“I don't feel any shame, I won't apologize
When there ain't nowhere you can go
Running away from pain when you've been victimized

He’s the son of rage and love. He grew up in a small shithole town, with a single mother who wasn’t around half the time and she was always bringing home dead beat boyfriends. If his mother wasn’t on drugs she was at the bars an when she wasn’t at the bars, she was passed out on the couch. St. Jimmy practically raised himself. As he grew up, the streets became his play ground and the underground scene became his home. Drug dealing was his game, chaos and destruction his pleasure.

By age eighteen he was a certified punk rock freedom fighter, with a goal of anarchy, and occasionally flirting with the idea of suicide. He could never get along with his mother, in fact its safe to say he hated her. His wild heart made him every girls project, trying to fix his damaged spirit, while his dangerous side was every girls nightmare and the reason they would run. Eventually his small town wasn’t cutting it for him and so without a word he up and left making his way to the City of Lost Angels.

"Cigarettes and ramen and a little bag of dope
I am the son of a bitch and Edgar Allan Poe
Raised in the city in a halo of lights
Product of war and fear that we've been victimized"

Whatshername was born in Los Angeles, California to her stripper mother and her abusive drunk father. Her mother didn’t want her, because she put a damper on her lifestyle so her father was forced to take her. If her father wasn’t beating her, he was drinking or passed out. She wasn’t even sure how she survived, growing up because to say her father neglected her would be an understatement. She grew up on the bad side of town, where there were nightly shootings and a drug dealer on most corners. Outside her trailer park, was a mature world.

She grew up fast, she had no choice. By fifteen, she’d lost count of the number of older guys she’d had sex with and she’d tried almost every drug on the market. She was living fast and as far as she was concerned she was going to die young. Whatshername, never had it easy, bad luck and heart ache was waiting for her at every corner. At seventeen she dropped out of school and joined “The Underground” a gang of rebellious young adults and misfits that spent most of their nights at an abandoned warehouse known as Graffiti Hall.

"She sees the mirror of herself
An image she wants to sell
To anyone willing to buy
He steals the image in her kiss
From her hearts apocalypse
From the one called whatsername"

She's nineteen going on thirty-five.
He's a lost soul on the path of self destruction.
So what happens when two broken souls, find comfort in each other?

She’s just as psychotic and lost as him. Ever since they meet they’ve been inseparable. She’s the one girl who’s never been afraid of him and he’s the only guy that she’s ever trusted. But bad luck follows him everywhere and her heart is restless. She’s too scared of commitment and he’s scared of losing her. When their short lived piece of heaven starts crumbling will they fight through the fallout together or will they lose each other in their cruel world of drugs, sex, and suicide?

Only time will tell in this tragic, fallen youth love story.

"Forget me nots and second thoughts live in isolation
Heads or tails and fairytales in my mind
Are we we are, are we we are the waiting unknown
The rage and love, the story of my life
The Jesus of suburbia is a lie "

The sun was starting to come up over the tall buildings in downtown Los Angeles. The early autumn air was cool, as Veronica and Vincent made their way through the trailer park, both of them coming down from a high and trying to sober up as best as possible, before they got home. They’d been out partying like most nights. Once they finally got to their trailer, Vince gestured for her to go first and she slipped off her heels, grabbing them and letting them dangle from one hand as she quietly went up the stairs followed by her brother.

Inside, it was a mess like usual, because no one besides Vince and Ronnie ever cleaned the damn house. Ronnie set her shoes down by the door, glancing to the couch where her little sister Olive had fallen asleep. She immediately started picking up stuff, Vincent followed suite. It was routine for them, they knew the drill.

In a matter of minutes, they had the placed cleaned. Ronnie lend against the small counter in the kitchen as their cat Jinx rubbed against her legs.

“Kristin and dad are both gone aren’t they?” she whispered as he brother put the milk in the fridge. He glanced up to her giving her a nod. “What the fuck.” She ran her hand through her tangled platinum hair. “Four days, without even calling.” She sighed.

She watched as Vincent shrugged, grabbing the last apple from the fruit bowl, taking a bite. “Who knows? But if they don’t give a shit about Pixton, Olive, or Mary. I don’t give a shit about them.” He said honestly. “Now, we got shit to do. “ He smirked a smirk that was identical to hers as he tossed her the apple and she caught it rolling her eyes. “You’re looking thin Mouse.” He said raising his brow as if he knew she’d stopped eating.

She rolled her eyes watching him walk down the short hall before disappearing into the room he shared with their little brother Pixton. She looked at the apple as if she was debating taking a bit from it but she decided against it, setting it on the counter. She headed down the short, slipping into the room she shared with her two sister’s next to Vince and Pixton’s.

Mary-Jane was still asleep on the top bunk. She slipped out of her skin tight black dress, slipping into something a little bit more comfortable. She brushed out her long, hair that reached well passed her hips. She absolutely love her hear, she’d been growing it since she was little and she only trusted herself to trim it.

Finally she made her way back to the door, switching on the light causing her sister to groan miserably. “Get up MJ or you’re going to be late for school.” She called out to her sister.

“Fuck school, you and Vinny dropped out so why can’t I?” she said sitting up irritated.

“Because, I don’t want you to end up a loser like Vincent and I. Now get your ass out of bed.” She said in a stern tone of voice as she slipped out, her sister let out a frustrated sigh.

