Connor Evans's Story

Connor was crouched on the roof next to the benders academy "I'm late... oh well" he pulled his hood down, jumped from the roof and walked into the academy

"Welcome." you two he said to the boy and girl who looked like they were from the Fire Nation based on their apparel.
He turned to the both of them, they seemed to be confused.
"Please stand in line, we are now demonstrating out favorite bending move. This is how I will see your strengths and weaknesses. So please try to impress me, and focus."
He smile and turned his head to the person who was next.

Connor walks up to the avatar calm... Stay calm... Nothing to worry about... Your just demonstrating one of your best techniques to the most powerful bender in the world!! Ok, not helping Connor took a deep breath and started moving his hands in a circle, creating a ring of fire, he did this once more, creating two rings, he held them like weapons and threw them at the wall, but dispersed the flames before the wall was damaged. Connor sighed, why did I do that one?! It's not finished yet.

The avatar was impressed with the fire bender.
"You have to have some guts to hold your fire like that. You just need to increase your fire endurance, very well."
He boy from the Fire Nation walked to the avatar and stood next to him and his students.
"Wow I'm impressed with everyone so far, so whose up next?" he said all enthusiastically.

"Yes, I hope everyone was paying close attention to her demonstration. See position is another key. Her pose and they way you control your body matters."
"Good job, you just need more practice with controlling your element. I can see that your fire isn't weak but is actually strong. We need to teach you how to control your flame." He said to the fire bender who looked like she was from Republic City.
She left her position and joined the others.

"Now. I everyone real quick, then we'll go back to demonstrating, I want you guys to inahle then exhale deeply. Close your eyes when you breathe, bring all notice to your senses and calm your mind. Now slowly saw your left arm then your right, can you guys feel the flow?" He opened his eyes and saw that each student was doing perfectly fine, just like he instructed.

He did a sign for the next person to come ahead and demonstrate.

The Avatar noticed immediately knew who this guy was. He was the grandson of Tai Shan, a dear friend of his from the Fire Nation.
"I see you must be the grandson of Tai Shan, I'm not surprised he taught you his secrets to bending blue fire."
The Avatar snapped his finger and a blue flame appeared at the top of his finger tips.
"I see that you have no problem creating your fire and shaping it, you're weakness is extinguishing it. That's no problem, we can teach you that here. Good job."
The boy walked and stood with the others.
The Avatar nodded his head as a sign for the next person to proceed.

blue fire and lightning?! That guys got some serious skill! Connor whispered to Gabriel "hi my name's Connor, what's yours?"

Gabriel was very surprised with what Avatar Lee had said about his grandfather but, of course the Avatar might have met his grandfther whenever he was trying to master everything in the elements. Gabriel then looked over at Connor,"Oh, my name is Gabriel. Nice to meet you Connor." Smiling at the male, he had watched him before. He liked how he held his fire, not long but, it was enough for him to be impressed with it. He remembered when he was training with his trainer and he couldn't hold not even a single thing of fire

The Avatar nodded his head to the Southern water tribe girl.
"Nice control of the wave, and I can tell it's a new trick. A bit shaky but not nothing that we cannot help you with. Nice."
The Avatar turned to the other students that have just entered the room.
"Welcome to the Academy, please step in line and when it's your turn demonstrate your favorite bending technique. Try to impress me." he said with a smile.
The other students that have completed their demonstrations all seem to get along and enjoy the Academy so far, well wait til training starts.
He did a gesture with his hands for the next person to demonstrate.

Xenon stepped forward with his hair parted left Covering his Naturally Black colored eye and leaving his white one out for show and tell with a straight face that wouldn't budge. He stood at the foot of the pond and started with a smooth and graceful set of hand movements that raised 3/4's of the water out of the pond using a 360 degree pivoting foot he started with his arms on opposite sides and he quickly shaped the water into a Magnificent Aquatic Phoenix with little detail on the Talons. When the quick creation of this bird was complete he started flying it around managing to make it breath water out at the other students catching it with his bending threw the water back into the air and leaving tiny droplets in the air behind the phoenix creating a rainbow.

He quickly then started trembling and barley got the water back into the pond and the Phoenix started sinking into the remaining pond water with the water level rising back to normal. Xenon quickly felt terrible , Started feeling exhausted and managed to start breathing hard. For the 35 seconds he had the bird up he devised the time like this 5 Seconds to get water 17 seconds to create the Phoenix 10 seconds to fly and do tricks 3 seconds to Return the water. Then Xenon's knees felt weak he realized that he'd need a support beam to stand soon so he looked to the Avatar awaiting a response with his hair now parted right exposing his black colored eye . "You said try to impress you." Xenon thought in his head "Give it your all or give it nothing at all " The words echoed in his head

"Ah I see, a water bender from Republic City. You did an excellent job on controlling you water bending. Very clean."
He nodded as a sign for her to join the others.

