Somewhat newly constructed, the Arris is a state-of-the-art building, completely integrated with all new tech. The lot is designed as two separate buildings with a sheltered plaza in between that has multiple storefronts and restaurants/cafes. The first two floors in both buildings are mostly retail, with some food and drink establishments and some wellness treatment centers (massage, facials, etc.) and a gym, with some offices in the middle levels.
Since it’s construction, units at the Arris have been filled with some of the elite of LA. Home to models, celebrities, business moguls and artists it’s one of the hottest parts in the city. Most days you can find the paparazzi lingering around hoping to snap a pic. The mall and plaza have every brand you see on social media, every trendy cafe and new sweet treat - plus a couple dispensaries and a rooftop bar that brings people to the building every day.
Tonight is the second annual Halloween party at the rooftop bar, closed just for the residents of the Arris. It’s guest list is stacked with big names making it one of the most A-list party in downtown LA this Halloween. People are following the socials of the attendees intently, trying to live vicariously through their screen this major event. If there’s one thing anyone knows, where there’s this many celebrities at a party there’s bound to be some drama.

Managed by the Ethereal Model Agency, it houses some of their talent. There are some that go one to get their own place but because of traveling often, there are many that come and go from the LA housing as they please. The agency has a cleaning staff come twice a week but the place gets messy quickly in that span of time. It is decorated tastefully but is without much personality and little more than a tv with cable to entertain them. Each model does get their own bedroom and access to the building’s amenities.
born dominique rhodes, aurore's family was never especially supportive of her dreams to be an actress. nor were they especially supportive of anything else that had to do with her. she grew up feeling like a burden, and acting quickly became more than just a future dream career, but also a means of escape; a door to world far more vibrant and frivolous than the somber one she grew up in. when she finally jumped ship at 16 to pursue her dreams in LA, however, the cynicism of her parents started to become a reality. audition after audition, she was met with silence, and it slowly became clear that passion could only do so much, when one did not have the talent to back it up. it was following another disappointing, failed audition at eighteen that dominique was approached by a scout from a well-known modelling agency. long story short, dominque accepted reality and changed her life's course, changing her name to aurore kitt (after her favourite actress, the late great Eartha), and steadily proved that her talents lay elsewhere, quickly becoming an extremely popular and sought after model. it wasn't her dream, not even close, but hey, at least it's not where she started.
Anwar fell into the industry at a young age. While her mother tried to protect her from the darker side of the industry, once she became of age Anwar let herself fall into the life. The glamour made it all look so pretty she couldn't tell that she was losing herself. She began dating the wrong kind of people and after a particularly bad split, her ex leaked n*des of her to the press. Her agency did damage control to the best of their ability but her name already took a hit. Less work started coming her way, the only thing keeping her signed was her large following. Eventually it blew over but the stain was permanent, earning her a reputation of being a wild party girl. She’s been getting more work again but it’s not the same brands as before and she finds herself wondering if she even wants to do this anymore.
Travis didn't try to get into modeling, nor did he get into the game early on. He grew up on a farm in rural Tennessee, and he was expected to continue the family business and he even liked it. It was hard, but fulfilling for him and kept him in shape. But after some pictures for a local agriculture magazine got submitted to the wrong publisher and spread across media like wildfire, Travis quickly got offers to model. They weren't high paying off the bat, so he decided to do some here and there for some extra money, and eventually left the farm with the good graces of his family and picked up modeling full time. He fills the niche for the country rustic look clients want most the time, but occasionally does some high end fashion and things. He was taught to always be humble and kind, and quickly picked up a sort of nickname and reputation of being a himbo. Moving into the city was a bit of culture shock to Travis, only coming up here occasionally with his ma and pa, and he's still adapting to the city that never sleeps still.
AJ is the golden boy of the Park family. Despite having an identical twin brother, he has always been viewed as the eldest of 3 siblings. Perhaps it is due to his social skills, professionalism, or his inability to say no to his parents. He has long since carried the weight of the Park family's success and fortune on his shoulders, often foregoing his own wants for the needs of the family. His younger sister, Katerina, was born deaf. Because of this, coupled with the fact she is the baby, their parents have always been extremely lax when it came to her wants. On the other hand, his twin brother Noah has made it a point to ignore their parents' wishes all together. This left Aaron as the backbone of the three. He started out taking small jobs at his mother's modeling agency, but very quickly made a name for himself. Unfortunately, the acclaim and prestige he's gained has come at the cost of his freedom. He's never truly been able to live for himself, and though he may avidly deny it, he envies his twin brother for having the guts to walk his own path. This envy is expressed in the form of resentment, which Noah is often quick to return. AJ often finds himself wishing he and Noah could repair their relationship, and go back to the days when they shared everything, but every time he tries to do so, he's met with Noah's disdain.