She headed into the kitchen, passing the bathroom, smiling when she saw Vince doing Pixton’s hair. She started breakfast before going over to the couch and gently wake up Olive, she was the easiest and she always listened. Finally Vince and Veronica managed to get their siblings off to school.

Ronnie flipped on the stereo, sticking one of her CDs in it. She turned it up as loud as it would go. The the song started playing and Vince smirked as he grabbed a bottle of liquor from, for their stash. He laughed as he watched Ronnie dance and sway to the music. She watched as Vince sat down on the couch and she danced over to the table grabbing the pack of cigarettes and lighting one and taking a drag from it.

“Mouse, don’t get mad alright.” She heard Vincent say but she was paying more attention to the beat of the music then her brother, she just nodded letting him know she’d heard him. “Jimmy and Jack are coming by for a bit.” She had her back turned to her brother and she froze.

She was alright with Jack, in fact her and Jack had slept together a few times and he gave her drugs when she needed them, they were cool. St. Jimmy on the other hand, she wasn’t so fond of. She wasn’t sure what it was but they’d never really gotten along, every time they were in the same room, they seemed to find something to fight about.

“Fuck Jimmy.” She spat harshly “Why’d you invite him.” She rolled her eyes, the news killing her mood. She sunk down onto the couch with her brother, snatching the bottle from his hand and taking a swig.

“I didn’t exactly invite him Veronica.” he snapped glaring at her grabbing the bottle back. “You know him and Jay are just as close as me and you. Their a package deal just like you and me.” He rolled his eyes.

“Call me Veronica again, see what happens.” She hissed. Aside from Jimmy, Vincent was the only one who was willing to challenge Ronnie. She had a bad reputation, for being downright nasty and most people didn’t mess with her.

He'd been dreaming, that much Caden could remember. From what he could remember, he'd been dreaming about the life that he'd left behind. He'd been back in Florida, living with his mother. Not that Caden could really call her that. He'd dreamed of his last day there. Of how his mother had come home in the early morning hours completely drugged out of her mind. They'd began arguing and things had escalated quite badly. That had been his breaking point. Caden couldn't take it any longer. He'd left that afternoon and had never looked back.

Caden began his day, as every other day. He'd woken up next to some girl that he'd been with the night before. This time, however, it was a young woman that he'd slept with a few times over the years. Her name was Sarah though Caden would normally not refer to her by her name. He remained laying next to the young woman for a few moments before he finally got up and got ready for the day. While he was getting dressed, Sarah got dressed and left quietly. She knew the drill. They would meet again when they needed it again. When he was ready, Caden grabbed his backpack that he kept filled with everything that he would need that day.

He spent his morning working the streets, selling drugs to those that thought that they needed them. Once he'd sold everything that he'd brought with him, Jimmy made his way to the Gaffiti Hall. It did not take him long and once he was there he quickly made his way inside and found Jay barking orders to a few of the lower ranking members of the gang. As he walked into the room that his friend was in, Jimmy smiled. This is where he belonged..where he felt wanted..needed.

He slowly approached the older man and waited patiently for him to acknowledge him. After Jay was finished with the young man he'd been talking to, he turned to Jimmy. "Hey, man." Jay said, nodding at his second. "We're heading over to the Princess's and Pretty Boy's. Get you supplies restocked and meet me downstairs in ten." Jimmy nodded and watched as the older man walked away, taking care of some last minute business.

Jimmy made his way out of the room and headed upstairs where they kept all of the supplies. There were several people in the room, packaging everything and storing it neatly so that everything was easy to find. Jimmy told those in the room what he needed and he quickly stocked up. He then made his way out of the room and back downstairs. He exited the building to find Jay's car waiting on him. Jay was standing beside of it, smoking. "Took you long enough, fucker." Jay said, quickly getting into the car. Jimmy merely rolled his eyes as he got into the car.

Jay took off and the drive really didn't seem to take all that long. They arrived at the trailer that they were heading to and Jay parked the car however he didn't move to get out. "Do me a favor..be nice. I don't know what it is with you and Princess but just..try not to start anything." With that, Jay got out not allowing Jimmy time to answer. Jimmy got out and followed his friend to the door of the trailer. Jay knocked and they waited for someone to answer.

When the door opened, Jay smirked. "Took you long enough." he said, leading the way into the trailer. He immediately went and sat on the couch. Jimmy followed and joined his friend. He sat his backpack on the ground next to him. Jay waited for the other two to join them before speaking again. "Drinks, Pretty Boy." Jay said, eyeing the younger man. He then turned his gaze to Princess. "It's been a while since I've seen you. How've you all been?" Jimmy merely watched the two together. He wasn't stupid. He knew that they'd had sex a few times. He couldn't stand Baby. Not at all. If it were up to him he wouldn't even be there. He was trying hard to not say anything. He'd decided that if Jay wanted him to try to get along with her..the best way to do that was to remain silent.

After an hour of smoking joint after joint, because Vince was convinced it chill her out, they'd finally run out of weed and Ronnie was some what relaxed, but she knew that as soon as Caden opened his mouth her high would be gone and she'd no longer be relaxed.

There was a knock at the door and Vince looked at her expecting it to get it and she rolled her eyes. Normally Vince wasn't such a huge ass. He was normally the only one who put up with Veronica's shit. The only person on the face of the planet she could trust. But when Jay and Jimmy were around he was an ass hole, because he acted like them.

