this without having to deal with any anger from his girlfriend. By the way that she was wrapping herself around him, welcoming his lips, and grasping a hold of his hair, how could he think any different? The immortal male was almost beginning to forget that Amy had been angry with him in the first place, and his trail of thought was moving just onto her; about taking her, right here in his office, proving to her again that she was his. Everything that he could think of was her - Amy Roerig filled his mind, his heart, and every single one of his senses with thoughts of her. Her touch, her scent, her love... it clouded his mind, much to his enjoyment.

However, that enjoyment was short lived, by the atmosphere in the room suddenly taking a turn for the worst. Amy suddenly snapped, pushing him away from her, unraveling herself quickly from his body. Leonardo just looked at her, his expression filled with confusion and worry; one moment ago, she had been begging for him, wanting him, panting his name, and now, she was pushing him away, and had started shouting at him. He was just... confused. He hadn't felt things like this before, had never experienced them before - and now, this was his first experience with the girlfriend angry at jealousy. Yeah, he definitely didn't want to be here again. Amy looked almost scary, her expression full of anger, her eyes baring deep into his own. She had even swore! Leo's eyes widened as that "damn" came out of her lips; Amy never swore. Ever. Oh dear, he had truly annoyed her this time.

"Amy, I'm sorry." Leo's voice was calm and cool as he tried to reason with the angry brunette woman in front of him, taking a step back from her. He didn't want to be within arms reach of her, in case she decided to lash out at him in a moment of blind fury. "I didn't mean to, I just didn't like you being so close to another man like that. I've never had a woman for my own, Amy. I've never been able to look at a girl, and call her mine. In a thousand years, feeling this for the first time has made me a little possessive, I see that. Please, please don't be angry at me, baby." Leo was almost pleading with the woman, taking a small step back towards her, with his arms outstretched. He wanted her back in his arms again, but this time, he wasn't going to force it. He was going to wait for her to come to him.

Erin could feel her anger rising with every passing second, her hands beginning to shake more and more, that horrible red haze beginning to cloud over her eyes; when she was in this sort of mood, she was barely human, that primal, feral side of her taking over. She was more like a hungry rabid dog, than a girl once her powers truly took over. Sometimes, it got so bad, that she didn't even remember what had happened when she had been taken over; it was as if she was being taken over by a different force, a different being. Something pushed back that human side of her and in it's place set down a primal being, who's only thoughts are based around blood and fear. Not feeling fear, but creating it. She was a scary being, once her powers took over - more scary that a pissed off Corentine, it had been said before. Which was why the girl had ran away from it all, run outside to her secluded place in the forest; somewhere she wouldn't be able to harm anyone.

The blonde just couldn't believe how Keirol had just pushed her off like that, brushed her off as if she really was just some strange girl in the corridors that he had never met, spoken to, or even seen before. Not the girl that laid in his bed most nights, curled up with him, laying there contently without any sort of physical activity on her mind. Not the girl that he had trusted enough to have given her his most precious possession, to keep close to her heart, always. Her hand came up to clasp the sword dangling around her neck, the pendant that her "boyfriend" had given her as a gift a few nights prior. She tried to go back to that moment, to how happy she had felt when Keirol had placed the pendant around her neck, telling her that he loved her, but she could no longer feel the happiness. No, now all Erin could feel was rage, when she looked at his face. The face that held those eyes that had recently looked straight through her, as if she hadn't been there at all.

There was a rustling behind her, a noise the girl tried to ignore. Probably a bird or a rabbit or something. She thought to herself, shaking her head, trying to bring herself out of that moment, and to put her mind in a quiet, more peaceful place. However, then, a voice resounded around her, shattering her silence; a deep, seductive voice that almost made a shiver run through the blonde's body. That's no rabbit. Erin took in a few deep breaths as she felt herself growing more and more vicious, that primal side of her wanting to take her over, to take full control of her body. It had been ages since she had been this angry, and Erin was slightly cautious of even Drake being around her right now. Usually, Drake Quellen was the boy that she was run to when she was feeling angry, to stop herself from getting this close to the edge, but he was rather late this time at finding her, and she was almost too close to the edge of sanity to be able to stop herself from turning. It was already beginning to happen; her shaking was almost uncontrollable, her breathing ragged.

Erin whipped around after a few seconds, her change almost complete. The rage inside her was almost at the point of explosion; her body shaking with anger. The blonde's eyes were now black, black with hate, and anger, and rage, and murderous intent towards the man that had hurt her like this, and to anyone that decided to get in her way. She was almost at complete strength, holding herself onto sanity as long as possible, grasping onto that tiniest bit of humanity that she muster. "Drake..." She breathed, her voice strained, and shaky. She hated feeling this close to slipping, this close to falling out of her own consciousness, and into the mind of the beast. Drake would help her; he had to.

He just had to.