Imani built her career from the bottom up. Her working-class parents raised her in a run-down section of Brooklyn, New York, where they relied on government aid. Imani has always wanted to appear on the front cover of a magazine since she was a little girl. She was always fascinated by the models and the costumes they wore in Teen Vogue magazines that she received in the mail. They reminded her of characters on film, except this time the image said a thousand words, and the emotions were conveyed via the model's face. She admired the work and urged her parents to enroll her in modeling lessons at one point. However, with five other children to care for, they did not have enough money.
A small modeling agency in the city scouted her at the grocery store when she was eighteen. She posed for them for less than three months before seeing evidence that the agency's photographer was modifying her photographs to make her complexion and eyes seem lighter than they really were, after online criticism that she should bleach her skin to be more attractive. Imani walked away from the agency with dignity and never looked back. The next day, she clapped back at the agency by sharing an unedited picture of herself standing next to a white background and sporting her natural hair with the phrase "too fine to give a damn," then @'ing the photographer and her agency. The shot went viral and was published on fashion week daily news, as well as being retweeted by several prominent celebrities, including Naomi Campbell, Rihanna, Lizzo, and Ariana Grande, who praised the young model.
The model's fan base grew, and it wasn't long before she was in high demand. She now has a new management team in whom she can put her trust. Imani has walked several runways worldwide, and has been featured in major fashion publications such as Vogue and Essence. The model-turned-entrepreneur now operates a thriving organic skincare brand as well as an all-inclusive apparel line that caters to ALL SIZES and body types.
Carefully selected, the artists of this commune all contribute to be a part of their community. Large majority of their wages go to the community pot which goes towards running the commune in their penthouse, food, art supplies and merch. They also host many events, some of which they open to the public to purchase tickets as a way to make profit. While living here an artist has the ability to take off time from work to focus on creating and the freedom to choose which gigs they take without worrying about it affecting their livelihood.
Noah is the second born of the Park family, being just a mere four minutes younger than his twin brother. From a young age, he and AJ were trained to follow in their parents' footsteps. Aaron had the charisma and confidence of their mother. Charming and sociable. An easy fit for the modeling world. Noah had the books smarts. Intelligent and studious. Typically the top of his class. Everything his father hoped he would use in his career as a doctor. But Noah made it clear that he had no interest in pursuing medicine nor modeling. Though his parents pretended to accept it at first, it soon became clear that they favored his other siblings. He often received jabs about his "wasted potential" and not a day would pass that he would not be compared to his brother in some way. Unknowingly, Noah grew to resent AJ and the once close bond began to crumble. With a troubled heart, mostly for his sister's sake, he was the first to move out of the Park estate at the age of 18. He began taking dance gigs any chance he got, sometimes for little or no pay. Fortunately, he soon became a household name within the dance community and moved into The Arris in hopes of staying away from his family. Unfortunately, that peace did not last long.
When The Real Housewives of Los Angeles aired in 2001, Evangeline Ellis and her husband Walker welcomed their only child into the world. With two parents of world celebrity status, Bluebell was expected to do the same. She was constantly featured on RHOLA during Evangeline's segments of the show, and went on to join her own reality show detailing the life of celebrities' children. After a life on TV, and pressure from her home life with an acclaimed actress and one of the top attorneys in the US, Bluebell succumbed to pressure and fell into a party life. Having your dirty laundry aired out for 19 years meant that her recent stay at Oceanside Palace rehabilitation facility, more commonly - and ironically - referred to as "The Palace" by paparazzi, was on every newspaper headline. After her stay, her room at the Ellis residence was not available to her until she "got her act together", so she's been staying with her ex-boyfriend Huck Cromwell until she can do just that - or access her trust fund to get a place of her own.
Dante started out the same way a lot of young musical artists do: sleeping on a blow up mattress in a studio apartment that wasn't his, working over fifty hours a week just to pay his portion of the rent. Now? Now he's topping the charts on all streaming platforms, hitting over 5 million views on every music video. He's able to afford an apartment all on his home, with enough spending money to do whatever he wants. He hasn't even hit the height of his fame and he still can't believe how much his music career his taken off. Growing up in Lithia Springs, Georgia, his mother had to support him and his two brothers on her own, the four of them living out of a two bedroom apartment in one of the worst neighborhoods in the city. After he was kicked out at sixteen, shortly after coming out to his mother, he'd moved to Los Angeles, determined to make it big as a rapper. He was living on the streets, working two jobs, until eventually he had a single that went viral and caught the attention of a prominent Old Country Star. They released that single together and he blew up over night, every radio station in the world playing the song on an endless loop. Determined not to be a one hit wonder, Dante has been working on an his next album that he hopes will hit platinum just like his single did, inspired by his "sinful" life style.
