Why did you choose to be a hero? Well, I've always been a man inclined to ... uh... rightfulness. And also, curiosity is a characteristic of my personality. It's my nature to be good and inquisitive. And this, is the nature of a hero.
How did you become a hero? Heh, I was born a hero. I can say I just followed the steps of my father.
It is rumored that you are son of yourself and that your mother is also your half-sister. Is this true? Yes it is, but thats a long story...
You are often pointed as a mad person. Isnt this a bit strange for a hero? Let me explain: It is not actually maddness, it is just... hell, this is pointless. You reality dwellers would never understand. It is something extrasensorial and thus, it lays beyond the human imagination...

Paradox's Powers Mechanics Tutorial
Crossroads:
---Opening a Crossroads---
Paradox creates a crossroads in timeline by splitting the current reality into four. All those four newly created realities will come from an intersection, which means that the initial state of everything will be the same at all realities.
Lets try an example. Imagine this initial situation:
Paradox has a dagger and he is facing Mr. Evil, who has a single bullet in his pistol.
Before throwing his dagger, Paradox decides to 'open a crossroads,' rifting, this way, the current reality. The following events than happen:
Reality 1: Paradox hurls his dagger aiming Mr. Evil's head. Mr. Evil dodges and shoots, killing Paradox.
Reality 2: Paradox throws his dagger aiming Mr. Evil's neck and succeeds.
Reality 3: Paradox dont throw his dagger and runs away from Mr. Evil as fast as he can. Mr. Evil shoots but misses and than shouts: "Run! I will chase you from my chopper!"
Reality 4: Paradox hurls his weapon aiming Mr. Evil's Stomach and misses. Mr. Evil laughts at his foe's inability and shoots, but he also misses.
Notes:
1 all those events occur simultaneously.
2 Only one Paradox, one dagger and one Mr. Evil can exist in each reality. Duplicates wont ever happen. (Golden Rule!)
3 Mr. Evil from reality 1 (called from now on Mr. Evil 1) will never realize the existence of other pararell realities. Mr. Evil 1 would not acknowledge the existence of his other selfs (which would be Mr. Evil 2, 3 and 4).
4On the other hand, all 4 Paradoxs share knowledge about all events. Paradox 1 would realize that Mr. Evil has a chopper, because Paradox 3 heard Mr. Evil 3 saying so.
....... 4.1- Despite of sharing knowledge, each Paradox has his own body and brain. If Paradox 4 eventually got some weed he would start tripping, but Paradox 1, 2 and 3 wouldnt.
....... 4.2- The knowledge sharing may connect all Paradoxes. Imagine that Paradox 1 heard a funny joke at his reality ('Reality 1'). Paradox 2 and 3 may start laughing apparently out of nowhere, while Paradox 4, who is watching a sad funeral would assume the joke as being not funny (due to his current state of spirit induced by the sad funeral) and wouldnt laught
---Closing a Crossroads---
Paradox knows that sooner or later he will need to 'close the crossroads'. To do so he must choose a single reality of those four to 'remain'.
Still using the previous example: Paradox considers it vital to kill Mr. Evil, so he will close the crossroads choosing the Reality 2. What really happened than? Paradox threw a dagger at Mr. Evil and killed him. Nothing else, but Paradox somehow still knows about Mr. Evil's chooper (An observer would not be able to tell how did acquired this knowledge).
Notes:
1 Closing the crossroads means choosing one reality to follow the story and discarding the other three. All knowledge already obtained by the 4 Paradoxes will still be known by Paradox. Whether if the realities really disappear or whether Paradox only loses his conection with them does not matter at all.
2 Paradox can only open a new crossroads once he closes the previous one totaly.
3 Paradox can close each reality separately, but he will only be able to open a new crossroads when a single reality remains opened.
4 Paradox lives at four realities with the same naturality as a normal human lives at one. For him, the only meaning of closing a crossroads is to be able to open a new one.
5 Crossroads are a simple mental abstration. They do not really exist as matter.
Reality Swap:
The crossroads is, in essence, nothing more than a mental connection between the many Paradox(es) living at intersecting realities.
Using the Reality Swap power, Paradox 1 is able to create a more concreteconnection with another of his selfs (for instance, Paradox 3) and pull him to Reality 1.
Unfortunately, two Paradox(es) cant coexist at a single reality. So, as a reaction, Paradox 1 is pulled into Reality 3. His two bodies swap realities. Notice that the bodies will appear at the place they would be at their current realities, so this can be used as a kind of 'Teleportation'.
Unfortunately, as a side effect, Paradox will lose his connection with Paradox 1 once the bodies swap (which is the same as saying that Reality 3 will be 'closed').
Lets clarify things with an example:
Its 7:00am and Paradox is at his home, watching TV. Paradox must be at work at 8:00am, so he decides to open a crossroads and the following events happens:
Reality 1 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 1)
Reality 2 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 2)
Reality 3 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 3)
Reality 4 Paradox leaves his home at 7:00am and heads to the workplace. During his journey he accidentally wounds his knee, but he seems not to care. At 7:58am he reaches the company.
At 8:00am, Paradox 1 decides to use his Reality Swap power with Paradox 4. Than the following events happen:
Reality 1 At 8:00 Paradox was watching TV when he suddently vanishes, appearing (simultaneously) in the middle of the office room. A bit tired (due to his one hour walk) and with his knee wounded. Paradox finds his coleague and talks to him.
Reality 2 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 2)
Reality 3 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 3)
Reality 4 is closed.
After talking to his fellow coleague, Paradox decides to go back home, so he swaps Paradox 1 and 2:
Reality 1 After talking to his co-worker, Paradox vanishes, appearing at his home, totally rested, lying at the sofa. The TV is turned on channel 1. His knee is not wounded.
Reality 2 is closed.
Reality 3 Paradox continues watching TV (channel 3)
With only two realities still running, Paradox will most certainly close Reality 3 to open a new crossroads.
Notes:
1 Paradox can only 'teleport' to where he already is, this means that he must eventually prepare his teleportation route beforehand.
2 Paradox can only 'teleport' items he carries at both used realities. At the example above, he could not bring anything from the office to home.