Suddenly, Erin threw her head back, her inside battle growing harder and harder, allowing the beast within to come out for a moment, her eyes flashing red, signifying that she was no longer in control of her own body. She felt herself snarl in the direction of the man who had come along to find her, before a sadistic grin flickered across her lips. "Oh look, Drake. Come along to stop me, have you? To "calm me down?" Please, you think you can stop me, you puny, impudent little fool. Unlike her, I'd rather not --" Erin's head once again was thrown backwards and her eyes changed back, flashing red again briefly, again showing a change in control over the body of the blonde girl. Erin's primal part was growing stronger, beginning to take over. She hated asking for help, especially from someone so cruel and sarcastic about everything, but Drake was the one person that Erin was able to trust to help her, to save her, when she was in this sort of state.

"Help me."

Well, that conversation with Beth and Spencer had gone, oh so well, in Jackson's eyes. That was a bit of an overstatement. After he had mentioned there being a party that night, there had been a silence. And it hadn't been one of those nice, comfortable silences that he enjoyed. No, it had been a horrible, awkward silence between the three of them. Jackson had stood there with his hands in his pockets for about a minute with no reply from the blonde girl that he had been in a relationship with, or his new science-infatuated roommate, before he had decided that there wasn't going to be a conversation between the three of them anytime soon. So, he had quickly excused himself, telling them to "think about it," before walking off, quickly.

The Irish man hadn't known what to do, and had spent the best part of half an hour walking around the gardens of the school. He had been hoping to spot at least one of his friends; maybe McKenna, Ashy or Julie around somewhere, but to no such luck. He hadn't seen anyone; it was like the grounds of the school was a cemetery. Maybe it was because all of the Arcana students were helping their new Noctrem roommates settle into their new quarters, making them feel all at home and what not. Jackson wondered if he should have gone back inside and spoken to Spencer, offered to help him up to their new shared room and help him settle in. But, seeing how their last conversation had gone, the man had decided against it.

Now, Jackson was walking through the hallways of the school, slowly making his way back to his bedroom. He had decided that waiting there for Spencer to come up would be a better idea than trying to engage the man in conversation again, and had changed his direction from that of the forest on the outskirts of the school, to the dorms on the inside. However, as he made his way along the hallway, an open door caught his eye. "Mhm, strange." He murmured to himself, his Irish accent thick through his voice. There had been conversations about a week prior, Arcana students joking about never leaving their doors open any more, because of the thieving and untrustworthy ways of the Noctrem students, so this ajar door was something that he hadn't expected to see.

As Jack peered around the corner of the door, to determine who's room it was, he noticed a bag on the floor, one he had seen many times whilst he had been growing up. Lulu and him had always used to go out on trips to the woods in the small town they once lived in, and they would take a picnic and all the essentials needed to eat, and have a day out, like a ball, and a frisbee and what ever else you'd want, in that bag. "Lu?" He called out as he made his way into the room, looking around. He could hear the shower on in the bathroom, but even through the walls, it was still possible to hear people calling on the outside. Many a time, the male had been spoken to whilst he had been in the shower, from one of his friends on the outside in his bedroom, so, it worried him a little that Lulu hadn't replied to him. He knocked on the door of the bathroom, once again calling out her name, hoping for a reply. After a minute of not getting one, he opened the door, slowly, making sure that she was decent before going inside properly.

The sight before him shocked him, and Jack moved quickly over to her side, taking her hand. "Lulu? You're like ice.... why are you showering in cold water? You'll freeze if you've been in here too long. Here. Please?" He held up a towel that had been conveniently placed close enough to the shower, so that she would be able to step out of the shower, and he could wrap it around her.

Throughout Mr Marino's welcome speech, Jess mentally shook her head at the beautiful, but apparently very intellectual man in front of her. She still maintained her belief that this was the biggest mistake since Michael Jackson decided to get a nose job. He honestly expected this whole operation to run smoothly? To be fair to the man, there had been many friendships formed; Jess didn't particularly mind any of the people from Arcana. However, not everyone had the same feeling. Jess's eyes wondered across the room to Drake. He was every inch the bad boy and he knew it. He also had a fan club, mainly compromised of women. Jessica found hilarious. Who could want such an annoying man?! Drake was the worst person to around when she was annoyed, the brunette had learnt this very quickly. She had lived with boys her entire live and yet none of them were as annoying as Drake.

Drake wasn't the reason Mr Marino's ought to be scared, however, Jess though sadly. It was Cor. She was the oncoming storm. Wherever she was, trouble was not far behind. Now, the headmaster of the school was letting her in...Poor man. She felt sorry for him, she did.

The brunette then found out that her house captain was Ben. She didn't mind him too much, they had a good time when there was a party on. But, Ben was a child at heart and therefore was also a wind up merchant. Oh well, as long as the brunette kept her head down, then she wouldn't really need to speak to him.