Huck is not new to the celebrity scene, despite his claim to fame as a "songwriter" being a new title. Huck's parents were neighbors to the Ellis family, and their daughter Bluebell was his first girlfriend. It was a typical teenage romance that ended in a very public breakup, but it gave Huck just what he needed to become the folk singer heartthrob that he knew he was always meant to be. He was one of those celebrities that seemed to be just a normal guy before the fame - if you never watched The Real Housewives, and he played that angle every chance he got. Recently, his parents asked him to help out Bluebell with a place to stay after her visit to rehab, and although it would make bringing someone home that much harder, he had a feeling that she wouldn't be here long. Plus, half the time he was in the studio working on new music for another album or working gigs for the commune.
shion has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember, with her love for literature cemented early on in her childhood, by her book-loving father. Her father had always been her most staunch supporter, and so it was devastating when, after a six year battle, her father passed away from prostate cancer. it was only after months of depression that shion discovered a final message from her father, that helped provide some closure, and begin the journey to healing. the grief is far from gone, but now shion channels it into her writing, and her promise to her late father to follow her dreams fuels her passion. it has certainly been a difficult road, but at a very young age, shion has managed to make quite a name (unbeknownst to the general public, of course) for herself as a ghostwriter. she has authored the autobiographies of a number of well-known celebrities. however, her focus is now on completing the final draft of what she hopes will be her debut novel. finally, she hopes to see her own name stamped across her work, instead of someone else's.
A collection of social media influencers, youtubers and rising stars, taken in under the same management and funded to move to LA and given housing. The apartment is completely designed to be built for as many photo-ops as possible. Making sure to have talent across all platforms, the apartment is a popular fixture in viral content making it a locale of note.
Overachieving, overworked, and underappreciated is what would best describe the newest Team 10 member Roxie Powers. Her makeup and vlogging channels, where she weaves activism into unexpectedly pushed her into the limelight at 17. Earning praise from the LGBTQ community public documenting her transition, ending up becoming a role model for queer children too. She's a party girl with a good head on her shoulders. Roxie was able to avoid falling into any scandals, Besides a few underage drinking photos popping up. Roxie moved to LA as soon as she turned 18, to distance herself from her family. Although she loved the move and being out of her parents' control, she feels shitty for leaving her sister behind. Recently Roxie joined famed Team 10, becoming the first trans influencer to join. This was after Team 10 found themselves in some hot water when a now-former member transphobic tweets resurfaced. Her joining Team 10 was met with some backlash, as people thought she was only added for damage control and not her talent. Even Roxie herself questions this.
Lilah Striker grew up in a picture-perfect family. She had the outwardly kind and caring mother who was just a standard housewife to their infidel father that worked as a general surgeon and brought in the money, but the family rarely ever saw him. He had the career and money, and she was the perfect wife because she wanted children and had no issues raising them. Just because the picture and online personas fool people, Delilah saw firsthand that her father was cheating on her mother with some slut at the hospital, her mother was turning to alcohol and her older brother was a heavy stoner. The life that Delilah lived was a mundane and boring one. She wanted to be out at parties and wanted to go wild, so she ended up sneaking out every chance she could get. Upon graduation, she didn't know what she wanted to do and began to film videos for Youtube and go out and take pictures, and became an influencer on both platforms. She grew in popularity quite fast and has ha a series of projects she's working on. Her most recent one has been helping the himbo model Travis maintain his social media which is proving a bigger challenge than she realized.
When you're a D'Angeli, there is little you can escape in the public eye. After her and her husband's run on The Real Housewives of the Upper East Side, Estela and Alphonse D'Angeli welcomed their final child in 2001, moving to Los Angeles soon after. Where Estela would join The Real Housewives of Los Angeles for the following season and her husband would return to take over his recently deceased father's talent agency and move roots for his previously New York based record company. From his birth he was in the limelight, his mother's segments often included him when he wasn't being taken by nannies and butlers, or even put in the care of his own siblings. As soon as he was ten, the male was approached by a producer for a show and was placed on said show for almost three years. Becoming widely popular, he and his family eventually got their own spin-off reality show that focused on them, and from there his popularity soared. The stardom got to his head, and he became a party boy and one filled with scandals. He had decided to live in 'The Commune' in an attempt to reclaim some positive image. Hopefully, it works.
JJ's newfound stardom came as a surprise. It all began with a Tiktok video titled "Meet The Friend Group", which quickly went viral on the internet two years ago, catapulting the California native to fame. Millions of retweets, shares, and likes from those intrigued by the college student with curly hair and a powerful jawline. It wasn't long before it found its way back to JJ. His following rose on all social media platforms, and his DMS was flooded with business proposals, modeling agencies, influencers looking for partnerships, and thirst traps. After the 20-second video went viral, JJ dropped out of college and quit his part-time job at H&M to pursue his dreams of becoming a celebrity. For him, everything has been worth it. But how far will he continue to go until he falls?