"Took you long enough." Jack smirked and Ronnie rolled her eyes, opening the door allowing both of them to come inside.

"Drinks, Pretty Boy." she heard Jay say as he shut the door and she knew that would mean she'd be getting the drinks. She headed into the kitchen making drinks. She could feel Jacks eyes on her, she always could.

"It's been a while since I've seen you. How've you all been?" she heard him say a she brought the drinks into the living room handing on to Pretty boy and Jay. She set Jimmy's done in front of him, practically ignoring his existence.

"Well you an Jimmy are pretty sprung on each other, I figured the two of you are butt buddies," She shrugged holding Jacks eyes. "I didn't you need me around anymore." She said with a wicked smirk.

She knew Jack wants her back. Most people didn't know they were ever together, they knew they messed around but they didn't know much more. But she'd actually dated Jack for a year or so without anyone knowing and she'd been the one to call it off because being she was never good with commitment.

"Is he as good in bed as me." She smirked glancing to Jimmy then back to Jack.

"Cut the shit Ronnie." Vincent spat harshly, she turned her eyes to her brother, glaring at him.

"Oh I'm sorry Vinny, I forgot your just as far up Jacks ass as Jimmy." She rolled her eyes.

As much as she should be afraid of Jimmy, Jay, and Pretty boy...because they were all dangerous in there own respects she wasn't scared of any of them. She went back into the kitchen grabbing the rest of the bottle and hopping on the counter, leaning agains the wall, taking a swig of the bottle. She lit herself a cigarette, taking a long drag off of it, before blowing the smoke back out in perfectly practiced O shapes.

Her shitty flip phone went of in her pocket and she pulled out reading the text. It was from her cousin letting her know, he had a new car for her to come check out and that their was a race, 30 grand being the prize.

She glanced up to Jack "Race tonight." She smirked

As Baby began spouting at Jack and Jimmy, it was all the Caden could do to remain silent. He had been doing a wonderful job of keeping his mouth shut until the woman said, "Is he as good in bed as me." However, Pretty Boy beat him to speaking to her. Caden eyed Baby for a moment, as if trying to decide if it was worth getting in trouble for speaking out at her. He chose to wait, literally biting his tongue. His eyes continued to follow her as she moved into the kitchen and then to the counter, sitting on it. He, at last pulled his gaze from her, looking back to Jack as he spoke. "Princess, you're pushing my buttons a bit too much for so early in the morning." He eyed her for a moment before looking to Jimmy. He was quite surprised that he'd remained quiet for as long as he had. It wasn't like him. Perhaps the younger man had decided it best not to get into trouble that day..or try to stay on his good side for as long as possible.

Before anyone else was able to say anything, Baby spoke again, looking at Jack. "Race tonight." Jack immediately turned his gaze back to the young woman, a smirk on his face. "Is that so? Well..guess that means you'd better have your ass out there tonight. And I expect you to win. I'd hate for you to disappoint me, Princess. You know that I don't do well with disappointment. Jimmy, I want you there too. You should be able to get rid of quite a bit of merch. We'll make a killing."

Jimmy immediately turned to Jack. He had never really cared for cars. When he'd been living back in Florida, his mother of course had a real shitty car. Caden had never really been all that interested in cars. He just had never seen the appeal. The last thing that he wanted to do was be at the race, selling. Especially if Baby was going to be there. Of course, he could always get someone to go with him. At least that way he'd be able to more easily tolerate the time there. "Fine. But don't expect me to be her sitter. I've got my own shit to take care of." Jimmy said, glaring at Baby.

Jack rarely frequented the races and Caden was actually unsure as to why this was. He would never ask him and he honestly doubted that Jay would give him a honest answer. "We're all in this together..you'll take care of her because Pretty Boy is going to be helping me with something." The two men glared at each other for a few long moments before Jimmy finally backed down, nodding ever so slightly. That was just one more thing that he would have to worry about. "I'll meet you there, then. And you'd better not be late. Got it? I'd hate for something terrible to happen to your pretty face, bitch." Jimmy said, not even bothering to look at Baby. Jack didn't say anything to this. He was used to the two fighting. Jimmy was actually being nice compared to how he normally was.

"Princess, you're pushing my buttons a bit too much for so early in the morning." she heard Jack threaten her as she took another drag from her cigarette, his words didn’t even phase her. If fact she’d pretended he hadn’t said anything.

Her and Jack had, had a rocky relationship to put it lightly. When they weren’t shooting up and having sex, they were beating the shit out of each other. Jack could tell you first hand, Veronica never back down from a fight and she could hold her own against the toughest guys. But, for some reason, that Ronnie didn’t understand, when it came to her father, he was the only man alive who scared her and who she never tried fighting back against.

"Is that so? Well..guess that means you'd better have your ass out there tonight. And I expect you to win. I'd hate for you to disappoint me, Princess. You know that I don't do well with disappointment. Jimmy, I want you there too. You should be able to get rid of quite a bit of merch. We'll make a killing." He said, referring to her telling him about the race.

She rolled her eyes, she had a reputation in the street racing world. Her gang world was a whole separate world. Everyone knew she was in the underground street racing world. She was one of the only girls who raced and the only girl in a four hundred mile radius that actually made the guys worry, because she was good. She was just as wild and reckless as the guys who raced.