When the assembly had finished, Jess let out a sigh 'This is where th-' She started as she turned to where Mckenna had been sitting, before quickly realizing she wasn't there. Well that was nice. Where the fuck had she gone?! The excitement of seeing her best friend disappearing as quickly as the students from the hall, Jess stood up and quickly mingled in the crowd, not wanting to be left like alone in the hall. The girl was angry that her best friend had left her like that. Without warning. Maybe she's upset a voice at the back of her head said, you should go see her. No. She wouldn't, Mckenna knew that she could talk to her about anything, so why run away like that?

To distract herself, Jess decided she needed food. It took her a little longer than usual because...well she'd only just moved in. She was still in awe of this place. It was so big and so grand! Nothing like Noctrem, or at least, what she remembered of it.

Quickly grabbing a bowl of tomato soup, from the cantine, the brunette sat down, dipping her bread roll in the soup and taking a bite.

McKenna

McKenna was slowly driving her self nuts, of course, she was staring at the picture from every angle trying to figure it all out.. They had the same last name, she knew that for a fact, They looked similar, similar powers... Well, she could have sat there forever making connections, or she could go see Jess and talk to her. Jessie had no idea about this insane theory McKenna had been brewing since she met Mr. Marinos .. She had to see Jess. That was final. Jess knew how to calm her down from these kind of things, she knew how to ground her again. Packing up, McKenna grabs her stuff and begins to run towards the cafeteria, the idea began to drive her crazy.

Leo is my father...Leo IS my father...

She'd been holding it in for much too long since she started here. She finds Jess and slams the picture down, sitting frantically, "Jess... Okay, this is crazy, right? Tell me I'm crazy..." Her eyes plead for Jess to confirm her suspicious, or deny them completely.

"Jessie, you know how insane this makes me sound," Her eyes were frantic, almost pleading Jess to calm her down, "Just tell me that this is him...."

She takes a gulp of air, "Tell me...This is Leo... With MY mom... Or is it just some guy who looks strikingly similar..."

Jessica was the only one who she could babble to about nothing and she still wouldn't judge her for anything, so this probably wasn't much different from all the other crazy breakdowns she had over the time of knowing each other. McKenna was one to worry about a lot, about people, papers, exams, she was a small OCD perfectionist at times. Jess would have to stop Kenna from ripping up her drawings at times when McKenna was completely frustrated.

McKenna lets out an exasperated sigh, "I know this is crazy, but just tell me I'm not the only one who sees it..."

Jess had just finished her soup and was about to put her bowel over in the washing up area when Mckenna came into the cantine looking...ever so slightly crazy. For a moment, the brunette had sympathy for her and wanted to help. But then she remembered. She remembered that Mckenna had left her in the assembly, in a place she didn't know, with people she barely knew.

She stared at Mckenna with cold eyes as she started saying something about Mr Marino's being in a picture with her mom. Part of Jessica, the more motherly part saw that Mckenna needed the support and guidance of her best friend, because she was scared. But the majority of Jessica was now in a bad mood and it was incredibly hard to get her out of it. She'd had anger management classes once, but she'd ended up kicking a few things, including the guy who was leading the class, in the face. They had offered her counselling here at Arcana. However, Jess was terrorified to tell anybody really about her past, incase they judged her. Her mother had always told her that she had done the right thing, that it was an act of self defense but... She'd killed a man. She wasn't sure that anyone would ever understand that.

Jess looked straight into her best friends eyes as the girl offered the photo out to her. 'So this is where you've been..' She said quietly, 'You left me on my own, in a place that I don't know, to what? Stare at some photo. We all have families 'kenna... and we all issues.' She stood up. still boring into Mckenna's eyes. 'Let me see that.' She said shortly, taking the photo from the girls hand's and taking time to look at it.

There was a man and a woman in the picture. The women did look like Mckenna, striking like her actually. Then there was the man in question. He did look like Le-Mr Marino's. Mckenna was right, the resemblance was striking. However... this was impossible, wasn't it? She turned back to her best friend. 'He does look like him, 'Kenna, but Mr Marinos has been around for a long time. He's written many a report it. It can't be. It doesn't make sense.' She placed the photo back on the top, still not breaking Mckenna's eye contact. 'If you'll excuse me.' She told the girl infront of her, grabbing her soup bowel, putting on the washing up area and walking briskly out the hall.

She had been wound up by her best friend and Jess was sure that the girl would understand that she just needed some space to calm down some. There was a small part of her that felt bad for leaving Mckenna in her hour of need. But she had left her this morning, fair was fair.

The girl was heading back to her room. She was so distracted, she didn't notice the upturned piece of carpet, and she feel straight over it. Brilliant. That was all that she needed. The girl decided that she couldn't be bothered to get up just yet, So she sat againist the wall, hugging her knees. This had been a shit day.