Xena is a first-generation American who was born in Houston, Texas at the time. She had strict mostly Spanish-speaking parents that made sure she knew that God was to be an important part of her life. It was the constant talks of religion and the forceful habits of going to church, Sunday school, youth group, and bible studies that made her resent her parents even more as she had no stake in religion. The first time she brought a boy home she swore her mother would have screamed about premarital sex and honestly her mom didn't need to worry about that since then. Feeling constantly controlled is what made Xena move out as soon as possible. She started to go to college, but through her partying phase of alcohol, drugs, and what have you, she flunked out and was homeless for a period of time. She managed to make a deal with a hotel owner, she would work for them doing housekeeping and she would get free room and board. This would lead to her future aspirations as she saved up for some online writing courses and then tried to bargain with other hotel owners around the country as she worked in various places and wrote her reviews on them. After a few years, her posts got traction and she was hired to work for magazines, blogs, anything she wanted really. Xena has somehow done really well for herself and businesses around the globe beg her to come review their establishment.
Isko was born into wealth. His family owned many international businesses, raising their kin between posh penthouses they own across the world. Gifted his families property in LA, he often hosts family but for the most part has the place to himself. He runs the rooftop club and lives just below it. Though he is often seen in celebrity photos, he is extremely low-profile with no socials - except for a fake stan twitter account.
Chanel grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. As the heiress to an international renowned resort chain, she had always been allowed to have it her way, no matter what it was. She figured out how to manipulate her parents at a young age, guilt tripping them into giving her what she wanted the moment she wanted it, hanging their absence over their heads. Their lack of parenting resulted in a young woman starved for attention, equating material things to emotional love. When her guilt trips stopped working she started acting out, getting the attention of every sleazy tabloid she could, making sure she got herself onto the cover. She's the "Wild Child" of Beverly Hills, spending Daddy's money anywhere she can (and we're not talking about her father's money.) As far as an occupation goes? She doesn't have one. She has an only fans account and does sex work on the side, which she mostly uses to search for a new Sugar Daddy. This year's model is a famous DJ who lets Chanel run his booth if she gets him plastered enough.
TW eating disorder (italicized and sized down for you to skip)The Australian born investor started on the international scene in a K-pop girl group Stargirls, under the stage name Luna. After losing both her parents at a young age, she strived for success and her ambitious helped her group become a household name. Those girls were her sisters, they were all a family. She spent most of her late teens and early twenties as a K-pop idol, adored worldwide, but there were a lot of expectations; she was one of the bigger girls in the group, and was told to lose weight or she would be taken out of the group. This struggle, along with her fans seeing her as some perfect doll, lead Luna to unhealthy habits and it all finally crashed down on her when a battle with anorexia and overwhelming stress put her in the hospital. After the incident, she ended her contract early and decided to leave the k-pop scene, using the wealth she’s accumulated to invest and give back to those who supported her. Now only known as Sunny, she recently moved to LA to pursue some investment opportunities at The Arris and around LA, trying to get away from Luna and all the bad memories that life held. She is also a staunch advocate of eating disorder awareness, and holds charity galas frequently to support different organizations.
Cora's mother is a fashion designer who was born and raised in New York City. She had a fascination for fashion and her talented designs earned her an apprenticeship under one of the most renowned designers on Fifth Avenue. She eventually earned a name for herself, starting her own label and moving all the way out to Paris to showcase her work in fashion shows all over Europe. Coraline eventually grew up to be an incredibly talented artist in her own right as well, initially riding the coattails of her mother's own prestigious reputation until she was able to earn enough fame to debut her work in an art gallery. Both her paintings and her sculptures have captured the attention of millions due to their incredibly lifelike, almost photo-realistic quality.
Roy Abernathy was born into a wealthy Scottish family. For generations the Abernathy family has passed down the real estate and rentals they have to their first born child. Roy has had the unfortunate luck of being that idiot that has to take over the family business. He was hardly raised by his parents as he spent most of his time at private boarding schools as he covered for his sister's stupid mistakes, but the good in it was when he met Francine. Him and Francine began to date when he was 16 years old. She made him feel alive and made him want to seek more than just the boring pass down career. It was at 19 after acquiring his graduation gift that he found her cheating on him. He's kicked her out of the building and resorts to many distractions like hosting parties, getting high, or getting drunk. He's a bit of a play boy and has multiple women on the line ready for whenever he gives them the word.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 3 authors
The sun had begun to set, a cool autumn crisp in the air sharpening as the shadows took over the light. City lights reflected against the glass panes along the length of the building, people peering in with no avail. Pooling around all sides were the casual paparazzi, some standing aside smoking a square as they waited for some big names to arrive.