Now before we go back to more demonstrations I want everyone to grab a piece of your element in your hand. He said walking up and down in front of his students changing the elements on the surface of his palm.
Fire benders I want you to concentrate on that flame, look into it like as if it were a soul. [The fire would of gotten bigger if concentrated.]
Earth benders I want you to concentrate on those small pebbles you have in your hand. [The pebbles would of moves in circles if done correctly.]
Water benders I want you to concentrate on the small drop of water that is placed in your hand. [The water would of extended bigger, and caught the shape of the person's hand if done correctly.]
And air benders I want you to concentrate on the air all around you and place it into your hand. [ A mini swirl would of came upon their hands.]

The secret to bending is not just using your body and muscles, the major reason of your bending is using your mind.

"Ok, ok, I got this, I didn't spend all those years training for nothing" Connor took a deep breath and made a small fire above his palm, he waited and stared at the flame, a few seconds past and the flame grew bigger. I did it! Connor lost focus as soon as he thought about him doing it, the flame shrank and Connor stopped the flame. "I wonder how everyone else is doing" Connor mumbled to himself, he looked around, one kid was passed out while another was shaking him, one kid seemed to be having fun with his air bending. Connor walked up to the air bender and watched him bend This guy is very good at concentrating Connor thought. He waited until the guy noticed him.

Another bender was making a fire grow, but Alexander didn't notice. He was too busy having fun making the wind dance around his body, so he couldn't notice the fire bender even if he was burned. He didn't notice the kid who passed out or the kid who was shaking, since he was concentrating a lot on his bending. A male fire bender walked towards Alexander, but Alex didn't notice the guy until he felt like if someone was watching him. "Huh?" He wondered who was bothering him, so he didn't notice that the wind he had was about to dissipate. The ball of air he had blew his hair backwards, so Alex was able to put his full attention on the person who approached him. His facade of being cold-heated returned, but he wouldn't be nice to the person unless the person tried to become friends with Alex. "Hello, do you need something?" He had no emotion in his voice when he said this. Does this guy need something from me or did I do something I wasn't supposed to do? He thought this to himself, but he wouldn't ask unless the person said something about the topic.

"No, I was just watching your air bending" Connor extended his hand "the name is Connor Evans, yours?" Connor smiled. I wonder why he was so happy when he was air bending, but now he seemed really cold Connor waited to hear the guys name. I hope this guy doesn't mind me interrupting him

"No, I was just watching your air bending" Connor was replying with this, so Alex decided not to instantly ignore Connor. Connor extended his hand towards Alex and Alex shook the hand, but only as a formality and not as a friendly handshake. He only acted friendly towards his friends, but this kid was not his friend and Connor would have to convince Alex to become his friend. "the name is Connor Evans, yours?" Connor smiled when he said this, so Alex was considering becoming friends with Connor. "The name is Alexander. I'd tell you my last name, but I don't remember it and my parents aren't able to be questioned due to me not knowing if they're even alive." Alex had no malice in his voice or any emotions, since he felt no need to present any emotions to Connor, yet. "I'm only cold to those I do not consider my friends, so do not take my behavior personally." He didn't feel any need to hurt someone's feelings, since he was not a bully and he did not plan to be one. He told Connor his reasons for acting cold, since Connor would be able to choose to try to become Alex's friend or not even bother to try. Alex didn't mind the fact that he was interrupted, since he could have fun anytime that he wanted to. I'll consider having him as a friend, if he actually tries to become my friend. If he doesn't even want to try, then he will be of no use as a friend. He thought this to himself, while studying the fire bender and his responses to his statement.

"Well I'm in the same predicament as you, since I have no idea who my parents are. Anyway I just wanted to meet someone not from the fire nation, well, I'll see you around, it was really nice meeting you Alexander, I hope to see you around" Connor grinned and went back to where he was sitting before. He seems like an ok guy, maybe we could become friends

Alexander

"Well I'm in the same predicament as you, since I have no idea who my parents are. Anyway I just wanted to meet someone not from the fire nation, well, I'll see you around, it was really nice meeting you Alexander, I hope to see you around" The kid was somehow getting through Alex's facade and actually managed to get Alex to consider becoming friends, so Alex hastily managed to regain his composure. He noticed the kid who was on the floor, but he didn't care and he just ignored the bender. He let the wind flow around him, since he needed to block out sound. He let some oxygen in his controlled cyclone, since he didn't want to lose consciousness from not being able to breathe. He had an been trained in air bending by a master, and this was where he learned to make a cyclone to block out all noise and not be bothered. He couldn't hear anything said to him and only an experienced bender could penetrate his cyclone, but no one would have to due to his cyclone not being a danger to others. He stopped his cyclone from spinning and left the room, since he didn't have anything left to do. "I shall leave for today." He directed this towards the Avatar, but it wasn't a question. He had nothing to do and his mind was jumbled, so he would only be a hinderance and he didn't know how long he could keep up his facade of being cold-hearted. He wanted friends, but he didn't know if he could trust anyone. He walked randomly and without a goal, since he had nowhere specific to be. He began ignoring any sound by making any sound directed towards him bounce off, so people would have to physically touch him to get his attention. He felt exhausted, since he had used quite a bit of his stamina trying to use his bending. Making sound bounce off of him was easy, so it didn't require much movement be besides constant talking.