For the last few hours, Jessica had been recovering. She was a smart girl, she had done a little research and was aware the capability of Mo's power, but she never knew it could be that intense. She just didn't hear what the blonde had told her. She had seen the mans face, the scenes that had unraveled between them when they had been together and she felt it. It was strange, under the story that Mo was telling, she could... hear? her anguish. Her panic, this girl was scared. Although Jess didn't need this broadcast to know that. Mo hadn't been right all day and now Jess understood why. She had been dazed for a few minutes. Frankly, she had been surprised how non plus Mo had been, how well she was coping with the whole situation or seemed to be now. Despite Jess's shortsightedness, she wasn't blind or stupid. She had known that Mo was trying to defer from the situation.

Deciding that this was too big a situation to be ignored, Jess had interupted the blonde in her outfit choosing, sat her down and told her the plan. They were going to see... someone in the morning. A figure of authority. She couldn't decide whether this was a matter for Mr Marino's or Mr Henderson. She had no particular preference other than Mr Henderson was the most non understanding person, ever. She'd let Mo decide who she wanted to go to. They would go to someone though, this much was certain, then the entire school could get on board and protect her... well that was the theory anyway.

Jessica's thoughts turned back to Mckenna, she needed to see someone to. There was no way she could leave her best friend alone iin her situation. She had over reacted earlier, she'd be the first to admit that. She needed to find Kenna; fast. She had quickly sent her a text.

Mickey, come out to the party tonight? It'll stop you going crazy, at least until the morning <3 xx

She had then begun the process of getting ready for the party. Putting some music on to help them get in the party mood; the brunette quickly jumped in the shower. Fixing her hair up into an elegant bun and choosing her outfit. She had deliberated on what she should wear for a while, debating on whether it was too indecent to wear to one of these parties. Then Jessica remembered, she had once attended a school full of promiscuous girls that had also transferred here. If she turned up naked, then this would also have been fine. She gave a small smile at the thought, lighlty applying some make up. The outift would certainly give the likes of Jackson and Gregory a shock!

That's when the brunette thought about her closest male friend. She hadn't heard from all day. She hoped that he was okay and that the Noctrem boys were being good to him. She took out her phone and rustled up a quick text;

Gregory Ryce! You are hereby ordered to get me a drink at the bar tonight ;) Meet me at the bar in ten? I'll be in the one in black xx

Smiling stupidly at her phone, Jess looked up at her room mate 'Let's go' She smiled, linking arms with Mo and strolling on down to the party.

McKenna

McKenna had spent the majority of her day doing photography out near the woods outside of campus, trying to get her mind off of everything that had happened. She shrugged taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, placing the camera to her eye and focusing in on a hawk that was soaring over the tree tops. The girl feels her phone vibrate, a text from Jess asking about her to come to the party. McKenna shrugs a bit, and puts the lens protector over her camera and begins to walk to her dorm.

Trudging up the stairs to her dorm, she hoped to God her roommate wasn't lurking about in the room, she let out a big sigh, realizing that when she opened the door Jade wasn't there, "Thank goodness...." The inaudible words escape her lips as she closes the door behind her. She goes and finds a light weight, baby blue, sweater that slung off one shoulder and she wears a lacy white tank underneath, with a pair of skinny jeans. She throws her black converse with it and shrugs, taking a brush through her hair.

"Good as it will get," She sighs quietly, fixing up the little make up she had on -- mascara and a bit of grey eyeliner.

McKenna fixes her sweater a bit, turning to one side, then the to the other. McKenna considered herself cute, not drop dead gorgeous like the other girls on campus, but she cute...

She shrugs again and runs a hand through her hair for a moment, walking back out of her dorm, locking the door behind her. She makes her way down to the party and sees some drama already starting to appear, she blinks a bit, tilting her head to the side. Her eyes scan for Jess, but doesn't see her right away so McKenna makes her way to the bar and waves down the bartender.

"Yeager." She nods towards the bartender, she felt like drinking a bit tonight, not that it was truly her thing, but it would get her to loosen up a bit and not be so tense about the day.

The bartender throws down a shot glass on the counter, pours it with Yeager and slides it over to McKenna, her hands grasping the shot glass, a smile appears on her face and she shoots it back. The bitter taste slides down her throat and a shake ripples through her body, she lets out a laugh and wipes the excess liquor from her lips. Her eyes flicker over to Cor, who was a few seats down and she sighs quietly shaking her head as she flirted away with one of the teachers.

Addison Lawler

Addison takes a gulp of Jay's drink and shivers with delight as it burns her throat. She stays quiet, and watches Jay go off in search of girls and she looks over at Erin with a small smirk, taking a drag of her cigarette.

"Well, hello, lovely," Her voice is dark and a twinkle of seduction sparked in her eye. Granted, Addison was still extremely high, and she was planning on getting drunk next, but she still knew what she was doing.