Though the Arris had only been constructed within the last few years, it already was a hot spot. Not only was it home to some of the richest people in the world, but also many rising stars across many industries. That made guest lists for events at the rooftop bar, Mani all the more stacked. On a night like tonight it was a sure thing to get a paycheck hanging around the lot.
“Where you want this, boss?” Alex asked from the end of the bar, carrying two boxes of his wine.
Isko looked over from the station, polishing glasses. He blew his hair back from his face in thought, eyes wandering over the back of the bar seeing where they had space. They had jam packed all the extra inventory they could, utilizing every square inch of space. He set down the glass, shuffling some things around attempting to make space before huffing in defeat.
“You know what, follow me.” Isko finally gave up, gesturing for Alex to follow him. He shook his keys in his hands as he walked, his mind rotating through his list of things he needed to get in order before the party began. It always was like this leading up to an event, no matter how much they prepared. That was the one rule of the business, always prepare for it to go wrong.
Unlocking his office, he gestured for Alex to set the boxes inside before going to his computer to check his emails. Of course there were many strangers who had somehow got ahold of his email and offered monetary compensation for any tips or exclusives he could give them. The offers had been coming more and more as the Arris attracted higher profile names. He glanced at the clock, it was still another hour until other’s arrived and he hadn’t even showered.
Isko didn’t usually like to participate in the events at his club but lately he’d been trying to feel more comfortable delegating tasks. Raised to work, it was against his nature. After Ximena however, he had learned that there was no joy in that life - at least not the kind he could share with another.
Coraline's face filled his mind, Isko lingering for a moment before pushing the sentiment aside to return to his emails. If he was being honest, she was the real reason he had decided to participate in the event this year. Though the two had been living parallel to one another for some time, Isko felt like he hadn’t been able to cross that barrier to assert his intentions - always keeping something between them be it a bar or a plant. Anything to be able to detract from the way he hesitated with his words around her.
Though English wasn’t his first language, he was entirely fluent - but the way Coraline spoke, wrote, even the way she moved it was all poetry. He could listen to her talk for hours, though he often found himself getting so lost in her that he wouldn’t have much to contribute. Unlike others however she actually seemed to be the one to listen, surprising Isko with the things she remembered. It was the small things that made her keep returning to his thoughts.
He logged off his computer, locking his office behind him and spinning his key ring around his finger.Tapping at the bar to get one of the staff's attention, nodding over his shoulder towards the elevator. “I’ll be right back, I’m going to get ready. Text me any questions you have.”
They gave him a nod, Isko giving everyone a wave as he turned towards the elevator already on his phone responding to messages. Between his business and his family there were always unread and unanswered texts or emails. The elevator took him to either floor of his penthouse, his fob key allowing the doors to open right into his living room. He walked out towards the windows, looking below.
Already the cars and crowds had begun to gather, cameras flashing. Isko looked over to Arris West, many of its inhabitants invited to the party at Mani. Unless they had already ventured over earlier in the day, they would have to pass through the crowd below to enter. Though he was certain they all had planned it that way.
Though Isko didn’t usually drink on the job, intent on committing to delegating tonight he poured himself a glass of malbec. Despite his profession he rarely drank, preferring to remain clear headed. Even so, he had appreciation for fine alcohol in its many forms. It’s why he wanted to open a bar to begin with, each cocktail custom created by him and his team. Though to him nothing could compare to a quality glass of wine.
He paused, savoring the moment as he took a drink. It felt like sealing his own promise to himself with a kiss, the red wine wet on his lips. He wiped at his mouth with the back of his hand, taking the glass with him to his master suite to get ready.

That was the thing about Huckleberry; he always knew the right words to say and the right time to say them. Over the past few months of dating in secret, he’d somehow managed to make AJ feel wanted in spite of his insecurities. The modeling world had never been kind to anyone, but especially not to someone like AJ Park. Every photoshoot gave birth to a new insecurity, another part of himself to doubt, but Huck’s comfort and company felt like healing. That’s all AJ needed, at least for now.
With a sigh of defeat, he let his body plop down onto the bed behind him, the plush comforter molding to his curves. Thoughts wandered back to just a bit ago. AJ had sat Huck on the bed, proclaiming that he could probably do a much better job of recreating Eren Yeager with the help of some costume makeup. After all, he’d done this sort of thing many times before. Once Huck’s look was finished, he moved on to do his own make up, reshaping his own face into one Levi Ackerman. It was all going smoothly, and they would seemingly be finished getting ready just in time for the event. Until it was time to strap on the gear. Try as he may, he couldn’t get them to fit right. He had no choice now but to wait and ask for Huck’s help.