"Fine. But don't expect me to be her sitter. I've got my own shit to take care of." Caden said causing her to turn her gaze to him and let out a scoff as if she really need a babysitter, she rolled her eyes deciding to keep her mouth shut and take a swig from the bottle.

"We're all in this together…you'll take care of her because Pretty Boy is going to be helping me with something." Ronnie could help bet let out a small victorious laugh at that, the fact that no matter what Jack was pretty much going to make him her body guard for the night.

Normally her and Vince were never apart and whenever she raced, he always went with her and followed her like a body guard, not that she really needed it, but no matter how tough Ronnie was, she was still an attractive girl and the people they dealt with were shady, even Veronica knew it wasn’t smart going to those things alone. Her cousin and his gang was normally there, but they were always so busy dealing with bets and checking out cars. Not to mention Jack insisted someone constantly be with her when he couldn’t, it was kind of irritating now that she thought of it.

"I'll meet you there, then. she heard Caden’s voice and it pulled her from her thoughts and just by the tone of his voice she could tell he was going to say something that would piss her off to no end. And you'd better not be late. Got it? I'd hate for something terrible to happen to your pretty face, bitch." She raised a brow hopping down from the counter and she could feel Jack and Vince’s eyes on her, because they knew she was going to do something.

The best way to describe Baby, would be a wild, unpredictable time bomb and Jimmy was always setting her off. Thought she would never admit it out loud, she kind of liked fighting with her, because unlike other guys, he actually wasn’t intimidated by her and he was the only one save for Jay and Pretty Boy that taunted and challenged her.

She walked across the small room crossing her arms as she stopping in front of Caden, looking down at him, the coffee table to only thing separating them. His eyes still not looking at her and that pissed her off even more, she was surprised Vince and Jack hadn’t gotten up to try and stop her from whatever she was about to do.

“That’s so sweet of you Jimmy.” Her voice was cotton candy sweet, which was rather odd to hear coming from Baby. She smiled sweetly as if she’d really taken his words as a compliment. “You think I have a pretty face.”

She reached down grabbing his cup of alcohol that was still sitting on the table and Vincent obviously knew what she was about to do and she watched him jump up from the couch quickly, but he wasn’t quick enough. With a quick movement of her wrist, the contents of the glass was covering Caden, soaking him in Vodka.

“Who’s the bitch now.” She taunted, smirking satisfied with herself, but her satisfaction was short lived when she felt Vincent’s arm wrap around her waist tightly.

She braced herself already knowing what was coming, like clockwork. She knew Vince was going to put her in her place. He slammed her back into the wall so hard she knew it’s leave a bruise along her spine. Vince glared at her, but she kept her eyes on Caden. Her back was throbbing in pain, but she ignored it.

“You wanna tell me what the fuck your problem is Ronnie.” He spat harshly in a low ordering tone. “Are you trying to get yourself killed, because at this point, if Jack doesn’t kill you I’m liable to, you out of control.” She finally pulled her eyes from Jimmy to look at her brother.

Baby shoved Pretty boy off of her as hard as she could, slipping out of his grip. “My problem is that ass hole.” She sad raising her voice, looking from Vince to Caden. “You think you’re so much better than me, because you’re up Jack’s ass and you and my brother are best friends?” she scoffed, letting her eyes look over him, disgusted with him. “You’re a fucking poser. No one likes you Jimmy…why don’t you do us all a favor and kill yourself.” She spat harshly and she could see Vince coming at her again, but before he could grab her she stopped him.

“Fuck of Vinny. You three deserve each other.” She said turning her back to them as she headed towards her room. Vincent closed his eyes sighing, when Ronnie really lost it no one, not even Vinny could calm her down, he glanced to the guys.

“Sorry.” Was all he could manage.

“That’s so sweet of you Jimmy.” Baby said, sounding far to sweet. “You think I have a pretty face.” Jimmy turned his gaze to Baby immediately. He really didn't like her tone. His gaze merely rested on her, taking her in. As if in slow motion, Baby picked up his cup that held alcohol. Vince moved, trying to get to his sister quickly. As if suddenly, Baby was dumping the alcohol on Caden. “Who’s the bitch now.” Just as Vince was wrapping his arms around Baby, Caden was getting up. Caden was furious. He wasn't about to let Baby get away with treating him the way that she was. Though they never seemed to get along, Jimmy secretly enjoyed fighting with her. She was always ready to go off on him and it always took little to set her off. If Vince had not gotten the young woman away from him, it was likely that he would have hit her..or tried to. He doubted that either of the other men would have allowed him to touch her. Now that Vince had moved Baby, Caden realized that perhaps the other man had seen enough of his sister's attempts to anger him.

Jimmy was standing, dripping from the liquid. Jack and he watched as Vince took care of his sister. As he stood there, watching the scene unfold, Jack remained sitting, watching as well. Neither said anything, allowing Vince to handle his sister. Suddenly, Baby shoved her brother from her. Jimmy was unsure what had just been said, but Baby spoke. “My problem is that ass hole.” Her voice rose, her eyes looking from Vince to Jimmy. “You think you’re so much better than me, because you’re up Jack’s ass and you and my brother are best friends?” The look that he received was painful for him to hand, however he wasn't about to let her see that. “You’re a fucking poser. No one likes you Jimmy…why don’t you do us all a favor and kill yourself.”