She gives Erin a small wink, "See ya around, babe." She says, standing up, taking another drag of her cigarette as she walks towards the bar, leaning over it, tilting her head at the bartender in a flirtatious way. There was a bowl of cherries on the counter and she takes one in her free hand, taking it in her mouth and playing with it a bit.

"I'll have a shot of whiskey, please."

The bartender smirks back, "Excellent choice."

She nods, taking her shot and shooting it back, letting out a small sigh of relief. She smiles a bit, at the bartender, sliding the glass back to him with a smirk.

The extremely detached girl, notices McKenna sitting alone at the bar and she rolls her eyes a bit, then starts searching for someone she could possibly get with tonight.

Addison watched the party unfold, drama was on the rise. She could feel it. She rolled her neck a bit and her shoulders back, standing up from the seat she had taken at the bar, her eyes flickering around a bit... Who could she get alone?

Killian...? Nah...

Jessica?. ... She laughed at the thought, a delighted smirk flickered onto her face. Maybe later in the year. No doubt that girl had some bisexy tendencies up her sleeve.

The girl continues to look around as Jay drags someone off to his room. Oh, my, drama...Drama, drama.

Of course, she knew Cor would soon have her revenge on her for sure. She most definitely saw the flirtatious act that Addison had displayed when talking to Jaysin. But, Addison was a bit too mentally gone to start giving two shits about it at this point. Walking away from the bar, she feels a bit like a bubble head, the alcohol and weed in her system was the perfect balance to make her lose her focus for a bit.

Where the fuck was Jade?

She shrugs, Jade must be around here somewhere. She had to be. If not, Addison would track her down eventually to see what her bestie was up to.... She began to meander through the party, people watching was so much fun for Addie, she loved to induce, create and watch drama bubble over. Mostly because she didn't find anything more amusing, plus the fact she had nothing better to do at this damn school. She got straight A's and did everything she was told.

A thought passed her by and a smirk flies across her face, Leo...

Oh, the things she would do to that man... She shakes her head a bit as she takes a seat alone on one of the benches, not even hesitating to light up another cigarette. She leans back on the bench, folding one arm over her torso and bringing the cigarette to her lips. The sweet taste of nicotine in her cotton mouth was nice. She clicks her tongue as she exhales and begins to think.

This party, of course, wasn't up to par with the Noctrem parties, but these Arcana kids had no idea how to have fun. But, there was free alcohol. She really couldn't complain with that. She shrugs a bit, taking another drag, tilts her head back and closes her eyes as she inhales deep, then slowly exhales, watching the smoke float above her head. She begins to sing a song under her breath, "I wanna be drunk when I wake up, on the right side of the wrong bed...".

McKenna Marinos

McKenna had been sitting there for a while, a few shots in her system and she was mildly buzzed. It was a good kind of buzz though, which was nice. She notices Jackson and Lulu standing over by themselves and she stands up, bouncing over to them.

Where the hell was Jessica? She looks around, but then notices she had seated herself next to Killian. Oh well... She shrugs quietly as she approaches Lulu and Jackson.

"Good evening, Lulu, Jackson... You look nice tonight, Lulu, and you as well Jacks--" She then notices Jackons' arm around Lulu and she adds quickly, "I...Hope I'm not interrupting something."

She suddenly becomes slightly embarrassed, her cheeks turn a rosy pink. She had always had this small quirky crush for Jackson, although she never said it to him. He thought of her like a best friend, nothing more, nothing less.

"I just wanted to say this is a great party you have put together..." She says to him with a small smile. She bites her lower lip and lets out a small sigh.

Leo couldn't calm down, no matter what Amy was trying to say to him. How could he clam down, walking in on his girlfriend collapsed on the floor like that? His pregnant girlfriend! She wasn't fine - that was evident. There was no way that she was going to be able to convince him that she was okay, unless she got up and started doing the cha-cha slide, or some other crazy dance. He didn't want to calm down; he didn't really think that he could, anyway. She couldn't ask that of him. He wasn't as calm and collected as she was, especially when it came to something, or someone, that he cared about dearly. He was completely the opposite, in fact. Panicked, definitely. He tried to suppress it as much as he could, looking her straight in the eyes instead of letting them frantically search her body, and lowering the pitch of his voice when he spoke from a squeaky mouse, to his normal tone.

However, his eyes widened again when Amy told him that he believed the baby was feeding off of her powers. What? It was... the baby, his child, that was doing this to his beloved girlfriend? She was right; it did sound bad. He didn't like the sound of that at all, and he would definitely make sure that she didn't have to use her powers again, unless it was a dire emergency, until... the baby was born. He didn't want her doing anything at the moment, anything that would cause her to end up like this again. Would she be able to carry on with her teaching? Her nursing duties? He wasn't sure - the immortal teacher knew that his stubborn girlfriend would want to carry on as normal, and wouldn't listen to his protesting against it, but he believed it would be best for her, and their... child, a word he still had trouble thinking about, if she stayed as relaxed as possible.