Huck spent most of his time in the bathroom looking at every angle of himself in the mirror. While he was a big fan of his appearance, it was mainly to determine if this size of shorts was too short or if they covered just enough. Going as Eren Yeager’s titan form was mainly an excuse to walk around shirtless all night, and AJ had helped him with the makeup considering he was pretty clueless - and AJ was right, he was better at it anyway; AJ was better at a lot of things, Huck learned quickly. After taking one final look and assuming that any slips from the small pair of shorts would be appreciated by onlookers, he called from the bathroom: ”Did you get those harnesses on?”
AJ was… different. Huck had never formed a serious relationship with a man, and yet, for months now, his mind was stuck on AJ. This smiling, adorable man that had taken his attention since they met. It wasn’t quite love just yet -
As Huck moves back into his bedroom, he smirks as he leans against the wall, noticing that AJ was on his bed without said harnesses on. He saunters forward, laying himself next to AJ on the bed and propping his head on one elbow to look at AJ. ”That looks like a no. Did you need my help… or do you just want me to help you?” Huck asks, his boyish grin ever present as he winks at AJ. The harnesses were sure to put up a struggle, but it was fun to tease AJ and get the opportunity to help him get them situated on AJ’s body.
A few seconds of staring at the ceiling and Huck had wandered his way back out of the bathroom in the one piece of clothing he would be wearing all night. AJ often found himself wishing he had an ounce of the confidence that Huck carried, but the more he tried the less he felt it. His head turned in Huck’s direction as he was joined on the bed, just in time to catch the wink thrown his way. The subtle warmth made its way onto AJ’s cheeks, the thought of Huck’s hands traveling all over his body as he steadied the harnesses made him break eye contact. He was well aware that Huck could still see the rosy color adorning his face, which only made him blush more.
In an effort to detour Huck’s attention, AJ quickly got to his feet. He glanced at the harnesses, Huck’s question replaying in his head. Did he actually need the help or did he simply want it? He decided to not give that question an answer, but instead held out a hand for Huck to take, a small pout settling on his lips. ”Help me please…”. AJ was not the type to ask others for help, but he was tired and had already given up on trying to make sense of the garment. Plus, Huck’s help was never unwelcomed.
The flirtatious words and wink did exactly what Huck wanted them to. Although AJ moved from the bed, trying to hide his fluster, he was able to see it before AJ moved away. Huck pulled himself from the bed, following behind AJ as he took the harnesses from their spot on the floor and held them out to Huck. The words were sweet as they accompanied the cutest pout on AJ’s face, and with a wider grin, Huck tilted his face up by the chin and pressed a quick peck on that little pout. ”I was already going to, but since you asked so nicely…” Huck replied, taking the harnesses and pulling AJ over to the full length mirror so he could watch and make sure that the harnesses were in the right place.
The idea for the characters was AJ’s idea, after he had convinced Huck to start watching Attack on Titan. Huck had always thought that he’d never be interested in anime, but they ended up binging the first season in one night and Huck was hooked. Plus, the idea of having a couple’s costume together - even if no one would know - was wildly satisfying. He started with the leg portion of the harnesses, which proved to be just as difficult as Huck imagined. ”I didn’t think this would be so difficult when you suggested this costume,” Huck admits with a chuckle, moving down onto his knees to untangle the leg harnesses and buckle them together on AJ’s legs.
The small smile that settled onto AJ’s face after the kiss lingered up until the first set of harnesses was pulled on. One of his hands rested on Huck’s shoulder for balance, while the other attempted to help. He watched as Huck somehow managed to make sense of the mess and tightened the straps around his thighs, despite his comment. ”I’m sorry…” he muttered as he watched Huck move onto the other leg. ”I didn’t plan this far ahead.”. Part of him felt guilty for picking the more complicated costume, but somehow it didn’t seem like Huck minded. In fact, it almost seemed like he was enjoying it a bit too
There was still a mild flush of pink on AJ’s face as Huck finished tightening straps that hugged his thighs and waist. Taking a quick glance in the mirror reminded AJ of just how tight his pants were, enhanced even more so by the equally tight harnesses. He quickly looked away from his reflection, glancing at the last piece of gear that was meant to hug his torso. ”Thank you!” he chimed, adding a quick peck to Huck’s cheek before stretching out his hand for the remaining harness. ”I can probably handle that one.”
Truthfully, Huck was probably enjoying this more than AJ. He’d said the last comment about the difficulty as a tease, since he would have insisted AJ do the Levi costume rather than himself if AJ hadn’t picked it out. When he was fixing the hip straps, Huck didn’t miss the color that took to AJ’s face, and had a tease on the tip of his tongue when AJ kissed his cheek and asked for the rest of the harnesses. He hadn’t missed the look in the mirror either, assuming that caused AJ to want to finish on his own. Huck had dated plenty of models to understand the insecurity that came with people judging their body every day, and recognized it early on in AJ. He never saw what made AJ so insecure - he always thought AJ was the most gorgeous person he’d ever met - but he could still sympathize.