Vince started for Baby once again but she stopped him, speaking. “Fuck off Vinny. You three deserve each other.” The young woman made her way quickly to what Jimmy knew to be her bedroom. Her last words to him cut through him like a blade upon butter. Very few people knew that he would try to overdose or cut when things got to him..though he'd never been able to actually go through with it. Things that upset him terribly caused this. It had been some time since he'd done anything like that but right at that momnt he wanted to just get lost in the drugs. They were his comfort..the one thing in this world that he could count on.

“Sorry.” Vince said. Jack looked to the light haired man. "Don't worry about her. We've got more important things to be dealing with. Tonight, you're coming with me to take care of a former member. He thinks that he can just steal from me and get away with it. It needs to be taken care of."

As he listened to Jay, Jimmy realized that he needed to get out of there. If he was going to be forced to put up with baby later that night, he needed to calm down. He turned and made to leave the trailer when Jay's voice sounded. "Don't do anything stupid, Jimmy." Caden didn't acknowledge him but continued out the door.

Once outside, Caden began walking. He didn't care that it would take him some time to reach his small, shitty place. All that he cared about was getting away from that trailer. What did that dumb bitch know, anyway? She didn't know him at all. He kicked the dirt that lay on the road, in frustration. He wasn't quite sure why her words bothered him so much. All he knew was that he couldn't stand Ronnie.

Once he arrived back at his place, Caden quickly poured himself a drink and then rolled a joint. He quickly downed the liquid, feeling the effects quickly. He then, flopped onto his sad looking bed, and slowly took hit after hit. He wanted to forget Baby..Jack..Vince. Forget about how shitty his life was and how really..there was not a single person in the world that really wanted him there.

Veronica was fuming, it took everything inside of her to not run back out there and beat the shit out of all three of them or at least try. She couldn’t stand them when they were all together. She could handle Jack alone, because she was used to his violence and she kind of liked the fact that Jack considered her his. She could handle Caden alone, because all they ever did was fight and her brother was the only who understood her. But, together the three of them drove her completely insane.

She knew that Vinny wouldn’t come to see if she was okay, or apologize for the bruise that he’d most likely given her, because Jack would tell him there was no time and he’d listen. So instead of staying pissed off, she peeled off her clothes. Leaving her in nothing but her lacy black bra and matching underwear. She grabbed her bottle of prescription Codeine from under the bed and popped a few of them knowing they’d make her comfortably numb. She grabbed her stolen IPod off her night stand and placed the ear buds in her ears, before sinking down onto the bottom bunk of her bed.

She pulled the covers over her, turning on her IPod and switching it to one of her favorite bands. Letting the song drown out all her worries and frustration as she closed her eyes and started to drift to sleep.

It was her father’s screaming that pulled her from her deep sleep. She pulled her ear buds out of her ear and slipped on one of Vinny’s old shirts that looked like a dress on her as she peeked out of her room. Of course on the one day that she was trying to forget about her life, her father would show up after being gone for three days. He was screaming at Mary about something and she looked like she’d already been slapped around a bit.

“Hey asshole, leave her the fuck alone.” Ronnie yelled causing her father to turn his cold, angry gaze on her, which was exactly what she wanted, she glanced Mary as her father made his way to her, giving her younger sister a get the hell out of their kind of look.

Ronnie stepped out a little further from her room ready for her father to beat the shit out of her, because she’d gotten in the way. He stood in front of her and her heart pounded hard in her chest she was terrified as she looked into the blue eyes that matched her. He was the only thing on the face of the planet that actually scared her, but she’d never let him know that.

He slapped her across the face so hard it mad her neck snap to the side and her face burned instantly. Tears rimmed her eyes but she never let them fall she couldn’t let him know how weak she was. She forced herself to look back at him.

“Don’t you ever talk to me like that again, you little bitch.” He spat, centimeters from her face and she could smell the alcohol on his breath. She rolled her eyes and he’d caught it, because he’d punch her in her stomach causing her to gasp from breath and double over. When she finally caught her breath, she coughed violently letting out a small groan in pain. He grabbed a fist full of her hair forcing her to look at him again. “Learn some manors Veronica Jade or I’ll teach you.” He spat harshly causing her to cringe at the use of her full name. “Your just like your worthless mother.” He whispered darkly before realizing her and walking past her towards his room.

She felt sick to her stomach when her father compared her to her mother that was the one thing she couldn’t handle. She hated her mother worse than her father. Just the simple fact that she resembled her, killed Ronnie every day, so for her father to actually compare her, killed her.

She stood there for a long time, despite the fact that she could feel the blood from her nose and her face still burned insanely bad. When she heard the door open she finally forced herself to move despite how much pain she was in. She moved to the kitchen sink, grabbing a wash rag and wiping the blood from her face as she lend over the sink, wanting nothing more than to cry but she couldn’t allow herself to do that.

She was surprised to see it was Kristin who walked through the door with both Pixton and Olive and she seemed sober for once. Kristin gave Veronica a weak smile, when she saw her already knowing what had happened.

“I’m sorry Ronnie.” She said, but Ronnie just shrugged as she headed into the bathroom, stripping down and stepping into the shower, even in the privacy of the bathroom she refused to cry, because it made her feel weak. By the time she got out of the shower the sun was setting and it was time to head over to her cousins sop and get ready for the races.