Then, another thought came into his mind; how in the hell had she come to be like this? Had there been an injured student? Someone who had been seriously hurt, so badly that it had caused Amy to end up like this? Just as he was about to ask her about it, however, Amy started explaining the situation to him. Chris? She had put herself in this situation, because of Chris? What the hell were your thinking, Amy? How could you let yourself end up like this? You shouldn't have pushed yourself so far... All of these things bounced around Leo's mind, words he wanted to say out loud to her, but words that he suppressed. He wasn't going to upset her in this state - there was no way that he was going to add any more stress and worry to the woman that he loved. So, he just shook his head, and slowly moved so that he could pick his girlfriend up bridal style.

"Amy..." He sighed, wrapping his arms around her tight enough so that she wouldn't fall, "I understand." He told her, pressing his lips softly to her forehead, before making his way towards the bedroom in his apartment. "It's your nature to help people; just please, promise me something? Please, don't push yourself this far again. For me? And... for... the baby." He stammered out, laying her down gently on his bed, a comfortable place for her to rest; it had to be more comfortable than the floor, anyway. He then sat down next to her, on the edge of the bed, taking her hand into his. He linked their fingers together, hating the fact that she barely had the energy to even talk to him at the moment. "Promise?"

As he held out the kebab stick for Lulu, Jackson watched her, smiling as she took a bite. She did it... quite erotically, surprisingly. It confused him to begin with; why was she doing that? There was no-one around, in particular Drake, that she would be doing that for- only him. However, it soon dawned on him that her eyes kept darting over towards the male, hoping he was watching, hoping that he was getting jealous of the two of them being together. The male held back a sigh, and forced that smile to stay on his face as she complimented the food, savouring the delicious tastes of the spices of the chicken.

Jack laughed softly when Lu said that there was nothing better than Jack Daniels; the comment seemed false when she was holding that bottle of rum so close to her heart. He knew that her favourite drink was rum, and she didn't have to make him feel any better about the situation that they were in, the situation that she didn't know about, by lying to him about the joys of Jack, the drink that his father had named him after. Stupid Irish man. Maybe that was why it was his drink of choice. As Lulu walked away, saying something about him being good to her, the male had to admit in his mind, that he really was. The reason behind that of course was his unrequited affection towards her, but she didn't know that. To her, he was probably just that friend who she could trust. The friend who would always be just that; her friend.

It took him a moment to register that she had returned, and was holding out a plastic cup filled with a shot of whiskey for him. He clinked the cup next to hers with a smile, "Who's better." He repeated, before downing the drink. He was usually one for savouring his drink, especially Jack Daniels, taking his time with the alcohol and letting it warm his stomach progressively. However, this was not going to be one of those time, was it? He was standing with the girl that his heart was devoted to, and every other second, her eyes were darting over towards a man who was playing around with her heart. Someone who wouldn't treat her right, someone who would end up hurting her, even if he didn't mean to.

He hated people who got intentionally drunk. There was no point in it, getting so paralytic that you forget how good the night was before, was there? Jackson only usually had enough alcohol to get him to his "merry Irish" point, where his Irish drawl became thicker, his smile became wider, and he just felt happy. And with the amount of alcohol that he had already drunk tonight, he was at that point. However, the happiness was being overshadowed by another feeling of just that; being overshadowed. "No-one's going to hate your guts, Lu." He sighed, putting down the cup, feeling as if this was going to be defining moment. He couldn't stand here any more with her, knowing that she was only half in the conversation, her eyes definitely searching elsewhere.

"Lu, I can't. I.... can't do... this, any more. I can't." Jackson began, running a hand through his messy hair. "I can't stand here pretending it's okay, that I like talking to you when I know all you want to be doing is talking to him. Your comment earlier, about me being better to you than anyone else - you know that's true. You know that he's just going to end up hurting you, and you still want him. That kills me, Lulu." Jackson paused for a moment in his admittance, and pressed his lips to her forehead, before letting his arm around her go loose and stepping away. "I care about you more than you'll ever know or appreciate, Lulu. I always have, and always will. You're beautiful, kind hearted, and the most amazing person that I have ever met; and you deserve so much better than... him." The male sighed again and took the moment to look into her eyes, his voice sincere and quiet. "I'm in love with you, Lulu."

However, before anything more could be said, McKenna arrived, interrupting the mood that he had set between himself and Lulu. He turned to look away from the woman whom he had just declared his love for and smiled softly towards McKenna. She was a good friend of his, someone who he liked to talk to occasionally, but he was not in the mood to talk to her after the conversation that he had just had. "Thank you, McKenna. You look very nice, and I hope you enjoy your night. I must excuse myself now, I apologize. Lulu, I hope you find someone to fix your door." The Irish man nodded at both of the women and then turned on his heel and and left, not want to wait around to see how his words had affected her. Instead, he was already regretting his decision, and wanted to take everything he had just said back, go back in time and stop himself from saying it. But, it was over now. It was finished. His friendship with Lulu would never be the same again, and he had just admitted his biggest secret to her - something he hadn't wanted to tell her, but it had finally just blurted out.