So instead, he kept the harnesses and started to fit them on AJ’s chest, turning him to face Huck instead of the mirror this time. ”I could let you handle it, but why would I want to?” Huck answers in a flirtatious tone, hooking the harness in with the rest and fitting it to AJ’s chest. He wanted AJ to have a good time tonight, and obsessing over how his costume fit was not a recipe for a good time. Once the costume was complete, he stepped back and gave AJ a full look over, before stepping back in and grinning wildly at him. ”There you are, captain. You’re gonna get all the ladies tonight. Should I be jealous?” Huck teases, his hands resting comfortably on AJ’s waist.
Every part of AJ told him that he couldn’t pull off such an elaborate costume, though he already knew that long before putting it on. His game plan had been to ignore those doubts and just have a good time. Still, he couldn’t help but feel self conscious, even as the tight straps hugged his body in all the right places. But as usual, Huck shut those thoughts down as he ignored AJ’s halfhearted request and continued to help. He couldn’t hide the blush that had steadily marked his cheeks, nor did he attempt to. Instead, he accepted Huck’s praise, responding with one of his own. ”I think I should be the one asking that.”.
Thought his tone was playful, AJ was well aware of how popular Huck was. This often led him to ask himself what it was that the singer-songwriter even saw in him to make him want to stick around. He was never brave enough to ask, he only hoped that whatever it was, it was enough. AJ’s hands carefully rested on Huck’s chest as he reached up for a kiss, thankful for the brief boost of confidence. ”Should we get going?”
Huck’s words seemed to boost AJ’s mood somewhat, and the party was sure to help as well. Part of him wanted to stay and just indulge in AJ’s company. The pair wasn’t out yet, and even though they were heading to the party together in a couple’s costume, Huck wouldn’t be able to stay as close as he wanted without causing suspicion. It was a mutual decision since neither man was comfortable with coming out, but he would have enjoyed the looks on his exes’ faces strolling in with AJ on his arm. And being able to kiss AJ whenever he wanted. Unfortunately, their time together would be on pause until the party was over. Huck indulged in one last kiss, hugging AJ’s body to his, before pulling away towards the door. ”After you, handsome.”

Tonight, the Mani was hosting a Halloween party. Anyone who was anyone was expected to attend, including Coraline herself. Normally she would’ve politely declined an offer like this, not really one to involve herself in these kinds of social situations if she could avoid it, even when receiving a personal invitation from the owner. When it’s a personal invitation from the owner of Mani, however, she had happily made an exception.
Coraline would never pass up the chance to spend time with Isko Alvarez.
He’s been her upstairs neighbor since she moved to Los Angeles about a year and half ago, and a good friend for the better part of several months. With how busy he likes to keep himself and how much he throws himself into his work, Cora has actually found herself setting aside time for the club owner just to be able to see him. She’s done the same for Mae Chin Sun – Sunny, as Cora and many others are accustomed to calling her – on multiple occasions but setting time aside for a woman was a lot more in Coraline’s character. Her mother had brought her up to never rely on a man for anything, especially emotional comfort. Men were accessories for Quinn women, to be used and quickly discarded like an out of season pair of shoes. Cora couldn’t do that with Isko. He was kind, reserved, and respectful – the kind of man you could trust to be there for you no matter what. She likes being about to sit in a room with him, the two of them doing their own activity, and simply exist with one another in companionable silence. That kind of quality time was so rare and so cherished, and it wasn’t something Cora would willingly let go.
It was nearing the start of the party by the time she was done. She was thankful that the party was being held in the same building she lived in, not wanting to have to deal with the crowd of people outside. Cora had no reason to bring a pocketbook with her on this adventure. Her phone was strapped to her inner thigh by a black lace garter, and she was able to get into her apartment with an app she’d downloaded when she first moved in. She didn’t have to bring any money; the bartenders knew her well and she always kept up with her tab. With all this in mind, Cora was able to step out of the elevator and into the rooftop lounge with full confidence, making her way to the bar just as she’s done several times before. She was met with a familiar face, a bartender she’s come to know on a first name basis.
“Happy All Hallow’s Eve, Alex.” Coraline says, her accent giving away her origins, it made her voice sound almost harmonic, a melodic tune that was always gentle on the ears. She took a seat at the end of the bar in her usual spot, taking in the barkeep’s attire. He was dressed in all black - slacks, button down, and waistcoat – strictly professional despite the festivities. If you knew Isko like Cora knew him, it didn’t come as much of a surprise.
Alex greets her with a smile, “And a happy Halloween to you too Miss Quinn,” his voice with light with amused glee, looking her over in complete wonder. “Or should I say, Mrs. Adams. I sure hope you convinced the boss man to dress up as Gomez.”