She wiped away the fogged up mirror, taking a look at herself for the first time in a long time, debating on whether or not to just shatter the mirror, because she hated seeing her mother and father when she looked at herself. Her father had given her a black eye and a fat lip, and a nasty bruise on her ribs where he’d punched her, matching the one along her spine from her brother, yet she still looked beautiful and she hated that, she didn’t deserve to look beautiful.

She headed to her room, slipping on her outfit for the races. her shirt barely covering the bruise her father had given her. It didn’t bother her when guys cat called her as she walked down the streets. When the sun finally disappeared and the street lights came on she finally reached her cousin, Giovanni’s shop.

His shop was one of the nicest and he was extremely popular among the street racers, because he knew his cars, better than anyone in a four hundred mile radius. Plus his crew was insanely good, his shop was the best around. Music blared from inside, his garage was long closed, but it was open to street racers a hang out before the races.

Girls were walking around half dressed or wearing close to nothing, but all heads turned when Baby walked in, because she had a reputation. Every guy wanted her and every girl wanted to be her. One of her cousins guys walked up to her, one she knew really well, she’d even hooked up with him a few times.

“Damn Babydoll, I think you get hotter every time I see you.” Keon smirked wrapping an arm around her waist and causally placing his lips to her neck. She rolled her eyes but she didn’t bother pushing him away, he pulled away taking a step back and looking her over. “Your dad give you that shiner?” he said referring to her black eye and she shrugged in reply.

“Where’s Gio?” she asked and Keon, laced his fingers with hers leading her over to where Gio sat with a girl on his lap and a few friends sat around him.

He gestured for the girl to get off as he stood up, heading over to her and wrapping his arms around her giving her a big hug. She sighed, he was the only one aside from Vinny, she let actually hug her. He pulled away looking her over, before sighing.

“Ronnie I told you, if your Uncle Rick, keeps this up, I’m going to kill him.” He said in a hush tone so only she could hear. “That offers still up if you want to move in.” he held her eyes.

“Gio, you know if it wasn’t for the kids I would in a heartbeat.” She smirked “Now where’s my car?” he smirked wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Keon following behind them. “Everyone’s been trying to buy it off me all night.” He said leading her to an older car, that was all souped out and she could tell right away Giovanni had been working on it all day, she fell in love the second she saw it.

“Holy fucking shit Gio, where did you lift this thing from.” She said walking over to it and looking over it. “It’s beautiful.” She gushed, like a little kid.

“Oh yeah know how I like to lift from the rich and famous.” He smirked, he shrugged like it was no big deal. “I knew it was yours the second I saw it.” He smirked.

Veronica bent over sticking her head through the window, feeling someone smack her ass and almost instantly she turned around, ready to punch whoever it was in the face, but he caught her arm before she had a chance and she rolled her eyes realizing it was Gio’s best friend Chase. He smirked causing Ronnie to plaster a fake smile on his lips and flip him off.

“Shit Babe, put the claws away.” He said releasing he clenched fist. “By the way your cousins a fucking liar, I lifted this beauty.” He winked.

Ronnie rolled her eyes. “What do you want me to fuck you?” she hissed rising a brow and if Chase didn’t know her so well he wouldn’t know she was teasing.

“It’s be nice.” He teased back, causing Ronnie to lighten up and laugh a bit.

“Alright, we better head over to the races.” Giovanni said “You’re driving there” he said looking to Baby, tossing her the keys as all four of them piled in headed towards the races.

Caden spent most of his day in a constant high. He did not move from his bed, simply choosing to remain on the broke in mattress. He tried so hard not to think about the events of earlier, however he found his mind constantly drifting to Baby's words. “You’re a fucking poser. No one likes you Jimmy…why don’t you do us all a favor and kill yourself.” The more he thought about her words, the more he agreed with them. He thought that Jay and Pretty Boy liked him..but perhaps that was just him being wishful. Had he been blind all this time? Did those that he did consider friends only keep him around because he was so good at what he did? If that was the case..then really..what point was there to remaining alive? It would be so simple.

He rose from his bed at last and made his way into the small, crappy looking bathroom. Once in there, Caden slowly made his way over to the small tub and sat down on the edge. He did not move, he simply sat there..staring at the few items that lay about the edge. His eyes kept coming back to a small piece of metal that lay near him..a razor blade.

It would be so easy for him to end everything. As Baby had said..no one would care. Really..what was keeping him there? Sure, he had Sarah when he wanted her but there was nothing between them besides lust. Slowly, Caden picked up the blade, studying it intently. He'd cut before though he'd been trying to stop. For about a month he'd not had the urge to harm himself but now..that was all that he could think about.

Suddenly, Caden ran the cold blade across his wrist, barely missing his tattoo. He dug deep and he couldn't really say that he felt all that much pain. He watched as more and more blood poured out of the open wound. The color almost seemed to mesmerize him. He couldn't look away. Caden gently sad the blade back down on the tub and simply watched as more and more of his crimson blood ran down his hand, dripping to the ground.

Caden felt his head spinning and before he knew it he was laying on the ground, looking up at the ceiling. Was this it, then? Had he finally gone to far? In all honesty, Caden did not care. He was ready for the end..for all of his pain and suffering to go away. His vision began going black and he felt..excited. He was more than ready for the next step. Caden tried to allow his soul to lift from his body but as he closed his eyes he could hear the faint beep beeping. He ignored it, feeling all awareness leave his body.