Well done, Jack. You've just ruined the best thing you ever had.

Max Henderson was definitely not the easiest person to hide things from, that was for sure. And it wasn't just the fact that he could feel your emotions, either. The way that he could read body language and facial expression also helped him learn how people were feeling, helping him get through in this pain filled world. It was obvious to anyone with a brain that Corentine was upset, or at least angry, by the way that she was sitting, and the glares that were exhibited on her face, direction towards one male in the room in particular. He watched as she copied the moves that he had perfected over the years, downing shot after shot to try and null the emotions that were trying to take her over. That, he had picked up, just because it was his trademark move. His line of view was blocked momentarily by the stunning body of Esme pushing it's way between the two of them, but he decided to ignore her, just as she was going to do to him.

He took a second to watch her ass as she walked away, appreciating the body that he had run his hands over many a time, the ass that he had cupped as she bounced ... yeah, you get the picture. A smirk appeared on the male's lips as he downed the rest of his drink and waved his hand in a short movement, summoning over the bartender. "I'll have whatever she's having." He commented, gesturing over to Corentine - whatever she was drinking seemed to be working on her emotions, dulling them down to the point where she was beginning to loosen up slightly, a feeling that he wanted to know as well. He finished the whiskey quickly before the new drinks were soon placed in front of him and he copied her movements, downing two of them straight away, one after the other. The alcohol was a lot stronger than the vodka and whiskey that he had been drinking, and it hit him with a powerful punch.

Then, Max's hand was wandering up Corentine's bare thigh, his own excitement at where this was going to lead growing. The alcohol was quickly removing any other emotions that had been growing in his mind, dulling them down to a soft droning that he was slowly learning to ignore. A wave of sadness suddenly hit him and he downed another one of the shots, which quickly dulled the emotion down to a small whine. This stuff was good, he had to admit that. Nice work, Miss Quellen. Somehow, their bar-stools had been moved closer together, and it was now easy for Corentine to lean forward. The combined feeling of her lips nipping at his ear seductively, and her hand trailing it's way down his body caused a shiver to make it's way down the male's spine, his body responding to hers almost instantly.

The blunt answer that came out of her mouth almost made the male chuckle, and he down the last couple of his shots after she had leaned back. He followed her line of gaze as she turned, watching the male that she was so upset about walking out with one of his own usual fucks, and he could almost feel that wall of emotions that she was holding up so well, collapse to the ground. So, instead of letting that happen, the male got down from his seat and walked around behind her, holding out his hand for her to take. His lips came to rest against her ear as his deep, sultry voice whispered, "now that, I can help you with," before he softly nipped at the skin below her ear. "Care to follow me up to my room?"

"No-one's going to hate your guts, Lu," Jack sighed in response to her words. Lulu bit into the lip of her plastic cup at his tone, her eyes immediately locking in on her closest and dearest friend. Here he was, the host of the party, and suddenly he looked virtually miserable. It made her mind go back to when she’d visited him for his father’s funeral, when he’d had this front that he put on for most people but then the moment she arrived, he’d lash out because he knew he could. Lulu had taken it all, and no matter how often he told her to leave she hadn't.

"Lu, I can't. I.... can't do... this, any more. I can't," Jack told her. He looked immediately flustered and Lulu became silent. Immediately her teasing and flirtatious side disappeared. Despite the buzz she was starting to feel from her drink, she gave him her undivided attention. When he brought a hand through his hair, she swallowed back the tension she was beginning to feel. Something just felt…off.

"I can't stand here pretending it's okay, that I like talking to you when I know all you want to be doing is talking to him. Your comment earlier, about me being better to you than anyone else - you know that's true. You know that he's just going to end up hurting you, and you still want him. That kills me, Lulu,”
he continued. Lulu felt all color flood from her cheeks and immediately she moved to wrap her arms completely around her chest, bracing herself. He was sounding just like Jaysin. He was sounding like the conscience in the back of her mind that kept kicking her for feeling what she felt for Drake, the playboy who had every girl wrapped around his finger, who just like his sister slept around more than any guy on campus. And as she licked her lips and inhaled a breath she hadn’t known she was holding, Lulu had to admit silently that part of what he was saying was right.

But then another side of her kicked in, the sorry sappy girl who firmly believed that Drake was somewhat different around her. Lulu had to admit, the argument was losing ground.