Cora smiled to herself, the image of her and Isko dressing in a “couple’s costume” bringing a soft blush to her cheeks. “I did not, unfortunately,” though now she wishes she had thought of it.
“Can I fix you a glass while you wait?” Alex asked, “I can let the boss know you’re here when I see him.”
“That would be great, Alex. Thank you.”
With a nod and a smile, he quickly poured a glass of red wine. It was malbec, she believed, and an excellent year. He tended the bar close by, keeping an ear out for her as he always did, just in case she needed a refill. She always liked Alex, and she tipped very well – which is probably why he liked her. That, and the fact that he and few of the other bartenders seemed to ‘ship’ her with their boss. She allowed herself to get lost in thought as she waited for more people to arrive, sipping at her wine as she watched the small cluster of people gyrate on the dancefloor.

A small modeling agency in the city scouted her at the grocery store when she was eighteen. She posed for them for less than three months before seeing evidence that the agency's photographer was modifying her photographs to make her skin complexion and eyes seem lighter than they really were, after online criticism that she should bleach her skin to be more attractive. Imani walked away from the agency with dignity and never looked back. The next day, she clapped back at the agency by sharing an unedited picture of herself standing in front of a white background and sporting her natural hair with the phrase "too fine to give a damn," then @'ing the photographer and her agency.

TW: eating disorder (italicized and sized down for you to skip)
The Australian born investor started on the international scene in a K-pop girl group Stargirls, under the stage name Luna.
Re: The Arris

Re: The Arris
Connor comes from a hellacious background that he likes to keep private and rarely opens up about. His mother passed away from pneumonia a few days after his third birthday and his father never, ever remarried when he was younger. Ever since his mother passed, that was when his life took a turn for the worst. His father became very abusive towards him, physically and started drinking heavily. Connor was blamed for his mother's death for a very long time by his father. When his attempts at dating fell through, Connor was blamed. It was when Connor turned the age where he was very knowledgeable about certain things that he ran away and unexpectedly ran into someone in the modeling business. He hasn't looked back since then.

Re: The Arris
Of course you're welcome, I adore Taylor LaShae so having you join is a must!
Sapphire Totally makes sense. I would say depending what direction you want to lean with Avos, be it if he's more known for his acting or as a reality show star. If he's known for his acting then Blossoms Commune seems like a perfect fit, if he's more known as a reality show star and he's trying to get into acting I would go the Team 10 route. I will leave that up to you, just let me know which and I can add him to the front page.
I'll shoot both of you an invite to the discord since you've got a WIP submitted!
ANNOUNCEMENT
Until all outstanding reservations are completed or expire, I'll be closing open reservations for the time being.
If you are still interested, reach out to me via DM and maybe we can work something out.

Re: The Arris
Re: The Arris
One question/suggestion - I'm a little confused about his profession. In the concept write up you mention a record company, does he make music too or is that his dad's company?
Just an idea (and not one you have to go with) would you consider placing Avos in the Team 10 group? I feel like that would work really well for a reality tv star, unless you want to lean into the artist element more so. We do have a reality star in the commune currently, but she's more crashing than living there - but def still doable to put another there. Let me know and once you do I will add him to the front page. Once you send in a WIP I will send you the link for the discord.
ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OTHERS
I have one other person who has reached out about a spot in Blossoms Commune (esoteric) so at this moment until any other reservations fall through - I am no longer accepting reservations for characters in the Blossom's Commune until we balance other things out. ♥
Also - just something sort of fun:
I like to make manips/fake instagram gossip posts and have two faceclaims in the rp that are pictures a lot with Chantel Jeffries - so it'd be a cool faceclaim for someone to use for this rp.
Re: The Arris
Hopefull, it works.
Re: The Arris
Born for the stage Teddy Wolfe loves to preform for a crowd, be that singing, dancing, doing drag. Most of the time Teddy is on stage his preforming under the drag name Teddi Bare. Part of the famous LA drag family Play House, Teddi has made a name for herself as a dancing and fashion queen. About a year ago Teddy moved from a sweltering, dingy apartment into Blossom's Commune this has allowed him to perform drag full time, with her main venue being Arris Rooftop Club. Teddi plans to make herself a household name, or as close as a drag queen can get. With a killer brain, and style its only a matter of time.
Re: The Arris
For any other future joiners: At this moment we are looking for members for Team 10. There's still openings for the others but I'd like to get one more into that influencer group to balance it out.
Also if anyone has an idea for a big celebrity or some hotel heir/heiress for an owner - still plenty of openings for owners in the building.
Re: The Arris

Re: The Arris
He often received jabs about his "waisted potential" and not a day would pass that he would not be compared to his brother in some way.