Caden awoke with a start, breathing heavily. He'd dreamed of ending his life..again. He tried to calm himself, though it was not a easy thing to do. Though he'd often cut when he was younger, it was truly something that he didn't want to do anymore. Finally breathing normally, Caden got up and changed his clothing. Once he was ready, he gathered his supplies and headed out the door.

He left a bit earlier than he needed to, but he just really didn't want to stay at his place. He was afraid of what would happen if he did. He arrived at the location the race was supposed to take place at and he began working. However, Caden was forced to keep a eye out of Baby. He would have done anything to get out of being her 'bodyguard' for the night. It was the last thing that he wanted to do. Hell..he didn't even want to see her face.

Caden felt his mood immediately drop, getting even more depressed, if that was possible. He sighed as he spotted the young woman that he was supposed to be watching out for. He supposed that meant that he would need to join her. He finished up the deal that he handling before slowly making his way towards Baby. When he reached her, he spoke. "Hey, bitch. You're late. I thought that I told you to be here on time." In all honesty, the woman that stood before him really wasn't that late. Only a few minutes at most. After he'd allowed her time to reply, he spoke again. "Whatever. Look, I'm going to be over there," he said, pointing to where he'd been before walking over to her, "When you're not in your car, stay in my sight..got it? I can't control what happens to you if I can't see you."

With that, Caden left Baby's side, making his way back to where he'd been earlier. He began dealing once again, though this time he kept glancing at Baby every once in a while. He couldn't figure out why Jay liked her as much as he did. Caden was no idiot. He knew that his friend cared for her somewhat but to what extent..he still did not know. It was none of his business, after all. He normally didn't come to the races and so he was actually a bit excited to see what would happen. Once he was done selling everything that he'd brought with him, Caden turned his gaze to the cars. It seemed to him that they were getting ready to start.

Veronica’s driving was flawless it always was and she had a bad habit of driving way to damn fast, so by the time she’d gotten to the back roads on the out skirts of LA, Keon was scared to death and both Chase and Gio were laughing at how much of a chicken he was. Finally she pulled into a parking spot, next to the other cars, it was her normal spot.

“Relax Keon.” Giovanni smirked “Ronnie here is the best damn driver around, I’d trust her with my life when it comes to cars.” He smirked. “Chase, start taking bets. Keon, go grab us some beers, and you just look pretty Baby.” He said turning to Ronnie and she rolled her eyes.

Eventually she was left alone with her new car, she popped the hood, glancing over her engine. Girls were walking around half dressed and giving her looks, because she wasn’t a flag girl like them or a piece of arm candy, she was actually in the races.

“Well if it’s isn’t Ronnie.” She heard a voice from behind her, she turned to face him crossing her arms in front of her. “When are you going to retire your cars and come be my girl?” Jessie smirked.

She glanced between the girls on each of his arms, he was her biggest competition. If Ronnie didn’t win the races it was Jessie who won. She glanced back to him plastering a fake smile on her lips and she could tell Jessie was mentally preparing himself for whatever she was about to say. Only before she had the chance Caden’s voice caught her off guard.

Hey, bitch. You're late. I thought that I told you to be here on time." he said and she rolled her eyes irritated, trying to bite her tongue because she knew she had to focus on the race.

“I’m so sorry.” She said sarcastically glancing to him.

"Whatever. Look, I'm going to be over there, When you're not in your car, stay in my sight...got it? I can't control what happens to you if I can't see you." he said and that pissed her off the fact that he thought she actually needed him.

Veronica, alked after him grabbing his wrist roughly and turning him to face her. “Let’s get something straight right now. I don’t need a babysitter.” She spat harshly. “If something happens to me and you’re not watching, Jay’s going to have your ass.” She smirked “You’re responsible for me…which means If I wonder off…you follow me, I don’t follow you.” She said with a shrug. “Good luck.” She winked as she turned around and quickly disappeared into the crowd of people purposely wanting to lose him

Suddenly, Caden felt someone grabbing him by the wrist roughly, forcing him to turn. Of course it was Baby. Why he'd thought that she'd leave him alone..he didn't know. He didn't like being this close to her. It only caused him anger and honestly, he was still rather upset about earlier. “Let’s get something straight right now. I don’t need a babysitter.” she spat at him. “If something happens to me and you’re not watching, Jay’s going to have your ass. You’re responsible for me…which means If I wonder off…you follow me, I don’t follow you....Good luck.” Caden didn't even have a chance to reply to her before Baby disappeared into the throng of people.

He could feel his blood boiling as he quickly took off trying to keep her at least in his sight. He should have predicted that she would react this way. Why couldn't anything be easy? As he pushed his way through the people, Caden could feel the anger almost rolling off of him in waves. Why did he have to be the one to babysit Baby? Her brother usually did it..what was so important that he couldn't do it that night? He huffed in anger, continuing through the people. Considering how quickly the young woman moved, Caden thought that he was doing rather well keeping up with her.

After some time of chasing her, Caden was finally fed up. He sped up, walking as quickly as he could, grabbing her arm roughly. He forced her to look at him, the anger in his eyes showing. "You fucking crazy ass bitch. What the fuck is your problem? Are you trying to get us both in trouble?" he asked, quickly pushing her up against the nearest wall. He made sure that she couldn't get away from him..at least not yet. "It's no wonder there's not a single person in this world that wants to put up with you. There is no one that wants you for anything except your body. Stop acting like a child."