"I care about you more than you'll ever know or appreciate, Lulu. I always have, and always will. You're beautiful, kind hearted, and the most amazing person that I have ever met; and you deserve so much better than... him," Jack concluded. He exhaled deeply again and Lulu blinked back her desire to just wilt in front of him. Him was all Jackson had to say to refer to Drake. It made her avert her eyes momentarily to the ground, her arms tightening across her bust to hide the v neck of her shirt as she grew more uncomfortable. Exposed. Part of her didn’t believe what he was saying – that she was beautiful, that she was amazing. He had pushed her away so many times. And then it came and hit her harder than a wrecking ball. "I'm in love with you, Lulu,” Jackson admitted. Lulu dropped the cup she had been holding, the residual Pepsi and Jack Daniels splashing into the grass. Her arms fell from where they had been constricted around herself and she looked at him, eyes wide, and just absolutely floored. She had to brace herself on the table to keep her knees from buckling. Lulu opened her mouth to say something but she found her voice completely absent and replaced by a far more bubbly tone.

"Good evening, Lulu, Jackson... You look nice tonight, Lulu, and you as well Jacks--" McKenna smiled, her voice chirpy and cutting the tension but only making the situation all the more awkward. Jackson’s arm slid away from Lulu entirely as McKenna caught sight of his gesture. "I...Hope I'm not interrupting something,” the girl apologized. Lulu shook her head and pursed her lips, forcing a weak smile but find herself floundering for words.

"I just wanted to say this is a great party you have put together..." McKenna thanked Jackson. She bit her lip as the awkwardness seemed to grow. Lulu stared only at Jackson, still doe eyed, still at a complete loss for words.

"Thank you, McKenna. You look very nice, and I hope you enjoy your night,” Jackson replied. He was courteous and put together, his words sincere despite the way he looked at Lulu, the way in which there was almost a hint of pity and soreness.

“I must excuse myself now, I apologize. Lulu, I hope you find someone to fix your door,"
Jackson added. With a nod of his head he moved away from the two girls, his stride not at all faltering as he fled the wreckage he had left behind.

Lulu may well have been shot. Her lips parted the moment he turned away and she hunched over, wrapping an arm around her stomach. She felt wounded and confused. He had just said that he loved her but the way he’d said it, it sounded almost like…he hated himself for it? And the way he’d talked about Drake, the way he noticed how Lulu acted for the Quellen boy, Jackson made it sound like he was waiting for the train wreck to happen. Worse, Lulu wasn’t sure now if he would be there to help her through it if or when it happened. She inhaled as if she had been held under water, her throat catching with panic.

Lulu had loved him. All throughout her childhood, Jackson had been the one person to tell her that she was special, even when her parents loathed her for being powerless and especially when her brother tormented her. He had seen past the bruises and cuts. He had understood the violence and all throughout he had treated her like a princess. Lulu had adored him, and thought of him for so long as a close friend but as something more. When Jackson had moved away from Clinton, it had been earth shattering. Not long later Grey would try to kill her and she would murder her brother with a curse of misfortune. He had been there for her, coming back for the funeral, but he’d left again and she’d been on her own, exploited by her parents to earn them money before finally going to Noctrem on their insistence. She had tried to get into Arcana, or a school with Jackson, but it never happened. Then he had met Beth and then he’d had a child with her. With the birth of his daughter, she had never thought of him in the same way. If he had had a child with this other woman, left her when she needed him most, he clearly didn’t think of her that way. It had been crushing but she’d left that behind and now this…just a few months after the schools merged he claimed he loved her when she had given up on that, on seeing him as more. She had developed her friendship with Drake precisely because she had had no one else. And now Jackson hated her for it, or so it seemed to her.

She was devastated.

Lulu glanced over at the table, where his bottle of Jack Daniels remained beside the bottle of aged rum Drake had gifted her. It made her close her eyes and sigh but the exhale came out as more of a shudder.

“I’m sorry McKenna. I have to go,” she murmured. The blond reached over for the two bottles. Taking one in each hand she moved to flee the venue entirely. She couldn’t be there when he was there. When both of them were there. Rather quickly she found herself pushing through crowds and back into the school. She didn’t realize it but she was starting to hyperventilate by the time she was back at the opened doorway to her dorm. She looked inside at the wreckage and the sight made her lean into the wall and slide to the floor right outside. The tears started but they came silently as she forced herself to breath. Her only solace was the bottle in her hands and she couldn’t kid herself. She didn’t want to feel what she was feeling and the quickest way to get drunk, and beyond it, was to drink the rum with a higher alcohol content. She pulled the cap off of Drake’s rum and pulled the bottle to her lips. Without thinking twice Lulu tilted her head back and let it come. She always seemed to end up alone, she thought sullenly. Jack had admitted that he loved her and yet he'd left immediately after. His voice, the way he'd said it, like it pained him. It made her wince. Perhaps that was the most upsetting thing and she hated herself for making him feel that way. She hated herself plain and simple. It made her feel like Grey and her parents and even Cor were right when they called her a worthless piece of crap.