With that, Caden released Baby, taking a step back. His eyes remained on her for a moment. There had been so much more that he had wanted to say but for some reason he had resisted. He didn't allow himself to wonder about his actions. He focused on Baby, looking for her reaction to his words. He wanted to make her angry..to feel the pain that he'd felt earlier that day. He then decided that he'd not finished. "Just imagine your life once you're older. There will be no one around that wants you..not even for the pleasure that you were once able to give. At least I'll still be useful down the road."

It was easy to disappear into the crowd, she was so pissed off at him, that she was scared to see him again because if he said one more thing she as liable to punch in in the face and break his jaw. She’d done it to Jack, she could do it to him. His words, made her want to find trouble, because seeing him fall from Jack’s right hand man to Jay’s enemy would be a pleasure.

She’d thought she finally lost him and she’d slowed down until she felt him grab her and she could tell it was him by the way his skin felt against hers. She’d always ignored it, but his touch had always set her whole body on fire, she’d always managed to cover her attraction to him with rage and hatred for him.

"You fucking crazy ass bitch. What the fuck is your problem? Are you trying to get us both in trouble?" He forced her against the nearest wall harshly and as much as it hurt, because of the bruise Vinny had given her earlier that day, she didn’t show her pain. "It's no wonder there's not a single person in this world that wants to put up with you. There is no one that wants you for anything except your body. Stop acting like a child." his words had somehow hurt, normally she could ignore anyone’s harsh words because of the awful things her father said, but coming from Jimmy, it hurt and she couldn’t understand why, but she simply smirked, because she knew it would piss him off if he couldn’t get a reaction.

He released her then and they held each other’s gaze, she knew he was still angry about what she’d said earlier and it was satisfying to know she’d gotten to him, which made it easier to ignore the harsh things he was throwing at her. Her gaze was taunting like she was daring him to say more.

"Just imagine your life once you're older. There will be no one around that wants you..not even for the pleasure that you were once able to give. At least I'll still be useful down the road." he finally finished.

She let it fall silent for a moment and she debated on whether or not she actually wanted to fight with him. But, Ronnie could never just walk away from a fight. If you said something to her, she was going to say something back that would rip you apart and make you feel ten times worse then you were trying to make her feel.

“What makes you think I want anyone around.” She said holding his eyes. “I don’t need anyone. Not my brother. Not Jack and definitely not you.” She said looking over him, she took a step forward challenging him to hit her, there was a wickedness to her eyes that would scare anyone who knew her, save for Vinny, Jack and Caden. “Besides.” She started in a low voice so only he could hear what she was about to say. “You’re going to be just as alone as me.” She said raising her brow. “You’re worthless Caden.” She said using his real name “Just like me.” She winked.

“Baby, you’re up.” Chase called out to her, she flicked her eyes to chase before looking back to him.

She lend in dangerously close, placing a wickedly taunting kiss on his cheek and letting her lips linger on his skin. She could reel in any guy or girl for that matter, there was just something so intoxicating about her, even just a kiss on the cheek made most guys want more, there was just something so dark about Ronnie. She pulled back just enough to whisper in his ear.

“You and I aren’t that different babe.” She whispered darkly. “Stop trying to act like your so much better than me.” With that she took a step back looking into his eyes for a second longer before walking past him heading to her car.

There was silence for a few moments Baby spoke. “What makes you think I want anyone around." Baby held Caden's eyes. “I don’t need anyone. Not my brother. Not Jack and definitely not you.” She took a step forward challenging him. “Besides, you’re going to be just as alone as me. You’re worthless Caden.” She used his real name “Just like me.” Almost suddenly, someone yelled for the young woman before him. Baby leaned in close to him..closer than he would have normally allowed her. And then..she kissed his cheek, her lips lingering. “You and I aren’t that different babe. Stop trying to act like your so much better than me.” Finally, she stepped away from him, and then walked away to her car.

Caden wasn't sure whether he wanted to be angry with her..or to want her. She infuriated him to no end but Caden wasn't blind. She was so very alluring. He turned around and leaned against the wall that Ronnie had just been against. He would remain there until she returned. He crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes. He just wanted to go home. It wasn't long that the race started. As he was alone, Caden couldn't help but think over Ronnie's words. Perhaps they really weren't all that different. Either way, he still didn't like her. She knew just how to put him on edge.

He was going to have a long talk with Jay the next time he got him by himself. He didn't want the other man to think that he was willing to go with Baby whenever they wanted. He was afraid that he would do something that he would regret later on. He sighed heavily, turning his gaze out to where all the cars were. He couldn't stand them..not really. They were loud..at least the ones that were raced. He just couldn't see the appeal. Suddenly, Caden's train of thought was interrupted as the sound of cars got louder and then disappeared. Now all he had to do was wait for Baby to return.

As he remained against the wall, he looked about at all the different people there. He thought that at some point he saw Sarah but he lost her. He was sure that if she wanted to see him that she would find him at some point..or she'd just call him later. Even though they weren't dating..he was rather fond of the girl. He shared a bed with her often. And then his mind drifted to Baby. Why couldn't she just listen to what she was told? He shook his head. He couldn't understand her..and he honestly didn't want to. He couldn't let her get in the last word, however. When she got back..he would have a few choice words for her..words that she would most likely not like.
